- 0:00We got to have common sense. Larry Blytner. Darren O'Neill.
- 0:06It's Sunday, August 9th, 2026. This is your Gitmo Nation
- 0:09Media Assassination, episode 1893. This is no agenda. Yes, we're
- 0:15broadcasting live from just outside of Chiraq, right here in
- 0:18FEMA Region Number 5. In the morning, everybody, I'm Darren
- 0:21O'Neill. And from the pretentious Connecticut shore, this is Larry
- 0:25Blydener keeping commies and creeps at bay with my gleaming
- 0:28scimitar of truth. It's Darren and Larry! But was Billy
- 0:35Idol okay coming into that area? I mean, with all
- 0:37the commies? Billy was dynamite. What a show. It was
- 0:42just electric. I'm still amped up from it. I'm pretty
- 0:45dangerous, so watch yourself, really. It was insane. Steve Stevens
- 0:50was on fire. 10,000 people screaming Billy. And you know
- 0:54what? That dude will be 71 this November. And he
- 1:00moves like he's half that age and looks at, he
- 1:02took off his shirt and threw it into the crowd
- 1:04and he didn't look really bad. You know, like, wow.
- 1:08Yeah, I'm not trying that anytime soon. It was absolutely
- 1:12spectacular. I'm hoping maybe when Adam joins us later, maybe
- 1:15he's got a Billy Idol story. You know, he knew
- 1:17all those rock stars and stuff. We will be joined,
- 1:21yeah, by the Podfather. Dude, I gotta, okay, I wasn't,
- 1:24I was gonna wait, but you're gonna ask me for
- 1:26a Billy Idol story. You did. You nailed it. Nailed
- 1:30it, Larry. Man, you know that Billy Idol dated downtown
- 1:35Julie Brown. Really? Oh, yeah, and it was just creepy.
- 1:41Those two, they were so creepy together. How creepy? Can
- 1:48you give me, like, for instance? Just like, you know,
- 1:51just tonguing each other in the hallways. Get a room,
- 1:56man. Get a room. It was nasty. Well, she was
- 1:59kind of nasty. I'm sure she's very nice now, now
- 2:03that she's married to a big Hollywood producer. to work.
- 2:08In the morning to you boys. How you doing? In
- 2:10the morning there, Adam. Doing good. Great. I apologize I
- 2:15don't sound like myself because this was a rare occasion
- 2:19where we traveled and I didn't have to lug along
- 2:21the entire portable studio. I'm like, I'm not going to
- 2:23have time. I'm just going to bring along my little
- 2:26PodMobile plug-in device. You sound great, really. Yeah, thanks. You
- 2:33do. Really? Okay. Yeah. It's funny how whenever you're setting
- 2:38something up, and I just have a little tripod for
- 2:41the microphone, I don't have my boom arm. It's always,
- 2:46you know, whenever you're looking for something. to build the
- 2:50studio with in a hotel room it's always the trash
- 2:52can for some reason the trash can is always the
- 2:55perfect the perfect device you know so i got i
- 2:58got it on top of the the trash can exactly
- 3:01the right height so yeah i'm here in um in
- 3:03san francisco and uh we were here for uh john
- 3:09memorial yesterday and but first of all man there were
- 3:12memorials all over the world the the meetups that were
- 3:16taking place uh horowitz did a did a big thing
- 3:19in fort lauderdale and he was doing like john trivia
- 3:24and he had prizes and all kinds of stuff and
- 3:28uh uh we have what do we have darren like
- 3:31five or six meetup reports already ten ten already wow
- 3:37um which um which i know you guys will play
- 3:39later i'm i'm just i'm literally so tired that I
- 3:45wish I could be here for the whole show but
- 3:47I this was Yesterday, it just all came out. It
- 3:52was like just the weeks, but honestly months because of
- 3:57John's earlier medical stuff. And, you know, just... dragging the
- 4:02cart along, but with lots of help from everybody and
- 4:06just really not knowing. It was closure. It was big
- 4:09closure for me personally. But it was so, I mean,
- 4:14maybe I should just do it chronologically. We got in,
- 4:17we flew out Friday from Austin. So that by itself
- 4:21is just such a hassle, man. It's like an hour
- 4:24and 45 drive for us. And then, you know, Southwest
- 4:27was... plays and just all so anyway we get in
- 4:32we get into the hotel um and we come in
- 4:35we're in like 7 30 and uh dana brunetti uh
- 4:39who doesn't know him hollywood producer of the biggest movies
- 4:42in the world and his beautiful wife alex they said
- 4:44well we'll come to the hotel we'll grab some dinner
- 4:47so i mean we had great, great dinner with Brunetti.
- 4:52He and his wife, I've never met him in person.
- 4:55Just a lovely, lovely guy. So no agenda, so anti-Hollywood.
- 5:01He is one of us, man, I'll tell you that.
- 5:03He is one of us. And then the next day,
- 5:07everybody... was coming in we had uh sir mark and
- 5:11dame astrid flew in from tokyo which is just you
- 5:14know they are the the archduke and archduchess of japan
- 5:18and the japan sea and all the disputed islands and
- 5:22i mean these these people they've been listening since episode
- 5:25one wow they've been with the show And for people
- 5:30who don't know them, you should just look up Klein
- 5:33Dytham Architects in Tokyo. They have done some of the
- 5:38most amazing buildings in Tokyo. I think they've probably done
- 5:42like 25% of Tokyo's most beautiful buildings. Like the... the
- 5:49emperor's library you know they did the i think the
- 5:52the fender guitar building i think it's a fender guitar
- 5:55building yeah uh sony building they've just done such amazing
- 5:59projects and they're just lovely lovely people he's british she's
- 6:04um swiss But they've both been in Japan forever. Also
- 6:10flying in for this occasion was Voyage Zero, Mark, coming
- 6:13in from the Netherlands. Wow. He, I mean, just, it
- 6:16was... I haven't seen him in... 12 years, last time
- 6:22since I saw him in person. Sir Patrick Coble, of
- 6:25course. Sir Patrick Coble is everywhere, every single place. Anywhere
- 6:29there's something good, a meetup, Sir Patrick Coble is always
- 6:32there. So we hung out with them for a little
- 6:35bit, had kind of a lunch. I really couldn't eat
- 6:40much. I knew I was going to be speaking. They
- 6:44had me on the lineup for this gig. and So
- 6:51we all went to the chapel in Oakland. Beautiful, just,
- 6:55thing is like, I don't know, must be over 100
- 6:57years old. Probably about 70 people there. Um, and as
- 7:05you know so mimi said a few words uh eric
- 7:07the shoe with his wife Danelle from South Dakota. People
- 7:12know Eric DeChille. He used to do the back office
- 7:14before Jay came in to do that. And he was
- 7:19master of ceremonies. Then Marty Higgins, who wrote many of
- 7:24the jokes for... For John and throughout the years, he's
- 7:30been friends with Mimi, I think, first for, I don't
- 7:33know, 40 years. He did the eulogy. It was kind
- 7:37of cool because he came to me later and he
- 7:39says, you know, I have something. And most of these
- 7:41people were as old as wood. I mean, they're all
- 7:44like in their 70s and 80s. I'll just be honest
- 7:46about it. And Marty's like, you know, do you remember
- 7:51when John was doing the Confucius stuff? I'm like, yeah,
- 7:54I remember that. Do you remember that, Darren or Larry,
- 7:56when John would open the show and he would do
- 7:58a Confucius says? Well, I've got to find that. He
- 8:02was doing this for maybe a month. And they would
- 8:06be okay, you know. I think a Confucius says maybe
- 8:10is not the best thing for an opening. But anyway,
- 8:13so Marty comes up to me. He says, do you
- 8:16remember the Confucius says stuff? I say, yeah. wrote those
- 8:19uh-huh he said you got to understand the backstory john
- 8:23called me up one day and said i got a
- 8:26great idea for a book i got a great idea
- 8:28for a book it's a comedy book and it's just
- 8:30filled with confucius says and so and and marty says
- 8:34but i guess you didn't like it or something i
- 8:36never knew it was supposed to be a book john
- 8:38just was throwing this stuff at me i'm like okay
- 8:40he gives me a list of 250 confucius says that
- 8:46he wrote for that book and uh i mean it
- 8:49They are so, so, most of them I can't even
- 8:53read on the air. Right. I mean, when it starts
- 8:56with lesbian who curl hair, I mean, no, I'm just
- 8:59going to leave that one where it is. Did he
- 9:03do it with a Chinese accent? Just checking pictures. If
- 9:09John tried to do it with a Chinese accent, that
- 9:11may have been part of the problem now that I
- 9:12think about it. Oh, okay. All right. Yeah. And anyway,
- 9:19so Marty does the eulogy. Funny. I mean, he's a
- 9:23he used to be Marty in the morning. You know,
- 9:25he did radio morning radio back in the. late 70s.
- 9:30So these are all just really interesting people. Then Brandon
- 9:34Jay's husband spoke and he just had a lovely bit
- 9:37about, you know, how he asked John if he could
- 9:40marry Jay twice. And you can only imagine how hilarious
- 9:44that situation went both times. Then I... in my piece
- 9:51and then they had kind of an open mic which
- 9:55was appropriate because there were comedians and there were just
- 9:57wild and wacky people there
- 10:00– and I've always known this, but it was said
- 10:00So Void Zero was phenomenal. You know the sysadmin who's
- 10:04always quiet and doesn't say much and he just kind
- 10:06of sits there and makes everything run? Yeah. Man, Void
- 10:10Zero, we almost had to give him the hook. He
- 10:12wouldn't stop. He had written 10,000 words, but it was
- 10:18all so beautiful. And you could just tell how everyone
- 10:24had been affected by John. And then you got like
- 10:26the old PC. mag publishing days which mimi doesn't even
- 10:31know them that predated her and john's relationship there were
- 10:34stories about how john had ghost written the the first
- 10:38book by adam osborne i mean this is going back
- 10:42right um guys who were uh in the original uh
- 10:47you know deck day days of computing and everybody kind
- 10:51of had the same basic story about John where he'd
- 10:55call you up and go hey you know that was
- 10:57how John called you on the phone and never called
- 10:59me but you know the one time he did hey
- 11:02and and everybody had very similar stories some people were
- 11:06just like wow that these guys exist you know that
- 11:13they really that they're from these old computer days and
- 11:16they had stories about just like you know devices and
- 11:20peripherals that you'd recognize and how john was you know
- 11:24just always uh all on top of this and and
- 11:27a common Theme You know, people might often get the
- 11:36so perfectly about one of the speakers that John, it
- 11:40always sounded like he was just crapping on everything. You
- 11:43know, like the mouse and the iPad and the Apple
- 11:47Watch and all. this stuff and the point was made
- 11:51that john actually because of how he wrote about these
- 11:55things drove people to make better products true and i
- 12:00think that's true that you know just the way he
- 12:03would just just drive a wedge into anything that people
- 12:07were trying to make that was cool including myself by
- 12:11the way when i would be so proud of the
- 12:13howard stern interview i did and he said sucked it
- 12:15sucked he didn't mention the show didn't mention the show
- 12:18enough i don't think he even mentioned me you know
- 12:20just on it but and it made me better and
- 12:23that was a very very clear um message from everybody
- 12:28there was a Oh yeah, that's clear even with the
- 12:31art stuff. I mean, Dvorak was great. If he liked
- 12:35my stuff, it wasn't anywhere near as fun. Exactly. And
- 12:40I guess I knew that inherently, but it's not until
- 12:44people started saying it that he was so, you know,
- 12:47John could have. in a multi multi multi-millionaire because he
- 12:53had inside dirt on all products he could have gone
- 12:55to work for any company told him how to do
- 12:57it but that wasn't what he did he wrote about
- 13:01how these products sucked because he felt they could be
- 13:04better now he didn't necessarily always say it would be
- 13:07better if but That really was a big part of
- 13:12his role in the world. And I really came to
- 13:15appreciate that, hearing that yesterday. Oh, yeah. Not like computers
- 13:19became a thing. Yeah. It was all in vain, obviously.
- 13:24Think about the world that he actually molded with his
- 13:27words at the back of those PC magazines and elsewhere.
- 13:32It is quite amazing. It all kind of came together
- 13:36for me when Sir Patrick Coble and many of the
- 13:40NOAA gender producers and artists were in on this and
- 13:44they helped crowdfund it and helped find... the different knickknacks.
- 13:50I posted it on X. Sir Patrick Cole made two
- 13:53shadow boxes. You know, shadow boxes. I guess typically, like,
- 13:59you get one if you served in the armed forces
- 14:01or you had a child who was killed somewhere in
- 14:03the armed forces. You get, you know, this beautiful wooden
- 14:06box with glass in front and has the flag and
- 14:09their medals and their picture, et cetera. And, you know,
- 14:12Patrick's an ex-Marine. And these things, you've got to zoom
- 14:16in on this picture. these different artifacts of John and
- 14:22of me and of no agenda including a an HO
- 14:25scale model of the Zephyr that had one of the
- 14:28you know the a mouse in there, it had an
- 14:31MTV patch, it had a first gen iPod. You know,
- 14:35back in the day when John was taking digital pictures
- 14:38and always saying your camera, your camera, your phone's camera
- 14:41sucks. Why do you use that? Of course, he was
- 14:43trying to make that better and it did get better
- 14:45over time. You know, a little handheld digital camera. one
- 14:50of his Dvorak speaking, typing tutor software packages. I mean,
- 14:55just such a lovely, I mean, I couldn't hold it
- 15:00together, man, when he gave that to me. And he
- 15:02even had it custom made for a suitcase because it
- 15:05had to fit in the suitcase for us to take
- 15:08it back. I mean, that just, I mean, Noah Jenner
- 15:11Nation, man, just so beautiful. Nothing like it in the
- 15:15world. Nothing. There really is nothing like it in the
- 15:18world. Let me see if I got everybody in here.
- 15:22Well, so. What was I, there was something, another point
- 15:28I was gonna, oh yes. Victoria Racagne, I don't know
- 15:32if you know who she is. She's like the CBS,
- 15:35CBS LA entertainment reporter. And I actually had forgotten this,
- 15:43but the one time I went to John's house, the
- 15:45one time I was invited and not allowed to go
- 15:47see the studio was a Thanksgiving. And he'd invited Victoria
- 15:52as well. She's this really cute Asian L.A. reporter. And
- 15:59she's like an undercover Republican, Catholic, of course could never
- 16:02let on about that, doing her job. But John knew
- 16:04all about her. And she and several other people. I
- 16:10mean, would just stand up and say, you know, people
- 16:13don't understand how John helped me in my career. He
- 16:15would give me the same thing that he's doing to
- 16:17the PC industry. He would critique my work, tell me
- 16:20what to do, but he would also make connections. Like,
- 16:23I'll call this person now. They're waiting for you. He
- 16:25helped so many people further their careers that people don't
- 16:29even know about. So just, I mean, just unbelievably beautiful
- 16:35to hear all of that. We've had a slideshow. You
- 16:38know, there's the little urn, in there which i always
- 16:40find creepy you know john's in there has no way
- 16:43he fits in there um his kids were there of
- 16:47course and then we all walked down the street to
- 16:49kona barcona which is like a tiki bar um the
- 16:53lovely folks from violetta pizza who have a place right
- 16:57across the street they brought in pizza um you know
- 17:00everybody was just hanging out and just just having a
- 17:04very very very good time dame rita from sparks in
- 17:08the back showed up i mean just it was mind-blowing
- 17:13um how much love there was for john and i
- 17:17think it was really good that we all just got
- 17:20to have some closure at this point um and you
- 17:24know at a certain point tina looks at me and
- 17:26she says am i gonna have to carry you to
- 17:27the car i say yeah So we just had to
- 17:32go home and like, now I'm staying here today. There's
- 17:36a lot of paperwork I've got to help Mimi with
- 17:39because you can imagine not everything was all set up
- 17:41for this moment in time. So we have some bank
- 17:46stuff to do. She can't actually. There's bank accounts. Nice.
- 17:52That's worse than no password. No, we got the passwords
- 17:57we got. Because, you know, she had always said, John,
- 17:59well, what if? And John said, nah, you'll figure it
- 18:01out. Well, here we are. We're figuring it out. We
- 18:05are literally figuring it out. I mean, can you believe
- 18:07that? Yes. We're figuring it out. So it was just
- 18:12great. And I'm so looking forward to hearing the meetup
- 18:14reports from everybody from around Gitmo Nation. And without exception,
- 18:20everybody says, hey, I really like this combo of Darren
- 18:23and Larry coming in. There's something going on here. Like
- 18:29Sir Patrick Coble had a, I thought, an interesting idea
- 18:32that, you know, if people, we have so many boots
- 18:34on the ground. It's one of the secrets of No
- 18:36Agenda is we have somebody who's an expert in whatever
- 18:40the story of the day is. And it's so easy
- 18:43for everybody to just record something. Maybe if there's something
- 18:47going on, you can send it in. be a way
- 18:50to work that into the show. I think, Darren, you
- 18:52already got three or four different new openings for the
- 18:55show. Yes, and of course we can work on always
- 18:58more is good, more choices. Yeah. I see Mike Riley
- 19:01has just been reactivated. He's doing art now. I mean,
- 19:05come on, man. This is awesome. Thank you. agenda nation
- 19:10it's just so so beautiful to see all of this
- 19:13happening yeah when uh the third duke of the south
- 19:16came looking for artists for those shadow boxes i'm like
- 19:18well you don't want me but you want mike riley
- 19:20and roger roundy and a few others and uh right
- 19:25You know, they're not the AI junkies, man. They know
- 19:27how to... Mike Reilly's stuff is amazing. Yeah, thank you.
- 19:32Actually, I'm just remembering now that I hit the bat
- 19:34signal, but I didn't post it on X. So why
- 19:35don't you guys talk amongst yourselves, and I'll do what
- 19:37I was supposed to do here. You got to boost
- 19:39the toot. You got to let everybody know the show
- 19:42is live. If you're not listening on a podcasting 2.0
- 19:45app, you are missing out. Because that way you get
- 19:50your notification when the show goes live. You want to
- 19:55listen live. Yeah, absolutely. Have you guys been following Trump's
- 19:59hair?
- 20:00That seems to be the biggest news of the moment.
- 20:02What is going on with Trump's hair? It's all got
- 20:04bigger. What? He's gotten bigger? I didn't see any photos.
- 20:09I just saw something like it's blown out or something.
- 20:12I don't know if he's looking to go maybe try
- 20:15out for the WNBA. Who knows? I think he needs
- 20:19a stronger grade of hairspray because it seems like it's
- 20:23blowing out of place a lot more easily. So I
- 20:25think that might be part of it. Well, Larry, you
- 20:27say you always could see a toupee. Is this real?
- 20:29Yes, I can. That is my superpower. I don't know
- 20:30if Adam knows that yet, but I can spot a
- 20:32rug from across the floor. Is Trump's real? Yeah, his
- 20:37real. It's not quite as impressive as the vasectomy, but
- 20:40it's an important skill to have. That was really, really
- 20:46impressive. I got to say that. No kidding. Vasectomy spotting,
- 20:49like what? Did I recall the underpinning of that was
- 20:55the reduced T counts or something, and so they didn't
- 20:57quite comport themselves with as much masculinity as an unvasectomized
- 21:02guy would? What did he base that on? vasectomies were
- 21:07done Back in the day, I don't know, 1800s, I
- 21:12forget what century, were performed as a youth-making experience to
- 21:19make someone appear younger. So, you know, kind of like
- 21:22the Botox of the day. Right. It seems a little
- 21:25more painful, but that was the Botox of the day.
- 21:29make men want to look... Even then, back in those
- 21:321700s, 1800s, you wanted to look a little feminine. That
- 21:35was kind of sexy of the day. Maybe that's been
- 21:38Billy Idol's secret. If Steve Stevens is still playing with
- 21:43Billy? Is he playing? You know what? Riddle me this.
- 21:47Why is that guy's name not up there with Hendrix
- 21:50and Clapton and Becks? He should absolutely be there. I
- 21:55interviewed him back in the late 80s. came into the
- 22:00studio, because I think it might have been Headbangers Ball,
- 22:03I don't remember. And this is, you remember these days,
- 22:06Larry, back in the day, like when even the VJs
- 22:09got gold and platinum records, and like, yeah, thanks for
- 22:12helping, son, here's something to hang on your wall. And
- 22:16he came in and he gave me his signature Steve
- 22:19Stevens hammer guitar. I still have it. I still have
- 22:23it. Signed by Steve Stevens, yeah. He was just a
- 22:27nice guy. That's so New York, right? His New York
- 22:32accent. Very much so. He literally walked down the street.
- 22:35Oh, he just walked down the street to the studio.
- 22:37Had a guitar case. Here, Adam, how you doing? These
- 22:39guys were all very, very New York. Very New York.
