- 0:13Hello you guys, welcome back to another episode of the hawk Rol Energy Podcast.
- 0:17I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is your weekly reminder that it's
- 0:20a new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another day
- 0:23for you to become the hawk WORL Energy want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:28welcome back to another episode. I am a day late, and I'm
- 0:34going to explain why I'm a day late. So I'm apologizing now for uploading
- 0:40it on a Wednesday, a set of a Tuesday. But this episode we're
- 0:44talking about a lot of different things. We're talking about high maintenance things.
- 0:48We're talking about boosting your confidence and how to deal with the haters. And
- 0:54I'm gonna start with haters because, as I stated, I ended up uploading
- 1:00this episode at daily. I wasn't having the best day yesterday. I kind
- 1:04of took the day off recording because my mental state was not in the right
- 1:11mindset. Whenever I record, I want to be in a positive headspace.
- 1:15I want to provide the best insight possible and I want to provide the best
- 1:19advice. And yesterday I really had an emotional day. I really just wasn't
- 1:26feeling my positive self that I usually am, and it was because of hate.
- 1:32And I know going into the career that I'm in and if you guys
- 1:36may or may not know, I do influencing full time. I love social
- 1:41media and I love that it's my job, but there is some cons to
- 1:44it, and that is dealing with trolls and dealing with people that are going
- 1:48to criticize you, and that's the reality. And so I came across a
- 1:53situation yesterday where I went through some stuff and there was a lot of people
- 2:00saying some really mean things and it was pretty hurtful. It was pretty hard
- 2:06to see. And I'd rather be open on here and tell you guys the
- 2:10truth than come record an episode and not feel one hundred percent and just pretend
- 2:15to be happy and share all my tips and all that. And I wasn't
- 2:19happy and I just wasn't in the right headspace yesterday, and so I wanted
- 2:23to share how I was feeling, because if you have ever been bullied,
- 2:28or if you've ever felt hate from someone else who's putting hatred towards you,
- 2:32just know that those people are taking time out of their day to say something
- 2:38rude to you or anything like that because they're jealous. They're jealous, they're
- 2:43insecure, and they're dealing with their own issues and they're just putting that energy
- 2:47towards you. So, if there's one lesson that I've personally learned, especially
- 2:53something that I really needed to tell myself yesterday, is that no matter what
- 2:57you do, people will always criticize your actions when you try to achieve success.
- 3:02The quicker you can embrace that, the better you'll be. That is
- 3:06something that I've had written on my laptop, and that's something that I'll never
- 3:10forget. It's something that's just always been in my head and that no matter
- 3:14what, if you are a successful person and you're surviving at something, there's
- 3:17always going to be that one person that's going to try and bring you down
- 3:21because they're jealous of you. That's just the reality. And so I wanted
- 3:25to just share my current situation and how I've been feeling and how I'm kind
- 3:31of trying to deal with that hate, and to be honest, I'm really
- 3:36trying to use those haters as fuel, Like I'm trying to treat them as
- 3:40fuel and motivate myself to provide better quality content, to provide more improvement in
- 3:46my content all that, and right now, I'm really just trying to maintain
- 3:52positive self talk. I think I always try and provide insight to you guys
- 3:58when it comes to that is that I always find talking to myself and saying
- 4:00good things makes me feel so much better, and daily affirmations, journaling and
- 4:04all that really helps. And I need to keep reminding myself that there's so
- 4:10much more good verse bad. There's so many amazing people in my community that
- 4:15support me through my podcast, through my TikTok, through my Instagram, through
- 4:18all my platforms. People like you who come back and listen to all my
- 4:23podcast episodes, who message me on Instagram saying how much they love the podcast
- 4:27and all that. Like those are people that I value so much and that
- 4:31make me feel so good. And what make me keep going, honestly,
- 4:35is you guys giving me that positive feedback motivates me to keep doing what I'm
- 4:40doing and to do things even better. Reality is is that seeing the bad
- 4:44is never easy, but it's definitely something that I know I can move past.
