  let everybody know Owen found a four week old kitten in a truck wheel well

  at a job he was working on, like in an abandoned parking lot.

  And she is in my room right now with me because she was crying up

  a storm when I left her out in our bedroom. And so if you

  hear some like very shrill mewing, that's where that's coming from. She is
• 2:15
  extremely loud for such a tiny creature. It's remarkable, very cute, which
• 2:21
  is probably the reason that she's still alive. But I could probably fit her
• 2:27
  entire body in my mouth and just like swallow her hole if she irritated me
• 2:30
  enough. But uh yeah, I just wanted to let you know. If
• 2:34
  you hear some weird squeaks, that's who that is. And sorry about it.

  Oh god, I'm sorry. She's on my foot and she's trying to

  climb up my leg as we speak. Hold on, maybe I should just

  episodes. Actually, I'm a big fan of our you know, the voyage

  under the Sea. I think this is a really cool, like visually,

  I bet it was fun to animate, and I'm really interested in the mechanics

  of the coating that has been put on the ship because the way that this
• 3:54
  works, and it turns out like this coating can be put on individual people
• 3:59
  as well, well, that's really going to open up some interesting possibilities here
• 4:04
  in a way that's like considering everything. It almost feels like a little too
• 4:11
  much freedom for our guys to be able to like go out into the water.
• 4:15
  But also I was having a sort of anxiety of my own not knowing
• 4:20
  what this little coating could handle. I say little sounds so dismissive, but
• 4:26
  it's like very impressive. But we actually get to see the extent of it
• 4:30
  and the kinds of beatings it can take and still either maintain its shape or
• 4:35
  repair itself pretty quickly, which is it's impressive. I was. I'm sorry,
• 4:44
  guys, this kitten is like in my face, she just needs to
• 4:48
  take a nappy nap. She's just trying to get warm here, just stay
• 4:53
  here. I'm so sorry you guys. Oh okay, So let's start things

  off from the beginning of this episode though, because this like a scene with

  what is his name, wet hair Caribou. I do not like this man
• 5:16
  at all. It's like even worse somehow when later on he turns out to
• 5:23
  be such a sniveling coward. Seeing the way that he just turned like didn't
• 5:29
  about face on his attitude toward them, it's so cringey. It's so embarrassing,
• 5:35
  like have some fucking pride, man, but he does not. He
• 5:40
  just instantly completely caves. And I won't kind of wish that his men had
• 5:46
  been there to see that, because I feel like they would have been they
• 5:49
  would have a different attitude about him if they had gotten to see the way
• 5:53
  that he just just put his tail between his legs, you know what I'm
• 5:59
  saying. And the first time that we come across him in these episodes,
• 6:04
  he's having some of the fake straw Hats dig their own graves. Oh okay,
• 6:12
  that's enough, little kid, that's enough. You go back down there.
• 6:16
  She clawed my lip. That's where I draw the line. And he's
• 6:21
  telling them, you've lied without remorse and deception is a sin. But he
• 6:28
  says this right after he tells them that he was lying about wanting to join
• 6:33
  the straw Hats because he was planning to immediately double cross them and get their
• 6:36
  bounties. This is very typical of his type, this kind of hypocrisy.
• 6:45
  I'm not surprised, but also sir, for the love of God. So
• 6:50
  anyway, we get to see again this like thing with him. It's like
• 6:56
  mud. I guess I had said before that he was able to turn himself
• 7:00
  into a liquid, but as much as it is technically a liquid, it's
• 7:05
  not water. It looks more like mud. And he is like smothering people
• 7:13
  by, like over the head with it, and I guess killing them like
• 7:19
  he does it to the fake Sangi, who just drops to the ground and
• 7:25
  I think that he's actually dead, but it's hard to say how who's like
• 7:30
  on the chopping block in this show. But anyway, so we then have
• 7:39
  the talk from I can't remember his name. I keep doing this sent tomorrow.

  Did I get that right? I hope I got that right. And

  he's the one who is warning all of the Marines that they are up against
• 7:53
  a much stronger group of straw hats than they were last time. And basically,

  like, guys, I know that you think you know what's coming,

  you don't, and you need to like get yourself ready. So this I

  am really enjoying this like new attitude that everybody is having about the straw Hats
• 8:20
  already, Like I kind of expected. I kind of expected that their reputation

  wasn't going to be so elevated so quickly, and honestly, there is a
• 8:39
  part of me that wishes it had it wasn't like something everybody was aware of.
• 8:46
  At the same time, it does maybe like stave off some trouble in
• 8:52
  the future that our friends might run across. And I say, maybe,
• 8:58
  like I acknowledge that it's not a perfect shield or anything, but if folks
• 9:03
  out there are aware that you have leveled up quite a bit, maybe they
• 9:09
  will think twice about coming at you with the energy that they would have used.

