- 0:01Speaker 1: Sam the alarm, the Premier League is back and we
- 0:03Speaker 1: have a wild card active. Jules runs us through his
- 0:06Speaker 1: new look team. We run the rule over arsenal and
- 0:08Speaker 1: the usual arguments in Sue and I almost lose my patience. Well, hello,
- 0:19Speaker 1: welcome to the FPL pod and it's a bit of
- 0:21Speaker 1: a special one today for those of you listening as
- 0:23Speaker 1: a podcast. As I always say, when we do these
- 0:25Speaker 1: in person it makes probably absolutely no difference. But if
- 0:28Speaker 1: you are watching us on YouTube, Hello, yes we are
- 0:32Speaker 1: in person. Which camerage we wave cameras we don't know
- 0:35Speaker 1: where to wave.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Hello.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Yes, we are all together in a studio in London.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Sam Bonfield, Julian Laurron and Kelly Summer's with you as always, guys.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Nice to see you, Nice to be back with you
- 0:44Speaker 1: first time. Yeah, it's an international break, so we thought
- 0:47Speaker 1: we've got a little bit more time, so let's get together.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Let's chat FPL and Dundun, let's chat wildcards. It is active,
- 0:56Speaker 1: isn't it.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 0:57Speaker 4: I didn't think I would play it, I said last
- 0:59Speaker 4: week and then national break.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But you ever do it? That? Why do people go early?
- 1:05Speaker 4: Because this year now with the new rules and the
- 1:07Speaker 4: fact that you can roll on your transfer up to five.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Then that's why I explained last week.
- 1:12Speaker 4: It makes a big difference because you can play your
- 1:14Speaker 4: world card now and even after that make quite a
- 1:16Speaker 4: lot of changes by the time you get to the
- 1:18Speaker 4: next international break. So I think, actually it makes more
- 1:21Speaker 4: sense to do it now your world cards, then next
- 1:24Speaker 4: month for the next international break.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Cass comes with a disclaimer. Everything Julian said it minced.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Me more than anything else last week, so I thought,
- 1:33Speaker 4: I thought, let's go, let's go for what was.
- 1:35Speaker 1: The tipping point, what was the reason? There must have
- 1:38Speaker 1: been a moment when something happened.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's two words, very easy, Mohammed Salah and it's.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Just as simple as that.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I thought. I watched him play for Egypt and it
- 1:46Speaker 4: was great again, and I was like, really, I can't
- 1:48Speaker 4: go into a get with.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Fours, seriously without him and the team.
- 1:52Speaker 4: And remember we discussed during the preseason and then at
- 1:56Speaker 4: the start of the season and we all are draft
- 1:58Speaker 4: with Halent and Salah and I was just not brave enough.
- 2:01Speaker 4: I didn't like the teams enough to do it. And
- 2:04Speaker 4: now I just thought it's it's a must have. Really,
- 2:06Speaker 4: when you see how merch in for me is how
- 2:08Speaker 4: great Liverpool I've been so far that if you can
- 2:12Speaker 4: make it happen and get seal that in your team
- 2:15Speaker 4: on top of Hallan without using your worldcard, good for you.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I just could not do it, so I had to
- 2:19Speaker 4: also play the wild card for that I fool.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I need to say something to you at this point,
- 2:22Speaker 1: otherwise we're going to spend the first fifteen minutes just
- 2:25Speaker 1: talking about jus World Card because I've got so many questions,
- 2:30Speaker 1: multiple questions.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I don't know. I think it does make sense. It's
- 2:35Speaker 2: one of the highest World Card weeks ever in FBL.
- 2:38Speaker 2: So a lot of managers been in like tools and
- 2:41Speaker 2: I think the most managers is that if you started
- 2:43Speaker 2: the season without Salo, if you started the season without Holland,
- 2:45Speaker 2: there's that fear factor. I've definitely still got that.
- 2:52Speaker 4: No.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I think for me, like if I was going to
- 2:54Speaker 2: do it, i'd have done it at the beginning of
- 2:55Speaker 2: the international break, like doing it now with a few
- 2:58Speaker 2: days to go till the deadline.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Did you press the button Friday?
- 3:02Speaker 4: I think so literally, just I'm thinking about it already
- 3:06Speaker 4: before and then I thought also the price would have
- 3:10Speaker 4: gone to buy Saturday.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Now, prices are interesting.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Actually, yeah, it's all about talent, you know, planning, talent
- 3:16Speaker 4: and vision.
- 3:20Speaker 2: It's actually got notes.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Actually, look at this, that's more.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Notes than you've ever Actually the fact that he's got
- 3:26Speaker 2: a dedicated notebook for pl as well.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Now Week four a game.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Week three this is I can't fail this week, I
- 3:33Speaker 3: cannot fail.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Okay, So there is a lot of wild cards that
- 3:37Speaker 1: are currently being played in fact as it stands, So
- 3:40Speaker 1: we're recording this on Wednesday morning. This is of course
- 3:43Speaker 1: the second podcast this International Break. You can still go
- 3:45Speaker 1: back and listen to the one last Thursday. Just ignore
- 3:47Speaker 1: everything that you all said, but there will still be
- 3:50Speaker 1: some stuff in there that's relevant. And at the point
- 3:52Speaker 1: of recording there are six hundred Why do I struggle
- 3:56Speaker 1: to read? I've always had this, and now we don't
- 4:00Speaker 1: cut things out of podcasts, it's even more evident six
- 4:03Speaker 1: hundred and twenty seven eight hundred and seventy three wild
- 4:05Speaker 1: cards active? What time was that, as I've sam because
- 4:08Speaker 1: it'll probably have already changed by now.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Well it will have done. That was about half ten.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Okay, and this is eleven sixteen live. That's a lost
- 4:15Speaker 1: So yeah, it will be changing. It will be going up.
- 4:17Speaker 1: This Triple Captain's being activated one hundred and fifty one thousand,
- 4:20Speaker 1: three hits as well almost ninety thousand and almost sixty
- 4:24Speaker 1: thousand bench boosts. But wild cards, that's bonkers, bonkers. There's
- 4:27Speaker 1: nearly five hundred thousand more active than there were at
- 4:30Speaker 1: the time of recording last week. So yeah, it's going
- 4:32Speaker 1: up really really quickly. Before we get into your wild
- 4:35Speaker 1: card team, I'm just going to all remind you of
- 4:37Speaker 1: the FPO pod Mini League code because I often forget
- 4:39Speaker 1: to do that as well. The code is Q seven
- 4:41Speaker 1: y CO zero. Thank you to everyone that's joined us
- 4:45Speaker 1: in that. If you want to listen to the current
- 4:46Speaker 1: standings again, go back and listen to our last podcast.
- 4:49Speaker 1: But come on, Jewels, let's just get underway because everyone
- 4:51Speaker 1: is screaming that they're smart Jewels. Who's in your wild
- 4:55Speaker 1: card team?
- 4:56Speaker 4: So I can't really remember all the good advice that
- 4:58Speaker 4: you gave last week on people wanted to play your
- 5:01Speaker 4: World Cup.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I just told everyone else listen back.
- 5:02Speaker 3: You should from last week change listen.
- 5:06Speaker 4: So the the idea was all about Mosalla, as we said,
- 5:10Speaker 4: but for that I had to sacrifice Soka unfortunately.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, because you can't have Harlan.
- 5:15Speaker 1: You have no snow attacker.
- 5:17Speaker 4: So then I moved in. I can't have it. Yeah,
- 5:19Speaker 4: and I think this is fair. You get Arson's attack covered.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's pretty much the team I said last week.
- 5:26Speaker 4: I don't say that Harry Wings, who have roasted earlier
- 5:29Speaker 4: on in the season, for why do we.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Know you've not put him in? It is just just
- 5:32Speaker 1: like just.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Turn on my bench.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Not even on my bench.
- 5:35Speaker 4: I think he would be with the medical staff the
- 5:37Speaker 4: road behind the bench. But anyway, you know I'll have
- 5:40Speaker 4: him there. So the dilemma had right now. So Anthony
- 5:44Speaker 4: Robinson has coming because as we said, the Fulham schedule
- 5:47Speaker 4: looks good the pictures. He's been great even in a
- 5:51Speaker 4: poor USA team. In this national break he played well.