- 4:48Anyways, I just wanted to briefly open up to you guys about that
- 4:51because that's currently how I was feeling yesterday. I was really down. I
- 4:56really just didn't want to record or anything. And yeah, you know,
- 5:01I felt a little self conscious of you know, how I communicate and all
- 5:05that, and yeah, it was just something that like really was getting to
- 5:11me. And so I went in with a different mindset today and I'm you
- 5:15know, turned that negative situation into a positive one by not allowing those negative
- 5:19people to get to me. And if anything, it's I'm getting it to
- 5:23fuel me and I'm getting it to motivate myself to provide better quality content.
- 5:29So anyways, I just wanted to say that before getting into this episode.
- 5:34And yeah, but before we even get into the rest of this episode,
- 5:40I did want to ask if you guys had the spare time to rate our
- 5:45podcast and leave a review. If you guys love it, it would mean
- 5:48the absolute world to me. You guys sending in all your messages always means
- 5:53so much to me when you guys say you love the podcast. So I
- 5:56just wanted to say, if you had the spare time to leave us a
- 5:58review and a star rating, it would mean the world to me. So
- 6:00I just wanted to start off with that. Okay, so before we get
- 6:04into all the high maintenance things, I refently wanted to chat about boosting your
- 6:10confidence. Now. Some of the things that I'm gonna be talking about,
- 6:14like pamper appointments and all that. When it comes to high maintenance girlies,
- 6:16doing those things obviously makes you feel really really good, Like we always love
- 6:21to feel like we're getting a glow up and all that. But just know
- 6:26that these five things here I find always really help me out when I'm feeling
- 6:30like low confidence or anything like that. I feel like these things immediately just
- 6:32boost my confidence, and I wanted to share. First thing is this is
- 6:36something that I try to do every single day because I know as soon as
- 6:41they do this, I always feel so much better about myself and I always
- 6:43feel so good. Is dressing nicely. I always find throwing on a cute
- 6:47outfit before I start my day just immediately boost my mood and makes me feel
- 6:53so good. Another thing is changing a small habit. So if there's something
- 6:57that you've been wanting to change in your life that you've been neglecting that you
- 7:00want to focus on and change, this is the time now to do it.
- 7:04That is immediately going to boost your confidence if you actually make the effort
- 7:09to change that situation that has been bothering you that you're trying to improve on.
- 7:13So one small habit for me that I felt like was something that I
- 7:16was neglecting to do was going to bed early. I was constantly staying up
- 7:20late, going on my phone, scrolling through TikTok all that, and I
- 7:25always had a hard time waking up early the next morning because obviously I'm not
- 7:28getting a good enough sleep, I'm not prioritizing my sleep schedule or anything like
- 7:31that. So I made a small change by going to bed at ten pm,
- 7:36no phone, nothing like that. I kind of put a rule in
- 7:39place for myself, and now I've been consistently going to bed at ten pm.
- 7:43I consistently wake up early in the morning, and that's because I decided
- 7:46to make that small change by allowing myself to go to bed early so I
- 7:53can wake up early. I also know, by changing a small habit like
- 7:57that, it always just makes me feel so and makes me feel like,
- 8:01Okay, you're actually doing something good for yourself, like you're actually doing something
- 8:05that makes you feel good. Okay. Another one is and I don't know
- 8:09why I find this boost my confidence, but I always find being kind to
- 8:11other people, Like I hate those people that just like always are rude or
- 8:18just like doesn't care to have a conversation with you, or anything like.
- 8:20I'd rather be nice to people and feel good about myself knowing that, like
- 8:24I'm a good person. I find like, if people are bringing you down,
- 8:28it's not going to make you feel good obviously, right, So if
- 8:30I can lift people up, it makes me feel good knowing that I'm a
- 8:33good person. Another thing that I do to boost my confidence is focus on
- 8:37solutions. So if there's a lot of problems that I feel like I'm like
- 8:41encountering within my life or within my schedule or anything like that, I always
- 8:46like to get a piece of paper out and just write down, Okay,
- 8:48what are the problems? So what are things that I've been doing in my
- 8:52life that are bothering me that I could find solutions for and then actually act
- 8:56on them. That immediately boost my confidence because I know I'm actually taking an
- 9:00initiative and I'm actually taking the time to find solutions to problems that have been
- 9:05bothering me for so long. And I find like that right there just immediately
- 9:09makes me feel so much better knowing that I'm taking the time out of my
- 9:13day to try and figure out how to make my life better, like how
- 9:16to make myself more successful. Right. So, I always find writing things
- 9:18down always helps me out so much more than just you know, telling myself
- 9:24Okay, yeah, I'm going to fix it, but then I don't.
