- 0:20[SPEAKER_04]: I think, yeah, there's that little red light.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_04]: We are live.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_04]: This is three years per car.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_04]: I'm afraid of IT Aga, so I'm a client who is here.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_04]: Chris Kaufman is here looking
- 0:34[SPEAKER_04]: certainly feel nailed to it across don't we all man don't we all don't we all when you you when you lose to a kickoff return and a series of or a bevy what we oh was that a bevy it was that a buffet Simon of pre-snap
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: What's the group of flamingo is cool dude?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's gonna be a fun act.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: A flock of flock.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: No, there's a flock of fun boy in it.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that was a fun boy in it.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_03]: That was a fun boy in it.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_03]: That was absolutely a fun boy in it.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, it's time to remind everybody that we are brought to you by the most appropriate of all sponsors.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_04]: 3,500 pain.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_04]: Just like the Dolphins?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: This one, Chris.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_04]: They give us a lot of pain.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_04]: You need to be ready, too.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_04]: After an accident call your first, your first move should be to call 305-800-pain better business bureau accredited with an A plus rating.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_04]: Your car accident, personal injury specialists, past connections with trusted doctors and attorneys, always ready to take your call 24-7 again.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_04]: That's 305-800-pain.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_04]: 305, 800 playing, please don't call them and say that there was too many pre-staff penalties on Sunday.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think that they handle that.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_04]: We handle that.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_04]: However, Simon, I was talking to your co-host Chris Kaufman here before you joined us in the backstage area.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_04]: And I was telling him that good news is on the way, because my weekend,
- 2:21[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, be not ridiculous.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe not.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe not.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it is.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Darren Waller might not play this this Thursday.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_04]: Wow.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_04]: He might not play, which is shocking news.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_04]: That's shocking, you know.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_04]: But Mike McDaniel announced to the world, or at least the football
- 2:51[SPEAKER_04]: They got together with the coaches and they fixed it and he will have a fixed in effect for Thursday night.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_04]: Are you excited Simon?
- 3:00[SPEAKER_05]: Oh shit.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited about what the fact that he claims that he fixed procedure issues, I mean, that's just not a thing.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's been four years and it's happened every single game.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad that yeah, I'm glad that we two of the the fourth year they decided to fix it and instead of after, you know, the playoff game, the playoff game and 2022 remember how the playoff game ended.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_03]: In 22 with Skyler Thompson and the shameful way, we actually had a chance to win that game in Buffalo, right?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_03]: And the shameful way that that ended, it was, it was very strikingly similar.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: Did you have a chance to win that game?
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: Leave with nine minutes left to the fourth floor.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: And then like the final drive at the end, we just had all the procedure role, all those penalties, and you know, play can get off, play can, you know,
- 3:54[SPEAKER_03]: And I guess you could blame that on Skyler Thompson, but it was the same thing and if they didn't fix it then during a playoff game after a playoff game ended that way.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_03]: And they're waiting until 2025.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think the problem in Buffalo is that Mike had all that bake smoke in his mouth, but it didn't get close off that quickly.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think that was the...
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think that, so the fifth last play was the one that got called as a time out, because the injury that they broke the huddle was seven seconds left, broke the huddle with seven seconds left, they got away with one.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: Then there was a false start anyway, then they got the ball off with two seconds of stare.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: And the first up, anyway, to a motion that he watched it from Z into the formation with two seconds left, that was going to work.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: There's a false stop, anyway.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: Then the snap, the third last play, there was a, that was with two seconds left.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: The penalty at play were to it, and it explained where you ran out of bounds, even though you had a kind of wide open right in front of them.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: That also was with two seconds ago, and then the final play actually happened with zeroes in the clock and the play clock were in the ballbox snap, so I do recall.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, I mean kind of stunning really.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_04]: That's it's it's incredible and you could go back to a bunch of games.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_04]: I go back to that game Because people remember it differently people remember it's just a cleanly, you know, thought game on both sides I'm kind of about the snow game in 22 in Buffalo Where they lose to on and on on on on a walk off fio go after a passengerference call on cater cohu By the way, that was passed inference People forget the Final dolphin drive
- 5:49[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, which was to open up an 8.0 lead before
- 5:56[SPEAKER_04]: Josh Allen drove the length of the field got to touch down and then got the two point conversion people forget dolphins are up five and it's third and one They took a procedural penalty to make it third and six in a game where they ran for 186 yards That's what I'll now learn it like and now it's 36 and now it's 36 and What is the next play to a throws it to Durham's smile he gets stopped for a three yard gain?
- 6:23[SPEAKER_04]: They kicked the field goal they go up eight
- 6:26[SPEAKER_04]: They extend that drive that gets touched on the probably one.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_04]: So it's, it's all the hidden penalties, the little mistakes, a game here, a game there.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's for you.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's for you.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_03]: It's four years of this.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's for this is year four and we have been complaining about it since you won.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_03]: right.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm not just us.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's we're not special.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_03]: Um, everybody's been complaining about it since year one.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_03]: And, and, and, and four years, you know, four years in and now you've fixed it.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_03]: Now you supposedly have fixed it.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, of course, another question because I've just I'm just going to kill a spider in and in the other room because my business is breaking out.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: Just talk about yourselves.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: I've covered that.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_04]: They used to be my job.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, get a bat for or something.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, if you want to become a member of our discord and you want to interact with us more, you could go right there right in my name and says discord.tg4 slash only fins.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_04]: That's where you can join us.

- 7:34[SPEAKER_04]: If you want to buy our gear, like this beautiful hat that I have here, you see this?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_04]: It's wonderful hat.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_04]: you can get that on our on our site and the great thing about this hat is that it doubles as a UM hat.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_04]: So you don't have to wear the shame of the Miami Dolphins on your head.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: Killer returns.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_03]: It took care of that quickly.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_04]: You know what you got to do now, Simon?