- 5:54Speaker 4: I thought, so is in But then I've kept Saliba,
- 5:57Speaker 4: I kept Concert and Pedro Poro. Uh So Mosala in
- 6:00Speaker 4: midfield has come with Semenio because I think, as we
- 6:04Speaker 4: mentioned last week, is on good form. It's quite cheap
- 6:07Speaker 4: at five point six million, it makes sense. And then
- 6:10Speaker 4: for my last spot with Wings and Rogers, a k
- 6:14Speaker 4: R nine who was great with England the twenty one
- 6:17Speaker 4: in this.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Going to get some points eventually.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Though eventually surely.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Right, and then Caro Mitoma is my last midfield no,
- 6:28Speaker 4: because I didn't have enough money.
- 6:29Speaker 3: So but I can tell you this is my dilemma now.
- 6:31Speaker 4: So my front three is a telephont three because I
- 6:34Speaker 4: kept Isaac and I changed Solanky. Have its for Solanky right,
- 6:37Speaker 4: So that means I've got Harland Isaac and have it.
- 6:40Speaker 4: I can downgrade Isaac for a Joe Pedro for example,
- 6:43Speaker 4: or you and Wissa, which then gives me more money
- 6:47Speaker 4: to upgrade somebody in midfield for a for example. But
- 6:51Speaker 4: if I get Issac to Joe Pedro, I can even
- 6:53Speaker 4: get an Anthony Gordon. I can probably get to Kevin
- 6:57Speaker 4: de Bryn too if I want. So it gives me.
- 7:00Speaker 4: It gives me so much more money if I go
- 7:02Speaker 4: from east Side to Draw Pedro, for example.
- 7:05Speaker 2: But you're not doing that.
- 7:06Speaker 3: It's very tempting. But I just like east Side.
- 7:08Speaker 4: He's scored in game with three, he played really well
- 7:10Speaker 4: with Sweden, scored two goals in one of the two games,
- 7:13Speaker 4: looked really really sharp, and they've got Wolves away and
- 7:16Speaker 4: then the next game is at home against Fulham before
- 7:20Speaker 4: they play Cities.
- 7:21Speaker 3: So I'm kind of you.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Could do that in a couple of weeks.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you could wait, because has got Man City and
- 7:27Speaker 2: then exactly.
- 7:28Speaker 4: So that's why I'm thinking, I'm going to keep an
- 7:32Speaker 4: amazing front three really of Harland Eastside and have it
- 7:34Speaker 4: for now.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I really like that front three run through it then
- 7:37Speaker 1: from goalkeepers, defense all the way through to forwards.
- 7:39Speaker 3: So my body in gold with flecking. There's no change there,
- 7:42Speaker 3: there's no change. I can't.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I can't let go.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Point five there by going for a scenario.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, such a better if you let go of that paras.
- 7:55Speaker 3: No, I can't your parents much hard.
- 7:58Speaker 4: That speaks Pedro Robinson, concert Fires and Saliba salah Me,
- 8:03Speaker 4: Thomas Semeno, Rogers A k R nine and Wings and
- 8:07Speaker 4: then Harlan is.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Getting come on people.
- 8:12Speaker 1: It's very similar to the same we discussed last night.
- 8:17Speaker 3: You mention you gave other names. God keep a change,
- 8:21Speaker 3: you said.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but I said I'd go flacking who you already had.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but I realized, my boy, I can't do that.
- 8:28Speaker 4: You know. The one I'm tempted to make it work
- 8:31Speaker 4: is thirdy Up Brighton, the Turkish left back who we're
- 8:34Speaker 4: still being so good at the Euros they've signed who
- 8:37Speaker 4: didn't go away with Turkey in Slash Break to stay
- 8:40Speaker 4: at Brighton and everything, and I think he will hit
- 8:42Speaker 4: the ground running straight away. I would expect him to
- 8:44Speaker 4: start at home against Ipswich because that's a good game
- 8:47Speaker 4: for him to start a left back. And and at
- 8:51Speaker 4: four point five million, I think Fadi could be a
- 8:53Speaker 4: really smart signing right now. So this is the other
- 8:56Speaker 4: one with them Bomo that I'm like, Okay, I'll be tempted.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Is there anything missing from that team?
- 9:01Speaker 2: Piezer annoyingly? It's quite good, isn't it. I don't know.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I would be tempted to just have one goalkeeper antime.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Is there not an element of you that doesn't want
- 9:14Speaker 1: the headache each week?
- 9:15Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 9:15Speaker 1: Because I always find when I have rotating goalkeeper, I
- 9:17Speaker 1: always picked there on one to play, but then.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Fleckan has City for example, and I realize full So yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But the I get that.
- 9:24Speaker 2: But equally like, if you have a four point oh
- 9:26Speaker 2: that's an extra point five. Have you got any money
- 9:28Speaker 2: in the bank point one? It's not going to get
- 9:30Speaker 2: you very zero no, But I think having that extra
- 9:34Speaker 2: zero point five off of a goalkeeper would like in
- 9:37Speaker 2: reality from game week seven onwards, you're going to play
- 9:40Speaker 2: Fleckin' every single week, like there's not going to be
- 9:43Speaker 2: a week where you play Ariola in all of that time.
- 9:45Speaker 2: It's just it's just a waste of money sitting on
- 9:47Speaker 2: your bench. And if you said to me, oh, I'm
- 9:48Speaker 2: going to play my bench boosting game week seven, then
- 9:50Speaker 2: I'd be like, well, fair enough, because then it gives
- 9:52Speaker 2: you a playing goalkeeper. But in reality, are you going
- 9:54Speaker 2: to do that or are you going to wait until
- 9:56Speaker 2: the new year to do it?
- 9:57Speaker 4: So who do I get as a four million.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It doesn't, it doesn't.
- 10:01Speaker 3: I don't even know. Their names don't exist.
- 10:04Speaker 2: And then you just go for the substitute Bramford goalkeeper,
- 10:06Speaker 2: but don't make me say his name because I don't
- 10:08Speaker 2: know how.
- 10:08Speaker 4: To I'm going to go, I think for somebody really
- 10:11Speaker 4: good Joe Lemley, just because you can say that it's
- 10:14Speaker 4: a funny name. And yeah, but I think so.
- 10:18Speaker 2: But at that point then if you wanted to, then
- 10:20Speaker 2: you like you maybe don't have to downgrade East if
- 10:23Speaker 2: he starts performing well, you can maybe get to and
- 10:26Speaker 2: by just moving some of the budget around elsewhere.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Yeah, Metoma is the one that obviously last season was
- 10:32Speaker 4: not his best season, as we know when he got
- 10:33Speaker 4: an injury halfway through it. To be fair, but if
- 10:36Speaker 4: if I think particularly gets back to them from the
- 10:41Speaker 4: season before that who was outstanding and again bright and
- 10:43Speaker 4: Ipswich at home we mentioned, then they've got Forest at home.
- 10:46Speaker 4: So back to back home game then Chelsea but played
- 10:49Speaker 4: really well with Japan, scored and assisted in both games,
- 10:54Speaker 4: came back. The game was early enough on Tuesday to
- 10:56Speaker 4: have come back in good time to play on Saturday.
- 10:58Speaker 3: I would expect so.
- 11:00Speaker 4: And you looked really good, like all that phone line
- 11:02Speaker 4: well Beggede Pedro even the mint Yeah, I he went,
- 11:10Speaker 4: Mitimi is still better than Minte.
- 11:11Speaker 1: So so if you've got me Tim, I don't think
- 11:14Speaker 1: you need to worry about I know you're not worried
- 11:16Speaker 1: about am Joel Pedro. The reason you'd want me cover
- 11:18Speaker 1: you've got some Brighton attack.
