- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back.
- 0:13Speaker 2: What's up?
- 0:14Speaker 1: Everybody is Jeff Mosher, Adam Kaplan back with Inside the
- 0:18Speaker 1: Birds and man, you know what, Adam. If people thought
- 0:20Speaker 1: it was gonna be kind of like a lazy weekend
- 0:23Speaker 1: for Eagles.
- 0:23Speaker 2: They were wrong. There was a lot of Eagles news.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Unfortunately for me, it all came out at a great moment.
- 0:31Speaker 1: For me, I had never before covered in everything I've
- 0:34Speaker 1: done in my sports writing career, I've covered Super Bowls
- 0:36Speaker 1: and NBA playoffs, NHL playoff everything and pretty much everything
- 0:40Speaker 1: even some low level sports. You'd never even heard of,
- 0:42Speaker 1: NASCAR steeplechase, horseshoes championships, every league, yes, yes, but never
- 0:48Speaker 1: an NCAA tournament game. So when it was here in Philly,
- 0:51Speaker 1: we had Philly Voice jumped to the chance to cover it.
- 0:53Speaker 1: And so, I mean, I didn't love the ten thirty
- 0:56Speaker 1: pm start for the Yukon gave Furman game, but it
- 0:58Speaker 1: was an awesome experience.
- 1:00Speaker 2: It was also their Sunday night.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But yeah, in the middle of the Friday night games,
- 1:04Speaker 1: I'm trying to get settled in and.
- 1:06Speaker 2: There's some Phillies news.
- 1:08Speaker 1: They announced their starting rotation and then bam, the Eagles
- 1:10Speaker 1: just start going crazy at safety.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yeah, funny, so real quick I had.
- 1:16Speaker 4: I'm sure everyone watching has had their own favorite sports
- 1:18Speaker 4: experience attending a game. I'm gonna say my number one.
- 1:24Speaker 4: If it's not number one, it's top three. I was
- 1:27Speaker 4: either in eighth or ninth grade the East Region here
- 1:29Speaker 4: in Philly, so I'm gonna date myself, but I don't care.
- 1:31Speaker 4: This is a great experience. This is my long term
- 1:33Speaker 4: memory is ridiculously great. I remember all of it. Third
- 1:35Speaker 4: level seats, third level at the spectrum.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I didn't care. We got in.
- 1:40Speaker 4: It was Maryland left Heaterzelle uh huh was a coach.
- 1:46Speaker 4: It was Albert King and Buck Williams. For those of
- 1:48Speaker 4: you who the fall Collge football in the NBA, it
- 1:53Speaker 4: was John Thompson and Georgetown before Patrick King was erk
- 1:55Speaker 4: Sleepy Floyd with Georgetown and then Sarah Q You. I
- 2:01Speaker 4: hated Jim Behem with it. I just couldn't stand him.
- 2:04Speaker 4: I hated him because he's a whiner.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Had a big fan myself.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Great coach that I don't I never had him, no doubt,
- 2:09Speaker 4: no doubt. But it was the The Louis and Bowie
- 2:13Speaker 4: Show was Roosevelt. Bowie was the center and Louis so
- 2:16Speaker 4: Or Louis Or who got drafted by the Knicks. And
- 2:19Speaker 4: then Iowa with Ronnie Leicster was the point guard, big
- 2:21Speaker 4: time point guard. Doctor Tom Davis, without looking I think
- 2:23Speaker 4: was the head coach. I was like in total of
- 2:26Speaker 4: because my favorite college sport growing up was not football,
- 2:29Speaker 4: was basketball. Same and I was just in total all
- 2:34Speaker 4: of it. I again, you're talking, you know it was
- 2:38Speaker 4: you know how long ago? That was five years ago?
- 2:41Speaker 2: Wait, you said Buck Williams, right, Buck Williams was on Maryland.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Yeah, Buck Wallings and Abert Did Buck wear the goggles
- 2:48Speaker 4: that he used to wear in the NBA?
- 2:49Speaker 3: Did Albert? Albert King was a small forward. Buck was
- 2:53Speaker 3: the power forward.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Yep, I don't. I don't remember much about them. I
- 2:57Speaker 4: named Bob Hanson, I think was the their guard for Iowa.
- 3:01Speaker 4: I know he would play in the NBA for maybe
- 3:03Speaker 4: for the Bulls. Just an average player, but it was
- 3:06Speaker 4: some of the and they were games are competitive. I
- 3:08Speaker 4: don't remember who won the region. I just remember being
- 3:10Speaker 4: in total awe of it. And it's one of the
- 3:13Speaker 4: few times and you have terrible seats, you don't care,
- 3:15Speaker 4: You're just in there.
- 3:16Speaker 3: And oh we had binoculars. We could see.
- 3:19Speaker 4: This is for those of you who are not from
- 3:20Speaker 4: Philly never went to the Spectrum. The Spectrum site lines
- 3:23Speaker 4: are not great, but I do remember that we did
- 3:28Speaker 4: have sort of near the center. And then the other
- 3:31Speaker 4: thing was and we learned this. Then I didn't know that,
- 3:34Speaker 4: and I would apply it to other times that I
- 3:36Speaker 4: would go to college basketball games. I didn't understand being
- 3:40Speaker 4: that young in high school or maybe eighth or ninth grade,
- 3:43Speaker 4: whatever it was, that the teams that lose, those kids
- 3:46Speaker 4: don't want to be there. They want out, Yeah, they
- 3:49Speaker 4: want out. So they saw their seats for value, for
- 3:52Speaker 4: face value. So we're less. So we moved up the
- 3:55Speaker 4: next day and I used the same story, the same
- 3:59Speaker 4: information when I went to the regional. This is the
- 4:02Speaker 4: big one in ninety one when Laterer hit the shot
- 4:05Speaker 4: against the Tate George hit the Yukon shot, but late
- 4:11Speaker 4: whatever whatever year was, yeah, yeah, it was and second
- 4:17Speaker 4: level at brendan Burn Arena. And then we moved down
- 4:20Speaker 4: because we knew the kids were going to sell the seats.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Then I went. The last one I went was at
- 4:25Speaker 3: what's what do they call it now? Is it? What's
- 4:27Speaker 3: it called the Infinity Center what they call it? Right, Okay?