- 22:42Love that about him. And then there's a classic guitar
- 22:46story, Joe Satriani, who I think is also just virtuoso.
- 22:51The guy is so good. You can look it up
- 22:54on YouTube. There's two versions. There's a longer version. and
- 22:59he's going to give me guitar lessons. He's going to
- 23:02show me. Now, I'm not actually holding a guitar, but
- 23:05he has a guitar. He says, okay, Adam. And he
- 23:07says, now this is, he does some, he has a
- 23:10little bit of stuff back and forth, but that's not
- 23:12really what makes you a great guitar player. And here's
- 23:14something you can practice, Adam. You've got to make your
- 23:16faces. So he was teaching me the right face to
- 23:23make. Oh, when you hit this one, you go, you
- 23:26got to pull your lips back like that. And you
- 23:28got to close. That's what makes a great guitar player
- 23:33right there. That's great stuff. Yeah, you can have the
- 23:36sound. It's not in the gear. I mean, Ted Nugent
- 23:39told a story about Eddie Van Halen where when he
- 23:41met him, he's like, how do you get that sound?
- 23:43And Eddie handed him his guitar. He's like, I played
- 23:45it. I sound like Ted Nugent still. I don't know
- 23:47how he made those sounds. It wasn't trickery. It wasn't
- 23:52gear. It was just pure talent in the way he
- 23:54played. Talent and tone, man. That's what it is. Yes.
- 23:58And the tone comes in the hands. Yes, it does.
- 24:02Yeah. I felt bad for the rhythm guitarist on stage
- 24:06with Billy because the guy was very good, but nobody
- 24:09cared. He's getting paid to stand in the back and
- 24:12strum a few chords. I'm in show business. They were
- 24:17unbelievable, these chicks. Oh my God, they were so fantastic.
- 24:21It was really one of the best shows I've ever
- 24:23seen. Really great. Glad he's still around. I mean, that
- 24:28guy's had a few... Was this the Westbury Music Fair?
- 24:32No, this was at the Mohegan Sun Hotel Casino. And
- 24:38I had to laugh like hell because a couple of
- 24:40times during the show, the hotel was located in a
- 24:44little dinky town called Uncasville, Connecticut, right? And a couple
- 24:48of times he was doing songs and he would shoehorn
- 24:51in the words Uncasville, Connecticut. And so when we left,
- 24:56I turned to my wife, I said to her, saying
- 25:00I can spell Connecticut. That's what I heard. Yeah. Oh,
- 25:07no. He was basically doing it. Hello, Cleveland, and you
- 25:11misunderstood. Okay, got it. Yeah, nice. So Logan Five in
- 25:15the troll room is talking about the gold and platinum
- 25:17records. I just need to say something about that. In
- 25:20the early days, you actually could take the gold or
- 25:24platinum record out of the case and you could play
- 25:28it however you wanted. However, you had to play it
- 25:31backwards because it was a gold or platinum-plated version of,
- 25:35I guess they call it the mother. Right, so it
- 25:38was an inverse, right? Inverse, yeah. So you literally had
- 25:42to play it backwards, but they did play. They actually
- 25:46did play. Later, it was just... I mean, I still,
- 25:50mine still have, later I got the CD versions from
- 25:55Michael Jackson and Aerosmith, which is, those are some of
- 25:57my, I like those because I can always, you know,
- 26:00connect the story to it. But I have a lot
- 26:02of the old school platinum and gold records and they
- 26:05all have a little cassette stuck to the. the right-hand
- 26:10bottom corner, you know, because it also sold on cassette
- 26:13back in the day. And those, of course, over the
- 26:14years have, you know, come unglued and dropped, and they're
- 26:17kind of loose in the case. Memorabilia is fun. If
- 26:22you played them forward, would they reveal the masked satanic
- 26:25lyrics? I buried Paul. Yeah, I always just assumed those
- 26:30were, you know, made up, and they weren't actually the
- 26:34album. So it's good to know they actually took a
- 26:35copy of the album and made those awards. They did.
- 26:39For a while. for a while, but it got old
- 26:41and I didn't do that anymore. And then the whole
- 26:44industry changed and nobody buys music anymore. Well, you still
- 26:48do, right? You buy a lot of vinyl. Oh, well,
- 26:50the vinyl, yeah, now that's the... You know what's crazy?
- 26:52You know how Spotify... Spotify is in a very difficult
- 26:58position with podcasts because they are also, you know, owned
- 27:03by... I mean, it's a public company, but a lot
- 27:06of the insiders who owned shares early on were the...
- 27:10Publishing companies and the record companies who own the rights
- 27:13to all this music, which is why you know artists
- 27:15You know really don't get paid very well because they
- 27:18don't own their publishing, you know Sound Exchange came in
- 27:20and so there is some money But that whole the
- 27:23whole system is screwy because they just put it into
- 27:25a big pot and then they divide it up by
- 27:27plays so the whole thing is corrupt and no good,
- 27:31but We were never on Spotify with this show because
- 27:35they had an early contract that said – first of
- 27:39all, signing a contract with basically a podcast app. I'm
- 27:42like, no. That's not going to do that. And they
- 27:46put us on and they could play ads. in front
- 27:50of our podcast. No, I don't want that. So I
- 27:53went through all kinds of hoops to get us taken
- 27:55off and we finally got taken off. Then I guess
- 27:58it was like a year ago or something and we
- 28:00were talking about, no, I'll put us back on Spotify,
- 28:03which of course couldn't happen because somewhere in their database
- 28:07it said never import the feed because those guys are
- 28:12dicks so you don't want them. They got that undone.
- 28:16But then we've had episode after episode episode taken off.
- 28:22because of a violation of music copyrights. You cannot have
- 28:27any music... in your podcast on Spotify. And at first
- 28:33I thought it was, you know, just any music that
- 28:36was detecting something. I know that we have some songs
- 28:40that are technically completely legal because it's parody of an
- 28:44existing song, and it's within the context of the show,
- 28:46so we're not releasing it as a separate entity. But
- 28:52the other day I got two and I'm like, what
- 28:53is going on? What are they striking us off? You
- 28:56know, you can appeal it. Yeah, I'm going to click
- 28:58that link. No, whatever. You should use a real podcast
- 29:01app. What's happening is people who do end of show
- 29:05mixes. are also submitting their songs to spotify for people
- 29:12to enjoy them so now we're in the spotify music
- 29:14database they see that we're playing that on our show
- 29:18boom violation you're out no i see i would have
- 29:21thought it was sir chris wilson because he's done a
- 29:23few parodies that are you know again songs that everybody
- 29:26would know but putting his spin on it which that
- 29:29i kind of understand getting clipped before but yeah not
- 29:33not ai i had to i had to research and
- 29:36i'm like oh i see what's happening but you know
- 29:38again if spotify were were doing the right thing then
- 29:42you know and not just doing algorithmic detection you know
- 29:46we have it is completely within the fair use um
- 29:51uh clause of the copyright law to do a parody
- 29:54of an existing song within the con you know not
- 29:57releasing it ourselves but within the context of
- 30:01an educational program, which of course no agenda is, but
- 30:05we'll never get over that hurdle. So just get a
- 30:08modern podcast app, people. I was once sort of Spotify'd
- 30:11by John Dvorak, Adam. This went back. I'm serious. This
- 30:16went back. Yeah. At the very height of the COVID
- 30:19thing, I sent you a couple of end of show
- 30:23songs. And this one was kind of, it was, it
- 30:25was, it was, it was, of course, a parody of
- 30:27teacher children, no AI, all my own guitar tracks, vocals,
- 30:30whatever. And you dug it so much that somewhere, maybe
- 30:3440, 50 minutes into it, when you mentioned that show
- 30:36mixes, you said, and here's something that came in from,
- 30:38from that Larry guy. This is really cool. And you
- 30:41got maybe, maybe one and a half bars played. And
- 30:45John goes, that goes at the end of the show.
- 30:47And I thought, wait, he really is Buzzkill. Wow. Thank
- 30:50you, John. I got to dig that one up, Larry.
- 30:55I completely forgot about that. It's amazing how people come
- 30:59up to me and say, hey, remember that episode when?
- 31:01And I just go blank. I'm like, of course. I
- 31:04got to tell you, man, I really don't remember this
- 31:07at all. It was very funny. Oh, man. Oh, man.
- 31:13So anyway, I appreciate you guys holding down the fort.
- 31:16And I look forward to, you know, joining on Thursday.
- 31:20I'll be fresh, ready to do some media deconstruction with
- 31:24you. The closure for me in this weekend. has been
- 31:31that, of course, I want to be, I'm still producing
- 31:35for you guys, doing clips and bringing you information. And
- 31:38I always want to be a part of this show,
- 31:41certainly on Thursdays. But I do have a calling to
- 31:44do more with We Get to Do This with Pastor
- 31:46Jimmy. I'm just going to be honest. I'm 61. Things
- 31:51happened to me a couple of years ago, so I
- 31:53am going to continue to build that up as well.
- 31:56But I'm more convinced than ever that NOAA Gen of
- 31:59the Nation will get through this, will become healthier, will
- 32:02become, I believe, even stronger and bigger. And I like
- 32:08kind of the Troika thing that you guys have started
- 32:11to develop here. And we talked the other day, and
- 32:13I encourage you to look at some of the people
- 32:16in NOAA Gen of the Nation for maybe joining you
- 32:19on Sunday. something is changing here and I got I
- 32:23got it feels good to me it feels like good
- 32:25things are happening like the old morning zoos but actually
- 32:28funny Oh, God, thank you. Yeah, exactly. And without the
- 32:32bull crap. For a time there, every single morning zoo,
- 32:36which, by the way, morning radio guys, 90% are overweight.
- 32:41This is just a fact of life. Yes, that's very
- 32:42true. And it was the Nutri system. And they'd all
- 32:46lead into this. You know, it's like today the podcasts
- 32:48have. You know, if you're worried about the Muslims taking
- 32:52over Texas, you might want to buy some gold. I
- 32:54mean, this is every single podcast does this now. And
- 32:56those guys would all be like, well, you know, you
- 33:00know, Ross, I was stood on the scale this morning.
- 33:04And, oh, it's all water weight. Oh, yeah. But, you
- 33:07know, I've been on the Nutrisystem and it's been. for
- 33:10me. None of these guys ever got under 300 pounds,
- 33:13okay? It never, ever, ever worked. So without all that
- 33:16lameness, without the joke guy, you know, without the black
- 33:22guy who does sports, it was all so racist these
- 33:24morning zoos, without the hot sounding news lady who was
- 33:28never hot looking. Never hot. We need that. Was that
- 33:31Ross you mentioned? Ross Britton? Ross Britton, yeah, you know
- 33:35exactly who I'm talking about. I know Ross very well.
- 33:37And I used to write schtick for the Z when
- 33:40it first started with him. And I think it was
- 33:42partners. No kidding. Oh, yeah. Yeah, this is going way
- 33:45back. And I won't tell you now, but Ross then
- 33:48duped me into a job at WNEW AM, from which
- 33:53I was eventually fired by proxy by Sinatra. Wow. I'll
- 33:59tell that story another time. It's absolutely true. I believe
- 34:02it. I believe it. Ross was a good guy, but
- 34:04the Zee mornings used to drive me nuts. Is he
- 34:07still alive? I think he is. I saw him on
- 34:11Facebook a couple years back, and he was doing morning
- 34:14drive on, I forget who it was. It was still
- 34:16in New York Station. Ross is a good guy. I
- 34:18liked him a lot. He's a good friend. Now, they
- 34:21had Mr. Leonard. Do you remember Mr. Leonard? Mr. Leonard.
- 34:25Mr. Lennigan. Of course I remember Mr. Lennigan. So this
- 34:27guy had a super gig. Leonard was again a guy
- 34:32who was at least 300 pounds and four foot ten
- 34:35and he it's Mr. Leonard and he had this voice
- 34:39and he it was funny I mean he had funny
- 34:41bits but he would call 15 stations a day and
- 34:46but he would call them from the station he was
- 34:48visiting but Mr. Leonard it sounded like Mr. Leonard lived
- 34:52in New York he drove a lime green pinto the
- 34:55guy lived in Philly I think and you know so
- 34:58he'd be for a week he'd be at and and
- 35:02when he wasn't doing his little stick he called these
- 35:04other 15 stations and the next week he'd be in
- 35:07San Diego or wherever I mean the guy had an
- 35:10unbelievable gig just you know being this one character on
- 35:14all these radio stations back when radio stations were local
- 35:18you know when you just had a local station you
- 35:20had your local guys now it's like elvis durant in
- 35:23the morning good morning san francisco good morning dallas good
- 35:27morning philadelphia you know become so homogenized and crappy that
- 35:33I'm glad that we have a podcast like ours. Absolutely.
- 35:36It's all Jack FM. Accent on the Jack. It is.
- 35:39It is. Straight up. Straight up. Straight up. This is
- 35:47the more you're going to find out about Larry. I
- 35:49mean, he's probably on the mob's hit list if he
- 35:51had Sinatra got him fired. So talking about Sinatra. So
- 35:55last night, we're taking an Uber back from Oakland. And
- 36:01we're sitting in the back. We're tired. And we're hearing
- 36:03all these songs. And Tina says, I miss George Michael.
- 36:07See, I miss him too. one of his ballad songs
- 36:12and then another song comes on and I'm like, oh
- 36:13this is um This is Linda Ronstadt with that black
- 36:16guy who had like the big mole above his eye
- 36:20people Bryson No, no Aaron Neville Aaron Neville and so
- 36:24we're trying to figure like who was that guy's name
- 36:26and the driver says Aaron Neville I said yeah, man,
- 36:28but you're looking up there at the display says no
- 36:31this is my playlist and he has a little bit
- 36:34of an accent and so older guy and and so
- 36:37of course we're talking to him and he's like well
- 36:39you know uh i i had a drink with sanford
- 36:44with the with the frank sinatra when i was running
- 36:48the uh like the stars restaurant and he you know
- 36:52pulls up his phone the sure enough sure enough there
- 36:55he is him and frank sinatra having a drink and
- 36:58tuxedos and You can just see this guy. He's got
- 37:03to be in his 70s, driving the Uber, telling everybody
- 37:06about the good old days with Frank. That's your future,
- 37:08Larry. There it is. Thank you. You're driving an Uber.
- 37:12You're a good driver. Driving an Uber, talking about your
- 37:14days with Frank. That you got fired by Frank. While
- 37:18podcasting live from the driver's seat. There you go. There
- 37:21you go. Yeah. Anyway, guys, I'm going to bow out.
- 37:26I'm about reaching the end of the energy I've got
- 37:29here. I thank everybody for all the emails, the direct
- 37:33messages, the text messages. You've been wonderful. Can't wait to
- 37:36see you guys on Thursday. And Darren and Larry, love
- 37:39you guys. We'll talk to you in the week. Take
- 37:41care of yourself. Look forward to it. And thanks for
- 37:44the report. Adios, mofos. And such. Adios. And such. I
- 37:51don't know how you follow that, but... We're going to
- 37:54try. We'll do just fine. What a pleasant interlude that
- 37:58was. Yeah, you got your Billy Idol story. Got my
- 38:01Billy Idol story. Yeah, it was, wow. Who knew that
- 38:04would lead to all that? What a glorious detour we
- 38:08took. And I've been on Adam since he mentioned that
- 38:10Steve Stevens guitar sitting in his studio. I'm like, you
- 38:13got to learn how to play. He does. And I
- 38:16was looking very close. I had like kissed the stage
- 38:19seats last night. It was amazing. And then, of course,
- 38:22they had the big video screens flanking. it but he's
- 38:25he's got a whole signature deal with a Canadian guitar
- 38:28company I think called Godin or Godin I don't know
- 38:30whatever G-O-D-I-N and and a couple of them are really
- 38:33oddballs you know they've got open headstocks and nylon strings
- 38:37on them and wow but everything everything that guy touches
- 38:40sounds great because he's great yeah I'm sure there's still
- 38:43money in that getting guitar companies to make a signature
- 38:46model I mean it's sad that less and less people
- 38:49are actually playing instruments but yeah yeah you really can't
- 38:53reproduce that one going out live which is why a
- 38:56lot of these guys are in their 50s 60s 70s
- 38:59or some even in their 80s i mean willie nelson
- 39:02out there in his 90s now playing it's like It's
- 39:05a dying breed, that's for sure. I'm hoping it comes
- 39:08back because you can't replace it with, and it's not
- 39:11just AI, but you can't replace it with the electronic
- 39:15music and all the synthesized stuff. I have a Willie
- 39:19story if you want that. I mean, why not? Before
- 39:21we get into real news deconstruction. I met him a
- 39:26long time ago when I was fronting a country band
- 39:30back in the good old days. And I think, yeah,
- 39:31Adam mentioned Westbury Music Fair, which was a very small
- 39:35venue. It was only a couple thousand people, and it
- 39:37was a stage that revolved in a circle. So there
- 39:40were no bad seats, none. And it was such a
- 39:42different world back then without psychos in every corner. Well,
- 39:46yeah. It was the Cadillac Cowboys and my partner. His
- 39:50name was Pontiac Pete. And he goes, hey, man, let's
- 39:53go try to find Willie. Okay. Well, of course. Why
- 39:56not? You know, why not? So we left the arena
- 39:59and walked.
- 40:00...on the side, and there was Willie just standing by
- 40:03the tour bus, hanging out. He was all alone, walked
- 40:06right up, introduced himself. He looks at me and goes,
- 40:08oh, another redhead. That's what it was back then. But
- 40:14I saw Willie again many years later in L.A. in
- 40:17a little club 20 miles north of my house called,
- 40:21I forget what that was called. And Willie was much,
- 40:24obviously, we were all much older by then. And he
- 40:27did his show like he was under sniper fire. I
- 40:31mean, he didn't even wait for the applause between songs.
- 40:34So it must have been like a last minute thing.
- 40:35Because it wasn't announced. It was suddenly a last minute
- 40:37thing. I'm driving down the Ventura Freeway and I see,
- 40:40appearing tonight, Willie Nelson. I'm a Willie fan. I'd have
- 40:42known of that if there was advance notice. But there
- 40:44was. So somebody must have dropped out. Willie was in
- 40:46the neighborhood and they said, do you want a gig?
- 40:48That's probably how it went down. And he was probably
- 40:53pushing 80 by then, you know. And he's not Billy
- 40:56Idol. He didn't quite look that good. And so at
- 40:59the end of the show, it's swarmed by chicks who
- 41:02are, you know, 21 to 30, leaping up on stage,
- 41:06handing him Sharpies and pulling down their tops so he
- 41:10can autograph their boobs. Kevin McLaughlin, you hearing that, buddy?
- 41:15And I'm looking at this and I'm thinking, if this
- 41:18guy wasn't a massive music star and he even spoke
- 41:22to any of these girls at the check stand at
- 41:24the supermarket, they'd dial 911. You know, this is the
- 41:28power of music and stardom. Yeah, this is the problem.
- 41:32Learn how to play the guitar, kids. Exactly, exactly. Absolutely.
- 41:36And Willie, I've seen him in concert a few times.
- 41:39This is part of even Elvis later in his career
- 41:43a five minute song in a minute flat you know
- 41:45it's uh yes some artists are a little different live
- 41:49willie was good but uh you know i i get
- 41:52it when you got like 8 000 hits you gotta
- 41:55Hit as much as you can in a live show.
- 41:58You do. Now you're starting us with a depressing story
- 42:01out in Michigan? Somebody commented, I love how much Larry
- 42:09hates commies. I think one of the reviews that popped
- 42:13up on one of the podcasts. I take that as
- 42:16a great compliment. I hate them with no apologies either.
- 42:18None whatsoever. Yeah, this must be that El Sayed guy,
- 42:22right? Yes. Okay, so he's going to speak about how
- 42:26glorious he is and how he's going to fix everything,
- 42:29including Medicare. And did you know, Darren? Did you know?
- 42:33The problem with Medicare is racism. Isn't everything? Isn't that
- 42:38the problem now? Racism? I guess, but I didn't know
- 42:41it applied to Medicare, but now we're about to find
- 42:43out how true that is. One of the biggest challenges
- 42:46that we have when it comes to racial inequalities in
- 42:49health, which is the area of my expertise, is what
- 42:51I studied, what I wrote my dissertation on, is that
- 42:54we have a multi-class healthcare system. So even if you
- 42:59have coverage on Medicaid, Medicaid reimburses at nearly half the
- 43:02rate as private health insurance. So healthcare companies are like,
- 43:06I'm so sorry, but you're paying half the rate. So
- 43:08you get discriminated against at the point of care. And
- 43:11too often in urban communities, because of structural racism, because
- 43:16of the circumstances of segregation, you end up having situations
- 43:20where you may have health insurance through Medicaid, but you
- 43:23don't have health care because you can't get your Medicaid
- 43:27accepted where you need to get care. There you have
- 43:31that, right? Well, new wrinkle was uncovered. He has a
- 43:34wife who is a psychiatrist. Her name is Sarah Jakuku.