- 8:03[SPEAKER_04]: He did.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_04]: You got to get that spider.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_04]: You got to get the cadaver, the corpse of that spider, and just leave it in the middle of the living room with a sign right next to it.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_04]: That says, this is what happens to you.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_04]: And all his friends will not come around.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, that's a good plan.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a great idea when he goes into the office.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, Simon, I was up when you went away.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_04]: I did an ad for our store.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_04]: You could get this hat and I was telling people, you don't have to wear the shame of the Miami Dolphins I didn't have.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_04]: Like you could say that this is a hurricane's hat.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I want to break the monotony of this because we're going to be able to talk about this in the second half of the show for 15 minutes.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, right.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I wanted to ask you, Simon.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_04]: And I know that Chris saw the hurricanes on Saturday.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_04]: Carson Beck, is that going to be a thing in a couple of weeks here?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I mean, it should be a thing.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, bigger challenges like I had Florida, it said it's a Florida state.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that was the interesting thing.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think the thing about Beck is that we talk about.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: He 18 months ago, this was the guy that we were talking about has been the first overall pick in the draft.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: And he's clearly got some conference back, getting out of Georgia and those sorts of things.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: And the issue to me is whether or not he can be consistent when things get a little bit complicated.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: kind of the same guy I was for two years ago in Georgia and the deep balls are great and he's got that moccie and you know everything is great when he has time in the pocket but the pressure is a bit you know the decision making under pressure is the thing that concerns me a little bit so and we'll see that you know and all these core max that we're talking about with
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: there are significant question marks as we move ahead and it's an important time for a few dog and fans.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's important time for you to ask to be watching these guys and we were doing some stuff on the discord statement of work at who we thought would come out and who we thought probably wouldn't come out because of their age and those sorts of things and next obviously a richer seniority will come out and I think if you continue that kind of the the upwards.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: move that he's making around that with those great group of receivers that he's going to be fully in the mix.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, there's bigger challenges ahead for him in the world on Saturday and we'll see how he goes.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm sure somebody had a great quote starting to up to Chris, I'll get you in here in a second.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_04]: He had a great quote and he said earlier in the season, they asked him, you know, what's going to be the identity of your team?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_04]: And he said last year, our star was Cam Ward.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_04]: This year, our star is our offensive line.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_03]: And that is that is exactly right.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the first thing he noticed, he got those eggs weapons and bite and messes it all in us.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, the defense of the defense was not in that game against South Florida.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_03]: Not that South Florida's offense is any good.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_03]: I, you know, people got way ahead of themselves would buy and buy room brown.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: I thought, you know, I've watched them obviously for years.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_03]: But I think that Carson Beck is going to really impress the coaching staffs.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: of various teams.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: And it's going to be one of those classic battles.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be the potential versus, you know, versus mastery of an offense.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_03]: And he had full mastery of that offense.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_03]: He could orchestrate everything as, as they're trying to attack, you know, South Florida.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_03]: And he had the offensive line to make sure that they could do that.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: And so, um, so I think that's going to be that, that classic thing where he's also got kind of a heroes, a potential heroes
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: So if he knocks out of the park this year, then he's Matt Ryan, you know, and if he's, and if he doesn't, then, you know, we're talking about.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_03]: kind of him and similar terms to how we were talking before this year.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that, you know, it really is going to depend on how he finishes that schedule, but yeah, I mean, if he, if he does really well with this schedule, then they will be talking about him like another map right and almost.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_03]: And so, because that's how we looked.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_03]: That's how we looked.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: Fun stat.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_04]: Fun stat.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_04]: Fun stat for Carson Beck.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_04]: If you get drafted in the first round in the NFL, and let's say he gets drafted by Miami in the first round.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_04]: Or even Miami in the second round.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_04]: He will not be able to afford the house that he is currently living in Miami.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_03]: And that's, you know, that's so important when we're getting that question, we've got to get to the dolphins, but when we get to that question about like which quarterbacks coming out, this is not.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_03]: This is not the same environment anymore.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_03]: Premium players in college football are getting a lot of money and they have every reason to stay where they know they can get that money.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: And as opposed to testing out on certain waters in the NFL and quarterbacks are just de facto premium players, right?
- 13:03[SPEAKER_03]: So they're collecting money.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_03]: So the quarterback position in particular is going to be subject to this.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_03]: they've been complaining for a while that these quarterbacks are not coming out with experience.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_03]: But that's not going to be an issue anymore.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: They're staying in college.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to get experience, right?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that you're looking at all these guys and we talked about with John Matier, Fernando Mendoza, like, are they really going to be one and done at their new transfer school?
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like, there's going to be a lot of pressure for them to stay a second here and happen with
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: Or to go somewhere out, if your windows are in the end there, and there's a, you know, sure, I'm really looking for a call back and ask you Penn State's gonna do not rain it's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Dante Moore, you know, I don't, there's a, you know, more impressive looking young caught that.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: And Dante, it's a true genius.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: Why would he come out?
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that night, when he or again, you know, playing about system with those players, Sam Leather, Arizona State, exactly what he's saying, you know, Eli Holstein at Pittsburgh, the money is just there for them to stay, 18 cars at Michigan State, just to stay and play.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: Tyson said Alibara, it's the, you know, that's what the, that's the Monday landscape of course,
- 14:34[SPEAKER_03]: they will, they will come out when they're not allowed anymore.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, to collect that money.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_04]: Great.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_04]: Very quickly before we go to break.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_04]: Simon, give me your hierarchy right now for college quarterbacks that you think are coming out.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_04]: Just give me a top two or three.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, the obvious one.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the obvious ones are the ones who have run out
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: and the stability, so tailing green obviously at Arkansas as a red shirt senior, big long 6, 6, 2, 24, each up the ground as a runner, big arm Chris loves him, Chris got on to him 18 months ago as he always does historically as well with with with Josh and with with Pat my homes and these guys.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: explosive kind of jewel threat guy.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's got to come out.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: Back has got to come out.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's a he's a senior.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: Got a nice nice got to come out.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's a red shirt senior drew out.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's got to come out.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's a senior.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so these are the guys that Jane and Daniels has got to come out.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: He's a six year senior, I think.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Club Nick, I think he's a fifth year senior.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: So he's going to come out as well.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: So Robert's like, I think he's a red shirt senior.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: He might be a sixth year senior.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: So he's come out as well.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a there's a whole bunch of guys that are definitely coming out.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: But like like we said, I think everybody's talking about, you know, this this class could be amazing.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's class to be amazing.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think you've got a joy agalars and other one from Tennessee.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: He's a fifth year senior, but a lot of the names that are being banded around as the first overall pick and you talk about the Mendoza's and the mannings and I asked us not a great start for the season.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: The Matiers, the sellers, I think just not gonna come out because the cash and the lack of experience, you know, the Norris sellers, like we said, is 20 years old.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: For an Mendoza's 20 years old, it's like, this is the 21 years old, this is, it's just not the right time for them to come to the end.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: That if they do, they get an seriously badly advice,
- 16:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I think that the two funnest players to watch among them are the guys I talk about all the time in tail and green and jail and hangs, but Garrett Newsmart is going to be up there and Carson Beck is probably going to be up there and drew RLR is going to be up there, you know, so we're we're going to be looking at I don't know what to make of Kate club Nick and you know, and how things are going and.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: You know, so, so we'll see, but I think that those are the kind of guys that you're looking at, I just know that the fun guys, the fun bunch, the guys to look at, while they're playing.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_03]: John Meteer is real fun to watch, but you know, Willie will come out.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that tail and green and, you know, jail and Daniels just because he's fun to watch and I like him doesn't mean I think that he's going to be a really high draft pick.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_03]: or really high first rounder, because there's a significant injury history to deal with and in addition to being kind of small.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, six foot or five foot 11 or whatever he is.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and that's that's significant.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_03]: There's sometimes there's no overcoming that.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and so, so I think tail and green is probably the one guy that I would say is coming out that just kind of hits almost everything.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and that that includes playing for Bobby Petrino in an offense, you know, a second year now who is the offensive coordinator there and, you know, kind of you like to see progress with these guys.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_03]: They got to get better every year, right?
