- 2:12www.worldwidesportsradio.com. The Oilers and Panthers will
- 2:20face off in a Stanley Cup finals rematch from last year, a series
- 2:25the Panthers won in seven games. It is the 12th time in NHL
- 2:30history that there is a Stanley Cup rematch and that the first
- 2:34time since 2008 and 2009 when the Penguins faced off against
- 2:39the Red Wings. Placed in back-to-back years.
- 2:43Connor McDavid leads the NHL playoffs with 26 points, six
- 2:46goals, 12 assists, including nine points in five games in the
- 2:49Western Conference finals. The Oilers have seven different
- 2:52players with 10 or more points in this postseason and nine
- 2:57different players who have scored four or more goals.
- 3:01The Panthers have two players, Alexander Barkoff and Sam
- 3:05Reinhart that have that are Selkie Trophy finalists this
- 3:10year. The Panthers have the best
- 3:12penalty kill in the playoffs at 87.9% and lead the team or lead
- 3:19all teams in the playoffs with 812 hits over 100 more than the
- 3:25Oilers have had. The Oilers will have home ice
- 3:29advantage in the series and are the betting favorites at -130 to
- 3:34win the Stanley Cup. Obviously they're going to
- 3:36Edmonton the the little nudge because Edmonton last year fell
- 3:41short in seven games. And you look at it and I want to
- 3:45say something about the Florida Panthers.
- 3:47They're built to win championships.
- 3:49They had a Brad Marshant at the trade deadline.
- 3:52Now you have a healthy Matthew Kachuk.
- 3:54They have one of the best old, older veteran goaltenders and
- 3:57Bob Rodski. I mean, this team is built and
- 4:00then you just mentioned you have Bark Off and you have Reinhart.
- 4:03Reinhart, who was one of the best goal scorers last year and
- 4:06was a really big time goal scorer this year, and Barkhoff
- 4:09is the captain of the Florida Panthers and one of the more
- 4:12underrated centers in all of hockey.
- 4:15This is a stack team with a tremendous amount of talent and
- 4:18they have one of the best defensive players in all of
- 4:20hockey. So it's not like you sit here
- 4:22and you say, well, the Florida Panthers don't deserve to be
- 4:25here. They absolutely deserve to be
- 4:27here. But as good and as talented as
- 4:30the Florida Panthers stand out to be, the best player in the
- 4:33world is Connor McDavid. It's not even an argument.
- 4:36He's he's the fastest, he's the strongest, He's the more, he's
- 4:40one of the most talented players all around we've seen in the
- 4:43NHL. Reminds me of a faster Mario
- 4:47Lemieux. That's the type of player he is.
- 4:49Strong upper body strength, can put the puck in many different
- 4:52ways in the net. Uses his speed to really a
- 4:56block, you know, block defenseman or block defensive
- 4:59offensive players to get to the puck.
- 5:01He's a sensational player. Dry Sidle, I think is one of the
- 5:04top three top four players in all of hockey as well.
- 5:08He is a sensational player and obviously one of the best German
- 5:11players we've ever seen come out in NHL history.
- 5:14He is a sensational talent. The, the, the team, the Edmonton
- 5:18Oilers with, with Knobloch as a young coach in the league.
- 5:21He's been sensational since he's taken over for Edmonton
- 5:25back-to-back championship games and, and, and yeah, obviously
- 5:29Western Conference championships and Stanley Cup championships
- 5:33and, and this team is so good up and down, offensive intensively.
- 5:37And if skinners playing the way he has been playing throughout
- 5:41the Dallas series, they're going to be a hard get.
- 5:43I, I really think Edmonton is going to play a lot better than
- 5:46he did last. And how could you play a lot
- 5:48better than you did? We're going to a Game 7, but I
- 5:50think Skinner was not as good last year as he has been this
- 5:55year. He's been sensational and I
- 5:57think the Florida Panthers are just loaded.
- 5:59They're absolutely loaded, even more loaded than they were last
- 6:02year. Maybe a little bit less
- 6:04defensively. But when you have Bob Rotsky,
- 6:06who's 100% healthy and he's playing as well as he's played,
- 6:10especially against Carolina, they're going to be a hard out
- 6:12too. This is probably the last time
- 6:15we're going to see Edmonton and Florida here and the reason why
- 6:19is there's going to be a lot of Panthers that are going to be
- 6:21free agents at the end of the season.
- 6:22And Edmonton, as good as they are talent wise, if they don't
- 6:26get over the hump this time this year, I could see dry side.
- 6:30Although one of these these other players not, I think it's
- 6:33what what's his? Ryan Newton Hopkins.
- 6:35Yes, who could be traded in the offseason?
- 6:38Quite a few players that could be moving to other teams and
- 6:41other organizations if they can't get out of the hump, get
- 6:43over the hump this year. So there could be a lot of
- 6:45movement but for both of these teams and, and again, Florida
- 6:48has a tremendous farm system as well as Edmonton.
- 6:52So both organizations are set up very, very good in the future.
- 6:55But this might be the last time we see these two teams face off
- 6:58and and probably the next 5 to 10 years.
- 7:00Yeah, there was also a fatigue factor that's going to set in
- 7:03Florida. Three straight cups, Edmonton,
- 7:04two straight cups. That'll eventually, especially
- 7:06with the veteran players where I'm at.
- 7:07What's interesting with this matchup, I think, I think
- 7:09Edmonton in terms of the depth types that they have are built a
- 7:12lot differently than they have been in years past.
- 7:14Now the a lot of the players are the same, but they actually have
- 7:16their own physical wingers of their own too.
- 7:18Obviously Evander Kane's been there a while, but you have a
- 7:21guy like Victor Arvis and you like Johnny was mentioning last
- 7:23week, Corey Perry coming back to Corey Perry's played in a lot of
- 7:25Stanley Cups recently, including including one with Tampa.
- 7:29Ended up winning he. Needs to keep his hands away
- 7:31from women. That's what he needs to be.
- 7:33True. And I think that kind of veteran
- 7:35leadership again, how? Does he have another job?
- 7:37I was very surprised any organization took him.
- 7:40Off I I don't think they were able to find enough of the
- 7:41charges. A badger came too.
- 7:43He's a. Crazy manner came.
- 7:44Yeah, he got involved in that whole gambling scandal.
- 7:46I was in 22. Yeah, but what he does on the
- 7:48ice and what he does off the ice, he's crazy.
- 7:51And it's interesting because I think that's the match if you're
- 7:53going to have to play against when you're playing as these
- 7:55bigger wingers with Florida too. And they I'm curious to see with
- 7:58Noblock especially too, if he's going to be able to rotate that
- 8:01the way he is, because I think obviously McDavid and dry settle
- 8:05are going to play a lot in terms of the ice time.
- 8:07But rotating which wings go on Kachuk is going to be a very
- 8:10interesting match up or men Marshand as well, because they
- 8:12could play physical in their own rights too.
- 8:13And that's why I think this this Edmonton team is a little bit
- 8:15different than last year. They're not as power play and
- 8:17finesse reliant as they have to be.