- 43:38Oh, you can't make that up. I'm sorry, I mispronounced.
- 43:42Jakaku. Oh, that's different. J-U-K-A-K-U. And she runs a private
- 43:47practice in Ann Arbor called Mind Work Psychiatry. And as
- 43:51I was reading this, I thought, I wish Darren had
- 43:53like a theremin clip to put in. You know, Mind
- 43:57Work Psychiatry. Anyway, here's the kicker, man. This guy's beefing
- 44:01about... Oh, I knew you could do it, man. If
- 44:04anybody... The Podfather provides all clips. Oh, that's great. So
- 44:11she opted out of Medicare in 2025. Oh, let me
- 44:14back up a second. Their income, their family income for
- 44:18last year was about $700,000, almost all of it hers.
- 44:22So she's doing real well with the mind work psychiatry.
- 44:25She opted out of Medicare in 2025, according to records
- 44:29reported by the Washington Free Beacon. So she can't bill
- 44:32the program, and she's not listed as an eligible provider.
- 44:36on any of the insurance plans that provide coverage for
- 44:38Medicare. So, you know, she's exactly the type of physician
- 44:44or shrink that her husband is deriding. So she's not
- 44:50taking Medicare or Medicaid patients. No, only for special people,
- 44:55you know. So then there's more. It says, MindWorks website
- 44:58notes that, quote, Dr. Jukaku is out of network for
- 45:02all insurance companies, meaning patients must pay out of pocket
- 45:05for her services. or unlikely to be able to afford.
- 45:13So, just for the hell of it, I went to
- 45:15the site and guess what I saw? It says... This
- 45:20site is currently private. If you're the owner or contributor,
- 45:23log in. You always know it's bad when the social
- 45:28media or the website disappears. Yeah. And I should probably
- 45:32throw it into somebody's lap and knows what they're doing
- 45:34like you. But I went to the Wayback Machine and
- 45:37several other clones of that saying maybe somebody's got some
- 45:40pages on what it looked like before they walled it
- 45:43off but couldn't find a damn thing. Well, that's it.
- 45:47That's it. Everything has been turned into... It's racist. Yes.
- 45:54It is. The medical system in this country is flawed.
- 45:58I don't think anybody is going to argue that it
- 46:02is the perfect system that anybody's ever come up with.
- 46:05No. I mean, I remember hearing guys like Rush Limbaugh
- 46:09talking about, well, I don't really have insurance. I just
- 46:11have enough money that if anything goes wrong, I can
- 46:15afford to pay for it. common denominator and yeah there
- 46:23are things that aren't perfect but I really have yet
- 46:27to see any evidence that anything is going to be
- 46:32approved based upon the color of somebody's skin and disapprove
- 46:36for the reason of the color of their skin. It's
- 46:39like it doesn't happen. I mean, again, people throw these
- 46:43kind of things out there. It's why the left loves
- 46:46throwing it out there because they know one. There are
- 46:49going to be some people that just believe it. Sure.
- 46:52And then it's also going to be in the world
- 46:55now, which is the AI brain. That's exactly right. It's
- 46:58going to pop up on ChatGPT. You know that, of
- 47:01course. Yeah, it has to eventually at some point or
- 47:05not. And as you pointed out last time, this is
- 47:08why they absolute flood everything with their crap, knowing if
- 47:12the seepage is going to be fast and thick into
- 47:16AI. the way it's going to be. There's no question
- 47:22about it. Now, does the next clip go with that
- 47:27one, or is that a different one? That would be,
- 47:30this is a different one. You're talking about the Jason
- 47:35Arday clip? Yeah, let's hop into that one that we
- 47:38can do. Okay. Let's call it three by three in
- 47:40honor of JCD. All right. Okay, this is an interesting
- 47:45story. Before I get to Jason, this is basically Great
- 47:50Britain's answer to George Santos. Remember the Santos guy? the
- 47:55compulsive liar that got elected as a Republican. Yes. Very
- 48:00bad glasses. Very bad glasses. And so the guy had
- 48:03this litany of lies that were mind-blowing. Like he claimed
- 48:06he graduated from Baruch College and got an MBA from
- 48:09New York University. Both said, never heard of him. He
- 48:12said he worked at Goldman Sachs and Citicorp. They said,
- 48:15never heard of him. He said he and his family
- 48:17owned 13 rental properties. Never happened. He said he was
- 48:20a volleyball star at Baruch. But of course, how could
- 48:23that happen? Nobody ever fact-checked, right? I guess they finally
- 48:27did. established an animal charity that brought in a lot
- 48:32of yen for our four-legged friends. But finally they caught
- 48:38up with him. And interestingly enough, when they said, "What
- 48:41the hell are you doing?" And his answer was, "Most
- 48:45people lie on their resumes." He's not wrong! He's not
- 48:49wrong. He's not wrong. So at the same time, this
- 48:53went on two or three years ago with... with this
- 48:56guy, come on, brain work, with Santos. So then this
- 49:04guy, Arday, just hit the papers, or the websites, you
- 49:09should say, and he obviously was thinking, hold my beer,
- 49:12what went on. So this clip is one of his
- 49:18academic sycophants introducing him. When I heard this woman speaking,
- 49:24I'm thinking, when she's gonna drop the name at the
- 49:27end of her rap, it's gotta be Jesus. I mean,
- 49:31really, listen to what she has to say. - I'm
- 49:33Rajni Naidoo. I'm vice president for community and inclusion, a
- 49:38UNESCO chair and co-director of the International Center for Higher
- 49:43Education at the University of Varna. So it's a great,
- 49:47great, great pleasure to welcome Professor Jason Arday. at the
- 49:56University of Glasgow. Previously he was a
- 50:00Associate Professor in Sociology at Durham University and the Deputy
- 50:05Executive Dean for People and Culture. He is a visiting
- 50:09and honorary professor at many, many universities, including Ohio State
- 50:15in the US, Durham in the UK, and Nelson Mandela
- 50:19University in South Africa. Jason also holds numerous trusteeships, including
- 50:27at the Runnymede Trust, which is the UK's leading race
- 50:31equality think tank. Jason is also a fellow of the
- 50:36RSA. Oh, my God. She keeps going on and on
- 50:39and on. It's beyond belief. Yeah. Yeah. Is that all
- 50:44she had to say? There's another 20 seconds. You know,
- 50:47we've heard enough. This is a hell of an introduction.
- 50:52and it's this spectacular scholar, blah, blah, blah, right? So
- 50:55anyway, so he just got busted. Well, I'm just thinking,
- 50:57Larry, we can change our intro to this show to
- 50:59be like an hour long, and then that's less work.
- 51:02I like that. That's a hell of an idea. We
- 51:04need long intros. Yeah, yeah. So anyway, Jason, he actually,
- 51:09like I said, he made Santos look like an amateur.
- 51:12Here's just a quick rundown of the lies he told.
- 51:15First, he said that he was a star of a
- 51:17famous British documentary called Seven Up. But the only problem
- 51:22is that he was born 21 years after the documentary
- 51:27was filmed. Then he claimed he was autistic and nonverbal
- 51:31until the age of 11. Other witnesses disproved that. You'll
- 51:35like this one. Marathons in just 35 days Wow, I
- 51:41guess and I think maybe he was thinking like that's
- 51:43a little tough to you know Other people are in
- 51:45those marathons, you know, there could be like a registry
- 51:47or something for them So then he followed up with
- 51:49I also ran 600 miles in six days on a
- 51:53treadmill because treadmills don't talk and they don't keep records
- 51:56Right says he read raised millions of pounds for various
- 51:59charities overcame a brain tumor while completing his PhD Then
- 52:03they found out that there were hundreds of passages in
- 52:06his dissertation that were plagiarized, right? So he didn't dispute
- 52:12being a plagiarist, but what he did see, he defended
- 52:16himself by saying that he had not received adequate supervision
- 52:21during his PhD given his autism and learning disabilities. Wow.
- 52:26Yeah. And it just goes on and on. But the
- 52:31funny thing is, just like Santos, when they kind of
- 52:34held his feet to the fire, he said, well, to
- 52:37be honest with you, I thought you'd just believe me.
- 52:41We've seen it happen. We've seen it happen. Here's the
- 52:44big ironic kick in the ass to Simon and Schuster,
- 52:52August 11th. It drops in the USA. You can't believe
- 52:55this title. you great and unfortunate things. You can't make
- 53:02this up. This is the new world we're living in.
- 53:05Misinformation is more prevalent. But this guy is like barely
- 53:1040. He's an internet child. He was raised in it.
- 53:14How can he be that stupid? You can't do anything
- 53:17today without it being documented by someone in some way
- 53:21somewhere. Unless you're planting the backstory. This was when people
- 53:25started pulling scams on the internet. They would create a
- 53:29website with fake bios and fake information. So when people
- 53:33went to look it up, they'd find them and be
- 53:35like, oh, it must be true. This has just been
- 53:38multiplied now by... I don't know, a million more? This
- 53:43guy, is he running for office like Santos? No, no,
- 53:46I think he's running for cover. He's just trying to
- 53:50sell books? I guess. Well, I mean, I guess if
- 53:53you're going to pad your resume, sometimes you need more
- 53:59than just a blurb from JCD on the book. You
- 54:01need a lot of blurbs that really come from nobody.
- 54:07Yeah. And now it's time for 3x3! Experiment by JCD.
- 54:15Comparing stories from ABC, CBS and NBC! *The Neverend* Yeah,
- 54:22John C. Dvorak created it, but I think we can
- 54:25use it every now and then because it's a valuable
- 54:28way to look at what the media is saying about
- 54:31certain topics. In this case, Larry, it is the Trump
- 54:35ballroom. And we'll start with the Trump-friendly Fox News. the
- 54:52East Wing almost a year ago to build the new
- 54:5590,000 square foot ballroom, which includes an underground military bunker.
- 55:00The majority of the judges wrote, we are aware of
- 55:03no instance in American history in which a president unilaterally
- 55:07and using privately collected funds demolished substantial portions of the
- 55:11White House that Congress authorized to be built and American
- 55:14taxpayers paid for until now. The president says he will
- 55:18appeal to the Supreme Court, adding the military and Secret
- 55:21Service are viewing this horrendous politically motivated and unlawful ruling
- 55:25as a national security threat to our nation in that
- 55:28the entire complex is being built for the protection of
- 55:31our country. Now, Shannon, the ballroom is just one of
- 55:34several ways the president is trying to leave a lasting
- 55:36mark on the nation's capital. The 250-foot arches proposing between
- 55:40the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery has yet to
- 55:44take shape. But a recent National Park Service assessment points
- 55:47out the structure would change the views of dozens of
- 55:51historic sites. Like the ballroom, there's a lawsuit aimed at
- 55:54blocking the arch. President Trump is also having a new
- 55:58helipad built for Marine One to land on the South
- 56:00Lawn, and there are reports he's already changed his mind
- 56:03a few times on that, Shannon, after construction has already
- 56:07gotten underway. No, Donald Trump would never change his mind
- 56:10about anything, would he? Never, never. No, put it there.
- 56:13No, put it there. No, put it there. No, it
- 56:15would look better there. God. But they are pointing out
- 56:18one thing that's starting to come out with this story,
- 56:21which is there seems to be a much different take
- 56:25legally. based upon if what's being built is above ground
- 56:31or underground. The courts are seemingly pointing now like he
- 56:35can do whatever he wants underground because it's security, blah,
- 56:38blah, blah. Oh, okay. The above ground is where the
- 56:42real problem comes into. Some people don't want the ballroom.
- 56:46And the report here is correct. There is no other
- 56:50point in history where this kind of massive change was
- 56:55enacted by the president without having some congressional approval. But
- 57:00the difference is, and this is where the courts are
- 57:03going to come in, because I'm not a lawyer like
- 57:04Rob, the constitutional lawyer. I have no idea. If it
- 57:08was because Trump needed the funding from Congress to build
- 57:14it, and since he got the funding privately, he has
- 57:17the ability, or if he still needs somebody else's approval,
- 57:20even if he's got the money. But this, of course,
- 57:24same story. This is the very Trump unfriendly ABC. construction
- 57:39of that $400 million ballroom, saying only Congress has the
- 57:43authority to approve changes to the historic structure. Our Stephen
- 57:46Portnoy has been tracking this for us. And Stephen, I
- 57:49want to start with this. What is the essence of
- 57:51the judge's ruling here? What is the essence? Oh, yeah,
- 57:55that's kind of like, what do you make of it,
- 57:57isn't it? It's very similar, yeah. Wasn't the original price
- 58:00of that $200 million, Darren? Did they double that? It
- 58:03keeps going up, just like he keeps moving the helipad.
- 58:06I don't know how much money he's got. He's like,
- 58:08hey, people keep giving me money, so I'm going to
- 58:10build a bigger pool. I don't know. You know, basically,
- 58:14this two-to-one ruling from the D.C. Circuit Appeals Court is
- 58:17that the White House does not belong to the president,
- 58:20that he is not the owner of the executive mansion,
- 58:24a tenant. And in this two to one ruling, the
- 58:27Obama and Biden appointed judges who ruled against the president
- 58:31said that, quote, whether or not a massive ballroom should
- 58:35be constructed is for Congress to decide and is not
- 58:38a matter for executive self-help. And so the bottom line
- 58:42is the judges are saying that but for a security
- 58:46or safety related things, the injunction that was imposed earlier
- 58:50this year by a lower court has to go into
- 58:53effect. Now, the ruling itself is paused for two weeks,
- 58:56and that's to allow for the president, if he decides
- 58:58to do it, to appeal, which he said today he's
- 59:01going to do. Well, and Stephen, where does that leave
- 59:05this construction project? Well, it's important to point out a
- 59:09couple of things. One, as I mentioned, the appeals court
- 59:12itself put in place a two-week stay, a pause, to
- 59:16allow for the president to appeal, which he says on
- 59:19social media today, this unjust decision must be overturned by
- 59:23the Supreme Court in its entirety. The president says he's
- 59:26going to immediately appeal it to the Supreme Court. There's
- 59:29another step he could take if he wanted to, and
- 59:31that's called en banc review, which would have all the
- 59:33judges of the D.C. And bonk. I think it would
- 59:39just be and with a bonk, which is probably a
- 59:41B-O-N-K, really? I think. I mean, and bonk. If that's
- 59:44not a show title, I don't know what is. That's
- 59:46it. And bonk. And bonk. I guess all the judges
- 59:50get together, but you know, they're not going to be
- 59:52friendly towards him either. So it's very interesting to see
- 59:58how this stuff plays out. And Trump with.
- 1:00:00is social media stuff. I think a lot of people,
- 1:00:03even that back, the president would like him to, you
- 1:00:06know, tone things down a little. If you're going to
- 1:00:09the Supreme Court, you don't have to say like, hey,
- 1:00:12the obviously unjust. It's like, just say, I believe this
- 1:00:15was an unjust. Yeah. You know, the obviously, and then
- 1:00:19if they rule against you, then that's where people are
- 1:00:21like, ah, he doesn't even know what he's, he's got
- 1:00:23dementia. Of course. I have a solution for him though,
- 1:00:27Darren. To fix all of the problems? all of all
- 1:00:30of all those ballroom problems become a dictator to do
- 1:00:33is bring in the designers the guys the brains behind
- 1:00:36those very successful toys transformers you know those things right
- 1:00:40so you so make it a transformer ballroom you push
- 1:00:43a button and all of a sudden it turns into
- 1:00:45a heavily armed bunker now now what's your problem It's
- 1:00:49like they need more. I mean, especially at this point
- 1:00:53when you have state actors from Iran and others, I'm
- 1:00:57sure, that have hits out on the president. I mean,
- 1:00:59there's never been a more... dubious time for, I guess
- 1:01:05is the right, dangerous time for somebody in his position
- 1:01:09and I understand why they want a place where they
- 1:01:13can do things like A ballroom there makes sense, being
- 1:01:17the fact that, you know, Trump often goes in D.C.
- 1:01:20to things like the media dinner that he had him
- 1:01:24rescheduled because of the assassination attempt. Yeah, at that hotel.
- 1:01:28Absolutely, yeah. Because the security, obviously, was a little bit
- 1:01:32subpar. So, I mean, this would be nice to have
- 1:01:36that in-house. And this is all... I mean, I know
- 1:01:41this is a surprise to everybody listening right now that's
- 1:01:44a producer of No Agenda. This is just political. It
- 1:01:47really isn't anything else. Of course. Because... A ballroom is
- 1:01:52going to be there. If a Democrat wins, you'll be
- 1:01:55pissed. Oh, wow, we've got this nice ballroom to go
- 1:01:57and use. Yeah, but you know, commies don't like dancing.
- 1:02:00Well, Bernie did. I thought he went to Russia on
- 1:02:02his honeymoon so he could. But Bernie could dance? I
- 1:02:05want to see that. Probably 70, 80, 90 years ago,
- 1:02:08however, when did Bernie get married? Long time, long time.
- 1:02:12Long time. Appeal it to the Supreme Court. There's another
- 1:02:15step you could take if you wanted to, and that's
- 1:02:17called en banc review, which would have all the judges
- 1:02:19of the D.C. Circuit looking at it. The presidency is
- 1:02:22going to go right to the Supreme Court. And he
- 1:02:24also pointed to what his own appointee, Naomi Rao, said
- 1:02:28in her dissenting opinion today, which is that the National
- 1:02:31Trust for Historic Preservation, which brought this lawsuit, doesn't have
- 1:02:34standing to sue. That was an argument that the administration
- 1:02:37has been making throughout this litigation, but was rejected by
- 1:02:41the majority, which said that the Congress has to vote
- 1:02:45to authorize this project, which the president has not really
- 1:02:49directly asked lawmakers to do. Yeah, which is a very
- 1:02:52good point as well. I hate to agree with ABC,
- 1:02:55but there's been a lot of things under this second
- 1:02:59Trump term that the easy answer seems to have been
- 1:03:05go and get it passed in Congress. You control the
- 1:03:07House, you control the Senate. Right. Why not just go
- 1:03:11that route that nobody can complain? Well, and Stephen, I'm
- 1:03:16also curious, I mean, what does this mean for the
- 1:03:18president's bunker that was supposed to go under that ballroom?
- 1:03:22This really gets at the security and safety exception. And,
- 1:03:25you know, Judge Richard Leon of the district court who
- 1:03:27looked at this earlier this year said, the president is
- 1:03:29making an argument that this ballroom is necessary for national
- 1:03:33security. The president demolished the east wing of the White
- 1:03:37House that historically had a bunker underneath it that dated
- 1:03:40back to World War II, FDR's time. Well, now the
- 1:03:44argument is that bunker needs to be replaced. And so
- 1:03:47the judge earlier this year said, all right, we will
- 1:03:50allow you to continue building those parts of this project
- 1:03:54that are necessary to the security and safety of the
- 1:03:56president. The appeals court judges today affirmed that. One of
- 1:04:00the things that Naomi Rao, the dissenting judge, said in
- 1:04:02her opinion is the idea that now, the district court
- 1:04:05judge, Judge Richard Leon, is going to be required to
- 1:04:08review various parts of the plan and discern for himself
- 1:04:11what is or is not security related, which essentially would
- 1:04:14have the court micromanaging those decisions. That's what Naomi Rao
- 1:04:17believes, and the administration, I think, believes it's going to
- 1:04:20have a strong argument in that respect going to the
- 1:04:23Supreme Court on it. So it seems if you really
- 1:04:26finally go through all of these reports, and there's still
- 1:04:29one from CBS, you're going to understand that... The Trump
- 1:04:32people are just going to say, and they pointed out
- 1:04:35in the ABC report, the bunker is World War II
- 1:04:39or previous. I'm guessing it needed some upgrading. I would
- 1:04:44think. But for this reason also, it's a proven fact
- 1:04:48that several members of FDR's cabinet were Soviet spies. Who
- 1:04:54knows what kind of crap they packed into the floorboards
- 1:04:56there. True. I would hope they have swept for it
- 1:04:59since then. I would think. I would hope. You never
- 1:05:01know what was built in. Yeah. You know, that is
- 1:05:05part of the issue. I mean, everybody went nuts when
- 1:05:08Donald Trump wanted to bring that new jumbo jet Air
- 1:05:11Force One home. No, no, we got to look at
- 1:05:14it first. We got to sweep it. I wonder how,
- 1:05:17like, perfect those sweeping systems are. Do they ever miss
- 1:05:21stuff? They have to. They have to, right? Nothing's perfect.