- 18:01[SPEAKER_03]: And he is a guy that is chipping away at his progress at becoming a better and better pastor.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_03]: The thing his issue is just that he has to keep speeding up his process.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_03]: And he continues to do that every year.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: So that's probably the one that I'm keeping an eye on the most.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: At this point, even though I can watch jail and Daniels all day long, but that doesn't mean he's gonna be top five.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: The other thing for Miami looked is, and there's also a reason I'm talking about it because we all feel like the end is now, and that's the direction we have to move in.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_02]: But there is also a point about it, to it isn't going anywhere unless he retires, or unless an UGM comes here and just says, you know, I'm a swallow that monster dead cap and we're just going to be essentially a JB team for 18 months, which could be an option, absolutely could be an option.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think you have to be convicted about a guy.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: Kyle, perhaps made the point in our discord today, and he's right, a hundred percent right, as always, you've got to have conviction about somebody.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: You can't go into a process and just think, you know, I was looking at Durala last night, you know, there was some frozen emails where you just like, wow, that's legit.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: And there's other versions just like, I just can't get, but I just can't count them.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, I can't, I can't.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the sellers, I've done seven little or sellers games through this year, the week ends on five last year, but I think they have to pass the smile test.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: If you smile and provoked, but I do not.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: See, you can smile, I've provoked that Lenores' unbelievable athletic gifts, which are truly sensation of the way he avoids tackles the way he breaks out.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's the speed he has to pick up yards down the field is incredible.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: The passing, I mean, it's, you know, this is a pure RPR, I've seen him once on the center in seven games, like pure RPR, in Man on the Line reading.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: Um, half-field reads, I don't know, very much first read lock and load, but he's high all the time, he's accuracy's all over the place, you don't see a lot of NFL froze.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think you've just got to have conviction on the guy, because look, this clearly a team that's going to have a massive rebuild, it just is.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_02]: And if you're not convicted on a guy, there are lots of players in this draft.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's, you know, the lone who kids at Utah, if you want to tackle you, the Caden plot to kid Alabama, you think, I want to write tackle because we need to get us to Jackson out, you know, that there's this kid at all, that Xavier Chaplin, the tackle I got.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's unbelievable.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: But there was some great tackle, so the kid, your kid, my, I mean, my argument, that he's the right tackle, you know.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: The defensive tackle is when you look at Pete P. Awards, for example, it is just too good to pass up the ends.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: We've talked about room and bay, but you've got the Celtic Folk kid at Auburn, who's unbelievable.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: You've got T.J.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: Parker at Clemset, you've got Dane, Denise Sutton, at Penn State, the Lionbackary Group is sensational.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: And then you look at the corners, you know, McCoy at Tennessee, Maxwell Delaney has been unbelievable in three games for LSUE.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: And then
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: in the whole thing.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: And you just think, well, maybe, you know, and I've advocated against this, putting off the decision amount for that.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_02]: But if we are in such a massive rebuild, then just pick good players.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to be in the top three, top five, and there's something drastic happen.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: So just, you know, load up on really good players and continue to build the roster and then bring in a, you know, bring in the right core of that rather than just wasting a first round pick on somebody, you're not convicted of.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_04]: All right, we're going to go to break and when we come back, we will talk about this game, the rest of this game.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_04]: But first, let me tell you about underdog fantasy, football is back, and underdog is the best place to make picks and win money all season long.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_04]: Playing on underdog is easy, just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like touchdowns, receiving yards and exceptions and more.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_04]: Get your picks right and you can win up to 5,000 times your cash, you can play with as little as one dollar.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I, I, I looked at this tonight and it's funny that Simon says, you know, have some conviction.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_04]: I don't have too much conviction, but I think I shouldn't janties going to score.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_04]: So give me an ashton jantie score.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_04]: All right, and how about lad Maconkey under 77 and a half yards?
- 22:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think that the charges want to be balanced.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_04]: They want to run the football, they want to play a little bit more on schedule.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_04]: They're not a really desperate team.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_04]: If you watch them play, they're a team that knows how to breathe in games.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_04]: So those are my two picks for tonight.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_04]: Download the app today and sign up with the promo code three yards to score $50 in bonus funds when you play your first $5.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_04]: That's promo code three yards, the number three yards.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_04]: Moons of fans have already won billions of making picks on underdog.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_04]: Will you be next?
- 23:10[SPEAKER_04]: Underdog.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_04]: Make picks win money.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's be 18 plus.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: 19 plus in Alabama in Nebraska.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: 19 plus in Colorado for some games, Toronto and plus in Arizona, Massachusetts and Virginia, and present in a state where

- 23:50[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_04]: Let's talk about this game.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_04]: Let's start with the with the start.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_04]: Zombified is how I put it today on our discord.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_04]: They come out and it's right down the field.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_04]: And you could just see it's I'm looking at it.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_04]: Like this is worse than the colds game.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_04]: Like this is actually worse than the colds game.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_04]: The offense can get out of its own way.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_04]: The all 22 looks like it's complete mince communication here.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_04]: They're on that.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_04]: On that
- 24:17[SPEAKER_04]: But there they are in another zombified start.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_04]: And you can lay the entire game at the feet of that start because if they don't start off like that, they're probably ahead in the game and they hold on.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_04]: And they win the game at the end, but Jesus, this team just wasn't ready to play.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_04]: And if that's not on the coaches, I don't know what it's.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_04]: Now these guys are professionals.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_04]: So it's just that in a reason they could get themselves up to play a game, especially their home opener, but what do you make of that start?
- 24:47[SPEAKER_04]: Because that was shocking.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_04]: I just stared at the screen like a mental patient.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_04]: I was just like, I couldn't believe what I was watching.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, are we going to get boat race by these clowns at home too?