- 8:18And they still have really good center depth like you're saying
- 8:20when Nugent Hopkins and defensive depth too is a lot
- 8:22better as well. Darnell Nurse is kind of a
- 8:24second pair defenseman now. And let's talk about at Coleman.
- 8:27Save your tears too. These are good depth pieces that
- 8:29I don't think they had as much of last year to a higher level.
- 8:32So I think this is going to be a very interesting series and the
- 8:34reason I didn't. Pick any last year.
- 8:36Yeah, last year was weird because it was Florida won the
- 8:38first three that Edmondson won the.
- 8:39Next, Bob Brodsky did not play well in the finals last year,
- 8:42and if he doesn't show up in the finals this year, it could be a
- 8:45long, long series for the Florida Panthers.
- 8:47They have tremendous amount of talent, they really do.
- 8:49And Matthew could Chuck, who's been up and down throughout the
- 8:52playoffs. Last year he was sensational.
- 8:54This year he's been up and down. He hasn't been as good.
- 8:57I think Matthew Kuchuk has to show up in this series.
- 8:59He's going to have to hit. He's going to have to put
- 9:01pressure on Conor McDavid. And we saw what Conor McDavid
- 9:04did to Team USA in that Frozen 4 or whatever the hell they
- 9:07played, Four Nations that they played.
- 9:10He was upset at Conor McDavid scoring the game-winning goal
- 9:12against Team USA. And I think he's got a lot to
- 9:15prove right now. United States hockey is growing
- 9:17as we've been speaking about, and Conor McDavid and Matthew
- 9:21could Chuck, you can argue the two best players from their
- 9:24nation, so it's going to be fun to watch.
- 9:25The other match up that I think Edmonton has to figure out is
- 9:28Zach Hyman's injury, obviously. So who's going to take over that
- 9:31kind of role? I think he was second or third
- 9:32on the team in in points this postseason as well.
- 9:35So if they can, if they can't get that depth scoring, it'll be
- 9:38very easy for Florida to be able to win this.
- 9:39But the second and third lines are really going to define this
- 9:41game because Florida could play many different combinations on
- 9:44the line, especially with the versatility too with a lot of
- 9:46guys that can play forward and center and wing.
- 9:49So Edmonton has to get those match ups to work, but I think
- 9:52they have a much deeper built team.
- 9:53They're not finessed. Like it's a lot like Tampa.
- 9:56Like Tampa used to be all finessed and then it took a
- 9:57while to get those death pieces, then they got them, they won a
- 9:59Cup and I think Edmonton is in that same kind of boat.
- 10:02Yeah. So, Speedy, why don't you give
- 10:04yourself a breath, OK? I don't know why you have to go
- 10:07with like 1,000,000 words a minute.
- 10:09That's why you always lose breath because you're like, I'm
- 10:15sorry, go ahead. That's that's Speedy.
- 10:18Guys, ladies and gentlemen, the one I know.
- 10:21OK, I'm sorry. I just had to do that.
- 10:23I had to add that. Go ahead.
- 10:26Yeah, for like guys, for me, the depth of the Panthers, it might
- 10:32be better this year than it was last year with Marsh.
- 10:34And as a third line winger, you realize that's what he is for
- 10:38them. Like that's that's crazy.
- 10:41And obviously a penalty killer. They're they're defensive lines.
- 10:45Eckblatt and Forsling. We don't talk about Forsling a
- 10:47lot. He's not a big points getter
- 10:49necessarily, but that guy is incredible.
- 10:52He is great on the puck. He's great moving the puck.
- 10:56And then you have these assassins on the other side.
- 10:59Whoever they put with him, whether it's an even strength or
- 11:01the power play, I'm really impressed with them defensively.
- 11:05Now The thing is you have the highest elite talent with
- 11:10McDavid and Dry Seidel on the other side, and last year they
- 11:14didn't have enough depth to stay with Florida.
- 11:17I don't think they have enough depth this year.
- 11:19I really don't without hymen, I don't think they have enough
- 11:22depth. Again, I think that's the
- 11:24problem. They don't, they can't unless
- 11:26they have, you know, McDavid and Dry Sidle just take over and
- 11:32Babrofsky has another bad series.
- 11:34I don't. I don't see it.
- 11:35I just don't. I think Florida is the better
- 11:37team overall, but you never know when you have these superior.
- 11:41So was Dallas. Dallas They.
- 11:43Do special things. Dallas had the the best team
- 11:46throughout the season besides Winnipeg with the talent that
- 11:49they have from the first line to the fourth line.
- 11:51I was shocked that Edmonton threw him around like a rag
- 11:55doll. It really kind of McDavid, when
- 11:57he takes over games, it's it doesn't matter how much more
- 12:00talented the other team is. He stands out from everybody
- 12:04else. And and that's the thing about
- 12:06Florida. Florida has a tremendous amount
- 12:08of talent. We forget about Alexander
- 12:10Barkoff or Sam Reinhart. These two guys are great
- 12:13offensive, talented players. But you forget Matthew Kuchuk's
- 12:16there, Brad Marshant's there. This is this is a loaded, loaded
- 12:21hockey team. But that's how much better
- 12:24Connor McDavid is to everybody else on that team.
- 12:27And again, this is really, I think Matthew Kuchuk is going to
- 12:31be matched up against Connor McDavid and you're going to see
- 12:34that a lot. This match up is going to be
- 12:36connected because we saw that in the the, the frozen, whatever
- 12:41the hell it is. I don't care about what it calls
- 12:43it. I call it Frozen 4.
- 12:45It doesn't really matter. The fact is, is that Matthew
- 12:48Kachuk really was upset about losing to Connor McDavid and
- 12:52Team Canada in the overtime. They were so close to winning
- 12:55that game and they choked. And I think this is more
- 12:59important than that. And we have the Olympics, the
- 13:01Winter Olympics next year. I think if if Matthew Kachuk
- 13:04wants to prove himself, he comes out a winner and beats Conor
- 13:07McDavid and out plays Conor McDavid and takes Conor McDavid
- 13:10out in some of this series. If he does that, Conor McDavid
- 13:14showed you why he's the best player in the world.
- 13:15Dallas is a good defensive team. They have one of the best
- 13:17goalies in the league and the guy scored six goals in that
- 13:20series. If you let Conor McDavid, you
- 13:23know, sees that sees the series and play as fast as he played
- 13:27against Dallas, you don't stand a chance against Conor McDavid
- 13:30and Dry saddle because Dry Saddle and Conor McDavid are two
- 13:33of the best power play players in the league.
- 13:36So. You said it right there, power
- 13:38play players, right? And and that's going to be the
- 13:40story of this series. Can Florida stay out-of-the-box?
- 13:43They have guys that like to mix it up.
- 13:45Could Chuck likes to go in the box.
- 13:46We know that about him. Panthers are 87.9% throughout
- 13:50the playoffs, so defensively I know.
- 13:55I know Look there. It's it's look.
- 13:57They're two best teams, right? This is what you want to see.
- 14:00This is gonna. Be I thought.
