Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: This is am I the problem where you send us
- 0:08Speaker 1: your side of the story and we let you know
- 0:10Speaker 1: if you are in the right or if maybe, just
- 0:13Speaker 1: maybe you're the problem. Vanessa wrote into us, and it's
- 0:18Speaker 1: a bit of a roommate dispute.
- 0:21Speaker 2: So, oh man, I have those all the time.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Are you calling your wife your roommate? I hope she's
- 0:28Speaker 3: not listening to.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Poke the bear. Obviously it's just a joke, but this
- 0:33Speaker 4: is one of those inside jokes. I'll be like, oh, hey, roommate,
- 0:37Speaker 4: can you wow? That goes over real?
- 0:39Speaker 1: Well, okay, roommate life ain't for the week, Gabe and Angie,
- 0:44Speaker 1: I need your help here. So my roommate keeps bringing
- 0:48Speaker 1: guys over to our super small apartment, and every time
- 0:52Speaker 1: I have to hear insanely loud noises that echo through
- 0:57Speaker 1: every wall, you know the kind.
- 1:00Speaker 4: It's also an intense game of Monopoly, or maybe they're
- 1:04Speaker 4: playing Warzone.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, Gabe, are you really gonna play naive
- 1:09Speaker 1: right now?
- 1:10Speaker 2: I don't know what kind of noises you're talking about.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Maybe because you'll be calling your wife, you're really you
- 1:18Speaker 1: don't get to experience those all right? After weeks of
- 1:23Speaker 1: these wildly loud noises. I finally snapped. The other night,
- 1:28Speaker 1: while I had friends over, she got going again, so
- 1:31Speaker 1: we made loud animal noises to mock her. We were
- 1:36Speaker 1: barking and squealing, no way and doing the most. She
- 1:40Speaker 1: shut up immediately, But now I feel weird and bad.
- 1:45Speaker 1: We haven't talked since and things are super awkward. Did
- 1:49Speaker 1: I overreact? And actually I'm the problem?
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yes? Who is this?
- 1:54Speaker 3: Vanessa?
- 1:55Speaker 2: Vanessa? You are the problem? Now? If I was there,
- 1:58Speaker 2: that's hilarious. I'm dying laughing.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Oh like if you were one of the friends hanging
- 2:03Speaker 1: out and you heard this, Yeah.
- 2:04Speaker 4: But you know, it's kind of not my circus, not
- 2:06Speaker 4: my monkeys. If I'm just a friend hanging out. But
- 2:09Speaker 4: as a roommate, all right, there's kind of a what
- 2:11Speaker 4: would there's like a code? All right, there's a there's
- 2:14Speaker 4: a team badge of honor here.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:16Speaker 4: The best way to go about this instead of embarrassing
- 2:20Speaker 4: your roommate, who also, I agree, should have been a
- 2:22Speaker 4: little bit more respectful that she lives with other people
- 2:25Speaker 4: and maybe shouldn't express herself to that volume.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Maybe she doesn't realize how loud.
- 2:29Speaker 4: She Exactly, you are the problem because you embarrass this girl,
- 2:34Speaker 4: your roommate, you know, hopefully your friend to an extent
- 2:38Speaker 4: without simply just talking to her first.
- 2:41Speaker 2: You know how easy it would be.
- 2:43Speaker 4: You're sitting there on a Thursday, doing your homework and
- 2:46Speaker 4: just being like, hey, I gotta let you know. I'm
- 2:48Speaker 4: not trying to embarrass you, but whilst you're enjoying your
- 2:51Speaker 4: Saturday or whatever, maybe this is Tuesday at two, you know,
- 2:55Speaker 4: you're enjoying yourself, Like we can hear you very very clearly.
