- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio. It's time for the almost famous podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. I don't know when
- 0:11Speaker 1: you're listening to this, but whenever you are, we hope
- 0:13Speaker 1: you're doing well. It's week three of The Bachelor's Zack's season.
- 0:18Speaker 1: There's a lot to talk about today, not necessarily in
- 0:22Speaker 1: relationship to this episode, but the show in general. Ashley,
- 0:27Speaker 1: we're three weeks in. I want to talk about my
- 0:30Speaker 1: thoughts so far on this season. Your thoughts so far
- 0:33Speaker 1: on this season. Um, there's a lot of things going
- 0:36Speaker 1: on on the show. But are we loving it or
- 0:40Speaker 1: hating it? It's gonna be a good episode for that.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I have a little scratchy voice. I got home last night,
- 0:46Speaker 1: very very late. I was gone for three straight weeks.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I'm back in Denver, Colorado now and it feels good. Congratulations.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I'm so happy for you. I hope you take time
- 0:55Speaker 1: to just breathe in that fresh mountain air. It's gonna
- 1:00Speaker 1: be important. You know. I was in California for a bit.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I missed all the pictures and the fun times that
- 1:04Speaker 1: you guys had. I was there, uh pretty much before
- 1:07Speaker 1: uh everybody arrived, including yourself. I got to see you
- 1:10Speaker 1: for a few minutes, which was amazing and awesome, truly
- 1:13Speaker 1: a few minutes, it was like and that sucked. Yeah,
- 1:17Speaker 1: it was not fun for me to see you, who
- 1:20Speaker 1: I don't get to see in person very often, and
- 1:22Speaker 1: they'd be like, sorry, I'm out. I was in Honduras,
- 1:25Speaker 1: which was an incredible trip and in fact, Ashley, I
- 1:28Speaker 1: only mentioned it on this podcast because I talked about
- 1:30Speaker 1: Honduras quite often and you know, UM, it is what
- 1:33Speaker 1: it is. It's a huge part of my life. But UH,
- 1:36Speaker 1: we brought a generous UH like team down and a
- 1:40Speaker 1: humanityan hope team, so the nonprofit and the for profit
- 1:42Speaker 1: company UH down. There was some incredible people that went
- 1:46Speaker 1: with us on this trip. It was an awesome trip.
- 1:48Speaker 1: But there was also some almost famous fans who came
- 1:51Speaker 1: down UH and that's always really fun for me because
- 1:55Speaker 1: they take the time to listen to us weekly. So UH,
- 1:58Speaker 1: this almost famous community UH continues to UM to show
- 2:02Speaker 1: up to show out. I enjoy it. I know you
- 2:05Speaker 1: do too, UM. But yes, I got home late last night,
- 2:07Speaker 1: so my voice is not as clear as I'd usually
- 2:11Speaker 1: like it to be. Is it more Zack like. It's
- 2:14Speaker 1: more zac like. It is more Zack like. I. I
- 2:19Speaker 1: hopefully will speak a little faster because that's what okay,
- 2:26Speaker 1: Ben share one story from Honduras that we'll all find
- 2:28Speaker 1: interesting or enlightening. There was many this trip, honestly, so
- 2:34Speaker 1: UM I would say, we've talked about it before on
- 2:37Speaker 1: the show, and this is an important thing. One of
- 2:40Speaker 1: somebody was an almost famous listener. Somebody was a generous
- 2:44Speaker 1: UH supporter and ambassador, and somebody who also donated to
- 2:48Speaker 1: Humanity Hope United. Her name is Hannah, Hannah Turgent, and
- 2:53Speaker 1: Hannah was just an incredible human And I could go
- 2:55Speaker 1: on and on about who Hannah was. And Hannah was
- 2:57Speaker 1: twenty seven years old. She was living UM in a
- 3:01Speaker 1: in a suburb of Denver, actually just in a city
- 3:03Speaker 1: in Colorado. And Hannah UM is UH the young lady
- 3:08Speaker 1: who passed away tragically in a hit and run accident
- 3:11Speaker 1: when she was walking down the sidewalk after a Notre
- 3:13Speaker 1: Dame football game. She was hit by a driver, a
- 3:16Speaker 1: drunk driver, and that driver took off. And UM, that
- 3:20Speaker 1: was three years ago. Hannah was a huge part of
- 3:23Speaker 1: my life because of her work behind the scenes. UM.
- 3:26Speaker 1: She did a couple of really creative ways to raise
- 3:28Speaker 1: money for Humanity Hope United and also support Generous But
- 3:33Speaker 1: this trip, her family was able and friends were able
- 3:36Speaker 1: to come down with us on this trip UH and
- 3:40Speaker 1: dedicate one of the homes that Hannah helped raise money
- 3:42Speaker 1: for that Humane and Hope United built to Hannah. That's
- 3:47Speaker 1: amazing and also tragic, tragic, but an incredible kind of
- 3:51Speaker 1: healing moment. It was an awesome ceremony we did, and
- 3:55Speaker 1: we went to a coffee farm, an incredible coffee farm,
- 3:58Speaker 1: so we got to show them everything about cough be
- 4:00Speaker 1: and how it's made UH, and then a lot of
- 4:03Speaker 1: time playing with kids, and we opened up a medical
- 4:05Speaker 1: center that's recently been built, so we helped um dedicate
- 4:09Speaker 1: that and start that up, and communities from all over
- 4:11Speaker 1: came in to get medical treatment. So, but the most
- 4:16Speaker 1: impactful part of the trip was definitely the ceremony for
- 4:18Speaker 1: hand of that that hit deep for many. Well, Ben,
- 4:22Speaker 1: that's so sad, but I'm so glad that like her
- 4:24Speaker 1: legacy lives on in like such a beautiful way. Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you know, honestly, I'm just really glad her family was
- 4:29Speaker 1: able to come down and see what she was up
- 4:30Speaker 1: to that meant a lot. So we're back. We're ready. Uh,
- 4:35Speaker 1: we're gonna I mean, we're gonna talk about The Bachelor.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I had some great insight from what I feel like
- 4:40Speaker 1: our fans of the show still and fans of this
- 4:43Speaker 1: podcast on my trip, like asking me questions about what
- 4:46Speaker 1: I thought about the current season, what I think about
- 4:47Speaker 1: the future of the show. Uh, you know. And so
- 4:50Speaker 1: I feel like I have some inside knowledge now from
- 4:53Speaker 1: a wider perspective on how people are feeling, and I
- 4:57Speaker 1: can't wait to share it with you. Um well, before
- 5:01Speaker 1: we start to break down an episode, I'll share I
- 5:03Speaker 1: think people are confused. I feel like I feel like
- 5:06Speaker 1: they they What I kept getting was it seems like
- 5:09Speaker 1: they want to love the show. People today always say
- 5:12Speaker 1: they love to hate the show. It's kind of been
- 5:14Speaker 1: the trend, right, Like you love to hate on the contestants,
- 5:17Speaker 1: hate on the content of the show, hate on each day.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Like it's kind of the fun thing, right, That's been
- 5:22Speaker 1: the trend for a few seasons, as you love to hate.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Used to not be that way, as we've talked about
- 5:27Speaker 1: on the show before. It used to be that people
- 5:28Speaker 1: were just really love the show and supported the people
- 5:30Speaker 1: on the show and love the love stories that existed
- 5:32Speaker 1: and rude for those love stories. And I felt like
- 5:36Speaker 1: after talking to this group, but it might have been
- 5:38Speaker 1: the group I was around, they still want to love
- 5:40Speaker 1: the show. They just are confused at what they're watching.
- 5:44Speaker 1: They're confused on what is happening. They're confused on on
- 5:47Speaker 1: what has gone missing from the thing that they love
- 5:50Speaker 1: for so many years of their life. And they every
- 5:52Speaker 1: season consistently got excited to watch uh and so from
- 5:57Speaker 1: from my perspective, especially in this season, they just feel disconnected,
- 6:02Speaker 1: like they don't feel involved as a fan and a viewer.
- 6:06Speaker 1: They don't feel like, um, they are rooting for anybody.