  So I like to think that at the same time, what haird Caribou
• 9:18
  doesn't seem to fall into that category. He's willing to come at them anyway,
• 9:22
  and it seems pretty clear he is not up for it. So I
• 9:26
  guess it's just if people are smart, they'll back off unless they really either
• 9:33
  don't know or underestimate them, or are more focused on the bounty than anything.
• 9:43
  So the conversation, by the way, San Tomorrow is like surrounded by
• 9:50
  these Kumas that are on the ground, because reminder, our friends were able
• 9:56
  to deal with them in pretty short order. Find out a little bit later

  what was going on with Kuma. But first let's talk real quick about Railey,

  because he's he's thinking back to the moment when gold Roger approached him and
• 10:15
  was trying to get him to become part of his crew. And I have

  to mention that gold Roger is out here with that straw hat, which I
• 10:24
  didn't realize was his thing also, and he Raley is like reclining on a
• 10:31
  boat and says that he stole the boat after his house burnt down, which
• 10:37
  we don't know that story, right, And then Roger says, I think
• 10:46
  it's destiny that we met. Why don't we just go out on the high
• 10:52
  seas on this dope boat that you have and turn the world upside down and
• 10:56
  just be partners and besties forever. And this dude, I'm sorry, the
• 11:03
  cat is still here like on me and really understandably. I love the fact
• 11:07
  that Raley actually says this in the kinds of words that I would use.
• 11:13
  Maybe that's just the dub, but he says, are you serious because I
• 11:18
  literally just met you like thirty seconds ago, and why don't you just go
• 11:24
  get one of your like a boat of your own. And gold Roger says,
• 11:28
  one of these days you're gonna look back at this and realize it was
• 11:31
  the beginning of the greatest adventure ever known. And when we come into the
• 11:37
  present, Railey is like tearing up at this memory and just realizing, like,
• 11:43
  oh my god, he was right. I didn't know what was happening
• 11:46
  at the time, but it was like a complete turning point in my life.
• 11:52
  And it's just really interesting to see young gold Roger. He looks so
• 11:56
  much like Louvie and the whole attitude of just I'm gonna approach a stranger and
• 12:01
  be like, Okay, now we're friends that will die for each other instantly.
• 12:07
  I mean that's a very familiar behavior. I'm just saying I was a
• 12:13
  little bit disappointed that we didn't get a better look at young Raleigh, because
• 12:18
  you guys know that I thought that Railey was fine even as an older gent,
• 12:24
  But I have to imagine when he was younger it was pretty good.
• 12:28
  We just see that his hair was blonde, that's all we got, but
• 12:33
  otherwise not much of a look. His facial hair seems to be different.
• 12:39
  It looks like it's just a couple of stripes only, and not like the
• 12:41
  kind of more beardy thing that he's got going on now. It sort of
• 12:46
  reminded me of the facial hair on Oh my God, I can't remember the
• 12:52
  name of the guy with the black hair and the submarine law, right,
• 12:58
  Trafalgar Law kind of reminded me of that anyway. Okay, so that's that

  with Rayley. Now we'll cut back to our friends who are on the ship
• 13:09
  descending into the water and really like loving the whole vibe from down here,
• 13:15
  the view of the fish, getting to see the roots of the mangrove trees
• 13:20
  and how like it reminds them that those islands are actually trees. And it
• 13:26
  was something for me that I was surprised they had forgotten, because that's all
• 13:31
  I can think about when I look at Sabaodi, It's like those are all
• 13:35
  trees and just surprised me. I guess it's probably different when you're actually on
• 13:39
  it and everybody's having sort of like different responses in terms of like Robin and
• 13:48
  Frankie are pure this is so cool, not me is like this is cool,
• 13:52
  but this is also a little bit freaky. Oosop is like, oh
• 13:56
  my god, I'm fine, it's fine. But he says something like I've
• 14:01
  done this a million times, and I was like, that's just a straight
• 14:05
  up lie, right, or there's nothing that we don't know about him in
• 14:09
  this respect. I have to admit, though, I don't know how he
• 14:13
  got here, so it's possible that he was like on a coated ship to
• 14:20
  get to the island to meet them up again, but I don't think so,
• 14:24
  so I think he's just straight lying. Of course, poor Chopper is
• 14:28
  the one that's like really freaking out the most, and then we have both
• 14:33
  Zoro and Loofy like completely disregarding any sense of like safety, precaution anything and
• 14:46
  trying to catch fish through the coating on the ship in a way that I
• 14:54
  would have expected fully to break through it. Loofy just manages to go up
• 15:00
  and like bounces against it. Zoro doesn't get a chance, I don't think,
• 15:05
  because I feel like Zoro, if he really used an ability, he
• 15:09
  could slash this thing, no problem. I mean he can. We saw
• 15:11
  that with the other ship. So and excuse me, oh my god,
• 15:22
  forgive me. Guys. This episode is really gonna be a little bit of
• 15:26
  a mess. I'm sorry. If you want to see the kitten by the