- 4:32Speaker 3: So I went and we saw it was it was, Oh.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Jason Williams with Duke the point guard is on ESPN, sure,
- 4:39Speaker 4: and I think one of them. I went to Don
- 4:43Speaker 4: McLain to play for UCLA, was it? But he was
- 4:46Speaker 4: a ballhog? He wouldn't he was a score like he
- 4:48Speaker 4: was a big time scorer. Yeah, but he was like
- 4:50Speaker 4: number forty two. Uh that actually McClain might have been
- 4:53Speaker 4: at the one and uh I think that was the
- 4:55Speaker 4: one in Brendan Burn Arena. That was Yeah, yeah, early nineties.
- 4:58Speaker 4: But uh, it just I'm telling you, if you could
- 5:02Speaker 4: ever take your kids, if you want to take your
- 5:03Speaker 4: if your kids even like college basketball a little bit, yep,
- 5:07Speaker 4: if you'd ever get them folks to in a region
- 5:09Speaker 4: wherever you live.
- 5:10Speaker 3: It's the grace experience.
- 5:11Speaker 4: My older cousin took me, and I mean, you can't
- 5:16Speaker 4: you see how I'm speaking.
- 5:18Speaker 3: That experience was like it was like life changing.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Then.
- 5:21Speaker 3: I just couldn't believe I got to go to that thing.
- 5:23Speaker 3: It's really cool.
- 5:23Speaker 1: The coolest thing on Friday Night was, unfortunately for Philly
- 5:27Speaker 1: fans who really loved the upset part of the tournament.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Every game was chalk.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You know, UCLA be e CF and Tennessee one and
- 5:34Speaker 1: Virginia one Miami of Ohio by the way, for all
- 5:37Speaker 1: the hype going thirty one straight, they did not show up,
- 5:41Speaker 1: so it went shock. But I will say UCF, whose
- 5:44Speaker 1: coach was Johnny Dawkins, former seventy six er, they played
- 5:48Speaker 1: so tough and so physical and they whittled it down
- 5:50Speaker 1: from eleven to three with about under twenty seconds left.
- 5:54Speaker 1: They had a kid, Jordan Burke's go get hot, and
- 5:57Speaker 1: the entire Philly crowd. I don't know if it was
- 5:59Speaker 1: because they you Dawkins was the coach and he was
- 6:01Speaker 1: like a Philly guy you know, played sixers, or or
- 6:04Speaker 1: they just were rooting for the upset. But all the
- 6:07Speaker 1: whole Exfinity Mabile Arena was was you see f You
- 6:11Speaker 1: see really at that point, you.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Know Johnny Dawkins, if he didn't tear his acl against Milwaukee,
- 6:18Speaker 4: m h here's a guy. He looked like he was
- 6:21Speaker 4: going to be a star and he was never really
- 6:23Speaker 4: the same coming It's been a good story, it's been
- 6:25Speaker 4: a good coach. But yeah, so is it because I
- 6:28Speaker 4: know you're covering it, are you able to enjoy it
- 6:30Speaker 4: or you're just like, hey, I gotta get this done
- 6:32Speaker 4: by deadline.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And well, Friday night was tough because of all the
- 6:35Speaker 1: things that we're about to talk about with the Eagles.
- 6:37Speaker 1: So by the time I was able to redirect my phote,
- 6:39Speaker 1: I will say so the first two games is when
- 6:41Speaker 1: all that stuff happened. So I didn't really pay attention
- 6:44Speaker 1: as much as I wanted to to the Virginia I
- 6:47Speaker 1: forget who Virginia played, and then Tennessee. It was Virginia
- 6:49Speaker 1: Wright State Tennessee Miami of Ohio, I believe or I
- 6:53Speaker 1: have that reverse. So I didn't get a chance to
- 6:55Speaker 1: watch that as much, but I did get you know,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I got into UCF versus U c l A. By
- 6:59Speaker 1: the way, Mick cronin the U c l A coach,
- 7:02Speaker 1: he was a true I already knew he was a character.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I know him. I know we're all out.
- 7:06Speaker 1: But yeah, he had Dallas andros stakes delivered to his
- 7:08Speaker 1: entire love that and then afterwards he wanted to go
- 7:11Speaker 1: to Joe.
- 7:11Speaker 2: So that was a fun game to really get it.
- 7:13Speaker 3: He said that the press conference. I'm like, oh my,
- 7:15Speaker 3: all right, so who told him?
- 7:17Speaker 2: Right right?
- 7:18Speaker 1: He said Dick Girardi did, oh yeah, yeah, who else?
- 7:22Speaker 2: Who else.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Or Mike car and I don't know, right right, and
- 7:26Speaker 1: then Yukon Furman was was annoyingly close for a while,
- 7:29Speaker 1: but then Yukon finally pulled away. But you cons with
- 7:31Speaker 1: that one of their they were that they were in
- 7:33Speaker 1: that game without one of their best, two of their
- 7:35Speaker 1: one of their best players, and two overall players, so
- 7:37Speaker 1: it was a little bit difficult for them, but it
- 7:39Speaker 1: was a great experience. I love seeing the arena just
- 7:42Speaker 1: come alive, rocking, like, yeah, it was really fun.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I'm glad I did it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so so, like I said in the middle of
- 7:49Speaker 1: the middle of game too, I think it was when
- 7:51Speaker 1: it is when all the Eagles news came down. Now,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I'm not I don't think either of you or I
- 7:55Speaker 1: are surprised. In fact, we may have discussed this in
- 7:58Speaker 1: a podcast that Cidney Brown would be a perfect trade candidate.
