- 0:06This is the AST Space Mobile podcast.
- 0:11Just basically from your phone, be seamless regardless of where
- 0:14you are. We don't want the user even to
- 0:16know that it's connected by satellite, satellite.
- 0:21Listen, the opportunity that we have is very, very, very large.
- 0:27Hey everyone, thanks for joining for this quick space before the
- 0:31market opens. Just wanted to get everyone
- 0:34together and talk about a few things.
- 0:37Yeah. So obviously over the weekend we
- 0:39had this news that the Iranian leadership was taken out by the
- 0:43US military. And it looks like we are in for
- 0:47a sustained campaign until not quite sure what's going to take
- 0:52place of the theocratic regime. It might be perhaps some lower
- 0:58level people coming in or maybe we get some flavor of democracy
- 1:01or or something. But at this point, I, I think
- 1:05from EU s s, the briefing this morning, it sounds like we're,
- 1:09you know, the US is not going in boots on the ground to nation
- 1:12build. And so the hope is that the
- 1:15Iranian people, you know, however long it takes, will come
- 1:19up with a form of government if there's enough military and
- 1:24economic pressure to force that type of outcome.
- 1:28But we'll see, you know, so we're in this period of
- 1:31uncertainty and of course, the markets over the weekend
- 1:35initially reacted negatively and then, you know, rebounded to a
- 1:38degree and break into the air is hanging in there pretty well as
- 1:42of today. But I think it's important to
- 1:45note that this was a long time coming.
- 1:47This has been an overhang arguably since the 70s, right?
- 1:52And so you've have this regime in Iran who has brought
- 1:58instability to the region and has been trying to develop
- 2:03nuclear capabilities through its proxies, has tried to, you know,
- 2:08spread instability throughout the region.
- 2:10And of course, you know, one of the, the MO's of, of the country
- 2:14is the complete elimination of Israel and of course, death to
- 2:18America, all that stuff. I, you know, I try to stay away
- 2:21from politics, but I think obviously this conflict is
- 2:26having a big impact on markets. And so it's something that that
- 2:29should be talked about. But from this point on, I mean,
- 2:33there has been a build up over the last few weeks and I tweeted
- 2:36about this, where the US was sending all the military
- 2:40capabilities out to the Middle East.
- 2:42And, and so I think the market was pricing in some percent
- 2:47probability of military, you know, intervention.
- 2:51And now we have it. And now it's a point of, you
- 2:55know, where does this go? Does it get worse?
- 2:59Does it get better? Worse, meaning maybe a much
- 3:02larger conflict and it brings in other countries.
- 3:06At this point, though, it does seem like Iran is out at the end
- 3:11of the stick. They're they're by themselves.
- 3:12Like, as people have probably read over the weekend there, it
- 3:16doesn't appeared that Russia or China are going to help Iran,
- 3:23whether that's militarily or economically.
- 3:26It seems like they're out on their own.
- 3:28I think by taking out the leadership structure there, it
- 3:32seems that, yeah, some of their allies, they don't, they're not
- 3:37sure who they're dealing with, I guess, but they also don't want
- 3:40to be drawn into a bigger conflict.
- 3:41And then it seems like, and I'm not, by the way, I'm not a
- 3:46political expert. I'm just, you know, commenting
- 3:48on some observations. I'm not.
- 3:51I don't pretend to be 1 nor should anyone you know take what
- 3:56I have to say is is an educated view on Middle East politics,
- 4:01which is really complex, right and goes back many hundreds of
- 4:05years. But but it does seem like the
- 4:08the rest of the region, for the most part, aside from the
- 4:11proxies that Iran operates in various countries are taking a
- 4:15step back or are supportive of the the strikes.
- 4:19And so, yeah, I mean, I think as I, as I mentioned before, this
- 4:23has been a long time coming. I think through various
- 4:27presidencies, it's always been an issue.
- 4:30You know, there's, there's always been Iran and North Korea
- 4:33as, as the key issues around instability, you know, powers
- 4:39that are that have very specific ideologies.
- 4:44And if they were to acquire nuclear weapons or the ability
- 4:48to deliver dirty bombs, whatever, what have you, that
- 4:51could be a bad thing because it's beyond just any
- 4:55geopolitical framework. But it when it comes to
- 4:58ideology, it could be more, more or less, you know, you can make
- 5:02decisions that may not seem rational to other people to and
- 5:06the world, right. And so this was a long time
- 5:09coming. I think the markets are going to
- 5:11are pricing it in and obviously there's a bunch of other things
- 5:16that the market has been thinking about.