- 9:26If I physically write it down, I feel like there's some sort of motivation
- 9:30that allows me just to actually act on it and think of a solution for
- 9:33it. Okay. And then lastly, this is something that I'm so bad
- 9:39at, Like I'm constantly guilty for. This is just stuff that you've been
- 9:43procrastinating on. I feel like I'm a big to do list girl, and
- 9:46I'll write like a big ass to do list of the day, and there's
- 9:48always just that one thing that like I'll always skip and I'll be like,
- 9:52oh, I'll do that tomorrow, and then you know, the next day
- 9:54comes and then I don't do it, and then the next day and the
- 9:56next day, and then I always beat myself up for like not getting that
- 10:00one thing done. I'm like, why didn't I do that? Like,
- 10:03so just getting that off your to do list by actually taking the action of
- 10:07doing that as soon as you wake up in the morning, just say Okay,
- 10:11I gotta get that one thing done that I keep pushing off. It
- 10:13will make you feel so good knowing that you took the time out of your
- 10:16day to actually just put everything aside and get that one thing that you have
- 10:20been procastinating on for so long. It feels so good. And I'm just
- 10:24laughing because I'm like, literally, I'm so guilty for this all the time,
- 10:28but I always feel good knowing when I've gotten it done, Like right
- 10:31now, I'm thinking of one right now that I'm like, oh my goodness,
- 10:33Kiley, you need to actually get this done. I suck at bringing
- 10:37packages to the ups store for things that I have to return. I just
- 10:41always like ignore it. But this is my sign that I need to actually
- 10:46go to the post office tomorrow morning and just drop them off and return them.
- 10:50And I know I'll feel so much better going into my day and knowing
- 10:52that that's done with. So those are just some things that I find boost
- 10:56my confidence when I feel like I'm feeling down and I just need a bit
- 11:00of boosts. They feel like doing those little things always makes me feel so
- 11:03much better. Okay, so now let's get into all the high maintenance things.
- 11:09Before I even get into this episode, I do want to talk about
- 11:11some of the things I will be sharing are considered bougie. I would say,
- 11:16like some stuff with like a bit of a higher price point, but
- 11:18I'm also going to provide like an alternative to something that's a bit more budget
- 11:24friendly. That way, if you guys, you know it's not something that
- 11:26you guys want to invest in, you guys can do almost like a dupe
- 11:31for certain things. So it's like, Okay, this is what people usually
- 11:33do for maintenance, but here's a dupe. So that's kind of how I'm
- 11:35going to position it, just because I know not everybody you know has the
- 11:39financial situation to do certain things, so I want to be able to make
- 11:43sure I provide both options for you guys. That way, you can still
- 11:46do things to you know, make you feel good by doing these things at
- 11:52home as well. So first things first, I'm gonna get into more health
- 11:56related stuff, less about like pampering appointments, because what kind of inspired me
- 12:01to do this episode was a TikTok trend where I saw some people talk about
- 12:05some of the things they do that makes them feel good. So I'm going
- 12:07to get into more health related stuff. So personally, for me, I
- 12:15love taking supplements, and I've talked about some of the supplements that I've taken
- 12:18in the past well that I still use currently, but I'm not going to
- 12:22mention them. Is just like my greens, my collagen, all that.
- 12:24Like, I'm not going to go into deep dive about that, but that's
- 12:26stuff that I take consistently. And when you're consistent with these things, I'm
- 12:31also just going to highlight that all the things that I'm talking about, that's
- 12:33when you're going to notice a dramatic difference. So, for example, I'm
- 12:37going to be sharing vitamins. Vitamins is something that I've recently got back into.
- 12:41I feel like I really lacked my vitamin intake, especially in the beginning
- 12:46of this year. I started to get back into my probiotic in the beginning
- 12:48of the year, but I felt like my other vitamins I just almost ignored.
- 12:52So I've been getting back into a vitamin C, Vitamin D, and
- 12:56one brand that I recently came across recently that I personally have been loving.