- 8:01Speaker 1: He just doesn't fit the defense. It's going into the
- 8:03Speaker 1: last year of his contract. The Falcons must love former
- 8:06Speaker 1: Eagles because now they have him and Johan Dotson. I thought,
- 8:10Speaker 1: maybe Adam, that this would be a trade that was
- 8:12Speaker 1: consummated coming out of camp when you're trying to fill
- 8:15Speaker 1: holes and you're trying to get rid of players. But
- 8:17Speaker 1: you know what, if you have a taker, you got
- 8:19Speaker 1: a take her, you go for it. And so they
- 8:21Speaker 1: don't get much. They get like two swaps on day three.
- 8:25Speaker 1: But you weren't going to get much for Sidney Brown anyway.
- 8:28Speaker 1: So let's just go inside the Sydney Brown.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm gonna You're right, they didn't get much.
- 8:33Speaker 4: But the thing I don't understand. Okay, let's get into
- 8:36Speaker 4: this right.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you brought it up.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Cidney Brown is.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Not a guy who's going to play on defense most likely. Right, well, Sunday,
- 8:46Speaker 4: right exactly. A guy calls me Sunday guys in scouting
- 8:50Speaker 4: because we were just catching up. I texted him about
- 8:53Speaker 4: I had a bunch of questions about his team because,
- 8:56Speaker 4: by the way, what was Ian cutningha thinking, I'm like,
- 8:58Speaker 4: I have no idea. He goes, was he there? Was
- 9:01Speaker 4: he there when he was drafted when City Brown was drift?
- 9:03Speaker 4: I said, no, he was not right, he was not
- 9:06Speaker 4: left left in twenty twenty two.
- 9:08Speaker 3: So I have no idea.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Less there's, as I said to the guy, unless Jeff Albrick,
- 9:13Speaker 4: who's who's the defense coordinator wants to play big nickel. Okay,
- 9:17Speaker 4: three safeties, what's the I don't I don't see the fit.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I just don't see the fit.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I don't either.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I know olbrick is, he's not a too high guy.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Sometimes he's more of a cover one. So if you're
- 9:28Speaker 1: looking for a box, a depth box safety who maybe
- 9:33Speaker 1: you think has the upside to become a starter in
- 9:36Speaker 1: a better in a defense more structured to his skill set. Maybe,
- 9:40Speaker 1: but that's why you don't give up much for him.
- 9:41Speaker 1: You're you're just literally throwing a dart here and just
- 9:44Speaker 1: giving up.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Well, but but here's what the guy brought up, and
- 9:47Speaker 4: I just wanted to verify this.
- 9:48Speaker 3: It's the guy was ready, goes.
- 9:50Speaker 4: You realize that they only five draft picks, so they
- 9:53Speaker 4: made the former GM totally missed him. Well, it doesn't
- 9:55Speaker 4: look good for James Pierce. Wow.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's really rough.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah, And and they only have five picks, and one
- 10:02Speaker 4: of those rounds you're giving up the fourth round. He goes,
- 10:05Speaker 4: that's a that's a high end backup round. He goes,
- 10:09Speaker 4: He goes, I wouldn't do that for a guy's probably
- 10:10Speaker 4: not gonna be in your roster after the season, even
- 10:12Speaker 4: though it's only eight spots.
- 10:14Speaker 3: I was like, okay, thank you, I'll use that.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 4: I didn't know this stuff when the guy was bringing
- 10:18Speaker 4: because it was almost like the guy knew I was
- 10:20Speaker 4: going to ask.
- 10:21Speaker 3: He thought I was going to ask him. So, hey,
- 10:22Speaker 3: what goes? He let off?
- 10:24Speaker 4: What do you think Cuttinghams thinking about this, I'm like,
- 10:27Speaker 4: I don't know. I was wondering, is there someone on
- 10:29Speaker 4: the personnel staff? It was here in Philly then coach
- 10:34Speaker 4: so yeah, I mean I don't know. I couldn't figure
- 10:37Speaker 4: it out. But look, here's the bottom line with Sidney
- 10:39Speaker 4: Brown the draft in the third round. Remember when we
- 10:44Speaker 4: was drafted, we talked about issues in coverage, more of
- 10:48Speaker 4: what's called a low safety box safety.
- 10:50Speaker 3: But based on their tape study, senior ball and projecting.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Remember the draft is about projecting, it's not about what
- 10:56Speaker 4: they're going to be now, they really thought he could
- 10:59Speaker 4: play both well. Unfortunately he was making progress. Then the
- 11:04Speaker 4: ACL injury against the Giants. Yeah, and then vic if
- 11:08Speaker 4: Fangio comes in, essentially it's no use for him. He
- 11:12Speaker 4: just he because in twenty three he that was the
- 11:17Speaker 4: the Desai year, which didn't work. Obviously though he was
- 11:19Speaker 4: running Fangio's defense, his version of it. Then the real
- 11:23Speaker 4: McCoy came in here in twenty four Brown's rehabbing his injury.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Uh Vick talked about it. He was just too far behind.
- 11:29Speaker 4: And there's a thing in coaching, man, when when you're
- 11:33Speaker 4: out of sight, out of mind, you don't have a
- 11:34Speaker 4: chance like that. They just I'm not making excuses for
- 11:37Speaker 4: City Brown. He clearly is a is a special teams player,
- 11:40Speaker 4: good one. But they didn't draft and play special teams.
- 11:43Speaker 4: You don't draft got something around just to play special
- 11:45Speaker 4: teams unless you want to get fired. You know, the
- 11:48Speaker 4: teams don't do that. I understand why they did it.
- 11:52Speaker 4: We talked about at the time. I totally get it.
- 11:54Speaker 4: They just missed on him. That just it happens.
- 11:57Speaker 2: You're right.
- 11:59Speaker 1: So Howie Rose had a press conference with the reporters
- 12:01Speaker 1: before the Combine, local reporters, right, and he went out
- 12:06Speaker 1: of he was talking about the draft, and he made
- 12:09Speaker 1: this interesting mention where he said he was really proud
- 12:13Speaker 1: of his and his staff's track record over the last
- 12:16Speaker 1: I think he said three years of Day one and
- 12:19Speaker 1: Day two picks. And he said, I believe we've had
- 12:21Speaker 1: seventeen picks and sixteen of them are starters. So the
- 12:24Speaker 1: only one who was not a starter that he was
- 12:27Speaker 1: referring to with Sidney Brown. And so if you look
- 12:30Speaker 1: at it in a big picture, you say, everybody's gonna
- 12:33Speaker 1: miss every once in a while.