- 6:11Speaker 1: They feel like they watch it to pass the time,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and they don't pass the one. At one somebody on
- 6:17Speaker 1: the trip said they haven't shared a tear, like an
- 6:20Speaker 1: emotional tear over the show and in many seasons. And
- 6:23Speaker 1: they's like every season, I used to cry every season,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I used to we we cried with Michael during Paradise. Sure, sure,
- 6:31Speaker 1: that's that's true. I don't know if all these people
- 6:32Speaker 1: watch Paradise, we really talk about Paradise. Paradise is kind
- 6:35Speaker 1: of its own separate You know beast, but um, they're
- 6:38Speaker 1: just like, hey, I don't feel involved anymore, Which I
- 6:42Speaker 1: think is an interesting thing to think is as a viewer,
- 6:44Speaker 1: I feel disconnected. Yeah, I wonder if our viewers are
- 6:48Speaker 1: our listeners feel that way to the show. Do they
- 6:50Speaker 1: feel disconnect? I guess the question is like, can we
- 6:53Speaker 1: pinpoint why is it? I think it's just I think
- 6:58Speaker 1: in this situation is just the lead. I think it
- 7:01Speaker 1: might be the lead. Um. Sometimes I also think that
- 7:05Speaker 1: the what kept getting brought up was did they feel
- 7:08Speaker 1: They kept asking me, do you feel like the social
- 7:09Speaker 1: media influencer thing really kind of ruined the show? And
- 7:13Speaker 1: I said I did for a bit, but I don't
- 7:15Speaker 1: feel like it's a thing anymore. Like that people are
- 7:17Speaker 1: becoming influencers from the show, So now I don't feel
- 7:22Speaker 1: like that's an excuse. So what actually is happening? Actually,
- 7:25Speaker 1: I'd love to hear your thoughts. Yeah. I thought about
- 7:28Speaker 1: that last night too. There's nobody on the show like
- 7:31Speaker 1: I think these girls that are signing up for the
- 7:33Speaker 1: show now they know that they're not going to get
- 7:36Speaker 1: a ton of followers from it. So it's almost back
- 7:40Speaker 1: to where we were, like in the two thousand ten
- 7:43Speaker 1: area where it's just like you like went on for
- 7:46Speaker 1: your fifteen minutes to say you were on TV and
- 7:50Speaker 1: it's like you're part of batch donation, which is pretty cool,
- 7:53Speaker 1: but you're not maybe going to make a much of
- 7:56Speaker 1: a living off of it unless you really channel it
- 7:58Speaker 1: into a specific way. Yeah. I think it's the disconnect
- 8:02Speaker 1: with the leads and I think the contestants and I think, Um,
- 8:06Speaker 1: I have a theory. Can I share this theory? I
- 8:09Speaker 1: love your theories. So you had a generation of people
- 8:12Speaker 1: watching the show back in the day. Um, and yes,
- 8:16Speaker 1: there was still a gap at some level between people
- 8:21Speaker 1: who were in their twenties and people who are in
- 8:23Speaker 1: their fifties. But socially the gap wasn't that why social
- 8:27Speaker 1: media didn't exist, and so you didn't have any Like
- 8:31Speaker 1: people in their twenties weren't socializing and terribly drastically different
- 8:36Speaker 1: ways than people in their fifties. They were still going
- 8:40Speaker 1: to a bar, they were still meeting up for dinner
- 8:42Speaker 1: with friends. Um, they would still call each other on
- 8:45Speaker 1: the phone or write a note. Today, people in their
- 8:49Speaker 1: fifties and sixties aren't as active on social media as
- 8:52Speaker 1: a stereotype and as the most part then people in
- 8:55Speaker 1: their twenties and teens in college, and so people in
- 8:59Speaker 1: their forties and fifties who the show direct really counts
- 9:02Speaker 1: on to watch. This show is a huge demographic when
- 9:05Speaker 1: it comes to people who tune in to watch The
- 9:07Speaker 1: Bachelor and watch these love stories play out. They aren't
- 9:10Speaker 1: relating with the contestants any longer because their lives look
- 9:13Speaker 1: so different in terms of what they're doing and what
- 9:16Speaker 1: they're speaking about, what they're worried about, what they're pursuing,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and what they're talking about. And so back in the day,
- 9:21Speaker 1: you had a bunch of people, no matter what age,
- 9:23Speaker 1: kind of relating with the contestants going. I remember when
- 9:26Speaker 1: I was seven years old and hoping to find love.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I remember myself in their position. I can see myself
- 9:33Speaker 1: in them today. I don't know if viewers that are
- 9:36Speaker 1: in the four I mean even for me at thirty
- 9:39Speaker 1: three years old, I watched people in their twenties and
- 9:42Speaker 1: sometimes they're talking about things that I have no clue,
- 9:45Speaker 1: um anything about. You know, I'm not that much older
- 9:48Speaker 1: than them. In fact, some people are my age still
- 9:50Speaker 1: going on the show. And so I just think that
- 9:54Speaker 1: the real like the relatability is is a tad disconnected
- 9:59Speaker 1: and might be on, and so viewers no longer feel
- 10:01Speaker 1: like they can dive in and really see themselves in
- 10:04Speaker 1: these contestants or the lead. That's a theory that I'm
- 10:08Speaker 1: going to poke a hole in now with. I think
- 10:13Speaker 1: that we don't even really get a gauge about what
- 10:17Speaker 1: people are talking about in the real world on the
- 10:19Speaker 1: show because the show conversations are always just about like
- 10:23Speaker 1: what's your past relationship been? Like how do you feel
- 10:25Speaker 1: about finding love? You know, everything has just been the
- 10:29Speaker 1: same conversations for years and years, which then goes into
- 10:32Speaker 1: my theory. And I don't know if I really believe
- 10:35Speaker 1: my theories, but now it's just food for thought, Like one,
- 10:40Speaker 1: this theory belongs in congruence with yours. Um, the show
- 10:46Speaker 1: is sort of it's been on for so long, so
- 10:49Speaker 1: it kind of crosses over generations, like you're talking about.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And I was with the producer the other day and
- 10:54Speaker 1: we were talking about like just like the trajectory of
- 10:57Speaker 1: the show over the past twenty years, and it was huge,
- 11:01Speaker 1: you know, huge when it first started, and then like
- 11:03Speaker 1: the Trista season and then the few afterward, and then
- 11:06Speaker 1: it kind of died off, not died off enough, like
- 11:10Speaker 1: where like the show would you cancel or anything like that.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Actually the ratings were awesome, still great, you know, like
- 11:16Speaker 1: I would say, I'm just throughout numbers here that I
- 11:19Speaker 1: feel like might be accurate, but like they're probably like
- 11:22Speaker 1: the ten million ish versus when Trista was on, which
- 11:26Speaker 1: was probably in the twenty million, just because yeah, because
- 11:31Speaker 1: ratings used to be so high back then. So it
- 11:34Speaker 1: did sort of die off for a bit after about
- 11:37Speaker 1: what I would want to say is like eight ish years.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Then it kind of got a resurgence, going to stay
- 11:44Speaker 1: around the area the era that I started watching, somewhere
- 11:48Speaker 1: around Ali and Emily, you know, Ali Brad Emily like
- 11:53Speaker 1: that area, and then it brought on like a whole
- 11:56Speaker 1: new generation of Bachelor watchers. And now those Bachelor watchers
- 12:01Speaker 1: have been watching for ten years, and maybe we're following
- 12:06Speaker 1: the same pattern where they're gonna die off a little bit.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Not literally, their interests is going to die off a
- 12:14Speaker 1: little bit because we've been watching for ten years and
- 12:17Speaker 1: we know the formula too well, and now the formula
- 12:20Speaker 1: is getting boring before maybe another generation picks up on it.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And of course, throughout that entire time, they're like the
- 12:26Speaker 1: lifers that have been watching for twenty years. That's just
- 12:29Speaker 1: a theory. I don't know that I believe in it.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I'm just saying that it could be. So it's cyclical.
- 12:34Speaker 1: So we're saying is we're hoping that the show finds
- 12:37Speaker 1: itself back on top. Um, I would love to see
- 12:40Speaker 1: that happen. Obviously be good for our show. Here, I
- 12:43Speaker 1: have another theory. Okay, this could be a little dumb.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Back when I started watching, there was no social media.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I couldn't scroll on well, I could scroll on Twitter
- 12:56Speaker 1: when I started watching, but I wasn't really scrolling on Instagram,
- 13:00Speaker 1: our TikTok. And now I have this shorter attention span,
- 13:03Speaker 1: and I find the content on Instagram and TikTok to
- 13:06Speaker 1: be more entertaining than when I'm watching on TV. So
- 13:09Speaker 1: maybe the competition and the competition is higher, and well,
- 13:14Speaker 1: the competition is certainly higher when it comes to reality TV.
- 13:17Speaker 1: But then like our our attention spans are just shorter.
- 13:21Speaker 1: It could be that too. I think it's a mixture
- 13:23Speaker 1: of everything you're saying. I don't think anything you're saying
- 13:25Speaker 1: is not true. So, um, we hope to see a
- 13:28Speaker 1: resurgence again. Um. Something will be following now. Though. The
- 13:32Speaker 1: big question is it will the show be canceled before
- 13:35Speaker 1: it can become cyclical again? And if so, what does
- 13:38Speaker 1: that look like? We'll go away forever. Will somebody else
- 13:41Speaker 1: buy it and take it over? Yeah, my guests and
- 13:46Speaker 1: I know we're just like being doomsday here, but my
- 13:49Speaker 1: guess would be that it would take a little hiatus
- 13:51Speaker 1: and then be bought by another company and rebooted like
- 13:54Speaker 1: an American Idol. American Idol. We'll see. It's all. It's
- 13:58Speaker 1: all interesting. Those conversations going to start happening. They're gonna
- 14:01Speaker 1: start happening very soon, um, and we'll be following it
- 14:06Speaker 1: trying to give the most insight we can. I think
- 14:10Speaker 1: there'll be more seasons at The Bachelor. Quite frankly, I
- 14:12Speaker 1: don't think it's gonna be canceled yet, but I do
- 14:14Speaker 1: think it needs a resurgence. So it's gonna be interesting
- 14:18Speaker 1: for me to watch what the show does. Knowing it
- 14:21Speaker 1: needs a resurgence. How will it change, how will it evolve,
- 14:24Speaker 1: and how will it adapt to this growing need for
- 14:27Speaker 1: it to do something to bring in new viewers. That's
- 14:30Speaker 1: something yet to be seen. I'm going to post on Instagram,
- 14:35Speaker 1: Like today, I'm gonna say, what do you need from
- 14:37Speaker 1: The Bachelor to continue watching it? Or what does it
- 14:40Speaker 1: need to give give it a boost? Everybody's Yeah. I
- 14:44Speaker 1: want to see everybody's responses, thank you, and then we'll
- 14:47Speaker 1: read them on the show. It's the best way because email,
- 14:49Speaker 1: you know, I know, email takes a lot of effort
- 14:51Speaker 1: from you guys. A little drop at Ashley's inbox. Nothing
- 14:56Speaker 1: emails a new stam mill. Okay, Ashley, we have episode
- 14:59Speaker 1: three two reek hat Uh, there's a lot to talk
- 15:01Speaker 1: about in terms of how you felt about the show.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I know that we both felt like the content of
- 15:06Speaker 1: the show really didn't pick up until the end. Um.
- 15:10Speaker 1: The end of the show really was the climax of
- 15:12Speaker 1: the show, and so it left us maybe hopefully, um
- 15:17Speaker 1: if we're hoping for the best, excited for episode four
- 15:21Speaker 1: to continue the storylines that are already existing. But we're
- 15:24Speaker 1: gonna talk about all this right after this break. Sean
- 15:37Speaker 1: is back. So Sean Lowe seems to be the wise
- 15:40Speaker 1: counsel um this season. To Zach, A couple of questions
- 15:45Speaker 1: for you, Ashley, if you know them. Sean obviously is
- 15:48Speaker 1: a is is maybe and probably the most popular Bachelor
- 15:53Speaker 1: of all time. He was a part of that resurgence effort.
- 15:56Speaker 1: We've seen him on multiple seasons coming back to the
- 16:01Speaker 1: show and being asked to be a part of the show.
- 16:04Speaker 1: That's an honor, I think when you're asked, because it
- 16:07Speaker 1: means the show, UM believes that you are worth it.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I've been asking years, So UM, stop that now. And
- 16:15Speaker 1: plus I'm gonna go like back and it'll be like
- 16:17Speaker 1: last year. Yeah. Um. Anyways, Zack is talking to Sean
- 16:22Speaker 1: this season. We've seen it now twice. Do they have
- 16:25Speaker 1: a relate? Did I miss this? Is there a relationship
- 16:27Speaker 1: with the two of them before the show? Do you
- 16:29Speaker 1: think the show sees a lot of Sean and Zack?
