- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn. Hands
- 0:03Speaker 1: to Hester and Hester.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yep, got it. Five out of five.
- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to a natty to carrying each
- 0:10Speaker 1: other on the air.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Flynn is back to throw for the end zone ball.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Cane Studio. It's Off the Bench.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I can't stand it. I don't.
- 0:39Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in OTB. Wednesday morning, Raising Cane Studio.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Go to ponchooutdoors.com slash off the bench. $ 10 off your
- 0:50Speaker 3: next poncho order.
- 0:53Speaker 2: It is now time. Cordell Stewart off the bench. Good
- 0:56Speaker 2: for you. Thank you.
- 0:57Speaker 3: That you remember his nickname was Slash.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Yeah, 90s. Where is Cordell Stewart from? New Orleans. Yep.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Big hands. Nice guess, bud. Big hand, high five. Yep.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Can you move the mic down?
- 1:11Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, I need to take it down.
- 1:15Speaker 4: It's in my line of sight.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Go ahead, Tay-Tay. You got to see this.
- 1:19Speaker 3: This is not very, you know, we're not exactly the
- 1:22Speaker 3: button-up show, you know. We wear butt-ins on the Pearl
- 1:25Speaker 3: Snaps and Poncho Wednesday, but.
- 1:27Speaker 2: They're snaps. We're too lazy. I mean, your hands and
- 1:29Speaker 2: fingers are too big to button. Yeah, that's true. Got
- 1:31Speaker 2: to snap. All right, it is the return.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Of Matt Flynn's top 10 NFL quarterback power rankings.
- 1:40Speaker 2: It's a big deal. It's a huge deal for these guys.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Why set it up like that? Like, if you make
- 1:44Speaker 2: this top 10 list, these guys are probably making it
- 1:48Speaker 2: a plaque and putting it on their wall, at least,
- 1:51Speaker 2: at their mansions. They probably print it out, maybe put
- 1:53Speaker 2: it on their refrigerator. Okay. Granted, if it's stainless steel, then,
- 1:57Speaker 2: of course, Magnus won't work. It's true. But it's a
- 2:00Speaker 2: big deal, and it's week one. Okay, we didn't do
- 2:03Speaker 2: a preseason just because... We didn't know anything. We didn't
- 2:07Speaker 2: really know anything. In week one, this is probably the
- 2:11Speaker 2: most exciting one because I'm judging this list off of
- 2:15Speaker 2: a number of things. But there's a lot of people
- 2:18Speaker 2: that had great performances. There's really good quarterbacks that will
- 2:21Speaker 2: probably be on this list that didn't make the top
- 2:23Speaker 2: ten list because this is after a post-week one top
- 2:27Speaker 2: ten list. Now, I'm not just... accounting for their performance
- 2:32Speaker 2: this week now that probably has the biggest variable to
- 2:35Speaker 2: do with it but i'm also just using my eyeballs
- 2:37Speaker 2: i'm using my history um and a lot of it
- 2:40Speaker 2: has to do with if i was starting a franchise
- 2:42Speaker 2: today who would i put on there but it's gonna
- 2:45Speaker 2: there's a lot of variables and they're not all going
- 2:46Speaker 2: to be consistent you're going to be like well you
- 2:48Speaker 2: said this for this guy but this this other guy's
- 2:50Speaker 2: in front of him because for the same reason I
- 2:52Speaker 2: don't care. It's my list, so I'll make it.
- 2:55Speaker 4: It doesn't have to make sense.
- 2:56Speaker 2: It doesn't have to make sense. It makes sense to me. Now,
- 2:59Speaker 2: do I think a lot of people will drop off
- 3:00Speaker 2: and more people will be added in the next couple
- 3:02Speaker 2: of weeks? Absolutely.
- 3:03Speaker 5: This is the official list, though. Last year, a couple
- 3:06Speaker 5: guys got cut because they wouldn't make the list.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yep, absolutely. This is a big deal for them. I
- 3:11Speaker 2: think there's also incentive bonuses in their contract for Flynn's
- 3:14Speaker 2: top ten. All right, let's go to number ten. Jackson Dark. Ooh,
- 3:20Speaker 2: fantastic performance. This is one of those guys that I
- 3:24Speaker 2: wouldn't be shocked if he's got the potential to potentially
- 3:27Speaker 2: stay in the top 10, but I'm not going to
- 3:28Speaker 2: be shocked if he falls out, but he had one
- 3:30Speaker 2: heck of a performance on prime time, 23 of 29,
- 3:34Speaker 2: 230 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions, and more importantly, zero concussions.
- 3:40Speaker 2: That is one of my bold predictions that he will
- 3:41Speaker 2: not have a concussion all season long. So if that
- 3:43Speaker 2: is true, He's going to be pretty good. He also
- 3:46Speaker 2: had 11 rushing attempts for 54 yards. 134.2 QBR in
- 3:51Speaker 2: the game. So, maybe a little bit of surprise, but
- 3:54Speaker 2: Jackson Dart coming in at number 10. Let's go to
- 3:56Speaker 2: number 9. Did you like that announcer voice right there?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 2: It sounded really fake coming out, but I had this
- 4:04Speaker 2: music in the background. We're going to go Jared Goff,
- 4:07Speaker 2: number 9. Okay. I got it. They didn't win by
- 4:11Speaker 2: a lot, but I am using a lot of Recency
- 4:14Speaker 2: bias in the last couple years. I am using the
- 4:17Speaker 2: fact that he was a statistical leader in most of
- 4:20Speaker 2: the passing categories last season. Stats weren't crazy this past
- 4:26Speaker 2: week against the Saints. 26 of 39, 206 yards, two touchdowns.
- 4:30Speaker 2: He only had two yards rushing. 96.7, a modest QBR.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But still, I'm going to give him benefit of the doubt.
- 4:37Speaker 2: If I'm starting to franchise today, Jared Goff would be
- 4:39Speaker 2: up on that list. All right, let's go to number eight.
- 4:42Speaker 2: This is going to be the one that people might like,
- 4:44Speaker 2: might not like. I'm not kicking Matthew Stafford out of
- 4:47Speaker 2: the top 10 after one loss in Australia. Not halfway
- 4:52Speaker 2: around the world. Around, like, all the way. All the way.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Is it his fault that his coaches got there the
- 4:57Speaker 5: day before the game?
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it is not. And so you're the reigning MVP.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You're going to stay on the top 10 list. You
- 5:03Speaker 2: will probably, probably, I say, finish a lot higher than
- 5:06Speaker 2: this at the end of the year and be a
- 5:07Speaker 2: lot higher on this list throughout the season. But I'm
- 5:10Speaker 2: going to put you at a modest number eight. Matthew
- 5:13Speaker 2: Stafford does not live at eighth best quarterback in the NFL.