- 12:36Speaker 2: The question I have is there a lesson to be
- 12:37Speaker 2: learned in this miss because they really I don't want to.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I don't want to kill him too much.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Because I think that what they did was we know
- 12:44Speaker 1: that they've they viewed Sidney Brown as a red star player,
- 12:47Speaker 1: which means the highest of high character. Now, he doesn't
- 12:51Speaker 1: play like a high character player all the time. He
- 12:53Speaker 1: does a lot of after the whistle stuff. But he
- 12:55Speaker 1: is a good guy. There's nothing wrong he's not.
- 12:57Speaker 2: He's good.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Good people like him. And but he played undisciplined. Okay,
- 13:02Speaker 1: but he was a good athlete. He's a way better
- 13:04Speaker 1: athlete than Reblankaship. But he could never overtake Reblankaship because
- 13:07Speaker 1: he could not fit the defense. He was not disciplined,
- 13:10Speaker 1: he was not getting it and did not fit it enough.
- 13:12Speaker 1: So I guess what they realized was that just because
- 13:16Speaker 1: he was a really good athlete, and just because he
- 13:19Speaker 1: was a red star player. You think that you tend
- 13:22Speaker 1: to give those guys the benefit of the doubt. They
- 13:23Speaker 1: will figure out what we want to do. And in
- 13:25Speaker 1: this case, it just didn't work. But if you're gonna
- 13:28Speaker 1: come back and say, well, sixteen out of seventeen times
- 13:31Speaker 1: it worked, I can't knock you.
- 13:32Speaker 2: You're right.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Rarely, yeah, but there is a but no, but there
- 13:36Speaker 3: is a lesson since you brought it up.
- 13:38Speaker 2: The scheme thing right, it will.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Box safeties or box safeties. And I brought this up
- 13:45Speaker 4: before when they've drafted Jacon Jarrett. He was the best
- 13:48Speaker 4: tackling safety for the draft. So what then he should
- 13:50Speaker 4: be a fifth round pick. If he can't cover, he
- 13:53Speaker 4: can't go in the first three rounds.
- 13:54Speaker 3: You just can't.
- 13:56Speaker 4: And that that's your super high care person. Off the field,
- 14:00Speaker 4: him and his brother are great people. I get all that.
- 14:02Speaker 4: That's great, right, But on the field, Sydney Brown had
- 14:06Speaker 4: issues and coverage he just did and and I understand
- 14:09Speaker 4: what they're thinking was it's about projection. That's fine, and
- 14:13Speaker 4: who knows, if he didn't tear the a cl maybe
- 14:15Speaker 4: he could have been that that guy maybe, But that's
- 14:18Speaker 4: that set him back because the coach of staff change.
- 14:21Speaker 4: That's also context matters. That that definitely that matters.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he moves on.
- 14:26Speaker 4: But yes, I would say if you look at the
- 14:29Speaker 4: last three drafts. But we don't you know, last year's draft.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Campbell just had another shoulder surgery. We don't know that
- 14:37Speaker 4: about that yet. Mccoba got hurt and you gotta you
- 14:41Speaker 4: gotta look at in over a three year period. But
- 14:44Speaker 4: Mitchell stud de Jean stud Hunt really good about that. Boy,
- 14:48Speaker 4: he looks like a great third round pick. He's he's
- 14:51Speaker 4: he's got a chance to be a great third round pick. Okay,
- 14:54Speaker 4: will Shipley as contributed as the fourth still want more
- 14:57Speaker 4: out of him?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Then? I know.
- 14:59Speaker 4: Niah Smith's with him was a miss. This is the
- 15:00Speaker 4: twenty four draft trotters contributing as a backup. Kegan missed.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Wilson's contributed. McMahon was a total miss. Carter, Carter's going
- 15:08Speaker 4: to be home run, Nolan Smith, Nymoor out of him,
- 15:11Speaker 4: Steen he is starting, Zonney Brown, miss Ringo didn't get
- 15:16Speaker 4: enough out of him, only a special teams player. McKee
- 15:18Speaker 4: home run for it for a six round pick for
- 15:20Speaker 4: his backup Joe home run?
- 15:22Speaker 3: How is right?
- 15:23Speaker 4: I mean if that's what he said with you guys,
- 15:26Speaker 4: Jordan Davis didn't know who was they hit at the time.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, he's yeah, he was only talking about for day one,
- 15:31Speaker 2: day two, so don't really.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Yeah, he's right, I mean in Na Kobe home run,
- 15:37Speaker 4: you know what, fair point, I'll give it to him.
- 15:39Speaker 3: But it's but we have to point out when when
- 15:40Speaker 3: they're wrong.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Right right right they thought and and yeah, I'm sure
- 15:44Speaker 1: the same thinking like with say, Jaelex Hunt has worked
- 15:48Speaker 1: out a good character kid, good athlete. We're all to
- 15:51Speaker 1: the position, but it'll translate and it you know, it's
- 15:54Speaker 1: it looks like it's translated a lot better with Hunt
- 15:57Speaker 1: than it did.
- 15:58Speaker 4: And by the way, on Hunt, I cannot tell you
- 15:59Speaker 4: how many people coaches were front off. The executives, especially
- 16:03Speaker 4: coaches are super pissed at their team didn't draft Hunt
- 16:06Speaker 4: because they kind of knew it and they kind of
- 16:09Speaker 4: let us know privately. And now there they you know,
- 16:13Speaker 4: through talks with people, they kind of know what happened.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Last year he started to blossom. This is like the
- 16:17Speaker 4: worst feeling when you didn't get when either you were fired,
- 16:21Speaker 4: like you lost your job you worked for another team,
- 16:23Speaker 4: but you taught your general manager or your personal director. Hey, listen,
- 16:27Speaker 4: we need to get this guy mcau again. The addressed
- 16:30Speaker 4: with map projection. What you brought up, that's you saw
- 16:34Speaker 4: it and honestly HAUNTSI. You're ahead of He's basically your
- 16:37Speaker 4: ahead right where people thought he'd be anyway.
