- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, from the Star Reynolds Sports Desk, your 93.3 KJR
- 0:04Speaker 1: FM Sports Headlines.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Good morning. Happy Tuesday. Headlines are brought to you by Frostburg.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Of course, I choose chill.
- 0:12Speaker 3: As cold as the Rockies, whatever other tagline they have.
- 0:15Speaker 4: I mean, I love a little chill on a Tuesday.
- 0:17Speaker 5: I don't know if you noticed, but I'm friends with
- 0:20Speaker 5: some traffic reporters, and Tuesdays kind of stink.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Tuesdays are worse than Mondays and Fridays.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Yes.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Yeah, they make a joke. Friday night.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Post-COVID, that is. That never used to be.
- 0:31Speaker 5: Well, I think a lot of hybrid jobs came into
- 0:33Speaker 5: the situation, and Tuesday is definitely a day that people
- 0:36Speaker 5: go to back.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Ours was not a hybrid job. We're here every day,
- 0:40Speaker 2: every weekday, time to noon.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Unless you're at the Seahawks.
- 0:43Speaker 2: That, too. Saturday, Sunday.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Zach Charbonnet speaking to the Seahawks. Started a full week
- 0:48Speaker 3: of full-goal practicing. Coach Mike McDonald says if it goes well,
- 0:51Speaker 3: the running back's going to make his season debut Sunday
- 0:53Speaker 3: night when the Seahawks host Kenneth Walker and his unbeaten Chiefs. Charbonnet,
- 0:57Speaker 3: of course, had reconstructive knee surgery eight months ago. Right
- 1:00Speaker 3: guard Anthony Bradford also practiced yesterday. He has returned from
- 1:04Speaker 3: injured reserve. He's on track to start Sunday night. It's
- 1:07Speaker 3: going to be the first time since the opener September
- 1:09Speaker 3: 9th the Seahawks have had all five of their starting
- 1:11Speaker 3: offensive linemen together.
- 1:13Speaker 2: You know, the five that won the Super Bowl last year.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Let we not forget.
- 1:17Speaker 3: It seems like 15 years ago right now, but it's
- 1:20Speaker 3: only eight months ago. 49ers maintain a three-and-a-half game lead
- 1:23Speaker 3: on the Seahawks. Four-and-a-half games on the Rams atop the
- 1:26Speaker 3: NFC West because they beat the malfunctioning Commanders 23-17. What's
- 1:30Speaker 3: up with your Commanders? Not knowing downs, situations.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Talked to Coach Mack last night, and he was not
- 1:38Speaker 5: very happy with that.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I bet not.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Dan Quinns lost Terry McLaurin last night, got carted off
- 1:44Speaker 3: with a significant knee injury. We'll talk more about that
- 1:48Speaker 3: and much more about the NFL, including the whole Jalen
- 1:51Speaker 3: Hurts situation. Did the Eagles really play him knowing he
- 1:55Speaker 3: had blood clots and then put him on a plane
- 1:57Speaker 3: across the Atlantic knowing he had blood clots?
- 1:59Speaker 4: You're not supposed to.
- 2:01Speaker 2: You're not supposed to. Did that really happen?
- 2:02Speaker 4: Why in that situation?
- 2:03Speaker 5: Well, yeah, this is where we get into the minutiae
- 2:06Speaker 5: of what do we actually know?
- 2:08Speaker 6: And.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Jory Epstein knows. She's going to talk to us at
- 2:11Speaker 2: 11 o'clock.
- 2:11Speaker 3: She talked to a couple medical experts specifically about the
- 2:14Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts case yesterday for her job as a senior
- 2:17Speaker 3: NFL reporter in Yahoo Sports. She talks to us every
- 2:19Speaker 3: Tuesday at 11, and that's going to be one of
- 2:20Speaker 3: the key things I'm talking to her about at 11
- 2:23Speaker 3: o'clock today. The Kraken return to Climate Pledge Arena tonight.
- 2:25Speaker 3: They're going to play the Detroit Red Wings. 640 puck drop.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Remember now they're doing Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, midweek games are
- 2:32Speaker 3: going to be 640 home games.
- 2:35Speaker 2: So 640 puck drop. And a 6 p.m.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Pregame with the captain Mike Benton right here on your
- 2:39Speaker 3: home of the Kraken, 93.3 KJR.
- 2:41Speaker 2: The World Series is set.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I'm all for it. Love it.
- 2:46Speaker 4: I mean, I'm on team brew curve.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Two best teams in the league. The best team in
- 2:51Speaker 2: the American League is going to play the best team
- 2:52Speaker 2: in the National League.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Tampa Bay finished off Cleveland with three straight wins in
- 2:55Speaker 3: the American League Championship Series.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Did you know that this is the first time since 1980, Royals-Phillies,
- 3:02Speaker 2: that a World Series matchup is involving two teams that
- 3:04Speaker 2: have never won it before?
- 3:06Speaker 6: I didn't.
- 3:06Speaker 2: That is cool. Give me some more of that.
- 3:09Speaker 4: That's awesome. And you know what?
- 3:10Speaker 5: MLB will be really excited because they got cross to
- 3:15Speaker 5: mid-country rivalry.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I mean, I'm talking about markets.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It's smaller markets. The TV ratings aren't going to be good.
- 3:22Speaker 3: But guess what? This is the last baseball they're going
- 3:24Speaker 3: to play in maybe forever. The way this labor.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Impasse is coming.
- 3:28Speaker 2: 2027 is a crash shoot.
- 3:30Speaker 3: The lockouts start on December 2nd. So enjoy the World Series.
- 3:33Speaker 3: It's going to be a great one.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Another finals is going on in the WNBA.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Angel Reese had 30.16 rebounds in her Atlanta dream, even
- 3:41Speaker 3: the WNBA finals with the Golden State Valkyries at a
- 3:44Speaker 3: game each last night. College football, the Washington Huskies are
- 3:47Speaker 3: off this week. That's more time for Coach Jed Fish
- 3:49Speaker 3: to keep everyone guessing on who's going to be their
- 3:51Speaker 3: quarterback for the Huskies in their next game against Nebraska.
- 3:54Speaker 3: And the Cornhuskers get to guess along with everybody else.
- 3:58Speaker 3: The Washington State Cougars, Jessamyn's team, is hosting 21st-ranked Boise State,
- 4:02Speaker 3: 3 p.m.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Saturday at Martin Stadium in Pullman.
- 4:04Speaker 4: I'm just glad that's a home game.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Boise's a great place.
- 4:09Speaker 4: No, I love it, but it's a tough place to play.
- 4:11Speaker 2: It sure is.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And in the Champions League, European soccer, Paris Saint-Germain hosting
- 4:17Speaker 3: FC Barcelona today in the featured match amidst civil unrest
- 4:21Speaker 3: and riots going on in Paris right now.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a lot going on there.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Mark Morrison, Return of the Mag for Ensign Sarah Bell
- 4:28Speaker 3: out on USCG Midget in Honolulu.
- 4:31Speaker 4: And someone I'm currently stalking.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Jessamyn McIntyre is stalking Mark Morrison and his agent.
- 4:38Speaker 2: We may get him on the show someday.
- 4:39Speaker 5: I got through several levels of agents, so I'm pretty
- 4:44Speaker 5: proud of myself for getting that far.
- 4:47Speaker 3: If you don't know the backstory, the Return of the
- 4:49Speaker 3: Mag 1990s hit, British singer... And he's elusive, apparently, as
- 4:54Speaker 3: Jessamyn is finding out.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Well, he's also in a different time zone.
- 4:57Speaker 2: True.
- 4:58Speaker 3: And my daughter's, our daughter's favorite song. And it's going
- 5:02Speaker 3: to be a big Friday for us. Our baby girl's
- 5:04Speaker 3: coming home. She's got training in San Francisco, and they
- 5:07Speaker 3: gave her a weekend off, so she's flying through and
- 5:09Speaker 3: going to spend three or four days with the fam
- 5:11Speaker 3: in Seattle.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I should bring her into the studio Friday morning.
- 5:16Speaker 4: I think we should.
- 5:16Speaker 2: She has better things to do, I'm sure, but.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Like sleep in for once because she's working so hard.
- 5:22Speaker 3: That and see all her buddies and, yeah. Go to
- 5:25Speaker 3: go to the pumpkin patch like old times. Oh, that's
- 5:28Speaker 3: such a good fall activity. I know those of you
- 5:30Speaker 3: listening on the text line do pumpkin patches. Tell me
- 5:33Speaker 3: your best one. I go to the one on Eby
- 5:35Speaker 3: Island right out just east of Everett. We've been going
- 5:38Speaker 3: there since, oh, man, since they were in preschool. I
- 5:41Speaker 3: know there's one in Carnation that you cut your own
- 5:44Speaker 3: off the vine I've been told about.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Yeah, there are a couple.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Don't say Safeway.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Text in where the best pumpkin patches are around, because
- 5:53Speaker 3: I'm willing to venture out to different places.
- 5:55Speaker 5: I've definitely done the grocery store ones. It was because
- 5:58Speaker 5: Girl Scouts were doing it. You know, you got to
- 6:01Speaker 5: support them. But no, pumpkin patches are so fun.
- 6:05Speaker 2: That was... Hay rides.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Hay rides, the mazes.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Did I ever tell you the story about the time
- 6:11Speaker 3: John Brockman was at the pumpkin patch? He worked at
- 6:13Speaker 3: Pumpkin Patch. He's from Snohomish, of course.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Well, he can't hide.
- 6:19Speaker 3: No, six, seven, six, eight NBA forward was on a
- 6:22Speaker 3: back of a hayride and he was, he sang a
- 6:26Speaker 3: song and I videoed it.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I mean, I couldn't believe it.
- 6:31Speaker 3: John, John and I, I knew him from when I
- 6:33Speaker 3: was at the university of Washington and I started video
- 6:36Speaker 3: and he was in, and my, my wife was singing
- 6:40Speaker 3: the song the other night.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Cause she remembered it verbatim.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I can't remember it, but it was about getting kids
- 6:44Speaker 3: to sit on the hay bales so that they would
- 6:46Speaker 3: be safe. And to buckle in on the tractor ride
- 6:51Speaker 3: on the hay bales. And he had this silly song videotaped.
- 6:54Speaker 3: And he said, delete that. He looked at me and said,
- 6:57Speaker 3: delete that. He didn't want that going all.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Over the place.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Oh, but how cool. So how old was he when
- 7:03Speaker 4: he was working there?
- 7:04Speaker 2: This was post-NBA career. Oh. He was just coming back
- 7:08Speaker 2: home and helping out friends who owned the farm. That's
- 7:10Speaker 2: so cool.
- 7:11Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 3: The guy owns the pumpkin patch. And I'm just ill-prepared
- 7:14Speaker 3: to talk about this because I can't remember the name
- 7:16Speaker 3: of the pumpkin patch. It's on Eby Island, which is
- 7:18Speaker 3: just east on Route 2, Highway 2 from downtown Everett.
- 7:23Speaker 5: One of the things that I found out about pumpkin
- 7:25Speaker 5: patches is they're not, like, largely populated in one area.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Correct. So you're probably talking about the one.
- 7:31Speaker 2: And it's also word of mouth, right?
- 7:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 2: And most people just know it from friends of a
- 7:35Speaker 2: friend who went. And I heard.
- 7:37Speaker 3: This weekend of one incarnation where you can cut your
- 7:40Speaker 3: own off the vine and put it in a wheelbarrow
- 7:42Speaker 3: and take it out. And then they have little knickknacking
- 7:44Speaker 3: gift shop and hot cider.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And yeah, that's pretty good.
- 7:47Speaker 3: There's one in actually there's one in the squally right
- 7:50Speaker 3: north of Lacey that I used to go to when
- 7:54Speaker 3: we used to live in Olympia.
- 7:55Speaker 2: That was a cool one, too.
- 7:56Speaker 3: So 49451, that's my first Tacoma Dodge text line question.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Give me your best pumpkin patch.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I'm going to take Ensign Bell and her twin brother
- 8:04Speaker 3: Eric to a pumpkin patch on Saturday or Sunday.
- 8:06Speaker 4: We are getting a lot.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Are we? Good.
- 8:10Speaker 6: Good. Good.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Well, the Seahawks have a Sunday night game, of course.
- 8:13Speaker 3: 530 kickoff, 520 kickoff against the Chiefs. So that buys
- 8:16Speaker 3: me a little more time to spend with the family
- 8:18Speaker 3: on Friday. Sunday during the day than normal.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Love that.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll talk about that. It's a Kraken ticket Tuesday.
- 8:23Speaker 2: How's that work?
- 8:25Speaker 3: Every hour, you're going to hear Everett Fitch's goal call,
- 8:28Speaker 3: and you're going to hear the fairy horn that blows
- 8:30Speaker 3: after the Kraken score goal in home games. And when
- 8:34Speaker 3: you get that, you call in a 206-286-9595, and the
- 8:37Speaker 3: 10th caller, when you hear that horn and Everett Fitch's call,
- 8:40Speaker 3: will win a pair of tickets to see the Kraken
- 8:42Speaker 3: play October 28th at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs
- 8:46Speaker 3: at Climate Pledge Arena. We're going to do it every hour,
- 8:49Speaker 3: every day today, right up through Dave Softy Moeller and
- 8:51Speaker 3: Dick Fang's show.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Only on Tuesdays.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Sorry. Every Tuesday.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Every hour today.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Every hour Tuesdays.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Every Tuesday. Cracking Ticket Tuesday. So when you hear the horn,
- 9:00Speaker 3: call in 206-286-9595 to win your chance to win two
- 9:03Speaker 3: tickets October 28th against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tonight, of course,
- 9:07Speaker 3: they're at Climate Pledge Arena, back from that five-game road
- 9:09Speaker 3: trip where they went three wins, one loss, and one
- 9:11Speaker 3: overtime loss on the East Coast. And that was a
- 9:14Speaker 3: great trip. The overtime loss coming against Tampa Bay, a
- 9:17Speaker 3: Stanley Cup contender perennially, and a great start to the
- 9:20Speaker 3: season for the Kraken. Now they get to be home
- 9:23Speaker 3: here for the next, I think it's four out of
- 9:25Speaker 3: the next five or so at Climate Pledge Arena and
- 9:27Speaker 3: starting tonight at 640 against Detroit Red Wings. Also on
- 9:31Speaker 3: the show today, we're going to talk about Zach Charbonnet's return,
- 9:33Speaker 3: what we should and probably should not expect.