- 13:01This is not paid advertisement at all, It's just something that I personally been
- 13:03taking recently and I really really love it. It's the brand called JAS Health,
- 13:09and one of my friends stuff, she's a nutritionist. She also recommended
- 13:13it and said amazing things about the brand. So I'm like, hey,
- 13:16if you're a nutritionist and you're saying amazing things about it, like I need
- 13:20to try it. So I have been using their mood Booster vitamin because I
- 13:26experience flows of mood. I find like some days I'm good, some days
- 13:30I'm not, and it's just something that my body just does where I some
- 13:35days am in a good mood and some days I'm not. Sometimes it's really
- 13:37weather dependent, and this mood booster vitamin is supposed to help with situations like
- 13:45that emotional balance and all that. And there's one ingredient in there that's called
- 13:50saffron, and saffron is actually supposed to help that emotional balance and all that.
- 13:56So basically that's something that I've been taking. And I've only been taking
- 14:00it consistently for two weeks now, so I can't honestly give my full on
- 14:05review on it yet, but I hear really really good things about it,
- 14:09So I'm really excited to see how it works out consistently, and I'll keep
- 14:13you guys posted if you guys want me to, But that's definitely been something
- 14:16that I've included into my routine recently that I really really love. Another thing
- 14:20is magnesium. I've had a few messages from you guys saying is magnesium worth
- 14:24it? And J's Health does have a magnesium advanced pill that you can take
- 14:31every night before you go to bed, and this is also something that I've
- 14:33been recently taking. I've been using magnesium now for I want to say,
- 14:37three or four months. I've been using the aloe spray, which I love,
- 14:43but I recently received the vitamin so I decided to try that at night,
- 14:46and honestly, I personally find it makes a difference. I find my
- 14:48sleeps are just more deeper, if that makes sense. That I feel like
- 14:52I'm having a really good sleep when I wake up in the morning, and
- 14:56I also feel like I don't wake up as much in the middle of the
- 14:58night like I think I told you guys a few episodes back that I was
- 15:01having some really bad sleeping issues, like I was constantly waking up in the
- 15:05middle of the night. I just couldn't have a good sleep. And I
- 15:09feel like whenever I take magnesium. I always have a good night's sleep,
- 15:13and when I'm consistent with it, it always works so much better. So
- 15:16that's definitely something that I try and take every night before I head to bed,
- 15:20just because I know I feel so good and so well rested when I
- 15:24do, and sleep is just so important, and I just always try and
- 15:28make that a huge priority because people are always asking me why you so productive,
- 15:31and I honestly feel like one of the main things is because I feel
- 15:35I'm always well rested and I'm just like listening to my body and just waking
- 15:41up when I need to wake up, and yeah, I don't know.
- 15:43I just find having a good sleep is just so so important for your health.
- 15:46Okay, so now we're going to get into more of the pampered appointments.
- 15:50These are some things that I've personally done consistently or like that I keep
- 15:56going back to, or things that I've tried but haven't gone back too,
- 16:00if that makes sense. So the first thing is getting your brows done.
- 16:03This is something that I do on a monthly basis. Now I know some
- 16:07people like my sister who literally get their brows done like maybe twice a year,
- 16:11and that's it. But some people are blessed with nice eyebrows and can
- 16:15literally just tweez them themselves. So alternative is is if you can literally just
- 16:19buy a tweezer and tweez your eyebrows yourself from home. Beautiful lucky you me.
- 16:23On the other hand, I was born with the thickest eyebrows in the
- 16:27entire world, which I am not complaining about. God bless. I love
- 16:30having thick eyebrows, but they are a bit more maintenance, so I usually
- 16:36have to go on a weekly basis to get my eyebrows waxed. I do
- 16:41not wax them myself. I have attempted that and it went horribly wrong.
- 16:45I actually had a funny story. I decided to do it myself one time,
- 16:48and I ended up giving myself a little bald spot. It actually hasn't
- 16:52fully grown back since either. So that was like a high school thing that
- 16:56I did to myself and since then I've been scarred. And I only let
- 17:00one girl do my eyebrows. And I've been going to the same girl since
- 17:03high school, like literally since problems. So she's my girl. She knows
- 17:07what I want, she does everything right, and I just like cannot put
- 17:11that trust back into myself by doing it again. But I know some people
- 17:15who are the waxing queens that literally wax their eyebrows at home, like no
- 17:18problem. Like I think the brand is called nairor they have waxing strips.