- 16:40Speaker 1: So just just to give the real technicalities of it,
- 16:43Speaker 1: the Eagles get overall pick number one, fourteen and one
- 16:45Speaker 1: ninety seven. The Falcons got Sidney Brown one and two fifteen.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Now, one last thing on this.
- 16:52Speaker 1: If you want to know how badly the desire was
- 16:56Speaker 1: for the Eagles to move on from Sidney Brown and
- 16:58Speaker 1: actually be able to get something for him, note that
- 17:01Speaker 1: at the time of this trade, the Eagles basically had
- 17:05Speaker 1: Andrew mccooba under contract, and that's about it.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Now they knew they were bringing back. Yeah, we'll get that.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I mean, well, I'm sorry anybody who's played like meaningful
- 17:14Speaker 1: NFL snacks, right, I Mean, it's not like they were
- 17:16Speaker 1: so deep at the position that they could give a
- 17:18Speaker 1: player away, but they basically did.
- 17:20Speaker 2: And that's just the reality of the situation.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Now, they did make moves to be able to fortify
- 17:26Speaker 1: the position in some regard they bring in They bring
- 17:30Speaker 1: back Marcus EPs to a one year deal, and they
- 17:33Speaker 1: sign a veteran J. T. Gray, who has been more
- 17:36Speaker 1: of a special team he'll replace what Sidney Brown was
- 17:40Speaker 1: giving the Eagles on special teams if he makes the team, which.
- 17:43Speaker 2: He should because they're so thin at the position.
- 17:46Speaker 1: But not You're still looking at the Eagles defense right now,
- 17:48Speaker 1: Adam thinking, Yeah, yeah, I mean we both we both
- 17:52Speaker 1: think Marcus played at a really good level last year
- 17:55Speaker 1: when he had to come in there and and be
- 17:56Speaker 1: the bridge when when Sidney Brown wasn't the guy. But
- 17:59Speaker 1: we also both fel well going into next year, he
- 18:02Speaker 1: should be your third safety, not your compliment to Andrew Racuba.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and again, where where are we now? We're in
- 18:08Speaker 4: We're in late March. So and Michael Carter got us.
- 18:11Speaker 4: You know, he took the pay cut, which we were
- 18:13Speaker 4: expecting a huge pay cut. He had to to come back.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yep, I'm gonna have my eyes on that kid, ad him.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna have my eyes on him.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I'm telling you.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Talkas one who was there at the time when he
- 18:24Speaker 4: was drafted with the Jets. Yes, he was a safety
- 18:29Speaker 4: there in college. I think Joe Casper was there then
- 18:32Speaker 4: at some point he's now the dbast coach. But they
- 18:35Speaker 4: thought immediately that he could be a Nickel, an outstanding Nickel, and.
- 18:40Speaker 3: They, Jody and his people got right the absolute judy.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Ironically, he's not with Eagles, but they they they thought
- 18:47Speaker 4: he would transition and he was quickly became one of
- 18:50Speaker 4: the better Nichols in the in the NFL.
- 18:52Speaker 3: And then he kind of fell off for whatever reason.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yep.
- 18:56Speaker 4: And when I saw that money for twenty I left.
- 18:59Speaker 4: I said, if he's back, will be taking a major shave.
- 19:01Speaker 4: There's just you can't justify ten point two five million
- 19:03Speaker 4: dollars for a backup player, even a starter.
- 19:06Speaker 3: There's no way.
- 19:07Speaker 4: But the thing is to move this along. Here he
- 19:09Speaker 4: could play backup Nickel and safety. And honestly, right now,
- 19:14Speaker 4: with as thin as they are here, here's your safety group.
- 19:18Speaker 4: The aforementioned Epps, Macuba, Carter, Sam G. T. Gray is
- 19:24Speaker 4: will not see time on defense. If you see some
- 19:25Speaker 4: time defense, something seriously wrong.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 19:29Speaker 4: I've put it to Chris Marago's treatment back in Cherry
- 19:32Speaker 4: put him in Cherry Hill, put him all the way back.
- 19:35Speaker 3: To give you an idea how little J. T.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Gray is playing on defense in his career, He's played
- 19:40Speaker 4: two thousand, two hundred and thirty one snaps on special teams.
- 19:43Speaker 3: He's played one fifty three on defense. That's kind of
- 19:47Speaker 3: did I just not tell you it's not playing on
- 19:49Speaker 3: the defense.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Remember when I said, like five years ago, if Brett
- 19:52Speaker 1: Toth has to come in and play right tackle against
- 19:54Speaker 1: the Ravens, they're in trouble.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Well he had to come player backs, and they were.
- 19:57Speaker 2: They were in the Ravens game.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Isn't it funny? And then now he's with the Niners.
- 20:01Speaker 4: But Cosell calls me and goes, hey, we have to
- 20:04Speaker 4: talk about Brett toe because we're doing the inside the
- 20:06Speaker 4: Tape show. I'm like, why, he goes, you cannot believe
- 20:07Speaker 4: I'm good. This guy looked, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that
- 20:12Speaker 4: second give me and gets the Giants and then he's gone.
- 20:14Speaker 4: So so yeah, so okay, right now when you look
- 20:19Speaker 4: at it, so Grace is going to play on specials
- 20:23Speaker 4: as is back third safety.
- 20:26Speaker 3: You hope he doesn't have to start. If he does,
- 20:28Speaker 3: you hope it's not the whole season. But he does.