  So the rundown that we get because like I think, it's uh Frankie who

  says, nommy, you know some things about this, so why don't you

  give us like a checklist of what we need to know about how this works?

  Oh no, wait, I lie. It's Sanji who says that,

  because he then turns to her and it's a mistake. He turns to her

  and she says, good point, okay, And she turns to him and

  she's in a bikini top, and he has such a rush of blood that

  it sends him skyrocketing into the air and through the coating, which I'd just

  like to point out that Lufy's like desire to catch a fish is pretty strong
• 16:34
  and that wasn't enough to break the coating the coating, but Sanji's nosebleed was,
• 16:40
  so that is serious. We find out later that he's got blood loss
• 16:44
  issues, which I honestly found very funny because I had just been thinking the
• 16:48
  other day about how it would be an interesting plot point if he actually made
• 16:52
  himself sick because he was just like having nose bleeds too often, and I
• 16:57
  really didn't think that we were going to pursue that. But I find it
• 17:00
  fun I mean, I don't like the cause of it. Obviously, this
• 17:04
  whole conceit of him just being even more girl crazy than he used to be.
• 17:11
  It is wearisome. But if it knocks him out for a little bit,
• 17:17
  maybe that's for the best. I don't know. So, yeah,
• 17:21
  he goes out there, Loofy manages to like reach out through the coating and
• 17:26
  grab him, and it was sort of I think that the way that he
• 17:30
  reaches out, his arm is still coated, because let's see, I'm trying
• 17:37
  to see how this works. No, he goes through and can't quite reach
• 17:44
  him at first. He's like the fucking seawater because it affects his powers and
• 17:48
  he needs to have his friends like yank him back, which we then see
• 17:52
  later as well with Robin because she has to use her powers. And I'd
• 17:56
  forgotten that the seawater is like anathema to them for their abilities. I think,
• 18:03
  and I'm just going to say this, I think it's a bit of
• 18:08
  a cheat for their powers to work at all. I get the temptation to
• 18:17
  do this, but if you can make a cage out of like seastone and
• 18:26
  just being in it near it is enough to keep you from being able to
• 18:30
  use your abilities, I think that your whole arm submerged in seawater should do
• 18:37
  the same thing. I just think that trick is it cheat? But whatever,
• 18:42
  it's fine. So yeah, they have to like get him some blood,
• 18:48
  and they're worried about like whether or not the blood on Fishman Island is
• 18:52
  even going to be compatible, Like we don't even know if they have the
• 18:56
  same blood as humans, And Nami describes that like a sea kin chomping down
• 19:03
  on the ship would definitely be able to break it, but there's a lot
• 19:07
  of other stuff that it can withstand. And that also it's like a single
• 19:15
  shot maybe won't penetrate, but if somebody shot a bunch of projectiles at once,
• 19:22
  that would be an issue. And if we crash into a rock or
• 19:27
  a trench, the bubble could burst as well. It doesn't like protect us
• 19:33
  from all damage, Like we're not inside a balloon, you know. I
• 19:40
  love how she says. I mean, of course Lufy's just going to try
• 19:42
  and get us all killed, but what else is new? She just very
• 19:45
  much takes that as like a given, which I think is probably the right
• 19:49
  attitude to have. But then she has to add seventy percent of the people
• 19:55
  who had to Fishman Island sink, which I just feel like probably was a
• 20:00
  good piece of information to just keep to yourself. Oh no, Namy,
• 20:06
  I'm just saying I feel like you could just you could know that you could
• 20:11
  tell some others that I don't feel like Oosop and Chopper are the ones to
• 20:17
  tell. That's just my opinion. So this is, when they're cruising on
• 20:27
  a sea current, we get like a look at them sort of continuing to
• 20:30
  descend, and the light changes a little bit because at first, as they're
• 20:34
  thinking, all of these shafts of sunlight are penetrating the water and it's really
• 20:40
  really beautiful. But as you get further and further down, the light begins
• 20:45
  to dim someone And I don't think it's ever going to be just like pitch
• 20:48
  black like it really would be, but uh, it's definitely not the same
• 20:52
  sort of like if there's something almost like tropical vacation like about it. When
• 20:59
  they first heading down and it becomes more and more ominous, I would say,
• 21:06
  the further down they go. So this is a point where Frankie tells
• 21:11
  all of them all, right, guys, I think that there is something
• 21:12
  that you should know about what happened with the sonny, because initially they had
• 21:19
  what's his face, the guy who got made hot by being kicked by Sanji.