- 9:37Speaker 2: He's only been eight months since his knee reconstruction.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Haven't gone through it myself. Eight months is a fast return.
- 9:44Speaker 5: But I think that this team and, you know, not
- 9:47Speaker 5: just the coaching staff, but the medical staff and the
- 9:50Speaker 5: training staff have been.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Really, really concerned.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Or I would just say diligent about his ability to return.
- 9:58Speaker 5: They would never rush him back on purpose. And he
- 10:00Speaker 5: wants to go. And we'll hear from McDonald's about that.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Right.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Charbonnet has had what McDonald's said was a very, very
- 10:08Speaker 3: almost audacious.
- 10:09Speaker 2: He didn't use that word timeline to try to get back.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And why not? Impressive. Do you know why? It's because
- 10:15Speaker 2: it's his contract year.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Every week that clicks by is the end of Zach
- 10:19Speaker 3: Charbonnet's rookie contract. He is in the same situation as
- 10:23Speaker 3: it was Kenneth Walker this time last year. But the difference,
- 10:26Speaker 3: of course, being that Zach Charbonnet has not played in
- 10:28Speaker 3: eight months, nine months, since he got hurt in January
- 10:32Speaker 3: in the playoff game against San Francisco. So this is
- 10:34Speaker 3: his debut. We'll talk about that, his return to practice
- 10:38Speaker 3: this week. Saw him running out on the practice field yesterday,
- 10:40Speaker 3: jogging onto the field, full go to me. Also looking
- 10:43Speaker 3: full go to me was Anthony Bradford. The transformation of
- 10:46Speaker 3: him He was the civic punching bag on the Seahawks
- 10:50Speaker 3: this time last year, and people were posting videos of
- 10:53Speaker 3: him missing pass blocks and just buffooning him online. And
- 10:58Speaker 3: now some people are saying, can we please get Anthony
- 11:00Speaker 3: Bradford back so we can fix our pass protection in
- 11:02Speaker 3: our run game? I mean, he's become that indispensable, apparently.
- 11:08Speaker 3: The coaches have throughout said that they really like him
- 11:10Speaker 3: more than most of you have, and they know. that
- 11:13Speaker 3: this will make this offense better to have all five
- 11:15Speaker 3: of those guys back. No more rotating of Christian Haynes
- 11:17Speaker 3: and Berkey Bo Stevens at right guard. Anthony Bradford is
- 11:21Speaker 3: going to play. Usually Mike McDonald's very coy about his injuries.
- 11:24Speaker 3: He admits that, nah, I'm not going to be coy
- 11:26Speaker 3: with you on this. Bradford's coming back.
- 11:28Speaker 2: He was designated to return from injured reserve to practice
- 11:31Speaker 2: yesterday officially. So that's why he was on the field.
- 11:33Speaker 3: And it looks like he will play on Sunday coming
- 11:37Speaker 3: off of injured reserve. So that will put the first
- 11:40Speaker 3: five starting five offensive linemen on the field together for
- 11:42Speaker 3: the first time since the opener September 9th against New England.
- 11:47Speaker 3: We'll talk about, did the Philadelphia Eagles coaching and medical
- 11:51Speaker 3: staffs really play Jalen Hurts, knowing their quarterback had blood clots,
- 11:56Speaker 3: then flew him across the Atlantic Ocean? The last thing
- 11:59Speaker 3: you do is go into a pressurized, I even know this,
- 12:02Speaker 3: with blood clots in a pressurized cabin and altitude, that's
- 12:05Speaker 3: a bad idea. Blood clots can go all kinds of places,
- 12:08Speaker 3: including your heart. And apparently they've gone into the lungs
- 12:11Speaker 3: of Jalen Hurts.
- 12:13Speaker 2: This is a.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Nick Sirianni was parrying the questions in the Philadelphia media
- 12:19Speaker 3: we're peppering him with yesterday about this whole situation and
- 12:23Speaker 3: what the Eagles knew and what responsibility they have. We're
- 12:26Speaker 3: going to talk at 11 o'clock to Jory Epstein, our
- 12:29Speaker 3: senior NFL reporter from Yahoo Sports, our weekly guest.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Thank you to Zeke's Pizza and Zeke'sPizza.com.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Remember, you've got game day specials of pizzas Monday, Thursday, Thursday.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Saturday, Sunday.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Dude, this is like the best pizza deal I've heard of.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it is a pretty good deal, is it not?
- 12:44Speaker 4: Yeah. Pizza's expensive around here.
- 12:47Speaker 2: It is, by the way. Very expensive pizza in Seattle.
- 12:50Speaker 2: But go to pigskin10 is the promo code.
- 12:53Speaker 3: You enter that at zeeks.com and you get $ 10 off
- 12:56Speaker 3: any delivery or pickup. Rage and deal at zeekspizza, zeekspizza.com
- 13:01Speaker 3: or you can go to Zeek's Pizza on any app,
- 13:03Speaker 3: wherever you find your apps.
- 13:04Speaker 4: I think the major thing on that is $ 10 off
- 13:06Speaker 4: any delivery.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't have to go anywhere.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Well, it's like you don't have.
- 13:11Speaker 5: To go on one of the apps or anything like that.
- 13:14Speaker 4: You can actually get delivery.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I love that.
- 13:16Speaker 3: And Zeke's Pizza brings us Jory every Tuesday. And this Tuesday, today,
- 13:20Speaker 3: they're going to bring Jory talking about Jalen Hurts' situation.
- 13:24Speaker 3: She talked to a couple medical experts about this situation
- 13:27Speaker 3: and the blood clots that are now in Jalen Hurts'
- 13:30Speaker 3: lungs that the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback will miss the rest
- 13:33Speaker 3: of the season. It's gone from superficial clots to end
- 13:38Speaker 3: of the season in his lungs. How did that happen?
- 13:42Speaker 3: The story is just, it's not so much bizarre as
- 13:46Speaker 3: it is really concerning. Is it that important to win
- 13:48Speaker 3: in football that you play a guy with blood clots
- 13:50Speaker 3: that go to his lungs?
- 13:53Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not trying to get into anyone's medical business,
- 13:57Speaker 5: but if you knew about it and you pushed him
- 13:59Speaker 5: out there, I don't know the timeline on the knowledge
- 14:03Speaker 5: of his condition. So I'm not going to, you know, just,
- 14:06Speaker 5: I'm a crime junkie, right? I want to dive into
- 14:08Speaker 5: it and just find that out. But when did they
- 14:11Speaker 5: find out? And did they push him out there? And
- 14:14Speaker 5: I'm excited to hear from Jory because I think she
- 14:16Speaker 5: has more inside track on it.
- 14:18Speaker 3: The pushing is an interesting concept because NFL players, if
- 14:21Speaker 3: you ask them, do you want to play?
- 14:23Speaker 2: They're going to say yes.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Yes.
- 14:25Speaker 3: This is not Major League Baseball where every single contract
- 14:27Speaker 3: is guaranteed for the life of the deal and you
- 14:29Speaker 3: just have a hangnail and take a week off. It's
- 14:30Speaker 3: completely different in the NFL. Now, Jalen Hurts is well compensated,
- 14:34Speaker 3: a Super Bowl champion quarterback, but still, if you tell him,
- 14:38Speaker 3: give him a chance to play or not play, he's
- 14:39Speaker 3: going to play. There's only 17 of these games, and
- 14:41Speaker 3: they go out and don't want to get wally-pipped, and
- 14:43Speaker 3: they're always afraid of losing their jobs and losing their
- 14:45Speaker 3: guaranteed money.
- 14:47Speaker 2: It's the nature of the NFL.
- 14:48Speaker 3: So if they left it up to him, and of
- 14:50Speaker 3: course he said yes, there's also a cachet inside the
- 14:53Speaker 3: locker room of playing hurt, and guys get their stock
- 14:56Speaker 3: rises dramatically when you play hurt, and everybody in the
- 14:59Speaker 3: locker room knows you're hurt.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Hurt and a blood clots.
- 15:02Speaker 3: In your lungs are completely different things, of course. We're
- 15:05Speaker 3: going to talk to Joy at 11 o'clock. She's at
- 15:06Speaker 3: the owners meetings. There's league meetings going on in New
- 15:08Speaker 3: York this weekend or this week. And she is at
- 15:11Speaker 3: those today in Manhattan. She'll talk to us at 11 o'clock.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Thanks to Zeke's Pizza and Zeke'sPizza.com. 1130, we'll read back
- 15:17Speaker 3: your texts like we do every day of the time
- 15:19Speaker 3: on the Tacoma Dodge text line. In the meantime, I'm
- 15:21Speaker 3: going to be reading about these pumpkin patches you're all
- 15:23Speaker 3: peppering me with.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I appreciate that.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I might go to one.
- 15:27Speaker 9: Good.
- 15:28Speaker 2: That was the purpose of bringing that up for everyone
- 15:30Speaker 2: to share and maybe other people could go too. Love it.
- 15:33Speaker 3: So come on out to text line 49451 and we'll
- 15:36Speaker 3: do talkbacks. You can go to the iHeartRadio app, 933KJR,
- 15:39Speaker 3: or our website, 933KJR. com, and you can leave a 30-second
- 15:42Speaker 3: talkback message with the red microphone button.
- 15:44Speaker 2: By the way, our website, 933KJR. com, is undergoing a little
- 15:50Speaker 2: bit of a change lately. My new writing vocation is
- 15:53Speaker 2: to post to our website, 933KJR.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Com, so the things you're used to seeing And my
- 15:58Speaker 3: former employer, who will remain nameless, well.
- 16:01Speaker 2: It's now on KJR. It's on 933KJR. com.
- 16:07Speaker 3: I have a couple stories from yesterday about the Zach
- 16:09Speaker 3: Charbonnet situation, about Sam Donald and why the Seahawks are
- 16:12Speaker 3: sticking with him as quarterback over Drew Locke for the
- 16:15Speaker 3: Kansas City game and probably beyond.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I asked more yesterday about Mike McDonald about that and
- 16:21Speaker 2: his leadership.
- 16:22Speaker 4: By the way, if you go to our website, 933KJR.
- 16:24Speaker 5: Com, You will find Read Greg Bell on the Hawks.
- 16:29Speaker 5: That is the first thing that pops up if you
- 16:32Speaker 5: just scroll down a little bit.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Just below the lead story.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Just below the lead story, which gets populated from corporate,
- 16:38Speaker 5: so don't judge us on that.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Well, and every time I write a Seahawks story, it
- 16:41Speaker 3: does go to the lead story, and it stays up
- 16:43Speaker 3: there for a while until I've.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Heard something else.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Well, if you went today, just giving people just the
- 16:48Speaker 5: diagnosis on how to do it, and it is really great.
- 16:51Speaker 5: So Greg Bell, and then you can also find his podcast.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a little section there with a little picture
- 16:57Speaker 3: that looks like I'm 12 years old.
- 16:59Speaker 2: What do you mean? You look good. Which means it
- 17:02Speaker 2: was a long time ago.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Training camp tan is what I would call that.
- 17:07Speaker 4: You got a tan.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a while ago.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Who cares?
- 17:10Speaker 2: You look good. Well, thank you.
- 17:11Speaker 3: 1135 Factor Fiction brought to you by the Lucky Eagle
- 17:14Speaker 3: Casino Hotel. It's Jessamyn's pick today, and she's going to
- 17:16Speaker 3: go NFL because she has morals and integrity and doesn't
- 17:20Speaker 3: do anything college football because she's employed by college football.
- 17:23Speaker 5: No but just i have a smidge of those things
- 17:25Speaker 5: that you just say but yes i do not do
- 17:26Speaker 5: college football.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Speaking of i asked the text line as well 49451
- 17:31Speaker 3: i'll ask you miss college football sideline reporter what do
- 17:34Speaker 3: you think of the 2014 playoff.
- 17:37Speaker 5: I mean there's gives and takes there's plus and minuses
- 17:40Speaker 5: um i don't like it hate it i don't hate
- 17:43Speaker 5: it i just don't like it hated.
- 17:45Speaker 2: It where's that from Hated it.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Oh, gosh.
- 17:48Speaker 2: What's that from?
- 17:48Speaker 4: I know all the movies.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Hated it. At the movies. You're right. It was a
- 17:54Speaker 2: segment of what show?
- 17:56Speaker 4: SNL?
- 17:56Speaker 7: No.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Close, though. I mean, same genre.
- 17:59Speaker 4: Mad TV.
- 18:00Speaker 6: No, no.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Damn it. 49451 is another thing for the text. I
- 18:03Speaker 2: hated it.
- 18:04Speaker 4: I know the drop.
- 18:05Speaker 6: I just.
- 18:06Speaker 2: If I said who it was that said it, it
- 18:08Speaker 2: would give away the show. So I'm not going to
- 18:10Speaker 2: say who.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Okay, so it was a show. So in the SNL genre.
- 18:14Speaker 4: A series.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Late 80s, early 90s. Oh, okay.
- 18:17Speaker 10: Neon.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I am not getting it. Hip hop music. Rosie Perez. Choreography.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Jennifer Lopez's start as a dancer.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Just say it.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Hated it.
- 18:30Speaker 4: I've only heard the drop. I don't think I watched
- 18:32Speaker 4: the show. Let me tell you something.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Was also on that.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Nope, don't got it. Okay, come on. Someone text in.
- 18:40Speaker 2: I said Man TV. Oh, no!
- 18:44Speaker 4: Oh, in Living Color.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Thank you, man.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, that took me so long. I'm so
- 18:47Speaker 4: sorry for everyone out there.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Man landed on the moon by the time you answered
- 18:50Speaker 3: that question.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Yep, well, another Jim Carrey reference.
