- 0:07Speaker 1: his podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simone show on WR. Well,
- 0:14Speaker 2: let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 0:18Speaker 2: seven ten is the number, and let's go to Bob
- 0:20Speaker 2: in Connecticut. Bob, how you doing, Mark?
- 0:24Speaker 3: I'm doing just fine. I would like to say that
- 0:27Speaker 3: I think Donald Trump has surpassed Et Barnes as the
- 0:34Speaker 3: great showman he was, and the show he put on
- 0:38Speaker 3: the other night was the greatest show on earth.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Well, it was very good. Not easy to talk for
- 0:43Speaker 2: two hours and they'll hold everybody's attention, but he did
- 0:46Speaker 2: longest day of the Union ever, two hours. I think
- 0:50Speaker 2: that we didn't get the final number. I think it's
- 0:52Speaker 2: about thirty six million side.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Not a minute afore them.
- 0:56Speaker 2: No, it was pretty good. It held there was attention.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Now you go along deliberately for one its strategy. Normally
- 1:04Speaker 2: the rebuttal from the Democrats, the rebuttal speech starts about
- 1:07Speaker 2: ten to fifteen, but he went really long to about eleven.
- 1:13Speaker 2: So the rebuttal didn't happen about eleven fifteen, which means
- 1:15Speaker 2: very few people saw it. Most people are gone by
- 1:18Speaker 2: eleven o'clock. They want to go to bed or do
- 1:20Speaker 2: something else. But let's go to Erin in Indianapolis. Erin,
- 1:24Speaker 2: how you doing, good morning?
- 1:26Speaker 4: Mark?
- 1:27Speaker 2: I want to talk about this raid on mar A Lago.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Now, the supposedly they're firing all the FBI agents that
- 1:35Speaker 1: were involved in that, but then those agents involved were
- 1:38Speaker 1: saying they had no choice, they have just following orders.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, well you could use the Mark Kelly rule. You're
- 1:45Speaker 2: not supposed to obey illegal orders. And it was a
- 1:48Speaker 2: very questionable raid. But I don't know, you got to
- 1:54Speaker 2: I understand what you're saying. You don't want to fire
- 1:56Speaker 2: the guys just following orders, but I have a feeling
- 1:59Speaker 2: it was such a leezy, dirty, ugly, unethical raid. A
- 2:04Speaker 2: feeling that the Merrick Garland and Jack Smith and Christopher
- 2:08Speaker 2: Ray they probably hand picked some agents close to them
- 2:11Speaker 2: to go do this. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 2:14Speaker 2: how you doing, good morning, Mark?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Yes, Mike, it was interesting seeing the eighty year old
- 2:21Speaker 1: Vince McMahon driving like a knucklehead. But down here in Florida,
- 2:26Speaker 1: that's the way they drive, these.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Eighty year olds.
- 2:28Speaker 1: They do honishing that anybody gets anywhere alive.
- 2:32Speaker 2: But the way I thought, those old people in Florida
- 2:34Speaker 2: drove real slow.
- 2:36Speaker 1: They they they drive slow, but dangerously. You know.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Try getting on a highway.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And the guy's doing twenty five miles an hour because
- 2:44Speaker 1: you know, and it's just you know, and they're expecting
- 2:46Speaker 1: the semi truck in that lane to get.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Over for them.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It's it's terrible. And they, you know, they know, nobody
- 2:52Speaker 1: knows when to go. They get to a four way
- 2:53Speaker 1: intersection and all they do is waves to each other,
- 2:55Speaker 1: no you go, no you go, no you go. It's
- 2:57Speaker 1: like the old chipp and Dale Chipmunk.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Cardtoon from Warner Brothers. And they're awful and it's so bad.
- 3:04Speaker 5: You know, Google Maps as a new part of it
- 3:07Speaker 5: that tells them why they went to where they're going.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Well, you know, for all these eighty year olds down there,
- 3:16Speaker 2: nothing personal. But most of your people in Florida got
- 3:18Speaker 2: nothing to do. You're not working, you're retired, you got
- 3:20Speaker 2: nowhere to go. There seems to be a hell of
- 3:21Speaker 2: a lot of traffic for people that have nowhere to
- 3:23Speaker 2: go and don't need to be driving.
- 3:25Speaker 4: It's so true.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You couldn't it's amazing. They're just wandering around on their
- 3:30Speaker 1: cell phones doing everything but driving.
- 3:32Speaker 2: And where are you in Florida.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I'm in Port Saint Lucy. It's about forty miles go
- 3:37Speaker 1: through the Palm Beaches.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Oh okay, so you got you got the East coast.
- 3:42Speaker 2: You got a lot of traffic. Right when you go
- 3:43Speaker 2: to Palm Beach, traffic is brutal.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Right, yes, And Port Saint Lucy has become the largest
- 3:48Speaker 1: I think it's one of the largest cities in the state.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Now it's growing exponentially in just a short time.
- 3:54Speaker 5: I've been here.
- 3:56Speaker 1: The population is booming like crazy, and none of them
- 3:59Speaker 1: can drive.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Mike, thanks for calling. You know, it's
- 4:01Speaker 2: funny if you study the history of Florida and you
- 4:03Speaker 2: back the fifties, Miami. Everybody was in Miami.