  But he says, like, you know, he was the original one
• 21:32
  that was meant to handle watching over the sonny, and he got attacked so
• 21:38
  much that eventually Hatchie was the one that had to take over watching over the
• 21:45
  ship. And oh my god, I forgot that. When he first says

  that he has this stuff that he wants to tell them, he lufy oos
• 21:55
  up and Chopper all think that he's about to reveal more and exciting features about
• 22:03
  his robot suit, and I do really enjoy how all he can do.

  He just says things in a robot like voice, and that seems to be
• 22:15
  enough for them. They say, like, he speaks robot, which is
• 22:18
  not anything you guys, But sure anyway, sorry, I just that moment
• 22:23
  is very funny. I'm trying to see because I know he mentions the name
• 22:30
  Hachi was supposed to show us the way to Fishman Island himself, but he
• 22:34
  got hurt real bad back on Sabaodi. He came down here ahead of us
• 22:38
  to get medical treatment. Anyway, it was the same thing that happened to
• 22:41
  Duval, that's his name. He was protecting the Sunny for anyone who from
• 22:48
  anyone who came for it. Things got ugly about a year ago when the
• 22:52
  Navy found out the ship was docked here. Both him and Duval got taken
• 22:56
  out in a big fight. So a full year after that, the Sonny
• 23:03
  is still waiting for them, and they're like, well, then, who
• 23:06
  the fuck like held on to it for us? And he says a secret
• 23:11
  ally, the one that separated us the Warlord Kuma. Turns out, Bartholomewkuma
• 23:18
  was on our side the whole time. A few days back, when I
• 23:22
  made it to the Sonny, I couldn't believe my eyes. He was right
• 23:26
  there and I love him. Like the look on his face, sweating as
• 23:32
  he comes up to Kuma, who is like in a very weird state.
• 23:37
  When he walks up, just all scratched and cut up, like his sword
• 23:41
  sticking out of him. This dude has clearly been through it, and Kuma
• 23:47
  says, I've been waiting for you, And Frankie, of course, thinks
• 23:49
  this means like I'm going to shred you to pieces. And Kuma stands up
• 23:55
  and says mission accomplished and just walks past him, all of this like electricity
• 24:03
  and everything shorting around him like he could barely continue. And Frankie is on
• 24:10
  the defensive. He's got his hand up, expecting that this thing is going
• 24:12
  to attack him, but it doesn't. It just keeps walking past him like
• 24:17
  it doesn't even notice him. And he says that he talked to Rayleigh later
• 24:23
  and Kuma told him, I'm a member of the Revolutionary Army. If it's
• 24:27
  within my power, I want to help the straw hats escape from here.
• 24:33
  Frankie says, you guys probably knew something was up, but now we know
• 24:36
  the truth. He saved the sonny and he saved our lives. And after
• 24:41
  we were sent flying from the island, Kuma paid Rayleigh a visit and dropped
• 24:45
  another bombshell. And I love when the animation shows Kuma going over to see
• 24:52
  Raleigh. He is almost the same size as the entire building that Raley is
• 24:59
  in. I mean, it's it's a little excessive, That's all I'm saying.