- 2:59Speaker 4: That probably would do enough to embarrass her. But at
- 3:03Speaker 4: least you did it in private, and you know, maybe
- 3:05Speaker 4: something goes off in her head like I need to
- 3:07Speaker 4: be a little more quiet. Yeah while playing Monopoly.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Oh oh my gosh, but soon the game it's fun.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It doesn't need to be that.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Loud, I will say, Vanessa, Actually, yeah, why didn't you.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Just talk to her first?
- 3:21Speaker 1: My guess though, is that she was trying to be
- 3:25Speaker 1: chill about it, like she was trying to ignore it,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and she said that she snapped, So maybe that was like,
- 3:30Speaker 1: I mean, there's a whole series on what was it
- 3:32Speaker 1: the channels that oxygen about snapped?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Were you just like you can't control it?
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah? But I snapped.
- 3:38Speaker 4: That doesn't give you the excuse to just kind of,
- 3:41Speaker 4: I don't know, embarrass your roommate or be a joke.
- 3:43Speaker 2: You're right, You're right, I'm.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Saying at some point, Yeah, maybe you do kind of
- 3:47Speaker 4: snap and you take it to a certain level. But
- 3:48Speaker 4: I think there's got to be steps along the ladder
- 3:51Speaker 4: that you check out the box first before you go
- 3:54Speaker 4: instantly to I'm going to embarrass this girl for the
- 3:57Speaker 4: rest of the time now that we live together.
- 3:58Speaker 1: What are your thoughts? Seven one two eight oz one
- 4:01Speaker 1: nine eight seven Is Vanessa the problem for shutting down
- 4:07Speaker 1: her roommates, yes, loud game of Monopoly by mocking her
- 4:14Speaker 1: with animal sounds.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, that sounds bad.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Do you think she's the problem or do you think
- 4:19Speaker 1: the roommate was being inconsiderate?
- 4:21Speaker 3: Let us know.
- 4:22Speaker 1: We've also got this up on the Big ninety eight
- 4:23Speaker 1: points I've in facebook page. We'd love to hear your
- 4:26Speaker 1: thoughts today.
- 4:32Speaker 3: On am I the problem?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Vanessa says her roommate constantly brings guys over and gets
- 4:38Speaker 1: very loud. So during one of the hookups, Vanessa and
- 4:42Speaker 1: her friends started making animal noises to mock her like that, Yeah,
- 4:47Speaker 1: and now things are awkward between Vanessa and her roommate,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and she's wondering if maybe she went too far? Is
- 4:54Speaker 1: she the problem in this scenario? I will say, I've
- 4:58Speaker 1: been I've been thinking about and I'm just wondering, Vanessa,
- 5:04Speaker 1: why don't you go through your little black book have
- 5:08Speaker 1: someone come over during the same time, and now you're
- 5:11Speaker 1: playing a battleship if you know what I mean, Mike, I'm.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Convinced they just have a rousing game of Monopoly going on.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, we'll have a rival game of Monopoly in
- 5:23Speaker 1: your room, and then maybe she'll get the.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Picture, and then maybe the whole apartment will hate.
- 5:28Speaker 1: You exactly the entire building and we're like, what's happening
- 5:32Speaker 1: over there?
- 5:33Speaker 2: We do have?
- 5:33Speaker 4: Crystal said no, she knew she was being allowed barkater
- 5:37Speaker 4: every time you see her. WHOA, my gosh, this is aggressive, Yeah, Jade,
- 5:43Speaker 4: And this, actually, I think is the most realistic response here. Okay, Jade,
- 5:47Speaker 4: communication and respect goes a long way on both ends.
- 5:50Speaker 4: And yes, not everyone is built for roommates. Should you
- 5:53Speaker 4: have embarrassed your roommate like that? I would say, no,
- 5:55Speaker 4: you are the problem. There are one hundred things you
- 5:57Speaker 4: could have done before. You basically went to the most
- 6:01Speaker 4: extreme form of embarrassment.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Now, your roommate, I'm not saying she's off the hook either.