- 25:00[SPEAKER_04]: Thank God they turned it around in the second quarter.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_04]: And almost took the lead at half time.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_04]: because I was embarrassed just to be watching the game, let alone being associated with it.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_04]: And the fans in my opinion, had the right idea.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like, they're ready to revolt in that first quarter.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, okay, that's great.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_04]: They should have.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_04]: That was an absolute joke.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_04]: The start of that game.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_04]: I guess we could start right there.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_04]: Simon has we move on toward the later outrageous, which I'm coming.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's not a great start when I'm talking about the whole package in many regards.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just the whole thing to me, the whole thing was worse in many regards.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: And the first week, and I thought the first week was shameful, and I just didn't think it
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: who did well.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, I think it was very good when they just marched right down the field, play action, moving me out, you know, a little bit the wrong game, just smashing us in the mouth.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_02]: I was pretty honest for the, you know, early on and just, just seeing some of the same
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: Jack Jones just crashes down to the line instead of maintaining his integrity on the outside when they rolls out and you know, you could throw it to two people who could run it himself and he just thought, yeah, I mean, if this is a team that's now, you know, fixed it's issues with the players only being and it's come to play.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: That first drive and the first offensive drive just go three and out, my boot off the field was just, you know, yeah.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: And it, it just looked so poor and you know, there was a peak and a, you know, Chris and I were chatting on Discord and I said at what some point that, you know, we were gonna win this game.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: And it felt like we'd got the rest of the momentum back and then we'd just never, we never do it on a Chris, did we?
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: down the stretch was just the ugliest, most just embarrassing, and then what was almost as bad was the post-game stuff at the podium when you've got kind of almost like the players accusing the coaches, the coaches sort of thinly veiling the facts at the players.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: And if you're winning and there's some shit going on off the field that isn't very good, you're still winning
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: and there's clearly some pretty significant issues because we've got to play as only me in week one.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: Then there's all the procedural staff for communication staff that we talked about earlier on in tells you know that the phone start penalty is the time out.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: We call it time out with 14 and one to go in the third quarter.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: And what's out of that?
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like we're not going to need that at times, okay?
- 27:47[SPEAKER_04]: And it's key something that you said Simon at the start of your salivately.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_04]: which was there was a point in that game where the Patriots were like oh okay you got us go ahead and just beat us by 10 points and yeah well we're currently getting on my on our plane and go back to New England and go back to Boston one of the league score and I was just going to pull a lie and right in school a couple more touchdowns and
- 28:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've just, it looked like a race.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_03]: It looked like a race to the bottom.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: It just gets harder and harder to to try and piece together what's happening.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's got to be, like a what point of Steve Ross just say, there's a plane flying around beforehand saying fire, gray, and fire, and then you'll
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: But what point is you look down and see all the things that happen it, you know, just seeing chatting crowded, just talk about how, you know, two as regression is a normal, I see can't come off a first read.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: What I thought was really interesting is they were at the end of the giant cowboys game was trying to get the brand of Norbury's field or range.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: I try to get to their own Thursday, might be a hard line, but Zack sets up the game.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: Zack sets up the game whenever I buy that that scramble and there were two or three times yesterday down the stretch in the full and the more or two I have the chance to pick up yardage with his legs and just couldn't do it.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: And I get it.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: I do get it.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: It must play in his, you know,
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: And we don't know it half the stuff that's happened off the field in terms of the relationships with his families and his family and agents and Nick Hicks and all these different people trainers, medical people, you know, it must have been extremely difficult and it must be difficult, but he becomes even more boxed into what he, excuse me, to what he is, and I just thought just the whole thing was just,
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's just so bad missing open receivers, but the interception to Martin Mappo, like, where's he throwing that?
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a just
- 29:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, a god bless Julian Hill.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_04]: He had his hands up like, yeah, I'm open.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_04]: If you give it to me, I'll run a guy over.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that was down play when he runs out of bounds on the pelter.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the game.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: He's got Tana Connor.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: Why do I open in the middle of the field?
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I can find you.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: I was in front of him.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: He can't not see him.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: And he's a lefty.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: And it's literally.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: We're not talking about Cam Moore.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going back 45 yards against his against the grain to hit Elychemony.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: Or it's literally Conner's there in front of him.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: And he just has to
- 30:14[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he's that guy.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he's going to be that guy and I think you know most of the most of the league are really not that guy.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: You know when you're looking at guys once they once they talk the ball and you know the defender starts reading that and they immediately especially when it's to a feed talks the ball.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: Defenders are going to disengage.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_03]: Defenders are going to disengage.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_03]: They're not going to stay plastered on the receivers.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_03]: They give the slightest indication that to a is going to tuck the ball and just go out of bounds or something like that.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_03]: Then, you know, then I think that they're not worried about him making a ridiculous play like a, you know, don't he's not going to stop on a dime, you know, reset his feet.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_03]: and throw something really against the grain that most of the coaches to be fair would be like, you know, don't do that.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_03]: Don't throw it over the middle like that, especially when you've got pursuit angles, you know, it's almost like playing Frogger with the ball at that point.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that's not going to happen.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_03]: Defenders are open season on him right now.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of, there's a lot of damned if you do damned if you don't in his game right now.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: because he's been explicitly told by the coach and the general manager, you must not take those risks.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: You must not take those risks.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: You're being selfish if you take those risks.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: You're letting your team down if you take those risks.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's gotten into his head.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_03]: How could it not?
- 31:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that also there's the potential that he is in some way diminished as a player and whether that's a combination of mental because of worrying about the concussions or maybe he didn't have the preparation this offseason that he wanted because of the way last year.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: ended and the fact that he needed to get away just on a human level and he I think he even said that like he needed to go and joy himself he's partying on a boat and stuff like that you know and I didn't know that people got to live their lives but this offseason didn't strike me as the type of offseason that two had generally had and and as previous off seasons.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_03]: And part of that was because of the way you last year ended, he did need to get away.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't need to go enjoy his life and joyous kids, enjoy his family, things like that.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_03]: And so, you know, whatever the reason is, I don't see the solution either.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the real problem because he's not going to get less of a concussion risk.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_03]: He's not going to physically, you know, he's not going to get hardware out of his ankles and his hip, all of a sudden.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_03]: Um, it's, it's a real, it's a real tough one.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: That's why we're talking about these quarterbacks ultimately now it's for the game itself.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_03]: I still focus on the defense a lot because I think the defense while the offense clearly got it going in the game.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_03]: right like they started out kind of shamefully, but they got it going.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_03]: They scored Simon your new and I are talking, they're going to win this game now.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_03]: Because it seemed like the offense had got going again, right?