- 20:31Speaker 4: He knows the scheme, yep. But the needs now are
- 20:35Speaker 4: still they're they're dwindling just for this season, like they
- 20:38Speaker 4: don't have a lot of them for long term, which
- 20:41Speaker 4: will be on another show. They still nothing's changed, but
- 20:44Speaker 4: for just this season, they still need someone to replace
- 20:47Speaker 4: Fred Johnson. They swing back up left tackle, right tackle preferably.
- 20:52Speaker 4: You know what's interesting, Darren Canard re signed with the Packers.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Came back to the pack They gave him a little
- 20:57Speaker 4: bit over two million. I was just looking at his
- 20:59Speaker 4: contract the other day. A backup guard slash center. Could
- 21:04Speaker 4: use one of those. If they're gonna trade Aj Brown,
- 21:07Speaker 4: they need another receiver. If now, if AJ's here, which
- 21:10Speaker 4: would be surprising, but if he's here, Hollywood Brown and
- 21:13Speaker 4: it's five millionaire or third receiver and you got Cooper
- 21:16Speaker 4: and they'll be okay. And then edge has not changed.
- 21:20Speaker 4: They still need a starting edge. M h You know
- 21:23Speaker 4: they they because they told you so. They try to
- 21:25Speaker 4: get Phillips back. They kind of gave you the answers
- 21:28Speaker 4: and then as we said, starting safety next to Macouba.
- 21:31Speaker 4: So for this season that the needs are down, but
- 21:36Speaker 4: there's just saying if you can get upgrade, you get them.
- 21:38Speaker 3: But you know, we're we're getting close to the draft.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Now there's.
- 21:42Speaker 4: The the the type of free agents. If you're looking
- 21:45Speaker 4: for A level free agents, there aren't many of them.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Agreed, I am looking into my crystal ball. I'm seeing
- 21:52Speaker 1: an AJ Brown trade. I'm seeing the Eagles. Eagles taking
- 21:55Speaker 1: the compensation for that trade, packaging with their first round pick,
- 22:00Speaker 1: and moving up for Caleb Downs.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Nope, I'm not saying no safety.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Safety. Huh, that would be ironic.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I mean, listen, if they're gonna potentially take a tight end,
- 22:09Speaker 1: they'll potentially I mean, he's no safety.
- 22:10Speaker 2: He's in everything.
- 22:11Speaker 1: He can transform your defense. Uh, and he'd be perfect
- 22:15Speaker 1: in a Fangio defense, I'm sure.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Uh. And then all of a sudden you look at
- 22:19Speaker 2: the US defense and you've got Coop Caleb.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Downs and will not be playing safety. Then if that happens,
- 22:25Speaker 4: Coop will not be playing safety. He's either gonna be
- 22:27Speaker 4: a nickel or a corner.
- 22:31Speaker 2: With Quill and they'll probably be a nickel again.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, with his twelve million is a corner. So
- 22:35Speaker 3: he looks like he's going to be a Nike.
- 22:37Speaker 2: All yep, yep. So I would think that the kid
- 22:41Speaker 2: from the Jets, uh, like Michael Carter.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Can get some looks at safety because at Nicol, you
- 22:48Speaker 1: have Coop. You'll have Mack McWilliams back here too. They'll
- 22:51Speaker 1: look at him there and they like the kid from
- 22:52Speaker 1: Oregon who got.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Hurt in the season.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Johnson. Yeah.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, he's got to make the t amount
- 23:00Speaker 2: all that. But I'm just saying they liked him practicing there.
- 23:03Speaker 1: But if I recall correctly, Adam, I think they started
- 23:06Speaker 1: him at safety when they played in that that's that
- 23:09Speaker 1: last game when they rested their starters. I think Brandon
- 23:12Speaker 1: Johnson actually started that game at safety because he also played.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Oh did hear his knee? That was the game he
- 23:18Speaker 3: got hurt his knee? He here?
- 23:19Speaker 2: Yeah, after the game, yeah.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Or ankle whatever? You right, you saw him? Did you
- 23:23Speaker 3: see him the locker room?
- 23:24Speaker 2: I did?
- 23:25Speaker 3: I did?
- 23:26Speaker 2: And and crutches yeah all right. Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 4: He didn't start the game against the Jetsuits. Actually, Tristan
- 23:33Speaker 4: McCollum is Kristin Tristan McCollum.
- 23:36Speaker 1: No, no, no, no season finale, not not preseason. Finally, yeah,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I think he played in the regular Yeah, am I
- 23:44Speaker 1: am I mixing that up?
- 23:45Speaker 2: I thought he did. I could be completely wrong. I
- 23:48Speaker 2: talked about against the Commandos, I thought so, am I wrong.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Oh, Michael Carter. You mean Michael Carter, Yes, Michael car right.
- 23:55Speaker 1: But then I thought Brandon Johnson got in there. But again,
- 23:57Speaker 1: maybe that was the preseason finale that he played.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Well, no, it's it's it's ironic. Who started with Carter?
- 24:03Speaker 3: Sidney Brown? Yeah, oh boy, listen to the secondary against Washington.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Uh huh Ringo. Oh, you're right.
- 24:12Speaker 4: No, they started, they started. You could call it whatever
- 24:16Speaker 4: you want, big nicol. They played nickel, but Brandon Johns
- 24:19Speaker 4: A good call by you. Johnson did start.
- 24:22Speaker 2: But I was paying attention. He was not. He was
- 24:24Speaker 2: a deep guy.
- 24:25Speaker 1: He was not like a the big The third safety
- 24:27Speaker 1: is usually the box guy or the inside cover guy.
- 24:29Speaker 1: He was more of like a deep post guy.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Yeah, he was playing natural safety.
- 24:33Speaker 4: Yeah, it is funny. Brandon Johnson was number forty nine
- 24:35Speaker 4: with Michael Carter mm hmm, Sidney Brown, Ringo, and Jacreyne Bennett.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Wow.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, good call. So interesting stuff.
- 24:45Speaker 1: So there that's another guy who's multi dimensional and we'll
- 24:47Speaker 1: get some looks. But obviously he faces an uphill battle.