- 5:17But then this, of course, depending on how this unfolds
- 5:21over the next few weeks, you know, now we have the event and
- 5:25and now it's a matter of which direction does it take.
- 5:28And so if you do have this outcome where Iran stabilizes
- 5:34and perhaps, you know, there is regime change and you have more
- 5:37moderate folks coming to power, you know, that would be viewed
- 5:41by global markets as quite positive.
- 5:43And, and of course, all the oil that Iran was selling for
- 5:48heavily discounted prices to China, you know, that would come
- 5:51to market and bring global prices down.
- 5:54And, and I think there is a number of articles over the
- 5:57weekend that has duly pointed out that, you know, it seems
- 6:00that the Trump administration is, is, you know, going, taking
- 6:05out some of these, these countries that are, I guess, you
- 6:11know, friendly to China who have been supporting China cause
- 6:15China's MO has been to get access to cheap energy and, and
- 6:20support some of these, you know, oppressive regimes in exchange
- 6:23for that. And so with the fall of
- 6:25Venezuela and then potentially Iran, that would be that, that
- 6:31would, you know, hurt China's ability to have not only stable
- 6:36energy supply, but cheap energy supply.
- 6:39So, so, yeah, from a Geo geopolitical perspective, this
- 6:44this definitely, you know, reshuffles the table quite a bit
- 6:48and and we'll see. I did post though or the
- 6:51weekend. You know, this is I believe, you
- 6:54know, I have friends who are Radian or, or you know, they may
- 6:57call themselves Persian who view.
- 7:00And obviously this is these are very, you know, US more, I
- 7:06guess, democratic centric views, but it's it's it's from folks
- 7:10who who have family still back in in Iran, but live here in the
- 7:15US. And so they obviously probably
- 7:17they're in the US and so they have a specific view, but people
- 7:20are quite excited about the potential for regime change and
- 7:23moving away from theocracy to something more along the lines
- 7:27of democracy. But, but we'll see.
- 7:30But yeah, I think we're obviously living in a pretty,
- 7:33you know, for some people, it might be, it might be a scary
- 7:37time, but it's also, I think a pretty exciting time because you
- 7:41could see a number of these folks who live under, who have
- 7:45lived under for decades, oppression, oppressive regimes,
- 7:48perhaps get a shot at something better, right?
- 7:51And so, so we'll see. But but yeah, this mark today,
- 7:55you know, the market is down a little.
- 7:57It's not down that much. And so I initially I was
- 8:01thinking, oh, maybe you'll, you'll get an opportunity where
- 8:04the market would gap down as, as folks kind of adjust risk and,
- 8:08and then, you know, reacting to what is viewed as, you know,
- 8:12instability in global markets. But I think so far at least it
- 8:17seems like Iran has been contained.
- 8:20And of course there's going to be ongoing, you know,
- 8:23retaliation from Iran And, you know, whenever they send
- 8:25missiles over, you know, I think there was like a refinery hit in
- 8:29Saudi Arabia, that's going to have an impact on global, you
- 8:34know, energy prices and then the perception of potentially risk
- 8:37expanding further. But that being said, you know, I
- 8:41think for those that have, those of us who have followed Iran for
- 8:46decades, there was always this fear that if you were to go in
- 8:50and attack around the, the reciprocal response would be
- 8:54pretty massive, right? And so maybe Israel or Saudi
- 8:58Arabia, any number of countries, you know, you'd have a ton of
- 9:02collateral damage from a response.
- 9:03But so far it's been somewhat contained.
- 9:05And from what I've read, it seems like a lot of Iran, not
- 9:09all, but a lot of Iran's missile capabilities have been taken
- 9:13out. And every time they they do roll
- 9:16out some of these launchers to go send another sortie of
- 9:19missiles to, you know, hit another country, those things
- 9:23get exposed. And when they get exposed, then
- 9:25they they get eliminated. So, so yeah, we'll, we'll see
- 9:29how things go. But I think, you know, for the
- 9:31markets, things have been it's somewhat stable, relatively
- 9:37speaking today and and we'll see how things go.
- 9:40I mean, I think because we didn't have this huge gap down
- 9:44and then, you know, maybe over the day, you could have risk
- 9:47coming off or over the day, maybe things from up.
- 9:49But but I think, you know, it's important to focus on
- 9:53fundamentals of of the companies that you hold right.