- 5:17Speaker 2: He won't live there. He will probably move higher unless
- 5:20Speaker 2: age is actually going to catch up with him. He
- 5:22Speaker 2: goes 15 to 25 in Australia, 155 yards. No touchdowns,
- 5:26Speaker 2: one interception, a 65.4 QBR. So that tells you right
- 5:31Speaker 2: there I'm not basing it just off of week one.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Matthew Stafford is still the man. All right, number seven.
- 5:36Speaker 2: The man that beat Matthew Stafford in Australia. Brock Purdy, 25-34,
- 5:41Speaker 2: 205 yards. Three tutters, did have a pick. Five rush attempts,
- 5:45Speaker 2: 29 yards. 105.6. Really good stats. Not like the sexiest
- 5:51Speaker 2: stats you've ever seen. But, man, was he efficient. He
- 5:54Speaker 2: runs that Kyle Shanahan offense to perfection. The guy's just good.
- 5:59Speaker 2: He didn't have these terrible bad games. He doesn't have
- 6:02Speaker 2: these big gaffes. He's just consistent. Very consistent. He's accurate.
- 6:06Speaker 2: And he is the perfect quarterback to work that offense. And, like, yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 2: does he get a lot of benefit because Kyle Shanahan's great? Yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Was he hurt last year? Mack Jones looked incredible. Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 2: It doesn't matter. You can't take the coach away from him.
- 6:18Speaker 2: This year, at least. Brock Purdy is going to be
- 6:22Speaker 2: up there. And I was very impressed. Watch out for
- 6:25Speaker 2: the Niners this year. All right. Number six.
- 6:28Speaker 6: I should get a little, like, a transition thing.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah. Does it? Oh, my God. Number six, Trevor Lawrence.
- 6:38Speaker 4: That's what we're doing after the show, by the way.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence. What? The guy from Clemson with
- 6:44Speaker 2: the long hair? He's number six in the NFL?
- 6:49Speaker 4: Sunshine?
- 6:49Speaker 2: Sunshine? Oh, yeah. Last year, Liam Cohen.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Played MVP-type level.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Five incompletions. He almost had as many touchdown passes as incompletions. 18-23.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And Cleveland's defense, it really is not bad.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Their offense is atrocious.
- 7:05Speaker 5: I think they were top 10 in the league a
- 7:06Speaker 5: year ago.
- 7:07Speaker 3: In every category.
- 7:08Speaker 2: He led the entire NFL this past weekend in QBR 150.6.
- 7:11Speaker 2: He was the highest graded on PFF quarterback in the
- 7:13Speaker 2: NFL at 87.1. Um, what a game for touchdown passes.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Didn't have a lot of rushes. Didn't have to do it,
- 7:27Speaker 2: but again, 150.6 QBR. So I wasn't really thinking that
- 7:33Speaker 2: he was going to make this top 10 list right now,
- 7:35Speaker 2: but the way he has played and the way he
- 7:37Speaker 2: is playing with, um, with the Duval people. Uh, yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 2: pretty good. Four tutters led the NFL. Pretty good. All right,
- 7:46Speaker 2: let's go to our top five. And he is five. Oh, who?
- 7:53Speaker 2: You should have put it for the top five. And
- 7:57Speaker 2: he is five. Jalen hurts. Another deep cut. OTB is right.
- 8:03Speaker 2: 14 to 25, 203 yards, three touchdowns, seven rush attempts
- 8:07Speaker 2: for 46 yards, a QBR of 122.2. This guy is
- 8:09Speaker 2: the kind of the epitome of just like the, the,
- 8:15Speaker 2: the ultimate team guy and gets it done when it matters.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Like he has, I agree. He just gets it done.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I like Jalen Hurts a lot. I do like Jalen Hurts.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I don't like the people that think he's the best
- 8:26Speaker 2: or top two. No, I don't either. He deserves to
- 8:29Speaker 2: be on the list. Absolutely.
- 8:31Speaker 6: 100%.
- 8:31Speaker 2: He is a competitor. All he does is really win, right?
- 8:34Speaker 2: His team just wins. So throwing it, running it. The
- 8:40Speaker 2: team leans on him a lot. I have hated on
- 8:43Speaker 2: him in the past, and it has nothing to do
- 8:44Speaker 2: with him. It has everything to do with the tush
- 8:47Speaker 2: push because I hate that. It's stupid, and it should
- 8:48Speaker 2: be outlawed, and it's not a real football play, and
- 8:50Speaker 2: I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. But
- 8:52Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts is very good. It's his fault.
- 8:55Speaker 4: It's not his fault.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It's his tush.
- 8:56Speaker 4: They are pushing.
- 8:57Speaker 2: He has the biggest quads ever. He does have some
- 8:59Speaker 2: big-ass quads. Okay, you missed me with the whole he
- 9:02Speaker 2: squats 650 pounds because most of the times his feet
- 9:04Speaker 2: aren't even touching the ground. They're picking him up and
- 9:07Speaker 2: pushing him.
- 9:08Speaker 4: That doesn't take away the fact that he squats that much.
- 9:10Speaker 5: A lot of other teams have not been as successful
- 9:12Speaker 5: doing it.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Shut up. Even Josh Allen. I don't care what y'all say.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Say it as much as you want. I don't care.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I don't care. Wow. I don't care. A lot of
- 9:22Speaker 2: other teams can't do it. Rubbing off on you. Wow.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Only Matt's right. Yeah. Thank you. Let's go to number four.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes. Taylor hates this. Taylor hates it. Alondra hates it.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I love it. Because it's Patrick Mahomes. Maybe the best
- 9:41Speaker 2: to ever do it. Maybe the best quarterback to ever
- 9:43Speaker 2: play the game. Patrick Mahomes. And he is back, baby.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I don't care how many stem cells. I don't care
- 9:48Speaker 2: how much HGH you put in that knee. I don't
- 9:49Speaker 2: care how many peptides. It doesn't really matter. If it helped,
- 9:53Speaker 2: they should make it legal for everybody. Because we want
- 9:56Speaker 2: our stars out there. And my God, is he a star?
- 9:59Speaker 2: He came back. Okay. maybe not the best point 86
- 10:01Speaker 2: quarterback rating but he just blew out his leg he
- 10:04Speaker 2: had he scored the first two touchdowns of the game
- 10:07Speaker 2: and one of them got called back rushing 15 to
- 10:09Speaker 2: 27 a modest 184 yards two touchdowns and a pick
- 10:10Speaker 2: seven rush attempts for 23 yards and a tutter 86?
- 10:16Speaker 2: I don't care. It's Patrick Mahomes. He's in my top
- 10:18Speaker 2: five because it seems to be that he is back.
- 10:21Speaker 2: And the Kansas City Chiefs did something this year that
- 10:23Speaker 2: they hadn't really done in a while, which is help him.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Help him offensively. They got a great offensive coordinator. I
- 10:29Speaker 2: know Andy Reid makes the play calls. But I can't
- 10:34Speaker 2: pronounce his last name. Biennium? Biennium. Biennium. My bad. That's
- 10:39Speaker 2: on me. He's awesome. He's awesome when he's in Kansas City.