- 1:05:25As technology gets better, as everything is wired for the
- 1:05:30internet, it becomes much easier because you used to look
- 1:05:36for radio waves. If somebody was bugging your office, well,
- 1:05:42that audio had to get out somehow unless there was
- 1:05:45just a recorder locally, and that's probably going to get
- 1:05:48found because recorders aren't, at that point anyway, were not
- 1:05:52super small. But now you know how small cameras and
- 1:05:57microphones are and connecting them into the internet. to go
- 1:06:03out of whatever building you're in, not that hard to
- 1:06:06do. No. Even I could do it. Yeah, why would
- 1:06:09people go into like Airbnbs now? You've got to sweep.
- 1:06:12You've got to look because... Oh, you know what? A
- 1:06:15couple of years ago, I was supposed to connect with
- 1:06:17some friends somewhere. I forget where the hell it was.
- 1:06:20And so for my first time, my wife always does
- 1:06:22the travel stuff, but I wasn't going to burden her
- 1:06:25with my stuff. And I started looking for Airbnbs. I
- 1:06:28was astonished at how many people in reviews said, Again,
- 1:06:33it was loaded with cameras. And not on the outside,
- 1:06:36on the inside. I thought, wow, really? That's awful. And
- 1:06:40in most jurisdictions, that's legal if they're not doing audio.
- 1:06:44They're just security cameras, Larry. Yeah, that's right. It's for
- 1:06:47your safety. They're all in the bathroom in the changing
- 1:06:50rooms. That's for no apparent reason. But here is CBS,
- 1:06:56which surprisingly enough, was fairly straightforward with the story. Yes,
- 1:07:04let's talk about the job site, the ballroom situation here
- 1:07:07behind us. The president says he will appeal this three-judge
- 1:07:10appeals court decision to the Supreme Court, arguing that there's
- 1:07:13a national security imperative now to finish it. But what
- 1:07:16he forgot to mention is that the court order today
- 1:07:19said that the national security work underground can in fact
- 1:07:22continue. It's everything from ground up that they're worried about,
- 1:07:26at least in the case of these three judges with
- 1:07:28the appeals court, because they say, as the district court
- 1:07:31had previously, to do this on his own Congress has
- 1:07:35full oversight of federal property and how money is spent
- 1:07:38on it this is in essence remember a national park
- 1:07:41and Congress oversees the National Park Service so president not
- 1:07:45happy about that reiterating that it is not just a
- 1:07:4790,000 square foot ballroom but there's going to be all
- 1:07:49these other national security military medical facilities underneath it needs
- 1:07:53to be finished and anyone who suggests otherwise is un-American
- 1:07:58So I don't know, is this the new regime under
- 1:08:00CBS? It's got to be the Ellison influence. Has to
- 1:08:03be. Did they actually get something that was just news?
- 1:08:06This is how news reports reminded me of growing up,
- 1:08:09where it was just the news. Right. Not how you
- 1:08:11should think. Not, oh no, Trump good or Trump bad.
- 1:08:15We heard a lot of Trump good in the Fox.
- 1:08:17We heard a lot of Trump bad in the ABC.
- 1:08:21This is why JCD invented it. And now it's time
- 1:08:24for 3x3! Experiment by JCD. Comparing stories from ABC, CBS,
- 1:08:32and NBC. The never-ending 3x3. Which really is the heart
- 1:08:37of the media deconstruction is to be like, hey, here's
- 1:08:40a story. Here's how it's being told three different ways.
- 1:08:45And why do you think that is? If you want
- 1:08:47to start thinking critically, kids. You're much better off. When
- 1:08:51did John first record that jingle? Well, he doesn't record
- 1:08:55the jingle, but this is... Well, somebody. This thing has
- 1:08:58been around for... As long as I can remember. Although
- 1:09:01it could be the Mandela effect. Yeah, because it's really,
- 1:09:05it should be the four by four. Well, of course.
- 1:09:08And that's why I was like, okay, there was a
- 1:09:11choice for me to do. CBS or CNN. And I'm
- 1:09:15like, well, this is the three main. And of course,
- 1:09:18there's PBS now. And then you've got the the cable
- 1:09:21news, which are on a different level just from the
- 1:09:24fact that. Cable news doesn't have to pay the United
- 1:09:29States to use the airwaves where ABC, CBS, NBC does.
- 1:09:34But I'm not saying you can't do a three by
- 1:09:36three with the others. Yeah, I mean, it still works.
- 1:09:39But I would think the four by four being the
- 1:09:41fourth would be Fox. No, that's the other, really, the
- 1:09:44network, I guess. Yeah, well, Fox News and Fox, the
- 1:09:48regular, are usually within... shooting distance of each other. So
- 1:09:53they're broadcast and you've got Fox, the network, which is
- 1:09:59over the broadcast
- 1:10:00And then you have Fox News, which is solely. over
- 1:10:04cable and then of course a lot of people don't
- 1:10:05know news nation is owned by the people that run
- 1:10:10the cw which is wgn and i mean that's split
- 1:10:13a bunch of ways as well but for regular news
- 1:10:17i mean there's at least interesting i mean you've got
- 1:10:20the cuomo guy there but you've got he's still doing
- 1:10:23it really is that right he's there leland vitter and
- 1:10:26uh they have a decent lineup which they're trying to
- 1:10:32bring people from both sides on, which is usually the
- 1:10:35most fun you can have in news, is having an
- 1:10:38actual argument between two different people with different opinions, which
- 1:10:42now you don't see. Nothing annoys me more than turning
- 1:10:46on something like CNN and having four people in the
- 1:10:53little, usually a host and then four people in the
- 1:10:55little boxes and they're all saying the same thing. It's
- 1:10:58like, couldn't you get one person that disagreed? I agree.
- 1:11:02It's not fun. Nobody wants to hear agreement all the
- 1:11:05time. No, it's not fun and it's not pleasant. That's
- 1:11:08why I rarely watch any of them, but I do
- 1:11:11enjoy the Fox thing because it seems like it's always
- 1:11:13hot-looking women with great legs and high heels sitting in
- 1:11:17chairs where they have to cross their legs. CNN is
- 1:11:21like, no, it's depressing, really. It's like some academic crap.
- 1:11:25Yeah, Fox figured out that one a long time ago.
- 1:11:27They did. Active women will bring the demographic that we
- 1:11:34want in. Yeah, and I think Brooke Baldwin is at
- 1:11:37the front of that class. And was it a book
- 1:11:39she came out with, an article? Recently I read something
- 1:11:43she had said about how much she loved sex and
- 1:11:46different kinds. And I thought, wow, you know. Welcome to
- 1:11:49Fox News. Exactly. Thank you, Brooke. Now you've got a
- 1:11:53clip here on Sunday at church? Yeah, I thought because
- 1:11:57it's a Sunday show, you know, and I kind of
- 1:12:00stumbled. on this one. And, you know, insanity crosses every
- 1:12:06boundary and every vocation, every profession, you know, and you
- 1:12:10never know where you'll encounter them. And what made me
- 1:12:15think of this is years ago, before my wife and
- 1:12:17I were married, we both had apartments in the west
- 1:12:19side of New York. And we went to this church,
- 1:12:21I forget the name of it. And goddamn, Darren, it
- 1:12:25was pre-smartphone days. I think we were still on pagers
- 1:12:30back then. Unfortunately, because we went to this mass, like
- 1:12:34a regular Sunday mass walk-in, you know, pretty good-sized crowd,
- 1:12:37and there were several hundred people, and this priest, who
- 1:12:40was, like, you know, very gay, started his sermon, and
- 1:12:44the sermon was, Jesus is my lover. Ha! And over
- 1:12:49the course of his homily, which probably ran, I don't
- 1:12:52know, seven or ten minutes or something like that, he
- 1:12:55never got graphic, but he described sort of the things
- 1:12:58he wanted to do with the King of Kings. This
- 1:13:00was a Catholic church in New York. This was a
- 1:13:03Roman Catholic church. And I remember thinking, oh, yeah, and
- 1:13:07I remember back in my apartment, I had a VHS
- 1:13:10camera. And I thought, could I possibly sprint back there
- 1:13:14fast enough to grab that cinder block, this because it
- 1:13:19was absolute. And I remember looking around with my wife
- 1:13:23and just my girlfriend. The jaws on people, their jaws
- 1:13:27were on their chest. I mean, it was like a
- 1:13:29comedy bit. It was beyond belief. So anyway. Was this
- 1:13:33guy not vetted? I mean, you came up with the
- 1:13:36term the corporate God providers. Corporate God providers, yeah. Vet
- 1:13:40this guy? I don't know. I never went back to
- 1:13:42that church. It was a really bizarre experience, you know.
- 1:13:45And then I stumbled on this. This is a guy
- 1:13:48from somewhere in Oklahoma. His name like Preacher Smidridge or
- 1:13:55something, I don't know. And listen to what this cat's
- 1:13:58doing. When he's smart speaking, know that, I just want
- 1:14:01to give you the visual setup. He starts at the
- 1:14:04podium, you know, up on the altar. And it's like,
- 1:14:07I think it's a Baptist or it's not a Catholic
- 1:14:09church. And he's obviously pretty ticked off at the start
- 1:14:14of it. And he very quickly steps down into the
- 1:14:17audience and gets right in people's faces, as he says.
- 1:14:20So it's not like, I want you to know, he's
- 1:14:21not like talking about people in ether. They're there. They're
- 1:14:25close. They're right there. They're close. Yeah. Don't go to
- 1:14:28sleep while I'm talking. Hey, hey, hey. Don't you lay
- 1:14:31your head back. I'm important. I'm somebody. Now you might
- 1:14:36do your English teacher that way, but I'm not teaching
- 1:14:38English. I'm teaching eternal life here. I love you. You
- 1:14:41know I love you. Have I convinced you I love
- 1:14:42you? Yeah. You better nod your head yes. All right.
- 1:14:46Come on. Put it out there. All right, you stay
- 1:14:48awake and you listen to me. You say, well, he
- 1:14:51may never come back. Well, he ain't here now. And
- 1:14:56where have you been, Mr. Underwood? And I noticed on
- 1:15:00the calendar I'm supposed to marry y'all. What makes you
- 1:15:02think I'd marry you? You're one of the sorriest church
- 1:15:05members I have. Wow. You're not worth 15 cents. Ha
- 1:15:09ha! And you want me to marry you to her?
- 1:15:14And you want to marry him? And he don't even
- 1:15:15know where he belongs? And you don't even know where
- 1:15:17you belong? Now, let me tell you all, everybody here,
- 1:15:20how much I love these kids. Do you know I
- 1:15:22love you, sir? Stand up, big boy. Big boy. Do
- 1:15:25you know I love you? All right. Yeah, he gives
- 1:15:29him a bear hug. Wow, this is a whole different
- 1:15:32kind of church. Isn't that crazy? You're not worth 15
- 1:15:34cents. Come here, let me show you how much I
- 1:15:36love you. I mean, at least I'll give this guy,
- 1:15:40he seems like he is... Worthy of at least holding
- 1:15:44your attention while speaking, because I've had enough, you know,
- 1:15:47in churches where everything is just so boring that you're
- 1:15:52trying not to fall asleep. Yes, yes. Sometimes that's just
- 1:15:58impossible. Sometimes nature takes over and there's absolutely nothing you
- 1:16:02can do. Exactly. So you just sit back and enjoy
- 1:16:05the ride. I got to tell you, he made the
- 1:16:07guy stand up so he could hug him. And I'm
- 1:16:09thinking, how's this going to end? I thought maybe there
- 1:16:11might be a right cross to his jaw or something.
- 1:16:13Well, I can see that, yeah. Of course you could.
- 1:16:17You're living in a slightly different world right now. As
- 1:16:22you said, people can snap at any given minute. You
- 1:16:24never know what you're going to deal with. That is
- 1:16:28the insanity of all of this. So I got to
- 1:16:34get to the Mike Rowe clip. I like this guy.
- 1:16:37He is good. He is good. This is, you know,
- 1:16:41he's kind of spells out, you know, in his opinion.
- 1:16:44It's a very valid opinion what he thinks is wrong
- 1:16:47with Gen Z and millennial people. But there's an answer.
- 1:16:52There's another side to his argument, which I'll give after
- 1:16:57the clip. The question doesn't start with what are they
- 1:16:59doing. It starts with what aren't they doing. They're not
- 1:17:03volunteering at their local church. They're not in the Kiwanis
- 1:17:07Club. They're not checking out the Rotarians or the Lions
- 1:17:10Club. They're not in the Boy Scouts or SkillsUSA. They're
- 1:17:13not contributing anything in their community. What are they doing?
- 1:17:18On average, they're spending between 2,000 and 2,100 hours a
- 1:17:23year on their screen. It is. We just haven't seen
- 1:17:29the like of it before. How are they able to
- 1:17:33survive? I can't paint with too broad a brush. Maybe
- 1:17:36some of them are trust fund kids. Maybe some of
- 1:17:38them have enough. A lot of it is money from
- 1:17:40other generations. Sure. They just hate our generation, except when
- 1:17:44we give them money. That's always okay. Yeah. It's always
- 1:17:47okay when you get daddy's money. Then the boomers aren't
- 1:17:50so bad. Right? Yeah. He's not wrong. a week, which
- 1:17:58is really, that's kind of a full-time job with no
- 1:18:02paycheck. Right? Yes. Yeah, it's beyond belief. So then there
- 1:18:08was this story that I tripped over that is kind
- 1:18:11of the other side of that. And maybe next time
- 1:18:15we'll ask Adam. Didn't Adam for a while, did he
- 1:18:18put his smartphone aside and he was using like a
- 1:18:20flip phone? Yeah, I think he still uses that as
- 1:18:24a main phone. And I saw an article in one
- 1:18:26of the tech publications. I don't remember if it was
- 1:18:30Wired or The Verge. One of those. There's like four
- 1:18:32different companies now. that are making dumbed down phones and
- 1:18:37the two or three were flipped. Yeah, well, there's what
- 1:18:40the story says. There's a woman, you know, they interviewed
- 1:18:43this woman named Kendall something, and she remembers the moment
- 1:18:46she swapped her smartphone for a flip phone. She said,
- 1:18:49quote, for me, the second that my iPhone was gone,
- 1:18:53it was just like heaven on earth. She's a 23-year-old
- 1:18:55Washington, D.C. resident. This is with CBS News. And it
- 1:18:59says she's among a growing number of young people. Okay,
- 1:19:02I don't like my smartphone. I was thinking of doing
- 1:19:04what Adam did. Young people are ditching their smartphones in
- 1:19:07favor of stripped-down dumb phones. in an effort to unplug
- 1:19:11from social media, etc., etc. Some feel nostalgic for an
- 1:19:15era they never knew before the advent of mobile devices.
- 1:19:18So then what Mike said is buttressed by the American
- 1:19:21Psychological Association, which showed that U.S. teens spending nearly five
- 1:19:25hours a day on social media. And yeah, you're right.
- 1:19:29This chick got her flip phone from Dumb.co. Have you
- 1:19:32heard of that one? No, but that's a great company
- 1:19:34name. Isn't that good? Dumb.co, a startup that sells devices
- 1:19:37loaded with practical tools like Uber Maps, and Spotify but
- 1:19:40no social media and this dump out dumb co says
- 1:19:44it's got more than 5,000 active users and it's now
- 1:19:48this is the you know this book this deserves fanfare
- 1:19:51it's typical customer is a 24 year old woman how
- 1:19:55about that They really want to be forced to be
- 1:19:58off social media because you
- 1:20:00Oh, you don't have to install the app. That's true.
- 1:20:03That's very true. But I guess it's easier when people,
- 1:20:06you know, because then you would have your friends pressuring
- 1:20:09you like, why aren't you on here? I don't know
- 1:20:10my phone. It doesn't work. Because you can't just, you
- 1:20:15can't take it off on your own. And these, some
- 1:20:19of these phones will allow you to have the messaging
- 1:20:22apps. So if you want to use something like Signal
- 1:20:25or Telegram, they'll allow that. But then they don't allow,
- 1:20:28although you could probably hack it. I mean, all these
- 1:20:30things are hackable. But they allegedly don't allow Facebook and
- 1:20:33Instagram and all of the social media. Because the social
- 1:20:38media... is where people start going down those rabbit holes
- 1:20:42that are not beneficial. No. I mean, again, I know.
- 1:20:47We're the old guys. We're the boomers. When we were
- 1:20:49kids, we used to hop on our bike and go
- 1:20:51to a friend's house without even calling first, knock on
- 1:20:55the door, be like, hey, is Jimmy home? That's right.
- 1:20:59And if not, you'd go further down the street and
- 1:21:01be like, hey, is Jack home? You know, I mean,
- 1:21:03this is looking for something to do. Or you went
- 1:21:06to the park or wherever people hung out. The fact
- 1:21:09that kids just sit at home in their air-conditioned house
- 1:21:13and play on their smartphone without talking to another human
- 1:21:16being while possibly being, you know, groomed by somebody in
- 1:21:20another country, it's... this is very strange. world. But with
- 1:21:27that said, I think it's very scary what's going on
- 1:21:32with what some of these states are doing. There's a
- 1:21:34new meta. thing that came out not a new thing
- 1:21:38a new judgment against meta oh how much money this
- 1:21:42time another 567 million dollars that's a that's a pretty
- 1:21:47big number i mean that's like a day yeah you're
- 1:21:53right what am i saying but in honor of jcd
- 1:21:55it's an ntd clip i'm like i've never pulled an
- 1:21:58ntd clip before i'd never even run across one so
- 1:22:00i figured once i saw this it was a sign
- 1:22:04New legal pressures mounting on Meta over the impact of
- 1:22:08social media on children. A New Mexico judge ordering the
- 1:22:11company to pay $567 million in overhaul safety features on
- 1:22:16Facebook and Instagram for young users in the state. The
- 1:22:20judge ruled Meta's platforms contributed to harms to children's mental
- 1:22:24health and failed to adequately protect minors from sexual exploitation.
- 1:22:29The order includes limits on teens' use of Facebook and
- 1:22:32Instagram, tighter controls on contact between adults and minors, and
- 1:22:36new safeguards for AI chatbots. The New Mexico ruling comes
- 1:22:40on top of the $375 million in civil penalties a
- 1:22:44jury ordered against Meta earlier this year, the case to
- 1:22:51$942 million, a small fraction of its annual profit, which
- 1:22:55was about $60 billion in 2025. Meta says it plans
- 1:22:59to appeal, maintaining it's confident in its record of protecting
- 1:23:03teens online and has been working on identifying and removing
- 1:23:06harmful content from its platforms. Now the case is being
- 1:23:10closely watched as states and school districts across the country
- 1:23:13pursue similar lawsuits against social media companies. Yes, one, somebody
- 1:23:18needs to nationalize. So the individual states can't, this is
- 1:23:22never going to bring anything good. And they're ignoring the
- 1:23:27fact that the internet is inherently dangerous. It's like a
- 1:23:31car. Yes, yes, yes. If you're going to put your
- 1:23:34child behind the wheel of a car, there's a chance
- 1:23:37they're going to get into an accident and get injured
- 1:23:40or worse. The only way to keep your child from
- 1:23:43getting into a car accident with them driving is to
- 1:23:46keep them from driving the car. until they are ready
- 1:23:50to do so. This concept that, you know, oh, we're
- 1:23:54going to have... Facebook or any of these social media
- 1:23:59companies being in charge of how many hours your kid
- 1:24:02sits on the internet? Wouldn't it be better if that
- 1:24:04was the parent doing that? Sure, but aren't they doing
- 1:24:07that already in China? Yes. And this is the rub
- 1:24:11that a lot of the people in the United States
- 1:24:16are missing. Which is, it's always, you know, it's for
- 1:24:20the safety. It's always for the children. But the end
- 1:24:24result is always... Oh, well, for this to work, every
- 1:24:29adult that's on the Internet, well, you're going to need
- 1:24:31an ID and you're going to have to sign on
- 1:24:33and we're going to have to know everything you do.
- 1:24:37But this is the clip from the attorney general in
- 1:24:41New Mexico, of course. And I'm sorry, I shouldn't say
- 1:24:45of course in this case, because there's some Republican attorney
- 1:24:47generals going after the exact same thing. So this shouldn't
- 1:24:51be politicized except to say that a lot of attorneys
- 1:24:55general are, Idiots. Oh, yeah. So I just wanted to
- 1:25:00give you a quick update on a major victory. Major
- 1:25:02victory! Major victory. Scored against social media and specifically in
- 1:25:07our case against Meta. Yesterday, a judge ordered that Meta
- 1:25:10pay $567 million for the public nuisance and the harm
- 1:25:14that they've caused to our kids. That's on top of
- 1:25:16the public nuisance. This is one of the ways they're
- 1:25:19going after him, that this is... Like you having an
- 1:25:23old Chevy that causes too much noise after 8 p.m.