- 6:06Speaker 4: You live with other people. How can you be in
- 6:09Speaker 4: there sounding like cows out on the pasture while enjoying
- 6:14Speaker 4: your time. O. Yeah, let's be respectful of our roommates
- 6:17Speaker 4: on both ends. Yes, embarrassing her like that is wild.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah now, but the damage is done. So Vanessa, I.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Think your best bet is to just I know it's awkward,
- 6:27Speaker 1: but you're already there in the awkward space. So you
- 6:29Speaker 1: got to tell your roommate you're sorry, explain to her
- 6:34Speaker 1: what happened, and if all else fails, you just get
- 6:37Speaker 1: on NDSU roomies and try to find a new roommate.
- 6:40Speaker 2: That's right.
- 6:40Speaker 4: I have two more of these four your ads. Okay,
- 6:43Speaker 4: we had Mandy. I like when Mandy said you are
- 6:47Speaker 4: both the problem.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Lol. I think that's very true.
- 6:51Speaker 4: And then finally David, he said, And I know David,
- 6:55Speaker 4: I know his sense of humor, I know this guy personally.
- 6:57Speaker 4: He said, Vanessa is the greatest person who's.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I'm really excited, Gabe, because my little victory is that
- 7:11Speaker 1: I did a grown up thing yesterday and I applied
- 7:15Speaker 1: for my passport.
- 7:17Speaker 3: I went to the.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Post office Prairiewood post Office I think it was, and
- 7:22Speaker 1: I had all of my paperwork ready and I went
- 7:25Speaker 1: up and when the guy, the guy who called me up,
- 7:27Speaker 1: his name was Rick, and he was so nice, and he, like,
- 7:31Speaker 1: I think, looked really serious in the beginning, and I thought, oh, no,
- 7:35Speaker 1: is he gonna be a mad postal employee? But he
- 7:39Speaker 1: was so kind and so sweet. And turns out he
- 7:42Speaker 1: used to be on the radio. For on your application,
- 7:46Speaker 1: you have to write what you do for a living,
- 7:48Speaker 1: and I put morning show hosts. So he asked me, also,
- 7:51Speaker 1: what radio station are you with? And I was like, oh,
- 7:53Speaker 1: Big ninety eight point seven and he was like, oh,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I used to do radio, and he did the whole thing,
- 7:57Speaker 1: like with the call letters of his old station.
- 7:59Speaker 3: I was like, you know, ever.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Forget Oh yeah, you know, we can't help it.
- 8:03Speaker 3: No, we can't help it.
- 8:04Speaker 4: It's almost like when you know, even when you have
- 8:06Speaker 4: like an itch on your back or something, and you
- 8:08Speaker 4: really can't function until you get it. Yes, that's how
- 8:11Speaker 4: radio people are when they tell you about working in radio.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yeah, we're kind of insufferable.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Can't help it.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but I love it. And he was just so
- 8:18Speaker 1: kind and he helped me with the process. He was
- 8:20Speaker 1: also very proud of me. I mean he didn't say
- 8:24Speaker 1: those words, but he seemed very proud of me because
- 8:26Speaker 1: I had all of my paperwork, including the copies of
- 8:29Speaker 1: everything already, and he looked so surprised and overjoyed that
- 8:34Speaker 1: I was a good passport application student.
- 8:37Speaker 3: And the picture I took for the passport.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Not bad, all right, Yeah, I mean you never know
- 8:43Speaker 1: how those things are going to turn out.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Overall, my experience at the Prairiewood Postal office for my
- 8:50Speaker 1: passport was super enjoyable. And now I get to leave
- 8:54Speaker 1: the country. I'm going on vacation at the end of
- 8:56Speaker 1: the year.