- 11:19Speaker 2: But then if you had Jel Pedro instead of Etach,
- 11:21Speaker 2: you probably wouldn't want the time.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Exactly. So Brighton will be covered with Pedro and then
- 11:27Speaker 4: from Mituma. With the extra money from the ETAC to
- 11:30Speaker 4: draw Pedro transfer, I can get to almost KDB. I think.
- 11:33Speaker 4: So that's that's the that's the dilemma, and that's the
- 11:36Speaker 4: thing that can change between now and Saturday. No Chelsea
- 11:39Speaker 4: either in the so Nicol Williams, Sorry Nicol Williams, we
- 11:44Speaker 4: can't cut.
- 11:47Speaker 3: So Nicol Jackson is the other one.
- 11:49Speaker 4: But obviously the difference is still more expensive, much more
- 11:52Speaker 4: expensive than Pedro. So that doesn't give me actually that
- 11:55Speaker 4: much money to upgrade and Mi Tuma or se Meni
- 11:58Speaker 4: or somebody like that. But yeah, Nicol Jackson is another
- 12:03Speaker 4: really strong possibility because as we said, Chesse fixtures are
- 12:05Speaker 4: really good going forward.
- 12:06Speaker 1: And of course you couldn't even consider if you weren't
- 12:08Speaker 1: going to consider Saka. You couldn't consider cal Palmer.
- 12:11Speaker 4: That's too but I would, you know. But again Harland,
- 12:15Speaker 4: Salon and Parama takes so much money if you want
- 12:18Speaker 4: to keep a Saliva for example, I think it's too
- 12:22Speaker 4: it's too difficult, too much.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, good point.
- 12:26Speaker 4: The only one could be Robertson for saliva, but saliva
- 12:29Speaker 4: I can't like he would literally.
- 12:31Speaker 2: To Robertson now, oh just you.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Know, yeah, that's possibility.
- 12:36Speaker 3: I didn't think about that.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I think about that. No, I didn't think about that.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I would do that.
- 12:40Speaker 4: But Petropo is going to return against US. I feel it,
- 12:45Speaker 4: you do, I feel it. So okay, we see there's
- 12:48Speaker 4: a few things that could change between.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Now and Okay, this is the FPL pod, not the
- 12:53Speaker 1: let's move on now. Thank you for revealing that. Jules,
- 12:56Speaker 1: myself and Sam a bit envious actually, I think, yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 1: you really have the salad pick though there's a lot.
- 13:02Speaker 4: I'm quite envyish Home to Forest is not in your
- 13:05Speaker 4: team right now.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I would like to.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Defense mean that jos is going to start because Darwin
- 13:11Speaker 2: hasn't been away on international duty. I am like slightly
- 13:16Speaker 2: worried about that. Yeah, well it played, but if Darwin
- 13:20Speaker 2: gets to start.
- 13:22Speaker 4: I don't want you to get Salah to be fair YouTube,
- 13:24Speaker 4: because that means you're going to benefit.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Okay, you mentioned that the international break, in the fact
- 13:31Speaker 1: that Darwin hasn't been away, we have of course seen
- 13:33Speaker 1: lots of players in action, lots of players will be
- 13:35Speaker 1: traveling back, lots of pliers probably still haven't even played
- 13:38Speaker 1: at this point. So it does make the weekend very
- 13:40Speaker 1: interesting and will undoubtedly have an impact on our FPL
- 13:43Speaker 1: teams this weekend. What have you noticed from the international
- 13:46Speaker 1: break that we need to consider going into this next
- 13:48Speaker 1: round of fixtures and gain week four s.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I mean, I think we always have to look at
- 13:52Speaker 2: how far they've gone when they're back, like Jaws mentioned,
- 13:54Speaker 2: like Motoma's obviously been away with Japan, but was back
- 13:57Speaker 2: early enough. And actually really it's only the Brazil map
- 14:00Speaker 2: that was super late. That happened like early hours of
- 14:02Speaker 2: Wednesday morning. So they're the only only team really that
- 14:06Speaker 2: you have to be overly cautious of, because even when
- 14:09Speaker 2: you look at like Argentina and Columbia, they were on Tuesday,
- 14:12Speaker 2: so it's actually not so bad. But also the teams
- 14:17Speaker 2: that we used to worry about that with particularly was Liverpool,
- 14:20Speaker 2: and of course we don't really know whether it's still
- 14:22Speaker 2: going to be the same it was so with clop
- 14:26Speaker 2: your North Americans never really started the game that followed.
- 14:28Speaker 2: But with Slot, will that be the same. It's really
- 14:31Speaker 2: difficult to know. So I think you just need to
- 14:32Speaker 2: make sure that the bench is as good as it
- 14:35Speaker 2: can be heading into the next week. And that's going
- 14:37Speaker 2: to be hard because if you've got Barco and people
- 14:41Speaker 2: like that's still there, it is a challenge. I'm I'm
- 14:43Speaker 2: the same, and I am looking at.
- 14:45Speaker 4: I don't know him anymore, so I don't know what.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Barko. I think like could could actually start to be
- 14:52Speaker 2: an issue for people at this.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Thing, start start to be issue because that's the game.
- 15:00Speaker 2: It could start to be an issue at this point
- 15:02Speaker 2: because you are looking at your team. Now, Look if
- 15:04Speaker 2: Jossah doesn't get the start because Darwin's banned and therefore
- 15:07Speaker 2: hasn't gone on international duty, and maybe Slot goes, well
- 15:10Speaker 2: you've not been aware and give you the star. I
- 15:12Speaker 2: can't imagine that Josna doesn't come on at all for
- 15:15Speaker 2: Liverpool in that game and hopefully comes on against the
- 15:17Speaker 2: tired Forest defense and it's all right. But yeah, and
- 15:21Speaker 2: I think you know you've got you've got other players
- 15:23Speaker 2: at Liverpool Like for me, I get it, like I
- 15:25Speaker 2: want Salad, but you look at the two performances that
- 15:29Speaker 2: Trent put in for England over international break and I'm like,
- 15:32Speaker 2: all right, well I can't have Salah, but I can
- 15:35Speaker 2: have Trend and you've not got Trent.
- 15:37Speaker 1: So I think have you have you done that transfer?
- 15:41Speaker 2: No, not yet, but it will happen.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I was waiting for you, told us last week you
- 15:48Speaker 1: were going to make You're going to.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Do it, But I was waiting on price visers and
- 15:51Speaker 2: they haven't come, but he hasn't risen well, so you
- 15:53Speaker 2: were waiting for him to rise until it was going
- 15:56Speaker 2: to happen because I wanted to get through the international
- 15:58Speaker 2: fixtures ideally because if somebody injury, I got injured exactly, yeah,
- 16:05Speaker 2: or if like if I'd have had urder guard for example,
- 16:07Speaker 2: and then you might have to deal with that. So
- 16:10Speaker 2: I wanted to wait until the international fixtures were done.
- 16:12Speaker 2: But I would have done it earlier. If Trent was
- 16:15Speaker 2: rising and Vadier was falling, I would have done it
- 16:17Speaker 2: right over the last week. But because that's not happened,
- 16:20Speaker 2: I was like, well, I just wait that out and
- 16:22Speaker 2: I'll do it. So I'll probably do it tonight or
- 16:24Speaker 2: tomorrow night now that I know that everybody's fine. And
- 16:26Speaker 2: obviously Trent survived and got through that because worst case scenario,
- 16:30Speaker 2: I was thinking, if i'd done it had to go early,
- 16:33Speaker 2: then I had.
- 16:34Speaker 1: A wild card.