- 10:44Speaker 2: And with that offense. So I'm putting them up there,
- 10:46Speaker 2: and I don't really care what y'all think. Number three.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I'm fine with that. Lamar Jackson. All right.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I know somebody that's still left now that I've seen
- 10:54Speaker 3: number three, and we might have an issue.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I don't know your top two. I don't know your
- 11:01Speaker 2: top two, but okay. It'll be fun. It'll be fun
- 11:05Speaker 2: to find out. Go ahead. Can't lose to the Cardinals.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I'm just saying. Oh, I don't care about Herbert. He
- 11:09Speaker 2: ain't in the top ten. All right. Not right now.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Maybe I did forget about it, but I did put
- 11:13Speaker 2: this together right before the show. We gave you until
- 11:19Speaker 2: the 9 o'clock hour. Yeah, I mean. Well, I was
- 11:21Speaker 2: doing a radio show until then. Lamar Jackson, 17 to 25,
- 11:23Speaker 2: 324 yards, one touchdown, seven rush attempts for 40 yards,
- 11:26Speaker 2: and another tutter, 124.2 QBR. Yeah, you look pretty good.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Look great. Ravens are St. Scott. You got a handful
- 11:37Speaker 2: this week and it helps when Derrick Henry is doing
- 11:40Speaker 2: Derrick Henry type things and scoring a ton of touchdowns.
- 11:43Speaker 2: But he looked the part throwing it, running it. It
- 11:45Speaker 2: looks to be that the Ravens are back after week one.
- 11:48Speaker 2: And I know we can have a overreaction all the
- 11:50Speaker 2: time because that's what we love to do. We've only
- 11:53Speaker 2: seen one week of games, but it certainly looks like
- 11:55Speaker 2: he is back. And when he is fully healthy, he
- 11:57Speaker 2: is a two time MVP for a reason. And like
- 12:00Speaker 2: Jake said, he is in his 30th year, but he's
- 12:02Speaker 2: only 29 years old. Crazy.
- 12:04Speaker 4: I think I'm going to like the next one.
- 12:05Speaker 2: I think you might like it. Number two. Oh, I
- 12:11Speaker 2: thought he was going to be one. Caleb Williams.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I thought he was going to be your number one.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Well, the other guy that is going to be one
- 12:20Speaker 2: has got a little bit more notches on the belt.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Yeah. And did it against a better defense.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Caleb Williams. What we think is a better defense. What
- 12:26Speaker 2: we think. What we think. Caleb Williams. Me thinks. Me
- 12:29Speaker 2: thinks it's a better defense. Me thinks Caleb Williams is
- 12:32Speaker 2: the second best quarterback in the NFL after week one.
- 12:34Speaker 3: God, that jump man throw that he made.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I mean, he does some silly things with his throws.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Incredibly athletic. I don't think he's painting his fingernails.
- 12:44Speaker 4: No, he's not.
- 12:45Speaker 2: He's got a mustache right now, too.
- 12:46Speaker 3: He's got an awesome mustache.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Was aura farming at the Cubs game.
- 12:50Speaker 2: He was. No painted fingernails, which the NFL should be
- 12:55Speaker 2: real nervous. That moves him up a spot at least once.
- 12:57Speaker 2: That moves him up a spot for sure. Also, throwing
- 13:01Speaker 2: for 269 yards, two touchdowns, 65 yards rushing. Yeah. 124.1 QBR.
- 13:07Speaker 2: That moves them up. Just absolutely electric.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Dominates. Scored 59 points. Second highest point total on week
- 13:13Speaker 2: one in NFL history.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Their coach, Ben Johnson, did say that they want to
- 13:18Speaker 3: set the scoring record this year, and they tried hard
- 13:21Speaker 3: in the first week.
- 13:22Speaker 2: God, I'm so excited to see after I give you
- 13:24Speaker 2: number one who I forgot.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Tyler Shuck, number one.
- 13:28Speaker 3: If Tyler Shuck's not number one on this list and
- 13:30Speaker 3: you didn't put Tyler Shuck in the top ten after
- 13:32Speaker 3: throwing for 410 yards, this list is.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I didn't say this was the top ten in one
- 13:39Speaker 2: half of week one. No, no, no.
- 13:41Speaker 3: This list, if Tyler Shuck is not number one on
- 13:44Speaker 3: this list, this list is Nolan Boyd.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Can I tell you that there is one person.
- 13:48Speaker 3: If you put Matthew Stafford, who didn't complete a pass
- 13:54Speaker 3: of note in Australia... On this list, and Tyler Shuck's
- 13:57Speaker 3: not on this list.
- 13:58Speaker 2: There's one quarterback on this whole list that lost in
- 14:03Speaker 2: week one, and he's the reigning NFL MVP. That is
- 14:07Speaker 2: why Tyler Shuck did not make this list this week. Sorry.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Don't play that bad in the first half. You played
- 14:12Speaker 2: great in the first, but terrible. Or second, but terrible
- 14:15Speaker 2: in the first. Number one. Is this a surprise to anybody?
- 14:19Speaker 5: It shouldn't be.
- 14:20Speaker 2: He was awesome. Josh Allen, 20 of 29, 334 yards.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Two tutters, six rush attempts, 23 yards. Another two touchdowns
- 14:29Speaker 2: running the ball. 130.5 passer rating. The guy was Superman.
- 14:33Speaker 2: The guy is Superman. And I get it. No Super Bowls.
- 14:36Speaker 2: You got to win it all. I don't care. This
- 14:38Speaker 2: is week one. Like, the guy is a force of
- 14:41Speaker 2: nature on the football field. And sure, maybe he can't
- 14:43Speaker 2: get it done when it matters the most in the playoffs.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:48Speaker 2: He gets it done most of the times. So it's
- 14:51Speaker 2: best quarterback in the NFL right now, Josh Allen.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Most yards in the NFL right now, Tyler Shuck.
- 14:59Speaker 2: 0-1. I'm not pandering to Saints fans on my top
- 15:07Speaker 2: ten list.
- 15:08Speaker 3: This isn't a top ten teams ranking. It's a quarterback ranking.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Okay, so who had a better quarterback performance?
- 15:15Speaker 3: Tyler Shuck had a better performance than Patrick Mahomes and
- 15:18Speaker 3: Matthew Stafford.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Okay, so you're going to put Tyler Shuck ahead of
- 15:21Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford? It's not about what they've
- 15:23Speaker 2: done in the past. Who are you taking out? I'm
- 15:26Speaker 2: taking out Matthew Stafford.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Matthew Stafford did not look good at all.
- 15:30Speaker 2: He didn't have a touchdown. Like, did not have a touchdown.