- 18:54Speaker 2: That's okay. That's okay. Yeah, Jim Carrey, the Waynons brothers.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I knew if I said Damon Waynons and the Waynons brothers,
- 19:00Speaker 2: it would give it away.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Yeah, no, that was a good call. I knew I
- 19:02Speaker 4: would get there. I'm just a little slow this Tuesday.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Men on Film was the was the segment.
- 19:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Okay. And by the way, thank you, Texter, from the 425.
- 19:13Speaker 5: I got it before you texted in.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 19:14Speaker 3: And then, yeah, so we're doing NFL 1135, your chance
- 19:18Speaker 3: to win $ 1, 000 from Lucky Eagle Casino in a hotel.
- 19:20Speaker 2: And then. Ian's going to come in.
- 19:25Speaker 3: He's probably going to be in his dress clothes because
- 19:26Speaker 3: it's a TV day, right? Because he's got crack and
- 19:28Speaker 3: hockey tonight.
- 19:29Speaker 4: He's going to look fly as heck.
- 19:31Speaker 3: He'll have his hair done. He won't have a ball
- 19:32Speaker 3: cap on. He'll have his salt and pepper hair going.
- 19:35Speaker 4: He really wears that well, doesn't he?
- 19:37Speaker 2: He rocks it, doesn't he?
- 19:38Speaker 6: Yes.
- 19:38Speaker 3: And then he's going to have a white collared shirt
- 19:40Speaker 3: under a pullover and a tie untucked and undone because
- 19:43Speaker 3: he doesn't want.
- 19:44Speaker 2: To tie it yet.
- 19:44Speaker 4: No, then it wrinkles.
- 19:45Speaker 2: And the top collar would be undone. That'll be him
- 19:48Speaker 2: at 11.
- 19:49Speaker 5: He won't have his makeup on quite yet because he
- 19:51Speaker 5: doesn't want to ruin the white shirt.
- 19:52Speaker 2: The makeup's hilarious. As a writer.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Well, I mean, it's a TV job. It's a visual medium.
- 19:59Speaker 6: I know.
- 20:00Speaker 4: It just still makes me laugh. Well, yeah, it is
- 20:04Speaker 4: kind of funny.
- 20:04Speaker 5: I used to have to go fetch guys from the
- 20:07Speaker 5: makeup room at ESPN because radio and TV were like synchronized.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Both people did both things. And I was like, can
- 20:15Speaker 4: I get that? And they were like, it's in your car. Contract?
- 20:19Speaker 4: And I was like, I don't have a contract.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Never mind.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Okay, Ryan Russolo, let's go.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Up next, thanks for the text. Thanks for the pumpkin patches.
- 20:29Speaker 3: We'll read them back at 1130.
- 20:30Speaker 4: I want to go to every single one.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a few. We live in a cool area
- 20:34Speaker 2: for that. Up next, Zach Charbonnet's return this week.
- 20:37Speaker 3: What it's likely to look like, what the Seahawks should
- 20:39Speaker 3: and probably more likely should not expect. Mike McDonald, the coach,
- 20:43Speaker 3: you'll hear from him next on Zach Charbonnet's return on
- 20:46Speaker 3: 93.3 KJRFM.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Welcome back. Greg Bell, Jessamyn McIntyre.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Yes, every time she plays this, I think of Kurt
- 21:13Speaker 3: Gowdy and John Brody on the NBC Game of the
- 21:16Speaker 3: Week from the 1970s, my childhood, the Steelers.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Listen to that. That sounds like Rockford Files. That is
- 21:24Speaker 2: just awesome.
- 21:24Speaker 5: The Seahawks did play in the Thursday Night Game of
- 21:27Speaker 5: the Week.
- 21:27Speaker 2: They did.
- 21:29Speaker 3: They don't make sports themes like this anymore.
- 21:33Speaker 4: No, they don't.
- 21:35Speaker 5: My cousin has his doctorate in music theory, and he's
- 21:40Speaker 5: a producer as well. He's a composer, and he writes
- 21:43Speaker 5: for CBS. And they come up with something new all
- 21:47Speaker 5: the time.
- 21:48Speaker 2: I bet. But this is timeless. It's so Kurt Gowdy.
- 21:51Speaker 3: If you're of the age like I am, over 50
- 21:53Speaker 3: years old, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
- 21:56Speaker 4: We do have a winner.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Cracking Ticket Tuesday.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Someone heard the horn, and someone was the 10th caller
- 22:01Speaker 3: to 206-286-9595 to win two tickets against.
- 22:05Speaker 2: October 28th against Toronto. Toronto, as they say in Canada.
- 22:09Speaker 4: We'll get Ian to say it later. Toronto. Yeah, tomorrow.
- 22:14Speaker 5: But what I was going to say is that there's
- 22:17Speaker 5: not just one person that heard the horn.
- 22:19Speaker 4: There were several, multiple people that heard the horn.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Oh, and there's a lucky number 10 caller.
- 22:25Speaker 5: Yeah, so I always feel bad when it's like I'm
- 22:28Speaker 5: picking up the number nine caller, and.
- 22:30Speaker 4: I'm like, ah, you were so close. I'm so sorry.
- 22:33Speaker 4: But our friend Brian will be going to the October
- 22:35Speaker 4: 28th game, but the best.
- 22:37Speaker 5: thing about Kraken Ticket Tuesday is that it's every hour
- 22:41Speaker 5: throughout the entire day leading up to the Kraken game.
- 22:44Speaker 3: So you get to do it again next hour and
- 22:46Speaker 3: next hour after that with Ian Furness, Mr. Hockey, and
- 22:49Speaker 3: then right up through Dave Sotomayor and Dick Fane. We'll
- 22:51Speaker 3: take you right up to the pregame show at 6
- 22:53Speaker 3: o'clock with Mike Benton. So those are your chances every
- 22:56Speaker 3: hour between now and past 5 o'clock to win two
- 22:59Speaker 3: tickets to see the Kraken in a Toronto Maple Leafs.
- 23:01Speaker 3: October 28th at Climate Pledge Arena. Cracking back in action
- 23:04Speaker 3: tonight at home. First time they've been home in a
- 23:06Speaker 3: week and a half. They're playing against the Detroit Red Wings,
- 23:10Speaker 3: 640 puck drop. Thanks to the text line, 49451. A
- 23:13Speaker 3: ton of people with pumpkin patch recommendations and a ton
- 23:17Speaker 3: of people nailed in living color.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I mean, hundreds.
- 23:21Speaker 4: I'm just glad I came to it before I could read.
- 23:23Speaker 2: The text line. Yes. She didn't cheat. No, I did not.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I did not. Somebody on the text line. Uh-oh.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Somebody on the text line said, I give the Seahawks
- 23:34Speaker 3: defense two snaps and a twist.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Antoine of Men on Film from In Living Color.
- 23:41Speaker 4: That is a really good callback. That is pretty good.
- 23:44Speaker 2: That's pretty good. Thank you for the 509. We've run
- 23:48Speaker 2: out of.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Pumpkin patch text because of everyone with In Living Color references.
- 23:53Speaker 2: That's a great reference. Two snaps and a twist. That's
- 23:58Speaker 2: pretty awesome, Antoine. Yeah, 49451 Tacoma Dodge, Texas. I'm going
- 24:01Speaker 2: to read back your text at 1130. We're just giving
- 24:03Speaker 2: stuff away today. We'll give away $ 1, 000 to a chance,
- 24:06Speaker 2: should say a chance, to win $ 1, 000 at 1135 with
- 24:08Speaker 2: fact or fiction.
- 24:09Speaker 5: And shout out to Jackson for getting the fact or
- 24:12Speaker 5: fiction right this week because we just got the winner,
- 24:16Speaker 5: Latifa Johnson, who won on a fiction pick, just like me.
- 24:21Speaker 5: My winner was a fiction pick on Jackson's Jets Patriots
- 24:24Speaker 5: under 43.5 points.
- 24:27Speaker 4: On Wednesday.
- 24:28Speaker 5: So congratulations, Jackson, for being wrong.
- 24:30Speaker 2: And she, who won again?
- 24:33Speaker 4: Latifah Johnson.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Latifah gets $ 1, 000 from the Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel.
- 24:37Speaker 3: And she also has a chance, even if you don't
- 24:40Speaker 3: win $ 1, 000, you still have the chance of winning $ 10, 000
- 24:43Speaker 3: on December 11th, Army Navy Friday. That's the end of
- 24:47Speaker 3: our contest. Jessamyn and I will be at Times Square
- 24:50Speaker 3: in New York City for the Army Navy game.
- 24:52Speaker 8: Where?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not going to be just sitting in our
- 24:54Speaker 2: hotel rooms on that trip, I can tell you that.
- 24:57Speaker 2: But Wendy's coming. And so are the McIntyres. Yeah, I
- 25:01Speaker 2: knew they were coming. I knew they were coming. Mike coming?
- 25:05Speaker 4: It's up in the air.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that he needs limited time with the
- 25:09Speaker 5: McIntyre clan.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Zach Charbonnet is returning this week.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Mike McDonald said yesterday this is going to be a
- 25:16Speaker 3: full practice week for the Seahawks running back who had
- 25:18Speaker 3: 12 rushing touchdowns last year. Of course, that was the
- 25:21Speaker 3: most since Marshawn Lynch. in 2014. He was in a
- 25:25Speaker 3: job share with Kenneth Walker, which is part of the
- 25:27Speaker 3: reason Walker's now in the Kansas City Chiefs uniform and.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Will be in one on Sunday night when they play
- 25:33Speaker 2: the Seahawks.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Charbonnet hasn't done anything since the NFC Divisional playoff game
- 25:38Speaker 3: in mid-January when he ripped his knee out, tore knee ligaments,
- 25:42Speaker 3: had reconstructive knee surgery, had to wait until the swelling
- 25:44Speaker 3: went down, and didn't have the surgery until mid-February, soon
- 25:48Speaker 3: after the Seahawks won the Super Bowl. So he's only
- 25:50Speaker 3: eight months removed from that surgery. This was Mike McDonald,
- 25:54Speaker 3: the coach talking about Charbonnet practicing this week and his
- 25:57Speaker 3: status for the week.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's remarkable.
- 25:59Speaker 11: Um, I know he's had a certain date in mind,
- 26:02Speaker 11: which is a really ambitious date. And, uh, and for
- 26:06Speaker 11: those who have tried to come back from a significant
- 26:09Speaker 11: knee surgery, understand the undertaking that takes and, uh, that
- 26:16Speaker 11: is an app. I mean, he's a beast just, I mean,
- 26:18Speaker 11: it looks great. Um, It's not easy to kind of say, like,
- 26:23Speaker 11: all right, let's go. So for him to have that
- 26:26Speaker 11: courage to say that and work through the things that
- 26:31Speaker 11: he's worked through is just, you can't do anything but
- 26:35Speaker 11: tip your cap to him.
- 26:37Speaker 3: That's Mike McDonnell. That's good coach saying he has courage,
- 26:40Speaker 3: but let's be real. There's more than courage going on here.
- 26:42Speaker 3: This is the last year of Zach Charbonnet's rookie contract.
- 26:46Speaker 3: He's playing for his future.
- 26:47Speaker 2: He doesn't know.
- 26:48Speaker 3: He's seen firsthand how the Seahawks do this. They don't
- 26:51Speaker 3: re-sign running backs.
- 26:52Speaker 2: They draft them.
- 26:54Speaker 3: They drafted DeJarion Price in the first round, not for
- 26:56Speaker 3: this year, but for four years, plus an option for
- 26:59Speaker 3: a fifth. Yeah, this year too, but not just for
- 27:01Speaker 3: this year, but for the four years plus a fifth-year
- 27:04Speaker 3: option as a first-round pick. So he can see the right,
- 27:06Speaker 3: Charbonnet can see the writing on the wall here. He's
- 27:08Speaker 3: missed the first six games of the season. He's got
- 27:11Speaker 3: to get on the field in his mind to prove
- 27:14Speaker 3: his worth for a contract next year, be it with
- 27:16Speaker 3: Seattle or someone else. And every week that he misses
- 27:20Speaker 3: is one fewer chance to prove his market value for
- 27:22Speaker 3: next year when he becomes a free agent. The Seahawks MO,
- 27:26Speaker 3: as we've talked about so many times, is to not
- 27:28Speaker 3: re-sign their rookie running backs after the end of their
- 27:31Speaker 3: four-year contracts and then go draft another one. They did
- 27:34Speaker 3: it with Chris Carson after Marshawn Lynch.
- 27:37Speaker 2: They did it with Kenneth.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Walker after Chris Carson. They did it with Zach Charbonnet
- 27:41Speaker 3: a year after they drafted Kenneth Walker, and they did
- 27:44Speaker 3: it this year with Jadarian Price.
- 27:46Speaker 2: 17 years under.
- 27:48Speaker 3: John Schneider, this is part of the reason Kenneth Walker
- 27:51Speaker 3: is now with the Chiefs, leading the NFL in rushing,
- 27:54Speaker 3: because this is the Seahawks' philosophy.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Don't pay the running backs because they get hurt.
- 27:59Speaker 3: The wiser investment is to go cheaper with a rookie
- 28:01Speaker 3: running back who is younger and healthier.
- 28:05Speaker 2: For four years on a rookie deal. That's what they
- 28:07Speaker 2: did with Price now. Boom. First month of his NFL career,
- 28:10Speaker 2: he's hurt. He's on injury reserve.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Price isn't coming back until November the 2nd at the
- 28:15Speaker 3: earliest against Chicago, a game, by the way, that's really
- 28:18Speaker 3: shaping up to be a big one as far as
- 28:19Speaker 3: NFC wildcard. Yeah, we're talking wildcard because the 49ers are
- 28:23Speaker 3: boat racing everybody right now in the NFC West. And
- 28:26Speaker 3: barring a collapse, the 49ers are going to win the division.
- 28:29Speaker 3: I mean, it would be a massive collapse. for San
- 28:33Speaker 3: Francisco not to win the NFC West. They're three and
- 28:36Speaker 3: a half games up with a win in hand over
- 28:37Speaker 3: the Seahawks, four and a half with a win in
- 28:39Speaker 3: hand over the Rams. They're playing each of them still,
- 28:43Speaker 3: but you look at their 49ers schedule until the Seahawks
- 28:46Speaker 3: play down in Santa Clara next month, and I don't
- 28:49Speaker 3: know that they'll lose. They'll be 9-10-0 when they play
- 28:52Speaker 3: the Seahawks in the second go-around in Santa Clara on
- 28:55Speaker 3: Thanksgiving weekend. The point is, Charbonnet, he's under two different
- 29:02Speaker 3: dueling tracks here.
