- 0:01SPEAKER_01: What's your relationship with your phone in the day?
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: Like, do you keep your ringer on?
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Um, it's a weird way to ask it.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: What's my relationship with my phone?
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Well, when I call you every day, most of the time you don't answer, it goes to voicemail.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: So I'm thinking like you don't have your phone with you or you keep your phone off.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: And my relationship to my phone is my phone's on me and on all the time.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: I'm always answering the phone.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Except if I'm talking to somebody and I have to like wait until I'm done talking to them.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: So my question to you is what's your relationship with your phone?
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Like, so what is what are the options?
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: I'm either you either have your ringer on all the time and you answer it.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Yep, you don't have your ringer on some most of the time, you don't even have your phone with you.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: So those three options?
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: Well, those are three.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: You might have a fourth option.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: What if I'm in a movie?
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: So there's another option.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: That's another option.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: What if you're um what if I'm at a funeral?
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: What if you're running at full speed?
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what if I'm running?
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's many options, so many different relationships you can have with your phone, I guess.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: What's your do but generally speaking, do you walk around with your phone on and answer it?
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Generally, I walk around with my phone on.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: That's good.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: My I think my car is leaking when it rains.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Do I answer it?
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you landed.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: You answered it.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: And my my my car leaks when it rains, which I'm really frustrated about.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna try to fix that.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Well, it just gets a little stinky in here.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: I gotta find out where it's leaking, you know what I mean?
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Mold.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: I got an old car, you know.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Like you.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: We got old cars.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Mine's a 2003.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: What's yours?
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: 1967.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: No, it's oh well, you do have an 1966.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: It's almost as old as me.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: But what about the black car?
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Marge?
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Marge.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: How old's Marge?
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: I think Marge is 2003.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, that would be cool if we both had 2003s.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: But does your car look like it's gone through a train wreck?
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Here's a question.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: You you uh you're a restaurant guy.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: I've always heard that the secret to a restaurant success with food is just pile on the butter.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Just everything's got butter on it.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Is that true?
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Well, my restaurant is um I know not typical that way, but we do use a lot of butter on the crust.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: We use butter.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, why not?
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Butter and cream and salt.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Those are that's how you make the food taste good.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Butter and cream, that's what I grew up on.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Butter and cream.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Butter and cream.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Yes, sir.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Yes, ma'am.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Butter and cream.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: So do you just go, whatever the recipe says, just more butter and more cream.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Is that is that how it works?
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: I think you look for recipes that use a lot of butter and cream, basically.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Like you want the fettuccine alfredo, stuff like that.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: I'm walking to the track, so you know.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Did you go to the movie today?
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we went and saw the Odyssey.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: What did you think?
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Well, it was it was interesting because there was a um an emergency evacuation halfway through the movie, so we had to leave.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: It was a false alarm.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: That is wrong.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: That is totally wrong.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Like, give me my money back.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: Rewind the movie and give me my money.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: We got uh we got tickets, but we still went back and finished it.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: But we missed like the best scene, which I hear is the best scene.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: So oh, you had to miss some of it?
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: They didn't even rewind it.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: No, they don't rewind that.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: You don't rewind, you don't rewind a digital film.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: But um, but you know, I but you can I miss the best scene uh from what I hear, which is what's the best scene?
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Well, the the the uh you know the woman who turns everyone into pigs, Emily, uh whatever that scene was.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, heard that was the best scene, so or she did the best performance.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Man, that's a bummer.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: That's such a bummer that they that they had an evacuation, yeah.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Never heard of such a thing.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: I I trust me, I those lights went on, I was the first one out.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, there was old people everywhere, and I was like, forget that.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: I'm out, I'm out first.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: I'm running at full speed climbed over them because you they said it was a bomb threat.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: No, just the lights went on, and the the blinky lights went on, and a little announcement saying, you know, run for your life.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Just that.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Oh wow, and I did.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: I think the woman next to me was 92.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I I walked right over her.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: He broke her wrist.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, she yeah.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, she's 92, so you know, yeah.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: She'll need a wrist.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: The only reason I know she was 92 is she just talked through the whole film.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: I think people like that.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Who talks in a film?
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Who does that?
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: You know, yeah, that kind of stuff is really you shouldn't do that unless the it's an experimental film and you're allowed to do that.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, I understand like that's rare.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: I understand that like looking at your watch, looking for the time, you know, going online on your phone.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: I know there are there are movies like that.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: There are movies like that.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: I don't understand any of that.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: You shouldn't do any of that.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: There, no, there's I hey uh uh you know buddy of mine made a feature film, Doc, and all about time, and he wanted people to like look at their watch, and he wanted them to like maybe take it, take a nap.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: You know, not a nap, but you could talk.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: You can talk.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: So see, there are films that you can do.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: But that's experimental.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's very experimental.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's it was um it was um what did he keep saying?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: It was not next level cutting edge, cutting edge, yeah.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Avant guard, it was well quality for sure.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, I mean I'm I'm hearing all about that film.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, well, uh my niece and nephew were in town and they went last night to see Spider-Man, a musical.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Hades a movie musical or a real musical?
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: A movie musical.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: About Hades?
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Hades Town.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Hades Town?
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: But it's like there, it's an actual play that they've filmed.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they do yeah, they yeah.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Film the Broadway play.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: I call that a musical.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: I don't know what you call it, but I call it a musical.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's more of a musical than a movie musical.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: That's a that's a um a taped real musical, but it still doesn't change, you know, if you're there in person and you know, with all those humans in a room, and there's a there's diff there's a difference.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, big difference.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: You can smell everybody's sweat.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well Yeah.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: You can may not all at the same time, but in a general sense.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: What happened?