- 14:01Fireworks just like. I thought it was last year.
- 14:03I would have probably would have liked to see Dallas versus
- 14:07Florida because I think Dallas has the talent that can compete.
- 14:12I mean, Dallas has the talent that can compete on all four
- 14:15lines against Florida. I just think that you look at
- 14:18Dry Sidling and McDavid, they plan 2 separate lines.
- 14:21They only play together on a power play.
- 14:22Sometimes they move them and they rotate them on on the line.
- 14:25If they're down by significant amount of points, you'll see Dry
- 14:28Sidle and McDavid play together very rare on A5 on five.
- 14:33But the problem with them is, is they're limited offensively
- 14:37after the first two lines and they get tired.
- 14:40You see it later in the game. Connor McDavid, if you look at
- 14:44his scoring, he scores in the 1st and the second more than he
- 14:47does in the third, because he's playing a lot of minutes.
- 14:51Yeah, he's playing tons and tons of minutes.
- 14:53And now you're playing against Florida.
- 14:55They have guys that are going to beat the hell out of you.
- 14:57And you're going to have to, you're going to have to
- 14:59withstand that beat. And Brad Marshant, he is a pain
- 15:02in the ass. He's like a flea.
- 15:04So, you know, he's going to get under their their noses.
- 15:07And I, I think it's going to be a hard task to beat a Florida
- 15:11Panther team that's better than they were last year.
- 15:13Better. They are better than they were
- 15:15last year. And the thing that made them so
- 15:17good? So last year they knocked the
- 15:19Rangers out on the way over to the cup and they the Rangers had
- 15:23a similar problem where their first two lines were really
- 15:25good, but then they had to face those third and 4th lines of
- 15:28Florida and they got just destroyed by the depth of
- 15:31Florida. Now the Rangers aren't anywhere
- 15:33close to what Edmonton is. And they're also bad in five on
- 15:36five compared to like most other good teams teams.
- 15:39We don't need to talk about the Rangers more than the one.
- 15:40Men, yeah, let's get off that. We got a lot more to get into.
- 15:43I don't want to talk about the Rangers.
- 15:45But that's what I'm saying is that kind of grinded out with
- 15:49all four lines over seven games. That's a lot to put up with if
- 15:54you're doing so many minutes like McDavid and Dry Settle are
- 15:57going to be doing. It's it's just a lot.
- 15:59The two of them are going to be, you know, double shifting all
- 16:02the time just to be able to be competent.
- 16:05And then we get laid in the series.
- 16:07We're going to see them kind of fade and that that's what
- 16:10happened. And I think it's going to.
- 16:11Happen. I'm not going to count out on
- 16:13Connor McDavid, but I think Florida is a heavy.
- 16:15Heavy. I think 6.
- 16:17I think 6. I think it goes 7 again, I think
- 16:19it goes 7 again. I just think Florida has the
- 16:22more depth and I think it's going to eventually catch up to
- 16:26Connor McDavid. But I'm not going to count on
- 16:28Connor McDavid. And don't be surprised if
- 16:30Tricidal has a better series than Connor McDavid.
- 16:33I wouldn't be. 1990 Last Cup for Edmonton, Marc Messier.
- 16:37By the way, if you look at Edmonton, you look at Dry
- 16:40Saddle. Dry Saddle has more goals in the
- 16:42playoffs than any player in the last six years.
- 16:45So that's all I'm going to say about that.
- 16:47And we haven't seen Dry Saddle yet explode in the playoffs.
- 16:50Lost his father a couple of weeks ago.
- 16:51Yes, he did. Yes, he did.
- 16:52And scored the game-winning goal like that night.
- 16:55This is one of the greatest players in the world I don't
- 16:57think enough people know about. Him German.
- 16:59And he's German, that's the crazy thing.
- 17:01He's not even. Canadian, he gets overshadowed a
- 17:03little bit obviously with McDavid there, but I mean, he's,
- 17:07I mean, what would you say top five?
- 17:09Easy top five top three you can argue top three you can argue
- 17:13top three so you. Could so this is a team with two
- 17:16like this is like back in the day with Malkin and Crosby.
- 17:19I think I was arguing with Jeff today.
- 17:22The three best players in the league right now, and you can
- 17:24argue it, it's Connor McDavid, Austin Matthews, and then I
- 17:29would say dry sidle. So I would say those are the
- 17:32three best players in the league.
- 17:34Austin Matthews is special, so big, strong, fast and you can
- 17:38argue even though Austin Matthews was the captain of
- 17:41United States team, I think Keith Kachuk, I mean Keith
- 17:45Kachuk, Matthew Kachuk is the the leader of that United States
- 17:48team. You can see that.
- 17:49Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, we call the new segment, I mean
- 17:53new segment, next segment, Tic Tac, no Tic.
- 17:58Tac Morris right in the butt. We get the prizes cheap because
- 18:03they've stolen. No.
- 18:06No, no, no, no, no. Now here's your hose.
- 18:12Fish wears panties. Fish wears panties.
- 18:20That's a good one. Not true.
- 18:23But do you wear panties? Briefs bro, Are you sure?
- 18:26Boxer briefs every time. You know, because Speedy caught
- 18:29you wearing panties. No, I didn't.
- 18:31And we were out at the, you know, the Super Bowl.
- 18:33He so excited you were. Wearing panties fish.
- 18:35I wouldn't stare at your that flat.
- 18:36What are you? Talking about you fell asleep.
- 18:38You were. Felling.
- 18:39To be fair, he did fall asleep like Frank.
- 18:41I was about to sit in bed. Yeah, he did.
- 18:43Yes, she did. So you saw him on dressing, did
- 18:45you not? Saw his panties.
- 18:47He saw his panties. No, I didn't.
- 18:48He was downstairs. Don't lie.
- 18:50You were looking for Job. You were.
- 18:52You were. You were annoyed that the three
- 18:53of them were yapping all night. No.
- 18:55First of all, I fell asleep before everybody because
- 18:57everybody was just yapping. It wasn't me.
- 18:59I wasn't there. You were down.
- 19:01Where was it? Where was?
- 19:03Yeah, I was. I was in.
- 19:04I went to bed pretty quick. I went to bed at like I think it
- 19:08was 11:00 because I was tired because I, I did a lot of the
- 19:10interviewing and then I went to bed.
- 19:12And then you were downstairs yapping.
- 19:13I heard you. I was not talking really much
- 19:15at. All Yes, you were.
- 19:16You all were yapping about carpeting.
- 19:18The Goody, mostly, and Tommy. The Goody and Tommy.
- 19:21But Speedy was involved in the conversation.
- 19:23A great conversations, you just missed out.
- 19:25On it, no I I don't need. To we got Speedy here to take us
- 19:28on Tic Tac No for a ride speedy we have to defeat you once again
- 19:34but. Blow my back out.
- 19:36What you. Got tonight.
- 19:37All right, so we got Speedy. We'll start in the NBA Finals.
- 19:40Is that your cucumber or are you happy to see me?