- 9:56And so obviously if you own a company like let's say an
- 10:00airline and global travel stopped and oil prices continue
- 10:04to move up, that's not a good thing, right?
- 10:06You don't want to, you might want to change your adjustments
- 10:11to owning an airline, which airlines are basically a short
- 10:15on oil and and along on global economy.
- 10:19And so to the extent you are invested in airlines and you
- 10:23might have to adjust. But if you own space companies,
- 10:26I think we saw over the other weekend some of the capabilities
- 10:29that these companies bring to bear.
- 10:31And so even, you know, I think we saw some of China's
- 10:35capabilities where they, they had these images of US bases in
- 10:40various various countries in, in the Middle East.
- 10:44And you know, China had tweeted that they had cataloged all the
- 10:46planes. And you know, depending on who
- 10:49you believe, that perhaps was a deception tactic where they
- 10:52parked all these F35 or F20 twos out at various air bases.
- 10:57And then they actually didn't use those planes, They used
- 10:59other ones. And so I think it may have
- 11:01given, you know, trying to may have gotten intelligence that
- 11:04these planes are on the ground and they weren't moving.
- 11:06And then they pass that along to their Iran Iranian colleagues.
- 11:09And then of course, the information was wrong there.
- 11:12There were other planes that were up in the air at the time
- 11:15of the attacks. And, but, but you saw there the
- 11:18importance of space assets. I think for example, Planet
- 11:22Labs, some people were using images from from to highlight
- 11:26some of the strikes in Iran. And then also, you know, there
- 11:33were a number of a few moments later.
- 11:42Hey everyone, sorry about that. Hopefully you can hear me.
- 11:44I think my, I lost the Internet for a second, so maybe, maybe
- 11:48some Iranian operators took my space out Anyway.
- 11:53I, I think, I believe I, I remember where I left off.
- 11:56But but yeah, you know, some of the, this past weekend we saw,
- 12:02we assume we saw some of the space capabilities of being
- 12:07brought, brought to bear in, in the attack on Iran.
- 12:09And so I think it's important to note that that the space sector,
- 12:14you know, ASD Space Mobile Planet, Black Sky, Rocket Lab,
- 12:18all these companies all play a pretty important part of what we
- 12:24currently bring to bear and contested environments, but also
- 12:28for the future, especially as we think about Golden Dome.
- 12:32Also, you know, I, there was some speculation, for example,
- 12:34of I think in, in Europe company, sorry, not Europe and
- 12:40Israel potentially using like laser technologies to take down
- 12:44set to take down missiles. And there was I think Penny
- 12:49Check has talked about this company LASR, which I'm not
- 12:52involved in, but it's kind of cool to see some of these
- 12:55emerging technologies being used.
- 12:56But anyway, moving on to the markets, you know, I think now
- 13:01we have, you know, a a degree of uncertainty.
- 13:03It depends on where things are going to go in terms of
- 13:05direction. But yeah, I think overall the
- 13:07markets are Emily pretty well. And so, you know, over this
- 13:13coming week and as the days unfold here, we'll see.
- 13:16But in in particular for specific names, you know, I
- 13:20think for space names, I'm quite bullish.
- 13:23I think obviously this is a big year for space.
- 13:25And now that we are seeing armed conflict and you know, some of
- 13:31the assets from space being utilized.
- 13:33I mean, for example, China, there was a post from I forgot
- 13:38which Chinese social media account talking about how GPS
- 13:40jamming is going on in the Strait of Hormuz.
- 13:43That's a big deal, right? And so companies like AST Space
- 13:46Mobile are working on backup GPS systems, PNT or next generation
- 13:51systems. And so all these things are
- 13:53going to play a very particular role in the future of these
- 13:58contestant environments. And so I think it's important to
- 14:01know what you own. And I think, you know, obviously
- 14:05the market, there's market uncertainty, but some of there's
- 14:07going to be some big winners right from, from this conflict
- 14:11in Iran and, and the utilization of these next generation
- 14:16technology. And so, yeah, moving on to space
- 14:19Mobile, I mean, today was is great.
- 14:22We've got three large announcements, although there
- 14:25are a few other smaller ones too.
- 14:27But Orange, Vodafone, Three, Hutchinson, Telefonica all
- 14:32announced that they're working with satellite Connect in
- 14:37Europe, which is the JV with Vodafone.