- 16:33Speaker 1: Is that who they're trying to make Zack b is
- 16:36Speaker 1: the is the Sean? Um? Help me make sense of
- 16:40Speaker 1: why this was such a it has been such a
- 16:43Speaker 1: consistent story, Ben, I was a really concerned for the
- 16:49Speaker 1: show in this moment, like really like because the WiFi
- 16:53Speaker 1: was a help. That was a little glitch. And I
- 17:01Speaker 1: know that we've been I feel bad, you know, I
- 17:03Speaker 1: really do feel bad. We've been talking about just the
- 17:05Speaker 1: slacking of the show. This entire episode like twenty minutes
- 17:09Speaker 1: so far and now here you bring up this point
- 17:12Speaker 1: and this moment was it was It was just like
- 17:15Speaker 1: a pin point of the issues. It was the most
- 17:20Speaker 1: pointless thing I've ever seen in my life. He goes,
- 17:23Speaker 1: doesn't he say something like, um, I'm going I'm going
- 17:27Speaker 1: to like FaceTime Sean because he's like full of advice
- 17:30Speaker 1: and he's like a good guy for me or something
- 17:32Speaker 1: along his lines. And then all he does is he
- 17:34Speaker 1: gets on FaceTime and he's like, hey, Sean, and then
- 17:38Speaker 1: they're like, hey, Zach, what's up here? The kids? Yeah,
- 17:42Speaker 1: no advice, there was nothing. There was thirty seconds of
- 17:46Speaker 1: the two of them basically exchanging pleasantries on a screen.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It was whacky. It wasn't cut out. Yeah, So, I mean,
- 17:55Speaker 1: I know the rumor was they cut out a date
- 17:57Speaker 1: with Zach's uncle. Who really yeah? Last episode? Yeah? Last episode?
- 18:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Well they definitely, you know, they cut out
- 18:05Speaker 1: a part of the they cut out a part of
- 18:07Speaker 1: the date in the last episode. But definitely, I for
- 18:09Speaker 1: didn't know it was the uncle, So why was this
- 18:12Speaker 1: not cut out? Like as a viewer, Ashley and and again,
- 18:16Speaker 1: I want to try to come into this because we
- 18:17Speaker 1: can get very cynical and very critical of this show
- 18:21Speaker 1: as of your what are you thinking that the show
- 18:23Speaker 1: wanted us to get out of this moment just the
- 18:25Speaker 1: fact that Zack and and Sean are tight and so
- 18:29Speaker 1: give Zach more respect, they're actually tight well, but but
- 18:33Speaker 1: they obviously want us to believe that they want us
- 18:36Speaker 1: to think we're going back to the golden era of
- 18:39Speaker 1: Shan Low, and like everybody thinks that Shan Low is
- 18:41Speaker 1: supposed to be the bachelor that was there for the
- 18:44Speaker 1: right reasons, even though he wrote a book that was
- 18:47Speaker 1: it was it called Here for the Right Reasons. Yeah,
- 18:51Speaker 1: everybody thinks even though in the book he says he
- 18:53Speaker 1: really wasn't there for the right reasons. So everybody looks
- 18:57Speaker 1: to show Sean like that. So I think they're trying
- 18:59Speaker 1: to like just lamb in our brains that this guy
- 19:01Speaker 1: Zach is also here for the right reasons and we
- 19:04Speaker 1: want this hap to happen exactly to him with this
- 19:07Speaker 1: wife and kids for the past ten years. And that's
- 19:12Speaker 1: what Jared. Jared was like, he watched two seconds of
- 19:15Speaker 1: this episode, but he was like, I feel like they're
- 19:17Speaker 1: just trying They're just like slapping us over the head.
- 19:21Speaker 1: With Zach is supposed to be wonderful. Zach supposed to
- 19:24Speaker 1: be hot. Believe Zack's hot. It's like, well, we don't
- 19:26Speaker 1: think he is, but they're just trying to like pound
- 19:28Speaker 1: it in our heads. Yeah, I mean, and to give
- 19:32Speaker 1: Zach credit because I've never met the guy, Like, I
- 19:34Speaker 1: don't dislike the man. He seems like he would be
- 19:37Speaker 1: a great dude to hang out with, right, I don't
- 19:40Speaker 1: know if he's the best lead and the best person
- 19:43Speaker 1: to have on camera every week. Uh, that's still yet
- 19:46Speaker 1: to be seen. We're only three episodes into this. I
- 19:48Speaker 1: think he could be really good at this. I think
- 19:50Speaker 1: he's probably a very nice human. Um, But at this point,
- 19:54Speaker 1: I'm not convinced that he is the best lead they
- 19:55Speaker 1: could have chosen. In fact, I would argue, probably right now,
- 19:58Speaker 1: that there's some people out there with better personalities that
- 20:02Speaker 1: would still be there for similar reasons. Does anybody does
- 20:04Speaker 1: any viewer gives? Is anybody criticizing Zach for not being
- 20:07Speaker 1: there for the right reasons? Like, isn't that already been proven?
- 20:10Speaker 1: Like no, Like, they don't need to prove that to me. Yeah, Like,
- 20:14Speaker 1: I'm sure Zack's there for the right reasons. I'm sure
- 20:17Speaker 1: he's very excited about this opportunity to date so many wonderful,
- 20:20Speaker 1: beautiful people in one place. Yeah, I don't think this
- 20:24Speaker 1: guy is trying to be famous after this show, because
- 20:28Speaker 1: I don't think he wants to go into acting, modeling, influencing.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I don't see this in this guy's life plan. And
- 20:35Speaker 1: I don't think like he thinks that he's fit for
- 20:38Speaker 1: those careers either. No, So, like, you can stop with
- 20:41Speaker 1: the proving to me that Zach is the perfect man. No,
- 20:45Speaker 1: nobody's perfect, Okay, So that's just and I wasn't And
- 20:50Speaker 1: that's why already got mad at me, because they were like, well,
- 20:52Speaker 1: he's supposed to be perfect and he failed at that.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, no, yeah, of course I did. Um,
- 20:58Speaker 1: nobody's perfect, but he came for the right reasons. Like,
- 21:02Speaker 1: can we just now move on from the idea that
- 21:04Speaker 1: Zach Zach is Like fine, dude, I think and I
- 21:08Speaker 1: think he's gonna be very nice through this process. But
- 21:10Speaker 1: is he gonna be a good lead That still yet
- 21:12Speaker 1: to be seen. But if that was the point of
- 21:15Speaker 1: this FaceTime with Sean is to prove that Zach is
- 21:18Speaker 1: there for the right reasons and he is taking wise
- 21:20Speaker 1: counsel for somebody that was there for the right reasons. Okay, cool, Okay,
- 21:26Speaker 1: we're good. Thanks. Also, we don't need to see his
- 21:29Speaker 1: legs in the shower, Ben, Ben, I know that we're
- 21:35Speaker 1: used to shower scenes with bachelor's for some reason, it
- 21:38Speaker 1: also feels awkward with Zach because you know, he is
- 21:41Speaker 1: there for the right reasons. Don't all a big model dude,
- 21:44Speaker 1: And didn't they say that like you never got shower
- 21:46Speaker 1: scenes because he felt like you didn't and it wasn't
- 21:48Speaker 1: appropriate for you. Yeah, I got like one shower scene.
- 21:51Speaker 1: There is one shower scene, and it felt weird. It
- 21:54Speaker 1: felt weird for everybody I think in the room because
- 21:56Speaker 1: they're like, this isn't Ben, Like this is not like
- 21:59Speaker 1: nobody hears goring to prove that Ben is the hottest,
- 22:02Speaker 1: most yeah, most muscular, like ripped dude. Just rubbing his
- 22:06Speaker 1: chest was soap and that, oh my gosh, if we
- 22:08Speaker 1: can only get a peek at what's underneath, Like nobody
- 22:11Speaker 1: thought that about me. And I'm really cool with really
- 22:14Speaker 1: good with this farmer body was so good at it.
- 22:17Speaker 1: He was just like that hunky midwestern body who, like
- 22:21Speaker 1: you know, he's he's harvesting corn. It really worked for him,
- 22:25Speaker 1: and it worked for Nick, who has like that washboard body.
- 22:29Speaker 1: We don't need it for Zack. And it was very
- 22:31Speaker 1: odd for them to show his legs in the shower
- 22:34Speaker 1: like super weird. I don't think we've anybody around to
- 22:37Speaker 1: close up of anybody's lack. No, I mean, I know
- 22:40Speaker 1: who you are, right, like, hey, I know why I
- 22:43Speaker 1: was there. I know who I thought I could be
- 22:45Speaker 1: to somebody in that house. I know that I was
- 22:48Speaker 1: there hoping to find my for forever person I didn't
- 22:51Speaker 1: right in My life is amazing today. I'm very excited
- 22:54Speaker 1: about where this all turned out for me. But I
- 22:57Speaker 1: know I also wasn't there to be the hottest bachelor
- 22:59Speaker 1: that's ever existed, that women all over America could be like,
- 23:02Speaker 1: oh my gosh, if I just saw that shower scene
- 23:05Speaker 1: with Ben, my life would be made. Nobody thought that,
- 23:08Speaker 1: and that's okay with me, Like, I'm really good with that,
- 23:11Speaker 1: and that's why you don't see it, and so know
- 23:13Speaker 1: who you are as a lead. I think the show
- 23:14Speaker 1: needs to know who Zach is as a lead. Just
- 23:17Speaker 1: throw him in a suit, like you know, let him
- 23:19Speaker 1: sit down and have those really intentional conversations and be there,
- 23:23Speaker 1: you know, give it as all. That's all we need
- 23:25Speaker 1: from Zach. We don't need much more. Yeah, all right,
- 23:29Speaker 1: well let's get into the dates. Let's see. So there's
- 23:33Speaker 1: gonna be one big group date and then there's two
- 23:36Speaker 1: one on ones. Katie goes on the first one on
- 23:39Speaker 1: one and they basically go to night at the Museum,
- 23:45Speaker 1: which is cool for her. It's sad because she says
- 23:47Speaker 1: it's the most romantic moment she's ever had of her life.
- 23:49Speaker 1: She said she's never really had a romantic moment of
- 23:51Speaker 1: all of her life. But she seems to genuinely like Zach.
- 23:56Speaker 1: So that's nice. It is nice. It is good to
- 23:59Speaker 1: see this. She looks beautiful. Um, the women do support her. Well.