- 17:22I hear good things about them. I've actually used that brand for my upper
- 17:26lip for like any peach fuzz or anything like that, and it works well.
- 17:30So if you're someone that wants to get into waxing and just wants to
- 17:33do it theirself at home, you definitely can do that, specially if you
- 17:37can do it with your eyebrows, like go you, that's awesome. I
- 17:41literally can't, so I personally like to get them professionally done. But the
- 17:45alternative to that is getting wax strips or tweezers and yeah, being able to
- 17:51do your brows. I find brows make a huge difference on my face.
- 17:52I don't know if I'm the only person, but I always feel like when
- 17:55I get my eyebrows done, like it literally like my face looks can really
- 17:59different. Like it boosts my confidence immediately just because I feel like it just
- 18:03like changes the way my face looks. I don't know, it's amazing what
- 18:07eyebrows can do okay, there's also tinted brows or lashes. I've personally only
- 18:14tinted my lashes. I've never tinted my brows. I think just because I
- 18:17have such thick eyebrows. I've never wanted to actually do that kind of appointment.
- 18:21But I know people that do it, like not religiously, but they
- 18:25do it ever so often and see great results out of it. Another thing
- 18:29is lash extensions. I know a lot of people like to do that as
- 18:33a maintenance. I feel like for me, my replacement to lash extensions are
- 18:37my nails. If I had to choose one, it would be my nails
- 18:40over my lashes. I've never tried lash extensions. I don't really care to.
- 18:44To be honest, I actually don't have any lashes. Like my eyelashes
- 18:48suck, But I just I've never wanted to do it because I hear so
- 18:52many mixed things about it, Like I know some people who are like die
- 18:55hard love it, will never not do it like on a monthly basis.
- 19:00And then I know some people who have had like traumatic experiences, whether like
- 19:03I will never go back, like my lashes are ruined. So it's almost
- 19:07like for me, I'm just kind of like, I don't know if I
- 19:08want to go down that rabbit hole of experimenting. So I've just decided to
- 19:14do lash serum and do it myself. So that's like the alternative is getting
- 19:18a lash serum to boost your lash growth. I find the one I'm using
- 19:22is working pretty well. It's called Vey Beauty Premium Eyelash Growth Serum. And
- 19:30I got this recommendation from my best friend who's actually a tinted lashes and lash
- 19:37extensions girls. So for anyone who's had, you know, previous trauma to
- 19:41you know, potentially losing their eyelashes from doing the extensions or anything like that,
- 19:45she recommends this eyelash serum. So it's on Amazon. I think I
- 19:48think it's like thirty nine dollars. It's not that not that expensive, and
- 19:52I personally find it makes a big difference when you're consistent with it and when
- 19:56you put it on morning and night. So definitely recommend that as an alternative.
- 20:02But yeah, I don't know. Lashes are another thing that I find
- 20:06plays a big factor, lashes and brows, But I honestly don't wear that
- 20:10much mascara either, Like I like kind of like the no mascara look.
- 20:12I don't know if that's weird at all, Like let me know if you
- 20:15guys feel the same way. I feel like this has been a recent thing
- 20:18for me. But I'll literally just crawl my eyelashes and that's it and just
- 20:22like do a bit of bronze or my face, do a bit of blush
- 20:25concealer, like just not really do any eye makeup. But I feel like
- 20:27my face looks good and I find it boost is my confidence when I do
- 20:32that little bit of makeup but no mascara. Try it and let me know
- 20:36what you guys think. But I don't know. I find like the lashes
- 20:40have been fine without muscara and I'm feeling good about it. Okay, So
- 20:44the next bougie thing for when it comes to appointments for maintenance things is getting
- 20:48facials done regularly. I have gotten too facials in my life and I love
- 20:53them and they do make a big difference in my skin, but they are
- 20:56pretty expensive, so it's not something that I would say is like totally worth
- 21:02it to keep doing unless you're someone who's been really battling with some skin issues.