- 8:57Speaker 4: You know, Angie and I, if you combine us, make
- 9:00Speaker 4: one real adult human. Yeah, I have. I have never
- 9:05Speaker 4: had a passport in my life. Oh really no, I've
- 9:07Speaker 4: never needed one anytime I've left the country.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I was like young and I your parents took care
- 9:13Speaker 2: of that.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I got to just like go, yeah, yeah, I didn't
- 9:16Speaker 4: have to worry about it. And it's like, yeah, I've
- 9:19Speaker 4: never had to worry about it. Passport, which is I
- 9:21Speaker 4: guess kind of sad.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I had waited forever to do it because I don't
- 9:26Speaker 1: know that sounded like too much hard work. But once
- 9:29Speaker 1: you actually just like sit down, phill at the application
- 9:32Speaker 1: and go in, it's like, oh, this wasn't so bad,
- 9:34Speaker 1: which is what most of adulting is, isn't it?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Pretty much?
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 9:37Speaker 4: Well, any congratulations, that's an awesome little victory for you,
- 9:41Speaker 4: my little victory. Now, it was quite possibly the most
- 9:44Speaker 4: putrid Vikings game in the history of the Minnesota Vikings
- 9:48Speaker 4: yesterday Wolf but at Unhinged at Big Happy Hour yesterday.
- 9:53Speaker 4: The place was jacked. It was so packed, there were
- 9:56Speaker 4: so many people. It was such a good time, and
- 9:59Speaker 4: I just to thank everyone who stopped on out.
- 10:01Speaker 2: It was really really cool.
- 10:02Speaker 4: And somehow, some way, I'm gonna shoehorn in a food
- 10:05Speaker 4: thing for you. I have got a leftover bowl of
- 10:09Speaker 4: build your own mac at Unhinged, which I've gone down
- 10:12Speaker 4: this rabbit hole of I will try every single thing
- 10:15Speaker 4: on that list, and we're gonna knock another one off
- 10:17Speaker 4: the list today.
- 10:18Speaker 3: What did you add to your macaroni and cheese this time?
- 10:21Speaker 4: So? I did Crispy Chicken last time. Yeah, so I've
- 10:24Speaker 4: done this. This is so sad. I've done the sausage,
- 10:27Speaker 4: I've done the bacon, I've done the crispy chicken and
- 10:32Speaker 4: the pork. We have grilled chicken this time.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Okay, you're going a little healthier with its.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I love it.
- 10:40Speaker 3: I have so much fomo.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yesterday was like the one happy hour I had to miss. Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 1: and you let me know the place is packed and
- 10:48Speaker 1: jump in.
- 10:49Speaker 3: It was man, the fomo was real.
- 10:52Speaker 1: That's okay, we do it again next week Thursdays.
- 10:55Speaker 2: That's right.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Of one of the biggest football games of the season
- 11:03Speaker 4: for our n DSU Bison. Two powerhouse FCS programs, NDSU
- 11:08Speaker 4: and SDSU, they collide and what has become, in my opinion,
- 11:12Speaker 4: one of college football's fiercest rivalries. I mean, you have,
- 11:17Speaker 4: you know, for Division one FBF schools, you have Michigan
- 11:21Speaker 4: and Ohio State. You've got the Gophers and the Wisconsin
- 11:26Speaker 4: Badgers have like the longest running rivalry in college football.
- 11:30Speaker 4: You also have the NDSU Bison Versity jack Rabbits. As
- 11:34Speaker 4: they've been playing each other for one hundred They've played
- 11:37Speaker 4: each other one hundred and eighteen times or something.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Crazy like that.
- 11:40Speaker 3: That is crazy.
- 11:41Speaker 4: And they started the Marker Trophy back in two thousand
- 11:45Speaker 4: and of four. And you know, it's not just a
- 11:48Speaker 4: game for bragging rights. I think both teams kind of realize,
- 11:52Speaker 4: you know, this has such an implication on the playoffs
- 11:55Speaker 4: for these two teams that you know, dominate, and they're
- 11:57Speaker 4: always kind of one and two every single year.