- 15:33Speaker 3: This is not what have you done for me in
- 15:35Speaker 3: the past. It's what have you done for me right now.
- 15:38Speaker 3: This is the current Matt Flynn top ten quarterback rankings.
- 15:42Speaker 3: That's why Justin Herbert's not on there.
- 15:44Speaker 2: He was awful. I'm over him.
- 15:48Speaker 3: You just said you can't lose to the Cardinals. That's
- 15:50Speaker 3: why Herbert's not on here. And I agree wholeheartedly.
- 15:54Speaker 2: You also said you can't blame him for them traveling
- 15:58Speaker 2: 24 hours before to go to Australia yet.
- 16:00Speaker 3: You play i said it was dumb he said you
- 16:02Speaker 3: can't blame him i said it was dumb but.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Also like he's the only quarterback on this list to
- 16:06Speaker 5: throw for less than 180 no touchdowns had a turnover nfl.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Mvp people okay in 2025 but yeah this.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Is tyler shuck beat five bad teams last year this.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Is wow now this is now you're doubling down.
- 16:21Speaker 2: On this yeah because y'all are coming at me.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Bro wow No other quarterback do it for 400 yards.
- 16:30Speaker 3: He had a higher quarterback rating than Patrick Mahomes and
- 16:33Speaker 3: Matthew Stafford, and it was right about where Jared Goffs was.
- 16:36Speaker 2: You're right. Chuck's better than Mahomes.
- 16:38Speaker 4: There's someone else missing on this list.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Who?
- 16:42Speaker 4: Oh, Joey B.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Oh.
- 16:46Speaker 2: I mean, their defense scored most of the points.
- 16:49Speaker 5: I understand. We talked about it a little bit before
- 16:51Speaker 5: the show. I get why Burrow's not on there. He
- 16:52Speaker 5: had a fishing game, but I don't know.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Wow, these lists are very hard to make.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Is that not the same, like, Matthew Stafford?
- 17:01Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 17:01Speaker 5: I don't think Stafford should be on it.
- 17:02Speaker 2: All right. We'll do Jake's top ten fullbacks tomorrow. Yeah!
- 17:08Speaker 3: There's 16 of them, so don't tent me with a
- 17:10Speaker 3: good time.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Guess what, though? Can you just do the top 16?
- 17:14Speaker 2: Just all of them. Hell, yeah. Just all of them.
- 17:17Speaker 2: We're going to rank all the fullbacks. It won't take long.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Isn't there a fullback that's 300 pounds? Yeah. That's a
- 17:25Speaker 2: great card. Giants. A good 300 pounds. Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 5: He looked slimmer the other night.
- 17:32Speaker 2: The Giants have a good tailor.
- 17:34Speaker 5: I was looking at him and I was like, I
- 17:35Speaker 5: don't know if he's as big as he used to be.
- 17:39Speaker 3: There's a couple of NFL teams that whoever their tailor is,
- 17:43Speaker 3: they need to pay them more.
- 17:44Speaker 2: The Ravens.
- 17:45Speaker 3: He's played for both the Ravens and the Giants.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Maybe top two.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Our jerseys used to have like a little bagginess to them.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I was like, why don't they fit like those?
- 17:56Speaker 2: And it was like every player.
- 17:58Speaker 3: I remember LT's jersey had like, it was baggy at
- 18:01Speaker 3: the bottom. I'm like, that's like one of the greatest
- 18:02Speaker 3: running backs of all time. Can we get him a tailor?
- 18:05Speaker 3: Can we get a seamstress to maybe tighten that up
- 18:07Speaker 3: a bit? No, that costs too much money for the
- 18:10Speaker 3: old Bush League bolts.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Well, guess what?
- 18:12Speaker 6: Great list with the exception of Matt.
- 18:14Speaker 2: We are going to post this online. And guess what?
- 18:16Speaker 2: Come at me, bro. Come at me. Don't tag me.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Bring it on. Bring it on. Matthew Stafford's not very good. Blah, blah, blah.
- 18:24Speaker 4: I didn't say he wasn't good.
- 18:25Speaker 6: I'm saying for this week, he should not be.
- 18:28Speaker 2: On the list. Week one. It says week one. After
- 18:32Speaker 2: week one.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Not last season. The listening audience cannot see what you
- 18:39Speaker 6: just pointed out.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I want to point with my finger. I got the
- 18:44Speaker 2: pointy finger in my backpack. Anyways.
- 18:47Speaker 4: We spend too much time on this.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, let's cut it. Golly. That was a rude way
- 18:52Speaker 2: to end it.
- 18:53Speaker 4: We can come back on the next side. I'm not
- 18:56Speaker 4: trying to get another text.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I got a text. Another good one.

- 20:48Speaker 2: Oh.

- 21:34Speaker 4: I got a text. This list might be Matt's low
- 21:38Speaker 4: point on the show.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Ah.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Get out of here. You suck.
- 21:42Speaker 5: I did appreciate your comment in the chat.
- 21:47Speaker 1: What?
- 21:47Speaker 5: Cracked me up. All caps, of course. I love shock.
- 21:50Speaker 5: Immediately responds, I buck.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I buck. That's right. Not hard enough. I buck for Shaq.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Seems like you buck more for Matthew Stafford.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Ooh, reigning MVP. Sorry. Ten lists.
- 22:05Speaker 4: This week.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Winning matters. I need you to operatively define. It does
- 22:10Speaker 2: say this. You said it's after week one on your headline.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I told you before I gave the list how I
- 22:17Speaker 2: was doing it, and I said you might not like it.
- 22:20Speaker 2: And it might not be fair. I might have one
- 22:22Speaker 2: reasoning for one person, and that same reasoning doesn't apply
- 22:25Speaker 2: to another person because you've earned the benefit of the
- 22:27Speaker 2: doubt for me.
- 22:28Speaker 4: You know what? Fair enough. You did say that disclaimer.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I did disclaim it.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Yeah, but you need to fix your graphic then.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Put that disclaimer at the bottom?
- 22:39Speaker 3: That, and you need to take away after week one.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Because it makes us believe that it means week one.
- 22:45Speaker 2: It is a list that I gave after week one.
- 22:49Speaker 2: A trash one.
- 22:50Speaker 5: But it's not based on we won.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Why is he so mad we lost? Winning matters. There's
- 22:55Speaker 2: only one quarterback on the list that lost, and it's
- 22:57Speaker 2: the reigning NFL MVP. He gets the benefit of the doubt.
- 23:00Speaker 2: If Shuck would have won it last week and had
- 23:03Speaker 2: a bad game, or last year and had a bad
- 23:05Speaker 2: game this week, he'd be on the list.
- 23:08Speaker 3: I can't really feel my eye roll.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Tyler Shuck should have won MVP last year, I guess,
- 23:12Speaker 2: is the moral of the story. For the last five games,
- 23:15Speaker 2: for sure.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Despite playing those bad teams.