- 21:06I've seen actually a lot of YouTubers talk about facials and talk about,
- 21:08you know, some experiences that they've had with facials and how it's really change
- 21:15their skin, and when they're consistent with the appointments, they really see a
- 21:18big difference in their skin and just the overall hydration and all that. So
- 21:22if you're someone that feels like they break out constantly, or you know,
- 21:26feels like their skincare routine isn't enough, or face masks or notthing like that,
- 21:30maybe leveling up to a facial might be something that would be worth the
- 21:33investment and consistently getting into the appointments. Personally, for me, I like
- 21:38to do the alternative, which is just keeping up with face mask and keeping
- 21:42up with a good skincare routine. For me, my favorite face masks are
- 21:48the Doctor Jarrett Wentz by far my favorite face masks. I also have very
- 21:53sensitive skin. For all the girlies that feel me, my skin like literally
- 21:59reacts to anything. I'm not even over exaggerating, Like when I got my
- 22:02first facial, I literally told the girl I was doing my facial, I'm
- 22:03like, I'm going to warn you. I might react to this, like
- 22:07my face might swell up and go into a full on rash and she was
- 22:11like, oh my God, like god it concerned. Anyways, I ended
- 22:15up being fine. But my face is just like very sensitive to a lot
- 22:18of things. So I'm always very cautious on the skincare products that I buy
- 22:22all that, and when something works for my skin, I stick to it.
- 22:26I do not change anything. So for me, the Doctor Jared face
- 22:29masks, they're like a silicone material. Fine, They're just the best mass
- 22:33in my opinion, and I always notice a good glow after the fact as
- 22:37well. I always love the way my skin looks and skincare. You guys
- 22:42know, my favorite thing to do in the morning every single morning is my
- 22:47skincare routine. I find investing and getting into the habit of doing a skincare
- 22:52routine is so important for good skin. If you guys want to have good
- 22:56skin, I think it's important to do that. And so for me,
- 23:00I've invested in my skincare routine and I find it's made a huge difference in
- 23:03my skin, and I'm consistent with it. I do it every single morning.
- 23:07I treat SPF like it's my best friend. I do constant I creams,
- 23:12moisturizers, serums, all that good stuff, lip glosses, all that,
- 23:18and one thing that I've recently added to my routine. I've talked about
- 23:22some of the SPF's that I use. The one that is my favorite that
- 23:25I talk about all the time is the Summer Friday's SPF thirty by far my
- 23:29favorite face sunscreen. It's so sheer, it goes on so easily, it
- 23:33doesn't take forever to absorb like normal sunscreen. I don't know if you guys
- 23:37know the Hawaiian chopic sunscreen. You put that on your body and you're like
- 23:40constantly rubbing it in to like absorb into your skin. The Summer Friday's one
- 23:44for your face takes no time at all. Literally, you put on your
- 23:47face and it's absorbed immediately. So that's super nice for like an everyday sunscreen.
- 23:51So highly recommend that. One thing that I've been using religiously lately is
- 23:55the Kosis Juicy and Plumpy Collagen spray. This product, guys, is amazing.
- 24:03I've noticed such a big glow on my face. I'm not even over
- 24:07exaggerating. It is probably one of the best things that I've ever tried when
- 24:11it comes to skincare. So if you're someone that doesn't want to, you
- 24:15know, put all their money towards facials and just wants to potentially invest in
- 24:18a better skincare routine or like I said, just doing regular face masks and
- 24:22all that. I highly recommend CO says spray. It's so good, you
- 24:26guys, I absolutely love it. And yeah, I just thought I would
- 24:29recommend that just because that's something that I've recently included my routine and I've really
- 24:32noticed a difference of my skin just by adding that. Okay, another thing
- 24:36that the high maintenance girlies always have to do is hitting up the hair salon,
- 24:41getting their roots touched up, getting toner, getting highlights, all that.
- 24:45Personally, for me, I don't go too often to the hair salon.
- 24:51I probably go like twice a year. I know some people that go
- 24:53like four times a year. I personally need to tone my hair because it
- 24:59pulls red. I don't know if you're a brunette and you feel me.
- 25:02I feel like my hair constantly pulls red. So for me, I need
- 25:04to have that maintenance appointment and go at least twice a year just to get
- 25:08my hair retoned. You guys also always ask me, like Killy, how
- 25:11do you keep your hair so shiny, Like what are things that you do?