- 14:40And so that represents 3 of the top, well including Hutchinson,
- 14:46that's four of the top five MN OS in Europe.
- 14:49We also had a an announcement by Sunrise, which is a smaller
- 14:52Swiss player announcing that they're working with in
- 14:56satellite connect in Europe. So, so yeah, really bullish
- 14:59news. I think it's important to look
- 15:02at the European landscape where St. so far is pretty much locked
- 15:06up majority of the carriers. Not to be outdone though,
- 15:09Starlink did announce that. Finally, Deutsche Telekom, which
- 15:12is the parent of T-Mobile, they announced their intention to
- 15:16work with Starlink. It's starting in 2028.
- 15:18And the reason why that is, is that Starlink mobile announced
- 15:24their some details around their next generation satellite.
- 15:27For example, for people who haven't seen, you know, they
- 15:30they plan on having a larger phased array surprise, surprise
- 15:34and they purport to have they're going to be able to put down
- 15:37more precise cell beams, surprise, surprise.
- 15:39I mean, these are all things that AST already does and you
- 15:43know, architected to their solution from first principles
- 15:47ground up. But Starlink is pushing for
- 15:50that. They want to be able to deliver
- 15:52a similar type of service. And so the reason why Deutsche
- 15:56Telekom announced its partnership today and that it
- 15:59won't be until 2028 till they'll be able to use it.
- 16:03The current Starlink satellites are a minimally viable product.
- 16:07They put down very large beams that that are not fix cell and
- 16:13so they don't they don't respect the borders of countries.
- 16:18And so it's really hard to deliver service with the current
- 16:22architecture of Starlink's direct to sell satellites.
- 16:25And so they need to wait for the next generation, which won't be
- 16:28operational until 2028. But the reason why Deutsche
- 16:32Telecom announced that deal today is that they're trying to
- 16:37help Starlink for through the Echostar spectrum acquisition.
- 16:41They're trying to position the company to get their two
- 16:45gigahertz spectrum allocation renewed for 2027.
- 16:50And so for Echostar, for those that don't know, Echostar has a
- 16:55has an allocation of two gigahertz spectrum in Europe.
- 16:58It's coming up for renewal in 2027.
- 17:00And you know that it seems like ASD Space Mobile through its
- 17:05European JV is well positioned to get an allocation without any
- 17:09sponsorship from Europe. It looked like Echostar was not
- 17:12going to get an allocation. That said today deutsche.com
- 17:16said that they're going to use their service.
- 17:18And so it seems like they're trying to position Echostar
- 17:21slash Starlink to get an allocation.
- 17:23And so that was very strategic today.
- 17:25We'll see. I think the the big wild card
- 17:28for Echostar and getting that reallocation or renewal is the
- 17:34fact that, you know, Elon Musk obviously is, is quite active in
- 17:39anti European politics. And so we'll see if that
- 17:42actually impacts their ability to to get oops, my my cat just
- 17:49jumped on me if that will impact their ability to get spectrum.
- 17:55But anyway, yeah, so that was some of the big news today.
- 17:59I, I expect we'll hear quite a bit more when ASD announces
- 18:03earnings after the close today. They also for what it's worth,
- 18:06in some of these announcements they talked about having beta
- 18:10testing this summer. And so I think that's a bit of a
- 18:13hint in terms of how the company thinks it's, it's launch cadence
- 18:18is going to come along. And so for folks, obviously
- 18:20we're all waiting to hear about batch updates.
- 18:24We might hear something after the close today is my guess.
- 18:26But but yeah, the fact that the company is targeting, you know,
- 18:32initial service, beta service in the summer, seems like the
- 18:35timeline is is intact. So the other the other cool
- 18:42announcement today was Taiwan Mobile announced a a partnership
- 18:46with ASD space mobile. Taiwan Mobile is one of the top
- 18:49three carriers in Taiwan. Obviously for for people who
- 18:55followed geopolitics, Taiwan is a very interesting is an
- 19:00interesting situation with, you know, China obviously trying to
- 19:03reclaim Taiwan as its own. I think obviously satellite
- 19:08direct to cell direct to device connectivity is really important
- 19:11when you think about the potential for some armed
- 19:15conflict there. And so Taiwan is a very
- 19:17mountainous region. They have very dense urban areas
- 19:21and and great cell coverage. However, in some of these
- 19:24mountainous areas or on the coast, coverage can be somewhat
- 19:27spotty. But I think it's important to
- 19:31note that for a company like or country like Taiwan, in a
- 19:35conflict where an adversary could take the cell network down
- 19:39or you know, you, you have, whether it's taking the entire
- 19:43network down or parts of it get taken down.