- 23:20Speaker 2: What did I say wrong? Hey, Shuck. What did I
- 23:24Speaker 2: say wrong? Shuck, I got your back, bro. Me too, buddy.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I'm bucked. He doesn't buck. I'm bucked. Oh, man. I
- 23:33Speaker 2: love Tyler Shuck. I think he's awesome. I saved his life.
- 23:36Speaker 2: You did. You did do that. I did save his life.
- 23:39Speaker 2: That was a big water moccasin. I was getting ready
- 23:46Speaker 2: to tackle him away from it, too, if I had to.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Would you have been willing to pick up the snake,
- 23:51Speaker 5: bare hand, throw it?
- 23:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Yeah, probably so. Okay. It was long enough to where
- 23:59Speaker 2: you could grab the tail and give it a good.
- 24:02Speaker 2: You could also give it a good whip, too, and
- 24:03Speaker 2: probably pop the head off. At least crack it.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I'm asking this in, like, a serious way. So Umami
- 24:13Speaker 3: Allen getting surf papers in the parking lot, you try
- 24:16Speaker 3: to embarrass him a little bit. And this was something
- 24:19Speaker 3: from the summertime that we talked about, and everybody kind
- 24:23Speaker 3: of knew that it was a situation. But you do
- 24:24Speaker 3: it this week during this game, and you do it
- 24:27Speaker 3: at the LSU facility. Isn't that adding fuel to the
- 24:32Speaker 3: fire for the nation?
- 24:33Speaker 2: It's making Lane's job really easy. Making Lane's job really easy, right?
- 24:40Speaker 3: Like, I travel with the team, but I, like, Like,
- 24:42Speaker 3: I'm in the shadows. Like, I'm a very small part
- 24:44Speaker 3: of the travel contingency there. But I almost want to
- 24:48Speaker 3: be like, hey, can I stand up and get on
- 24:50Speaker 3: this little speaker on the airplane and just give the.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Boys a good word?
- 24:54Speaker 3: Like, that's how mad, like, little petty things like this
- 24:59Speaker 3: have started, like, to make me angry. And I'm like, man,
- 25:03Speaker 3: I can't wait for this game. I'm not even playing
- 25:05Speaker 3: in it. Now, I didn't redshirt, so if you need
- 25:09Speaker 3: me on a kickoff, I don't know where we fall
- 25:11Speaker 3: on that.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. but you got it. I think they're just adding
- 25:14Speaker 2: fuel to the fire.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Like, I think they think what they're doing is like,
- 25:18Speaker 3: let's go embarrass them. Let's go do this. This is
- 25:20Speaker 3: going to make them look even worse. They're going to
- 25:22Speaker 3: look even more like the villain. They don't give a damn.
- 25:25Speaker 3: That's the thing that y'all don't understand. We don't, they don't,
- 25:29Speaker 3: nobody in this city or this state cares that you
- 25:32Speaker 3: think that that is something that is embraced because Louisiana
- 25:37Speaker 3: doesn't care about Mississippi.
- 25:39Speaker 2: They don't care about Arkansas. They don't care about Arkansas.
- 25:41Speaker 2: They don't really care about Texas. Sorry, we love y'all.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Y'all are now us. They don't.
- 25:45Speaker 3: They just do not care about other places. Louisiana cares
- 25:49Speaker 3: about Louisiana. That's how it's always been. That's how it's
- 25:52Speaker 3: always going to be. So for you to think, oh,
- 25:55Speaker 3: we're going to get the rest of the country against them.
- 25:57Speaker 2: We don't care. Cool. Do it.
- 26:01Speaker 3: It's like Louisiana people are going to stick together. They're
- 26:05Speaker 3: going to do what's best for Louisiana. They're going to
- 26:07Speaker 3: celebrate Louisiana. And look, there's other states that are prideful.
- 26:10Speaker 3: I get that. But this one, and I've lived in
- 26:12Speaker 3: a lot of different states, it's as prideful as any.
- 26:15Speaker 3: And y'all have lived in Texas too. That's a very
- 26:17Speaker 3: prideful state as well. But I'm saying Louisiana does not
- 26:20Speaker 3: care about what the rest of the country thinks about them.
- 26:24Speaker 3: LSU does not care. LSU is going to care about
- 26:27Speaker 3: those three letters and those two colors. And so you
- 26:30Speaker 3: think this is working for you when I think it's
- 26:33Speaker 3: going to work against you, like to get ready for
- 26:35Speaker 3: the game.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Once the ball is kicked, all that goes out the window.
- 26:37Speaker 3: But I don't know that I would make that person–
- 26:41Speaker 3: even more ready to play in this game than he
- 26:43Speaker 3: already is.
- 26:45Speaker 2: No, I mean, this does nothing. I mean, it's just,
- 26:49Speaker 2: like I said, it makes Lane's job easier. And then
- 26:52Speaker 2: after I said it, I was like, well, there's probably
- 26:54Speaker 2: no way to motivate people even more. Like, they're probably
- 26:57Speaker 2: already as motivated as a 18 to 23-year-old kid. For
- 27:00Speaker 2: Ole Miss, it's 18 to 26. Yeah. As motivated as
- 27:07Speaker 2: they can get, they're already there, right? Like, this doesn't–
- 27:10Speaker 2: this is just– this is just.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Yeah, this one feels like an individual situation if I
- 27:15Speaker 3: was Umami Ellen. Like, the place that I left, okay,
- 27:18Speaker 3: this is what they want to do. I've already shown
- 27:21Speaker 3: that I'm a really good football player this year, and
- 27:24Speaker 3: you're going to get the best version of me. Like,
- 27:26Speaker 3: whatever that thing that we always talk about to get
- 27:28Speaker 3: ready for the big game, that extra film study, that
- 27:31Speaker 3: extra walkthrough, that extra– Hey, let's go over what their
- 27:35Speaker 3: tackle likes to do when I bull rush, when I
- 27:38Speaker 3: go up and under. All those type of things that
- 27:39Speaker 3: you act like you're doing when you're playing Louisiana Tech,
- 27:41Speaker 3: but you really don't.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Those things are going to be done this week to
- 27:45Speaker 2: get ready for Ole Miss. Yeah, I can't wait. Like
- 27:48Speaker 2: we talked about yesterday, Saturday is going to be an
- 27:53Speaker 2: absolute show. It is going to be from the moment
- 27:58Speaker 2: you wake up in the morning, whether you are in Oxford,
- 28:01Speaker 2: whether you are at home, watching game day, the feels,
- 28:07Speaker 2: whatever environment you're in, it's going to be electric getting
- 28:10Speaker 2: ready for this game. And then once the show starts,
- 28:13Speaker 2: once the game, once the ball is kicked off, once
- 28:15Speaker 2: that boot is introduced to that ball, it is going
- 28:19Speaker 2: to be an absolute show. Because you know, this isn't
- 28:20Speaker 2: going to be a standard game. Something's going to happen.
