- 0:01Hello. Welcome to the No Guy Coach
- 0:02Huddle for December 9, 2025. Your
- 0:05two-minute play of the day for applying
- 0:07God's word in your life. So, let's
- 0:08huddle up and hear today's play from
- 0:10First Peter 5. Says, "Be alert and of
- 0:13sober mind. Your enemy, the devil,
- 0:15prowls around like a roaring lying,
- 0:18looking for someone to devour. Resist
- 0:20him standing firm in a faith because you
- 0:22know that the family of believers
- 0:24throughout the world is undergoing the
- 0:26same kind of sufferings." Men, let's get
- 0:29real. The lion is roaring and many of
- 0:32our brothers across the world are
- 0:34feeling his teeth right now. Christians
- 0:37in places like Nigeria and Ethiopia are
- 0:39being hunted down and killed by violent
- 0:42Muslims. Our brothers and sisters in
- 0:45China, Korea, and other oppressive
- 0:47regimes are being crushed because they
- 0:49bear the name of Jesus. This isn't new.
- 0:52This is the legacy of the cross. Christ
- 0:55suffered. His people suffer. And our
- 0:57suffering reveals the power of God in
- 1:00us. Suffering isn't a sign of God's
- 1:02absence. It's a sign of our allegiance.
- 1:06We suffer to show that the love of God
- 1:08is stronger than the hatred of men. We
- 1:10suffer to prove God's righteousness
- 1:12against the darkness of the world. And
- 1:14we suffer because Christ suffered. And
- 1:16obedience always costs something. But
- 1:19here's the part we often forget in
- 1:21America. The lion is roaring here also.
- 1:25We may not face machetes or prison
- 1:27camps, but we are facing the pressure to
- 1:29be quiet, to blend in, and to avoid
- 1:32offending anyone with the truth of Jesus
- 1:34Christ. We fear losing business, and we
- 1:37fear family conflict. We fear the scorn
- 1:39of the culture. But if we don't identify
- 1:42with Jesus now, then the cost is small.
- 1:45And how will we stand later when the
- 1:47cost becomes more real? Brother,
- 1:50suffering isn't the enemy. Silence is,
- 1:53comfort is, compromise is. We must
- 1:56choose suffering before suffering
- 1:58chooses us. That means we willingly lay
- 2:01down our pleasure so we can lift up our
- 2:03persecuted brothers in prayer. We lay
- 2:05down our treasure so we can provide for
- 2:07believers who have lost everything. We
- 2:10lay down our reputation so our neighbors
- 2:12can hear the only name that saves. If we
- 2:15hide Christ, the enemy wins without even
- 2:18roaring. So run today's play. Identify
- 2:21yourself openly with Jesus. Pray for a
- 2:24persecuted brother by name. Give
- 2:26something meaningful to support
- 2:27believers suffering for Christ. Speak
- 2:30the name of Jesus at home, at work, in
- 2:33conversation boldly and lovingly. Men,
- 2:36the lion's roaring. Stand firm. Resist
- 2:39him. Join the family of believers
- 2:41worldwide who refuse to bow to fear.
- 2:44This is the call. This is the mission.
- 2:46This is today's play. Run it with
- 2:48courage. Thanks for joining the huddle.