- 24:04Speaker 1: It looks like when she comes down, like they fire
- 24:06Speaker 1: her up, which is cool to see. You don't, I mean,
- 24:09Speaker 1: there's you know that option or you just hate on
- 24:11Speaker 1: every person that ever goes on a date, and that's
- 24:13Speaker 1: gonna make a miserable experience. So it's cool to see that.
- 24:15Speaker 1: It's really exciting to see these women support each other. Um,
- 24:19Speaker 1: I thought this would be a I think this would
- 24:21Speaker 1: be a fun date. Right, you get night at the museum.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You get a museum just to the two of you.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I like museums. I like to read the plaques. I
- 24:28Speaker 1: don't think the show probably would have given the time
- 24:30Speaker 1: for them to just sit there and read the plaques,
- 24:31Speaker 1: so that would have been frustrating. Um. But it's a
- 24:35Speaker 1: sweet date. And she does seem excited. She seems very
- 24:38Speaker 1: interested in Zach and I and beyond all else, I
- 24:42Speaker 1: am glad that we see somebody excited about the lead here.
- 24:47Speaker 1: It feels good to watch very well. Put Now, the
- 24:53Speaker 1: twist in this is that she asked her to spend
- 24:58Speaker 1: the night to together. Now, it's not a whole fantasy
- 25:03Speaker 1: suite she bang. He doesn't say that we're going big. Um.
- 25:14Speaker 1: They don't say anything along the lines of like we're
- 25:15Speaker 1: going to have private time, there's gonna be no cameras,
- 25:18Speaker 1: it's going to know each other. But it's like not
- 25:20Speaker 1: like alluding to anything sexy. It's a tent and there's
- 25:26Speaker 1: some satin or silk pajamas and there are two twin beds,
- 25:31Speaker 1: so they're obviously trying to allude to the fact that, like,
- 25:34Speaker 1: it's a nice overnight, but it's not supposed to be
- 25:37Speaker 1: a share of the bed type overnight, and we even
- 25:40Speaker 1: see Zach be like, let's push this bed a little
- 25:43Speaker 1: bit closer. But it's not like he completely conjoins the beds,
- 25:46Speaker 1: just like, Okay, we can get a little bit cozier here.
- 25:48Speaker 1: And I think everybody knows that it was innocent and
- 25:51Speaker 1: they probably did just talk all night. Another thing worth
- 25:55Speaker 1: mentioning is we just didn't need to see Zak and
- 26:00Speaker 1: satin pajamas because the girls talk at the end of
- 26:03Speaker 1: the episode as to what gives them an ick, and
- 26:07Speaker 1: I gotta say, not just sack, but any man that
- 26:10Speaker 1: you're going on a first overnight with wearing satin pajamas
- 26:15Speaker 1: is probably certainly going to give you an ick. Yeah. Now,
- 26:18Speaker 1: I I held out on my satin onesie for Jess
- 26:22Speaker 1: until we got married. I was like, you're already in it,
- 26:24Speaker 1: like this is I'm sorry, but this thing is coming
- 26:27Speaker 1: on now. And I waited this long for it because, yes,
- 26:31Speaker 1: it would be interesting. I people were critical of the
- 26:36Speaker 1: fact that they're spending the night together on their first date.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'm with you, Yeah, this is an expedited experience. I
- 26:44Speaker 1: don't think I necessarily had as big of an issue
- 26:46Speaker 1: with them staying together, because I do think that's a
- 26:50Speaker 1: good opportunity to get to know each other more. Um,
- 26:54Speaker 1: it was two different twin beds, and so the at
- 26:57Speaker 1: least they're trying to tell us that nothing happened when
- 26:59Speaker 1: the tin closed. Who knows. I mean, that's not my business.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Uh I am interested. What I thought of when I
- 27:08Speaker 1: saw this was that I expected Zack to be more
- 27:12Speaker 1: hesitant physically. Uh. I thought he would be kind of
- 27:17Speaker 1: more of on the lines of the batchelor that took
- 27:19Speaker 1: his time, you know, getting to know these women before
- 27:22Speaker 1: any physical uh ness came out. Well, we're seeing so
- 27:27Speaker 1: far with three episodes in this season, is Zach might
- 27:29Speaker 1: be the most physically forward like asking for time and
- 27:33Speaker 1: kisses and and hu and like romance then we've ever
- 27:38Speaker 1: seen you have a ben. It goes back to what
- 27:41Speaker 1: you were saying in the first episode. It's definitely because
- 27:44Speaker 1: he doesn't know what to say. I hope not. I
- 27:47Speaker 1: hope not. But that's that's one of my biggest frustrations
- 27:51Speaker 1: when they pick a lead who doesn't know how to
- 27:53Speaker 1: carry a conversation or to ask questions that are intriguing
- 27:56Speaker 1: and interesting, and that gets the heart of the people involved.
- 27:59Speaker 1: But yes, that is a concern always is uh? And
- 28:03Speaker 1: right now, the physical connections that he's trying to make
- 28:08Speaker 1: seem to outweigh the connections you know, emotionally and spiritually
- 28:14Speaker 1: and intimately when it comes to how he's getting to
- 28:16Speaker 1: know these women. M hm. And not as if it's
- 28:20Speaker 1: not obvious, we know that this was all planned because
- 28:24Speaker 1: there was no date time portion of the date, so
- 28:26Speaker 1: obviously to extend the date, they were going to make
- 28:28Speaker 1: it overnight. And the reason that they would make it
- 28:30Speaker 1: overnight is to ruffle the feathers of all the ladies.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Another just assumption on my part. I feel evil, But
- 28:40Speaker 1: maybe these girls aren't necessarily as riled up and obsessed
- 28:45Speaker 1: with the bachelor as they normally are right off the bat,
- 28:49Speaker 1: And what better way than to get them feeling a
- 28:52Speaker 1: little possessive than to have a girl have an overnight
- 28:56Speaker 1: right away. Yeah, I think there's a few. I think
- 28:58Speaker 1: there's a few that we could point out that would say, hey,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you know, we feel like they're really into Zach and
- 29:02Speaker 1: they really want to make this work. And is it
- 29:05Speaker 1: a consensus, Like is the whole room kind of feeling like, hey,
- 29:08Speaker 1: this could be my man now? I don't think so,
- 29:10Speaker 1: And I think I would say this with um referencing
- 29:16Speaker 1: the people that went home on week three, that makes
- 29:19Speaker 1: sense ruffer, like did any of them see that seem
- 29:24Speaker 1: out that upset? Like, did any of them seem like,
- 29:27Speaker 1: oh my gosh, their husband just got rid from their hands?
- 29:29Speaker 1: Christina a little bit, but I think Christina will definitely
- 29:34Speaker 1: get on that airplane and be like, I can't get
- 29:36Speaker 1: someone else. Yeah, yeah, I don't. I don't know if
- 29:40Speaker 1: right now. I mean, I think towards the end we're
- 29:42Speaker 1: gonna see the people hopefully stay that are really into Zack,
- 29:45Speaker 1: But I don't know if right now that's a consensus
- 29:47Speaker 1: in the house. I think they're having a lot of
- 29:49Speaker 1: fun together and they're interested in in the Bachelor. I
- 29:53Speaker 1: don't know if they're like running full force that this
- 29:56Speaker 1: could be their man. So strange how many times Okay,
- 30:01Speaker 1: there's only two references, but still it's a lot of
- 30:04Speaker 1: the girls in the house being like best friends after
- 30:07Speaker 1: being together for seven days. It's okay, we're being a
- 30:09Speaker 1: little dramatic right now. But yeah, it happens every season, though,
- 30:12Speaker 1: doesn't it. I mean, isn't that every season where like
- 30:16Speaker 1: where everybody in the house is so close. There's been
- 30:18Speaker 1: our best friends know each other for seven days. Yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 1: that that that will go away. There's gonna be some
- 30:25Speaker 1: episode where the whole all the girls just like go.
- 30:28Speaker 1: You know, it just happens in that house. Like there's
- 30:30Speaker 1: gonna be drama that exists. There has to be drama
- 30:33Speaker 1: that exists, Amongs amongst the contestants. Actually, we're gonna have
- 30:35Speaker 1: no drama this season. Also, your best friend at home
- 30:40Speaker 1: is offended that you're saying this, Okay, let's go to
- 30:45Speaker 1: the group date. Ben, it's a football date again. And
- 30:49Speaker 1: I'm telling you how how I was stopped at right
- 30:54Speaker 1: tracks when I saw that we were doing another fad?
- 30:59Speaker 1: Why do we? And then I realized it was a trend.
- 31:02Speaker 1: So they're trying to purposely do it. They love the
- 31:05Speaker 1: football day, and they're going to continue to do it.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Apparently we've done it for like five straight seasons now.
- 31:10Speaker 1: There are people in charge of the show who are
- 31:12Speaker 1: very big football fans, So I think that's one thing.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I think the second is Zack did play college football
- 31:17Speaker 1: and so that's another thing that he can relate with.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Right here, Um, I don't know. I don't like these
- 31:22Speaker 1: dates I think getting people just to hit each other
- 31:25Speaker 1: when they're not used to hitting each other, and sprinting
- 31:28Speaker 1: up and down when they've been drinking and sitting in
- 31:30Speaker 1: a mansion for now seven days feels very odd. And
- 31:35Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of romance comes from this, um,
- 31:39Speaker 1: but I think beyond anything else, I did think they
- 31:41Speaker 1: show did a good job with the names. I mean,
- 31:43Speaker 1: ball zacks and Zack is is Jared's fantasy name. It's
- 31:49Speaker 1: my ball. Zach hurts, my ball, Zach hurts, you know,
- 31:52Speaker 1: like Zach hurts. Yeah, I think it's uh. I think
- 31:55Speaker 1: that was good. I mean, that made me laugh at
- 31:57Speaker 1: that got me involved, But then I just kind of
- 32:00Speaker 1: two now. I mean, if you ask me what happened
- 32:02Speaker 1: or um, like who won, I'm not there. I've lost myself. Well,
- 32:10Speaker 1: I really I tried not to have my phone on
- 32:12Speaker 1: me during this entire episode. I did crack once we
- 32:15Speaker 1: got to the second one on one, but I was
- 32:17Speaker 1: really trying to watch just completely straight to finish, and
- 32:21Speaker 1: I was I was just shocked at how long we
- 32:25Speaker 1: watched these girls play football A long time again, I
- 32:29Speaker 1: was like, do we not have other content to be showing?