- 24:50Speaker 1: But I just wanted to throw his name in there.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go. I thought I do have a
- 24:53Speaker 2: pretty good memory. I thought I was wrong, but I
- 24:55Speaker 2: was right, all right? What else? What else should we
- 24:58Speaker 2: look for here over the next few years?
- 25:00Speaker 3: There's all right, so they need to get a veteran tackle.
- 25:03Speaker 4: The good thing is now again they've changed their scheme,
- 25:06Speaker 4: so not everybody's gonna be a fit. And Fred Johnson
- 25:09Speaker 4: may not be a fit. There's still a lot of
- 25:12Speaker 4: there's a lot of journeyman tackles out there. They could
- 25:15Speaker 4: the number, the the money is so low right now.
- 25:19Speaker 4: These guys get just way too closer to the training camp, like,
- 25:21Speaker 4: they don't have a lot of leverage right now. It's
- 25:24Speaker 4: a it's a it's sort of a buyer's market from
- 25:27Speaker 4: a club standpoint, m there are so many backup tackles
- 25:31Speaker 4: out there now.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Who fits Chris Cooper and and his.
- 25:35Speaker 4: His scheme is is a question now the backup center guards,
- 25:40Speaker 4: it's been picked over a bit. You know, he's out
- 25:43Speaker 4: there and he could play center or guard. I don't
- 25:46Speaker 4: know if he's a fit for this this this scheme
- 25:48Speaker 4: or not. Is Graham Glasgow.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Okay from the Lions?
- 25:52Speaker 4: Yeah, they cut him. He's a roster bonus of five
- 25:55Speaker 4: hundre grand they cut him. Yep, they're gonna there they're
- 25:57Speaker 4: gonna have. They might have four new starts on their
- 25:59Speaker 4: offensive line. That left tackle was cut. Glasgow was cut. Uh,
- 26:04Speaker 4: so he's out there. I'm looking at guys who could
- 26:06Speaker 4: play garden center Liam Mikeenberg, I believe it's still out there,
- 26:10Speaker 4: formerly a Dolphins, who's the second rounder?
- 26:13Speaker 1: Well, he would probably fick because I'm guessing he played
- 26:15Speaker 1: in the Mike McDaniel outside his own offense.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Right, yeah, Liam Mikeenberg.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Yep, he's drafted by a different GM there of course
- 26:22Speaker 4: in Miami, right, Not that this guy would fix Kevin
- 26:25Speaker 4: Zeitler still at there.
- 26:26Speaker 3: He's a guard only though.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Oh my god, Well he kind of fits any defense
- 26:28Speaker 1: because he's played in I mean, any offense because he's
- 26:30Speaker 1: played in every every offense.
- 26:32Speaker 3: I know he has. He's been with a bunch of teams.
- 26:34Speaker 1: But he was with he was with Zeitler was with
- 26:37Speaker 1: Was he not with the Titans?
- 26:40Speaker 3: I know?
- 26:40Speaker 2: But wasn't he at one point with in Cleveland or No?
- 26:44Speaker 4: Oh it sounds right Giants. Yeah, yeah, he's out there now.
- 26:53Speaker 4: The other thing is are these guys wanting to take
- 26:56Speaker 4: up because a lot of these guys who think they
- 26:57Speaker 4: could still start, they may not come here unless they're told, hey,
- 27:03Speaker 4: we have a kid at right guard who we drafted
- 27:07Speaker 4: for a stout scheme. We want to bring him in
- 27:10Speaker 4: here for competition like that could happen. Yeah, but that's
- 27:13Speaker 4: part of the discussions is when you, like Greek Willon
- 27:16Speaker 4: know he was coming here to start to paying twelve million,
- 27:18Speaker 4: he's starting the year one. He's only an a one
- 27:19Speaker 4: year deal. And then if this is the way, you
- 27:23Speaker 4: tell the agent, hey, this is what we see in
- 27:26Speaker 4: mind for him, and then that the player has a
- 27:27Speaker 4: decision to make.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Hey, if you're like me, you're desensitized to the dozens

- 29:49Speaker 2: All right, so that's the offensive line.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Some receiver like you said, if aj Brown still traded,
- 29:53Speaker 1: they'll need receiver.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I think we're in a holding pattern, oh.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Receiver, Just to give you a real quick idea of
- 29:59Speaker 4: the receivers are out there.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not pretty.
- 30:02Speaker 4: Uh well, well, okay, I'm gonna look into Juwan Jennings.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Maybe he wants more money than teams are willing to offer,
- 30:10Speaker 4: but this is ridiculous that he is done of a
- 30:11Speaker 4: job yet.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that that's probably it. He wanted more
- 30:17Speaker 1: money even with the forty nine ers last.
- 30:19Speaker 4: I know he thought he's a good backup player. You'd
- 30:21Speaker 4: be great three for a team.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Yep, in this offense especially.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Yeah, but we mentioned Brandon Cooks.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Brandon Cooks like he was shot out of a cannon
- 30:28Speaker 4: with Buffalo well and Josh Allen throwing to him.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Yep.
- 30:31Speaker 4: But oh boy, did he look great in the playoffs
- 30:33Speaker 4: for Buffalo that I think that Jaguar game, he might
- 30:37Speaker 4: have beaten the Jaguars just by himself.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah, he was so good.
- 30:40Speaker 4: Uh, Curtis Samuel was cut. He's a sort of a
- 30:43Speaker 4: movable guy.
- 30:44Speaker 2: I kind of like Curtis Samuel honestly.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I mean he's hurt a lot, but he's Yeah, he's
- 30:48Speaker 1: a movable What you just said makes him perfect for
- 30:51Speaker 1: this kind of offense, heide.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Yeah, he's not a true sloppy you can claim and
- 30:54Speaker 4: soil en. You love Keenan Allen, so why.
- 30:57Speaker 2: I just love Keenan Allen.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm probably gonna make the whole fame.
- 31:00Speaker 4: So he'd be got to say he still clearly has
- 31:03Speaker 4: something left.
- 31:03Speaker 3: There's no question of something left.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Yep.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Yeah, there it's a buyer's market now for clubs.