- 33:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like here here we go, they're going to they're going to do it, but the defense doesn't allow them to win right now.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that you know mapping this out,
- 33:36[SPEAKER_03]: defensively even though it was bad.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: They've had 14 real drives and so far this year and they've allowed scores on 12 of them.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_03]: Two of them, the two punts that happened one of them happened because of a bad snap.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: Right, the Patriots lost 13 yards on a bad step and resulted in like what a third and 26 or something like that.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's an unwindable down.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_03]: And so, you know, that's one of the, the, the, the stops that they managed to get one of the two on the season that they managed to get, but it could have been worse because the Patriots were trying out a lot of heavier personnel against the dolphins.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_03]: They went with, they went with heavy-year personnel, whether it's 12 or 21 or 22 personnel, and they tried out especially a lot of 21 personnel with two half-backs with both Travea and Henderson and Romander Stephenson.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_03]: They tried it out more than half the time, which is an unusual thing in this league.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_03]: And unusual when you think about the Dolphins weakness, which is a secondary.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like the secondary, if anything, you want the dolphins to have to pull more secondary players on the field and and challenge them and sure enough when they put when they went 11 when the Patriots actually did all 11 personnel, they had an 85% success rate on past plays out of 11 personnel.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_03]: which is just awful.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just like, and it just a reminder that even though the defense, like, you know, there were times when they stiffened up a little bit, like, you know, I give them, I give them some credit for that feel goal that they kept the the Patriots to.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_03]: at the end, even though, you know, the Patriots got the ball in scoring position, right?
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: They did get a stop there.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_03]: It gave the Dolphins offense a chance to have a final drive, to have a game winning touchdown, final drive.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_03]: Give them some credit on that, but it could have been a lot worse.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: the what the defense gave up in that game.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_03]: And the Patriots shot themselves in the foot a lot with their own penalties and trying out the heavier personnel against the really the strength of the Dolphins team is that front step or defense is that front seven.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_03]: The weakness is that
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: end in a dime and get those extra DBs on the field and then and then take advantage of the holes in the coverage.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_03]: Patriots didn't really do that and I worry that, you know, this defensive situation is not getting better yet and we're probably going to see that especially against the
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: take advantage of your leaky defense than Josh Allen and the bill's office.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: So that's what that's what I walk away with.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: This reminds me so much of 2019.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: of as far as defensively goes.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody questions the Bryan Flores has had defense of chops, right?
- 36:34[SPEAKER_03]: But we had to be quiet now, but we had to be questioning it then when you're allowing 40 points here, 50 points there, you know, the defense couldn't stop anybody, but it was it was like installing a new defense with bad personnel.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_03]: And we know it was bad personnel because of the tank season and all of that.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_03]: There was that, remember that Pittsburgh game we did a cover, we did a blitz zero
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: and we called it the tank play.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_03]: We called it the tank play, you know, like this is their literally tanking on this play.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, you're looking at that.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_03]: And in hindsight, it was like, are we really questioning whether the defensive coaches knew what they were doing, what Brian Flores knew what he was doing?
- 37:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he knew what he was doing.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's just that he didn't have the personnel in place.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that we do not have even close to the personnel in place to
- 37:26[SPEAKER_03]: The personnel that are most likely to do all right in that our guys like Resoul Douglas who got here less than a month ago
- 37:34[SPEAKER_03]: If something like that, you're not putting the defense in the team in position to succeed when you run the personnel the way that the dolphins are on personnel this off season.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_03]: They really, I think that we're starting to figure out that some of the guys we spent a lot of time complaining about last year were probably helping the defense hold on by a thin thread last year because they had at least a lot of
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: And now you're running we guys that don't have experience and don't have talent, you know, some of the guys that had experience and talent like John Ramsey, you know, and we, we pitched about them a lot, but it's better than what we're seeing right now.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, having an 85% success rate passing in the 11 personnel is, you know, insane and it boads terribly.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_03]: going forward.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that, um, I think that defensively, you know, more, more pain is coming.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, more pain has got more 305, 800 pain has more 305, 800 pain.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_04]: All right, moving on to the second half.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_04]: The offense got it going.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_04]: Now, uh, Simon, do you know how many carries, obviously, Gordon?
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he had won.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, do you know what he did in that one?
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Peter.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_04]: Eight yards.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_04]: Well, he broke, and he broke four tackles.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: And she's amazing.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: I want to talk about such a thing.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: He's amazing.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: How are you going?
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: You had the one carry, right?
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, on the final drive, when they clearly want to run the bull, he's on the field all the time.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: And he was the one that, that's the full side at one point.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_03]: And it's wise, I think.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think he had two errors.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: Why is he on the field at this point?
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to run the bull.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: Mm.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: I just couldn't, like, that, that, that, that I've also, there was a second down that drive, which, you know, Jay the model just sat on the sidelines, it's just like, why is a little not in the game?
- 39:33[SPEAKER_02]: Why is all he's good in the game?
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't necessarily blame him for
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: for all those kind of form starts and that, you know, because there's still a lot of emotions at the point where you like, hurry up, lad's, we've got to get, we've got it going, we've got it going.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: And you're still running emotions, just get, if Tariys literally running in five yards in stopping, they go at that point, just just getting to start from the, the, the, the, the start point.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: Don't worry about the waste and the tactics in the bush.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: What I was so fascinating about Lee Gordon, is that Malik Washington had three carries, all he wouldn't have won.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: Malik's first carry came on a jet suite, but the other two carries came out of single-back formation when he was literally lined up as a running match.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_02]: These were a trickeration, you know, little kind of pop passes or these were actual turns of how the ball off to a running match.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: So you're telling me that you're giving the ball,
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: I love Malay Washington, really great player and get the bonus hands as much possible, but you're giving the ball to the guy who is a slot-wide receiver, and you're not giving it to the guy who on the don't walk or ward two years ago, who every time you get in the ball, he just smashes people in the mouth and picks up always falls forward and picks up chunks of your ideas.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's me makes no sense,
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: problems with the offense, that the small pieces of the offense and two of the talk about after the guy, you know, getting back from different personnel people being in, different personnel not knowing what they were doing and this that, you know, that speaks the whole mind you share the machine that seems to have gone so badly wrong that everything, you know, you look at kind of the teams that just move the ball and that are incomplete and so I didn't know whose fault is and I'd love to be able to, you know,
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: If we ever get the chance to go in and talk to Toronto today, I'd love to say to you, you were in those huddles.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_02]: What's that like?
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: Is the play so long?
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: Is the verbiage so much that, you know, when the call comes in into two is here?
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: Is it so many words to get out?
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: Is he having to explain to people what is he telling people what their jobs are?
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: like why are you getting to the line with like nine seconds to go and then you've still got a motion people and you're just getting a snap off.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to know what that process is in terms of is but Daniel changed in the play before the 15 second curve, how is it working and what's what's going wrong?