- 19:45Of course, you also have natural disasters, whether that's you
- 19:51know her, I guess we call them typhoons in Asia, but then also
- 19:56earthquakes. Having a backup network besides
- 20:00aside from just covering dead zones, but having a network that
- 20:03can light up spectrum during these periods of whether it's
- 20:08uncertainty and in war or if it's natural disasters, that's
- 20:12really important. So signing Taiwan Mobile.
- 20:15I think it's a is a big deal. I'm not sure if the market, I
- 20:18know I looking at Bloomberg, I don't think they've they've
- 20:20caught the news, but that's a pretty big one.
- 20:24And so you know that that's the first in Taiwan.
- 20:27And so I would assume that perhaps AST with the N 1 of this
- 20:30might sign some of these other carriers as well.
- 20:33But yeah, that's that's pretty big news there.
- 20:35And so I think, you know, there's been a number of
- 20:39speaking engagements at Mobile World Congress.
- 20:41We're going to get some really interesting Nuggets.
- 20:43Obviously, you know, Abell, Jennifer Manor, you know, Scott
- 20:48was a new skier there. And so we might see them
- 20:50speaking as well as you've seen a number of executives, whether
- 20:54today Vodafone CEO Margarita Develle gave a talk about
- 20:59Satellite Connect Europe and then also John Stanky, the CEO
- 21:03of AT&T spoke about director device as well.
- 21:06And so, you know, you've got Mobile World Congress happening
- 21:10this entire week. And so I expect additional news
- 21:13coming out, not that I mean, today it was a pretty big
- 21:16delusion. I, I woke up at, I think it was
- 21:19like 4:00 AM to just check things and I saw all these
- 21:21announcements. And so I was like, crap, I need
- 21:23to get up soon and, and start tweening this stuff out.
- 21:26But but yeah, what it's exciting day.
- 21:29A lot of great news out of Mobile Congress.
- 21:31And of course, we've got earnings after the close, which
- 21:34I think we'll get some really great updates.
- 21:37Probably my guess is some color around production cadence, like
- 21:42a confirmation of 6 highlights per month and perhaps an update
- 21:45on the batch launch or sorry, batch delivery and a whole host
- 21:48of other things. Yeah, so, so an exciting, I
- 21:53think update after the close today.
- 21:56The other thing I had mentioned before is, you know, which I
- 21:59think I got cut off when I was speaking about it.
- 22:02But yeah, just go through the names that you own 'cause
- 22:06obviously this conflict is going to be a positive for some
- 22:10companies. So I think, for example, space
- 22:11companies are going to be positively impacted by this,
- 22:14especially those that have a defense angle, which many of
- 22:18them do, whether that's Earth, Earth observation,
- 22:21communications launch, you know, radar sensing, PNT, all these
- 22:26things like really important. But also, you know, for some of
- 22:30the names that I'm covering, for example, T1 Energy, if we have a
- 22:34prolonged, you know, spike in energy prices, right?
- 22:37Or and of course the US, you know, given the instability of
- 22:41is focused on energy security and sovereignty, that's good for
- 22:46solar names, right? And so I think obviously for T1
- 22:50energy in an environment where you have instability in the
- 22:56Middle East or, or not like if, if obviously I'm hoping Iran
- 23:01gets resolved peacefully. You know, it's not as if the
- 23:05inexorable horizon AI data centers and building those out
- 23:09is going to change. And over the weekend, I, I
- 23:11posted a tweet, I think it was from Zero Hedge, where I think
- 23:16this is the first time in history where data center builds
- 23:19growth is or data centers. Yeah, the build, the build
- 23:22growth is higher than office buildings, right.
- 23:25And so that's, that's flipped. And and I guess for the
- 23:27foreseeable future, we're going to be building more data centers
- 23:30than offices, which makes sense. But but yeah, you're going to
- 23:33have to feed all those energy centers with energy.
- 23:35And so whether that's not gas, coal maybe I guess, but solar is
- 23:41obviously in a very important part of the equation.
- 23:44Wind, hydro, pretty much all sorts of energy are going to
- 23:47need to be brought to bear. But let's see here.
- 23:52But yeah, that's, that's kind of all I had for today.