- 19:42So the obviously the OKC Thunder are in the Finals, obviously
- 19:46going by a different name, the Seattle SuperSonics.
- 19:48Back then in the 1970s, they played back to another team,
- 19:52back-to-back in the NBA Finals that also now has a different
- 19:56name in their current team. So who did they play?
- 19:59Say that one more time. So it's so it's another team
- 20:02that changed their name. It was a different name when
- 20:06they played in the 70s and now they go by.
- 20:07It's the same city, different name.
- 20:10The bullets. It is the Bullets that's
- 20:12correct. So they they those are their
- 20:14only two championships for both teams.
- 20:16The Bullets won the first round in 1970.
- 20:18I think I was watching the the Celtic, the Celtic city and and
- 20:22that was brought up about nobody even remembers who was in the
- 20:27finals those those years, the SuperSonics and the Bullets
- 20:30because they were the NBA wasn't even that popular at that time.
- 20:35So they didn't even air the finals?
- 20:37Yes, like until like a few days. Later, Yeah, I was watch.
- 20:40That's what I that's what they said.
- 20:41That's that's probably where you got that, didn't you Coach Fish?
- 20:45Actually, no, I haven't watched. It Oh, it's great.
- 20:47I'm not done. I'm watching.
- 20:49I'm in. I think I'm in episode 5.
- 20:51It's really good. I ate the Celtics too, but it's
- 20:54fantastic. It's really, really good.
- 20:56So just let you guys know. All right, let's go to some
- 20:58hockey. Well, I took the center.
- 20:59Go ahead, Speedy. Yep, so we'll go to some hockey.
- 21:02One of our interns was mentioning Conor McDavid being a
- 21:04con Smythe winner on a losing team.
- 21:06There's also been over the last 40 years 2 goaltenders that have
- 21:10been the con Smythe winners on losing teams.
- 21:12Name one of them. One guess, right?
- 21:16Yep, or. 2 guesses. You you each can get 2 guesses
- 21:19all. Right.
- 21:21So a goaltender. A goal.
- 21:22There were two goal tenders. Was Dominic Hashek one of?
- 21:26Them. Nope.
- 21:26Damn Brodeur. Nope.
- 21:30Grand Fjor. Nope, I don't even know any
- 21:35goalies. There.
- 21:37I got one. Yeah.
- 21:38Patrick Wah. No, I'm done.
- 21:42How about I want to say something that's stupid?
- 21:49It's probably you're probably not wrong fish, I know.
- 21:54I've got one, I've got one. I'll say 1 before.
- 21:57You've already, you already said.
- 21:58It, I know, but after you're done.
- 21:59Guesses. I I'll say it after you guys are
- 22:01done and we lose. Price.
- 22:05Nope. Java.
- 22:06I'm out and you get it. Mark, Andre Flurry.
- 22:32Nope. Hold on.
- 22:33Hold on. Eddie Belfort.
- 22:34No. All right.
- 22:35So one of them, one of them was Ron Hextall in 1987 and the
- 22:39other one, this was the more random one is for Anaheim, John
- 22:42Sebastian Gaguerre. That's what I remember.
- 22:44I remember him. He took them.
- 22:46He took them to the finals. 2003 they lost against Martin, Brodor
- 22:50and the Devils. I remember.
- 22:52That That's right. All right, so Speedy, you get
- 22:53this one. All right, let's go bottom left
- 22:58all. Right here we are.
- 23:05All right. Next question.
- 23:06All right, so you guys I will shift to some football.
- 23:08You guys were talking about the golf clap with the Madden and
- 23:11Saquon on the cover. They had John Madden on the
- 23:14cover for the 1st 10 years of that game or more.
- 23:17Madden O One was the first year they had a player on the cover
- 23:20who wasn't. Was it Eddie George?
- 23:24It is Eddie George. Oh.
- 23:25Yeah, that's right. Oh, fish is hot now, all right.
- 23:31Play with yourself, he's heating up.
- 23:32Play with yourself. He's off a goo Doo.
- 23:37All right, I'm. Going.
- 23:39My dog wants your Pussycat. I'll.
- 23:45Go down here. All right, let's go.
- 23:48All right, so we'll shift to some baseball now.
- 23:50So Kyle Rally is on a pace to hit over 40 home runs on the
- 23:53season right now. So it's the question is not who
- 23:57has the most for a guy that played catcher, that's Salvador
- 23:59Perez, but he was mostly at DH that year.
- 24:01So while playing the majority of his games at catcher, who has
- 24:06the record doing it with 42 home runs in 2003?
- 24:1442 home runs in 2003. Yes.
- 24:18So wait, what's what's the so we're saying record for catcher
- 24:21home? Run for for catcher if you
- 24:23played most of the year at catcher.
- 24:25So like Perez didn't. Perez technically has the
- 24:27record, but he played most of the year as a DH when he hit 48
- 24:30in 2021. Three.
- 24:32Yes, this guy did it in 2003, hitting 42 home runs while
- 24:35playing the majority of games at catcher I think.
- 24:38I'm going to guess, yeah. Pause, Rodriguez.
- 24:40No. Was Piazza done yet?
- 24:43No, he was still. He was still playing.
- 24:46He's still playing, so I don't think this is the right year.
- 24:48But didn't Todd Hundley hit 440 homers?
- 24:52He did. It was not that year, though.
- 24:54Damn it. I think he had 41.
- 24:58I'm just going to say it might be Otza.
- 24:59Nope, no, not. Go it was it's.
- 25:03Meeting No. Jabba's got to guess.
- 25:04Oh, he's got to go. 2003 that's a year graduated high school
- 25:22wasn't Javi Lopez. He's done.
- 25:26He's trying to think of power hitting catchers in 2003. 2003,
- 25:33everyone was on the yeah on the banned substance list
- 25:37eventually, right? So it could have been anybody
- 25:39really. Would it have been God?
- 25:48I'm a brave. I think it's Javi Lopez.
- 25:51It is very good Java. I was like, it's.
- 25:56Your team, You're a Braves fan. I was.
- 25:58Seeing I know that's why it immediately came to my head
- 26:01after, like you said, pugs and I was like, well, you know what?
- 26:04There was a year where he hit like 41 and he's like 40. 343
- 26:08home runs, 109 RBIs hit 328 that year.
- 26:12All right. And we win with that clinching
- 26:15answer, Java, great job. Java was trying to second guess
- 26:19himself at the talk to. Himself a hundred 100% because I
- 26:22was like, OK, Beyoncé, if he's still playing then Scoops did
- 26:26it. I was like, OK, well that here,
- 26:27like I remember towards the end of Javi's career, he somehow,
- 26:34whether we know it or not, but I was like, man, he I remember he
- 26:37hit a bunch of, I was like, was just talking about this the
- 26:40other day and I was like, I'm thinking, I tried to talk myself
- 26:43out of it though. You're right.
- 26:44You were awfully close. I was like, is he going to
- 26:46second guess his own team? You're you're a Braves fan, Like
- 26:49you're going to second guess your own team.
- 26:51All right, we call this a call to the pen.