- 16:34Speaker 2: If I didn't really want a wildcard just because I
- 16:36Speaker 2: bought in a play who got injured.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah, we've all been there. I think in
- 16:39Speaker 1: terms of transfers, then the markets have been busy as
- 16:42Speaker 1: they often are during international rates, and it will only
- 16:44Speaker 1: get busier as we gear up before the return of FPL.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Schwel Pedro and Lewis Diaz are the most popular transfers
- 16:50Speaker 1: in ahead of game week for both of them have
- 16:52Speaker 1: been on international duty. Though with South American teams, as
- 16:55Speaker 1: I have been mentioning, that can be a little bit
- 16:56Speaker 1: of a problem, especially as Liverpool and Brighton both play
- 17:00Speaker 1: at three o'clock on Saturday. Brazil's last match was at
- 17:03Speaker 1: one thirty in the morning on Wednesday. Columbia's last match
- 17:07Speaker 1: was at nine point thirty on Tuesday evening. In terms
- 17:09Speaker 1: of transfers, out Isak is still being shipped out in
- 17:13Speaker 1: his drives he leads the way. Then it's Watkins, Socca
- 17:16Speaker 1: and Guardiol. That is perhaps a reflection the Jews on
- 17:19Speaker 1: people needing money for salad. Do you think like yourself?
- 17:21Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, I think again the Saka moved to Salah,
- 17:26Speaker 4: there's what two points something million in it, So you
- 17:29Speaker 4: could probably make it work with two free transfer three
- 17:32Speaker 4: free transfers if you find the right combination for it.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Really and simply because Saca also has Spurs away and
- 17:39Speaker 4: City away in his next two games, which of course
- 17:41Speaker 4: our someone can still win those two games. Soaca can shine,
- 17:44Speaker 4: of course he can, but they can also row two
- 17:46Speaker 4: games nil nil and there's no writturn for Socaca or
- 17:48Speaker 4: lose boys games, and Soaka doesn't do anything. So I
- 17:51Speaker 4: can see why you can let Sacca go and then
- 17:54Speaker 4: maybe try to bring him back after those two really
- 17:56Speaker 4: really tough fixtures. And for Isa, that's the one I
- 18:01Speaker 4: found a little bit more surprising, unless again he's sack
- 18:04Speaker 4: to draw a pedro to free some money for Asaka
- 18:06Speaker 4: to Salah for example, which is probably the most likely scenario.
- 18:10Speaker 4: But Issa scoring in the last in game with three,
- 18:13Speaker 4: as we mentioned, looking good, looking really good with Sweden,
- 18:15Speaker 4: albeit in games that are quite easy for a players
- 18:18Speaker 4: like him. Still scoring is always good, even on international duty,
- 18:21Speaker 4: so I.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Would be surprised.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I'm a bit surprised that Isak is the most transferred
- 18:25Speaker 4: out compared to Watkins, for example, who didn't go with
- 18:28Speaker 4: England because it was not fully fair, hasn't started well
- 18:30Speaker 4: as miss big chances right now, I would trust Issac
- 18:34Speaker 4: to do better than Watkins coming into a game with
- 18:36Speaker 4: four for.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Example, he did get that assist in game week three,
- 18:38Speaker 1: it was it was pretty fla.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't mention it. Hoping over did I tell
- 18:44Speaker 3: you about leave Davis is a system again, Sorry.
- 18:48Speaker 1: But he's got Everton next up, so we all agree
- 18:50Speaker 1: hold Esac because of the fixtures and maybe reviewing in
- 18:53Speaker 1: a couple of weeks time and see if he picks up.
- 18:54Speaker 1: He's had a good international break. As we mentioned, they're
- 18:57Speaker 1: Wkins second most sold, but maybe my managers are running
- 19:00Speaker 1: out of patients because of those lack of goals and Assy.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But if they ever to next they've conceied ten goals
- 19:06Speaker 1: in the opening three matches of the season, are the
- 19:08Speaker 1: only team in the league to have conceded double digits
- 19:10Speaker 1: so far. It's brave to sell him head of that,
- 19:13Speaker 1: isn't it? Still Sam?
- 19:14Speaker 2: It is, yeah, but people are doing it because they
- 19:16Speaker 2: want Salah. Like you only have to look at the
- 19:18Speaker 2: combinations of transfers that tells you that actually people are
- 19:24Speaker 2: only sacrificing the likes of be sack On Watkins because
- 19:26Speaker 2: they want to have Saloh or they want to have Harland,
- 19:29Speaker 2: depending upon which one they went without at the start
- 19:31Speaker 2: of the season. But I think it is very brave.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I mean, Everton defensively are all over the place and
- 19:36Speaker 2: whilst Watkins hasn't started the season well, I think you
- 19:42Speaker 2: need to look at that fixture and go, well, if
- 19:43Speaker 2: there's ever a time that Watkins is going to become good,
- 19:46Speaker 2: it feels like it's going to be in this one,
- 19:48Speaker 2: doesn't it. So personally for me, i'd hold them both.
- 19:52Speaker 2: I get why you've held these second world card I'd
- 19:53Speaker 2: probably do the same, or they do.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Just watch.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Because he's been so highly transferred out he might drop
- 19:57Speaker 2: him price at some point, so then sell him and
- 19:59Speaker 2: then bring him back after the dropped.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You don't need to point one. That's too much for Joels.
- 20:03Speaker 2: That's what I don't want to leave to point one.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Write that down, Yeah, I do that.
- 20:14Speaker 4: I'm not even sure what to write on price rise
- 20:19Speaker 4: what satied in out out in.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Because so he's worth point eight point five to you.
- 20:24Speaker 2: If he dropped in price, then he'd only be worth
- 20:26Speaker 2: eight point four to you, where as if you sell him,
- 20:28Speaker 2: you've got eight point five in your back and then
- 20:31Speaker 2: like next day.
- 20:32Speaker 4: I just wanted you to explain it for people and
- 20:35Speaker 4: like me, who.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, okay, right, yeah, okay, let's move on, my
- 20:39Speaker 1: Jules write those important nightstands.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Actually right, he's trying to write something I don't think
- 20:44Speaker 2: he would understands what's right, quite know what languages like look.
- 20:51Speaker 3: And I do need to think like this to make
- 20:53Speaker 3: sure I remember.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Even the YouTube viewers an't going to be able to
- 20:56Speaker 1: see what that says, so let's not show them the
- 20:58Speaker 1: notad Soca is the next most transferred out player, perhaps
- 21:02Speaker 1: a little bit of a surprise, because he's the sixth
- 21:04Speaker 1: highest scoring player in the game and someone that I
- 21:06Speaker 1: know I need to sell if I want to get
- 21:08Speaker 1: sealar in, but I just can't bring myself to Yeah,
- 21:11Speaker 1: that's a large part of the reason Sam rat in
- 21:14Speaker 1: the notes here. Do we think that's a sensible decision.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I don't think it's ever a sensible decision to sell soccer,
- 21:19Speaker 1: but I do understand it. Yeah, but his record against
- 21:23Speaker 1: burs he's obscene and gone. Just remind me of last season.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Twenty five points against more than he got against any
- 21:30Speaker 2: other team.
- 21:31Speaker 1: It's all right, I know, I got to sit there
- 21:33Speaker 1: and watch it.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Well on Sunday afternoon, it'll be terrible, but at least
- 21:38Speaker 2: I'll have him, so if he does go off, at
- 21:39Speaker 2: least I can, you know, cry into my But then
- 21:43Speaker 2: he's not.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Going to face Ben Davies like he did last season
- 21:47Speaker 4: in the Dtenham Stadium. This is this is a doggie.
- 21:49Speaker 4: This is different.
- 21:50Speaker 3: I think even for Socca himself, it's a different challenge.
- 21:53Speaker 2: That's true.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Are you are you a little bit worried about Arsenal?
- 21:55Speaker 1: Obviously we don't know what's happening with the Oda Garda
- 21:57Speaker 1: at the moment with the ankle injury. Definitely worth keeping artists,
- 22:00Speaker 1: he says about him. But also, no deck can Rice.
- 22:02Speaker 4: In that game. Yeah, yeah, I think so, And I
- 22:05Speaker 4: think Calafiori should be okay, But I don't know if
- 22:08Speaker 4: he would start or not, because he hasn't been a
- 22:10Speaker 4: starter so far.
- 22:11Speaker 1: In my draft team. I'd quite appreciate if he could start.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Well.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I brought him in the drafts. I thought it was
- 22:15Speaker 1: a really wise long term move. Patients.
- 22:19Speaker 3: I think the day.
- 22:21Speaker 4: The day will start, he will stay forever, and I
- 22:23Speaker 4: think he would be great because he goes into midfield.