- 29:03Speaker 2: He's got to be smart, of course.
- 29:05Speaker 3: He can't be Superman and Hercules at the same time
- 29:08Speaker 3: eight months in his first game after coming back after
- 29:12Speaker 3: eight months ago from reconstructive knee surgery. You can't expect that.
- 29:17Speaker 3: But at the same time, he's got to do all
- 29:18Speaker 3: he can when he can to try to make money
- 29:20Speaker 3: next year. That's the nature of this non-guaranteed NFL. It's
- 29:23Speaker 3: why guys play when they maybe shouldn't play.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Now, I'm not saying that's the case with Charbonnet because
- 29:29Speaker 2: he's had a very protracted and very measured return. And
- 29:32Speaker 2: they have been all over, every step of this, we've
- 29:34Speaker 2: watched it from the sidelines since really May and June
- 29:37Speaker 2: minicamps when he was doing hurdler stretches and jumps on
- 29:41Speaker 2: a side field. But suffice to say, eight months is quick.
- 29:46Speaker 2: You mentioned it from your own experience, but those of
- 29:48Speaker 2: us that have had knee deconstructions, even just walking around
- 29:52Speaker 2: and feeling normal takes a while.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Going downstairs.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Yes, when it comes to that.
- 29:56Speaker 5: And obviously I wasn't in an NFL facility with the
- 30:00Speaker 5: medical care that they have at the time, but I
- 30:03Speaker 5: was pretty healthy.
- 30:04Speaker 4: I was marathoning at the time when that happened. I
- 30:07Speaker 4: was an athlete. I was, Greg, I promise. But yeah,
- 30:11Speaker 4: I could throw the ball over those mountains. But anyway,
- 30:15Speaker 4: when it.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Comes to this. Napoleon Dynamite reference for those of you. Yes, please.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Everyone knows that.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Just making sure.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 2: We didn't all know in living color.
- 30:23Speaker 4: It took me a while to get there, but I
- 30:24Speaker 4: got there.
- 30:25Speaker 5: What I was going to say about this is that
- 30:28Speaker 5: medical science, when it comes to knee reconstruction, keeps getting
- 30:31Speaker 5: better and better and better, especially at a professional athlete level.
- 30:35Speaker 5: So eight months, yes, it is a very short amount
- 30:38Speaker 5: of time when it comes to that kind of situation.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes did it.
- 30:43Speaker 4: But I was just going to say that.
- 30:46Speaker 5: Mahomes is a really good example of people being able
- 30:49Speaker 5: to do it.
- 30:50Speaker 4: And everybody is different. Everyone's going to heal differently.
- 30:52Speaker 5: It is a little jarring to hear eight months he's
- 30:58Speaker 5: coming back after that. However, it's completely possible. And he
- 31:02Speaker 5: might be 100% healthy. And it's up to the athlete.
- 31:07Speaker 5: It's up to the medical staff. And I don't think
- 31:09Speaker 5: this Seahawks team is going to rush him back in
- 31:11Speaker 5: a bad situation.
- 31:12Speaker 2: No, I don't either. And I don't think they're going
- 31:13Speaker 2: to give him 20 carries on Sunday night either. That
- 31:15Speaker 2: would be foolish.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Maybe Charbonnet would want that, but I don't think that's
- 31:19Speaker 3: smart for him or for the team for the rest
- 31:21Speaker 3: of the season. So what this week is likely to
- 31:23Speaker 3: look like, they have until Thursday to decide whether to
- 31:27Speaker 3: add him to the active roster. He's still technically on
- 31:29Speaker 3: the pup list, designated to return to practice, but he's
- 31:32Speaker 3: on the physically unable to perform list. That 21-day practice
- 31:36Speaker 3: window for him on the pup list return to practice
- 31:38Speaker 3: ends on Thursday.
- 31:40Speaker 2: By Thursday, they have to decide, is he going to the.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Active 53-man roster, in which case they'll need a roster
- 31:45Speaker 3: move corresponding to take someone off, or.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Is he on the pup list for the rest of
- 31:49Speaker 2: the year?
- 31:49Speaker 3: That's the either-or that comes on Thursday, and there are
- 31:51Speaker 3: no signs they're going to do that latter. Essentially, we'd
- 31:56Speaker 3: be putting him on injured reserve for the rest of
- 31:57Speaker 3: the season if they chose that route. That doesn't look
- 31:59Speaker 3: like that's going to happen, nor does Charbonnet want that.
- 32:01Speaker 3: He doesn't want his last game to be two seasons
- 32:04Speaker 3: ago when he goes try to get a new contract
- 32:05Speaker 3: in March. So he's going to get activated by Thursday.
- 32:08Speaker 3: There'll be a roster move to take someone off to 53.
- 32:12Speaker 3: And then in the game on Sunday, what's it going
- 32:13Speaker 3: to look like? Well, Charbonnet, you would think, is not
- 32:17Speaker 3: going to get running back one workload. Like I said,
- 32:20Speaker 3: that would be foolish and irresponsible. So he's probably in
- 32:25Speaker 3: an 8 to 10 carry range maybe.
- 32:27Speaker 2: That's optimistic.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Which means you're still going to get, they're still going
- 32:32Speaker 3: to get Emmanuel Wilson. who has proven to be slow
- 32:35Speaker 3: to the outside run zone hole in running lanes. The
- 32:38Speaker 3: essence of the problems of Emmanuel Wilson being your number
- 32:41Speaker 3: one running back has shown up the last few weeks
- 32:43Speaker 3: is he can't get to the holes fast enough, and
- 32:46Speaker 3: this outside zone scheme is not designed for you to
- 32:48Speaker 3: drive your guy into the goal line.
- 32:50Speaker 2: It's for... Just a short blocking, a short getting in
- 32:55Speaker 2: the way of the defender as the running back synchronizes, cut,
- 32:59Speaker 2: and goes by. It's a very timing-driven system. And that
- 33:03Speaker 2: timing is thrown off when your running back is slow
- 33:05Speaker 2: as Emmanuel Wilson has proven to be. It's why they
- 33:07Speaker 2: drafted Price.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Price is very decisive and definitively faster than any other
- 33:12Speaker 3: running back they have for this outside zone scheme.
- 33:15Speaker 2: But he's on injury reserve until November 2nd.
- 33:17Speaker 3: So they're going to have Wilson applauding more short yardage
- 33:20Speaker 3: type backs. They're going to have George Helani, who has
- 33:22Speaker 3: dropped the ball in previous games, though looked strong in
- 33:25Speaker 3: the third and fourth quarter in Denver, including a touchdown run,
- 33:28Speaker 3: a bullish touchdown run. They have Velas Jones, who's still
- 33:32Speaker 3: on the active roster. They brought him up off the
- 33:35Speaker 3: practice squad to the active roster last week. He was
- 33:38Speaker 3: a wide receiver at the start of training camp. People
- 33:40Speaker 3: forget that. He was a practice squad running back last year,
- 33:43Speaker 3: and then they converted him to wide receiver. Then they
- 33:45Speaker 3: had issues at running back right away in training camp,
- 33:48Speaker 3: and they put Velas Jones back to running back from
- 33:51Speaker 3: wide receiver.
- 33:52Speaker 2: And then Robert Henry Jr. is on the side of
- 33:55Speaker 2: a milk carton right now on the Seahawks roster because
- 33:58Speaker 2: he's on the active roster who's yet to play. He's
- 34:00Speaker 2: been on the active roster for two weeks, yet has
- 34:03Speaker 2: not been active for either game. And I've asked McDonald
- 34:06Speaker 2: a couple times, what's the deal? He's taking up a
- 34:08Speaker 2: roster spot here.
- 34:10Speaker 3: That could be the move on Thursday is that they
- 34:12Speaker 3: make him, they put him on waivers. He's an undrafted rookie.
- 34:16Speaker 3: He was on Washington's practice squad. They'll pass him through
- 34:19Speaker 3: waivers thinking he'll get through and they'll put him on
- 34:21Speaker 3: the practice squad, Henry, and then use his roster spot
- 34:24Speaker 3: for Charbonnet.
- 34:24Speaker 4: Always a gamble. Always a gamble to do that.
- 34:26Speaker 3: But they wouldn't have lost anything because they haven't played
- 34:28Speaker 3: him yet. So they obviously don't think he's ready to play,
- 34:30Speaker 3: at least haven't been up to this point. So I
- 34:32Speaker 3: think that's what the roster move is going to be.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Up next, we're going to talk about the return of
- 34:36Speaker 3: someone else this week, a veteran starter. The career transformation
- 34:40Speaker 3: of Anthony Bradford. You're going to hear from Bradford himself.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Talk about how he wants to be. He told me
- 34:46Speaker 3: in the summer he wants to be here forever and
- 34:48Speaker 3: that the Seahawks hadn't offered him a contract. This is
- 34:50Speaker 3: his contract year two. 11 o'clock, Jory Epstein from New York.
- 34:54Speaker 3: League meetings there. We're going to talk about the Jalen
- 34:56Speaker 3: Hurts situation and a lot more around the league. 1135

- 35:49Speaker 3: at 640, the deep end is kicking off.
- 35:51Speaker 2: What's that?
- 35:53Speaker 3: It's one of the most menacing sections in Climate Pledge Arena.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Bring the energy and cheer to your Seattle Kraken. In

- 36:21Speaker 4: Yeah, so keep listening, by the way.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Don't do it now. It's the Toronto Maple Leafs, by
- 36:26Speaker 2: the way, not leaves. I know it should be leaves. Yeah,
- 36:29Speaker 2: I know.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Maple Leafs. Our fight with Canada continues.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Yes. Your fight, not my fight. I don't have a
- 36:35Speaker 2: fight with Canada. I love them. I love the Canadians.
- 36:38Speaker 4: Me too.
- 36:38Speaker 5: I have had such a great time every time I've
- 36:41Speaker 5: gone up to Vancouver.
- 36:43Speaker 2: It's lovely.
- 36:43Speaker 4: But Toronto, yeah, that's a whole other bag.
- 36:47Speaker 5: And I know that we have some fight with them
- 36:50Speaker 5: when it comes to our baseball team.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Love Toronto, though, as a city. It's cool.
- 36:54Speaker 3: That was my favorite major league city when I was
- 36:57Speaker 3: on the A's beat.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Love Toronto. It's like New York. Canada's New York, but nicer, cleaner,
- 37:03Speaker 2: not quite as big.
- 37:04Speaker 4: The cleanliness, it kind of shocked me the first time
- 37:07Speaker 4: I was there.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Yeah, for as large as it is, it is really
- 37:09Speaker 2: livable downtown.
- 37:11Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 37:12Speaker 2: And there's some great sections. Yorktown, there's some great spots
- 37:15Speaker 2: in Toronto.
- 37:18Speaker 3: The Seahawks have not just Anthony Charbonnet returning Sunday night
- 37:21Speaker 3: when they play the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, the
- 37:23Speaker 3: undefeated Kenneth Walker Chiefs.
- 37:25Speaker 2: They got Anthony Bradford coming back, too. He's returning from
- 37:28Speaker 2: injured reserve.
- 37:29Speaker 3: He was designated to return to practice yesterday by the team,
- 37:32Speaker 3: the first step to get him off IR. And then
- 37:34Speaker 3: he'll be coming off injured reserve before the game on Sunday,
- 37:36Speaker 3: and that means another roster move of taking someone else off.
- 37:41Speaker 3: When Bradford returns to right guard on Sunday night, it
- 37:44Speaker 3: will be the first time the Seahawks have had all
- 37:46Speaker 3: five of their starting offensive linemen from the Super Bowl
- 37:48Speaker 3: eight months ago playing together since week one against the
- 37:52Speaker 3: New England Patriots on September the 9th.
- 37:55Speaker 2: That can only help, you would think, the running game.
- 37:58Speaker 3: So far at right guard, they've, since Bradford's injury a
- 38:00Speaker 3: month ago, hip and knee, they've been going with Christian Haynes,
- 38:04Speaker 3: who's failed three times to win the right guard job
- 38:06Speaker 3: since they drafted him three years ago.
- 38:07Speaker 2: He's been the starter.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Rookie Bo Stevens, the fifth-round pick All-American from Iowa, has
- 38:12Speaker 3: been alternating in, playing about 30% or 35% of the snaps.
- 38:15Speaker 3: So that goes away, that job share, and here comes
- 38:18Speaker 3: Anthony Bradford. And everyone's now starting to say, man, we
- 38:21Speaker 3: need Anthony Bradford back. And those everyones were saying, Anthony
- 38:24Speaker 3: Bradford's the worst guy on the offensive line about.
- 38:26Speaker 2: A year and a half ago.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Yeah, hindsight, folks.
- 38:29Speaker 2: The coaches really like him. They like how physical he is.
- 38:32Speaker 2: And McDonald mentioned again the physical presence yesterday that Anthony
- 38:36Speaker 2: Bradford is going to bring them when he gets back
- 38:38Speaker 2: in the lineup Sunday night. This was McDonald talking about
- 38:41Speaker 2: the status of Bradford for the game on Sunday.
- 38:43Speaker 11: I know normally I'm pretty coy on this one, but
- 38:45Speaker 11: it's pretty straightforward. If he has a good week, he's
- 38:47Speaker 11: going to. he's going to play a significant amount if
- 38:49Speaker 11: not the whole game.
- 38:50Speaker 2: So, uh, it's exciting.
- 38:51Speaker 11: I think, uh, I think AB really, I'm really, really
- 38:56Speaker 11: happy for AB, like the way he's approached this injury
- 39:00Speaker 11: and how he's, how he's, um, really stayed. I think he's,
- 39:03Speaker 11: I think he's a better version of himself than he was, um,
- 39:06Speaker 11: before he got injured. So I think that just speaks
- 39:09Speaker 11: to his work ethic and his positive mentality, which is really,
- 39:12Speaker 11: really cool. So, um, Davey's played really good football for us.