- 11:59Speaker 3: So what are they right now? Who's one, who's two?
- 12:02Speaker 2: One and two? The Bison are one. That's right. I
- 12:04Speaker 2: just wanted to Yeah, that's right, all right, So you
- 12:06Speaker 2: never know what's going to happen.
- 12:07Speaker 4: I mean, this really is kind of the big game
- 12:10Speaker 4: of the year for the Bison, which this would be
- 12:12Speaker 4: the second time I've gotten to be a part of,
- 12:14Speaker 4: you know, the North Dakota South Dakota kind of rivalry
- 12:17Speaker 4: for these two college football teams.
- 12:19Speaker 2: This will be your first, uh kind of time for
- 12:21Speaker 2: this rivalry, right Andrew.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Yeah, And I'm excited because if there's one thing I love, it's.
- 12:27Speaker 2: A rival It's the best. It's why we love sports.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it's why.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I mean, we've got I'm an Eagles fan, like for
- 12:33Speaker 1: professional football, and we've got someone we work with who's
- 12:35Speaker 1: a Cowboys fan. Oh yeah, and I like him except
- 12:39Speaker 1: for when it's our matchup between the Engle and the Cowboys.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Rival and one thing we do on our mind you
- 12:45Speaker 4: of Sam Neederman, the voice of the NDSU Bison. He
- 12:47Speaker 4: will be in studio to day a little bit after
- 12:51Speaker 4: eight thirty, and we have started doing this really fun
- 12:54Speaker 4: thing with him where we ask him, oh, I'm sorry, Wambam,
- 12:57Speaker 4: Thank you. Sam is brought to you by Gateway Chevrolet.
- 12:59Speaker 4: We've done this one thing with him this year where he,
- 13:02Speaker 4: you know, other than being a coach on the team
- 13:05Speaker 4: or a player on the team or someone directly kind
- 13:08Speaker 4: of in their locker room every day, he's about as
- 13:11Speaker 4: close to the Bison as we can get here on
- 13:14Speaker 4: Big ninety eight point seven. He really gets behind the
- 13:17Speaker 4: scenes in an inside scoop and he gets to talk
- 13:18Speaker 4: to players and you know, travel with the team and
- 13:21Speaker 4: stuff like that. And we've done something really fun this
- 13:23Speaker 4: year for Wambam, Thank you Sam, where we have him
- 13:27Speaker 4: predict the score, and it is I would say impressive
- 13:31Speaker 4: how close he is most of the time. He's always
- 13:36Speaker 4: sort of around the he's in the same ballpark.
- 13:39Speaker 3: I guess, yeah, for sure.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I'm excited to hear what his prediction is regarding this
- 13:45Speaker 1: rivalry because clearly we want the Bison to win. So
- 13:49Speaker 1: he's not gonna say that the Bison are going to
- 13:51Speaker 1: fall to the what are they?
- 13:52Speaker 3: The Jack rap with that not?
- 13:53Speaker 4: I mean that would be kind of funny. No, obviously
- 13:56Speaker 4: he would never do that might be hilarious or he
- 13:58Speaker 4: came in and did that.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I will say this based on mascot alone buys in
- 14:02Speaker 1: versus Jack grab it.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right, okay, Jack grab it Bye.
- 14:06Speaker 4: My wife would pick NDSU just on mascot alone. That's
- 14:09Speaker 4: how she comly picks her teams. But I did get
- 14:12Speaker 4: a little sneak peek from Sam. I was asking him
- 14:15Speaker 4: yesterday like, oh, hey, you're ready to come in tomorrow,
- 14:17Speaker 4: blah blah, And I kind of talked him into letting
- 14:21Speaker 4: me know his score prediction for today.
- 14:24Speaker 2: How d I know?