- 22:25Speaker 3: He can get goals and assist easily.
- 22:28Speaker 4: So I think the day he comes on for Arsenal
- 22:31Speaker 4: and then kind of get that starting position, I think
- 22:34Speaker 4: we should bring him in because really is he would
- 22:37Speaker 4: be that good for them? But I don't I just
- 22:39Speaker 4: don't know how long it will take for Artata to
- 22:42Speaker 4: finally put him and start him for every game. It
- 22:44Speaker 4: could be Sunday, it could be the week after against City,
- 22:46Speaker 4: or more likely, I think you let those two games
- 22:49Speaker 4: go and you play players who've been in those fixtures before,
- 22:52Speaker 4: not like Calafiori, and then after that it's easier for
- 22:55Speaker 4: him I guess, to settle in and play then against
- 22:58Speaker 4: the two really the two toughest away games that Arsenal
- 23:02Speaker 4: will have all the season, aware and aware City that
- 23:04Speaker 4: it doesn't get tougher than that for them. So I
- 23:07Speaker 4: don't think I'll have sure starting either. Really.
- 23:10Speaker 2: I just think that Arsenal one of those teams where
- 23:12Speaker 2: if you've invested in them, it doesn't matter what the
- 23:14Speaker 2: fixture is. They are, in FPL terms, fixture proof, like
- 23:19Speaker 2: if it's the same as like the city and the
- 23:20Speaker 2: same city, it's the same as Liverpool. Like if you
- 23:22Speaker 2: spend that level of budget on a player, that's it.
- 23:25Speaker 2: You're back in and you back them to score, whether
- 23:28Speaker 2: they are at home or away, whether they've got the
- 23:30Speaker 2: most difficult fixture, Because you're right, they are the most
- 23:34Speaker 2: difficult away fixtures, mostly because of the noise on Sunday
- 23:38Speaker 2: and the rivalry that's there, but also I just think
- 23:41Speaker 2: that they are the sort of fixtures that if you
- 23:43Speaker 2: want to be the Premier League champions, you have to
- 23:46Speaker 2: go and get something out of those. So sure the
- 23:49Speaker 2: motivation will be there and the underlying stats are there
- 23:53Speaker 2: for soccer as well, Like you started the season really
- 23:55Speaker 2: really well, and he is a big part of the
- 23:57Speaker 2: reason I'm not welld CD it because I don't want
- 23:59Speaker 2: to lose him.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Oh so I can understand when people look at the
- 24:01Speaker 1: next couple of fixtures, but then if you look beyond Angels, yeah,
- 24:05Speaker 1: lesser at home after those fixtures, and then people are
- 24:08Speaker 1: going to be desperate these people that are selling them.
- 24:10Speaker 1: By the way, Sleep is the eleventh most sold ode
- 24:12Speaker 1: goards the fifteenth. We have mentioned that potentially he's got
- 24:14Speaker 1: an injury worth keeping tabs on that one, and Haitz
- 24:17Speaker 1: is the nineteenth. Have Its surprised me a little bit
- 24:19Speaker 1: because I thought he would be an obvious one to
- 24:21Speaker 1: bring into the attack to cover Sokker. But people are
- 24:24Speaker 1: going to be looking at that lesser fixture and all
- 24:26Speaker 1: of a sudden going ah, okay, at least you've got
- 24:29Speaker 1: two yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 4: Yeah. The thing I would say with Hartz and obviously
- 24:33Speaker 4: I brought him in the team before the the guard
- 24:36Speaker 4: potential injury is that if the guard is up for
- 24:37Speaker 4: the game on Sunday, Harveds could be dropped from the
- 24:41Speaker 4: number nine position, where it's obviously better for us in
- 24:43Speaker 4: the game in terms of him being in goal scoring positions. Yeah,
- 24:47Speaker 4: to a deeper midfielder road because you will have probably
- 24:50Speaker 4: in your party and then you need Habits there if
- 24:53Speaker 4: there's no Rice certainly and then potentially no other guard,
- 24:56Speaker 4: and then it's not the same threat from Harvards if
- 24:58Speaker 4: he plays in an eight, then if you as a nine.
- 25:00Speaker 1: So if that happens, who will benefit in terms of
- 25:03Speaker 1: arsenal attackers.
- 25:04Speaker 3: So then I think there'd be even more emphasis on Soaka.
- 25:07Speaker 4: To go back to the point where because I think
- 25:10Speaker 4: especially with our Harves, I guess can play there not
- 25:13Speaker 4: shore gabrill Jes's fitness yet And then you've got the
- 25:16Speaker 4: rhyme Sterling kind of wild card as in wild cards.
- 25:20Speaker 4: Could he start in a game like this, is it
- 25:21Speaker 4: fit enough to could he play as a first nine,
- 25:23Speaker 4: potentially more likely as a left winger, And then even
- 25:29Speaker 4: for us in the game, I think Sterling a bit
- 25:31Speaker 4: like Sancho or Chelsea is just the name. Talking about
- 25:34Speaker 4: new signings player we haven't seen yet in the new
- 25:36Speaker 4: team we mentioned thirty before. You can go to Lacquas
- 25:38Speaker 4: Crystal Palace and Katya with Palace, Warprowse with Forest, those
- 25:43Speaker 4: guys that we haven't seen yet really with their teams
- 25:45Speaker 4: because of when the transfer was so late, but that
- 25:48Speaker 4: we need to keep an eye on. And what if
- 25:49Speaker 4: Sterling was to have a great role somehow somewhere in
- 25:53Speaker 4: the game on Sunday for example.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Okay, so sell Arsenal, but because actually don't sell, and
- 26:01Speaker 1: if you're going to, you just need to be very aware,
- 26:03Speaker 1: don't you Sam of maybe having a long term plan
- 26:05Speaker 1: and keeping cover if you can't get to soccer, is
- 26:08Speaker 1: it about keeping covering some other capacity?
- 26:09Speaker 2: I mean, I think if you want to, if you
- 26:11Speaker 2: want to be really brave and do the next two
- 26:14Speaker 2: weeks because it's Spurs in their man city without them, fine,
- 26:18Speaker 2: but be aware of the fixture from game week six
- 26:22Speaker 2: and know that when you hit game week six you
- 26:24Speaker 2: have to have a plan. Now it might be to
- 26:25Speaker 2: do what yours is doing, and that's to have the transfers.
- 26:28Speaker 2: I mean, hopefully you don't get any injuries.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Now and have the transfer you're going to You're trying
- 26:32Speaker 1: to bank all of your transfers.
- 26:36Speaker 3: This plan.
- 26:37Speaker 2: It's all about talent vision. But unless you've got an injury,
- 26:43Speaker 2: then that's fine, right, But if you if you, if
- 26:46Speaker 2: you can, then you just need a plan. You need
- 26:48Speaker 2: some transfers in the bank. You need to know come
- 26:50Speaker 2: game week six, who am I sacrificing and how am
- 26:54Speaker 2: I investing in Arsenal, because there's absolutely no way that
- 26:57Speaker 2: you want to go from game week six onwards without
- 26:59Speaker 2: having Arsenal players in. So if you want soccer in
- 27:02Speaker 2: and your wild carding at the moment, work out what
- 27:05Speaker 2: the strategy is going to be. Because obviously, for me,
- 27:07Speaker 2: if I took him out right now to buy Salah,
- 27:09Speaker 2: I could World Card in six. And that's what a
- 27:11Speaker 2: lot of people are.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Going to do.
- 27:12Speaker 2: They're going to World Card in six to bring in
- 27:13Speaker 2: Arsenal assets. I've already got to so I probably won't.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I'll probably just play through it if possible. But I
- 27:21Speaker 2: think that is something to be really mindful of, is
- 27:23Speaker 2: you just have to have some sort of plan and
- 27:25Speaker 2: know how you get in the budget.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Okay, that was a good little arsenal chat. Then you
- 27:29Speaker 1: know what time is it is? Now we should we
- 27:31Speaker 1: should cut that because do you know what time it is?