- 32:32Speaker 1: Like we could have made this maybe a d montage.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I just can't envision actually any fan or viewer of
- 32:40Speaker 1: this show at any level sitting there going, oh my gosh,
- 32:43Speaker 1: I can't wait to see who wins. Like I want
- 32:45Speaker 1: to see these women play football, I mean as a
- 32:49Speaker 1: day and as like a fun experience for them to
- 32:51Speaker 1: talk about. Great, but we did not need it as
- 32:53Speaker 1: long as we did because viewership at home had there
- 32:56Speaker 1: might be in somebody, please tell me if you were
- 32:58Speaker 1: at home really rude for one team or the other.
- 33:02Speaker 1: But I don't think that's happening. I cannot see it
- 33:05Speaker 1: happening for me. I'm like, oh football, I could be
- 33:10Speaker 1: watching Joe Burrow thirst Traps right now. Let's scrab my phone. Okay,
- 33:16Speaker 1: but we um, we do have this football game. It's
- 33:19Speaker 1: very long. We we are sad for them because the
- 33:23Speaker 1: other girls from other seasons got to go and play
- 33:27Speaker 1: at professional stadiums and then they're at a high school
- 33:30Speaker 1: football field. Bummer budget cuts as I know. Okay, Okay,
- 33:38Speaker 1: this is like and I are so bad. No, I mean,
- 33:42Speaker 1: I think it's very true. I don't think any I
- 33:44Speaker 1: don't think anything I'm saying is not right. I mean,
- 33:46Speaker 1: I think they could probably still get in a sofi
- 33:49Speaker 1: uh and still do that whole thing. I don't think
- 33:50Speaker 1: that's a problem for them. But it is weird to
- 33:53Speaker 1: see him at a high school stadium. But at the
- 33:55Speaker 1: same time, it is relating a little bit more convenient.
- 33:58Speaker 1: You know that was right down the street. Know that's
- 34:00Speaker 1: a UM, that's like a Calabasas. Yeah, it's right there. Yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 1: and Zach played college football, UM for a great university,
- 34:10Speaker 1: but it's a smaller school, and so maybe this is
- 34:11Speaker 1: a little bit relating to his football experience that he
- 34:14Speaker 1: never got to play in the big arena you get
- 34:16Speaker 1: to play. He grinded it out on the high school
- 34:20Speaker 1: in college. They're making it relatable for Zach. Alright, the
- 34:24Speaker 1: only girl that I really remember playing football is Christina,
- 34:28Speaker 1: and Christina is a huge part of this episode. At
- 34:32Speaker 1: the nighttime portion of this group date, you can tell
- 34:36Speaker 1: she is She has drunk off or asked people. She
- 34:39Speaker 1: is a tipsy queen. She kind of keeps relating to
- 34:47Speaker 1: like her last week date, which is her one on
- 34:49Speaker 1: one with Zach, and tells all the girls like, oh yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 1: well you would if you knew this, you would know
- 34:56Speaker 1: this about Zach. You would feel this more of a
- 34:58Speaker 1: connection if you have been on a one on one
- 35:01Speaker 1: like I did. And the girls are getting really annoyed
- 35:06Speaker 1: by this behavior. It's annoying. Is it evil? No, It's
- 35:09Speaker 1: like this girl is just like being dumb. She's drunk
- 35:14Speaker 1: and reminiscing on her date from last week. But the
- 35:18Speaker 1: girls are like, you know, they're just they're just there.
- 35:22Speaker 1: They have to find something to be annoyed at, and
- 35:24Speaker 1: that's going to be her. Meanwhile, Bailey is having a
- 35:30Speaker 1: convo with Zach where she's like, I feel like the
- 35:33Speaker 1: spark that we may have had, like the first time
- 35:35Speaker 1: we met, is gone, and then she says she's looking
- 35:39Speaker 1: for reassurance in that moment. But then Zack comes back
- 35:43Speaker 1: and he's like, you know what, me too, I don't
- 35:45Speaker 1: really feel the spark anymore. And instead of being like,
- 35:49Speaker 1: let's see if we can get to know each other
- 35:51Speaker 1: and reinvigorate it, he they say, let's resume the conversation
- 35:55Speaker 1: a little bit because they're interrupted, and then they do
- 35:58Speaker 1: have another moment to talk about it, and he basically
- 36:01Speaker 1: just eliminates her right then she's very shocked. The girls
- 36:06Speaker 1: are shocked. Ben, you are you know her? Uh, Jess's
- 36:10Speaker 1: friends with her from Tennessee. I got to know what
- 36:14Speaker 1: you heard from her when you got back. When she
- 36:17Speaker 1: got back, well, I mean I think it was time.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I do. I don't really even like week three, like
- 36:22Speaker 1: you can't take her a little bit further. Well, I
- 36:24Speaker 1: think he should have. Bailey is great. Yeah, like I
- 36:26Speaker 1: think I think he should have. I think he should
- 36:28Speaker 1: have pursued whatever could have been there. I mean, there's
- 36:32Speaker 1: no doubt that she should be there for five, six,
- 36:34Speaker 1: seven weeks. Um maybe didn't make need to make it
- 36:38Speaker 1: the hometowns because if the sparks not there, it's not
- 36:40Speaker 1: going to happen. I'm oh, yeah, But if I was Zach,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I would have said, hey, this is an awesome person,
- 36:46Speaker 1: and she's beautiful and she's kind, and the girls like her,
- 36:50Speaker 1: and she seems to be getting along here pretty well. Yeah,
- 36:53Speaker 1: maybe that spark at the beginning is gone, but we're
- 36:55Speaker 1: you know, it's been a week and there's a lot
- 36:57Speaker 1: going on, and maybe I just keep her around to
- 36:59Speaker 1: see something can come back. I I'm confused at what
- 37:02Speaker 1: Zack's decision making was here, but I also have a
- 37:06Speaker 1: little bit of personal interest in it, and so I
- 37:07Speaker 1: was like Okay, Zack. I mean, that's cool. If you
- 37:10Speaker 1: want to throw somebody, you know, she'll be better off.
- 37:12Speaker 1: She'll go to paradise, she'll be fine. I hope, I
- 37:15Speaker 1: hope she does. Christina says something about her elimination in
- 37:29Speaker 1: front of the girls. She guess, Wow, she was my roommate,
- 37:33Speaker 1: but that was inevitable, and now everybody's really annoyed her.
- 37:36Speaker 1: But I kindn't think it's funny. She's like, I'm being honest.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I'm just being honest, and these girls don't like it,
- 37:43Speaker 1: and it's kind of true. Sure, yeah, you know, it's
- 37:46Speaker 1: like sort I mean, yes, she has no filter. Most
- 37:49Speaker 1: of us wouldn't say anything like that. But it goes
- 37:52Speaker 1: back to how I had a rant on my season
- 37:56Speaker 1: and I was like, wait, why are you guys so
- 37:58Speaker 1: sad about other people thing? And why are you so
- 38:01Speaker 1: sad about Why are you so happy and excited when
- 38:04Speaker 1: other people get a date? That's so fake of you
- 38:06Speaker 1: or not actually that good of people. Sure, but I
- 38:10Speaker 1: remember when Jared got his first date. I was pumped
- 38:12Speaker 1: form I loved Jared. I wanted to see him first.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Yeah I did, exactly I did. But if you hadn't,
- 38:21Speaker 1: you probably wouldn't have, because after you have your date,
- 38:24Speaker 1: then you feel like you can just like rest easy
- 38:27Speaker 1: and kind of be happy for the people for a while. Yeah,
- 38:29Speaker 1: I mean I was excited that he was getting in
- 38:31Speaker 1: saying Christina already had her date because she should be
- 38:33Speaker 1: in this. Yeah, she should be a little bit more
- 38:35Speaker 1: generous right now. Okay, fine, you're probably right. So I
- 38:38Speaker 1: note Christina was uh the most followed person on the
- 38:43Speaker 1: show going into this episode, even above Zach by a lot.
- 38:46Speaker 1: Um so a fan favorite you could say, or some
- 38:49Speaker 1: of the fans knew the most. I just knew the
- 38:52Speaker 1: most of or we're following the most. Um did get
- 38:55Speaker 1: eliminated in week three. That's a little surprising. She's a
- 38:59Speaker 1: content creator, though she like has been trying to build
- 39:01Speaker 1: this following for a while. She has like a hundred
- 39:04Speaker 1: thousand on TikTok. She has more than Jared and I
- 39:06Speaker 1: have on TikTok. That means like she really has been
- 39:08Speaker 1: trying to grind at it. She works hard at it. Uh.
- 39:11Speaker 1: So far, what we've seen in a trend with Zach
- 39:14Speaker 1: wanted to continue as a lead is when women confront
- 39:17Speaker 1: him about feeling a distance or a disconnect. Um he
- 39:22Speaker 1: doesn't and hasn't responded with yes, let's try to make
- 39:25Speaker 1: it work. And he must be giving very clear signals
- 39:28Speaker 1: to these women that hey, I'm not interested in you.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Maybe we're not seeing it on the show, but they
- 39:32Speaker 1: obviously are feeling enough to say, uh, there's something happening here, Zach.
- 39:36Speaker 1: You're not interested in me? Is it worth me being around?
- 39:39Speaker 1: And that's interesting just to watch the season plays out.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Is how clear is he on who he likes and
- 39:45Speaker 1: who he doesn't like? Oh, it's obvious for us watching,
- 39:48Speaker 1: you know, like we all knew that he was very
- 39:50Speaker 1: disinterested in Bailey for some reason. He doesn't even look around.
- 39:55Speaker 1: He wasn't even looking her in the eye that last week.
- 39:58Speaker 1: It's like his body language is very off, like he's
- 40:02Speaker 1: just not a good actor, or he doesn't intend. Well,
- 40:04Speaker 1: I guess he just you know, he's there for the
- 40:06Speaker 1: right reasons. He doesn't intend to act at all. I
- 40:08Speaker 1: gotta finish up with the group date though, because when
- 40:13Speaker 1: he gives charity the group date Rose, Christina keeps saying
- 40:17Speaker 1: she's confused, did I do something wrong? And I don't
- 40:22Speaker 1: want to keep in sitting when the girls drunk? But
- 40:24Speaker 1: this is some drunk dialogue and then she says, I
- 40:28Speaker 1: just wish it was me, duh, And it's like, yeah,
- 40:31Speaker 1: of course you wish it was you. She's just she's
- 40:34Speaker 1: just drunking girl, and she's saying the things that she's
- 40:38Speaker 1: thinking in her head out loud. The girls are like,
- 40:41Speaker 1: you know, you are always making things about you and
- 40:45Speaker 1: I can see that as very annoying, and she she does.