- 14:25Speaker 4: I'm sorry and it's big. So wait until you see
- 14:28Speaker 4: what Sam says about this game later on today for
- 14:31Speaker 4: Wan Band, Thank you Sam. Brought to you by Gateway
- 14:33Speaker 4: Chevrolet was a really cool story that came from Drake.
- 14:39Speaker 4: I like when celebrities do things like this.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Some kid who's a fan of his DM Drake asking
- 14:46Speaker 1: for a senior quote and to this band's disbelief. Drake
- 14:51Speaker 1: actually messaged him back with a senior quote that he
- 14:54Speaker 1: could use, but it was actually more of like a
- 14:57Speaker 1: rap verse a senior quote.
- 14:59Speaker 2: And say, well, rhyme? Did he give him right?
- 15:01Speaker 1: And he said, listen, maybe that's too long, but here
- 15:04Speaker 1: you go. And so the fan was like, I'm gonna
- 15:06Speaker 1: convince them to let me use the entire thing. But
- 15:10Speaker 1: it did have me thinking about senior quotes. What was
- 15:15Speaker 1: your senior quote, Gabe, because here I didn't have a
- 15:17Speaker 1: senior quote because a little bit about me is that
- 15:21Speaker 1: I'm vain and you'd never know it by how i'd
- 15:24Speaker 1: be leaving the house these days. But back in high
- 15:26Speaker 1: school I was a little bit more vain. And when
- 15:28Speaker 1: it was time to take our senior photos, I did
- 15:32Speaker 1: not because my eyebrows were not done and I am
- 15:36Speaker 1: a hairy brod. I had like a unibrow going and
- 15:39Speaker 1: I was like, I can't take a pin shirt like this.
- 15:41Speaker 1: And I never did the retake. So in the senior
- 15:44Speaker 1: section of the year book, I'm nowhere to be found.
- 15:48Speaker 1: And so I did not have a senior quote.
- 15:50Speaker 4: I know that you that is a crazy story. Okay,
- 15:53Speaker 4: we're not you at gloss over there. That is insane.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Yes, well I'm insane.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I don't no, you know me, I'm a crazy broad.
- 16:02Speaker 1: But Gabe, what was your senior quote?
- 16:05Speaker 4: My senior quote was I spent twelve thousand, five hundred
- 16:11Speaker 4: and fifty five hours working for this handshake and a
- 16:15Speaker 4: piece of paper.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Now.
- 16:16Speaker 4: I told that to our boss yesterday and my wife
- 16:21Speaker 4: and they both went, you.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Know, at different points during the day.
- 16:25Speaker 4: One of them was at like ten am and the
- 16:26Speaker 4: other one was at like six and they.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Both went, oh, yeah, that that sounds very Gabe, like, yeah, that.
- 16:33Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I don't get it, Honey, you gotta be more self aware.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I don't understand.
- 16:41Speaker 3: It's very Gabe cod.

- 16:45Speaker 4: Yeah, anyway, I wanted to know, Hey, what were some
- 16:47Speaker 4: of your senior quotes? If you remember them, let us know.

- 17:14Speaker 4: heads are falling off. That sounds like some rock lyrics.

- 17:27Speaker 4: it's been real and it's been fun, but it's never
- 17:31Speaker 4: been real fun. And then finally I like this one

- 17:39Speaker 4: who you are and do it on purpose. I think

- 18:53Speaker 4: bras from what I kind of gather, the most bras
- 18:56Speaker 4: she has ever been able to collect and donate for
- 18:59Speaker 4: Bras on Big.

- 19:18Speaker 4: of bras.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Yes, takes, You're so cute. And by the way, almost
- 19:21Speaker 1: three hundred bras. Corwin is donating ten dollars for each
- 19:26Speaker 1: one of those bras to Bras on Big, and of
- 19:29Speaker 1: course that benefits essential health. They provide comfort items to
- 19:33Speaker 1: patients that are going through cancer treatment. They're trying to
- 19:36Speaker 1: make it easy as easy and comfortable as they can