- 31:08Speaker 4: When you get to week three, agents will say, tons,
- 31:11Speaker 4: it's kind of funny for watching us the YouTube cups
- 31:14Speaker 4: in hand, what do we need to do to I
- 31:17Speaker 4: love that line and some agents have used it over
- 31:19Speaker 4: the years because they don't leverage anymore, you know, right right,
- 31:22Speaker 4: I mean, it's just the way it is.
- 31:24Speaker 3: And then what else is going to tell you? Yet? Nothing?
- 31:28Speaker 1: The same story on defense, we talked about safety they need,
- 31:30Speaker 1: you know, what they need and still need, and then
- 31:32Speaker 1: of course edge.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I mean it's there.
- 31:34Speaker 4: Are a lot of safeties out there. The good thing
- 31:36Speaker 4: is there are so many safeties out there. It is
- 31:40Speaker 4: by far the deepest position deep tackles now been picked over.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Safety is the deepest position in free agency. It's by
- 31:48Speaker 3: far deep the deepest. Yep, yeah, there's there's now again.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Fit for fansio defense if they haven't played in it?
- 31:56Speaker 4: Do they fit in here? Because you have to figure
- 31:59Speaker 4: it out with mccoub how how are you gonna line
- 32:01Speaker 4: everything up?
- 32:02Speaker 3: But you know, there are a lot of them out there.
- 32:05Speaker 4: It's just a matter of what these guys, you know,
- 32:06Speaker 4: are they willing to take a backup job or do
- 32:09Speaker 4: they you know, if they want to definitely start that's
- 32:13Speaker 4: you have to because also you got.
- 32:14Speaker 3: The draft too. Yeah.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Kyle. Kyle Duggar is still available here.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Yeah, this has been one of those mysteries. Nine months
- 32:22Speaker 4: after they signed him to an extension, they're trying to
- 32:24Speaker 4: trade him. It's like that's it was a warning sign,
- 32:27Speaker 4: like Okay, you're gonna eat all this guaranteed money.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Yep, Pittsburgh didn't resign him. What's what is wrong with
- 32:33Speaker 3: this guy? Like what what happened? He was a stunt.
- 32:36Speaker 3: He was an absolute stunt.
- 32:37Speaker 2: For I know, I don't get it. Ployer Wilson, they're
- 32:40Speaker 2: a little long in the two.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Donovan Wilson could play. Yeah. Geno Stone, Geno Stone.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Geno Stone signed with fun.
- 32:49Speaker 2: That okay, I didn't know he sign Oh yeah yeah
- 32:52Speaker 2: he signed with the Bills. That's right.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, So Taylor Rap got cut by the Bills.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Ashton Davis is still out there, Xavier with travel down,
- 33:01Speaker 4: Xavier Woods, who's probably been on five teams. So yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 4: they're there's no to me. If if you're the Eagles,
- 33:08Speaker 4: obviously they have to add another safety. But they don't
- 33:10Speaker 4: have to do this now. They could wait see what
- 33:11Speaker 4: happens in the draft.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Is this is this? You know, people have the term
- 33:17Speaker 3: draft proof. I'm not a real big fan of it.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I understand it, mm hmm.
- 33:20Speaker 4: But sometimes saying something's draft proof, I mean it's it's
- 33:23Speaker 4: to the quality of the player. I mean you could say, oh, yeah,
- 33:25Speaker 4: they've addressed all these positions, they don't need to address it,
- 33:27Speaker 4: and the draft, the draft is about the future. But
- 33:30Speaker 4: you also just assuming these guys are really good that
- 33:33Speaker 4: they've signed, So why do they become free agents? There's
- 33:35Speaker 4: some issue with them that's not MLB free agency? Right,
- 33:41Speaker 4: there's a reason why. Ninety times out of one hundred,
- 33:44Speaker 4: there's an issue with the player. Yep, there's injury history,
- 33:47Speaker 4: age off the field, bad scheme, fit, drafted by another
- 33:52Speaker 4: general manager. By the way, sometimes the new the new
- 33:55Speaker 4: guys come in the wrong. They should have kept the
- 33:57Speaker 4: flier yep, and they screwed up. But we're just saying
- 34:00Speaker 4: this is that we give you the reasons why these
- 34:02Speaker 4: guys become free there's always a reason. It's not like
- 34:05Speaker 4: the club that had them just as they woke up
- 34:07Speaker 4: into that, which're gonna come I don't want to, right,
- 34:09Speaker 4: it doesn't work that way.
- 34:10Speaker 3: There's a reason why it has become free.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Something tells me like seven weeks from now on, some
- 34:14Speaker 1: like mid May afternoon, Joe Douglas is gonna finally convince
- 34:19Speaker 1: Howie to just sign Ashton Davis because he drafted in
- 34:22Speaker 1: with the Jets.
- 34:23Speaker 3: It was a big time, big time as a cow.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Yeah, very good athlete, tracks all that, you know.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Right, But it's like, what is easy a safety? Easy linebacker? Right? Right?
- 34:34Speaker 3: But yep, that's that's the way it works.
- 34:36Speaker 4: So, yeah, they've addressed a lot, spent way more money
- 34:40Speaker 4: than free agency this year than he did last year.
- 34:42Speaker 3: But that's not saying much because they spent twelve million.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Yeah, well guy for three million, and the rest were
- 34:48Speaker 4: like one point two million, one point five million.
- 34:50Speaker 2: What's six hundred thousand, six hundred thousand for shot Penny?
- 34:54Speaker 3: What the hell was that one? That was a weird one?
- 34:56Speaker 3: What was it for shot penny?
- 34:57Speaker 1: Deal in twenty that was six hundred thousand a year,
- 34:58Speaker 1: where like five guys it's got six hundred thousand dollars.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Except mcmurro who got zero zero.
- 35:04Speaker 3: That's correct.
- 35:06Speaker 2: All right, great stuff.
- 35:07Speaker 1: We'll be back all week long with any other news
- 35:10Speaker 1: that comes our way. With the Eagles and that's gonna