- 1:25:27driving down there. It's a public nuisance, Larry. That's where
- 1:25:30these meta and... It's infuriating. The complete lack of understanding.
- 1:25:39And, you know, and again, oh, it's major, 567 million.
- 1:25:43It's like, well, what is Meta make in an hour?
- 1:25:46Yeah, 60 billion a year? That's not major to them.
- 1:25:49No, no, it's a rounding error if you're lucky. So,
- 1:25:54you know, put on your soothsayer's cap there, Darren. Where
- 1:25:57do you see this? Because you've been yelling about this
- 1:25:59for years, rightly so. Are they going to achieve their
- 1:26:04goal? Are we all going to be having to do
- 1:26:06selfies and sit there with our driver's license or whatever
- 1:26:09the hell it is so we can get online? Or
- 1:26:11what do you think? How's this going to go? Yeah,
- 1:26:13if they get what they want, it is going to
- 1:26:15be China, which is for you to log onto the
- 1:26:17internet, you are going to have to prove who you
- 1:26:21are with an ID. You're probably going to have to
- 1:26:23use your smartphone to take a photo of your driver's
- 1:26:28license. And here in the U.S., on the back, you've
- 1:26:30got the barcode. a picture of that to prove that
- 1:26:34you are who you say you are while you're logged
- 1:26:38in, which then again, now if you end up being
- 1:26:40one of those parents that's like, I don't care if
- 1:26:43my kid uses 8,000 hours, I'll just log them in
- 1:26:46as me. It's never a penalty for the parents. It's
- 1:26:49always going after money from the social media. So this
- 1:26:53is not about protecting your children. This is only about
- 1:26:57taking more money from the social media. Here in Illinois,
- 1:27:01the corrupt politicians, J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson of
- 1:27:05Chicago, they put laws into place that said, well, for
- 1:27:09every person using your social media over 100,000, the city
- 1:27:15owes you a 50 cent or the state, you know,
- 1:27:18you owe us a 50 cent tax. So the state
- 1:27:21of Illinois is like, well, you know, if we got
- 1:27:2320 million people on X, well, then you owe us
- 1:27:2710 million a month in a tax for us to
- 1:27:31allow your social media to be, it's always about the
- 1:27:35money. This is just a different way of going at
- 1:27:38the money because they're going to make rules. and regulations
- 1:27:43that parents should be in charge of. that the penalty
- 1:27:47is only the social media companies pay more. But this
- 1:27:51guy goes on here. That's on top of the $375
- 1:27:56million judgment we got earlier in the year. That's almost
- 1:27:58a billion dollars just for the state of New Mexico.
- 1:28:00To put that in context, if the rest of the
- 1:28:02country got the kind of judgment that we got yesterday,
- 1:28:05it'd be $150 billion to Meta. Can you just hear?
- 1:28:09It's like a wet dream to this guy. If only
- 1:28:11every other state. that it's the it's the Massachusetts of
- 1:28:18the Southwest and it wasn't always that way it used
- 1:28:21to be a banging state it still has the most
- 1:28:23beautiful you know sunsets geography mountains it's it's absolutely gorgeous
- 1:28:29but it's been overrun by commie creeps and it's it's
- 1:28:31become kind of a depressing place outside of you know
- 1:28:34the natural topography it's it's sad yeah the sit there
- 1:28:38and be like oh social media is too popular let's
- 1:28:40see if we can monetize it yeah of course where
- 1:28:43the real answer is keep the children off of devices
- 1:28:46until they're of age, whatever that is. More importantly, however,
- 1:28:57now they are ordered to change how they do business
- 1:28:59in our state. This is a fight that's worth having.
- 1:29:02This is something that I am passionate about, and we're
- 1:29:04not done yet. We have a lot more left to
- 1:29:07do, specifically updating our laws, our consumer protection laws and
- 1:29:11our social media laws here in New Mexico to make
- 1:29:13it absolutely clear that you can't endanger our kids, you
- 1:29:17can't allow exploitation, and you've got to do a whole
- 1:29:20lot more to protect families and people, especially the most
- 1:29:24vulnerable members of our community. This is an important victory
- 1:29:27for us, first in the nation, first in the world.
- 1:29:30We got a lot more left to do, so stay
- 1:29:32tuned. Yeah, the amount of "rah-rah" is kind of disturbing.
- 1:29:36Oh, God. And that phrase, "more work to do," that's
- 1:29:39always a commie phrase. Have you noticed that? "In the
- 1:29:41most vulnerable." It's always, oh, it's always, it's the people
- 1:29:45that are having the biggest, you know, because, you know,
- 1:29:47rich white kids, they're not having their children exploited on
- 1:29:51the internet. No, it's always the most vulnerable. Yeah, oh
- 1:29:55yeah. Yeah, yeah. I don't buy it. Don't buy it
- 1:29:58for a minute.
- 1:30:00And parenting just has to be parenting. And these devices,
- 1:30:05I mean the concept is insane because anybody with logic
- 1:30:09can sit in a room. Even people that are not
- 1:30:11dudes named Ben. People who don't have any concept of
- 1:30:15how any of these systems work, you would understand. that
- 1:30:19well if a bunch of people are communicating online you're
- 1:30:23not going to be able to separate them into different
- 1:30:27categories because if you're like well no only people that
- 1:30:29are uh that are signed up as children under the
- 1:30:32age of 16 can talk in this group because yeah
- 1:30:35no adult is going to figure out how to sign
- 1:30:37up as no especially when kids in the united states
- 1:30:41you don't have an id until you're getting your driver's
- 1:30:44license maybe i guess you have a social security card
- 1:30:47but well not in california if you want to get
- 1:30:50medical attention you have an id at 12 and your
- 1:30:52parents can't look at it Multiple boots on the ground
- 1:30:57from your clip, which I was like this can't even
- 1:30:59be real in California It's real it is more than
- 1:31:03real it's happening in Illinois as well because California and
- 1:31:07Illinois are kind of like Mirrors when it comes to
- 1:31:10the law. Oh, yeah and parents saying I cannot get
- 1:31:14my child's medical records Without their approval at 12 years
- 1:31:20old and you walk into the doctor's office And they
- 1:31:24don't go, well, do you want your parent to be
- 1:31:27here with you? It's like, no, the doctor, you don't
- 1:31:29get that choice. Like, sorry, but this is the world
- 1:31:33we live in. Well, this is the commie world that
- 1:31:36we live in. This is commie canon. And it goes
- 1:31:38back a long, I mean, it goes back a long,
- 1:31:40long way. And if you think about it, Hillary wrote
- 1:31:46a very successful book called It Takes a Village, right?
- 1:31:50And that's exactly what it is. The village is going
- 1:31:54to raise your kid. You really will try calling the
- 1:31:56village when your kid's projectile vomiting at 3 a.m. They
- 1:32:00don't pick up. No, you know, it's complete crap. It's
- 1:32:03the state ruling everything. And Gavin, you know, Gavin Newsom
- 1:32:07and all those dirtbags in California, man, they need to
- 1:32:10be put in a rocket and then fired into the
- 1:32:12sun, really, because they're just raw, evil, evil people, really.
- 1:32:18But I mean, I know we go back to it
- 1:32:20a lot, but this is literally what these social list
- 1:32:23in communist regimes did. They go after the children. Oh,
- 1:32:27They indoctrinate the children and this is because then your
- 1:32:30children start coming home like, "Oh yes, mom and dad,
- 1:32:34you're problematic. "You're way of thinking." So I told, I
- 1:32:37told Governor Newsom what you were thinking of doing. Homeschooling
- 1:32:42me, ha ha, they're taking me away. They're gonna put
- 1:32:45me in a nice camp somewhere. This is why you
- 1:32:49need people to stand up and make their voices heard.
- 1:32:54One guy that did that, our buddy Scott Lobito. Anybody
- 1:32:57that's been listening to Planet Rage has heard Scott's voice
- 1:33:00more than once, and I know. I wish we had
- 1:33:04Bing It IO like we do for this show for
- 1:33:07Planet Rage because you could do a search for anything
- 1:33:10that Adam and John have talked about over the years.
- 1:33:13But I know you and I on a few occasions
- 1:33:17while watching one of Scott's videos said, this guy's close
- 1:33:21to a heart attack, man. We did that several times.
- 1:33:24You are correct. And then he had one because, I
- 1:33:27mean, when we were doing Planet Rage, which was kind
- 1:33:30of like No Agenda with more swearing, and playing up
- 1:33:34the anger bit. I mean, we're still mad about this
- 1:33:36stuff, but it's playing it up for the entertainment value.
- 1:33:42I mean, overall, I think when you and I stop
- 1:33:45doing the show, when the end of that period of
- 1:33:48the day, we go off and have fun. Always. We
- 1:33:52listen to music and we enjoy what we're doing. Scott,
- 1:33:55I think, has been pissed off for a long time.
- 1:33:57You know, I had kind of an epiphany just before
- 1:34:02I sent you this clip. about Scott. And he, I
- 1:34:07mean, he's... The interesting thing about him, he's definitely a
- 1:34:11right winger. His head's in the right place. I love
- 1:34:14his salty language. He reminds me more of Sinatra speaking-wise
- 1:34:19than anybody I've ever heard. Yes, yes, absolutely. And Scott,
- 1:34:25unlike most right wingers, certainly myself included, I think I'm
- 1:34:29kind of typical because for the most part, actually, I
- 1:34:32never voted until I had kids. That's the only time
- 1:34:34I started caring. But I knew it was going on.
- 1:34:38But still, what do we want to do? Well, you
- 1:34:39know, it's like life is good. I'm going to go
- 1:34:41see Billy Idol and then, you know, maybe I'll go
- 1:34:44to the beach and, you know, play with moose for
- 1:34:46a while. Politics is not the focal point of my
- 1:34:51existence. But for most lefties, like Bernie, like Newscum, like
- 1:34:56AOC, it is a religion. They are ideologues. It never
- 1:35:01leaves their minds. And Scott, in that way, he kind
- 1:35:05of operates like they do. Because he never unwound, I
- 1:35:08think. You know what I mean? He seemed like he
- 1:35:10was always ready for combat. And it finally caught up
- 1:35:13with his aorta, I guess. I think he had a
- 1:35:15double bite, but whatever. Something very serious, you know. But
- 1:35:18he's an interesting character. He flatlined for two minutes. Yeah.
- 1:35:22Ouch. I do want to point out to people, Larry
- 1:35:25is not like a northern exposure, out in the woods
- 1:35:28kind of guy. Moose is a very little white puppy.
- 1:35:32Yes. Moose is 13 pounds of, he's more like a
- 1:35:35bull of a deer. He just wants to hang around
- 1:35:37and eat escargot and drink fine wine. People were imagining
- 1:35:41a much different thing where you're like, I go out,
- 1:35:42I play with Moose. They're like, whoa, this guy's real.
- 1:35:46Oh, no, no. Moose is a lap dog, 100%. And
- 1:35:50he brings the ladies in. That's the only reason to
- 1:35:53get a cute little white dog. He does, yeah. Is
- 1:35:56there any other setup on this libido clip? No, what
- 1:35:59Scott is, like I said, he's so hardcore, Darren, that
- 1:36:03I think he had his cardiac epithelium like four days
- 1:36:08ago And then he, within I think the first or
- 1:36:12second day, he had a video of himself in his
- 1:36:15hospital bed. And he's got, you know, he's got IVs
- 1:36:17going into him and bandages and it's very serious stuff.
- 1:36:21But he did a video saying, you know, I'm not
- 1:36:25done. I'm still in. Stay with me. I'm getting out
- 1:36:28of here very soon. I mean, he's a force of
- 1:36:30nature. There's no question about that. And then this clip
- 1:36:35really demonstrates that because the guy's arranging things from his
- 1:36:39hospital bed. He's got his own Air Force. Listen to
- 1:36:42this clip. It's like he literally can't even slow down
- 1:36:45for a minute. No. No. Yeah. Scott Lobedo organized a
- 1:36:49protest, America's Artist, against Zorhan Mondani, and they blew them
- 1:36:53off. Scott had a confrontation, actually had a heart attack,
- 1:36:57almost died. But today, we're just getting this video in,
- 1:37:00first year on Newsmax. Scott Lobedo apparently chartered a plane
- 1:37:05from his hospital bed, and he's flying this banner over
- 1:37:10New York City with a direct message to Zorhan Mondani.
- 1:37:15And the guy was almost dead. You see this flying
- 1:37:19up and down New York City. This is actually a
- 1:37:22live view right now, first on Newsmax. Mondani, stay away
- 1:37:27from ground zero. And I don't think you could be
- 1:37:29any more clear than that. Shocked a guy who just
- 1:37:33had open heart surgery, took the time, but I guess
- 1:37:36he wants Mondani to know that the booming's not gonna
- 1:37:39stop. New York City's getting a clear message from Staten
- 1:37:44Islanders led by Scott Libato. Pretty cool, right? Yeah, that's
- 1:37:49the commitment to the craft. Exactly. I mean, exactly. That
- 1:37:53guy is a true believer, and wow. I salute him.
- 1:37:57And I saw the clip. Ma'am Donnie was booed offstage.
- 1:38:00I think it was mainly by a police audience, was
- 1:38:03it, in New York? Yeah, I guess it was. I'm
- 1:38:07sure if he had his homies there, they'd have drowned
- 1:38:09out the police, because he's very popular with them. And
- 1:38:13then Elizabeth Warren was booed for saying something. Oh, good.
- 1:38:17Maybe people are waking up a little bit more. Maybe.
- 1:38:20Because she made a comment somewhere, and she was sitting
- 1:38:24on a panel because she was sitting there with the
- 1:38:25little microphone and her name in front of her. And
- 1:38:28she actually said that she's been tough on the border,
- 1:38:31and people just started laughing. Oh, my God. You can't
- 1:38:36make this stuff up. It's like, I don't know if
- 1:38:38these people are delusional. Or what? It's like, but you
- 1:38:42are not tough on the border, madam. I mean, you're
- 1:38:45welcome to your point of view if you want open
- 1:38:48borders, but this is where people really start jumping into
- 1:38:53that dimension B. Maybe she wants people to think now
- 1:38:56that she's been tough on the borders and the AI.
- 1:38:58Well, she said she was tough on the borders. just
- 1:39:04literal insanity and people always complain when they're hearing this
- 1:39:09kind of stuff and like like you just said you
- 1:39:11lean right wing it's like i lean right wing but
- 1:39:15i will tell you that the Republicans are not perfect
- 1:39:18and there are things that are going wrong and it
- 1:39:20doesn't affect the ability to understand the crap that you're
- 1:39:24being fed. Yeah. And if I could find it. I
- 1:39:29would bring you all of the right-wing drivel that is
- 1:39:35meeting the level of the left, but I can't. So,
- 1:39:37I mean, I will challenge any of those people that
- 1:39:40are like, oh, no, all of these, everybody, the right-wing
- 1:39:43does the same thing. Well, send in those clips. I
- 1:39:45would love. Yeah. to see them that are the equivalent
- 1:39:49of, you know, Donald Trump can't even make a complete
- 1:39:52sentence and they cut to the video of the guy
- 1:39:53like doing Shakespeare and it's like. That's not the result.
- 1:40:00Thune and Murkowski, but yeah. And I got to know
- 1:40:04what this next clip you got here is about sunscreen
- 1:40:07and the COVID vax. Is this like literally second half
- 1:40:12of show kind of things? I don't know. I mean,
- 1:40:15it's just, again, I tripped over this one. And it's,
- 1:40:21who's that congressman? You'll recognize his voice, the guy's name.
- 1:40:24He's very articulate, smooth. But he said, hey, just play
- 1:40:28the clip. Have I been lied to as a Florida
- 1:40:31man about sunscreen protecting me from cancer? Yes, it appears
- 1:40:35we've all been lied to. Unfortunately, this massive study of
- 1:40:39over 470,000 people confirms it. It's very worrisome that when
- 1:40:45they compared sunscreen users to non-sunscreen users, the sunscreen users
- 1:40:50faced increased risks of all the major skin cancers, melanoma,
- 1:40:56squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma. evasive melanoma was
- 1:41:05300% higher risk in the sunscreen users. They accounted for
- 1:41:11skin color, time spent outdoors, and many other things, sex,
- 1:41:16age, and they still found these increased risks of the
- 1:41:18cancer. So when you use sunscreen all the time, you're
- 1:41:21blocking your body's ability to synthesize vitamin D, which is
- 1:41:25critical for cancer defense. So you do not want to
- 1:41:28shut that off. A JAMA study just came out and
- 1:41:30found all those active ingredients in the sunscreens get into
- 1:41:35your circulation. They get into your body above FDA regulatory
- 1:41:39limits. If you really have to use it, if you'll
- 1:41:41be out in the sun for six hours, midsummer day,
- 1:41:45you still want to use something, I would use zinc-based
- 1:41:49sunscreen, not oxybenzone, none of those hormone disrupting. Wow. Yeah,
- 1:41:54how about that? Matt Gates was interviewing this guy. And
- 1:41:58there was some companion verbiage to it, Darren, and it
- 1:42:01said that the incidence of just skyrocketed. And it was
- 1:42:06almost unheard of back in the 1930s, 40s, whatever. And
- 1:42:12there was further evidence they had that a lot of
- 1:42:14it is not just linked to the... dangerous gunk that
- 1:42:19might be in the stuff we spray in our faces
- 1:42:21and arms and shoulders, but it's diet related in that
- 1:42:25all the crap that we eat, the processed foods, somehow
- 1:42:30reduces our resistance to it. And it said that people
- 1:42:32who are going more in the vein of heavy carnivores
- 1:42:37of properly raised beef, people who used to get terribly
- 1:42:40sunburned will switch to a diet of beef. I don't
- 1:42:43know if this is true, but it's the report. And
- 1:42:45go out and they'll get a color. but they won't
- 1:42:49scald and blister and peel the way they did back
- 1:42:52when they were on the crappy diet. So they're eat
- 1:42:55more steak and hamburger. This is the Texas Beef Initiative
- 1:42:59sponsoring us. There it is. And everybody likes steak. Well,
- 1:43:02not everybody, but a lot of people do. And it
- 1:43:05makes sense that your diet would have an effect. I
- 1:43:08mean, vitamin D is one of the main things when
- 1:43:11you go to the doctor and they do the blood
- 1:43:12test. You either got enough or you don't. If you
- 1:43:14don't know, you got to supplement it. Yeah. But the
- 1:43:19dangerous chemicals in all of this, it's like diet soda.
- 1:43:22So you read the chemical list and you're like, hey,
- 1:43:23did you really just drink water? Exactly. Yeah. That stuff's
- 1:43:28so bad. I could never, ever get past the aftertaste
- 1:43:32in diet sodas. Never. The aspartame or the saccharin was
- 1:43:38the worst one at first. But they never taste just
- 1:43:42like, oh, no, it tastes just like regular soda, which
- 1:43:45is horrible for you as well. But you know what?
- 1:43:47Sugar is less of a problem if, well, back in
- 1:43:51the days when you actually had natural cane sugar in
- 1:43:54your soda rather than the high fructose corn syrup. Right.
- 1:43:59They cut the corners and try to make more money
- 1:44:02on every product that they put out there. Sure. Do
- 1:44:06they sell Mexican Coke in Chicago? Yeah. When we used
- 1:44:09to go to Costco, we'd get the 18-pack or whatever
- 1:44:13it was, and then you kind of just had to
- 1:44:15cut back because it's just so good. But in the
- 1:44:17summer, There's nothing like. a bottle glass bottle yeah of
- 1:44:23mexican coke real cane sugar real change and the taste
- 1:44:27is astonishingly different than the other crap yes you can
- 1:44:31tell i mean if you can't tell the difference then
- 1:44:34your taste buds are dead yes yes that's how it
- 1:44:37is with all the real cane sugar sodas over the
- 1:44:42counterparts that have the high fructose corn syrup there is
- 1:44:45a different taste and your body reacts totally differently to
- 1:44:48them Do you remember the stuff that came out probably
- 1:44:5130 years ago called Jolt? Yeah, that was the best,
- 1:44:54man. And they said like right in the label, twice
- 1:44:57the caffeine. Like all the bad shit was in there.
- 1:45:01Drink this Jolt. It's come and gone a few times.
- 1:45:05Somebody tried to revive it. Back in the day when
- 1:45:09all the computer guys were drinking Balls, B-A-W-L-S, which is
- 1:45:13another like totally caffeinated drink. Hey, you want to stay
- 1:45:17up all night and game or code? Oh, wow. Speaking
- 1:45:22of balls. Oh, I hope, I'm praying. I know you
- 1:45:26mentioned something about WNBA and I'm hoping you're going to
- 1:45:30cover this. Yeah, this story is oddly at the front
- 1:45:36of the news and it has been for the last
- 1:45:39few days and it continues to get stranger. And bigger,
- 1:45:45I think. It does. It continues to get bigger. There
- 1:45:48were a couple of things going on. The first was
- 1:45:51Clay Travis from Outkick Sports said, well, you know, if
- 1:45:54you really want to. Stand by your guns that women
- 1:45:58and men are the same. Well, then he had an
- 1:46:01idea. Because the WNBA has right now a lot of
- 1:46:05coaches that are coming out, including in the last day
- 1:46:08or two, saying, hey, if a man identifies as a
- 1:46:12woman, he should be able to play in the WNBA.