- 26:54It's. Done.
- 26:56You can throw a strike on this pitch.
- 26:57It's not going to be my John. I was like jello right now.
- 27:00Just get it over the plate. I want him to swing.
- 27:02Last time I did that the guy hit one that hasn't landed yet.
- 27:04For a call to the pen. All right, so here we go with a
- 27:10call. Couch.
- 27:12This is our game, not in a game, but more like kind of a inside
- 27:17baseball as far as the experience of it.
- 27:21You know, not very few people were lucky enough to play
- 27:24professionally, even fewer for the Yankees.
- 27:26Even fewer got to share the bullpen with Mariano Rivera.
- 27:30So, Jabba, I don't know how it hasn't come up yet, but I've
- 27:33never asked you for any Mariano Rivera stories.
- 27:35And you can also throw in some stories from other great
- 27:37relievers you've shared the pen with.
- 27:39Let's hear some, Bud. Oh, MO.
- 27:42It was MO was just, it was interesting because you've seen
- 27:46it from afar. And you know, we always as as
- 27:50Yankees fans, we always knew there would be like one stretch
- 27:54of the season where he would blow like one or two saves and
- 27:56everybody was like, oh, he's done.
- 27:58He's done right. And I'll never forget because he
- 28:02was a catch partner of mine as well.
- 28:04And playing catch. It was, you know, hit you right
- 28:08in the chest. It was fine, like nothing.
- 28:11And then I'll never forget, Hark pulls me over and he's like,
- 28:15hey, stand in. And Hark was our bullpen coach
- 28:17at the time and who's still there to this day.
- 28:22Mind you, he was supposed to be taken number one overall, and
- 28:26they took a dude named Ken Griffey Junior.
- 28:28So I love you, Hark, but I think they made the right decision.
- 28:34And so like, I'm, I'm literally like I'm standing in because MO
- 28:38never threw like flat rounds when we played catch.
- 28:40Usually we would spin some stuff afterwards, but MO never did
- 28:45because he didn't really spin anything.
- 28:47And so I stood in one time and I finally realized, like people
- 28:53don't understand. You see it on TV.
- 28:54But then when you're actually standing 60 feet 6 from him,
- 28:58like the ball gets to you like this and then just goes boop and
- 29:03it's it's like it's literally coming at you right.
- 29:07And then it just makes like it just a left hand.
- 29:10And I stood in right-handed and left-handed.
- 29:13And it just amazes me. I mean, the only dude that ever
- 29:17owned MO was Marco Scudero. We all have that one dude and
- 29:22Marco owned him. And so this was, we were, it was
- 29:27a Tigers series and Victor Martinez took him deep, then
- 29:32Miggy took him or Miggy took him deep, then Victor took him deep
- 29:35and he blew 2 saves in a row. And so everybody thought, oh,
- 29:39he's done, He's done. And then finally being able to
- 29:42just stand in and see like how his ball moves when he does it.
- 29:49I was like, I don't know how he gives up a hit, but now I know
- 29:53because you know, you get to see it from afar and as a fan.
- 29:57And now you're like, oh, this makes sense because there's no
- 30:01chance. And he would just it was, it was
- 30:03crazy how he did it because wasn't a huge workout guy.
- 30:07What you know, his, his workouts were like basically his running
- 30:10was BP catching fly balls. He loved to play center field.
- 30:14That's how he blew out his ACL in Kansas City.
- 30:18And that's why he came back because he didn't want to go out
- 30:20on that because he was going to go out that year.
- 30:22And he was like, Nope, I'm not going to do it.
- 30:24And you know, it, it, it was funny too, because MO wasn't
- 30:28like the get together and me and MO, like there's a famous
- 30:33squabble between US and that people went crazy about, which
- 30:38is fine. I don't care.
- 30:39Like I'm always going to be me. I'm a grown ass man.
- 30:41Don't shush me as I'm talking to my family.
- 30:45Don't do that. I don't care if you're doing
- 30:47your farewell interview. I don't care.
- 30:49I'm talking to my family. Yeah, don't do it.
- 30:53I'm just going to tell you. And I was like, that's fine.
- 30:55I was like, I just told MO this is exactly what's happening.
- 30:58Afterwards, everybody blew it up and it is what it is because it
- 31:01happened in front of the media, which is fine, I don't care.
- 31:04But it it was. Cool to like.
- 31:06Towards the end, MO finally, like he was like, hey, let's get
- 31:12together and let's, let's do a dinner.
- 31:15First time he's ever done it. First time he's ever done it.
- 31:18And I was like, all right, yeah. What do you want me to do?
- 31:23And he was like, we'll get everybody together.
- 31:26I go, MO, that's your job. Like you're the leader of this
- 31:29bullpen. I go, I'm here just trying to
- 31:34get the ball to you. That's what I'm doing.
- 31:36And we'd had great guys with us. You know, we obviously had the
- 31:39Dini himself and David Robertson.
- 31:41We had Carrie Wood come over with us, you know, so we had we
- 31:46had a lot of great guys in in the bullpen and Marte and we
- 31:52even had Chan hope Park. It was one of the nasty.
- 31:54That'll be my next one, by the way.
- 31:58And so we're at the Westin Saint Francis in San Francisco and I
- 32:04know most paying for it. And so I'm like perfect.
- 32:08So we get we get in and the restaurants are I think it's a a
- 32:13Bobby Flay restaurant or one of those famous chefs.
- 32:16And so we're sitting in there and I'm like, all right, this is
- 32:19great, Like this is awesome. I love this.
- 32:21And it was like Japanese A5 Wagyu or whatever it's called.
- 32:28It was like $180 an ounce. I'm like, I'll have some of
- 32:33that. Boone Logan was on our team.
- 32:35I was in his wedding. Shout out to Boone.
- 32:37He's one of my favorite teammates I've ever had.
- 32:40And we're like, hey, we're not paying for it.
- 32:45So we we fired out 8 ounces of Japanese A5 Wagyu and I was just
- 32:50like, here you go. So $185 to Mariano Rivera.
- 32:54I mean $1000 steak. Yeah, it was $1000 steak.
- 32:57That don't mean anything to him. That guy was making millions and
- 33:00millions. I mean, at one point Mariano
- 33:02was. Making Dollars Steaks $1000
- 33:04Steak. Dude.
- 33:05Hey, and and then I be I became like the old guy and then it was
- 33:10like I took everybody out. I I think the, the biggest 1 I
- 33:14had that I took out with our bullpen guys.
- 33:18It was in Arizona and I think it was like 9800 bucks because
- 33:27they're just ordering whatever. And at the same time you're the
- 33:30old guy, right? Like you're the guy that's
- 33:31played for 10 years and you know, I Fogo de Chao, they got
- 33:35me a couple times, 7 in Minnesota.
- 33:38They got me a couple times, but that's one thing too, that like
- 33:42is, is a rite of passage and an honor for us in the bullpen is
- 33:47to take those guys out. And like a Rob bought my first
- 33:51suits and then when I would get young guys in in the bullpen,
- 33:55I'd be like, hey, I'm going to buy your first two suits.