- 28:24Speaker 2: There is going to be videos that you're going to
- 28:26Speaker 2: see on Twitter coming from tailgating. Some videos are going
- 28:30Speaker 2: to be fun. Some videos are going to be funny.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Some videos are going to be like, why did they
- 28:33Speaker 2: do that? Those people are idiots. Those people are drunk.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And then the game is going to start and something
- 28:36Speaker 2: crazy is going to happen. And it's going to be
- 28:38Speaker 2: Saturday is going to be absolutely electric. I can't wait
- 28:40Speaker 2: for it. We are, let's see, one, two, three days away.
- 28:45Speaker 2: It's going to be awesome. And these kids don't need
- 28:48Speaker 2: any more motivation. Serving them court papers in the parking
- 28:51Speaker 2: lot of football ops building, probably disguised as somebody seeking
- 28:55Speaker 2: an autograph and then getting served as papers. You're a loser.
- 28:59Speaker 2: You're an absolute loser. Ole Miss, you're a loser. You're
- 29:02Speaker 2: irrelevant in the overall scheme of things. You're finally good. Congratulations.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Pat on the back. You're not going to be good
- 29:08Speaker 2: for long. You'll be irrelevant again, and LSU will be here.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Period.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Jake, you were talking about, like, Ole Miss, like, kind
- 29:19Speaker 5: of not knowing how to troll. They posted yesterday, remember
- 29:23Speaker 5: what happened the last time the Tigers came to Oxford?
- 29:26Speaker 5: And it was the game from a year ago, scoring
- 29:28Speaker 5: a touchdown. It pans to the booth and Charlie Weiss Jr.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Is celebrating.
- 29:32Speaker 5: I'm like, hey, guys, where are those guys at right now?
- 29:35Speaker 5: That's our team. That's not your team anymore. It's wild
- 29:39Speaker 5: to me.
- 29:42Speaker 2: In a couple years, nobody's going to care about this game.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Yeah. You know what else is kind of annoying?
- 29:47Speaker 6: Okay, this is such a dumb thing to be annoyed by,
- 29:49Speaker 6: but like Pete Golding in a press conference the other day,
- 29:52Speaker 6: he was saying how he's not going to lead the
- 29:55Speaker 6: team down whatever walk they do. And I just feel
- 29:58Speaker 6: like he's being like, guys, I'm not like Lane.
- 30:01Speaker 4: I'm so different from Lane. I'm not like the other girls. Yeah,
- 30:04Speaker 4: he's like, it has to be about the team and
- 30:06Speaker 4: this and that.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I'm not like the other girls.
- 30:07Speaker 6: And it's because Lane's Tiger Walk has been getting so
- 30:11Speaker 6: much attention because of Sam Nader.
- 30:13Speaker 4: If Sam was on that thing.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Hell, yeah.
- 30:17Speaker 4: His granddaughter, Brooks.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Fellas, we're going to lead you down the hill. We're
- 30:21Speaker 2: going to take a left once we get to the
- 30:23Speaker 2: locker room.
- 30:23Speaker 4: It's a great Sam.
- 30:25Speaker 6: But it just was annoying. I just think that. Pete,
- 30:29Speaker 6: I don't have an issue with Pete himself.
- 30:31Speaker 2: I like Pete.
- 30:32Speaker 4: And I like Pete. Lane and him.
- 30:34Speaker 6: Still are friends and all of that. But all of
- 30:37Speaker 6: it is just so annoying with the, I'm not Lane.
- 30:40Speaker 6: I'm the hero here.
- 30:41Speaker 4: He's the villain. Look at me. Like, I don't know.
- 30:44Speaker 4: It's just, it's pick me.
- 30:45Speaker 5: I'll never leave you for the hotter girl.
- 30:47Speaker 2: It's like, I don't know if.
- 30:48Speaker 5: The hotter girl wants you yet though, Pete.
- 30:50Speaker 2: They don't really have any like celebs, sort of celebs
- 30:55Speaker 2: that really like all this, right? Do they?
- 30:57Speaker 4: I don't think so. Not that I know of.
- 30:59Speaker 2: There's a comedian at T-Bob brought in that one time. Oh,
- 31:02Speaker 2: that girl.
- 31:03Speaker 4: We did talk about her.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Yeah, there was somebody else.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Speaking of lack of famous alums, who's the guest picker
- 31:09Speaker 5: for Ole Miss?
- 31:10Speaker 2: Do we know? No idea.
- 31:12Speaker 5: It's a tough choice.
- 31:13Speaker 2: It's got to be Eli, right? He's probably done it. Probably, though.
- 31:17Speaker 5: But, like, that's it.
- 31:19Speaker 2: But it's Eli. Yeah. Katy Perry was Ole Miss that
- 31:22Speaker 2: one time.
- 31:23Speaker 5: Which, like, yeah, is she even?
- 31:25Speaker 2: Super normal. All right. We got to take a break.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:30Speaker 2: We can, I'll read it. And then do we want
- 31:32Speaker 2: to tease it?
- 31:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:35Speaker 4: So read it.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:37Speaker 4: These players are paid.
- 31:38Speaker 6: They have agents. They also need to understand what signing
- 31:41Speaker 6: a contract means. LSU fan here, but signing a contract
- 31:43Speaker 6: binds you to the terms, pay what you.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Owe and move on. I don't think any of us
- 31:46Speaker 4: are like saying that.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 2: We're not saying anything about that. Three days before the game. Right.
- 31:52Speaker 3: And look, not every contract is less than teasing. Cause
- 31:55Speaker 3: it's going to spend no time on this. Um, I
- 31:58Speaker 3: understand what you're saying, but also, like, I've signed plenty
- 32:00Speaker 3: of contracts in the NFL where I got released and
- 32:02Speaker 3: didn't get ish. Like, not every contract is written the same.
- 32:05Speaker 3: So we don't know the exact language of it. And
- 32:08Speaker 3: I know we know some of it, but we don't
- 32:09Speaker 3: know the exact language of it. And I'm not even
- 32:11Speaker 3: saying that they don't have a case. They might have
- 32:14Speaker 3: a case. It's the timing of it, when they did it,
- 32:16Speaker 3: how petty they've been in doing this whole process. On
- 32:18Speaker 3: that note, we'll take a break. More OTB when we
- 32:20Speaker 3: come back.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Off the bench.

- 34:27Speaker 3: come hang out with us. Or you can just come
- 34:30Speaker 3: to Rouse's and get your spread for your watch party
- 34:33Speaker 3: that you're probably having for LSU and Ole Miss. are
- 34:36Speaker 3: for the Saints and Ravens coming up this weekend.
- 34:39Speaker 2: So go in.