- 40:49Speaker 1: She just has no filter. She just is saying what
- 40:52Speaker 1: basically everybody there is thinking, and that's somehow annoying. I'm
- 40:56Speaker 1: not trying to defend her, but I think we all think, like,
- 40:59Speaker 1: not as nice thoughts while you're like, get it, while
- 41:02Speaker 1: you're not receiving roses, then we like to put out
- 41:06Speaker 1: there and having no filter. Being honest, some would call
- 41:10Speaker 1: it um is one thing. Being wise, and how you're
- 41:15Speaker 1: affecting the people around you as a whole another thing.
- 41:17Speaker 1: And so the issue is with is what I'm saying
- 41:23Speaker 1: helping or hurting? And why am I saying what I'm saying?
- 41:26Speaker 1: Is it making people feel better or worse? Yes, we
- 41:29Speaker 1: all have critical thoughts, and but like you sift through
- 41:32Speaker 1: that to speak wisdom in the right situation, and if
- 41:35Speaker 1: the times appropriate, and you have the opportunity or ability
- 41:38Speaker 1: to be honest. Great, but just doing it all the
- 41:42Speaker 1: time ends up just hurting everybody around you. So well,
- 41:46Speaker 1: put Betton, thank you for for saying that exactly. Like,
- 41:50Speaker 1: there's a reason that we don't say everything that we think,
- 41:53Speaker 1: and that is because we try to be kind of people,
- 41:56Speaker 1: slow to speak, quick to listen. There you go, such
- 42:00Speaker 1: a good one, Such a good one. Meanwhile, back at
- 42:03Speaker 1: the house, the final dick card of the week arrives
- 42:07Speaker 1: for Ali and how does it get to her? In
- 42:12Speaker 1: the in the form of a wedding dress box, in
- 42:15Speaker 1: which I rolled my eye so back. I rolled my
- 42:19Speaker 1: eyes so far back in my head. There's another wedding dress.
- 42:23Speaker 1: We're doing another wedding dress theme. Come on, the fans
- 42:27Speaker 1: love it, Ashley. I mean it's a fan favor. You
- 42:30Speaker 1: get a bunch of people in a wedding dress and
- 42:33Speaker 1: his suit and a talks and everybody goes, oh, this
- 42:36Speaker 1: is so fun to watch. A great content here. Well,
- 42:39Speaker 1: we have to give them a little credit. This one's
- 42:41Speaker 1: not a real wedding dress. It's a wedding pants suit
- 42:44Speaker 1: with a cape. So it is. It is a step up.
- 42:48Speaker 1: It's way more modern and they're going to jump out
- 42:51Speaker 1: of a plane with her in this outfit and with
- 42:54Speaker 1: him in a tux tux or suit. And I was thinking, like,
- 42:59Speaker 1: what is safe d of that? I feel like? And
- 43:01Speaker 1: then what's the comfort level of that She's got sleeveless
- 43:04Speaker 1: outfit on? Have you you have never skydived? Right? Yeah?
- 43:07Speaker 1: I have no clue. I have no comment here. We
- 43:10Speaker 1: need Dean. We need Dean to say, like, how uncomfortable
- 43:13Speaker 1: it is to not have sleeves well skydiving. I bet
- 43:17Speaker 1: it's not that bad. I've seen people do it shirtless thing.
- 43:22Speaker 1: I don't know why I was so concerned about their attire. Well,
- 43:25Speaker 1: sky well, you're not necessarily hitting anything on your way down,
- 43:29Speaker 1: and if you do, that's a bigger problem. So okay, well,
- 43:33Speaker 1: obviously that's an exhilarating date. It's I think it's the
- 43:36Speaker 1: classic date of I think it's the the date activity
- 43:41Speaker 1: that we see pop up very rarely, like every five years.
- 43:45Speaker 1: On The Bachelor. I remember Colton doing it with Tasha.
- 43:49Speaker 1: How would you feel and getting that date card and
- 43:51Speaker 1: finding out that that's on your that's what you're doing
- 43:53Speaker 1: on your date? Because I feel like this is like
- 43:56Speaker 1: the one time where I'd be like, oh, in the
- 43:58Speaker 1: contract when I did actually sign away my life, it
- 44:01Speaker 1: could be at risk. Yeah, I don't think i'd love it.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I didn't have many dates like this, but heights and
- 44:08Speaker 1: I got lucky. My knee was still pretty bad when
- 44:11Speaker 1: I was the bachelor, and so they really protected me
- 44:12Speaker 1: on any type of extreme dates because my knee was
- 44:15Speaker 1: still giving out um often, and so I don't have
- 44:19Speaker 1: to do anything that crazy. But I don't think I
- 44:22Speaker 1: would love it because I'd be freaking out. And you
- 44:24Speaker 1: should be freaking out if it's your first time jumping
- 44:26Speaker 1: out of a plane, You're gonna be nervous, and you know,
- 44:29Speaker 1: as the lead, like protect the women and like at
- 44:33Speaker 1: that point, I'm only thinking about myself, Like I am
- 44:36Speaker 1: only thinking about how in the world I'm gonna get
- 44:37Speaker 1: myself to jump out of this plane, and what's it
- 44:39Speaker 1: gonna mean when I do. It would be a really
- 44:42Speaker 1: hard date for me to be carrying and consider it on.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I guess I would say, oh, yeah, totally, You're definitely
- 44:49Speaker 1: self centered than that. Um. But I do think that
- 44:52Speaker 1: it's a date that is hard not to bond on.
- 44:55Speaker 1: You just skydive for the first time with somebody, and
- 44:59Speaker 1: I can't imagine know what that natural high is like,
- 45:03Speaker 1: you guys have definitely you're definitely bonding with all those
- 45:06Speaker 1: chemicals running through your brain. And I also think it
- 45:09Speaker 1: makes probably for an easy dinner date conversation because you
- 45:12Speaker 1: could probably just talk about that for a while and
- 45:14Speaker 1: you're just pure, you're just black, you know, like what
- 45:20Speaker 1: you know, Like, just imagine what you feel like for
- 45:23Speaker 1: the rest of the day. Yeah, my my, yes, it
- 45:26Speaker 1: should make a very easy dinner conversation. You should got
- 45:29Speaker 1: a lot to talk about that. And then we went
- 45:32Speaker 1: up the blade and then I feel like this, and
- 45:35Speaker 1: then when the door opened, and then when then before
- 45:38Speaker 1: the parachute pulls. My My question here is, you know, yes,
- 45:43Speaker 1: you have a few bad dates. Everybody out there has
- 45:44Speaker 1: had a few bad dates where it feels like you
- 45:46Speaker 1: have nothing to talk about. Happen. It's happened to all
- 45:49Speaker 1: of us. But those are fairly rare. Like those are
- 45:53Speaker 1: they stand out to you because they happen so irregularly
- 45:57Speaker 1: in most people's lives when they're in the dating world. Yeah,
- 46:00Speaker 1: you can usually figure out something to say. Yeah, so
- 46:03Speaker 1: I yeah, Zach just should have something to talk about
- 46:07Speaker 1: like he should be really good at having conversation with
- 46:09Speaker 1: people if he's going to lead a show about dating people.
- 46:12Speaker 1: So I hope he's good at it. I don't know yet. Well,
- 46:17Speaker 1: the two of them do so good at it. They
- 46:18Speaker 1: like each other. They have a nice little date. To
- 46:21Speaker 1: Griffin Palmer singing, it just seems like a pretty easy
- 46:27Speaker 1: date that I will say that. I don't feel like
- 46:29Speaker 1: any massive sparks between them. I don't know that this
- 46:32Speaker 1: is a couple to really watch out for, but people
- 46:37Speaker 1: who like each other, and we'll see where it goes. Yeah,
- 46:40Speaker 1: it's that right now, right it could be a sneaky,
- 46:43Speaker 1: sneaky one at the end that we're like this blossomed
- 46:45Speaker 1: in week three could be could be sneaky, but right now, yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 1: I wouldn't make my top three mm hmm. And now
- 46:53Speaker 1: they have exchanged the formal you know rose ceremony cocktail
- 46:58Speaker 1: party for the class once a season pool party. So Brianna,
- 47:03Speaker 1: who we have seen just not jive with Zach at
- 47:08Speaker 1: all ever since she got America's rose back during the
- 47:12Speaker 1: after the final Rose, she keeps coming up to him
- 47:16Speaker 1: and being like sad, It's like today I had a
- 47:20Speaker 1: bad day because of this. Yesterday I had a bad
- 47:23Speaker 1: day because of that. It's like, obviously he's not going
- 47:25Speaker 1: to be into this girl who just keeps complaining about
- 47:28Speaker 1: her days here. But she does come up to him
- 47:30Speaker 1: this time and goes, I'm having a bad day because, um,
- 47:34Speaker 1: I just I'm not feeling a chemistry really with you,
- 47:38Speaker 1: and I'm feeling sad because these other girl, Christina in particular,
- 47:43Speaker 1: is making me just not feel comfortable. And we all
- 47:47Speaker 1: know from last week's episode that Brianna didn't like the
- 47:53Speaker 1: fact that Christina said you got the you got the
- 47:58Speaker 1: America's Rose are Yeah, because like you got America's Rose,
- 48:01Speaker 1: I hate you just kidding. It's like, yeah, that's kind
- 48:04Speaker 1: of like a millennial gen Z expression I hate you, Oh,
- 48:08Speaker 1: I hate you when we say that when we're jealous. Um,
- 48:10Speaker 1: that is not something to be offended by. If anything,
- 48:12Speaker 1: it is something to actually I feel kind of good about.
- 48:17Speaker 1: It means that somebody is a little envious of you,
- 48:20Speaker 1: especially in this situation. It's probably kind of a nice
- 48:23Speaker 1: thing to hear. She wasn't meaning anything bad by it,
- 48:26Speaker 1: But anyway, since Christina continues to be self centered and
- 48:30Speaker 1: be completely unfiltered, she's not just rubbing Brianna the wrong way,
- 48:33Speaker 1: but she's obviously rubbing a lot of the girls the
- 48:35Speaker 1: wrong way. But Brianna, between that quote drama and the
- 48:40Speaker 1: fact that she's just not feeling anything that's actually decides
- 48:43Speaker 1: that she's gonna leave. But of course, before she leaves,
- 48:45Speaker 1: she's gonna call out Christina, and Zach is surprised because
- 48:50Speaker 1: he obviously had a really nice one on one with
- 48:52Speaker 1: her last week. He sits down with her and she,
- 48:57Speaker 1: you know, she kind of explains what I just said,
- 49:00Speaker 1: She was didn't mean anything bad by any of this.