- 39:16Speaker 11: He's a physical presence for us at right guard, both
- 39:19Speaker 11: in run and pass. So we're excited to possibly get
- 39:23Speaker 11: him back.
- 39:24Speaker 3: A better version of himself, Mike McDonald says. Anthony Bradford's
- 39:28Speaker 3: career has transformed. They drafted him four years ago out
- 39:31Speaker 3: of LSU. He had some struggles early in pass protection
- 39:34Speaker 3: as a rookie. He's been a four-year starter for them.
- 39:37Speaker 3: But then last year, when John Benton came in, I
- 39:39Speaker 3: talked to Anthony Bradford last year about that, and Bradford
- 39:42Speaker 3: just went on and on about how Benton just clarified
- 39:46Speaker 3: things for him. And he freed his mind and allowed
- 39:49Speaker 3: him just to play It used to be the Seahawks
- 39:51Speaker 3: had to do everything offensive line. They were doing some gap.
- 39:54Speaker 3: They were doing some pulling. They were doing some man blocking.
- 39:56Speaker 3: They were doing some inside zone, some outside zone. It
- 39:58Speaker 3: was a little bit of everything.
- 40:00Speaker 2: And then they still have sprinkles of that now. But
- 40:02Speaker 2: John Benton came in and said, guys, you need to
- 40:04Speaker 2: know one thing, outside zone. Every game plan we run
- 40:07Speaker 2: when I'm your coach is going to be outside zone.
- 40:10Speaker 2: And it crystallized things for– Abe Lucas has talked about this.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Abe Lucas has struggled this season.
- 40:17Speaker 3: But he's talked about how John Benton came in and
- 40:19Speaker 3: clarified everything, and everybody got to focus on one thing.
- 40:22Speaker 3: And so instead of trying to be masters of everything,
- 40:25Speaker 3: they were masters of one. And Bradford said he thrived
- 40:28Speaker 3: with that clarity. I talked to Anthony Bradford in the
- 40:32Speaker 3: summer about– His transformation as just a guy everyone ripped on, basically.
- 40:39Speaker 2: And he said, yeah, I know people. I've seen it.
- 40:41Speaker 2: He kind of chuckled.
- 40:43Speaker 3: It chuckled and made him laugh that guys that sit
- 40:45Speaker 3: on their couch can make cut-ups of film.
- 40:48Speaker 4: Some noise still gets through, though, yeah.
- 40:50Speaker 2: But the noise does get through. He knows it. I
- 40:52Speaker 2: asked Mike McDonald yesterday about.
- 40:54Speaker 3: The transformation of Anthony Bradford and his career. Just in
- 40:57Speaker 3: the three years, two and a half years that the
- 40:58Speaker 3: coach has been the Seahawks coach.
- 41:00Speaker 2: And here's what he said.
- 41:01Speaker 9: You said Bradford's a better version of himself than he
- 41:04Speaker 9: was before the injury.
- 41:05Speaker 4: Is there anything in particular you've seen from him?
- 41:07Speaker 11: I just, like, I just, you know, normally a guy gets,
- 41:10Speaker 11: you know, is forced to go on IR, and it's
- 41:12Speaker 11: a bummer, you know, and I know, and it is
- 41:14Speaker 11: for AB, and you could sense, like, there's frustration there
- 41:17Speaker 11: because he wants to be healthy, he wants to be
- 41:19Speaker 11: playing great football, but there's a way that you can
- 41:21Speaker 11: approach that, too, and, like, the way he's approached it
- 41:23Speaker 11: with positivity and energy, I think he's been a, kind
- 41:27Speaker 11: of a sense of, like, strength for the guys rather
- 41:29Speaker 11: than someone that's, um, you know, that has to deal
- 41:33Speaker 11: with the injury. So just really, really impressed by how
- 41:36Speaker 11: he's handled everything.
- 41:39Speaker 2: No, I didn't get a voice transformation. That wasn't me.
- 41:40Speaker 3: That was Ari Horton, who's the team, Seahawks.com writer, the
- 41:44Speaker 3: team employee writer. She asked a question as well about
- 41:47Speaker 3: the transformation. And then there was one I asked following
- 41:50Speaker 3: up about that. And McDonald said, he's just a physical presence.
- 41:55Speaker 3: And that's what their offensive line has lacked without him.
- 41:59Speaker 3: And he agreed that McDonald agreed that.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Yeah, His career has accelerated in the two and a
- 42:04Speaker 2: half years McDonald's been the coach. This summer, we had
- 42:07Speaker 2: Bradford on the show out of training camp, and we
- 42:10Speaker 2: talked about his contract situation, which no one's really talked about.
- 42:12Speaker 2: But believe me, when NFL players in the last year
- 42:15Speaker 2: of their deal, they know it. And it hovers over
- 42:18Speaker 2: everything they're doing football-wise, because unlike Major League Baseball and
- 42:22Speaker 2: hockey and all these other sports, you're really only guaranteed
- 42:25Speaker 2: the year you're in. And when you're in the end
- 42:27Speaker 2: of your rookie deal, you really don't know what next
- 42:30Speaker 2: year is, how much money you're going to make. Where,
- 42:32Speaker 2: who you're going to play for, who your coach is
- 42:33Speaker 2: going to be. Do you have to pick up and
- 42:35Speaker 2: move your young family? He's got a young baby and
- 42:37Speaker 2: a wife and young family. It's an entire life.
- 42:41Speaker 3: He wants to stay in Seattle forever. He said he'd
- 42:44Speaker 3: rather retire here. This is what he said to me
- 42:46Speaker 3: this summer. Of course, you notice that they gave a
- 42:48Speaker 3: new contract to Abe Lucas.
- 42:49Speaker 2: They gave a new contract to Charles Cross that left Tucker.
- 42:52Speaker 5: Deserved.
- 42:53Speaker 2: You're next. This is the end of your contract. I
- 42:57Speaker 2: know you might say you haven't thought about it, but
- 42:59Speaker 2: you have a wife and a new baby. Of course,
- 43:01Speaker 2: the next move is what's in your mind. Where does
- 43:03Speaker 2: that stand? Have they approached you about a new deal,
- 43:05Speaker 2: and would you like to stay?
- 43:07Speaker 6: They haven't approached me about a new deal, but I
- 43:10Speaker 6: would love to stay, bro. I was literally talking about
- 43:12Speaker 6: this with my brother the other day. It's like there's
- 43:15Speaker 6: nowhere else I would rather be, bro. I just feel
- 43:17Speaker 6: like my heart and soul is in Seattle. I feel
- 43:19Speaker 6: like I am a Seahawk, you know what I'm saying?
- 43:21Speaker 6: And if I can spend the next 10, 15 years here,
- 43:25Speaker 6: I'll sign that contract quick, bro. So, yeah, of course
- 43:29Speaker 6: I want to be here. I love the fans. I
- 43:30Speaker 6: love my teammates. I love the coaching staff that we
- 43:32Speaker 6: got here. And I just love what we're doing here.
- 43:35Speaker 6: And I wouldn't want to go and start nowhere else.
- 43:37Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying? So, yeah, please.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Yeah, please.
- 43:42Speaker 4: I love that ending.
- 43:43Speaker 2: He smiled after he said that, too.
- 43:45Speaker 5: Yeah, you guys giggled a bit, and I cut that out. But, yes,
- 43:48Speaker 5: he very, very much would like to stay here.
- 43:51Speaker 2: We'll see. The clock's ticking on him, too, just like Charbonnet.
- 43:55Speaker 3: He's in the final year of his deal, and now
- 43:56Speaker 3: he's missed a month's worth of games in his contract year.
- 43:59Speaker 3: It looks like he will start on Sunday night and play,
- 44:02Speaker 3: as Mike McDonald said, the majority of, if not the
- 44:04Speaker 3: entire game, against the Chiefs.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Anthony Bradford back at right guard. Up next, we'll go
- 44:09Speaker 2: around the NFL. Jory Epstein, our weekly visit with her, thanks.
- 44:12Speaker 3: To Zeke's Pizza and Zeke'sPizza.com. She's the senior NFL writer
- 44:15Speaker 3: for Yahoo Sports. She's up next from league meetings in
- 44:17Speaker 3: New York on 93.3 KJRFM.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Now, from the Star Runnels Sports Desk, your 93.3 KJR
- 44:34Speaker 1: FM Sports Headlines.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Good morning. Happy Tuesday. Headlines are brought to you by
- 44:41Speaker 2: Frostbrew Coors Light. As cold as the Rockies. The New
- 44:44Speaker 2: York Giants are releasing running back Najee Harris, a former
- 44:47Speaker 2: perennial 1,000-yard rusher with the Steelers, who had a major
- 44:51Speaker 2: injury in his only season last year with the Chargers
- 44:53Speaker 2: a month into that season.
- 44:55Speaker 3: Now he's leaving the Giants. He was second on the
- 44:59Speaker 3: Giants behind Cam Scadaboo. Scadaboo didn't get any carries in
- 45:02Speaker 3: the Giants' loss this past weekend. Najee Harris started the
- 45:06Speaker 3: game and only got two carries. Then talked after the
- 45:09Speaker 3: game how it was tough to get into rhythm after
- 45:11Speaker 3: only one or two runs and then sitting on the sidelines.
- 45:13Speaker 2: For a while. But now Najee Harris is a free agent.
- 45:17Speaker 2: He would be available for Jeep.
- 45:19Speaker 3: I mean, like veteran minimum if the Seahawks want to
- 45:21Speaker 3: try him out as the next running back du jour.
- 45:24Speaker 2: That's a possibility.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Something like that, rather than spending big, big draft capital
- 45:29Speaker 3: on Saquon Barkley and his contract through 2028, or Jonathan Taylor,
- 45:33Speaker 3: the Colts, and his contract through 2028. That might be
- 45:36Speaker 3: the route that John Schneider looks at. So let's keep
- 45:38Speaker 3: an eye on that. Najee Harris released by the Giants today.
- 45:41Speaker 3: The Seahawks, of course, play on Sunday night against the
- 45:44Speaker 3: undefeated Kenneth Walker, Kansas City Chiefs. Walker leading the NFL
- 45:48Speaker 3: in rushing. He has the most rushing yards ever by
- 45:51Speaker 3: a player in the first five games.
- 45:52Speaker 2: With a new team. 665.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Jory Epstein knows all about this.
- 46:00Speaker 2: She knows all about the NFL. She's a senior NFL writer.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Weekly visit with Yahoo Sports senior NFL.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Reporter Jory Epstein. Brought to you by Zeke's Pizza.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Stop by Zeke's all season long when a team from
- 46:12Speaker 1: Washington is playing and enjoys $ 6 Kraft Pints. And for
- 46:16Speaker 1: some serious kick, try the new Calabrian Chili Pizza.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Out now. Now with Jory Epstein. Here's Greg. Good afternoon, Jory,
- 46:27Speaker 2: from New York in the league meetings. Good afternoon, Greg.
- 46:32Speaker 9: Great to be on with y'all.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Jory, I got to ask, first of all, about the
- 46:35Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts situation.
- 46:37Speaker 3: It's certainly concerning, not just the blood clots, but the
- 46:41Speaker 3: fact he has to be on blood thinners to get
- 46:43Speaker 3: rid of the blood clots, which keeps your blood from clotting.
- 46:46Speaker 3: And if you get pounded in football, that can be
- 46:49Speaker 3: internal bleeding. Apparently he played with the Eagles knowing that
- 46:54Speaker 3: he had blood clots, or at least superficially, played in
- 46:56Speaker 3: London against the Jaguars.
- 46:58Speaker 2: And then he got on a plane, which is not
- 47:00Speaker 2: the thing.
- 47:00Speaker 3: To do, medically speaking, if you have clots at 30,000
- 47:04Speaker 3: feet across the Atlantic Ocean.
- 47:06Speaker 2: You talked to a couple medical experts.
- 47:08Speaker 3: About Jalen Hurts' condition and what he has, and now
- 47:10Speaker 3: the blood clots in the lungs, he's out for the season.
- 47:13Speaker 2: What'd you learn?
- 47:15Speaker 9: Yeah, absolutely. It's a very serious condition. And I was
- 47:18Speaker 9: trying to understand how do you go from playing with
- 47:21Speaker 9: a blood clot to all of a sudden being out seemingly,
- 47:23Speaker 9: like you said, for the season or at least three
- 47:25Speaker 9: months based off what I'm understanding. And the way the
- 47:28Speaker 9: doctors explained it to me is a superficial blood clot
- 47:31Speaker 9: means it's very close to the skin above that fascia
- 47:34Speaker 9: layer of tissue. And you get a superficial blood clot
- 47:37Speaker 9: if you get blood drawn, if you get an IV.
- 47:38Speaker 9: I mean, players are going to play with them. Literally,
- 47:41Speaker 9: if someone gets an IV in the middle and you
- 47:42Speaker 9: have a little blood clot, like you're taking blood, then
- 47:45Speaker 9: you're going to have that. The problem is once a
- 47:47Speaker 9: blood clot gets into the deeper vein, then those deep
- 47:51Speaker 9: veins go all the way up to your heart and
- 47:52Speaker 9: they connect to your heart, your lungs area. And that's
- 47:55Speaker 9: when there's more of a concern that they're going to travel,
- 47:57Speaker 9: that a piece of the blood clot will chip off
- 47:59Speaker 9: and move. So it's not actually so crazy if you
- 48:03Speaker 9: only have a superficial blood clot to play in a
- 48:05Speaker 9: football game. But the question is, is it a superficial
- 48:08Speaker 9: blood clot? Was there something missed on imaging that it
- 48:10Speaker 9: could have been a deep blood clot right away? Because
- 48:12Speaker 9: it's very rare, according to both of the medical specialists
- 48:15Speaker 9: I talked to for my reporting, that a superficial blood
- 48:18Speaker 9: clot would suddenly become a deep clot and then in
- 48:21Speaker 9: the lungs in the time period that we're hearing. There's
- 48:23Speaker 9: also the element, like you said, of plane travel in
- 48:25Speaker 9: some ways, but contact sports, the blood clot, you can
- 48:28Speaker 9: still go for a run with the blood clot, even
- 48:30Speaker 9: when you're on blood thinners. The issue is more contact sports.