- 27:38Speaker 2: It's time to talk about arsenal? She was dogging.
- 27:41Speaker 1: No, no, we've done the arsenal. You know what it's
- 27:44Speaker 1: time to do.
- 27:45Speaker 2: It's a differential time the end, okay for those of you.
- 27:50Speaker 1: The radio silence then, Also because Sam has just put
- 27:53Speaker 1: her head in her hands, Sam do a little update.
- 27:56Speaker 2: But he was just moaning before we went on.
- 27:58Speaker 3: I just would like to appear moaning to the decision.
- 28:03Speaker 2: No, you can't appeal because at the end of two
- 28:06Speaker 2: that pod, Kelly specifically said, George, you can only have one.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Who do you remember?
- 28:14Speaker 3: Side you said?
- 28:16Speaker 4: Because like you know, I was about to go to
- 28:19Speaker 4: the beach, and then I thought, I thought, I said semenial,
- 28:21Speaker 4: but maybe would you like sure, can we play it
- 28:25Speaker 4: produ Okay? Maybe I said, he.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Will be maybe no hundred per anyway, but I'd have
- 28:31Speaker 2: to go back and listen.
- 28:32Speaker 3: I think I deserved at least a few more points.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Of us already.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Come back.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Somebody has to referee this.
- 28:43Speaker 1: There is a vacancy going for a new host. I'm done,
- 28:46Speaker 1: I'm out of here. I didn't also speak when I
- 28:49Speaker 1: walked out the door, and guys, producer Jesse couldn't be
- 28:54Speaker 1: here today because he's on holiday. The rest of us
- 28:56Speaker 1: had to be here in person. Apparently doesn't apply to him,
- 28:58Speaker 1: so fine, But he did tell me before the podcast
- 29:01Speaker 1: that I was not allowed to accept to from you.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I was also not allowed to accept any arguments. So
- 29:05Speaker 1: if we could just leap stop us arguing one person?
- 29:09Speaker 1: Who did Jewels actually go with last week?
- 29:11Speaker 3: Sam?
- 29:11Speaker 1: Don't interrupt Jeels? He went with a waby and you
- 29:14Speaker 1: went with inmo?
- 29:15Speaker 3: How did I be?
- 29:16Speaker 4: Do you got to.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Do six?
- 29:22Speaker 4: Did I?
- 29:22Speaker 2: He got fourteen?
- 29:24Speaker 1: What does that mean? That means it means for me?
- 29:27Speaker 4: Didn't you mention another name as well?
- 29:29Speaker 2: He was my backup?
- 29:30Speaker 4: He was?
- 29:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 29:31Speaker 1: So yes, okay, firstly with you men, a good pick.
- 29:34Speaker 1: He's actually made it into your wild card team. Yeah yeah,
- 29:37Speaker 1: well done yourself. Yeah yeah, but didn't back himself enough
- 29:41Speaker 1: to actually pick pick him.
- 29:43Speaker 4: Anyway? Yeah yeah, I could have.
- 29:45Speaker 1: So that's how you went with last week? Who are
- 29:47Speaker 1: you guying with this week?
- 29:49Speaker 4: Nicole Jackson, Nicole Williams if you want to call him
- 29:52Speaker 4: at this stage, I'm not for anymore. Seven for six millions,
- 29:55Speaker 4: so he's a bit expensive compared to another forward if
- 29:59Speaker 4: you want, owned by six point one percent of the manager.
- 30:03Speaker 4: So far back to back return now from him, and yes,
- 30:06Speaker 4: I know he misses a lot of chances. I know
- 30:08Speaker 4: that it's not always the best in terms of positioning
- 30:11Speaker 4: and in his own game, but it seems in good
- 30:14Speaker 4: form they've got with away Chelsea. And as we've mentioned
- 30:16Speaker 4: as well, it's not just for this week with the
- 30:18Speaker 4: Chelsea asset, like Nico, it's also for the few games
- 30:21Speaker 4: to come. So he's got good starts overall. It's at
- 30:26Speaker 4: the ball, a lot in the box. He's got a
- 30:27Speaker 4: lot of shots and everything. Yet he's not clinical enough.
- 30:30Speaker 4: But we know that, so be ready for a bit
- 30:33Speaker 4: of a roller coaster if you bring him into your team,
- 30:35Speaker 4: or if you already have him, if you're the six
- 30:37Speaker 4: person of him, because he's going to be really.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Frustrating because he's looking straight, chancing to each other. Whereas
- 30:47Speaker 1: just like, no, listen to me.
- 30:49Speaker 2: It's like to be president or something.
- 30:52Speaker 3: It's just like I know how.
- 30:54Speaker 4: Jackson, don't listen to them to just go for a
- 30:57Speaker 4: nickel Williams or not the nickel was Burg.
- 31:00Speaker 1: If you like, because you remember me talking about my
- 31:03Speaker 1: friend that brought in the wrong jotter, you.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Don't mean you can't bring in the other two around
- 31:08Speaker 2: in the race.
- 31:09Speaker 3: So Nicole Jackson for me, Okay, thank you very much.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Sam.
- 31:12Speaker 2: I didn't have him as any of mine. So she's delighted,
- 31:15Speaker 2: I know, right, And I've got Andy Robertson, Okay this week,
- 31:18Speaker 2: come stop moaning six.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Any other world class player like no, because.
- 31:24Speaker 1: What she's done there, I'm not taking sides, but Trent
- 31:27Speaker 1: is the one that we're all talking about.
- 31:28Speaker 3: She's given is not under ten percent.
- 31:31Speaker 1: No, no, But what I'm saying is then she's looked
- 31:33Speaker 1: and found someone else that is lesser an alternative. It's
- 31:37Speaker 1: a very useful tip.
- 31:38Speaker 4: For manager have it or something who was like nine
- 31:41Speaker 4: point eight percent and it's got to be okay, Sorry,
- 31:44Speaker 4: and Robertson.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I'm going to ask produce Jesse to find out how
- 31:49Speaker 1: many people switch off at this point in the pot,
- 31:50Speaker 1: because if I want to walk out, there's a lot
- 31:52Speaker 1: of people.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Know exactly where I'm coming from.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Anyway, you go, Andy Robertson, He's going to face Forest
- 31:58Speaker 2: and who they've beaten in all of the last three
- 32:00Speaker 2: Premier League matches between them in that time. Liverpool's called
- 32:02Speaker 2: seven gals they kept too clean sheet and Robbo's also
- 32:04Speaker 2: got an assist in that time in those matches. He
- 32:07Speaker 2: started the season with three consecutive clean sheets. Obviously, most
- 32:10Speaker 2: people are going to look at Trent, but if you
- 32:12Speaker 2: can't afford Trent, then Robertson's a decent option and they're
- 32:14Speaker 2: the only team in the league that have so far
- 32:16Speaker 2: kept those three cleans. He's also had two attempts on goal,
- 32:18Speaker 2: both of them coming from inside the box and one
- 32:20Speaker 2: of them's a big chance. Created five chances for the
- 32:23Speaker 2: Liverpool teammates. Only Trent has created more chances than that Liverpool.
- 32:26Speaker 2: So I think if you are struggling to get a
- 32:30Speaker 2: Liverpool defender because you can't afford Trent, then I really
- 32:33Speaker 2: like the robbover. I think the way that they're playing
- 32:35Speaker 2: is good. Eighteen crosses so far more than any other defender.
- 32:38Speaker 2: He's going to get some attacking returns and there should
- 32:41Speaker 2: be plenty of clean sheets.
- 32:42Speaker 1: So why are you not going with him them? Why
- 32:44Speaker 1: are you going for Trent instead?
- 32:45Speaker 2: Because I can afford Trent, and I think that you
- 32:47Speaker 2: can afford because the way that Liverpool are playing. Trent
- 32:51Speaker 2: is the most attacking and has the set piece threat
- 32:53Speaker 2: as well, which Robbo doesn't have. But at six million
- 32:57Speaker 2: and as a differential in the game, you can go
- 33:01Speaker 2: for Robertson and have good pick from me Liverpool basically
- 33:06Speaker 2: the Liverpool attack but with a defender.