- 1:46:16I think that is absolutely ludicrous. It's absurd. The WNBA
- 1:46:19commissioner has not spoken out in favor of Sophie Cunningham
- 1:46:23or even just in favor of basic rules. It's called
- 1:46:26the WNBA because it's the women's basketball association there, right?
- 1:46:32play, I think we should have an actual game. Not
- 1:46:36NBA players against WNBA players. High school boys. Let me
- 1:46:41pick a team. I will put it on pay-per-view. We'll
- 1:46:44donate all the profits to Tunnel to Towers for Wounded
- 1:46:48Warriors, for the families out there that they're helping to
- 1:46:50take care of, first responders. You know Frank Siller. They
- 1:46:54do incredible work. We'll put it on pay-per-view. If the
- 1:46:57high school boys win, I will give them $10 million.
- 1:47:00If the WNBA team wins, I will give them $10
- 1:47:03million. I think we would raise tens of millions of
- 1:47:06dollars for charity. And I'm putting my money where my
- 1:47:10mouth is. If the WNBA really doesn't believe that men
- 1:47:15are that much better than women at basketball, then the
- 1:47:18champion of the WNBA should be able to beat a
- 1:47:22bunch of high school boys, Will. So far, they haven't
- 1:47:25responded. They always talk about how they want more money.
- 1:47:32in the history of the sport. He's right. I think
- 1:47:37the highest... Payroll on a WNBA team now is $7
- 1:47:43million for the season. Wow. And he's offering, and the
- 1:47:48people coming in to the league, this made big news
- 1:47:51when Caitlin Clark came into the league two years ago,
- 1:47:55was between 70 and 80,000. So we can round up
- 1:47:57and say 80,000. Sure. Offering $10 million to beat a
- 1:48:02high school boys basketball team. Why wouldn't these women jump
- 1:48:07at it if they thought they had even an even
- 1:48:10chance of winning? Sure. Because he also went on to
- 1:48:14say that he has heard from countless high school coaches
- 1:48:17that are like, hey, hey, hey, look at my team.
- 1:48:20I'll bet, yeah. And this makes a very... valid point
- 1:48:26that We have covered here and other places that men
- 1:48:31and women are not equal physically. They're not? Strength makes
- 1:48:36a difference. I know. But this is how, I mean,
- 1:48:39just keeping with this little part of the story, this
- 1:48:43is how this challenge that the guy from Outkick putting
- 1:48:47out, the $10 million challenge, this is how it was
- 1:48:50covered by an anchor out of Minneapolis who is an
- 1:48:56outwardly, queer woman anchor, but you can figure out what
- 1:49:02her point of view might be here. One last thing
- 1:49:05tonight. The entire world of women's sports is facing the
- 1:49:08debate within its own leagues of who should get to
- 1:49:11play and who should not. And a voice that often
- 1:49:14shouts loudly in that debate is a right-leaning outlet owned
- 1:49:17by Fox News called Outkick Sports. And today its founder
- 1:49:20took to a new stunt, one that really makes no
- 1:49:23sense if OutKick is really concerned about caring about women
- 1:49:26in women's sports. Okay, can anybody explain to me how
- 1:49:29that has anything to do except to show that he
- 1:49:32cares about women in women's sports, not having to play
- 1:49:36against a larger, more powerful man? But no, no, she's
- 1:49:43going to take it the exact opposite direction and pretend,
- 1:49:45oh no, I can't even figure out why, Larry. Clay
- 1:49:50Travis, he's the man behind Outkick. He announced today he's
- 1:49:53offering $10 million to the winner of a game of
- 1:49:56basketball between a high school boys team of his choosing
- 1:49:59and the
- 1:50:00WNBA defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces. I thought to
- 1:50:04myself, why? But obviously the answer is because he thinks
- 1:50:08it is so impossible for any group of women, let
- 1:50:10alone the best in the game, that they could ever
- 1:50:13beat younger and more inexperienced boys. It's a thinly veiled
- 1:50:18sexist joke. What? I know! I know! What? How is
- 1:50:24this a sexist joke? It is making a valid point.
- 1:50:28And he's putting up enough money, madam. That she's probably
- 1:50:34annoyed by that because I think she was a they
- 1:50:35there. They're putting up enough money. that this would be
- 1:50:41a big payday for this team. So how is it
- 1:50:43a joke? Somebody's offering you $10 million to play high
- 1:50:47school boys. This is the championship women's team in the
- 1:50:50WNBA to play a bunch of high school boys for
- 1:50:54$10 million. How is that? Really? I don't think it's
- 1:51:00thinly veiled at all. I think it's right out there.
- 1:51:02How is it a sexist joke? I don't think it
- 1:51:04is. younger and more inexperienced boys. It's a thinly veiled
- 1:51:10sexist joke, revealing the actual truth of how he and
- 1:51:12his organization feel about women's sports. It's not about caring
- 1:51:16about them. They think women's sports are a joke. No,
- 1:51:20we just think you're a joke lady. Yeah, well they
- 1:51:22think women's sports... She's 50% correct, Larry, because they think
- 1:51:27women's sports is a joke once you allow men. to
- 1:51:31start playing in that league. Well, there's a lot of
- 1:51:35volunteers now, aren't there? Three the last time I checked.
- 1:51:38Yeah, I've got two. This is the second one that
- 1:51:40came out. This is Royce White, former NBA first-round draft
- 1:51:44pick. That's a cool first name, Royce. He's got a
- 1:51:48brother named Rolls, I guess. Earlier this week, I made
- 1:51:53the announcement. I'm transgender. I'm a woman. I identify as
- 1:51:57sometimes identifying as a woman for purposes of basketball, professional
- 1:52:02basketball. So I'll be declaring for the WNBA draft in
- 1:52:052027 as well. I mean, I think I'd be unstoppable.
- 1:52:11But I'm a team first guy. I'm a pass first
- 1:52:14kind of player. I do the little things. I led
- 1:52:17my team in all five major stat categories at Iowa
- 1:52:20State University. So I do a little bit of everything.
- 1:52:23I'll do whatever the coach needs me to do. I'll
- 1:52:24do whatever the girls need me to do. I think
- 1:52:28the WNBA could come out and make a definitive statement
- 1:52:31about guys with a pair of balls playing in the
- 1:52:34women's association. But, you know, hey, that'd be. That'd be
- 1:52:38probably too much like right. And I don't want to
- 1:52:41be discriminated against. I want fair treatment. I'm a black,
- 1:52:46I'm a young black, hopefully United States Senator, that would
- 1:52:52like a fair chance to participate as a sometimes identifying
- 1:52:56as a transgender woman athlete. Like, his delivery was good
- 1:53:03on that one. Royce is cool, man. I dig that.
- 1:53:05And the latest from the WNBA, because, of course, they're
- 1:53:10like, oh, geez, now what? Well, this is still a
- 1:53:14nuanced topic, Larry. It's nuanced. Nuanced? Yeah. Okay. Whether it's
- 1:53:20a dude. with balls or whether it's a female for
- 1:53:24the WNBA it is still This next clip here is
- 1:53:29the original guy, NS Cantor Freedom. He was the first
- 1:53:32one that came out. And so I've got, I think,
- 1:53:35like the first 20 seconds or so is his. statement
- 1:53:38saying he wants to play in the WNBA, followed immediately
- 1:53:42by Stephen A. Smith and his reaction. on trans. We
- 1:54:09don't want to hate on trans folks. That's not what
- 1:54:10that's about. Anybody who's hating on them should be ashamed
- 1:54:13of themselves. The WNBA, the NDA, and everybody else in
- 1:54:17between is absolutely right when they talk about not violating
- 1:54:20people's civil rights and liberties, not being hateful, not engaging
- 1:54:25in hate in any way, shape, form, or fashion, whether
- 1:54:27verbally, physically, or otherwise. We all know that. But what
- 1:54:31Anita's cancer is pointing to is about competition. So for
- 1:54:35somebody and for folks to act like it would be
- 1:54:41okay for them to participate in the WNBA is ridiculous.
- 1:54:45And when you have athletes from the WNBA saying that
- 1:54:49they're looking out for and speaking up on behalf of
- 1:54:53girls because it would clearly be an unfair advantage to
- 1:54:58a trans athlete. over people born female. What's the problem?
- 1:55:04What's the problem? We got to have common sense. And
- 1:55:07yes, Enos Cantor is going a bit too far, but
- 1:55:10he's right to do so to make a point. And
- 1:55:12Royce White, former NBA player, now a conservative pundit, he's
- 1:55:16right too because he's trying to make a point. Certain
- 1:55:18things are beyond ridiculous and you got to call it
- 1:55:21out. Just to send a message. Do you get it
- 1:55:24now? Are you sure you want to continue this subject?
- 1:55:27Are you sure you want to continue on this path?
- 1:55:29Sure you don't want to be political pawns. Fine. Then
- 1:55:32understand that the WNBA is for girls and people born
- 1:55:36female and leave it at that. And stop acting like
- 1:55:38you don't know. Otherwise, there'll be a lot more Enos
- 1:55:40Cantus. We all know y'all don't want that. Yeah, but
- 1:55:45I'm not sure they don't want that. I mean, that's
- 1:55:47the weird thing with whatever's going on at the WNBA.
- 1:55:51This is just a really quick clip from the head
- 1:55:54coach of the Indiana— Before you go there, I just
- 1:55:57want to say I really enjoyed listening to Stephen A.
- 1:56:01Smith there because he was talking, not screaming. He's hit
- 1:56:04and miss. Well, that was actually very good. It was
- 1:56:07very good. He needs to stay that course. I'm sorry
- 1:56:10for the interruption. Mellow out that delivery rather than going
- 1:56:13the— Yeah, yeah. Well. Let me tell you, Larry. Let
- 1:56:17me tell you this. That's very good. You got it,
- 1:56:21man. He goes from the quiet to the loud, the
- 1:56:23quiet to the loud. He is working the crowd all
- 1:56:27the time. This is the coach of the Indiana Fever,
- 1:56:29which is the team with Sophie Cunningham and with Caitlin
- 1:56:32Clark. And when she was asked about this particular... nun
- 1:56:39drum about well men and women's sports her answer was
- 1:56:42maybe possibly the dumbest thing I've heard so far in
- 1:56:48this whole ordeal. What is your stance on men or
- 1:56:52athletes who test as biological male participating in women's sports?
- 1:56:56What's your personal stance? Yeah, I mean, I don't know
- 1:57:00that I would say that I'm educated enough from a
- 1:57:02scientific standpoint. I don't ever believe that exclusion is an
- 1:57:05answer. I just don't. She is not educated enough in
- 1:57:10the scientific standpoint to understand the difference between a male
- 1:57:14and a female. Head coach, Indiana Fever. She must be
- 1:57:17friends with that Supreme Court justice who couldn't say what
- 1:57:20a woman was. Yes. Yeah. It's the same thing. I
- 1:57:23mean, I saw a, it was either a meme or
- 1:57:25somebody posted the other day that if somebody would have
- 1:57:27told you 10 years ago that the biggest argument going
- 1:57:30around the country would be whether a man, what is
- 1:57:33a man and what is a woman, nobody would believe
- 1:57:36it. It's incredible. I know how we can take advantage
- 1:57:41of this, Darren. We're going to go to the WNBA.
- 1:57:43I could play. Even with one eye, I could play.
- 1:57:46You could, absolutely. I'm sure you'd do very well. But
- 1:57:48I'm thinking maybe what we need to do is propose
- 1:57:52Adam C. Curry. He is 6'5". So am I. You
- 1:57:56are too. Imagine what it would do suddenly. These podcast
- 1:58:00guys, they want in now. I mean, holy, that would
- 1:58:04be sensational. What a play. The towers of power. comment
- 1:58:08to you right from the WNBA. Yes, yes, yes. And
- 1:58:12just to prove. how deeply ingrained in identity politics that
- 1:58:18the WNBA is. The coach, which we just heard from,
- 1:58:22from the Indiana Fever, there was a flagrant foul called
- 1:58:27on Sophie Cunningham, who is now getting the crap beat
- 1:58:31out of her, just like Caitlin Clark has had. I
- 1:58:34saw that. That was infuriating, man. The foul was up
- 1:58:38to the level where the player was ejected. the Indiana
- 1:58:45Fever, the coach that is on Sophie's team, the woman
- 1:58:49that got mauled. was like, well, you know, I guess
- 1:58:53it was the right call, but I don't think it
- 1:58:54was intentional. Like, sure, sure, it wasn't intentional, but the...
- 1:59:00player that fouled her so hard she was ejected. went
- 1:59:06immediately to social media. And do you know what she
- 1:59:10posted on social media? Tell me. White privilege. Because Sophie's
- 1:59:16white and this girl's black. This is how down the
- 1:59:20rabbit hole. these folks in the wnba are and nobody
- 1:59:24ever cared about the wnba let's be honest No. Until
- 1:59:29Caitlin Clark got there. But it's a very good example
- 1:59:32of the culture war that is going on right now.
- 1:59:36Yes, yes, yes, it is. And it's hilarious to me
- 1:59:40that you have NBA guys now going, well, I'd like
- 1:59:43to play. Well, you and Adam have to be next.
- 1:59:46They're going to let him in. I want to find
- 1:59:48out what kind of a fund that could be. But
- 1:59:52since people say, you know, we don't go after the
- 1:59:54right wingers enough, here is a clip from Megyn Kelly
- 1:59:57where I think she's being a total bitch.
- 2:00:01Caitlin Clark was directly asked to speak on it, and
- 2:00:04she was cowardly. She refused to do it. It is
- 2:00:09one thing to inject politics into your sport where they
- 2:00:14don't belong, like Colin Kaepernick kneeling in the middle of
- 2:00:18professional football games. It's quite another when little girls are
- 2:00:22getting the shit kicked out of them in their sport,
- 2:00:25and you are the most famous woman in women's basketball,
- 2:00:29and you're directly asked as the issue rears its head
- 2:00:32in your sport, and you punt on it. You won't
- 2:00:37say anything. You'd rather let the 12-year-olds handle it. that
- 2:00:43Big words from Megan for trying to get in the...
- 2:00:48Shoes of a Caitlin Clark who is already getting the
- 2:00:52crap kicked out of her by the other women in
- 2:00:54the league. Yes. And if she doesn't want to make
- 2:00:59a statement. That's America, baby. She doesn't have to get
- 2:01:03political. No, she doesn't. No. You know, so to be
- 2:01:07here and be like, no, she's in, you know, I
- 2:01:10just don't even understand. the insanity that this is where
- 2:01:16we are now, that you have to. I mean, I'm
- 2:01:19tired of people that are like you. Not only do
- 2:01:21you have to support us or believe that we're right,
- 2:01:24but you have to now come out and publicly. say
- 2:01:28something, getting called out. I think Meghan's forgetting, you know,
- 2:01:31that this is a free country. And that this woman
- 2:01:36is getting the crap kicked out of her on a
- 2:01:38daily basis. It was a great... 10, 12 minutes. Victor
- 2:01:44Davis Hanson did the other day. Check it out on
- 2:01:47YouTube talking about this. But he's like the identity politics
- 2:01:50in the WNBA. Very interesting because it seems that it
- 2:01:55is a majority black players and also a majority lesbian.
- 2:02:02And you have Caitlin Clark and now Sophie Cunningham, who
- 2:02:06are straight white girls, that... all of a sudden are
- 2:02:11the most popular people in the league and are now,
- 2:02:15even though these other players. have gone from literally the
- 2:02:20change because caitlyn clark hitting in the amount of people
- 2:02:23that are watching the wnba they've gone from having to
- 2:02:27fly coach to being able to fly private all of
- 2:02:31their contracts have gone up they're all making more money
- 2:02:36but they hate her Because she doesn't look like them
- 2:02:40because she doesn't share the same You know sexual preference
- 2:02:45that they do it is insane Yeah. I'm not a
- 2:02:50regular watcher of Megyn Kelly, but lately I kind of
- 2:02:53get the feeling very often she's just doing a pot-stirring
- 2:02:56deal, you know? Maybe it was the Ozempic. I mean,
- 2:02:59something happened. Oh, did she Ozempic herself, too? Yeah, I
- 2:03:01think so. I mean, there was a change that was
- 2:03:03pretty quick at one point. But, I mean, that's just
- 2:03:07speculation. That is just from the producer's mode, as John
- 2:03:11and Adam would always say. Just strictly from a producer's
- 2:03:16mode where we'll comment upon the way that she looks.
- 2:03:19Megan's an amateur. She's an amateur compared to Ariana Grande.
- 2:03:22I know. The girl needs a hamburger, man. I'm telling
- 2:03:25you. That girl needs professional attention. I mean, she's getting
- 2:03:29into the Karen Carpenter zone. I mean, really, that's no
- 2:03:32joke. It's sad. It is, because she's got talent. She
- 2:03:35can sing. She's got tremendous talent, yeah. I mean, you
- 2:03:37may not like her music, but she can actually sing
- 2:03:40without all of the auto-tune and all of that. Sure.
- 2:03:44Very talented girl. I see these pictures like, oh, my
- 2:03:47God. Wow. What are you doing? How much is social
- 2:03:50media? Because they are being judged on a minute-by-minute basis.
- 2:03:54And you and I will read at some point some
- 2:03:56of the reviews of us doing the show. Adam was
- 2:03:59very kind. A lot of people seem to like what
- 2:04:01we're doing. But there are some that have been vicious.
- 2:04:04No. Nobody could. Larry and I, it's kind of like,
- 2:04:08hey, did you see this one? Oh, yeah, did you
- 2:04:09see this? And it's funny, but for somebody like Ariana
- 2:04:12Grande, I mean, the negativity might actually cause a problem.
- 2:04:18And, you know, oh, no, I got to be perfect.
- 2:04:21I got to achieve whatever the goal is. And this
- 2:04:24social media with kids that do nothing but sit at
- 2:04:27home on their screens rather than going out and having
- 2:04:31conversations with their friends and not worried about what anybody
- 2:04:35outside of their little group. cared about. I mean, that's...
- 2:04:39Didn't have the... to see that until the internet rolled
- 2:04:44around and by the time the internet rolled around I
- 2:04:46mean it really became prevalent you know I was already
- 2:04:49in my 30s so by that point you have a
- 2:04:52whole different skin on you to take the people that
- 2:04:57are going to be haters. But it's horrible. I mean,
- 2:05:00I don't have kids, so a lot of people are
- 2:05:02like, oh, you shouldn't even comment. But you can see
- 2:05:04it. It's dangerous. It's bad. It's very dangerous. Very so.
- 2:05:08Much so. I think Adam had a great phrase for,
- 2:05:12what do you say, sort of like the... It wasn't
- 2:05:15chemically or digitally induced autism. Yeah. And I absolutely know
- 2:05:21that for a fact because I, you know, back in
- 2:05:23the day in school and my kids were in school
- 2:05:26in Los Angeles. There were several kids I knew that
- 2:05:30the goddamn iPad was just basically stitched to the palms
- 2:05:35of their hands. They never put it down. And by
- 2:05:39the time these kids were five, six years old, they
- 2:05:41basically, I don't know whether they couldn't or wouldn't speak.
- 2:05:44Wow. You know, like, yeah. Yeah, like, what are you
- 2:05:47doing? Rip that out of that kid's paws, you know?
- 2:05:51So, yeah, yeah, it is what it is. Yes, again,
- 2:05:56parents, make your kids grow up without the technology as
- 2:06:00much as you can. Some people will be like, it's
- 2:06:02impossible, Juan. I don't think it's impossible. You can limit
- 2:06:05it. You can do a flip phone if you want
- 2:06:08to feel like your kid can get a hold of
- 2:06:09you. Do the flip phone. They don't need full access
- 2:06:13to everything, at least until they're in high school. And
- 2:06:16even then, you want to be on top of them
- 2:06:19and understand and explain. You're going to have to have
- 2:06:23those hard conversations. I mean, parents never want to have,
- 2:06:25you know, the birds and the bees. It's always like,
- 2:06:27oh, maybe I can wait. I don't want to do
- 2:06:29it when they're 12. But you've got to be on
- 2:06:31top of this stuff. Give me an etch-a-sketch. That's the
- 2:06:34answer. I used to be like, I know. Oh, man,
- 2:06:39it's like turn one knob, turn the other knob. You
- 2:06:41know, there's like at least three no agenda artists right
- 2:06:44now like, action sketch, that's the artwork we're going to
- 2:06:46need. Could do anything but dot an I. That was
- 2:06:49it. Yeah. You can't skip. You'd have to be really
- 2:06:51good to skip. Now, you've got one more here. I've
- 2:06:55got one more. Is there a setup? Forget that one.