- 33:58And it was just something that was passed on and it was
- 34:01something that I love about the game and how everybody asked me,
- 34:05do you miss it? I go, I don't miss the game per
- 34:08SE. I don't miss the game.
- 34:11I miss the camaraderie and the things that you do for one
- 34:13another and being able to, you know, make a difference and and
- 34:18know that that that means something to those kids.
- 34:21And you know, every, every former athlete that you hear
- 34:24that, you know, they all say I miss being in the locker room.
- 34:26I miss being with the guys. Yep.
- 34:28It's not that I miss the game like Tom Brady.
- 34:31Even Tom Brady just famously goes, you know, I just miss
- 34:34being around the guys when he when he talks about it.
- 34:37Of course, he probably could come back and still be better
- 34:39than half the quarterbacks in the league.
- 34:41Stop. You know, stop.
- 34:43Don't you think? Don't you think?
- 34:44No, I don't think he could come back.
- 34:45He'd be better than. No, not anymore.
- 34:48When you step away from football for this amount of time, I don't
- 34:51think you can come back and. Do well, I mean, Michael Jordan
- 34:54used to kill. Michael Jordan.
- 34:56Why does everybody keep stop comparing Michael Jordan to
- 34:59anybody? Michael Jordan is a different.
- 35:04Is the guy you would say for football?
- 35:06I I just think quarterback is different than playing the game
- 35:09of basketball. And Michael Jordan is a specific
- 35:13person, player, you know, that dominated his sport.
- 35:16It's like saying Muhammad Ali if he remember when he left.
- 35:20Michael Jordan couldn't play baseball.
- 35:21Just remember this. Muhammad Ali stepped away from
- 35:23boxing for five years. Remember that.
- 35:25He came back. He wasn't the same boxer.
- 35:28He really wasn't. He wasn't the same.
- 35:30You've seen a lot of guys play baseball that went to the
- 35:32military, come back and still do the same thing that they did.
- 35:34Well, I mean, I mean, I, it's, I mean, you want to argue that.
- 35:40We can argue that, but I, and I don't think you're wrong, but I,
- 35:43I just think when you look at the fact of Michael Jordan and
- 35:47you're comparing Michael Jordan to Tom Brady, I, I would never
- 35:49do that. And Tom Brady and Tom Brady is
- 35:52also 40 something. But how?
- 35:54How can you even compare that though honestly Because they're
- 35:582 multi facet sports right in in different skill sets.
- 36:02That's the same reason Michael Jordan is the greatest
- 36:05basketball player but then you put him on a baseball field.
- 36:08Look what happened. Well, I you said.
- 36:13I'm sorry we got Nick Goody just getting struggling to get in
- 36:15with a little bit of connection. He's going to be in here in a
- 36:17second to comment back on it. But Jabba, quickly you had
- 36:22something about Shanho Park you wanted to get off.
- 36:23Your channel, this nasty human being.
- 36:28He would legitimately it was. It was gross, but great, great
- 36:34teammate. What did he eat his own snot or
- 36:35something? And I've heard.
- 36:36No, he would literally like, so Goody will know this like in the
- 36:40back of like in the backside of our bullpen in the new stadium.
- 36:44They would always stack the Gatorade towels and like the gum
- 36:48and all the other stuff. Chan Ho would literally get in
- 36:52there early, would blow his nose in a towel and wait for somebody
- 36:58to like try and warm up and like grab a towel.
- 37:02Oh, that's. Disgusting.
- 37:02And they would like his and he would do it.
- 37:05He would snot rocket it. That's how COVID started, yeah.
- 37:09It's Korean, not Chinese. Stupid didn't.
- 37:13Say a little different. And then he would like, he had
- 37:17this, like it was like before Invisalign, but like this little
- 37:21chomper that he had and he would like eat with it.
- 37:26Then he would take it out, then eat more and then put it back
- 37:30in, like didn't brush his teeth, didn't do anything.
- 37:32It'd be like in the pen. And then, oh God, Roman, our
- 37:38bullpen catcher, he, he's, he's the best.
- 37:43Love him. He's awesome.
- 37:44He's a scout now, but literally, Chan Ho would throw.
- 37:50He would snot rock it on his hand and rub up the baseball.
- 37:53Oh, disgusting. And then he would try to throw
- 37:55it to Roman and Roman would just lean out of the way and he'd be
- 38:00like, need a new one, need a new one.
- 38:03He wouldn't catch it. Chan Ho was he was, he was like,
- 38:06like if you ever look up. I don't ever want to meet him or
- 38:10shake his hands because he probably.
- 38:11I had no idea it was going to be that disgusting.
- 38:14Fish look up like Chan. This is Chan Ho to AT look up
- 38:20the interview of him at Fenway and why he missed because he
- 38:26literally is doing an interview and he goes I have a lot of
- 38:28diarrhea and I am laughing in the background.
- 38:32You see MO's face in the background laughing because he
- 38:36doesn't say it just once he says it like 3 times.
- 38:39I am I'm the one in the back horse laughing and it is the
- 38:43funniest. I was like, did he just say
- 38:45that? Like he just said he had
- 38:47diarrhea three times. Like, and George King, who I
- 38:51love, wrote for the post forever and was like, yeah, they said
- 38:56you had a stomach ache. And he goes, yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 38:59had a lot of diarrhea. And I'm like, did he just say
- 39:02that? Hold on.
- 39:04And I'm like 3 lockers away and Fenway, let's just say Fenway
- 39:08you're nuts to the lockers are very small.
- 39:12They're very close. So you're all right there.
- 39:14It's been pulled it out of my ass.
- 39:17And then he literally keeps saying it.
- 39:20And if you watch it on YouTube, it is.
- 39:23I horse laugh in the background and they're like, who is?
- 39:27Could you give me your horse laugh?
- 39:29Could I hear your horse laugh? No.
- 39:31Watch. You'll watch it because it has
- 39:33to be authentic. It can't be.
- 39:35It can't be fake. This makes my pecker hard but no
- 39:39he was great Other one. I want to go before Goody does
- 39:43that I I have to give a shout out to of of being one of the
- 39:46best I've ever. Woody is 1.
- 39:48Carrie Wood and Joe Nathan. Joe Nathan was very
- 39:51underappreciated for the run that he had just because he was
- 39:54with the Twins and he can never beat the Yankees.
- 39:56But if you look at a 10 year run that Joe Nathan had compared to
- 40:00Moe's, it's a very, very similar.
- 40:02And he, he, he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
- 40:05I don't know if he's going to get in because he doesn't have
- 40:08enough saves, but man, he's he. He's a, he's a Hall of Famer to
- 40:11me and my family and one of the best people that you could.
- 40:16Ride or die with in every aspect.
- 40:21All right, so let's move on, goody.
- 40:22Welcome back bro. Got vacation in?
- 40:25Dr. Heard your coaching? You just made my nipples right
- 40:28now. I just got my first, my first
- 40:31coaching win. Oh, you got the first dub?
