Seventy-six-year-old philanthropist Doug Martin honors his late parents Gordon and Thelma with a new river stage at Ludlow Memorial Park — a gift born from personal history and a desire to prevent rain-soaked cancellations. His father, a builder and community leader from Erlanger, and his mother, a Ludlow High School teacher, met and married in the town on January 1, 1949.