- 2:06:57We'll save that for next time. Good old Stevie Miller.
- 2:07:01Yeah. There's no shelf life to it. It'll be just
- 2:07:05as good next time. Well, this one for anybody that
- 2:07:08has listened to Planet Rage. you you will recognize this
- 2:07:13horrible AI tune. *laughter* like to congratulate President Trump on
- 2:07:46becoming the first U.S. leader to lose a war. Iran
- 2:07:51makes a deal, all right, not with Trump, but with
- 2:07:55Oman. They now jointly control the Strait of Hormuz and
- 2:08:00Trump and the U.S. We can pay the effing toll.
- 2:08:05Cash only! There didn't used to be a toll. Now
- 2:08:09there's a toll. Big L for Trump. Trump, an American
- 2:08:14president, has lost a war. I'm so tired of all
- 2:08:17the winning, so let's try all the losing. Yes, the
- 2:08:21Countdown podcast is back. Glad you noticed after 88 days
- 2:08:26of rest and recovery. Yeah, I just wanted to say
- 2:08:2988. 88. Please, thank you. And we have Trump losing
- 2:08:34in Iran, Abdul El-Sayed winning in Michigan and immediately going
- 2:08:37on the offensive, throwing punches at the Republican. The bigger
- 2:08:41picture about how Trump is making pollution and death by
- 2:08:44climate change great again. The failures of Maggie Haberman and
- 2:08:48The Times and the Tony Fauci hearings. or the many
- 2:08:53faces of Laura Ingraham. And you know what I mean!
- 2:08:59All on the Thursday Countdown Podcast, wherever you podcast, and
- 2:09:02the full video version. Me on camera for an hour.
- 2:09:07I don't know if that's a great selling point. Now
- 2:09:10on YouTube. No, it's not. It's not a great selling
- 2:09:13point. I am so glad you did that. And what
- 2:09:16great timing on Keith's part. I think in some way,
- 2:09:18like, we're magnetically linked, we three. Back after almost three
- 2:09:23months because he started having AFib. And his doctor told
- 2:09:28him that he should cut down on the anger. But
- 2:09:31I doubt he's one that can. Picked down on the
- 2:09:35anger. He doesn't seem like he could. But he's a
- 2:09:38better doctor than Scott Lobato does. Well, he got him
- 2:09:42before the... That's true. So it's good to hear Keith's
- 2:09:46voice again. I'm glad he's around. And let's... I want
- 2:09:51to give full credit. That composition is all Darren O'Neill.
- 2:09:56He's not doing the singing. No, bad AI. Ha ha.
- 2:10:00But, man, that became an absolute classic on Planet Rage.
- 2:10:04People always wanted to hear that. Keef the Kweef. And
- 2:10:07you did several iterations, but that's the best one. That's
- 2:10:10really great. Again, we learned from no agenda. People like,
- 2:10:13and then all of a sudden you create something like
- 2:10:15that, and they're like, oh, no, you've got to keep
- 2:10:16playing that. Yeah. How these things happen, we'll never know.
- 2:10:21We're just glad they do. Show my support by donating
- 2:10:25to No Agenda. Imagine all the people who could do
- 2:10:28that. Oh yeah, that'd be fab. Yeah, this is a
- 2:10:39podcast that is out there. It's value for value. And
- 2:10:43Sir Chris Wilson sent this out, too, for the value
- 2:10:45for value. So let me listen to this. This is
- 2:10:47your amygdala. Shut up! This is the mainstream media. We
- 2:10:52are concerned about the struggle of trying to be responsible.
- 2:10:54One side of these stories is playing in our country.
- 2:10:57This is your amygdala without no agenda. Any questions? It's
- 2:11:04donate, donate, donate. Time, talent, and treasure. There's no ads.
- 2:11:09There's no corporate money. There is no paywall. There's no
- 2:11:12Patreon. There's no subscription you can't figure out how to
- 2:11:15get out of. We highly recommend you get a podcasting
- 2:11:182.0 app. You can get it at podcastapps.com. Then you
- 2:11:21can get the bat signal when we go live. You
- 2:11:24can always know when we go live. You know when
- 2:11:26there's a new show. If you laugh, you cry, you're
- 2:11:28better than cats. Of course we are. Where else are
- 2:11:30you going to hear Billy Idol making out with Julie
- 2:11:33Brown? I mean, that's... Barely true. Only here. If you
- 2:11:39got any value out of the show, you get to
- 2:11:40go over to noagendadonations.com. And whatever number hits you, whatever
- 2:11:46number, means something to you. Numerology is a big part
- 2:11:49of this. For some people, five bucks is a lot
- 2:11:51of money. Some people might throw 50. Some might throw
- 2:11:54500 or 5,000. It all depends on how much value
- 2:11:58that you got out of the show. And let's see,
- 2:12:02how many people do we have live here in the
- 2:12:04troll room? Let's see. That is 771 now with a
- 2:12:12peak of 1103. Everybody wanted to hear the podfather. Okay,
- 2:12:17man. Yeah, 1103. Not bad. They always run. Like, right
- 2:12:20when they're like, oh, no, they're going to talk about
- 2:12:21donations, we got to run. The trolls are afraid of
- 2:12:25donations. I don't know why. Trolls, just go to noagendedonations.com.
- 2:12:29You will feel good. You will. And that way you'll
- 2:12:32know. Get your podcasting 2.0 app. We have to acknowledge
- 2:12:35that one of the ways you can show some value
- 2:12:37is by doing artwork for the show. And we were
- 2:12:41totally remiss on the last show to not mention Mike
- 2:12:45Riley's beautiful artwork of the water tower with the Iranian
- 2:12:50lock. It is so beautiful to see Mike Riley back.
- 2:12:53I know, Larry, you didn't follow the art as closely
- 2:12:55as I did, which was, well, way too close. It
- 2:12:57was beautiful, though. I was throwing out so much artwork.
- 2:13:01And Adam had to get me out of the competition
- 2:13:03just so the other artists can come back. and step
- 2:13:07up and Mike Riley, a true artist, he's published books
- 2:13:10of his work. He is a cartoonist who does this
- 2:13:14thing without the AI assistance. Oh, wow. Which makes him
- 2:13:18even more impressive. If you like that and you'd like
- 2:13:22to find out more, just go over to MikeRiley.lol, which
- 2:13:26is a great domain. It is. Now, on the last
- 2:13:30show, we had a few different things to choose from.
- 2:13:34And I'll pull this here up as well. But the
- 2:13:37one we chose came from Parker Pauly, a black knight.
- 2:13:42And it was of the JCD Buzzkill Shaver, Thank you.
- 2:13:49Adam and John taught me always go with the joke.
- 2:13:55And this was the perfect joke. It was. The shaver
- 2:14:00from the story that Adam told that he would turn
- 2:14:03on JCD's microphone. And, you know, he might be eating
- 2:14:06breakfast or he might be shaving. And we're like, what?
- 2:14:10Who's shaving right before the show with an electric razor,
- 2:14:13which now makes you wonder? What's inside that Heil PR-40
- 2:14:18that he was using? There has to be some... Trimmings.
- 2:14:23There's got to be some trimmings in there. There is
- 2:14:27no doubt about it. Oh, I've got thunder going on
- 2:14:30loud. Just a fair warning. Oh, really? Yeah, the area
- 2:14:35here lately, anytime it rains, it seems like the power
- 2:14:39goes out. So hopefully I won't disappear. But there were.
- 2:14:42A plethora of interesting pieces. We liked Tyler Brown's Fauci
- 2:14:47in the orange jumpsuit, but that was too depressing. A
- 2:14:50little bit, but it was good. The one from Comic
- 2:14:54Strip Blogger. which had two men and a woman in
- 2:14:59the middle and said, O'Neal, Blydener, and Curry. We didn't
- 2:15:03know why you made Larry a blonde woman. Because the
- 2:15:05trans Larry. It's got to be it, right? So you
- 2:15:09can get into the WNBA now. Why not? We'll make
- 2:15:13it a threesome. Is there a women's podcasting network? I
- 2:15:17don't know. What are we trying to do? Tyler Brown,
- 2:15:22the Grimm Fauci fairy tale. I thought that was... cute
- 2:15:27but just it didn't have the oomph that the Parker-Hawley
- 2:15:34piece had. Although I did like Nesworks, the Larry and
- 2:15:38Derry, because everybody's going to start... Yes, that was funny.
- 2:15:41And Scaramanga, I mean, you're getting closer with the cheesecake.
- 2:15:47When the thunder is coming through the noise gate, you
- 2:15:50know. You know the weather's fun. So thank you to
- 2:15:55the Parker Polly and everybody who has sent artwork in.
- 2:15:58I see there's already some interesting Mike Riley pieces. Good
- 2:16:01to have him back. Name Kenny Ben was back. Comic
- 2:16:04strip blogger. It's like the old. Art crowd is back.
- 2:16:08Good old days. Yeah. And we very much appreciate that,
- 2:16:13but we also appreciate the people that come in financially,
- 2:16:17and these are real credits. If you come in at
- 2:16:213:33 or over, you are an executive producer 200 or
- 2:16:24over. Associate executive producer they are indeed. real credits that
- 2:16:30you can use on your imdb page and larry's imdb
- 2:16:33page is very interesting as well God, I haven't even
- 2:16:36looked at that in years. I'll have to take a
- 2:16:38peek. You've got to update it. Make sure it's all
- 2:16:40right. I never do that stuff. I just leave it
- 2:16:43to the fates. Yeah, never. Damn, I'm telling you this
- 2:16:48is a, the thunder's going good here, but we have
- 2:16:50a bunch of people to thank today. We do. And
- 2:16:53I'll start off here with our buddy Ron V, 42,
- 2:16:58coming in from Hoffman Estates, Illinois. I met him at
- 2:17:00the only meetup that I've gone to so far. Oh,
- 2:17:03cool. Nice. Sat across from Ron. He's totally not a
- 2:17:06spook or anything like that. Totally not doing government work.
- 2:17:09Okay. Nothing to worry about whatsoever. He says, in the
- 2:17:12morning, everyone at No Agenda, Ron V here, and I
- 2:17:16bet either Darren I don't know where Larry will be
- 2:17:18reading this. Ooh, he's like Carmack, too. Yeah. I just
- 2:17:22want to state that today, Sunday, August 9th, marks my
- 2:17:2540 years. My wife has put up with me. Well,
- 2:17:28congratulations. Congratulations on that, Ron. Wow. His donation is $404.
- 2:17:34Did I say that? Page not found. Page not found.
- 2:17:37That's what I thought. Yeah, good. Because a marriage like
- 2:17:39this can't be located anywhere else in the wild. 40
- 2:17:43years and still not depreciated. knight or dame territory yet,
- 2:17:48but I'm circling the round table. Congratulations. Give us a
- 2:17:51shout out. Tell my bride she married a legend. Please
- 2:17:55hold down the fort and keep no agenda alive. Oh,
- 2:17:59and one more thing. Boobs! Well, Ron is the real
- 2:18:04deal, Mrs. Ron. He is the real deal. You made
- 2:18:07a good choice. 40 years ago. King Grant Judson. A
- 2:18:11hell of an accomplishment there, 40 years. Yeah. Scott Vance,
- 2:18:18Fallbrook, California. The amount is 333. ITM everyone. I was
- 2:18:26hit, hit him, hit in the mouth, I guess. Yes.
- 2:18:30Of course, hit in the mouth. Over a year ago
- 2:18:31by my friend John Buell and have been listening ever
- 2:18:34since. Please de-douche me. JCD's passing hit me harder than
- 2:18:38I expected. Thank you and God bless you all. Thank
- 2:18:42you, Scott. You've been de-douched. 80 Butters coming in with
- 2:18:5130322 from Tiverton, Rhode Island. And says to the Dvorak
- 2:18:57family, Larry, Darren, and Adam, my donation comes with a
- 2:19:02spirit of gratitude and celebration towards the people who impact
- 2:19:06our lives, including all of you. As I write this
- 2:19:10on Bittersweet88, I think about those we lose often leave
- 2:19:15unexpected signs. Antidote time. To honor Mimi, I finally ordered
- 2:19:19my own copy of Too Many Eggs. It's a great
- 2:19:22book, and you can download it. You can order it
- 2:19:24at too-many-eggs.com, I believe. Of course. It was delivered and
- 2:19:30sat outside unprotected during a Noah's Ark level downpour. While
- 2:19:35my husband was at work and I was out of
- 2:19:37state this week, I was convinced I'd come home to
- 2:19:40a waterlogged mess inside the box, but instead the book
- 2:19:43was pristine. Probably dumb luck, but I'd like to believe
- 2:19:48John's spirit helped ensure I could enjoy Mimi's work. August
- 2:19:52is a bittersweet month for me too, although the anniversary
- 2:19:56of my dad's passing comes this Thursday, I also have
- 2:19:59my 10th birthday.
- 2:20:00wedding anniversary with Sir Knives to look forward to on
- 2:20:038-27. Well, congratulations. Congratulations. She says, thanks for putting up
- 2:20:09with me for so long, my love. In our own
- 2:20:12little New England JCD Memorial meetup on the 29th, Larry,
- 2:20:16we would be honored if you would even go over
- 2:20:18the border to little Rhodey for that. Oh, wow. Otherwise,
- 2:20:23we hope to see you soon. weather those we care
- 2:20:27about are still with us or not, we can always
- 2:20:30be thankful for them and celebrate the impact that they've
- 2:20:32had on our lives. For now, I'd just like to
- 2:20:34say thank you for reading my note. Thank you to
- 2:20:36the entire No Agenda community for your courage. With so
- 2:20:41much love to all, Lady Butters. Well, thank you, Lady
- 2:20:44Butters. P.S. Attached is the egg book on proud display
- 2:20:49alongside our obnoxiously large dictionary in honor of my fellow
- 2:20:53word nerd, J.C.D. Oh, and that's where it should be.
- 2:20:57Yeah, and I've got to say, I know I have
- 2:20:58the great honor of knowing Lady Butters and Sir Knives.
- 2:21:01I've met them both and talked with them at length
- 2:21:04at a couple of meetups. And they came all the
- 2:21:06way into Higginham, Connecticut, where they happened from Rhode Island.
- 2:21:11And they are spectacular people. She's a complete, just a
- 2:21:16wonderful woman. And Sir Knives, I think, is a very
- 2:21:19dangerous guy. I get the feeling there's more to him
- 2:21:23than he's telling. He knows a lot of stuff, and
- 2:21:26he's a cool dude. So this is a very cool
- 2:21:29thing. And if I can get over to your neck
- 2:21:31of the woods on the 29th, that would be an
- 2:21:33honor. Thank you, ladybug. Well, yeah, it sounds like you
- 2:21:35don't want Sir Knives mad at you. Never. No. No.
- 2:21:41All right, here we go. Manuka Gold, Hudson, Florida. $250
- 2:21:46from the Manuka Gold family. Enjoying the show. We're glad
- 2:21:50it kept going while Adam is on vacation because it
- 2:21:53would leave a big empty hole in our Thursdays and
- 2:21:56Sundays. Darren and Larry, you're doing a great job. And
- 2:21:59we're so glad we found Planet Rage because of you
- 2:22:02two filling in. That's cool. Thank you. And I'm sure
- 2:22:05there are a lot of new listeners who came over
- 2:22:07from Planet Rage. We wanted to mention that at ManukaGold.com,
- 2:22:11We sell specialty health and well-being products all made from
- 2:22:14Manuka honey that is rare, a rare true miracle of
- 2:22:18nature. And starting now, we're giving away free travel size
- 2:22:22of our best-selling pain relief gel with every purchase over
- 2:22:28$45.
- 2:22:30No agenda listeners can still get the gift and free
- 2:22:33shipping with their 20% off code, so do not hesitate
- 2:22:37to use the code TREASURE at checkout. going to sound
- 2:23:00like you paid advertisement and it's not but it was
- 2:23:03the most powerful tasting honey usually you know you get
- 2:23:07a very just sugar sweet and then a little honey
- 2:23:10taste yes this is totally the opposite it's still sweet
- 2:23:14but the honey punch is like 33 percent more than
- 2:23:18anything i've ever uh oh i i can't wait because
- 2:23:21i'm a honey freak um i always douse my my
- 2:23:25tea with it every morning i don't drink coffee much
- 2:23:27very rarely But, yeah, so, yeah. And they even have
- 2:23:32a little honey thing for dogs. So unless Moose has
- 2:23:35a problem with honey. I mean, the Moose we know
- 2:23:38is already well taken care of. But now he'll be
- 2:23:41like, oh, yes, honey, please. Maybe he'll be nice to
- 2:23:44me for a change. I wouldn't count on it. No.
- 2:23:47Although the honey is nice. And Hasmeticus II from Manassas,
- 2:23:53Virginia, came in with $223. says, rest in peace, John.
- 2:23:59John's passing hit me harder than expected. It felt like
- 2:24:03losing a friend or perhaps an old teacher. You know,
- 2:24:05that's a, uh... That's a good analog there. Because we
- 2:24:10all learned something from John, whether we wanted to or
- 2:24:13not. He will certainly be missed, he says. Adam, thank
- 2:24:17you for all you do. Please stay on the show.
- 2:24:20Great job, Daryl and Harry. Oh, that's a new one.
- 2:24:23Daryl and Harry. Daryl and Harry. I'll take it. Okay.
- 2:24:25I especially enjoyed Larry's disdain for commies. Good to meet
- 2:24:30you, brother. Try John's ghostly donate. Donate. just go ahead
- 2:24:37and type in donate. Well, that's show up here to
- 2:24:40pick up the donations. And technically, this donation makes me
- 2:24:43a knight. Well, congratulations. Congrats. Congrats. If it pleases the
- 2:24:48council, I shall henceforth be known as Sir Hazmaticus, the
- 2:24:53second knight and slave to the Lord Christ and keeper
- 2:24:56of dogs. You can also add far right white
- 2:25:00Christian nationalist. Well, thank you very much. You've got... Karma.
- 2:25:20Very cool. Okay, up next is Eli the Coffee Guy
- 2:25:25from Bensonville, Illinois. He donated $2.08.
- 2:25:34And Eli says,
- 2:26:00of this community. John's legacy lives on, and the torches
- 2:26:04carry forth by Larry and Darren, the boys over at
- 2:26:07the Millennial Media Offensive, Nick the Rat, and many others
- 2:26:10inspired by the No Agenda show. I'll continue to support
- 2:26:14this show. The value it's brought me is immeasurable. For
- 2:26:18producers who want a great cup of coffee, visit gigawattcoffeeroasters.com
- 2:26:24and use code ITM20 for 20% off your order. gigawattcoffeeroasters.com.
- 2:26:32Code ITM20 for 20% off your order. Stay caffeinated, says
- 2:26:37Eli the Coffee Guy. P.S. Happy third birthday to my
- 2:26:41son, Ethan, today. Happy birthday, Ethan. Yeah, definitely. And you
- 2:26:47got to look at the farmer's market schedule at Gigawatt
- 2:26:49Coffee and go meet Eli because he loves coffee so
- 2:26:52much. Even if you don't, it gets contagious. I loved
- 2:26:55watching the people walking by and Eli's like, what do
- 2:26:57you want? Light, medium, or dark? And they're like, what?
- 2:27:00And then all of a sudden they're like, we need
- 2:27:01some of that. Gotta get some. Thank you, Eli. I
- 2:27:05think we missed Ara Dardarian, who came in with $210.60.
- 2:27:11And I had to note, thanks, guys. You are doing
- 2:27:13an excellent job. Well, we appreciate that. And then we
- 2:27:18also had Linda Lupatkin coming in with $200. She's from
- 2:27:21Castle Rock, Colorado. And she says, your resume has about
- 2:27:2610 seconds to make an impression. then
- 2:27:30You know, if it's not good, then you need some
- 2:27:32help. That's for damn sure. Most don't. For a resume
- 2:27:35that gets results, go to ImageMakersInc.com. Linda helps professionals and
- 2:27:40executives position their experience so employers see their value. That's
- 2:27:46ImageMakersInc with a K. And Linda Liu, Duchess of Jobs
- 2:27:51and writer of winning resumes. And I want to know
- 2:27:55how AI. is affecting that at this point? Yeah, that's
- 2:28:00a great question. Yes. Because I hear now it's like
- 2:28:03AI is what's being used. in order to even get
- 2:28:08your resume to people. So I'm sure Linda's on top
- 2:28:10of it. Go to imagemakersinc.com now. Jobs. Jobs. Jo-jo-jo-jobs. I'll
- 2:28:20find the right one eventually, Linda. That was pretty good.