- 48:33Speaker 9: If you get hit, you start bleeding. If you don't clot,
- 48:35Speaker 9: that could be as serious as fatal. The other element
- 48:39Speaker 9: to this, though, is the plane is actually more of
- 48:42Speaker 9: an issue. The movement that you have with sports is good,
- 48:44Speaker 9: but the number one reason that planes are a concern
- 48:47Speaker 9: is because of the immobility. And so when you're naturally
- 48:50Speaker 9: walking throughout the day or just getting up and stretching
- 48:52Speaker 9: your legs, you're pumping your calf muscles, and then the
- 48:54Speaker 9: blood is going back and forth between your calf and
- 48:56Speaker 9: your heart. But if you're sedentary for these six, seven,
- 48:59Speaker 9: I mean, I think the flight to Philly to London
- 49:01Speaker 9: is seven, seven and a half hours in most situations.
- 49:03Speaker 8: Right.
- 49:04Speaker 9: And if you're not moving, then the blood can hit
- 49:06Speaker 9: the stasis where it's not flowing, and that's where it
- 49:09Speaker 9: can create a clot, or the question is, can it
- 49:12Speaker 9: worsen a clot? So that's kind of the medical overview,
- 49:15Speaker 9: and we can break down whatever parts you want, but
- 49:17Speaker 9: it's a very serious situation that not only does blood
- 49:20Speaker 9: clot go deeper into his veins, but also made it
- 49:22Speaker 9: into both of his lungs.
- 49:25Speaker 3: So did the Eagles, I mean, were they reckless here
- 49:28Speaker 3: in the point of endangering him, or you think it's
- 49:30Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts who just left it up to him and says, yeah,
- 49:32Speaker 3: I'll play? The report this morning that the Eagles will
- 49:35Speaker 3: not be punished by the league, according to an insider.
- 49:38Speaker 2: I can't remember which one. It was somebody, NFL Network,
- 49:41Speaker 2: Ian Rappaport, I believe, reported it. I just saw it
- 49:42Speaker 2: about a half hour ago.
- 49:44Speaker 3: But suffice to say, this whole thing doesn't look very
- 49:48Speaker 3: well upon the Eagles. Nick Sirianni was parrying questions from
- 49:51Speaker 3: repeated and pointed questions from the Philadelphia media yesterday.
- 49:54Speaker 9: Yes, I think there's two questions here, which is what
- 49:58Speaker 9: happened initially and how are they communicating it? There's been
- 50:01Speaker 9: limited degree of transparency in the sense of they put
- 50:04Speaker 9: out a statement last week on Thursday saying that he
- 50:07Speaker 9: had this deep vein thrombosis, the blood clots deeper in
- 50:09Speaker 9: his lungs. And they put out another statement yesterday in
- 50:12Speaker 9: partnership with Jalen Hurd's agent, Nicole Lynn, explaining kind of
- 50:15Speaker 9: the step-by-step or what they're telling us is the step-by-step. Now,
- 50:19Speaker 9: then they put Nick Sirianni up on the stand yesterday
- 50:21Speaker 9: to answer questions, which is getting a lot of blowback,
- 50:24Speaker 9: I think, fairly because Why is Howie Roseman or someone
- 50:27Speaker 9: from the medical team or ownership not answering questions? I
- 50:29Speaker 9: do understand that part of your job as a head
- 50:31Speaker 9: coach is to take the bullets, but it is pretty
- 50:34Speaker 9: unusual to not have anyone from a medical standpoint available
- 50:37Speaker 9: to talk and give some kind of clarity. This wasn't
- 50:40Speaker 9: like a four-page statement. This was like, I don't know,
- 50:43Speaker 9: a paragraph that they put out. So I think there's
- 50:45Speaker 9: reasons to have question marks. I am at league meetings
- 50:48Speaker 9: right now, and I'm optimistic that we will get to
- 50:51Speaker 9: talk to the NFL's chief medical officer, Alan Sills, about
- 50:56Speaker 9: what went on here and the concerns. And I think also...
- 50:59Speaker 9: The NFL is way too far down the international playing
- 51:03Speaker 9: track to, I think, stop. But I wonder if there
- 51:07Speaker 9: are protocols that we need to be putting in place
- 51:09Speaker 9: for players who are on these international fights that literally
- 51:12Speaker 9: mandatory get up and stretch or mandatory wear compression socks.
- 51:15Speaker 9: It sounds silly, but things as simple as that can
- 51:18Speaker 9: legitimately change whether or not a player ends up with
- 51:21Speaker 9: these cloths.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Lots to dig into there.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Jory Epstein joining us from New York in the league
- 51:26Speaker 3: meetings in Manhattan. She does that every week, Courtney. Thanks
- 51:29Speaker 3: to Zeke's Pizza and Zeke'sPizza.com. You go to Zeke'sPizza.com, enter
- 51:33Speaker 3: the Pigskin10 promo. Enter Pigskin10. You get $ 10 off on
- 51:37Speaker 3: any delivery or pizza pickup. Then they have deals on
- 51:42Speaker 3: game days, Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Thursday. Whatever game footballs
- 51:47Speaker 3: are on, you get deals from Zeke's Pizza, Zeke'sPizza.com, and
- 51:50Speaker 3: the Zeke's Pizza app. Jory, you were in Giants Stadium
- 51:54Speaker 3: for the Giants and the Saints, and J.J. McCarthy came
- 51:57Speaker 3: out of nowhere. Everyone forgot about him. The Giants traded
- 52:00Speaker 3: for him, and then he looked wondrous in one quarter. Well,
- 52:03Speaker 3: wild may be a better word than wondrous. They didn't
- 52:07Speaker 3: have a run game, so they went to the pass game.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Is J.J.
- 52:10Speaker 3: McCarthy now the option the rest of the season at
- 52:12Speaker 3: the Giants? And then a correlated question I'm going to
- 52:14Speaker 3: ask you about Najee Harris. Does he have anything left
- 52:16Speaker 3: the Seahawks might be.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Interested in him?
- 52:20Speaker 9: I think when you talk about J.J. McCarthy, it was
- 52:22Speaker 9: interesting because Jameis Winston had that job. And I think
- 52:25Speaker 9: the sense around the Giants building was, as long as
- 52:28Speaker 9: Jameis isn't actively losing games, keep them out there.
- 52:31Speaker 2: J.J.
- 52:31Speaker 9: 's just getting acclimated. They traded a fifth, I believe
- 52:33Speaker 9: it was on September 28th, to get him. And he
- 52:36Speaker 9: didn't have, like, clearly if he was still worth what
- 52:38Speaker 9: he was when he was drafted in the first round,
- 52:40Speaker 9: the Vikings wouldn't have dealt him for a fifth and
- 52:42Speaker 9: benched him for Kyler Murray and put him below Carson
- 52:44Speaker 9: Wentz on the bench chart. But then he gets here,
- 52:47Speaker 9: and then after... The first interception, Jameis Winston threw against
- 52:50Speaker 9: the Saints. He stays on the field. But after the second,
- 52:52Speaker 9: it was almost like a garbage time decision, close to,
- 52:55Speaker 9: because it's already the fourth quarter. You're down by 24 points.
- 52:59Speaker 9: I mean, there's kind of this question of what's JJ
- 53:02Speaker 9: actually going to do. Then JJ goes in the game
- 53:04Speaker 9: and throws an interception. You're like, okay, well, it's just
- 53:06Speaker 9: going to be more of the same. But he rebounded
- 53:08Speaker 9: from throwing an interception to have 242 episodes. I think
- 53:11Speaker 9: it's It was 269 yards from scrimmage and three scoring drives,
- 53:20Speaker 9: all in the fourth quarter. I mean, it was crazy. Now,
- 53:22Speaker 9: John Harbaugh made very clear to tell us, like, look,
- 53:24Speaker 9: this isn't normal football. This isn't catch-up football. It's up-tempo.
- 53:28Speaker 9: We're playing a little bit differently. But you can't deny, one,
- 53:31Speaker 9: what he did, and two, the impact it had on
- 53:33Speaker 9: the Giants locker room. I talked to players, including fullback
- 53:35Speaker 9: Patrick Ricard, who has played for Harbaugh for 10 years,
- 53:38Speaker 9: including in Baltimore. And he was like, look, JJ gave
- 53:40Speaker 9: us a spark. That's no knock on Jameis. They all
- 53:42Speaker 9: really like Jameis personally. But Harbaugh tends to go with
- 53:45Speaker 9: the player who earned it on merit. I mean, he
- 53:47Speaker 9: benched Cam Scadaboo this week, or he said he didn't.
- 53:50Speaker 9: I say he did. That's a whole other story. What's
- 53:53Speaker 9: going to happen? So I think, to me, there's like
- 53:55Speaker 9: a two-part decision. The first is... Are you going to
- 53:57Speaker 9: play J.J. McCarthy this week? Yes, you have momentum, but
- 54:00Speaker 9: you're facing the Houston Texans, who I recognize their record,
- 54:03Speaker 9: but we all know what that defensive line is. The
- 54:05Speaker 9: Giants have had kind of like musical chairs on their
- 54:09Speaker 9: offensive line. Is that really the best team to start
- 54:11Speaker 9: him against? And you can say, well, is any week good? No,
- 54:14Speaker 9: but it's Houston and then a bye week. And so
- 54:17Speaker 9: if you throw J.J. McCarthy out there against Houston and
- 54:19Speaker 9: it goes poorly, then what are you going to do
- 54:21Speaker 9: after the bye? If you throw Jameis out there, at
- 54:23Speaker 9: least to start the game against Houston, then maybe after
- 54:26Speaker 9: the bye, you kind of have extra time to get J.J.
- 54:28Speaker 9: McCarthy up to speed. So I would be surprised if
- 54:32Speaker 9: similar trends continue, if J.J. McCarthy is not starting the
- 54:34Speaker 9: game after their bye. I think they have a decision
- 54:37Speaker 9: to make of whether he's ready and able for the Texans.
- 54:40Speaker 9: The last thing to note here is the Giants– Yes,
- 54:44Speaker 9: every playbook is so big you can emphasize different things,
- 54:47Speaker 9: but they generally built an offense around Jackson Dart who
- 54:50Speaker 9: is a very mobile quarterback. And there are elements of
- 54:52Speaker 9: their offense, including what it does for their run game,
- 54:55Speaker 9: that rely on a mobile quarterback.
- 54:57Speaker 6: J.J.
- 54:57Speaker 9: McCarthy is more able to run and be a threat
- 55:00Speaker 9: in that offense than Jameis Winston is. It's not necessarily
- 55:03Speaker 9: that he's a better player right now, but he is
- 55:04Speaker 9: a better fit for their offense. So that will be
- 55:06Speaker 9: a big factor in the decision.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Let me ask about Najee Harris. The Giants just released
- 55:10Speaker 2: him this morning. They've got all kinds of running back issues.
- 55:13Speaker 2: They're benching Scadaboo. They have no running game. 34 yards
- 55:17Speaker 2: rushing against the Saints. And now Najee Harris is gone
- 55:19Speaker 2: after saying, man, it's pretty tough to get into rhythm
- 55:21Speaker 2: when I'm getting the ball once every hour.
- 55:23Speaker 3: And now he's a free agent. He was a perennial
- 55:25Speaker 3: 1,000-yard rusher. Of course, you know that with the Steelers
- 55:28Speaker 3: after they drafted him. And then he went to the
- 55:30Speaker 3: Chargers at the end of his rookie deal, and he
- 55:32Speaker 3: had A major injury one month into his Chargers tenure.
- 55:36Speaker 2: He was out since last September. Signs of the Giants
- 55:38Speaker 2: now released. Free agent. The Seahawks need.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Running back help in a big way while they wait
- 55:43Speaker 3: for Zach Charbonnet to get to full strength and Jadari
- 55:46Speaker 3: and Price to come off injured reserve next month.
- 55:48Speaker 2: Is Najee Harris got anything left? And could that be
- 55:51Speaker 2: a Seahawks option, you think?
- 55:54Speaker 9: It's tough to know if he has something left. And
- 55:56Speaker 9: also to me, there is a question, does he have
- 55:57Speaker 9: something left now versus in a year? I'm a big
- 55:59Speaker 9: believer in the whole first year back from tearing your Achilles.
- 56:03Speaker 9: It's difficult to play at your top level two years
- 56:06Speaker 9: back or even three, as we're seeing with Kirk Cousins.
- 56:08Speaker 9: You might get a little back into the rhythm. Is
- 56:10Speaker 9: it worth taking a fire on him? He shouldn't cross much.
- 56:12Speaker 9: I don't think there's much of a downside, but I
- 56:15Speaker 9: don't expect him to be some savior at this point.
- 56:18Speaker 9: I mean, this is a player who had in five
- 56:22Speaker 9: games for the Giants, 99 yards, 3.2 yards per carry.
- 56:27Speaker 9: One catch for five yards. He's never been the most explosive.
- 56:31Speaker 9: He was always more of a ground-and-pound, I would say,
- 56:33Speaker 9: but you still want to see a little bit more
- 56:34Speaker 9: from him.
- 56:35Speaker 3: And he was the Giants' second-leading rusher. Still is, even
- 56:38Speaker 3: though they cut him. And the first-leading rusher for the
- 56:40Speaker 3: Giants got benched.
- 56:42Speaker 9: I don't know what's going on with that running back room, Greg.
- 56:44Speaker 9: You'll appreciate this as a reporter. We're talking to John
- 56:47Speaker 9: Harbaugh about the Camp Scaboo benching after the game, and
- 56:49Speaker 9: Harbaugh's like... He wasn't benched. So what they did is
- 56:53Speaker 9: they put him in, I think it was for something
- 56:54Speaker 9: like six match, entirely pass blocking, zero carries. This is
- 56:58Speaker 9: your top running back who all of a sudden has
- 56:59Speaker 9: zero carries, which the fantasy world was in a fit over.
