- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I am sery Nacky and his time first to go
- 0:04Speaker 2: to God in prayer, and I ask that you always
- 0:08Speaker 2: join with me in prayer. You know, I think about
- 0:11Speaker 2: sometimes in life, if we stop focusing on what everybody
- 0:15Speaker 2: else is doing and run our own race, we wouldn't
- 0:19Speaker 2: be so dissatisfied with our own lives. We look at
- 0:24Speaker 2: other folk children and how accomplished they are, and what
- 0:27Speaker 2: they're doing and all this other stuff, and then all
- 0:29Speaker 2: of a sudden, our children aren't doing enough.
- 0:31Speaker 1: We look at our home, and we look.
- 0:32Speaker 2: At somebody else's home, and all of a sudden, the
- 0:34Speaker 2: home that we live and the home that we're comfortable
- 0:36Speaker 2: and in enough. The car that we drive, all of
- 0:39Speaker 2: a sudden isn't good enough because somebody drives one that's better.
- 0:43Speaker 2: We've got to learn, family, to be satisfied.
- 0:47Speaker 1: We need to.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Stop comparing ourselves to others and be satisfied with who
- 0:51Speaker 2: God created us to be. Now, let me be clear,
- 0:54Speaker 2: I don't mean complacency. I don't mean settling and saying
- 0:58Speaker 2: what I have is good enough. No, So if God
- 1:00Speaker 2: has greater for you, go further greater, but not because
- 1:03Speaker 2: it's what somebody else has see. A complacent person is
- 1:07Speaker 2: very pleased with themselves and feel like they don't need
- 1:10Speaker 2: to do anything else about their situation. The situation can
- 1:14Speaker 2: be horrible and they'll stay right there. The situation can
- 1:17Speaker 2: be dangerous, they'll stay right there. They're complacent. No, that's
- 1:20Speaker 2: not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about being dissatisfied
- 1:23Speaker 2: because you're comparing yourself to somebody else. The Bible says
- 1:27Speaker 2: that satisfaction is a feeling of contentment and that it
- 1:30Speaker 2: comes from having a relationship with God. It also says
- 1:35Speaker 2: that satisfaction can be found in any situation, even if
- 1:39Speaker 2: it's not where you want to be in the future.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You could be satisfied where you are right now.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Philippians four eleven says, not that I'm speaking of being
- 1:48Speaker 2: in need, for I've learned in whatever situation I am
- 1:52Speaker 2: to be content. Hebrews thirteen five says keep your life
- 1:56Speaker 2: free from the love of money and be content with
- 1:59Speaker 2: what you have. It doesn't mean that God doesn't want
- 2:01Speaker 2: you bless It doesn't mean that God doesn't want you
- 2:03Speaker 2: to have money. But see when your whole goal and
- 2:05Speaker 2: everything is focused on money, the love or lust of money,
- 2:10Speaker 2: that's when you got a problem. And then First Timothy
- 2:13Speaker 2: six sixth through eight says godliness with contentment is great gain.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Now let's pray, Father, God, in the name of Jesus Christ,
- 2:21Speaker 2: we come before you with hearts full of gratitude for
- 2:23Speaker 2: the many, many blessings God that you've already given us.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Help us God to focus on the beauty of our
- 2:31Speaker 2: own journey and to trust in your perfect timing for
- 2:34Speaker 2: our lives. That in your perfect time and you're going
- 2:37Speaker 2: to bring to pass all of the promises that you've
- 2:40Speaker 2: made us. Grant us the strength to avoid God, comparing
- 2:44Speaker 2: our lives to other people. Let us see that the
- 2:48Speaker 2: path that you have us on is uniquely ours, and
- 2:52Speaker 2: that we are enough God, just as we are. Protect
- 2:56Speaker 2: us God from the feelings of inadequacy or envy, and
- 3:00Speaker 2: remind us God that our worth is not defined by
- 3:04Speaker 2: what others have or what others do. God, we pray
- 3:08Speaker 2: for hearts that are satisfied with.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Where we are, but not complacent.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Let us find joy God in the present moment and
- 3:16Speaker 2: seek growth in ways that honor You.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Lord.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Let our desires align with your will for our lives.
- 3:22Speaker 1: God.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Let us have the courage God to pursue God your desire,
- 3:28Speaker 2: your will, your planing for our.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Lives, with patience and with faith.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Teach us God to appreciate the journey, to see the
- 3:35Speaker 2: value in every experience. And Lord, let us trust that
- 3:39Speaker 2: all things are working together for our good. God, let
- 3:43Speaker 2: us find peace and knowing that you have a good
- 3:46Speaker 2: plan for our lives, and that that plan is so
- 3:50Speaker 2: good as far above anything we could imagine, ask, or think. God,
- 3:55Speaker 2: we trust in you and we'll be satisfied in you and.
- 3:59Speaker 1: With you in Jesu's name. Amen. Amen,