- 4:06Speaker 4: That's it.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Then in the sixties and they start moving up to
- 4:09Speaker 2: Fort Lauderdale. Then Fort Lauderdale got very busy. Then in
- 4:13Speaker 2: the seventies they start all moving to Boca Ratan, which
- 4:17Speaker 2: is north. They keep moving north, and then it was
- 4:19Speaker 2: Boka Ratan. Now Palm Beach became like the hottest place.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Then well then now they start moving to Jupiter that's
- 4:25Speaker 2: north of Pombe. Now they're all in Jupiter. That became
- 4:28Speaker 2: really busy. Now Portland Saint Lucie about to become the
- 4:30Speaker 2: biggest sea. They keep going north. At the rate they're going,
- 4:35Speaker 2: they're gonna be back here in New York in about
- 4:37Speaker 2: twenty years. They'll if they keep going to the next
- 4:40Speaker 2: city north, they'll be back. Let's go to Anthony and Edison. Anthony,
- 4:43Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 4:45Speaker 6: Heywre doing Mark, great job as usual. Hey, we need
- 4:48Speaker 6: to get Trump to a zing old helicopter Mikey shuttle here.
- 4:51Speaker 6: You know, she's got to get their priority street. See,
- 4:54Speaker 6: Trump's gotta tell her, Hey, instead of getting the way
- 4:56Speaker 6: my ice agent is doing the job to do propably
- 4:58Speaker 6: supposed to be doing. I was just I'm promising you
- 5:01Speaker 6: New Jersey residence a tax breaker of like twenty thirty
- 5:04Speaker 6: or by the time your first damn term is over.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you know he's studying New Jersey government. It's besides
- 5:10Speaker 2: all the corruption, there's just so much waste in there.
- 5:13Speaker 2: They're just wasting money. Your tax bill could be cutting
- 5:15Speaker 2: half in one second in New Jersey. Just stop all
- 5:19Speaker 2: the waste and the fraud and the bloat. It's so easy.
- 5:23Speaker 2: You don't even need elon musk. Just anybody, any accountant
- 5:26Speaker 2: could come in and do it in about five minutes
- 5:28Speaker 2: and then cut the tax bill in half. Let's go
- 5:31Speaker 2: to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing?
- 5:33Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark? Can you hear me better now?
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yeah? Now you're good?
- 5:37Speaker 4: All right, I'm believe it or not. In my bedroom,
- 5:40Speaker 4: I have an old fashioned hard wired landline that when
- 5:44Speaker 4: all else fails, it works. Mark. Yesterday you were speaking
- 5:48Speaker 4: to that gentleman from Jersey, from Long Swamp, and he
- 5:52Speaker 4: was talking about wild animals near his house and everything.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he eats a possum and he has a wood
- 5:57Speaker 2: stove to hit his place.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Speaking of possums at night, I have raccoons and possums
- 6:05Speaker 4: that come in my yard. Now, the possums, yeah, square business, Mark,
- 6:11Speaker 4: I have. By the way, they were introduced the possums
- 6:15Speaker 4: by uh uh mayor Bloomberg because he thought they would
- 6:19Speaker 4: control the mice and rat population. Mice and rats one
- 6:24Speaker 4: run much faster than possums. They come in my yard
- 6:27Speaker 4: at night looking for dead things to eat because they're
- 6:30Speaker 4: known as the garbage clean exactly, Mark, speaking about the
- 6:39Speaker 4: snowball AsSalt on the cops. Uh, Mark, you could actually
- 6:44Speaker 4: if you get hit in the eye with an ice
- 6:45Speaker 4: ball or snowball, you could get a detached rat. You
- 6:49Speaker 4: could get premature cataracts and everything that is bad news.
- 6:53Speaker 4: You could you could actually lose your your eye.
- 6:56Speaker 2: And I remember years ago there was that football fight
- 6:59Speaker 2: was too football team. The fans were thrown at the
- 7:01Speaker 2: other team and they hit a coach and blinded him.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Not because when I recently I had to have cataract surgery.
- 7:09Speaker 4: And before that, you in the doctor's office, they show
- 7:12Speaker 4: you like an informational video of how cataracts for either
- 7:17Speaker 4: from old age or there was a woman who was
- 7:20Speaker 4: a young woman and she was playing volleyball and she
- 7:23Speaker 4: got hit in the face with the volleyball and she
- 7:28Speaker 4: got a premature cataract and they had to do surgery
- 7:31Speaker 4: on her. Mark. I believe that if another incident happens
- 7:36Speaker 4: with the police and Mayor mont Domi does him back
- 7:39Speaker 4: the cops like he did this last time, Jessica Tesh
- 7:44Speaker 4: has to give it up because she's gonna he's a
- 7:47Speaker 4: great person, Mark, but she's gonna lose the credibility with
- 7:51Speaker 4: the men and women in blue.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Well and men and women Blue are too thrilled with
- 7:55Speaker 2: her to begin with. But that's another story. But convincent,
- 7:58Speaker 2: great call. Uh we come back.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Oh.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Actually normally be Jimmy Fayla every Thursday. He's with us.
- 8:04Speaker 2: But he's not feeling well. He's got that thing that's
- 8:07Speaker 2: going around that everybody. So he doesn't sound too good today.
- 8:09Speaker 2: But we'll take some calls. If you want a call,
- 8:12Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next eight hundred three two, one
- 8:15Speaker 2: zero seven ten