- 49:05Speaker 1: She is kind of confused with the girl's interpreting her
- 49:10Speaker 1: her you know, personality like this, and you know, he
- 49:15Speaker 1: kind of leaves it a little bit open ended until
- 49:17Speaker 1: the Rose ceremony, in which he illuminates her. How do
- 49:21Speaker 1: we not know when somebody really means it when they
- 49:23Speaker 1: say I hate you? Now, then it is a tone,
- 49:27Speaker 1: you know it. I don't know if somebody looked at me,
- 49:31Speaker 1: and if somebody looked at me and said, been, um,
- 49:34Speaker 1: you did this, I hate you, I'd be like, do
- 49:36Speaker 1: you really moment Fallot, but do you really hate me
- 49:38Speaker 1: for this? Like? Is that what you mean? And they
- 49:40Speaker 1: would have to explain to me no or yes they do.
- 49:43Speaker 1: But if somebody said they hated me, even in a
- 49:45Speaker 1: joking manner, I big, maybe you do a little bit.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Let's talk this out. No, come on, you've never had something.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I feel like I would say that to you too, Like,
- 49:54Speaker 1: say you, you've never said that to me, You've never
- 49:58Speaker 1: never said I can't think. I can't think of anything
- 50:00Speaker 1: that I would say that to you, But you've never
- 50:02Speaker 1: told me that. So no, I don't think i'd handle
- 50:05Speaker 1: it well. I wou at least ask for I would
- 50:07Speaker 1: ask for clarity that that expression doesn't make sense to me.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Is hey, you have all this success. I hate you.
- 50:16Speaker 1: It's like, oh my god, I hate oh my god,
- 50:18Speaker 1: I hate you. That then you might you might need
- 50:21Speaker 1: a little bit of that. Like we're jealous people. Yes, yeah,
- 50:24Speaker 1: we're envious. It is envy. It is not like we're not.
- 50:27Speaker 1: We're basically saying, yeah, I'm jealous. It's it's our way
- 50:30Speaker 1: of saying it's our we of not saying I'm jealous
- 50:34Speaker 1: of you. You know what I was saying, Oh my god,
- 50:36Speaker 1: I'm so jealous. See I would probably say that, oh
- 50:39Speaker 1: my god, I'm so jealous, which is just saying the
- 50:41Speaker 1: word as you know it is, and you're admitting to
- 50:44Speaker 1: being jealous. And I think the whole reason of saying, oh,
- 50:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna hate you so you don't actually have to
- 50:49Speaker 1: say I'm jealous. Yes, that is fair, But in this scenario,
- 50:54Speaker 1: you know what I would say if she said this
- 50:56Speaker 1: to me, is you are telling me that I got
- 51:00Speaker 1: America's rose, which means Zack didn't give me this rose.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Are you hinting at the fact that Zach really doesn't
- 51:06Speaker 1: like me and I'm only here because America asked me
- 51:10Speaker 1: to be here. That would be how I followed this conversation,
- 51:13Speaker 1: because what you're saying is a little bit hurtful because
- 51:16Speaker 1: you're pointing out that that first rose was not up
- 51:19Speaker 1: to the lead of the show. It was up to
- 51:20Speaker 1: America to vote upon, which is a very nice gesture
- 51:23Speaker 1: to get that rose. Brianna was probably a little insecure
- 51:26Speaker 1: because of that. You know, we think that we put
- 51:29Speaker 1: her in a position to feel good about ourselves as
- 51:31Speaker 1: voting her as America's Rose. But like it, really it's
- 51:34Speaker 1: America and not the guy. He's going to feel obligated
- 51:36Speaker 1: to keep America's a girl around. It's not like you
- 51:39Speaker 1: ever said I'm so glad You've got America's rose because
- 51:42Speaker 1: I wanted to give it to you. Also, no, she's
- 51:44Speaker 1: a little insecure. Yeah alright, Well who did not get
- 51:49Speaker 1: a rose at this rose ceremony? Was it only Christina? Yeah?
- 51:54Speaker 1: Everybody else is bouncing. Oh my god, it's because because
- 51:59Speaker 1: because because she is the only one left. He was
- 52:01Speaker 1: just he was going to eliminate three, but Bailey and
- 52:03Speaker 1: Brianna had already gone home, so that that's hard. It's
- 52:07Speaker 1: week four, so we're getting a little farther along. I
- 52:10Speaker 1: always say, and you've heard it before in this podcast,
- 52:12Speaker 1: week five is when I really get interested again. I
- 52:16Speaker 1: feel like week like three through four, really one and
- 52:19Speaker 1: two don't really carry that much weight to me. But
- 52:22Speaker 1: week five is when you can really start to dive in.
- 52:25Speaker 1: See these relationships form. We should expect to see relationships form. Um.
- 52:30Speaker 1: It will be interest see what happens next week. I'm
- 52:32Speaker 1: sure those there's gonna be somebody else that goes home.
- 52:35Speaker 1: So far, we see a trend where people aren't super
- 52:37Speaker 1: upset to go home, which is interesting. We'll see how
- 52:39Speaker 1: that plays out so far. Actually, we've done it every season,
- 52:42Speaker 1: so it's not like this is new. Um, how do
- 52:45Speaker 1: you feel about this season? Let's do a scale of
- 52:48Speaker 1: A to F A being really good? Stop? Why would
- 52:52Speaker 1: you do this? We already we already roasted them. I
- 52:55Speaker 1: don't think we've roasted them. I think we've pointed out
- 52:57Speaker 1: what we see and what's happening. Okay, well again, I
- 53:02Speaker 1: I don't know if I I don't want anybody out
- 53:04Speaker 1: there listening anything I've said anything critical about Zach. I
- 53:07Speaker 1: don't know Zach right, I don't have any clu I'm
- 53:09Speaker 1: sure he's a nice man. I'm sure he's a fine
- 53:11Speaker 1: dude to be around. I don't it doesn't make him
- 53:14Speaker 1: a good or bad person to not be the best
- 53:17Speaker 1: possible choice as a lead of the show that like
- 53:20Speaker 1: has no weight on who he is and what his
- 53:22Speaker 1: character is represented by. But so far, you know, I
- 53:27Speaker 1: would say, hey, I'm I'm still wondering where he's gonna
- 53:30Speaker 1: blossom at because we haven't seen him blossom. But I'm
- 53:33Speaker 1: not mad at the guy. He'd be like, but hey,
- 53:37Speaker 1: I give the show a D. Sure, yeah, we're right
- 53:40Speaker 1: right now. I would give the show a pretty low score.
- 53:42Speaker 1: I'd say this is this is hard to keep watching
- 53:45Speaker 1: right now, and I'm excited for it to pick back
- 53:47Speaker 1: up again. We will keep watching it here, we'll keep
- 53:49Speaker 1: breaking it down with you. But I the mark of
- 53:53Speaker 1: a good show for me right now is I don't
- 53:54Speaker 1: think about The Bachelor. I don't like in fact, when
- 53:57Speaker 1: our screeners come up, like I have to remember to
- 54:01Speaker 1: even open it up to watch it right now because
- 54:04Speaker 1: it's just not something on my mind. Where in past seasons,
- 54:07Speaker 1: even including last season, there were weeks where I cannot
- 54:11Speaker 1: wait to get the screener to see what happened next.
- 54:13Speaker 1: I haven't felt that, even with Clayton season. Yeah, sure, yeah,
- 54:16Speaker 1: so I haven't felt that yet, which is why I
- 54:18Speaker 1: give it a D as well. Um. But hey, a
- 54:22Speaker 1: lot of room for growth, a lot of upside coming
- 54:24Speaker 1: our way. I believe in it. We'll see it. Um.
- 54:28Speaker 1: I'm hoping it happens next week. Hey, Ashley, we have
- 54:30Speaker 1: headlines to break down. There are some really exciting headlines
- 54:33Speaker 1: to talk about, um, and so let's take a break
- 54:36Speaker 1: when we come back. We got some love stories, we
- 54:39Speaker 1: got some drama. Um, we got some things just to
- 54:42Speaker 1: sit on and meditate on and and walk through. But
- 54:45Speaker 1: we do have headlines right after this the Bachelorettes. Claire
- 54:59Speaker 1: Crawley aries Ryan Dawkins the happiest day of my life.
- 55:03Speaker 1: This according to people. Yeah, are we so happy that
- 55:08Speaker 1: Clara married. I'm so happy. This is awesome. They got
- 55:11Speaker 1: married on a Tuesday, which is like kind of cool,
- 55:14Speaker 1: and it feels spontaneous, like they just went to the
- 55:18Speaker 1: courthouse and got married. That's not how it went. But
- 55:20Speaker 1: it was definitely a smaller ceremony. I think the ceremony
- 55:25Speaker 1: took place where they had their first date, and it
- 55:29Speaker 1: happened days after her wedding dress was stolen from a car.
- 55:34Speaker 1: I should have known that the wedding was coming up,
- 55:36Speaker 1: because girls usually don't get their dress, um, you know,
- 55:40Speaker 1: until like a week before the wedding. So but I
- 55:44Speaker 1: was still so surprised to see that they were actually
- 55:46Speaker 1: married and just so so happy. They went public with
- 55:50Speaker 1: their relationship in September. I think they started dating in
- 55:53Speaker 1: early summer, and it seems really fast, but I think
- 55:56Speaker 1: like at the ages that they're at, she's forty one,
- 55:59Speaker 1: you just know, and we're just so happy for them.
- 56:03Speaker 1: It's it's everything we've wanted for Claire. Yeah, it's a
- 56:07Speaker 1: big day for Batchel Nation. Claire Crawley is now married. Wow,
- 56:11Speaker 1: let's do it. Let's celebrate. The next headline is this.
- 56:15Speaker 1: This is one that um, I saw last week when
- 56:18Speaker 1: I was in unders and it hit hard. Um because yeah,
- 56:24Speaker 1: I know Sarah and um, she's awesome. But Batchel Nation,
- 56:28Speaker 1: Sarah Heren and fiance Dylan Brown reveal newborn son Oliver
- 56:33Speaker 1: died in his dad's arms. This according to US Weekly. Ah, literally,
- 56:38Speaker 1: there's just like, no, there's no words. Um, this is
- 56:42Speaker 1: one of the saddest things I've really ever heard, and
- 56:45Speaker 1: it's horrible that it happened to somebody as wonderful as Sarah.