- 33:08Speaker 1: But you've not got any Liverpool defense in.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Your worldco No, but Robertson is definitely a good chart
- 33:12Speaker 4: as we said, if you want to move Pedro out
- 33:15Speaker 4: for example, for Robertson or even Saliba, considering again the
- 33:18Speaker 4: two games against Spurs and City both aware where Arsenal
- 33:22Speaker 4: can get clean sheets in both. But I think it's
- 33:25Speaker 4: still very like we are very unlikely then Robertson for Saliba,
- 33:29Speaker 4: even just for now, even just for the next two weeks,
- 33:31Speaker 4: if you prefer, then I think it's a good idea to.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Bring it back to the Semeno conversation because we did
- 33:36Speaker 1: mention him on your world card, Sam, we had a
- 33:39Speaker 1: mill smith Row. You've still got a mellsmith Row at
- 33:41Speaker 1: me correct. Yeah, don't are very happy about Jos and I.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I'm the five point five million midfielder club because I've
- 33:50Speaker 1: also got Morgan Rodgers who Joels has also got. If
- 33:52Speaker 1: we're looking in that price bracket before, maybe those two
- 33:55Speaker 1: would have been head and shoulders above maybe the likes
- 33:58Speaker 1: of Semnia. But would you now say you're looking for
- 34:00Speaker 1: a five point five point six million midfielder, semno is
- 34:03Speaker 1: the best option?
- 34:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he's up there. Definitely, There's him, There's Minta.
- 34:07Speaker 2: I think those two are probably probably the standouts. Maybe
- 34:11Speaker 2: a Nana as well. At Aston Video's putting his hand
- 34:13Speaker 2: on to be kind of considered. I think put him
- 34:17Speaker 2: in my draft this week. He's the same price as Rogers.
- 34:19Speaker 1: As you can tell, I'm taking draft series.
- 34:21Speaker 2: You're enjoying your draft game this year of that lake,
- 34:24Speaker 2: it's quite nice.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so.
- 34:27Speaker 2: I think that there's a bit of a changing of
- 34:28Speaker 2: for God in that five and a half bracket in
- 34:31Speaker 2: terms of like we've got. And that's why game Week's
- 34:33Speaker 2: three game, we four game with five they're really useful
- 34:35Speaker 2: for us because you start to get an understanding of
- 34:37Speaker 2: the teams in good form, the players in good form,
- 34:39Speaker 2: the positions that they're going to take in the pitch,
- 34:40Speaker 2: and where they're going to play for those teams. So yeah,
- 34:43Speaker 2: I think so. I think Semno is looking like a
- 34:45Speaker 2: really really nice option right now.
- 34:47Speaker 1: It's also a really nice price bracket this year because
- 34:49Speaker 1: there are some nice options in there, and it's a
- 34:51Speaker 1: price bracket we need to look in. Maybe in previous
- 34:53Speaker 1: years we'd have looked at six point five as being
- 34:56Speaker 1: our cheaper midfielder, but now with this whole Salah Harland conundrum,
- 34:59Speaker 1: it's not mused to have those options, isn't it yours?
- 35:01Speaker 1: And you must have you must have kind of not
- 35:03Speaker 1: had a headache, But it's nice to have a few
- 35:04Speaker 1: options to pick from.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Me.
- 35:06Speaker 4: You're right, and you look and if you can't afford
- 35:08Speaker 4: the menu. For example, justin Clover has done quite well.
- 35:11Speaker 4: At five point four, you've got a Jacob Murphy who okay,
- 35:14Speaker 4: it's probably more of a sot.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Thought it was going to be better than he was.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Yeah, very good and he might His entrance against Spurs
- 35:21Speaker 3: was was decisive and really good.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Had him on my draft, but I sold him for.
- 35:26Speaker 4: Is another one done? Great?
- 35:28Speaker 1: Yea?
- 35:29Speaker 4: If you like sold him?
- 35:30Speaker 1: Is that the word you use in draft? Yeah? Okay,
- 35:32Speaker 1: good transaction, isn't it? Yeah?
- 35:36Speaker 4: But yeah, like that, I think there's really some good
- 35:37Speaker 4: options that you can find around that price of the
- 35:42Speaker 4: between five to one and five five. Really, if you've
- 35:44Speaker 4: got he.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Will be that's we go there again from Biden.
- 35:50Speaker 4: If you're going for me Toma and if you prefer
- 35:53Speaker 4: ding right to mint it this is also possible. So yeah,
- 35:55Speaker 4: there's a there's a lot of really really good options
- 35:57Speaker 4: that you can get.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Okay, let's move on then to transfers and captain's best
- 36:01Speaker 1: of luck, I should say, with your differentials, please can
- 36:04Speaker 1: there be no arguments next week? That's like, yeah, transfers
- 36:07Speaker 1: and captains then obviously last week was more of an overview.
- 36:10Speaker 1: We didn't have this section, but it is just a
- 36:11Speaker 1: few days until game week four resumes. Who are going
- 36:15Speaker 1: with Well, for captain you've got It's going to be hard,
- 36:19Speaker 1: isn't it for us?
- 36:20Speaker 3: This week? Ye?
- 36:21Speaker 1: Because if you have Salah, you captain Seala right, yeah,
- 36:25Speaker 1: your captain in my so it's.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Him or Harland home to Branford. Really, but yeah, I
- 36:29Speaker 4: think Sala against Forest it is probably really terrified about that.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I'm terrified about it. But there will be people that
- 36:39Speaker 1: don't have Harland as well, and also at least Harland
- 36:41Speaker 1: has a nice fixture. Imagine if Harland was going away
- 36:43Speaker 1: to Arsenal and.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Halen is back to back.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Though he could not against Time with Norway which was
- 36:50Speaker 3: really bad and he was bad. Then you got.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Against Austria on Tuesday.
- 36:58Speaker 1: My point is, I think we'd feel a lot worse
- 37:00Speaker 1: about it if Harle had a different fixture, having Brentford
- 37:03Speaker 1: at home. It could be it could be a trip
- 37:05Speaker 1: to Arsenal.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and look, he is still only forty two percent owned,
- 37:10Speaker 2: so it's not like he's owned by seventy percent of
- 37:13Speaker 2: the game Salah, And I think that's the other thing
- 37:14Speaker 2: that in previous seasons, like if you didn't have Salah,
- 37:17Speaker 2: it really hurts. This is going to hurt, but as
- 37:21Speaker 2: long as Harlan does as well, it's going to cover itself.
- 37:24Speaker 2: I mean, obviously I'd rather be in a position where
- 37:26Speaker 2: I've got both.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Of them, but that's a headache as well. But I
- 37:32Speaker 1: think I think you'll go Salah.
- 37:33Speaker 2: It could be Bey because he'll want to be different
- 37:35Speaker 2: to us. Yeah, and he knows we don't have Salad.
- 37:38Speaker 2: If you if you can men differential, yeah, I mean
- 37:42Speaker 2: I think there are other options though this week, like
- 37:44Speaker 2: if you if you are one of those people that's
- 37:46Speaker 2: options gone without any of Salo, I mean Salo and
- 37:50Speaker 2: Harlan and the standouts. But if you're brave, like you've
- 37:53Speaker 2: got Parma, who has got a relatively nice fixture, you've
- 37:56Speaker 2: got Choppins, who's got a nice fixture like there are
- 38:00Speaker 2: rather options that you could.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Go to Pedro, home to Ipswich if he plays, because
- 38:05Speaker 4: again and he played forty five minutes on Wednesday year
- 38:10Speaker 4: the second half against Baraguay did did very little. But yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 4: so home to Ipswich for Brighton, it's hard to get
- 38:18Speaker 4: better than that.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I'm going to Harland. I'm going hard, We're going holding.
- 38:21Speaker 1: We don't have salad. Let's be honest, it's not a
- 38:23Speaker 1: press that is an option? Is he an option for
- 38:26Speaker 1: this week? If you don't have salad, does it cover it?
- 38:28Speaker 2: I think Lewis das is an option as well.