- 40:34First dub as a coach, 17 strikeouts, four walks.
- 40:37What a three? Sig it's pretty good.
- 40:41Hey first, but before we get into it though, how was how was
- 40:44vacation dawg? Awesome, I'm with.
- 40:48Didn't come back. I farted you.
- 40:51Said damn, damn, these kids were out.
- 40:54Yeah, yeah. And then on my way back, my pet,
- 40:56my, my boarding pass got flagged with like 4 s s, which is like
- 41:00selective security search or something.
- 41:02And I was like, damn, I'm really not coming back.
- 41:06Smell my ass. And then after the cavity
- 41:08search, it was all good. They didn't find anything.
- 41:10I felt great after that and now I'm back home.
- 41:13Smell my ass, here we are. They rub, they rubber gloved you
- 41:17butt plug. I told him no loop Yum Yum get
- 41:21in there. Bagel hole, that's it, said.
- 41:25Wow, this. Guy's might have happened on.
- 41:27Goody has no woody. Analytics.
- 41:32Oh yeah, I'm sure I missed it. I wasn't.
- 41:34I had a nose sack. So goody, just call it a pen.
- 41:38We're just going to wrap it up with your story.
- 41:40If you have any Mariano Rivera stories, we're going to share
- 41:44some of those, or any other great relievers you shared the
- 41:47pen with just for tonight. I have no sack.
- 41:51Yeah, that one, he was good. Yeah, he was.
- 41:53All right. Yeah, my first spring training
- 41:57with Mariana. Let's see, I just had gotten
- 42:01drafted. I never went to my league camp,
- 42:03Went straight to Major League camp, no big.
- 42:07Yeah, because they did that back then.
- 42:09I didn't get to go. They didn't do that.
- 42:12I was like the only guy to do that in our draft class because
- 42:15I went. I jumped 3 levels in like a
- 42:16month. And.
- 42:18The world Baseball class, it was happening around that time so a
- 42:21lot of our players went to go play in it.
- 42:23So I ended up getting put on Long story short before like the
- 42:28first game, I get in a car accident, shred my ankle up.
- 42:30This is what Mariano was coming back from his knee injury.
- 42:32So we spent a lot of time rehabbing together and got to
- 42:35know him pretty well. Awesome guy.
- 42:39Like 2 years later, I was in AA, he had already retired and he
- 42:46came out to throw the first pitch in Trenton.
- 42:49And I remember walking up to him after, like after the game or
- 42:52before the game or something. And I was like, hey MO.
- 42:55I was like, I don't, I don't know if you Remember Me.
- 42:58And he's like, oh, Nick, what's up?
- 43:00Nick Cody? Yeah, he's like, how's your
- 43:02ankle doing? And I'm like, dude, what?
- 43:05And like just left an impression on me.
- 43:07I'm like, this guy is an absolute legend.
- 43:09Like just like I was some minor league guy who was rehabbing at
- 43:13my ankle and he just happened to Remember Me two years later when
- 43:17I hadn't seen him and I couldn't tell you how long.
- 43:20Jeter was the same way though. Jeter was the same way.
- 43:22Like, they just knew guys and they like they got it.
- 43:25They really did. Who was The Who was the first
- 43:28big leader to say hi to you? That's a good question.
- 43:35I don't remember, it was probably Jeter.
- 43:40Probably Jeter. Mine was when I was when I was
- 43:43signing and it's not a super popular name by any means, but
- 43:47had a great career. Miguel Cairo.
- 43:50Oh wow. OK.
- 43:53Who was the Mexican pitcher that pitched for the Yankees and for
- 43:57Boston? Crazy dude.
- 44:01You're telling crazy stories. I can't remember his name.
- 44:04I got a girl back off now. Alfredo Aceves.
- 44:07Aceves. Yeah, I remember.
- 44:08That. Name bro, You weren't.
- 44:11I'm rehabbing my elbow. No, nobody sweats more than that
- 44:14guy. It's.
- 44:15You know why? You would have it literally
- 44:17dripping. It's unbelievable.
- 44:21Bartolo. Bartolo had his had his pinky
- 44:24nail. Yeah, well, Alfredo Savis, I
- 44:27remember their life. He was a mercenary too, by the
- 44:31way. Yeah, Yeah, that's what I'm
- 44:32saying. Like he killed people for sure.
- 44:34Probably not, actually. I don't know if I can say that
- 44:36or not. Don't know, but whatever.
- 44:39But I remember coming in spring training, he was down there
- 44:44either signing or rehabbing or doing something.
- 44:46And I walk into the food room and he's the only one in there.
- 44:49And I'm like, like, this is questionable.
- 44:54So I walk in, get my food. He's sitting there.
- 44:58He has his cereal, which is like those pops, those pops pops, you
- 45:04know, like nobody eats those. They're disgusting.
- 45:07They're like just all filled with all the bullshit.
- 45:10And he's sitting there eating his pops, and he has a carton of
- 45:14egg whites, and he's dumping the egg whites into his pops and
- 45:18eating them like that. Yeah, of course poops would like
- 45:21that because it's whatever. But I'm like, dude, I'm like,
- 45:25hey, man, those are huevos. He's like, he just kind of like
- 45:31looks at me. And he's like, I'm like, Oh my
- 45:35God, I got to get out of this place.
- 45:36This guy's psycho. He was a he was a different
- 45:40human. Psycho that.
- 45:43That's the kind of stories we learn.
- 45:45I have some of this pen. Business here and a call to the
- 45:48pen. Another great rendition.
- 45:52Some inside baseball. Stories.
- 45:54I like anal. Oh man, it's been a crazy one.
- 46:00All right. Ladies and gentlemen, we call
- 46:02this segment sounded out. Jake Roll here.
- 46:05Jake Quelin. Where's Jake Quelin at?
- 46:06No Jake Quelin here. Do you mean Jacqueline?
- 46:09Let's. Sound it out.
- 46:10What you call? Me.
- 46:12Sound it out. Out how?
- 46:15Wonderful. I can't wait for this.
- 46:17We're back, Errol, for your favorite segment.
- 46:19Yeah, that's great. Makes me look like a fool.
- 46:21Let's go. No, you've been doing pretty
- 46:24well recently. I I would say your batting
- 46:26average in this is over 300. That's All Star caliber.
- 46:30What are you eating, goody? What are you eating over there?
- 46:32I think you went from a bowl of cereal.
- 46:34To crushing food. A bowl of cereal to what?
- 46:36What are you having over Laffy Taffy over there?
- 46:38What is it? One thing I didn't know in this
- 46:41league is there's no visitors clubhouses and there's no post
- 46:44game spread. So you know, 10:00 I'm crushing
- 46:47up or 11:00 and 40 I'm crushing my wife's rice and sausage.
- 46:55Oh. Yeah, there it is.
- 46:57Speedy likes the sausage, right? Speedy that.
- 46:58Does sound good Rice and. Sausage.
- 47:00What it is Good sausage. Speedster.
- 47:02The best thing your wife cooks goody.
- 47:04Is she a Baker? Oregon a cooker.