- 57:02Speaker 9: And he was like, it wasn't by design. It just
- 57:05Speaker 9: happened to be we weren't running when he was in. Like,
- 57:07Speaker 9: we have a rotation. And we're like, come on, just
- 57:09Speaker 9: be honest. Anyway, I digress.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Veteran coach with the circumspect questioning and answer. I'm very aware,
- 57:17Speaker 2: a veteran of that myself. Is the NFC West race
- 57:21Speaker 2: already over, you think, Jory?
- 57:22Speaker 3: The Niners are three and a half games up on
- 57:24Speaker 3: the Seahawks with a win in hand over the champs.
- 57:26Speaker 2: They're four and a half games up over the Rams,
- 57:28Speaker 2: who apparently aren't going undefeated.
- 57:30Speaker 3: I looked at their schedule until the Seahawks play San
- 57:33Speaker 3: Francisco and Santa Clara Thanksgiving weekend. I don't think they're
- 57:36Speaker 3: going to lose. I mean, they got a couple cupcakes.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Vegas has kind of fallen back to three and three.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Is it over? Are the Seahawks and Rams battling for
- 57:45Speaker 2: a wild card at this point?
- 57:49Speaker 9: Yeah, it's a good question. I mean, I'd be surprised
- 57:51Speaker 9: if they don't win, but I don't think it's over.
- 57:53Speaker 9: And the reason, unfortunately, it's the same reason we always
- 57:56Speaker 9: say for the 49ers, which is their injuries. I mean,
- 57:58Speaker 9: think about Mike Evans last night going out with his
- 58:00Speaker 9: Achilles injury. He was pretty significant. I think you know,
- 58:04Speaker 9: and your audience knows in that Seattle game, he really
- 58:07Speaker 9: was the difference that put them over the top. And
- 58:09Speaker 9: so they have multiple weapons, but I do think that
- 58:13Speaker 9: they built a roster that is at least in part
- 58:15Speaker 9: dependent on the Players whose ceiling is high, but are
- 58:18Speaker 9: also aging and have injury histories. And so that's always
- 58:22Speaker 9: going to be the question. I'd be surprised if they
- 58:24Speaker 9: don't win the division, but I do think you have
- 58:26Speaker 9: to worry about that. You make a good point that again,
- 58:28Speaker 9: coming up, they've got Atlanta, they've got Vegas, they got Dallas.
- 58:31Speaker 9: They're definitely better than all of those teams. Minnesota right
- 58:33Speaker 9: before Seattle.
- 58:34Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 58:35Speaker 9: It probably depends how full strength they are. They're probably
- 58:38Speaker 9: a better team, but that defense will be able to
- 58:42Speaker 9: give them a little bit of trouble. I still think
- 58:45Speaker 9: that they should be great when they get to the playoffs, though,
- 58:47Speaker 9: because whether or not Mike Evans is 100%, you kind
- 58:49Speaker 9: of have this flexibility of, if you're the Rams... And
- 58:53Speaker 9: you want to rest people like you have all these
- 58:55Speaker 9: injuries and you also don't have wins. If you're the
- 58:57Speaker 9: Niners and Mike Evans needs a couple of games off, well,
- 58:59Speaker 9: look at what you built. Deshaun Stripling is going to
- 59:01Speaker 9: come back. You're going to get these guys out. Christian
- 59:03Speaker 9: Kirk is going to come back. So I definitely think
- 59:05Speaker 9: they should win the division, but I wouldn't say it's
- 59:07Speaker 9: quite over yet because of their potential injuries. concerns.
- 59:11Speaker 2: Jory, trying to give Seahawks fans hope there. Jory Epstein.
- 59:14Speaker 4: We love it. We welcome it.
- 59:16Speaker 2: On the Beacon Plumbing Hotline, Jory Epstein joins us every Tuesday.
- 59:18Speaker 9: You have more hope than Los Angeles right now.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Man.
- 59:21Speaker 4: Oh, that's music to our ears.
- 59:22Speaker 3: So you can't win a world title in May and
- 59:25Speaker 3: June and July.
- 59:27Speaker 2: That's good to know.
- 59:28Speaker 7: Thanks.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Dan Quinn, come in. Go ahead.
- 59:32Speaker 9: Go for it. I was just going to say, if
- 59:34Speaker 9: you're the Rams, again, you took even.
- 59:36Speaker 5: More of a.
- 59:38Speaker 9: Swing on aging veterans. Unfortunately, a lot of them are
- 59:41Speaker 9: getting hurt. So there'll be a promise they make it
- 59:43Speaker 9: to the playoffs. But right now, they don't look like
- 59:44Speaker 9: they're going to.
- 59:45Speaker 3: Dan Quinn and the Commanders. What's going on to end
- 59:48Speaker 3: the games at fourth down? Last night, he didn't look
- 59:50Speaker 3: like he knew it was fourth down. He was talking
- 59:52Speaker 3: about a field goal that couldn't happen because the fourth
- 59:54Speaker 3: down was already over. Jaden Daniels just chucks the ball
- 59:57Speaker 3: into the stands on fourth down. And last year, you
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: saw the Giants game last week. The overtime just ended
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: because Daniels wasn't aware that the clock was running out or.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: At least didn't appear.
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: Didn't look good for the commanders. Dan, what's the whole
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: thing there, do you think, with just awareness and who's
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: blamed for that?
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: Yeah, so Dan Quinn said after the game that he
- 1:00:20Speaker 9: knew it was fourth down. The question was, I believe
- 1:00:22Speaker 9: there was an illegal shift on the play because he
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: was trying to understand whether that penalty would influence the
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: field goal.
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: So.
- 1:00:28Speaker 9: I mean, it doesn't look great what happened on that play,
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: but that concerns me less than the week before. The
- 1:00:32Speaker 9: week before was a huge problem, and I talked to
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: game management coordinators around the league trying to understand what's
- 1:00:37Speaker 9: actually happening when you're kind of... Essentially, the question was, clearly,
- 1:00:42Speaker 9: you got Spikes Ball in time to get the field
- 1:00:44Speaker 9: goal off when the commanders are trying to beat the
- 1:00:46Speaker 9: Giants in overtime. But who's in charge of making that call?
- 1:00:49Speaker 9: Is it the quarterback who needs to be aware of
- 1:00:51Speaker 9: the clock? Is it the play caller who's getting the
- 1:00:53Speaker 9: play in? Is it Gansman who says, like, hey, you
- 1:00:55Speaker 9: need to make sure that you're not subbing personnel? All
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: the different levels to this. And I think there was
- 1:01:01Speaker 9: clearly a botch in the operation. The question is which
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: of the, like, 15 things that needed to go right
- 1:01:06Speaker 9: went wrong or which of the several among those. The
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: problem is also that you know who this league is
- 1:01:13Speaker 9: better than I do. And Whether or not it should
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: be the case, not all losses are created equally when
- 1:01:19Speaker 9: a coach is on the hot seat or when a
- 1:01:21Speaker 9: coach's job is potentially in consideration. Embarrassing losses matter. And
- 1:01:26Speaker 9: I think we saw that when the Jets fired Robert
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: Sala after they played in England and Woody Johnson had
- 1:01:32Speaker 9: been the ambassador over there. So it was embarrassing to him.
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: I think the Saints ownership came out really hard just
- 1:01:37Speaker 9: now in Kellen Moore before the Giants game where it
- 1:01:39Speaker 9: was like, hey, 20 year anniversary of Katrina. And then
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: you have the drew breeze inaugural into their hall of
- 1:01:46Speaker 9: fame and you don't want to lose those games and
- 1:01:48Speaker 9: be embarrassed while doing it so magic johnson tweeting about
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: the embarrassment does make me more worried about this um
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: but i also think we saw the second half of
- 1:01:56Speaker 9: last night that james the commanders are not like dead
- 1:01:59Speaker 9: in the water and not playing very much and jaden
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: daniel's got into a rhythm that defense really forced quite
- 1:02:03Speaker 9: a few three and outs toward the end of the
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: game so they have something left but at some point
- 1:02:07Speaker 9: you got to turn it into wins.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: The Magic Johnson reference, Joy, of course, Magic Johnson is
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: one of the owners of the Commanders. Jessamyn's in the
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: producer booth here wincing because she's a big– she has
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: a bunch of friends in the Commanders.
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: I have a lot of friends at the Commanders, yes.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: She's wincing at talking about the Commanders.
- 1:02:25Speaker 9: I mean, it's football. I mean, look, the NFC is
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: wide open, so they're not out of it.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: That's true. That is true. I mean, the Giants are
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: in first place.
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: For the first time since 1970, I believe it was,
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: a division play. All four teams played two straight weeks
- 1:02:37Speaker 9: in a row, and nobody won.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: 0-6-2.
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: 0-6-2.
- 1:02:39Speaker 9: That's crazy. 0-6-2 the last two weeks of the NFC.
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: It is crazy.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: And the Giants are in first place at 3-2-1. And
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: they're going to get a home playoff game out of this.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: That makes you think, well, if the Seahawks make the playoffs,
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: wild card might be a decent thing. Because the NFC
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: South is bad.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Whoever wins that is going to be mediocre. And the
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: NFC East is subterranean. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:03:05Speaker 9: Think NFC wild card is a bad place to be.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's a silver lining, perhaps, to the 49ers
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: boat racing everybody.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: Nobody's talking about the Chiefs defense. I know the Chargers
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: and Mike McDaniel got big problems. But only allowing six
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: points to the Chargers on Sunday in Arrowhead, beating them 22-6.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: They're among the league leaders in yards and specifically points.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: The Chiefs are undefeated, yes, largely because of the leading
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: rusher in the NFL, Kenneth Walker.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: We don't need to remind Seattle people that.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: But what about this Chiefs defense, and how do you
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: think that's going to look in this whole matchup Sunday
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: night in Seattle?
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: Yeah, I think the Chiefs defense is really strong. They're
- 1:03:44Speaker 9: second in points allowed, eighth in yards allowed. They're pretty
- 1:03:47Speaker 9: good every year. And you have to keep in mind,
- 1:03:49Speaker 9: they're doing this despite sending both of their veteran corners,
- 1:03:52Speaker 9: one by trade and one letting him walk in credency,
- 1:03:54Speaker 9: to the Los Angeles Rams. You kind of have this
- 1:03:57Speaker 9: model that you see in teams like Kansas City, I
- 1:03:59Speaker 9: would say Minnesota now, and Philadelphia, where these former head
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: coaches who are great defensive coordinators are at a stage
- 1:04:06Speaker 9: in their career where at least for two of those three,
- 1:04:07Speaker 9: they're not going anywhere. Steve Spagnola just creates these blitzes
- 1:04:11Speaker 9: that are such a problem for opposing defenses. He understands
- 1:04:14Speaker 9: how to use his personnel and he's really good at
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: developing players. So it doesn't really matter who he has.
- 1:04:19Speaker 9: They're always going to kind of like meet or exceed expectations.
- 1:04:22Speaker 9: So I definitely saw them make things difficult for Bo
- 1:04:25Speaker 9: Nix when I was at their game first week of
- 1:04:27Speaker 9: the season. I think you've continued to see that throughout
- 1:04:30Speaker 9: the season, but yeah, they should, I would say from
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: a turnover standpoint, you got to be a little bit
- 1:04:36Speaker 9: careful of them because they do know how to intercept passes.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Joy, where are you going to be this week? Another
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: home game? I know there's Jets, Giants, who always give
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: you an option to go to the Meadowlands. What are
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: you going to be watching in NFL Week 7?
- 1:04:51Speaker 9: This week, I've got Cowboys at Eagles on Monday night,
- 1:04:55Speaker 9: which I've got to say looked like a very different
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: game when I initially planned to go to it. It's
- 1:05:01Speaker 9: interesting still, but for different reasons. That will absolutely be
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: an interesting one to keep an eye on. I think
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: we've got a few that we want to see. I mean,
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: I think one that won't be close but will be
- 1:05:13Speaker 9: notable for each team is you've got Minnesota, Indianapolis, Indianapolis
- 1:05:16Speaker 9: reeling after the firing of their general manager. And if
- 1:05:19Speaker 9: you need to get right games, facing Brian Forrest in
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: defense is not the game that you want. Green Bay, Detroit,
- 1:05:24Speaker 9: that's just a division in the NFC North that, I mean,
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: Green Bay seems like they're very much still alive. And
- 1:05:30Speaker 9: despite the injuries, they're finding a way to be competitive.
- 1:05:32Speaker 9: They looked great against the Cowboys. Cincinnati, Baltimore, and other
- 1:05:35Speaker 9: division games. Obviously, your Kansas City-Seattle game kind of takes
- 1:05:39Speaker 9: the cake, but there are a few games where I'm like,
- 1:05:41Speaker 9: what can these guys do?
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Come on out to Seattle for Chief Seahawks. We'll get
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: you Zeke's Pizza. We'll hook you up with all kinds
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: of Zeke's. You can have hoodies and hats and pigskin
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: 10 coupon codes.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: We'll hook you up with Zeke's. Come on out to
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Seattle anytime.
- 1:05:54Speaker 9: There you go. We'll have to do it.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: Thanks, Jory.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: Go back to work at the league meetings. Thanks for
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: taking time out with us. We'll see you next Wednesday.
- 1:06:03Speaker 9: Greg, Jess, it's been great to talk to you. Talk
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: to you next week.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Thank you. Next Tuesday, I should say.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: Jory Epstein, senior NFL writer for Yahoo Sports, joining us
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: from NFL owners meetings in Manhattan, where she thinks she's
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: going to talk to Adam Sills. Alan Sills is the
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: chief medical officer for the NFL to talk about this
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts situation. The NFC West the rest of this week.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: The Rams are at the Raiders. The Raiders have lost
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: three in a row since the 3-0 start for the
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Clint Kubiaks. And the 49ers, after that win last night,
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: are playing on a short week in Atlanta against where
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: the Falcons have regressed the last couple weeks when it
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: looked like Michael Penix had that offense rolling in Atlanta.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: Now the Falcons are 2-4, hosting the 6-0.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: That's what's ahead in the NFC West while the Seahawks
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: Sunday night are hosting the undefeated Chiefs. Up next, your
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: chance to be a part of the show, 49451 on
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: the Tacoma Dodge text line. We'll read back your talkbacks
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: if you have any on the iHeartRadio app or 933KJR.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Com.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: And remember, it's a Kraken ticket Tuesday. When you hear
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: the horn and Everett fits you, you will need a
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: 10th caller to 206-286-9595. And you and a friend will
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: be going October 28th to Climate Pledge Arena to see
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: the Kraken play the Toronto Maple Leafs.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: All that's coming up on 93.3 KJRFM.