- 38:29Speaker 1: If you've got Lewis, would you not wish you had
- 38:32Speaker 1: Lewis ds rather than Jotta at the moments.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Plays to play twice nineteen minutes with Columbia's And also.
- 38:39Speaker 2: I don't think it's worth the sideways transfer of those
- 38:41Speaker 2: two if your wildcarding is totally different. But I think
- 38:44Speaker 2: if you're just not wildcarding, I don't.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Think if you're wildcarding and you were committing to go
- 38:48Speaker 1: without Salah, because some managers will still be wildcarding and
- 38:52Speaker 1: maybe thinking maybe it's to get Harland in or something.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I don't know, and maybe they've decided that they can
- 38:56Speaker 1: cover Salah. Would he as be the best option?
- 38:59Speaker 4: Now? Trent probably can cover Salad to be fair in
- 39:02Speaker 4: a way, And I know it's still a lot of
- 39:04Speaker 4: money that you are committing to those two players, But
- 39:07Speaker 4: if you don't want Sala for whatever reason, going for
- 39:10Speaker 4: Trent and the ads.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Almost I mean the as and trends. I know, I
- 39:15Speaker 3: those two players VI once.
- 39:17Speaker 4: It's slightly different, but could get you more points than
- 39:19Speaker 4: Salah on a weekly basis, you know, So that's another
- 39:23Speaker 4: good option, even if that means that its actually two
- 39:27Speaker 4: players to cover for one. So I know, I understand
- 39:30Speaker 4: the unbalance of it, but it's still I guess the
- 39:32Speaker 4: best option really is to go for Trent.
- 39:34Speaker 1: And nice option, but we wouldn't do it, you know.
- 39:37Speaker 1: But yeah, just trying to offer up different different solutions
- 39:40Speaker 1: for people, I guess because all of our teams will
- 39:42Speaker 1: be different. Okay, then transfers, Sam, are you ever going
- 39:45Speaker 1: to make that transfer. Yeah, that's the one you're going
- 39:48Speaker 1: to do.
- 39:48Speaker 2: I've got a hundred palio.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:51Speaker 2: I mean I can go Barcoe to Trent. I've got
- 39:53Speaker 2: the money in the bank to do that. I show off,
- 39:55Speaker 2: but I don't think I want to do that.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I think, sorry, but that some upgrade apply the on
- 40:00Speaker 1: the loan, not even in this country to one of
- 40:01Speaker 1: the best right back.
- 40:04Speaker 2: I could do that. I could go, but then I've
- 40:05Speaker 2: got more headaches and I think I'd rather keep the
- 40:08Speaker 2: money for later. I kind of waited just in case.
- 40:10Speaker 2: So there was a moment where I thought England don't
- 40:12Speaker 2: play till Tuesday night. If soccer was to get injured.
- 40:15Speaker 2: I had the money to go Soccer to Salah, but
- 40:16Speaker 2: I didn't want to do it if soccer was fit.
- 40:18Speaker 2: So I've now and now we've got for internationals. I
- 40:21Speaker 2: think I'm just going to do Vardi to Trent. That's
- 40:23Speaker 2: what I've been talking about for two weeks. So I
- 40:25Speaker 2: think that's what well I am bringing in Trent. It's
- 40:27Speaker 2: just Barcoe or.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I can do that. But I'm toying with whether I
- 40:30Speaker 1: go Vardel to Robertson just to keep a little bit
- 40:34Speaker 1: of money in my bank. But I don't know, and
- 40:36Speaker 1: also because I don't want to do exactly the same
- 40:38Speaker 1: as you.
- 40:41Speaker 4: I think it's a fair move to go from Vardo
- 40:43Speaker 4: to Trent considering their prices at this time of this season,
- 40:47Speaker 4: after it has been quite disappointing start from we did.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm doing.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Okay, Jeels, You've made a lot of transfers. Anything else
- 40:58Speaker 1: you would like to.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Come, I mean, be Robertson could come, and then.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Maybe that Basically the whole of that midfield.
- 41:05Speaker 4: Is different Rogers, right, Yeah, Rogers are kept and the
- 41:09Speaker 4: rest is different. And the thing is if the Guard
- 41:11Speaker 4: is really ruled out by for Sunday, yeah, what do
- 41:13Speaker 4: you do? Then? Then Harvards as a number eight, I
- 41:16Speaker 4: don't trust him as merch, so I could go for
- 41:19Speaker 4: somebody else like a Pedro Poro that then gives me
- 41:22Speaker 4: more money.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Them.
- 41:33Speaker 4: So has as an Ad is not as appealing obviously.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Then as him if I had God's billed out, because.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Then then after that they play City and if the
- 41:41Speaker 4: guard is out for those two games, then I'm like, okay,
- 41:45Speaker 4: So then I do probably Nicole Jackson or John Pedro
- 41:50Speaker 4: and then bring Haards back from game with six basically,
- 41:53Speaker 4: but you need.
- 41:54Speaker 1: To banking all those transfers.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, Okay, the best of smart me.
- 42:02Speaker 4: I'm amazing really my planning.
- 42:05Speaker 1: To be fair, I'm a little bit envious. I do
- 42:06Speaker 1: really like the look of that team, and I know
- 42:08Speaker 1: Sam does doesn't want to admit it. Jules, you're an
- 42:13Speaker 1: Arsenal fan of When it feels like this week, there's
- 42:14Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of attention on Arteta's press conference.
- 42:17Speaker 1: When does he normally hold his.
- 42:20Speaker 4: Yes, but I believe it could be today, even Wednesday, sorry,
- 42:23Speaker 4: Thursday tomorrow because usually we've gone lost, So yeah, it
- 42:27Speaker 4: could be as early as Thursday.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Okay, we'll keep an eye out for all the updates
- 42:30Speaker 1: from that. They'll of course always be on Fantasy Dot,
- 42:33Speaker 1: Premier League Dot, comment on the Premier League app. But yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 1: it feels quite important. Whether o God is fit could
- 42:38Speaker 1: have a big bearing on our other Arsenal assets. Could
- 42:40Speaker 1: be good news for SOCCA, could be good news or
- 42:42Speaker 1: bad news for Haves. We'll have to wait and see.
- 42:45Speaker 1: And in general, I always find I pay a lot
- 42:47Speaker 1: more attention to managers press conferences after an international break
- 42:51Speaker 1: because they might give an indication if the South Americans
- 42:55Speaker 1: are going to play and all those kind of things
- 42:57Speaker 1: that they're quite scary.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, this is the I mean out of an
- 43:00Speaker 2: international breaker is the one I always worry about the
- 43:02Speaker 2: most in terms of like rotation and things like that.
- 43:04Speaker 2: So keep an eye on what the managers have got
- 43:05Speaker 2: to say and try and cover it.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Okay, enjoy the rest of your international breaks, Jiles. You've
- 43:11Speaker 1: actually not been jet setting during this one, have you?
- 43:13Speaker 4: No?
- 43:13Speaker 3: I was supposed to go and I kind of had
- 43:14Speaker 3: a feeling in France will be terrible and they were going.
- 43:16Speaker 4: To tell you.
- 43:18Speaker 1: And what about you? What have you got the next
- 43:19Speaker 1: few days? I other than sitting listening to managers press conference,
- 43:23Speaker 1: I'll put you on the spot there.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I will be listening to all the managers press conferences
- 43:26Speaker 2: and then I will go and I'm going to burs
- 43:28Speaker 2: on Sunday to watch the North.
- 43:30Speaker 4: You're going to be there, Jeels, No, I'm at the
- 43:32Speaker 4: BBC far Alive in Manchester. So that's a good watching.
- 43:35Speaker 2: I can't argue with a football match as well as here.
- 43:37Speaker 2: No one not arguing enough.
- 43:39Speaker 4: But when you go there in the North London Irby
- 43:40Speaker 4: they usually lose.
- 43:41Speaker 1: First and on that night, thank you very much for
- 43:44Speaker 1: everyone who's stayed with us despite all of the arguing.
- 43:47Speaker 1: It's been great to be back in person this week