- 2:28:22That wasn't bad. Doug Andrews of Sykesville, Maryland donated $200.
- 2:28:28No note, but thank you very much, Doug Andrews. And
- 2:28:33Eric Malady coming in from Nepin, Ontario, Canada, 14627. And
- 2:28:40says, 8888 for JCD and Mimi's anniversary. 50 for Darren
- 2:28:46and Larry. Plus fees. Well, thank you very much. Appreciate
- 2:28:50the shows and would like no agenda to continue in

- 2:35:58haven't missed a show. I've also made some great friends
- 2:36:01via several No Agenda meetups. When I began listening, John

- 2:38:32though we only ever exchanged a few emails, we all

- 2:38:42He says, okay, so first PayPal is being really strange.
- 2:38:46Doesn't show that I donated. So if they're like seven
- 2:38:49payments of $88.88, John got me good. If there are
- 2:38:54none, then I really do hate PayPal. Well, it looks
- 2:38:57like there was at least one, so maybe it worked

- 2:42:54bless America and boobs. And I took Latin in high
- 2:42:59school for two years. I can't really say more than
- 2:43:02a few words. I can conjugate. Sum est est, sumus
- 2:43:06estesunt. That's like all I can remember. That's very good.
- 2:43:08I'm impressed. From Latin. You could almost be a priest.
- 2:43:11Yeah, except for a few of those other issues. Yeah,
- 2:43:16a few of those. Uh-huh. Christian Bowers, 78.77. Thank you,
- 2:43:22Larry and Darren. Eternally ITM, JCD. Well, thank you, Christian.
- 2:43:27Then Les Tarkowski coming from Kingman, Arizona, right off of
- 2:43:30Route 66 6-0-0-6 donation. Is that a coincidence? I'm thinking
- 2:43:35maybe not. I love that town, Kingman. Been there a

- 2:44:5490 years old, Craig. The Night of Nights. I shit
- 2:44:58you not. I wonder if the memorial was recorded. Pretty
- 2:45:03sure JCD would have wanted to monetize it. I don't
- 2:45:07think so. But, I mean, you can always donate in
- 2:45:11his memory, everybody out there. And just imagine what the
- 2:45:15memorial... And there is going to be a public memorial,
- 2:45:17so maybe that one will... will be live streamed or
- 2:45:21something, I don't know. Craig is a cool guy and
- 2:45:23very handy. He built one of the coolest looking or
- 2:45:26hottest looking pizza ovens I've ever seen. I know he
- 2:45:28has some Canadian name for it, a Cobb oven, whatever.
- 2:45:30It looks like a pizza oven to me, and congratulations.

- 2:51:47the folks that sent in the meetup reports, I'm expecting
- 2:51:51a lot more on Thursday. There were a few that
- 2:51:53were worried about the audio. Never worry about the audio.
- 2:51:56It is about the spirit of the thing. And first
- 2:52:01we have the Kala Pooja brewing in Albany, Oregon. And

- 2:54:09list, the local 512 meetup put together by Sir Scott,
- 2:54:12the Black Viscount of the No Agenda Armory. He said
- 2:54:15there were close to 40 people. He clipped it as
- 2:54:18tight as he could, but it's a bit long. That's
- 2:54:20okay. He says, wish that Adam and Tina were here.
- 2:54:23Please give my love and prayers to the Dvorak family.
- 2:54:27And here's what that one sounds like. This is Viscount
- 2:54:31Scott of the Armory doing our JCD Memorial meetup in

- 2:54:50stay safe and paint your roof blue. In the morning,
- 2:54:53Baroness Salva Austin here. All my financial assets are frozen
- 2:54:57until I can get a Zephyr report. It's Mike from
- 2:55:01the DC Spook, or that's what John C. DeVore called
- 2:55:05me. And I just want to say, we miss John,
- 2:55:08Adam, Mimi, the DeVore clan, where you feel your loss.

- 2:55:46iPhones, John was right about the mouse. Hey, it's Sir
- 2:55:49Brian with an I. Just want to let you know
- 2:55:51that NewsGuard reduced the score of the New York Times
- 2:55:54for their credibility after I told them about John's birthday.

- 2:56:42Long live the buzzkill from Black Game Local. So in
- 2:56:47the morning, Noah and Jenda Nation, we are at the
- 2:56:49meet up for Buzzkill's memorial at Sunset Valley. Even though

- 2:56:59we'll continue to leave his legacy. I'm Priscilla. I'm Vega's

- 2:57:4945 years of KCD was not enough for me. See
- 2:57:52you in the afterlife, KCD. All right, guys. My name
- 2:57:56is Wes. I'm Greg Roski, a bartender at Doc's. I'm
- 2:57:58taking care of the NO Agenda group. Seem like some
- 2:58:00good guys taking care of me. Cool group of people
- 2:58:03to meet, man. Tracy D. Man, I think if we
- 2:58:14ever do a meetup, it should be in Texas. Definitely.
- 2:58:17They've got the spirit. Big time. They're having way too
- 2:58:20much fun. Yeah. I liked a lot of names that
- 2:58:24I recognize in there. Thanks for recording that. Thanks for
- 2:58:27sending that in. And thanks for paying tribute to JCD.
- 2:58:30Up next is the Memphis JCD Tribute Meetup that was
- 2:58:35put together by Commodore Tech Guy Ty. In the morning,
- 2:58:39no agenda nation. This is Commodore Tech Guy Ty at
- 2:58:43High cotton brewing. We're at the Memphis JCD Memorial Meetup.
- 2:58:47In the morning, Sir Nine, forever grateful for the recalibration
- 2:58:51of my BS detector from... John C. Dvorak, memory eternal.
- 2:58:57With deepest sympathies in the morning for miles. Nick here,
- 2:59:01love you guys. I love my truck and I love

- 2:59:23Thank you for all that you've done, JCD. Long live
- 2:59:26JCD. In the morning. In the morning! A lot of
- 2:59:31closure going on all around the world. Definitely. Including up
- 2:59:36next year, we have the Perth No Agenda Producers JCD
- 2:59:39Tribute Meetup. They say our sincere condolences for John's passing.
- 2:59:44Our meetup was a mix of celebrating John's life with
- 2:59:47fond memories and laughs, as well as a somber tribute
- 2:59:50to a man we all respected and admired. Stay strong,
- 2:59:54brother. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves
- 2:59:57those who are crushed in spirit.
- 3:00:00and they included a photo and two of the guys
- 3:00:03wearing the photo of JCD that giving the salute with
- 3:00:10big text on the top that said, it's a scam.
- 3:00:13I love it. No agenda shop. You need to make
- 3:00:15those. Those were cool. Yes. Oh, JC, in the morning,
- 3:00:20we're really going to miss you. You're the uncle that
- 3:00:23I never had. Thank you for the wisdom. Thank you
- 3:00:26for the guidance. Thank you for the many, many stories.
- 3:00:30to miss your brother and to Adam and the family
- 3:00:34all the best and we're all going to support you
- 3:00:37no agenda thrown through take care It's the greatest scam
- 3:00:43in the universe! Dvorak, the world is a worse place
- 3:00:47without you in it. May the slaves aspire to your
- 3:00:50greatness. Come on mate, come back to us John. It's
- 3:00:53all a scam. You were right. In the morning, thanks
- 3:00:56Adam and JCD. In the morning, this is Sir Richard
- 3:01:00Valens down under. Mimi, Adam and family, love is lit.
- 3:01:05This is bullcrap. In the morning, for John C. Dvorak,
- 3:01:11what a legend. cold, wet day in the morning. In
- 3:01:18the morning, very much sad about the times that we're
- 3:01:22in. JCB picked a good time to exit and commissioned
- 3:01:27submissions to Adam and families and Mimi and families and
- 3:01:31yeah, made the show go on in some format in
- 3:01:34the morning. In the morning, Mimi, we're so sorry for
- 3:01:38you and your family and the loss of JCB must
- 3:01:40be so hard for you right now. But Adam, we
- 3:01:43feel for you too. We're here celebrating JCB's life with
- 3:01:47a great group of In The Morning people and we
- 3:01:51love you and In The Morning from Australia. In The
- 3:01:55Morning, this is producer Vangelie. I just want to say
- 3:01:58in memory of John, Captain, my Captain, you've led us
- 3:02:02through different ways of thinking. You've led us through difficult
- 3:02:06times and we have all the fondest of memories and
- 3:02:10this meet-up is in special dedication to everything that you've
- 3:02:14done, We've left the world a much better place. You're
- 3:02:23not wrong about that. Those Aussies, they're cool, man. They
- 3:02:27know how to party, too, just like Texas. They do,
- 3:02:30yeah. Next up, Hamilton, Ontario, the JCD Tribute Meetup. Three
- 3:02:35of us had a small but very enjoyable meetup at
- 3:02:37the Fool and Flagon Pub in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Attaches
- 3:02:43the audio. Big thank you to Sir Dwight the Knight
- 3:02:46for organizing it, and it was sent in by Sir
- 3:02:49Chris. In the morning, this is Sir Dwight the Knight
- 3:02:52at the Hamilton Memorial for JCD meetup. And we all
- 3:02:59miss you, John. Everybody stay strong, and thank you for
- 3:03:02your courage. I'm going to pass the phone around now.
- 3:03:05In the morning, this is Keneil from Hamilton, Ontario meetup
- 3:03:09and I'm gonna miss John and I'm gonna miss his
- 3:03:14humor and wit and yeah, I will remember you as
- 3:03:18long as we listen to this show. And finally, this
- 3:03:22is Sir Chris, also Hamilton, Ontario. Rest in power, JCD.
- 3:03:27Thank you for your courage and just one final question.
- 3:03:29Is this gonna delay the vinegar book? It's being rolled
- 3:03:34into another Dvorak family cookbook, from what I understand. That's
- 3:03:38cool. I didn't know that. If what I heard correctly
- 3:03:40during one of those of the tribute shows, if anybody
- 3:03:44hasn't gotten through the longer of the tribute shows, they
- 3:03:49are well worth it. Just break them up. A lot
- 3:03:51of great stories, a lot of great information. And, yeah,
- 3:03:54the vinegar book was real. It was just, I think,
- 3:03:57it was Mimi that said it was more of a
- 3:03:59pamphlet than a book. I heard that. I remember her
- 3:04:02saying. that yeah i think it makes sense i mean
- 3:04:04it's vinegar go to get too many eggs too many
- 3:04:07eggs.com start there and then move on. The next one
- 3:04:11is Wilmington, Delaware, Remembering JCD Meetup. It says, Hi, Adam.
- 3:04:16This is our meetup report for Remembering JCD from Wilmington,
- 3:04:19Delaware. Thank you for everything you do. You are an
- 3:04:23angel. We're here for the meetup at Delaware Park in
- 3:04:28Wilmington, Delaware. My name's Josh. Checking in. Amy, checking in.
- 3:04:33Sarcastic nomad. Love you, mean it, no homo. Ed from
- 3:04:39downtown, RIP JCD and thanks for a good run to
- 3:04:43Mooncash. Yes. Yeah, definitely a good run. Nobody can argue
- 3:04:49that. Up next, the Sonoma Wino Country Meetup, which I
- 3:04:53like. 10.0, I don't know if that just keeps Windows.
- 3:04:58Windows 10, is that what that's like? Probably, yeah. In
- 3:05:01the morning, Adam, Sir Zolbot made a little hiccup on
- 3:05:05his... Oh, I took care of that. I did the
- 3:05:08editing, so you don't have to. Oh, wow. Let's see.
- 3:05:12Thank you for your courage, Sir Recalcitrant Crazy Steve II.
- 3:05:18In the morning, this is Sir Recalcitrant Crazy Steve II
- 3:05:21here at Sonoma County Meetup 10.0, reminiscent about JCD. This
- 3:05:28is Sir Reesmeister. We love you, John. We all miss
- 3:05:31you. This is a dude named Ben named Ben Duke
- 3:05:35of San Francisco. John, you will be missed. It won't
- 3:05:39be the same without you. And there won't be as
- 3:05:41much laughter on Sundays, that's for sure. Good afternoon. Tim
- 3:05:47Freeman, not a night, not a douche. Placerville, California. RIP,
- 3:05:52John. Sir Zulvat here and we hope that we're right
- 3:05:58back where we started at the meetup. First place we
- 3:06:02ever met up here in Sonoma County. We just hope
- 3:06:08that John C. Dvorak understands how much we loved him.
- 3:06:15Sir Robertson of Two Sticks here. Thanks for the memories,
- 3:06:17John. It was a pleasure to meet you on several
- 3:06:20occasions. Lydia of the Shire here on 888, the perfect
- 3:06:27day to send love and light to JCD. Rest in
- 3:06:33peace, JCD. Very nicely done. Really, yes. Then we have
- 3:06:40the Denver Love It, Love Is Lit JCD Memorial Meetup.
- 3:06:45It says, in the morning, Podfather kind of edited. Sorry
- 3:06:48about the background noise, sir Vito. I need some vino
- 3:06:55to be able to say sir Vito. And never worry
- 3:06:58about the background noise. There's nothing you can do when
- 3:07:00you go into a bar or wherever you're meeting. And
- 3:07:02if there's music, it doesn't matter. Hey, folks. Live out
- 3:07:08here in Denver City Park. Got the love is lit
- 3:07:12for JCD Memorial Meetup. Gonna pass the phone around. This
- 3:07:16is Elise. We're missing the Colorado Care Bear and Jim
- 3:07:21tonight. And we will miss you forever, JCD. This is
- 3:07:26Brian, also known as Sir Soothsayer. John, I'm going to
- 3:07:29miss you. I will for always remember you as the
- 3:07:32guy who always screamed, I get no spam. This is
- 3:07:36Colin. Missing you, John, and Club 33, and your squeaky
- 3:07:40chair in the morning. This is Sir European Stephen, as
- 3:07:45my neighbors call me Stephen. It's actually Stephan. But, yeah.
- 3:07:51ITM. Thank you, John, for your courage. This is very
- 3:07:56gringo. You're an inspiration for anybody who wants to get
- 3:07:59into entertainment. Keep it up. God bless. This is Sir
- 3:08:03Scott pouring one out to John, who kept myself and
- 3:08:06so many others from being a part of the six-week
- 3:08:08cycle. JCD, I love you. You changed my life. Stay
- 3:08:12safe in the next round. And yeah, he was an
- 3:08:15entertainer. Above and beyond comedic timing, had the wit. I
- 3:08:21would have gone to see J.C.D. do stand-up. That would
- 3:08:23have been... That would have been trippy. Very different style.
- 3:08:27Or you think it would be like Bobby Slayton, you
- 3:08:30know, just do the... No, I'm thinking him like Stephen
- 3:08:33Wright. More like that. Yeah, mixed with Miller maybe, you
- 3:08:35know? Yeah. Up next, the Snohomish Washington JCD Memorial Meetup.
- 3:08:44This tried to take out the silence. Oh, it's a
- 3:08:47little orgy. Thank you. No worry. Everybody's worried about the
- 3:08:50silence or the background noise. We just want to hear
- 3:08:53what was going on and how much fun you were
- 3:08:56having reminiscing about the late, great JCD. In the morning,
- 3:09:01this is Warrior News. Reaching out from the Snohomish medium
- 3:09:04that our wonderful Dame hosted, which is awesome. Thank you
- 3:09:06so much. And I'll pass the phone down. John, thanks
- 3:09:09for a lot of great years. I wasn't around for
- 3:09:10a lot of them, but the few of them that
- 3:09:11I was around for were definitely great. Adam, keep going.
- 3:09:14We appreciate you, man. And just Adam, Philippians 3.13. That's
- 3:09:19Philippians 3.13. And for John, some of the clips I'm
- 3:09:25going to remember are when he's really stoned. Hey, man.
- 3:09:31And also when he went to Mark Levin. And either
- 3:09:35way, cheers. Appreciate it. All right. ITM, everybody. Miss you,
- 3:09:39John. This is Joe in Snohomish. Thanks. Sir Benrose here.
- 3:09:43They finally got me out of the house. Whoa, whoa,
- 3:09:47whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa, Benrose left the house? Can you
- 3:09:50imagine that? You've got to play this again. I've got
- 3:09:53to back this up. I did not know you had
- 3:09:56a Sir Benrose sighting at this meetup. Wow. And he
- 3:09:59was.
- 3:10:00very much like JCD's illegitimate child. I'm telling you. He
- 3:10:05was very much like JCD in a lot of ways.
- 3:10:09Sir Bemrose here. They finally got me out of the
- 3:10:11house. So this is me podcasting into some dude's phone.
- 3:10:15ITM. Teresa from St. Homish. We'll miss you, John. Good
- 3:10:18luck and Godspeed, JCD. Raise a glass of Kirkland Bordeaux
- 3:10:21when you get there for all of us. Sir Jack
- 3:10:23Ash here. Narcissist Sasquatch. Just remembering JCD on 8-8-20. Appreciate
- 3:10:31you. Appreciate everything you did. And yeah, Godspeed. This is
- 3:10:37Savannah Hernandez wrapping up the meetup. And we appreciate everything
- 3:10:42you guys do. And we're happy to meet everybody here
- 3:10:45in St. Thomas. Yeah, that sounds like a good time.
- 3:10:47It certainly does. And last but certainly not least on
- 3:10:52the meetups for this show, Central Jersey meetup on 8-8-2026.
- 3:10:57ITM with a U. We had another great meetup honoring
- 3:11:01JCD. The amazing thing is how everyone is so impacted
- 3:11:05by this loss. Darren and Larry are doing a great
- 3:11:08job. Well, thank you. Thank you. John can never be
- 3:11:12replaced. We agree. It was great hearing Adam's voice on
- 3:11:15Thursday's show. Thank you for your courage. Still devastated. Sir
- 3:11:21R. Daniels Viscount slash Commodore. This is Sir R. Daniels
- 3:11:29with pronouns Viscount and Commodore coming at you from the
- 3:11:323BR Distillery in Keyport, New Jersey, where we are certainly
- 3:11:36in the morning with a U. This is Dave, RIP
- 3:11:41to the best part of twit. Thank you for giving
- 3:11:44us the courage to think. This is Bart, RIP JCD,
- 3:11:50and this is from New Jersey where we've had rigged
- 3:11:53elections for decades. This is Brian. John, we'll miss you,
- 3:11:58buddy. This is Jay. Missing John C. Dworak already in
- 3:12:06the morning. This is MKUltramark checking in from the Central
- 3:12:12New Jersey meetup and we are morning in the morning.
- 3:12:19This is Sir Nobody. Warning John and still confused that
- 3:12:23people have showed up at my bar to drink with
- 3:12:24me. In the morning, this is Dame She Fine. We're
- 3:12:29hydrating at 3BR and just remembering John and I'll never
- 3:12:33be able to do a Fistnuts again without thinking of
- 3:12:36John C. Hi, this is Alex. Thank you all for
- 3:12:42coming to my distillery. Hey, this is Sir Voip of
- 3:12:47the Jersey Shore. I lost two great voices in my
- 3:12:50life this year. John Sterling of the New York Yankees
- 3:12:53and now JCD. What an amazing bunch of meetup reports.
- 3:13:04Really? We know we'll have a bunch of them on
- 3:13:07the next show because there were a lot of the
- 3:13:108-8 meetup reports. I mean, hey, if you can edit
- 3:13:12them, that's great, but... We're not judging you based upon
- 3:13:18sound quality here. No. And it's just beautiful to hear
- 3:13:22everybody remembering John. I mean, I don't know. It's always
- 3:13:26interesting when somebody like John passes, if he realized the
- 3:13:31impact that he had on people. Yeah. And he doesn't
- 3:13:36seem like he had a big ego or anything. No.
- 3:13:38I think he knew. Not at all. No. I think
- 3:13:40he might even be a little surprised by the massive
- 3:13:44amount of outpouring because he was everybody's, you know, uncle
- 3:13:49or father figure or somebody. It's like, I'd go to
- 3:13:52JCD for advice. Sure. And, of course, he always ripped
- 3:13:56my artwork on the show. And then in the emails,
- 3:14:01he was always so complimentary. I mean, although Adam was
- 3:14:05dissing me at the time you and I start doing
- 3:14:07shows, you're like, why is Adam mad at you? It's
- 3:14:09like, it's a bit. I know. It's funny, though. I
- 3:14:12bumped the microphone. I didn't mean to do that. You're
- 3:14:15copying me. It's the spirit of JCD. There are a
- 3:14:19bunch of meetups upcoming, including a bunch today. Let's see.
- 3:14:25In the morning, Virginia, and thank you for your courage.

- 3:14:53the What Would JCD Do? That's kind of cool. Today