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: Because that to me just felt like such an indictment of all the, you know, the bad stuff that was happening elsewhere and then defensively again,
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: And we call stuff anyway.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you look at what the bill is to get staring and they run for two hundred twenty one yards.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Well, to a to a looter a little bit to what you were saying earlier about, you know, what's happening in that hotel.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_04]: To us at sometimes I get to call and it's a wristband call and sometimes we're changing the call before the 15 second.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: But so, but why is that why we're still in this situation?
- 42:26[SPEAKER_04]: What I took from that comment was, give me wristband calls and this offense will run.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_02]: And don't give them a call that's like, you know, dagger right hot 64 jet W14, up to 07 on 3 and then get to like 17, 16 and then go, actually check, let's go, half night before motion, teen, boss, one, two, seven, time, time, time,
- 42:52[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, I'm a huge fan of Charles Davis.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_04]: I see him every year at camp.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_04]: I have good conversations with him.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_04]: I think right guy.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: What a great guy.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's one of the best analysts.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_04]: There is that there.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm one of the best people.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and he should be on one of the top teams in my opinion.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_04]: He said something in the game that you ever have like one of those light bulb moments where you're like, oh, yeah, that doesn't make sense.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_04]: But it's so good until smart in its simplicity.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_04]: Charles Davis said, the quickest way back for Miami is to identify the Tyrekill, Jill and Wattl and Devon H and are good players and just put the ball in their hands consistently.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: But put the ball in their hands in the right situation.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like again, how many times we say it?
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's like closely running A-champ with no when you're not doing running split zone when you don't have a lead for that and just running in between Yega just doesn't make any sense to me.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: Like we almost won the game by getting the ball to him out in space, you know, we, he scored a touchdown, by getting him out in the slot, getting my favorite matchup against the guy that just can't cover him in Robert's plane and he goes down the scores at touchdown.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: If you didn't step out of that, he probably wins the game doing getting the ball fled out to him as we should be given in the ball, not handing it in and just expecting to, you know, against offensive,
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: We can talk about the right side all we like in terms of boredom and and smith who held up okay actually for a mission.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was like, yeah, I was like, you know, until it mattered most, then they collapsed on the right side.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm sorry, the left side was not, you know, Paul is significantly further on that expected to be.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: He had a, there was some rough plays on that tape.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yesterday, but seven eye was dreadful.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like he, he was getting abused by Milton Williams.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_02]: And it looked really good when he was a good player.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: There's reason he got paid 26 million a year.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: But like he was getting water dog walks back into passing lanes.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: He was just getting beaten, like for quickness inside outside.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: It was not good at all.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I mean, I just don't know where you go.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think we all know what was going to happen.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if you're Steve Ross and you're sat there and you're listening to that mic, but down in a press of press conference.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, well, wait a minute, I've just watched you lose a game you should have won in the whole opener.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: We've not had a turn over all season in terms of actually getting a turn over.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_02]: I thought about, you know, thrown an absolute dolly of an inception and yet again he's played small in the big moment and we lost the game.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: The offensive line was a bit, you know,
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: Defensively, we're all over the shop that the morning past rush can't really get anywhere near, you know, a quarter back, and we're just not played very well.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and with our penalties, with our sacks, we've had interceptions, we've had procedural staff, we've had communication staff, we've taken time out, certainly.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: But if you're Steve Ross, you know, 85 years old, like a reader, a proper rebuild, which is what this team needs and it needs a duck thing and I don't want to be.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: getting people out of jobs, those scouting staff and all of those people I don't want to do that at all.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_02]: But the general manager, I think we all probably think the head coach, it's probably just time, the quarterback, it's probably just time.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, you've got your 85 years old and a proper rebuild.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_02]: When realistically, you're going to be competitive 2020.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: Eight.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's what, 88 years old then, 89 nearly.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: Is that really what he wants to do after all of the 90s put into this team?
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't want to like so don't want to give people people out of jobs.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: I also want to kill a person.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: But he might not be a lie at that point.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: Where's the joy coming from?
- 46:32[SPEAKER_04]: I think what Steve Ross can expect is what other teams have done, Denver has gone from getting 70 hung on their head to, basically, inside of a year in the playoffs.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_04]: And now, look like they're going to be a perennial playoff team.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: But what's out there, because if you sack my Daniel, Chris, you know, we've talked about this.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: We've talked about some.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_04]: So it can't change quickly.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_04]: They can turn it around quickly.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think I think defensively, if it clicks, to me, I think the defense has even though it's been the most atrocious, sizable so far.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_03]: It has the most potential to click and get back on track probably because they're just, you know, no room to go
- 47:19[SPEAKER_03]: But I think that, I think that, you know, Denver, you speak about that 70 point drop on them, they were a problem, they were about, I mean, if you do it statistically, they were like a top three defense after that game for the rest of that season, the Denver defense was, you know, measured in a bunch of different ways.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_03]: And that's, and that's, I guess there's a good and a bad to that.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_03]: But we're seeing a lot of bad to that.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's, it's a lot of bass awkwardness when you have Ollie Gordon out there being a rookie and doing rookie things like like getting fall starts and not quite, you know, knowing what he's about out there.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_03]: Um, on plays where he's out there, even though he's not going to get the ball, and he's not, you know, he's not the ball carrier.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and instead you have Malik Washington as the ball carrier out of, out of a half back position, uh, and, you know, because clearly the issue with the offense was that our running back to Von H and is is clearly too big.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_03]: We need to get smaller and more maneuverable.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_03]: You know, that's really, that's really backward.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: And, and I think that that's because McDaniel is all about what they won't see coming.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, fooling the opposing defense.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_03]: And, and misdirection and things like that.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_03]: This is what he's trying to do.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's trying to get personnel packages on the field and alignments out there that leave the defense, like, well, you know,
- 48:59[SPEAKER_03]: what are we going to do here, guessing, and kind of hesitating and things like that.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_03]: But at the end of the day, one of the most successful drives that the dolphins had at the end of the half, offensively, they line up and hurry up, and they're doing wristband calls, and they're splitting guys out wide, and they're running simple plays to good players.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, they're all bald at a Von H and he takes it to the house, you know, I think that the and not letting the defense not letting the defense get set and get ready and get their ducks in a row to handle all of these good players that Miami has.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_03]: And, and I think they need to really take a look at that and take that to heart because they're clearly is a situation happening here.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_03]: where the complexity of the offense is detracting from its performance.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_03]: And it's no longer the complexity of the offense is no longer shaking loose these star players that can go ahead and be stars.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's kind of gone the other way because defenses have started to take their time and