- 25:14And so one thing that's an alternative to going to the salon. Obviously
- 25:19you could get like boxed hair dye, which I don't recommend, but hey,
- 25:23if you're someone that's on the budget and wants to dye their hair,
- 25:26you can definitely do that. Not coming from a professional because I've never been
- 25:30a hairer stylist or anything that, but for me, like keeping my hair
- 25:33healthy and all that is important to me. And one thing that's so expensive
- 25:37at hair salons, and my hair dresser is always like, kille, don't
- 25:40get this. It's so expensive here, like just do it yourself is hair
- 25:44mass And I find like you could literally go to a hairdresser and they'll say,
- 25:48yeah, it's one hundred and forty dollars for a hair mask. I'm
- 25:49like, absolutely not. I will do that on Sunday, and I will
- 25:55do that as part of my self care day like not doing that. So
- 25:57I loved doing a good hair mask day. I love just taking a hair
- 26:02mask, putting it all my hair. On my hair washed day, I'll
- 26:04slick it back in a bun. I'll probably do my Sunday reset or whatever,
- 26:08like take the next two to three hours to myself of doing stuff,
- 26:11and then I'll take a shower. And I love like just letting the hair
- 26:15mask sit in as long as I can. Sometimes I'll actually do it overnight.
- 26:19It's not the most comfortable thing to deal with, but I just find,
- 26:23yeah, doing hair masks always makes my hair looks so much healthier after.
- 26:26I feel like it always has like a nice shine to it always looks
- 26:30super healthy. I have very dry hair, so I always have to find
- 26:33like shampoo and conditioner that's like has moisture in it to help with like any
- 26:38dry ends or anything like that. But I think one thing that's important is
- 26:42making sure when you're buying Shampooon conditioner when it comes to like your hair health,
- 26:47is finding Shampooon conditioners that work for your hair type. So if you're
- 26:52not like me where you have dry hair, but you have really oily hair,
- 26:53then maybe fine a shampooon and conditioner that's best for that. Or if
- 26:57you're someone who's had a lot of damage or breakage from you know, dyeing
- 27:00your hair too much or just in general, then maybe find a Shampooon conditioner
- 27:06that has repair or anything like that. So that's definitely something I recommend.
- 27:10It's just hair health in general that if you're the kind of person that doesn't
- 27:12like to do salon visit, then maybe find some hair masks that work for
- 27:17you, or find some shampoon conditioner that works for your hair type. But
- 27:21hair mass specifically, I'm trying to think of the brand that I use.
- 27:25It is Oliplex, I think is the one that I use, Oliplex or
- 27:29orbe I've tried both of them. Oh, Gisu, it's the gi Su.
- 27:33Sorry, the Gisu hair mask is the one that I've used for the
- 27:36past month. But I do also love the Oliplex one, but that's a
- 27:40bit more intense. So yeah, those are probably my two, the Gisu
- 27:44and Olplex. Okay, this next one is something that I've been wanting to
- 27:48do for so long, but I just haven't done it yet. But I
- 27:52have been recently doing my research on it, and I have to wait till
- 27:56the winter now to do it because we're going till the summertime and you actually
- 27:59can't get this procedure done during the summertime. But laser hair removal, I
- 28:03hear such great things about this, like I hear so many people say that
- 28:08it's totally worth the investment. So I've been really wanting to get into it
- 28:14because I hate shaving my legs. I hate shaving everywhere. It's just so
- 28:19annoying. And my best friend has been consistent with it and literally says,
- 28:25like, no hair anywhere and it's the best thing ever. So that's something
- 28:30that I've been wanting to get into. There's not really an alternative for that.
- 28:33I have seen ads on Amazon where you can get like a little remote
- 28:38that can remove your hair off your leg I don't know if that actually works
- 28:42or not. I need to do my research on that. If you do
- 28:45own that and it works really well, let me know and send me the
- 28:48link because I will definitely try it out. But I haven't heard anything when
- 28:53it comes to that, I cannot wax my legs, Like, there's no
- 28:56way in hell I'll wacks my legs if you do that, go you.
- 28:59But I just shave my legs, And obviously, like going into the summertime,
- 29:03you have to be more consistent with it. And I'm like beating myself
- 29:06up or not getting into laser hair removal this past winter because I feel like
- 29:08it would have been a bit of a difference in this summer season. But
- 29:12yeah, if you're someone that's been constmplating on doing it, I think you
- 29:15should just do it, Like once you hit your winter season, I think
- 29:19you'll totally be worth it. At least the things I've heard about it,
- 29:22I hear really good things about it. So that's definitely something that I'm going
- 29:26to be getting into as soon as I get back into the winter season.