- 47:06Who'd she? When I met her, she could do a
- 47:07mean bowl of cereal. Now she can whip up anything Bro
- 47:10A. Mean.
- 47:11Bowl with rice and like occasion is like a Cajun like a Cajun
- 47:15sausage pasta. She does like chicken and like
- 47:19roasted vegetables really really good like clean.
- 47:22She cooks clean. That's why I'm shredded.
- 47:25Yeah, there's like two things, but she sticks to the baking
- 47:28side. Like I'll cook, but there's a
- 47:30couple things. That's OK.
- 47:32Yeah, well, when I met her she never had steak.
- 47:36Now she eat steak. Crazy, I know.
- 47:39How about that? Where are.
- 47:40You from 5 minutes from my house.
- 47:45Ohio. We grew up 8 minutes apart.
- 47:49Spank that ass. Sprank that ass.
- 47:52Huh. You'd never met before.
- 47:55Yeah, we're high school sweethearts, Flap Daddy.
- 47:57We went to the same date there. Flap that ass spanking.
- 48:02Right, so we get we're going to stay in this baseball theme,
- 48:05Meryl for sounded out. This is the one where we give
- 48:07some. Heart I am a disturbing person.
- 48:08Athletes names to Errol and he's got a.
- 48:11Sound amount you stick a finger and so here.
- 48:13We go Errol first one. We're staying baseball the whole
- 48:16time. Here we go, sound.
- 48:20Ow Corey Lubecky, that's really close loop key and going.
- 48:29To give you credit for it, Lubecky is more like what it is,
- 48:38but we'll give you Corey Lubecky.
- 48:40Lubecky one for one arrow marks. Nice start.
- 48:45Not. Bad.
- 48:45I think you're going to do well on this one tonight.
- 48:48I don't. Know about that?
- 48:49So we got them all right. Here we go, going on to our
- 48:52second one. Let's see if you can keep the
- 48:54streak alive. Sound it out.
- 49:00Justin Doucher. Oh, we knew it.
- 49:04He's. Right.
- 49:05Two in a row. Oh.
- 49:07Man doucher. Not doucherer, no doucher.
- 49:10Have you ever sniffed I? Thought I thought you'd
- 49:13appreciate the way it's pronounced.
- 49:15Douche, I want you to trim fish. That's two for two, Errol.
- 49:19Oh man, I'm I'm this might be the best.
- 49:21You've done ever. Can you sweep sound it out for
- 49:25the first time ever? Here we go.
- 49:28I want to do the last one. And it's this is one of my all
- 49:32time favorites. Errol.
- 49:34He's a Kansas City coach now. Sound it out.
- 49:41I was with him, by the way, Rusty.
- 49:43Koontz hey. The clean.
- 49:49Sweep for Errol. It's a miracle.
- 49:53Are you a meat Bender? What?
- 49:55A job? Yes, Rusty Koontz spelled
- 49:58slightly differently than how it sounds.
- 50:00Pulled it out of my ass you get. A kick out of that.
- 50:02A perfect. As long as she's using dude
- 50:04wipes and taking care of my 2 hole I'm good.
- 50:08He he by far. Is is is one of one of my
- 50:12favorite coaches. Rusty was awesome.
- 50:14Rusty. I saw him in the news.
- 50:16I know what you thought I was going to say.
- 50:18Jack Hagley. I know.
- 50:19I know what. You thought I was going to?
- 50:20Say on his way up, so teaching them outfield.
- 50:23So guys, that's been sounded out.
- 50:25Wow, 3 for three. I'm in.
- 50:27That's the first time ever. I'm hitting, I'm hitting over
- 50:301000, baby. Next week will probably be 1000.
- 50:33Yeah. They can go over 1000. 1001,
- 50:37how's that? I'd like to thank all the fans
- 50:39that are following us on obviously Blue Wire.
- 50:42We're not on Blue Wire yet guys. So I know a lot of fans probably
- 50:46have gone on Blue Wire and trying to look for us.
- 50:48Blue Wire is working on it. I did speak to Blue Wire they it
- 50:51should be up in the next week or so.
- 50:53It usually takes a little while for it to go up on their you
- 50:56know, on their website. So just relax.
- 50:59It'll be up there again. Thank you to all the fans on all
- 51:03our social medias from Spotify, Spotify video, apple, Twitter,
- 51:08TikTok, whatever the hell you call it X Instagram, all the
- 51:13social media platforms. Thank you for all the fans
- 51:15following us. Keep following us and again, our
- 51:18YouTube channel growing as well and, and, and we're going to be
- 51:21working on more of the YouTube channel over the next couple of
- 51:25weeks. So thank you to all the fans
- 51:27and, and by the way, who do we have on on Thursday?
- 51:28All right, joining the show, 915 Hall of Fame safety Leroy
- 51:33Butler, also the guy who invented the Lambo leap.
- 51:35He was a 2022 Hall of Fame inductee.
- 51:39And yes, the guy who invented the Lambo leap in the late 90s?
- 51:42Super Bowl champion, A four time Pro Bowl.
- 51:44Safety. And that was the I was actually
- 51:47going to go to Ohio to watch Revis be inducted that year and
- 51:52we were going to go with Josh. Remember that.
- 51:54Yeah, I remember that. We were going to go to that that
- 51:57Hall of Fame and Kleco, Joe Kleco and Revis went in that
- 52:02year. But Leroy was one of the more
- 52:04underrated, one of the greatest safeties ever played the game.
- 52:07So it's cool. It's kind of cool getting him on
- 52:09the show. It's going to be a great
- 52:11interview and he doesn't really interview a lot.
- 52:13He doesn't really go on a lot of shows.
- 52:15So it's pretty cool that he wants to come on the show and
- 52:17talk about his career and being inducted to the Hall of Fame.
- 52:21I think there's only been like 6 safeties ever been inducted into
- 52:24the Hall of Fame and he's one of them.
- 52:26It's a pretty cool story, so it's great to have him on.
- 52:29I'm looking forward to getting Leroy on the show.
- 52:31I'm sure job is, I'm sure all of you guys will be very intrigued
- 52:35to hear some of the stories that he has in his past and what he's
- 52:38doing in the future with all the different organizations he's
- 52:41working with. All right, that's it.
- 52:43Thank you, Nick. By the way, congratulations to
- 52:45Nick winning his first coaching job.
- 52:48Oh, by the way, so Golf Club for old Nicky, 17 strikeouts for the
- 52:53old Nick boy. It wasn't him throwing the ball.
- 52:55That's true. Are you surprised?
- 52:58No, I'm not surprised. You're always trying to find a
- 53:00way to, you know, stand out and you're going to be a good coach.
- 53:03You're a good you're a good dude.
- 53:05So I, I, I know I don't expect anything but greatness for the
- 53:09old wood boy as we Hold on, hold on.
- 53:12I'm going to figure. Breaking news Goody has no
- 53:15Woody. All right, that's it for our
- 53:17show. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 53:19Good night. We'll talk to you Thursday it.
- 53:21Is the worldwide sports radio network.