- 34:39Speaker 3: It's convenient. It's already ready. Pre-made tailgating packages ready to go.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Pick it up. Check out.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Go check out your local Rouse's. Find your local Rouse's
- 34:47Speaker 3: at rouses.com. Come chat with us, but don't chat with
- 34:52Speaker 3: us when we're on air because then we come off
- 34:55Speaker 3: as rude, I think.
- 34:55Speaker 2: That's happened a couple times. I always try to, like,
- 34:58Speaker 2: point to the headphones. We can't talk back right now.
- 35:03Speaker 4: It surprises me how many people... Oh, it.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Happens every time we're on a remote. Yeah. Because even
- 35:07Speaker 2: at commercial, we're talking to each other, right?
- 35:09Speaker 4: Yeah, but y'all have y'all's headsets off.
- 35:11Speaker 2: It happens. It's not because we're being rude. We'll just...
- 35:15Speaker 2: We just can't talk. Yeah, we'd love to talk. At break, though.
- 35:17Speaker 2: We're chatterboxes. Bro-dap. Side hug. Whatever. Cali-dap. Do it all. Rouses.
- 35:28Speaker 2: 7 to 10 a.m. Burbank and Lee. Come hang out.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Get your mind high. Glug, glug.
- 35:37Speaker 3: I'm just glad you didn't have Florida colors up there again.
- 35:39Speaker 2: That's all I had.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Like you did last time. Have y'all looked at the slate,
- 35:47Speaker 3: by the way, for college football?
- 35:49Speaker 2: It's bad. Again?
- 35:51Speaker 3: It is bad, bad. Ranked matchups. I'm going to give
- 35:54Speaker 3: you all the ranked matchups.
- 35:55Speaker 2: You ready?
- 35:56Speaker 3: Number 22, Houston, at number 13, Texas Tech. Number 16, SMU,
- 36:02Speaker 3: at number 23, Louisville.
- 36:10Speaker 2: That's it.
- 36:11Speaker 4: That's it?
- 36:12Speaker 3: Number seven LSU, number eight Ole Miss. So not only
- 36:17Speaker 3: is it undoubtedly the game of the week, it's the
- 36:22Speaker 3: game of the week by a lot.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:24Speaker 3: There's going to be a lot of eyeballs that are
- 36:26Speaker 3: on that one that just don't have anything else to watch.
- 36:29Speaker 5: Week one was pretty weak, too.
- 36:30Speaker 2: I'm sure Notre Dame is playing somewhat good.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Wait, who's Notre Dame playing?
- 36:35Speaker 2: That's a joke.
- 36:36Speaker 5: We had a good slate last week, though, right?
- 36:38Speaker 2: So I was looking at it. I saw a post
- 36:40Speaker 2: on that note.
- 36:40Speaker 4: I didn't like last week.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I said, there's no way this is the Big Ten
- 36:42Speaker 2: schedule this week. Oregon versus Portland State. Ohio Savers, Kent State.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Penn Savers, Buffalo. Minnesota, Akron. Wisconsin, Eastern Michigan. Illinois, Southern Illinois. Indiana,
- 36:54Speaker 2: Western Kentucky. Iowa, Northern Iowa. And the list goes on.
- 36:58Speaker 2: There's the Big Ten plays nobody. Week.
- 37:08Speaker 3: That's not exactly the who's who on the slate there.
- 37:11Speaker 2: No, no.
- 37:12Speaker 3: You know what? And Notre Dame does this every year. Like,
- 37:14Speaker 3: they'll play a Michigan State, and they're like, we're playing
- 37:15Speaker 3: a Big Ten team. Bro, you're playing Michigan State and Purdue.
- 37:19Speaker 5: You're playing two teams that ended winning records in years.
- 37:22Speaker 2: It's not our fault they ended winning records in two decades.
- 37:25Speaker 5: However, though.
- 37:26Speaker 2: I guess the Big Noon kickoff would be the only
- 37:29Speaker 2: Big Ten matchup, which would be Rutgers-USC. I guess that's the.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Rutgers and USC. I guess that's the Big Noon matchup. No,
- 37:39Speaker 2: that's a 230. Maybe UCLA-Purdue?
- 37:42Speaker 3: I actually think, and I could be totally off on this,
- 37:46Speaker 3: I think the big noon kick is actually Arizona State
- 37:48Speaker 3: and Kansas from Wembley in London.
- 37:52Speaker 2: They're playing in London this week. I don't know if
- 37:53Speaker 2: y'all knew that.
- 37:55Speaker 3: I think big noon kick is there at that game.
- 37:57Speaker 3: So 1-1 Arizona State, who got beat by three touchdowns
- 38:01Speaker 3: against Texas A & M, and Kansas, who got beat
- 38:03Speaker 3: by two touchdowns against Missouri?
- 38:05Speaker 2: Yeah. That's the big noon kick, and it's going to
- 38:07Speaker 2: be in London. Wait, I thought Big Noon Kick was
- 38:11Speaker 2: Big Ten exclusive. It's Big 12, too. Is it? All right.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Learned something today. I thought it even had the Big
- 38:21Speaker 2: Ten logo in there, the Noon Kickoff logo. It's either
- 38:25Speaker 2: Big 12 or Big Ten. Okay. Learned something today. I'm excited.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Got to learn something every day if you want to
- 38:32Speaker 2: get better.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Now, the actual Noon game on Fox is Ohio State
- 38:36Speaker 3: hosting Kent State.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Barn Burner. Watch out. That's going to be a good one.
- 38:43Speaker 5: It's a good one.
- 38:43Speaker 2: That's going to be a good one.
- 38:44Speaker 3: I mean, I know you just talked about this, but
- 38:47Speaker 3: the opponents in the Big Ten this weekend, Portland State,
- 38:50Speaker 3: Kent State, Buffalo, Akron, Eastern Michigan, Southern Illinois, UTEP, Western Kentucky,
- 38:57Speaker 3: Northern Iowa, North Dakota, Eastern Washington, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Colorado,
- 39:06Speaker 3: Virginia Tech.
- 39:08Speaker 2: I guess that's the best game, right? Virginia Tech, Maryland?
- 39:12Speaker 2: Both 2-0, probably. I don't know. Anyway, everything's going to suck,
- 39:17Speaker 2: but LSU Ole Miss, that's going to be awesome. It's
- 39:19Speaker 2: going to be absolute vibes. I can't wait. I'm so excited.
- 39:23Speaker 3: All right, let's uh, let's take a break. Uh, we'll
- 39:26Speaker 3: wrap it up with a little ask of the bench.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Certainly want to remind you about our friends over at
- 39:30Speaker 3: K to Z, K to Z blinds.com. K T O

- 39:42Speaker 2: And hit the button. Did you tell him I need
- 39:44Speaker 2: some motorized bonds here pretty soon?
- 39:45Speaker 3: Uh, they said you had a face for radio. I
- 39:47Speaker 3: don't know what that meant, but that's what they said. No, I'm,
- 39:50Speaker 3: That's why your face isn't showing on that advertisement.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Check your feed. All right.