- 29:29Okay, this next one is something that I've actually never talked about on the
- 29:32podcast, at least I don't think I have. I've definitely shared on my
- 29:33social media before, but this is something I kind of want to briefly chat
- 29:38about. But also let you guys know that this is not something that you
- 29:41need to do at all. Please, None of these things or something you
- 29:45have to do. These are just things that I recommend if you're a high
- 29:48maintenance growing and like to do different types of appointments. These are just things
- 29:51that I personally recommend if you wanted to get into if you want to hear
- 29:55good things about it. But this is something that I personally did for myself
- 30:00because I was self conscious about it and I wanted to boost my confidence.
- 30:04I know a lot of people that you know, get their boobs done and
- 30:08that is their choice and that is their body, and if that makes them
- 30:11feel better doing it, I fully support things like that. I'm like,
- 30:15you should do it. If it boosts your confidence and it makes you feel
- 30:18good, do it. I'm fully in support of that kind of mindset.
- 30:21So for me, two years ago, I decided to make the decision to
- 30:26get my lips done. My lips were always something that I was self conscious
- 30:30about. I would constantly overline my lips. I would constantly, you know,
- 30:34make them bigger in photos. Like I'm just being totally open here,
- 30:37Like, it was just something that I was so insecure about. And so
- 30:41once filler became a very popular thing, I decided to invest in it and
- 30:45get it done. And to be honest, in my personal opinion, it
- 30:49was probably the best investment that I did for myself because I feel so much
- 30:55more beautiful, I feel so much more confident because it was just something that
- 30:57bothered me so much, Like even smiling. I had a very gummy smile
- 31:02and I just didn't personally like the way my smile looked because it was so
- 31:06gummy, and so I got the lip biller and it really kind of covered
- 31:11my gummy smile. It also just made my face look more symmetrical, like
- 31:15by like adding a bit more to my lips. So I personally have one
- 31:19mL in my lips. That's what I got done the very first time.
- 31:22And then every year I go once a year and I only get point five.
- 31:26That is it very small, Like a lot of you guys are probably
- 31:30gonna be shocked, right, No, if you guys have seen me on
- 31:32Instagram, we probably like kill. Your lips are already so small, like
- 31:33it doesn't even look like they were done. Well, you guys have not
- 31:36seen the before photos. My lips were so small, like I had no
- 31:40top lip. And I've been going to the same girl for the past three
- 31:44years. She is amazing. She's an Ottawa. Her clinic is called Medical
- 31:48Aesthetics Canada. Her name is Taisa. She is so good, She is
- 31:52so honest. She is the only person that I will trust to do anything
- 31:56on my face. Another thing that I've actually done as well is I've tried
- 32:00baby botox in my forehead. Again, I'm just being open here with you
- 32:04guys that this is nothing that you guys have to do. This is just
- 32:07totally me being transparent and something that I find has just worked for me and
- 32:12has made me feel good, or anything like that. An alternative if you're
- 32:15someone that doesn't want to do fill or anything that you can get like those
- 32:20plumping lip glosses. I know Two Faced has like the lip plump I actually
- 32:23used to use that all the time. I just wanted to step it up
- 32:29and actually invest in getting it done. But if you guys have any questions
- 32:32when it comes to that, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
- 32:35I know that's something that is kind of scary for some people to know
- 32:37that a needle's going in your face. I actually hate needles, so it
- 32:40was definitely hard for me to like finally have the guts just to do it
- 32:45and get it over with. But I'm so happy I did it. I
- 32:46feel like it's made me feel so so much better to get it done.
- 32:50And like I said, these are definitely things that you guys don't have to
- 32:52do. This is just something that I personally wanted to do for myself and
- 32:55I find it was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I
- 32:58personally feel like it's just made huge difference in my confidence with getting them done.
- 33:02So that's everything I can think of, at least for high maintenance things
- 33:07that I personally do or appointments that I know a lot of people like to
- 33:12get done specifically either during the summertime or just in general for maintenance that they
- 33:16like to do throughout the year. But thank you guys so much for listening