  But yeah, Kuma says, I don't have much time, not as
• 25:10
  myself. Frankie says, the details are a little sketchy, but evidently Kuma
• 25:15
  surrendered his body to the Navy. They used him as an experiment and replaced
• 25:19
  his body parts one by one. By the time the War of the Best
• 25:23
  ruled around, his personality had been completely erased. And I was like,
• 25:30
  how like just saying he surrendered his body to the navy, saying like the
• 25:37
  details are a little sketchy is one thing, but that is a massive thing
• 25:41
  to be like, oh, yeah he did this, and you know,
• 25:42
  and then this happened. No no, no, no, no, you
• 25:45
  don't get to just say, oh, he did this thing that's insane and
• 25:49
  then just like waltz right past it onto the other stuff. Why would he
• 25:53
  do that if he's not working for them? Like really, if he's actually
• 25:59
  a part of the revolutionaries, why would he surrender his body to them?
• 26:03
  Like is there a bit of a cheat code implanted in all of the Kuma
• 26:10
  bots that is, like a back door virus that he can eventually turn them
• 26:15
  on their owners? Like anyway, Chopper here chimes in and says, Okay,
• 26:22
  well, he sent us as to those islands, but he didn't know
• 26:25
  what we do when we got there, or even if we would make it
• 26:30
  back at all. So Chopper, I was kind of surprised by this because
• 26:34
  I thought Chopper was going to be like, oh my god, and he
• 26:37
  sent us to places that would benefit us. But Chopper is very unwilling to
• 26:45
  sort of give him the benefit of the doubt right off the bat, and
• 26:48
  I actually kind of respected that. So Yeah, this is when Frankie says
• 26:56
  he made a deal with Vegapunk defend the thousand Sonnies from any the thousand Sonny
• 27:03
  from any attackers until the moment that a straw hat returns to claim it.
• 27:07
  Even though he's been reduced to a living weapon with no memory. He's been
• 27:11
  carrying out his own orders protecting our ship for the past two years to fulfill
• 27:17
  his last wish. And Zoro says, why he barely knew us, why
• 27:22
  did it matter to him? And Oosop is like, well, if he's
• 27:25
  a member of the revolutionary army, which is being led by Lufi's dad,
• 27:29
  then it's probably that connection, like you know, and I think that makes
• 27:33
  sense, but maybe that's too easy an answer. I don't know. The
• 27:41
  bottom line is our survival and all the things we accomplished in the past two
• 27:44
  years we owe to him, whatever his reason was, we should be grateful.
• 27:49
  That's Frankie Sanji seems to be really the only one that's sort of like,
• 27:56
  yeah, no, fuck that guy. But yeah, he says in
• 28:00
  his personality is gone. Nos, So there's no point in like questioning it
• 28:03
  because we're never going to be able to ask him, and we just have
• 28:07
  to appreciate everything that he did for us until he took his last breath as
• 28:12
  a human. It's too bad that we won't be able to thank him,
• 28:17
  because once we see him again, he's going to be a weapon and he's
• 28:21
  going to be our enemy. But uh yeah, that's the story, and
• 28:25
  I thought y'all should know about it. So I knew, you know,
• 28:30
  like by this point that Kuma was on their side somehow. It all,
• 28:36
  you know, right from when he had his weird confrontation with Zoro. It
• 28:41
  just felt like, what's happening here? Because he wasn't actually doing anything to
• 28:48
  hurt Zoro in a genuine way, that Zorro wasn't inviting. The whole situation
• 28:56
  just felt so strange. So this is not, you know, a surprising
• 29:03
  revelation in itself, but I do appreciate the explanation of why the sunny is
• 29:08
  still sitting there. I feel like if the entire if all the Marines came
• 29:15
  to take it, one person protecting it is not enough, even Kuma.
• 29:19
  But it doesn't matter ultimately. So anyway, this is a spot where we
• 29:26
  go to Caribou. He is also in a coated ship. He sees the
• 29:30
  straw hats and is like, all right, this is it, guys,
• 29:34
  We're gonna fucking hit them. Frankie is talking about the aphotic zone. Aphot
• 29:44
  Ic about one thousand meters give or take, and I guess that's the spot
• 29:53
  where he's talking about like the light beginning to dim, and this is when
• 30:00
  they begin to see some other huge creatures. A whale goes by, and
• 30:06
  they finally spot caribou coming at them, and Caribou they are thinking at first
• 30:12
  that he wants to crash into them, but they begin to understand that his
• 30:18
  intention is to board them. And when we go to Caribou himself, he
• 30:26
  says something about, how I know what you're all thinking. If they're wanted
• 30:30
  dead or alive, why don't we just kill them and then we can claim
• 30:33
  the bounty. And he says that wouldn't do The Navy wouldn't know who killed
• 30:38
  them. We have to deliver their heads personally on a silver platter. Then
• 30:44
  they will fear us. The whole world will know our strength. And I
• 30:52
  like, if you yeah, I guess the point is, like, of
• 30:57
  course you don't want to just kill them if you're going to be collecting their
• 31:02
  bounty. Nobody's gonna believe you when you just say, oh, they're ship
• 31:04
  crashed and they're all dead. You can't just tell people that, like nobody's
• 31:08
  gonna buy that. You're not getting money out of that. So the episode
• 31:15
  ends with him being like, all right, here we come charge. And

  it turns out, guys that he has got that see cow in his employ
• 31:27
  And when I tell you that this thing being back and still used for evil
• 31:33
  makes me desperately sad, that is no overstatement. I mean, my god,

  let this guy rest, for the love of Pete. It just feels
• 31:44
  mean spirited at this point. Let him come back and the sonny be his