- 23:56You know, I think the markets are responding pretty positively
- 23:59as I mentioned before, I mean the market had been pricing in
- 24:02some type of military action for weeks, right?
- 24:04And so you've seen, I think line Capital, who's a friend of mine
- 24:09had posted or the weekend, the the positioning, especially
- 24:13input options as a hedging had been so extreme and negative
- 24:16heading into this that now, you know, if, if if we had a
- 24:21different outcome over the weekend where we had Israel and
- 24:24the US had struck Iran and and it failed and taking out the,
- 24:28you know, Ayatollah and failed taking out leadership and maybe
- 24:32things got botched, then, then yeah, you could have had a
- 24:34pretty bad market reaction. But it seems like so far things
- 24:41are going according to plan and seeing what seems somewhat
- 24:44contained, where as I mentioned before, you don't have, you
- 24:48know, Russia and China stepping in for all potential purposes
- 24:51that are hands off. You've got what seems to be a
- 24:57most of the Middle East either proactively supporting this or
- 25:01not helping Iran. And of course, you know, some of
- 25:04Iran's proxies are stepping in. But you know those, those, those
- 25:09proxies, by the way, like if Iran does, if the theocratic
- 25:13regime does fall, then those proxies are not going to get
- 25:16funded and they're going to get weakened pretty significantly.
- 25:18So you could, I mean, I'm, I'm an optimistic person by nature,
- 25:22but you could see a situation hopefully where we get a more
- 25:27moderate form of government that eventually comes in and, and
- 25:32perhaps, you know, some, some rationality restored and, and
- 25:36perhaps, yeah, I mean, it could be I've, I'm not, I mean, I
- 25:41mean, I try not to talk politics, but you know, I've
- 25:44been skeptical of this administration from the
- 25:46beginning. But as I mentioned this weekend,
- 25:49if, if this administration is able to pull something off where
- 25:54Iran does get to a point of, of democracy or something at least
- 26:01as far away from theocracy, but that's moderate and, and re
- 26:05engages with, with the global, global community, then it will
- 26:11be a pretty significant accomplishment of this
- 26:12administration, one that many administrations prior could not
- 26:17accomplish. And so, you know, I I'm with
- 26:20bated breath like I'm, I'm hoping things work out well for
- 26:23the Iranian people. And, you know, as I've mentioned
- 26:26before, maybe if, if it wasn't cut off, you know, the folks
- 26:30that I know who still have family and Iran are very hopeful
- 26:33and looking forward to the potential for something better
- 26:38than than what was before, you know, the theocracy get
- 26:42replaced. And and so we'll see.
- 26:44But but yeah, that's pretty much my quick update.
- 26:47Looking forward to see how this week unfolds.
- 26:51I think if, if things do or you know, if, if I ran the military
- 26:59apparatus gets, you know, weakened as, you know, as, as
- 27:02they launch for missiles and then those, those, the, the
- 27:07launchers get exposed and they get taken out.
- 27:09And, you know, you start to see I, I believe this morning that
- 27:12in the brief the US said that they've achieved air
- 27:14superiority. And so we'll see how things
- 27:17unfold here, but I'm optimistic on markets and especially for
- 27:22space companies. And so yeah, looking forward to
- 27:25the AST call this this afternoon and I'll I'll perhaps do a space
- 27:29after that. But yeah, I hope everyone had a
- 27:32good weekend. And as I mentioned before, in
- 27:35times of volatility, do not overextend yourself, you know,
- 27:39don't get, don't go crazy on margin or leverage because you
- 27:43know that even though I'm optimistic on things, you know,
- 27:46things can be volatile, some unforeseen things can, can
- 27:49happen and, and of course, market will adjust to those.
- 27:51So stay vigilant and yeah, be strategic and not, not
- 27:57overextend yourself 'cause I think in periods like this where
- 28:01there's uncertainty, volatility can be your friend.
- 28:04And you can, you know, get bargains at the right time.
- 28:06And, and obviously things overreact and you can trade
- 28:09volatility. And, and for retail investors
- 28:12who are, who have capital on hand and are managing the risk
- 28:17properly, volatility is your absolute friend because for
- 28:20institutions that try to manage absolute returns and try to be
- 28:25fully hedged, it's tough to navigate.
- 28:27But for retail investors, this is, these are the type of
- 28:31environments that we look for, right?
- 28:32This is where opportunity truly comes.
- 28:34So with that, I'll end the space and we'll catch up again perhaps
- 28:38later this evening or tomorrow. Take care.
