The Second Checkout
Standing in a long supermarket queue, I watched a second checkout open and people from the back rush ahead of those who had been waiting the longest. It made me realise that while life isn't always fair, the choices we make in those moments reveal something deeper about who we are. Patience isn't simply waiting, it's trusting that we don't have to get ahead at someone else's expense. Sometimes the greatest measure of success isn't reaching the front of the queue first, but the character we display while we're waiting.