- 56:50Speaker 1: We were together in Monterey Carmel, together as bachelor family
- 56:55Speaker 1: when the news came out. You know, we talked about
- 56:59Speaker 1: it and there's but then there's like really like I'm sorry,
- 57:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna be like super inarticulate when it comes to
- 57:08Speaker 1: speaking about this. It's just like the most unbelievably tragic
- 57:13Speaker 1: thing ever. And I think you read these things and
- 57:14Speaker 1: you have like a heavy heart and everything when you're
- 57:17Speaker 1: not apparent, but then when you're a parent, it's just
- 57:21Speaker 1: hits you in a whole different way. And we've just
- 57:24Speaker 1: been thinking about them and praying for them all week,
- 57:28Speaker 1: and I just don't know how you come back from
- 57:31Speaker 1: this like emotionally. Um, But here, I'll read what I
- 57:37Speaker 1: can't do it. You want to do it for me?
- 57:40Speaker 1: I can. Yeah, I'll read through some of this for everybody.
- 57:43Speaker 1: I don't think I can read this out loud. No,
- 57:46Speaker 1: that's fair, that's fine. Here in via Instagram on Wednesday,
- 57:50Speaker 1: February one, while honoring the late infant. There are no
- 57:54Speaker 1: words for the magnitude of loss and pain were experiencing.
- 57:58Speaker 1: It's beautiful in sign utaneously tragic. He had my nose
- 58:03Speaker 1: and his dad's mouth and long fingers, she continued. Oliver,
- 58:07Speaker 1: our ivf miracle, defied so many odds and thought through
- 58:11Speaker 1: so many hard milestones to be here. But the Higher
- 58:14Speaker 1: Power still had other plans for the three of us.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Our time together was short, but we are grateful for
- 58:20Speaker 1: the days we had with Oliver and my belly. He
- 58:23Speaker 1: has taught us so much about the grateful. He has
- 58:28Speaker 1: taught us so much about the integrity of life, love
- 58:32Speaker 1: and death. Oliver filled our home and our hearts. Was
- 58:36Speaker 1: so much love and most importantly, optimism. The stars aligned
- 58:40Speaker 1: to create baby Oliver with a deep meaningful purpose, bigger
- 58:44Speaker 1: than we'll ever understand. His body was small, but his
- 58:47Speaker 1: legacy will always be larger than life to us. We're
- 58:54Speaker 1: thinking about them and so many others, UM, who have
- 58:58Speaker 1: experienced this, and uh yeah, we'll continue to think about him.
- 59:06Speaker 1: An odd gear to shift here. Two more headlines, um,
- 59:11Speaker 1: but they are headlines. Bachelor's Star Rachel and Clayton spark
- 59:18Speaker 1: dating rumors. This according to page six, and I'll just
- 59:21Speaker 1: read the next headline as well, Ashley, because they go together.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Bachelor's Star Rachel says, no, I'm not dating Clayton, but
- 59:29Speaker 1: clarifies reunion rumors that according TMZ. So going to TMZ
- 59:35Speaker 1: and to us who brought them together in Carmel, California
- 59:39Speaker 1: for this podcast. So we saw this unfolded from our eyes.
- 59:44Speaker 1: What started the spark these dating rumors is a TikTok
- 59:48Speaker 1: that rae that Rachel, that Rachel had an idea for
- 59:53Speaker 1: and Michelle taped it and it was really funny and
- 59:56Speaker 1: I'm glad I got to see it firsthand. But I
- 59:59Speaker 1: think they a trending sound on TikTok right now. That's
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: like what's going on. If I would explain it to you,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: it would give us both an aneurysm. And basically it's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Michelle looking at looking at Clayton and Rachel together and
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: they're like, we'd explain, but it would given sen aneurism,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: and they're both like kind of smirking and shrugging, and
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: it's really funny. It's truly like the perfect TikTok for
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: the two of them to record went together, one just
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: for laughs and two guests to get back to nations
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: tongues wagging. Yeah, uh so, No, they are not dating,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: but the two of them did spend some solid time
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: together as a group, I think, just as a group
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: with us, and they got along really well. Just tell
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: you from being there. The two of them were sitting around,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: you know, a circle around the fireplace with us, and
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: they were sitting next to each other, and they were
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: very deep in conversation sometimes and I tried not to
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: ease drop. Yes I did. They were definitely rehashing, rehashing
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: a lot of stuff from their time together. And that
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: wasn't the only time. I also heard that they were
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: like sitting on a couch before what I think, when
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: we were doing the Hyundai commercial and they were like
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: spending an hour just like kind of talking about the past,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: but all like very in a very friendly sense, kind
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: of like like they're working through it, and they were
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: saying things that, you know, like any kind of couple
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: having not seen each other in a while might bring up.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Don't ever say that the Almost Famous podcast doesn't care
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: about healing past relationships. Never say it, because this is
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: a tangible example of us doing something really good for headlines,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: and for the two of the headlines for sure. Well,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Clayton also smashed the rumors of a reconciliation with our
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: next headline spotted, Yeah, go for it. The Bachelor's Clayton
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: spotted with sports reporter Sarah Cardona after Susie Evans split.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: This according to Yahoo, do you know who Sarah Cardona is?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I think she's a local news reporter, um, because I
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: know that, Like when he was spotted at this game
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: of the JumboTron with her. Was the JumboTron or are
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: people just like taking pictures in there? Because I saw
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: a video of him dancing and I was like, we've
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: seen this before. Okay, So like the two of them
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: are out and I was like, oh am, I supposed
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: to know that girl. But basically it was just like,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Oh no, he's on a date with somebody else. So
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I guess the Rachel stuff isn't a thing, and I guess, um,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: this would probably make headlines either way, even if the
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Rachel stuff wasn't out there, because it's like Clayton on
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: his first public date with another public personality, even if
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: she is, um, yeah, she's the local ABC affiliate. Sports
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: don't even know it was a date. We have confirmation
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: was a date. Come on, Okay, next in mine is this.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Caitlin Bristow says producers sexualized Nick Vile to her licked
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: lips after they kissed. This according to Cosmo, Okay, this
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: is pretty freaking gross. Um. So after Nick and Caitlin
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: would kiss, there was one producer Caitlin said that would
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: be like, Oh, I just want to know what it
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: tastes like like to make out with Nick. And she
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: would come in and she'd wipe Caitlin's lips and then
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: lick her own lips and that and then be like, oh, yeah,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: that's what I'd be like, oh, and I'm like, Okay,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: that's really really not good. Um. And that was what
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: she thinks is like them like brainwashing her and putting
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: him on a pedestal to her like, oh man, like
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: that guy, like you get that guy. That must be
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: something to experience. She said thinks it was a tactic
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: on you know, on her on Nick, like yeah, ta,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: trying to make Nick seems so desirable, exactly, thank you. Well.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Next tideline is that she got nothing to say about that. No,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I think it's weird. That's so weird. Could you imagine
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: just somebody touching your own mouth with their fingers. That's
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: actually that to me is the more disturbing part. It's
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: like somebody took their fingers and rubbed that on my lips.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: It's I don't even know who she's talking about. I
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: can't even think about who she's talking about. Whoever it is,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I think I might know. Well, Chris Harrison and Caitlin
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Bristow hash out their Bachelor beef this according to CNN. Well,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I haven't listened to this podcast yet, but Caitlin said
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: last week that she had, you know, reached out to Chris,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: especially at the time, you know, there was an awkwardness
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: of course, like it or felt like there would be
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: awkwardness when she got the hosting gig, and she said
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: to him you know, she texted him talking about that
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: and she never heard back, so she said that she ghosted.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: She had been ghosted um by Chris. But then after
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: this came out, he had her on his podcast this week,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: which is a great get for I heard, congratulations to
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: our team for just murdering this opportunity. And they had
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: a two part episode which I haven't listened to yet
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: that they just kind of talk all of that out.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: It's worth listening to. It's it's a podcast worth listening to,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the most aromatic pod ever. Like back in the day,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: she used to joke when Jason proposes he has to
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: ask my dad, my stepdad and Chris Harrison, like, that's
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: how close they were, and that's how much of a
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: father figure she saw him as. But then all of
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: a sudden, she just she says, she didn't hear from
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: him again, and uh yeah, so they get to talk
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: it out on the podcast. Definitely listen to that. It's
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: the most dramatic podcast ever. And they obviously answer all
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: the all the ghosts in the room. Yeah, and there
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: are some real things that they're talking through. These are
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: real life situations. Um. Chris Harrison also says that Chris
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Kaitlyn Bristo and Tasia Adams are set up to fail
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: as Bachelor at co host this. According to People, Yeah,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: what do you think, Ashley? This sounds juicier than it is.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: He basically just says that there's not enough room for
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: two people to be host Like. He says that the
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: show was not designed for two hosts. He says, there's
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: not room for two emotions in that mental space that
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: you're taking over, so it's never gonna work. Like basically,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: he's saying that, like, you can't confide in two people
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: when you're the Bachelor, Like you're gonna just want, like
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: to talk to one person. You're not gonna want to
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: explain your feelings to two people. And I don't really
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: know that that's why it didn't work out for them
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: having being long term hosts. What I don't I don't know,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: because I think everybody enjoyed them in his host But
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I definitely think the vibe was always put out there
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: that was going to be a temporary thing. Sure, well
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: that is what Chris told Caitlin, so he felt that way. Caitlin, Well,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: you can listen to it see if she agreed or disagreed.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Final headline is Bachelor in Paradise is Asterrid and Kevin
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: expecting a second baby quotas we're celebrating this. According to people,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: this is very exciting news. The two of them had
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: their first baby um fourteen months ago August, and now
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: they have another one on the way. They talk about
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: it on their Instagram. So as you guys want to
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: know about this fertility journey, go ahead and check out
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: that post. Well that's all we have for you today
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: on the Almost Famous podcast. We'll be back next week.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: We came out with a lot of content last week
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: from Karma by the Sea. Again, we had some incredible
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Bachelor Nation people with us. UM. I was there for
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: a few days and left so everybody else could have
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: more fun. Um. But you should go back and listen
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: to those shows on the Almost Famous thread. Um they
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: are posted. Um. And so until next time, I've been been,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I've been been. Good. Welcome, I've been actually, I think bye.