- 39:55Speaker 3: KDC, kdcblinds.com. When we come back, let's do a little

- 41:55Speaker 1: All right.
- 41:57Speaker 3: That's the bench brought to you by Ice Cold Dos Equis.
- 42:00Speaker 2: There's a lot. Whoa.
- 42:05Speaker 3: That's the bench. Any good surfing in San Diego? Yeah,
- 42:07Speaker 3: Del Mar, where the surf meets the turf.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Surfboard. Ask the bench. Beyonce. Who has the worst take?
- 42:16Speaker 3: T-Bob defending The Last Jedi or Flynn leaving Chuck and
- 42:19Speaker 3: Bro off the list?
- 42:21Speaker 6: Leaving Chuck off the list but keeping Matthew Stafford on it.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Flynn, Flynn. Bad, bad take.
- 42:26Speaker 3: I've never seen all the other Star Wars.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what that is. Hashtag Ask the Bench.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Should there be any concern regarding dirty plays by Ole
- 42:35Speaker 3: Miss to– Purposefully injure LSU players as a former player.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Is that something that is ever addressed by the staff?
- 42:43Speaker 3: I mean, you try to hurt somebody on every play.
- 42:45Speaker 3: It's a violent game by nature. But if you're doing
- 42:47Speaker 3: stuff extracurricular, then it should get called. Typically does get called.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they enforce those pretty hard. I think you'd rather
- 42:55Speaker 2: win the game. Now you try to hurt somebody. It's
- 42:57Speaker 2: a violent sport. You try to hurt the person in
- 42:58Speaker 2: front of you every single play. You don't try to
- 43:00Speaker 2: do anything dirty. Right. Do they discuss it? Yeah, they
- 43:03Speaker 2: might discuss the pregame stuff on the field. Let's not
- 43:06Speaker 2: go to the 50. Let's not try to get a fight.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Let's not do this. Don't take the bait a lot
- 43:12Speaker 2: of times. A lot of times you'll get some smarter
- 43:15Speaker 2: guys that will try to bait you during the game
- 43:17Speaker 2: for you to get a penalty. Stay out of the pit.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Don't do anything dirty. Don't fight in pregame.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Hashtag ask the bench, did Jake remember to switch to
- 43:29Speaker 3: nookie mode?
- 43:30Speaker 2: I did nook.
- 43:30Speaker 3: I saw that message. Hashtag ask the bench, where does
- 43:34Speaker 3: Flynn's loyalty lie? Tough showing today.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Lies with how I see quarterbacks. I told y'all. I
- 43:43Speaker 2: gave you this.
- 43:44Speaker 5: Matt knows his truth.
- 43:45Speaker 2: I'm going to live it. I love Chuck. I told
- 43:49Speaker 2: y'all I buck. I didn't feel like it. Let me
- 43:54Speaker 2: tell you this. For those of y'all hating, I invested
- 43:58Speaker 2: $ 0 in Matthew Stafford playing cards this past year. I
- 44:01Speaker 2: invested a lot of dollars in Tyler Shuck playing cards.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Because Shuck was a rookie. Hashtag ask the bench. I
- 44:06Speaker 2: could have bought rookie cards from Stafford.
- 44:08Speaker 3: I heard two Ole Miss guys this morning say there
- 44:10Speaker 3: might be fights in the press box. Are you ready
- 44:13Speaker 3: to throw hands? I've got money on you, Bo. You
- 44:17Speaker 3: already know the answer to that. I don't like that
- 44:20Speaker 3: I thrive in confrontation, but I do enjoy it. And
- 44:23Speaker 3: if there becomes a situation where I've got to defend
- 44:27Speaker 3: the LSU Sports Radio Network, I got you, CB.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Don't worry. That's a very Ole Miss thing to say. Guys,
- 44:33Speaker 2: we might fight them. No, you're not. You're not going
- 44:34Speaker 2: to do anything.
- 44:35Speaker 3: I don't know who does their games. I don't know
- 44:37Speaker 3: who their former football player is up in the booth,
- 44:39Speaker 3: but I got him.
- 44:40Speaker 4: Bo Wallace.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Come on, Bo. Fighting for because somebody said something you
- 44:46Speaker 2: didn't like is dumb. Fighting to protect somebody. Yeah. If
- 44:50Speaker 2: I got to protect the voice of the LSU Tigers,
- 44:52Speaker 2: I'm going to do it. And the confrontation Jake is
- 44:54Speaker 2: probably mostly referring. It's like arguing and getting, you know,
- 44:58Speaker 2: you ain't going to say that around here.
- 44:59Speaker 5: That's right.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Would you say? It's very, in my opinion, very few
- 45:03Speaker 2: things actually throw hands for. And that is to protect
- 45:06Speaker 2: loved ones, to protect people. Not because you're butthurt. And
- 45:11Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of Ole Miss people butthurt.
- 45:13Speaker 2: So head on a swivel out there, LSU fans.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Better not get my face.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Hashtag ask the bench.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Do you go with a punch or a tackle first?
- 45:21Speaker 2: Depends on who it is.
- 45:23Speaker 3: If they got like a long reach on them, then
- 45:25Speaker 3: I think you go tackle first and then you throw hands.
- 45:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:28Speaker 3: And if, you know, you feel like you got the
- 45:29Speaker 3: reach on them, then you throw hands and then.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Maybe you tackle.
- 45:32Speaker 4: You set them up with the jab first.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Let's just all have fun. Shut up. It's a joy,
- 45:41Speaker 2: a football game between two good teams. Ask the bench.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Does anyone hate anyone else as much as Flynn hates Shuck?
- 45:48Speaker 2: You guys. You guys are silly. You're crazy, man. Tyler
- 45:54Speaker 2: Shug is the number one and number two best quarterback
- 45:57Speaker 2: in the NFL.
- 45:58Speaker 4: No one's saying that.
- 45:59Speaker 2: I'll update the chart.
- 46:00Speaker 4: Way to take it to the extreme that nobody said.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Everybody's taking it to the extreme.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Get scone in the press box to drop some Ole
- 46:07Speaker 3: Miss fools. Might as well invite Hunt while we're there.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Let's all have fun.
- 46:14Speaker 6: Oh.
- 46:18Speaker 4: Hunt versus Matt Flynn in a fight. Who are you taking?
- 46:22Speaker 2: I'm taking those cankles. Oh, my God, guys. I'm taking
- 46:24Speaker 2: those cankles. Did y'all not hear the Whataburger story?
- 46:27Speaker 3: It's true.
- 46:28Speaker 5: That Superman punched a guy. We saw the pic.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:30Speaker 3: I'm taking a laundry over a lot of people in
- 46:32Speaker 3: this building, too. I'm just going to let y'all know.
- 46:34Speaker 2: We love you. We thank you. We'll be back tomorrow.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Same time, same place. Go USA.