- 50:20[SPEAKER_03]: you could see it happening.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_03]: You could see the Patriots defense know what that first read is going to be and pull out a guy to literally just go out there and reroute the receiver that you know is going to be the first guy and there's a specific play that I'm thinking of where that happened and so that's something that's something that they've really got to look at offensively
- 50:49[SPEAKER_03]: I want to say things can't get worse, but they probably are going to be worse before better because they're facing Josh Allen in Buffalo this they're going to show it week.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, they're going to have a moment where they're in absolute pits, but I do think that things could turn up a little bit better unless, you know, just from a personnel standpoint, it's just unable to happen, but people ask me all the time, you know, like, you know, how can the defense be this bad when you have such good front
- 51:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, well, if this were seven on seven game, then that would be fine, but this is not a seven on seven game and the reality is you can't pass rush anybody.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_03]: if you don't cover, if you don't cover anybody.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's, if you don't win on those early downs by being able to cover people, and you know, when the quarterback is getting the ball out of his hands in 1.9 seconds, which is too short of time period for anybody to get there in rush, then you're not gonna have those third and seven opportunities where we did get the sack.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_03]: And we did actually force them into a pun.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_03]: The whole defense from a personnel standpoint was built on a lie.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_03]: And which is that this could that this could work that it didn't matter what you do in the secondary you don't have to have a complete defense because your front seven is just that wild and they're just going to do it themselves that was a lie you know defense does that it doesn't exist and so I think that I think that this is unfortunate for Anthony weaver probably most of all because in addition to having bad personal in this secondary is.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_03]: personnel everywhere that don't even fit, you know, they don't even fit the scheme and they're being taught to play ways that they haven't before.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_03]: And so it's really unfortunate for Anthony Weaver, I don't want to give him a pass because he brought up the Willie Gay thing, you know, he says that he has to find snaps for Willie Gay and he only found the way.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_03]: But you know what he did.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_03]: He found it.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_03]: He found it by coming out with a completely new package.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_03]: He came out with a four, three, a classic four, three package with three off-ball linebackers with Jordan Brooks and Tyrell Dodson and Willie Yay all out there at the same time.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, there are only some situations where you can do that.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_03]: And they found a couple of situations where they can actually, actually technically speaking is out there for four snaps because one of them was a fall start.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, like still, like, I think that that's, um, I think that that's, you know, the part of the struggle, also just off, you know, off to the side, I think that there's an issue with the linebacker coach and his preference for Tyrell Dodson, over Willie Yang.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_03]: And I think Anthony Weaver doesn't want to directly overrule one of his assistants, like, and this is one of those things.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, keep in mind, Anthony Weaver's only, like, a second season as a real defensive coordinator.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_04]: Um, oh yeah, I thought it was instructive.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_04]: I thought it was instructive and training camp.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_04]: The first guy that that one a job that was not named Tyree killed in Waterloo or to a tongue out of Lua or I'll let him go for that matter.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm, was Tyrell Dodson who Joe Barry a few days into camp while Willie Gay is making plays all over the field and you're like, who the hell my god, this really
- 54:15[SPEAKER_04]: Willie Gay looks like he's going to be a starter on this team is going to be a contributor and Joe Barry comes out in announces.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_04]: I've never heard of this before.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_04]: We're talking about four days into camp.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, no, Tyrell Dodson is our starter.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_04]: A lot with Jordan Brooks.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_03]: And that's an awkward situation for a defensive coordinator who hasn't had a lot of seasoning as a defensive coordinator.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_03]: He is not Vic Fangeo.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_03]: That's been around forever and you would expect him to be a stubborn old cusp that says no this is my guy this is you know I don't care what you think you know this is this is not that Anthony weaver so some of the sins that you're seeing with Anthony weaver really do seem because of a little bit of an experience and lack of seasoning as a defensive coordinator.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_03]: But at the same time he has been absolutely sabotaged from a personnel standpoint and on offense, the problem with Mike McDonald is you can't say the same thing on offense.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_03]: I was doing this the other day, all of these players have been here for three plus years.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_03]: or, you know, are working on their second year in the offense.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we have a few new guys, but, you know, it's, it's not even worth mentioning.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_03]: And this offense, this is the type of offense that you want to keep these guys around, you know, the classic like when you have so much turnover, it's really hard to establish yourself, well, no, they don't have a lot of turnover on offense.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_03]: They have the guys that have the guys that have been here for for years and I've been running it this should be running like a top instead it's running embarrassingly bad from the standpoint of organization and and execution like not not just embarrassingly bad because you know the guys that have been around that we trust to operate the offense are just not that talented and they're not winning.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's running badly because of those guys that have been around are not executing and they're not getting their assignments and there's still operations is usually from the coaching standpoint with the personnel groupings and things like that like how does that happen that how can that not be an extremely poor reflection.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_03]: of your head coach, who is the defacto offensive coordinator?
- 56:36[SPEAKER_03]: How could that happen?
- 56:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_04]: And let me say this because we got to get out of here.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_04]: We ran a little long for this, but I thought that this game deserved this, this going over.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_04]: That wristband that too is wearing, that's the install.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_04]: A Monday the coaches get together and they sit around in a conference room.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_04]: They got to film, they got their preliminary, you know, advanced scout from the team that they're going to play.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_04]: And they kind of know what they're going to be facing.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_04]: And they sit around and say, what do you like for 36?
- 57:05[SPEAKER_04]: What do you like for 3rd and 10?
- 57:07[SPEAKER_04]: what are you like for short yardage and they start narrowing down the playbook because look the playbook has thousand plays maybe so let's start narrowing it down and usually an install could be as little as 40 plays but the high end is like 80 plays that wristband has the entire install they hand the quarterback room on Tuesday
- 57:34[SPEAKER_02]: Part of the problem with that though, you go back into look at what the Saints did with with Breeze and with with Sean Payton.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_02]: They did the install together because Peyton asked Breeze, what do you like on third and see?
- 57:46[SPEAKER_02]: What do you you're the guy that's actually carrying out?
- 57:48[SPEAKER_02]: The fact that too is I just think this should be and I don't understand why there isn't more an early week.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_02]: integration of the core of that, if that's how it works, why is he not involved in choosing the plays that he feels comfortable because clearly, you know, he is limited to a great or a lesser degree.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_02]: So I personally would involve him in that kind of...
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: Peyton and Breeze just used to sit there for five or six hours just skull section just going through third one.
- 58:23[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think first downs?
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: What do we think third and ten?
- 58:27[SPEAKER_02]: What are these situations?
- 58:28[SPEAKER_02]: If we're you know second and 15, what's your you know what your red zone calls?
- 58:32[SPEAKER_02]: What's your first and go?
- 58:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and by the way, there's there's an excerpt in a quarterback with Joe Burrow sitting in with Zack Taylor and Joe Burrow flat out looks like this.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_04]: I don't like this.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_04]: Take that out.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_02]: It makes me nervous when I hear that the coach is just sitting there doing it and the call back is not involved in that situation.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, he's the guy that's out there doing it.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_02]: What do you like to throw on third and third and third and third?
- 58:57[SPEAKER_02]: What works for you or, you know, I mean, I play, I play God back for my football team.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_02]: I know what plays I like, but you know, in certain situations, I know the plays I want to go to.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: In certain situations, if it's four to five, I know that I'm going to call play now, I think because I don't exactly have Must be the same for him thinking, okay, third and five, I know what works.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: I know that Tyre is going to do this, or that must be a keenness going to do that, or Tanakhon is going to go like why is he not involved in those things that that you know that would concern me if that's actually a thing.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but I thought it was really instructive because Chris said something instructive earlier today on on our discord and again, if you want to become a member right there right under my name discord dot gg four slash only friends you become a member there all access before 99 a month Chris said that he spoke fluent tool and I think I'm kind of a pretty good tool whisper myself when he mentioned the wristband calls and he says sometimes we get a different call.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_04]: and is right before the cutoff, I know what that means.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_04]: And that means that wristband call came in, it's play 11.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_04]: All right, huddle.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_04]: Here's the play.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_04]: Oh wait a minute, it's a different play and now there's nine seconds on the play clock.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_04]: And I got you know, organized and orchestrate with nine seconds a new play.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, I'll find somebody on Twitter
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_03]: did not find its way into the official YouTube Q&A.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_03]: Like, the dolphins official, like, there's so, and so, like, everybody's like, oh, you never is all, you know, make too big really read too much into what stuff was stuff like that.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_03]: No, that was too a speak for, you know, you guys, you guys really mess this up.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_03]: Like, and that was not.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that that was kind of also push back.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_03]: from to it.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like, hey, you spent a week last week just blaming the players up and down.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_03]: So that, you know, everything that we worked on all summer long, you know, it's just really disappointing that the players weren't more executing it, weren't didn't know their assignments and stuff like that.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_03]: They blame, you know, you have Mike McDaniel out there calling to a out for not having his, for not having a good game for, for bad plays, you have Mike McDaniel
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_03]: Right, and as we talked about last week, it's sort of that, you know, Mike McDonald's kind of fostering and particularly on offense, a culture of what I call public accountability, and it's very public accountability, where Mike McDonald will throw in those, those, you know, those obligatory, you know, and all the buck does stop with me and I'm responsible for all of it and stuff like that.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_03]: But when it comes to the details,
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_03]: and the subtleties, he's gonna let you know who really, well, the play call got in on time.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_03]: It was the person I'll group, and that didn't come on in time.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, that's not the play call is him, right?
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_03]: And so I think that this is a situation where there is a little bit of a mismatch, even just offensively and defensively.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_03]: between that culture, public accountability versus the private accountability.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_03]: I think the defense is still very private.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_03]: You listen to Anthony Weaver talk, and frankly, you wouldn't know this is the worst defense in the league.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody is doing a phenomenal job.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody is fantastic.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody, and if they're not fantastic, it's because they have a really bad set of circumstances.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_03]: but they're pushing through it, and they're like, this isn't all their fault.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_03]: We're putting them in a bad situation and stuff like, he's doing all the classic cliche stuff.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_03]: Zack Seeler doesn't say, I think the leaders on that even, when they had a fight in the joint practice because Jordan Brooks is going after Tyler Dodson and that spilled into the public space and became a story like in public, they went and apologized to everybody about the like, no, no, we should have handled that,
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_03]: And stuff like that.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_03]: But meanwhile, in offense, you have Mike McDaniel calling out to her.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_03]: You have Mike McDaniel calling out Tyreech.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_03]: You have Tyree calling out Devon HN.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_03]: You have, you know, to a ton of a lot of calling out coaches.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_03]: You have Mike McDaniel calling out assistant coaches.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_03]: You have, you know, all, you have Mike McDaniel calling out is actually her.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_03]: You have Mike McDaniel calling out like all these different places.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: You know, on that touchdown, that storm that looked like storm duck gave out.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_03]: Give up, you know who exact who who's fault exactly that was why because Mike McGang will reveal it right right right away If you ought to melefon, we should have gotten over there as a safety.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's a culture of public accountability Which can go all right, but also it can go really wrong if if you know some of those guys behind the scenes are like I don't like being called out in public like that
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like, and, and so who knows if that was one of the reasons Jalen Ramsey was like, fuck, this noise, you know, Jalen Ramsey is a super private person.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_03]: He will not say, God damn things, he's my language, a goddamn thing in public.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_03]: about about what's going on.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_03]: He is the football cliche king when it comes to, you know, what he says, what he says to the point three word answers, three word answers.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_03]: And but in private and in private, that's a different story.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_03]: And here's, you know, Mike McDaniel, he's like, well, I'm just going to call out everybody and like, Jalen, Hoke, I'm you have an intersection lately, you know, stuff like that.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_03]: like it's a totally different thing and yes, that can go wrong.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_03]: That can be toxic.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_03]: You know, if not everybody's on board with.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's sort of like you're either in on the joke or you're not in on the joke.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_03]: And if you feel like you're not in on the joke, you're, you know, like you're, you know, it has to be, it's like when we carry each other up or something like that.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_03]: As long as we're all cool with each other, that's cool.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_03]: But what if one of us is not?
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_03]: you know like so it's it's it's really I think it's dangerous and I think that there is a culture problem building probably because of that.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah you know who had the greatest and I promise you if you're watching us I promise you we will end this podcast.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_04]: But who had a great podium game yesterday and that tells you all you need to know.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_04]: Terry Kill.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_04]: He said all the right things and maybe he said all the right things because he had a hundred yards on six catches you know.
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_04]: But until he's like, until he's like, well, you know, I think the real problem is divine H, and shouldn't be out there and ensure yardage, you know, and he's like, well, that's old divine H and that's, you know, there's, there's no, there's, there's no, and to speak to your and to speak to your point about public accountability, the very next press conference, Mike McDaniels came out and said, well, that was the emphasis of the entire practice and we told Tyrex specifically, that was the emphasis of the entire practice.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_04]: So maybe he should have been watching practice.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, it's all this public accountability, but there is no internal, but imagine Jordan Brooks imagine Jordan Brooks, if you will be in like, well, I think the answer, I think the problem with the, you know, our third down conversions is we really need to get Malifana off the field on third law.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_03]: You know, now told him this, he's not he's not fit for that, you know, like what if he said that?
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_04]: It'll be an absolute joke.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_04]: Alright, let's end this thing.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_04]: We will be with you either tomorrow or Wednesday.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_04]: Trust me, we'll be with you before this game on Thursday night football.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_04]: But, tell that.