- 1:07:18Speaker 12: Regarding Zach Charbonnet, you know, Ken Walker leaving could end
- 1:07:23Speaker 12: up making Zach Charbonnet a lot of money because now
- 1:07:26Speaker 12: the Seahawks really need him.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: And if he shows up, Ken.
- 1:07:30Speaker 12: Walker, ironically, could make Zach Charbonnet a couple extra million dollars.
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: Hey, Greg and Jess, Brandon and Edmunds here. So my
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: girlfriend is a nurse practitioner, and how she explained it
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: with regards to Jalen Hurts is that he's on blood thinners.
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: So if he were to take a hit to the head,
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: he could have a potential brain bleed. He could also
- 1:07:53Speaker 8: have internal bleeding if he took a shot to the ribs.
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: So that's the rationale for him not playing. It's not
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: the clot itself, it's the fact that he's on blood thinner.
- 1:08:04Speaker 10: I can see it now, Elijah on the mountaintop, bringing
- 1:08:08Speaker 10: the Huskies some victories.
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: Elijah Brownbow. I'll tell you what, I can't wait to
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: see Jack Charbonnet, Jack O'Charbonnet out there.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: On the field, running the.
- 1:08:21Speaker 10: Rock for the Seahawks.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Yes, sirree, Bob.
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: Hey, let's say we got Sammy Bradford coming back via
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: the lineman of the year. We got that coming, dude.
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: Well, that was a wide range.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: That was a wide range. Yeah, the blood thinner thing
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: is exactly right. The internal bleeding you could get from
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: the blood not being able to clot. The blood thinners
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: keep your blood from clotting, and that could be a
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: big problem if you have internal injuries and get banged
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: in a typical NFL game.
- 1:08:50Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: David Hurts out for the season because of blood clots
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: in his lungs. story epstein just talking to us from
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: new york about that lots of four nine four five
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: one lots of feedback on pumpkin patches we'll get to
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: a couple and then we'll get to factor fiction but.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Thomas thomas and family and enum claw is that right
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: or am.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: I getting them conflated there Remlinger Farms I know about.
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: The rides and the pumpkin patch right outside of it.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: There's also, I'm told there's another one in Carnation that's
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: outside of Remlinger Farm. Thomas in the 360 says, Thomas
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: in Family Farm is the best pumpkin patch you will
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: ever find. Most activities for kids ever. Made to order donuts,
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: petting zoo, corn pit, bar for the adults.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: That's kind of what the E.B. Island one is.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: I like that. I'd love a petting zoo. Sorry, just
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: let me hug any animal.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: Who wants $ 1, 000?
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: Your chance is right now.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: We're set to go. Glad you're with us.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: It's your shot at our weekly $ 1, 000 and the $ 10, 000
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: grand prize.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: It's Fact or Fiction.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Proudly presented by Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel, where every
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: day feels lucky.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Fact or Fiction is on.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Sports Radio 93.3, KJR FM.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: Jessamyn McIntyre has the comms. Tuesday's her day and NFL's
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: her sports.
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: I am definitely a see you next Tuesday. Here we go.
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: Guys, I just saw this spread, and I am picking
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: with my heart, but it's the black.
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: Side of my heart.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Does that mean Jets? No.
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: It is against the Patriots.
- 1:10:24Speaker 5: I'm taking the Bears minus three as they host the Patriots,
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: and that is a Thursday night football game.
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: So I'm voting with.
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: The bright lights once again, and I want to watch
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: the Patriots suffer on national television.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: I think it's a good one. I don't think the
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: Patriots are very good. No, they're not.
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: And I'm actually in for the Bears this year. When
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: it comes to that side of the conference, I would
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: say that direction of the conference, because they're in the
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: NFC North. But I like Chicago. And I really do
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: not like the Patriots.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: Caleb Williams coming back from injury, planning on starting this
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: Thursday night game on a short break. Now, of course,
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Seattle fans would want the Patriots to win this game
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: because it may come down to a wild card battle
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: between Chicago and Seattle.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: That is true. But I'm going with the dark side.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Of my heart.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: She's a Jets fan who hates the Patriots. You know what?
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: I relate to the Seahawks' defensive backfield in the dark side.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: True to your roots.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: Born and raised in Long Island. So, of course, you
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: would go against the Patriots. If you agree with Jessamyn...
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: The Bears minus three, meaning that she thinks they're going
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: to beat the Patriots by four or more points Thursday
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: night at Soldier Field in Chicago.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: Which they will.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: If you agree with that, text FACT to 49451. If
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: you disagree, text FICTION to 49451. You have about 11
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: minutes now. And then Ian Furness will have another one
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: at 235. Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel brings you the
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: chance every week to win $ 1, 000 and a chance to
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: win $ 10, 000 if you win the most between now and
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Army-Navy Friday, December 11th, when the contest ends. Let me
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: just summarize for you how this show works with Factor Fiction.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: We went 4-1 last week.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: Jess has been telling me yesterday we're the only show
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: above 500. Chuck's crowing at me yesterday about how he wins.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: I'm like, well, I wasn't even here last year, and
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: I had the most wins.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Two years ago.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: This show is 18-12 coming into this week. We were
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: 4-1 last week.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: So the bottom line is, if you want to win $ 1, 000,
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: text FACT. If you want to not.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: Win $ 1, 000, text FICTION to 49451.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: That's as simple as I can tell you. You don't
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: even have to know what the pick is. Just pick
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: FACT at 1135 to 49451, and you're going to have
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: a chance to win $ 1, 000. That's basically what our show
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: comes down to.
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I'm looking at the hosts. So there's
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: host standings. Yes, there's show standings. First place by a mile.
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: First place by a mile.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: Nobody's even 500, you said?
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: Chuck in the morning is 13 and 17. Ian is
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: 8 and 18. 8 and 18?
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: Softie and Dick are 10 and 18.
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: Stick to Pucks, 10 and 18.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: They're the NFC South of fact or fiction.
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: Oh, now that's just mean.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: 10 and 8, 8 and 18?
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: And if people are confused by those numbers, there are
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: certain times where we don't get picks if we have
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: the Kraken on early, if there are other things, if
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: we have a Husky pregame show. So that's why certain...
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: Shows have less picks than us, so don't try to
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: number us out here. 18 and 12, man. We are
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: 18 and 12, so we're not just above 500.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: No.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: We are well above 500. We're at 60% right now,
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: and I'm batting a clean 50. I've literally gone one
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: and one every single week.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: Have you really? Yes. So you're dead 500.
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: 500.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: So that means I'm six over.
- 1:13:52Speaker 6: It works.
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, you're crushing it.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: So I'm leaving the station.
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: Hold on. Let me look.
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: I don't know how updated these are.
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: Yes, you are leading the station by a good 11%.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: So it happens when you hire a football writer to
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: host a show, I guess. I'm kidding. I'm smiling if
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: you see it on YouTube.
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: Of course you are.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: I'm kind of kidding. Maybe a little bit.
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: Well, no, I'm just, you know, Chuck was explaining. So
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: Chuck individually is seven and six. However, Anders and Kidd
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: also pick on his show. So that's his show. Oh,
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: you're trying to say they're the weights to bring him down?
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: I mean, you're still up. You're four games above him.
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: So you're 11% ahead of him. I'm just talking about
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: how everything. And I'm a clean 6-6. But other people
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: pick on other shows. For instance, on Ian's show, Ashley
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: has picks. And then on Softie and Dick's show, Jackson
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: has picks. So everybody's in it.
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: On the text line, 49451, there are a ton of
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: In Living Color.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: I mean, we were all over it.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: Best show ever. That was my favorite segment. 360 says,
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Fire Marshall Bill.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. Though many of you, many
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: of you got the Men on Film reference. Hated it. Yeah.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Good job on that. That was really good. That was,
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: I mean, people were all over it. Tim, a friend
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: of the show, 206 says.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Carpento Brothers has a great pumpkin patch.
- 1:15:23Speaker 9: Oh, where is it?
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: Carpento Brothers.
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: I don't know where that is.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: Okay, I'll look it up.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Gordon Skagit Farm.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: A little bit longer drive from Seattle, but the most
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: picturesque farm I've been to.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: Great for fall photos, the 425 says.
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: I think there's just, we're having such a good fallout here.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: I saw where this is the driest on record. October.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: The driest ever October in Seattle.
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: Well, usually you get the drying out during September and
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: then the rain comes in and all.
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: The leaves go down.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: We get the flooding on the street and then we
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: don't get the colors.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: That's true. Yeah. Marist Farms in Enumclaw. That's the Enumclaw
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: one I was looking for. Okay.
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: I'm looking it up.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: Marist Farms. Looks pretty sweet.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: M-A-R-I-S. Marist Farms.
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: Oh, they have a fall fest.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: Craven Farms in Snohomish.
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: Oh, that's by me.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: Gordon's in Mount Money Earning Mount Vernon. Come on. Does
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: anyone out there know the Money Earning Mount Vernon reference?
- 1:16:23Speaker 7: No.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Sorry. Money Earning Mount Vernon.
- 1:16:26Speaker 9: Oh, look at this.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: The section of New York City. Heavy D and the boys.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: Heavy D was one of my guys. I listened to
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: him all the time back at West Point. When I
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: was allowed, finally, to have a radio tape player.
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: You had to go to the Army to break out your.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: No, I wasn't allowed having my freshman year having any
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: stereo or anything. We were isolated from the world.
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: All we had was a New York Times that landed
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: on our doorstep, and we had to memorize that in
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: every formation. Bill, what was in the New York Times today? Sir,
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: today in the New York Times, it was reported that...
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: And I always went to the sports page, because we
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: were allowed to say sports page, too.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Well, that's why you're so smart.
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: No, that's what I was interested in. And then the
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: upperclassman got wise and said, you can't do sports. Bell,
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: tell us what's in the New York Times today, but
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: it's not sports.
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: Yeah, well, yeah, that'll happen. People will figure out your tricks.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: And Furness, as predicted, is in his tie ensemble because
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: he's going on TV tonight for the Kraken.
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: And one more time, my pick is the Bears minus
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: three points.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: As they host the Patriots.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: Thursday night. It's in Chicago.
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: Bears minus three over the Patriots. If you agree with
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: that pick, Bears win by four or more. Text FACT
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: to 49451. If you disagree, text FICTION to 49451. Ian's
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: going to tell us what he has on his show,
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: including probably something crackany.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: Next on 93.3 KJRFM.
- 1:17:54Speaker 12: Regarding Zach Charbonnet, you know, Ken Walker leaving could end
- 1:17:58Speaker 12: up making Zach Charbonnet a lot of money because now
- 1:18:01Speaker 12: the Seahawks really need him.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: And if he shows up, Ken.
- 1:18:05Speaker 12: Walker, ironically, could make Zach Charbonnet a couple extra million dollars.
- 1:18:11Speaker 8: Hey, Greg and Jess, Brandon and Edmunds here. So my
- 1:18:14Speaker 8: girlfriend is a nurse practitioner and how she explained it
- 1:18:19Speaker 8: with regards to Jalen Hurts is that he's on blood thinners.
- 1:18:23Speaker 8: So if he were to take a hit to the head,
- 1:18:25Speaker 8: he could have a potential brain bleed. He could also
- 1:18:28Speaker 8: have internal bleeding if he took a.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Shot to the ribs.
- 1:18:32Speaker 8: So that's the rationale for him not playing. It's not
- 1:18:37Speaker 8: the clot itself, it's the fact that he's on blood thinner.
- 1:18:40Speaker 10: I can see it now, Elijah on the mountaintop. Bringing
- 1:18:44Speaker 10: the Huskies some victories. Elijah Brown, boy.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: I'll tell you what.
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: I can't wait to see Jack Charbonnet, Jack O'Charbonnet out there.
- 1:18:54Speaker 10: On the field, running the rock for the Seahawks.
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: Yes, sirree, Bob.
- 1:18:59Speaker 7: Hey, let's say we got Sammy Bradford coming back via
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: the landing of the year. We got that coming, dude.
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: Well, that was a wide range.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: That was a wide range.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: Yeah, the blood thinner thing is exactly right. The internal
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: bleeding you could get from the blood not being able
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: to clot. The blood thinners keep your blood from clotting,
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: and that could be a big problem if you have
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: internal injuries and get banged in a typical NFL game.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: Zayden Hurts out for the season because of blood clots
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: in his lungs. Dory Epstein just talking to us from
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: New York about that. Lots of 49451, lots of feedback
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: on pumpkin patches. We'll get to a couple, and then
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: we'll get to fact or fiction. Thomas and family in Enumclaw,
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: is that right? Or am I getting them conflated there?
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: Rambler Farms I know about. The rides and the pumpkin
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: patch right outside of it. There's also, I'm told, there's
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: another one in Carnation that's outside of Rambler Farms. Thomas
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: in the 360 says, Thomas and Family Farm is the
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: best pumpkin patch you will ever find. Most activities for
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: kids ever. Made-to-order donuts, petting zoo, corn pit, bar for
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: the adults. That's kind of what the EB Island one is.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: I like that.
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: I'd love a petting zoo. Sorry, just let me hug
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: any animal.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: Who wants $ 1, 000?
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: Your chance is right now.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: We're set to go. Glad you're with us.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: It's your shot at our weekly $ 1, 000 and the $ 10, 000
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: grand prize.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: It's Fact or Fiction.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Proudly presented by Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel, where every
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: day feels lucky.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: Fact or Fiction is on.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Sports Radio 93.3, KJR FM.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: Jessamyn McIntyre has the comms. Tuesday's her day and NFL's
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: her sports.
- 1:20:44Speaker 5: I am definitely a see you next Tuesday.
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: Guys, I just saw this spread, and I am picking
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: with my heart, but it's the black side.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: Of my heart. Does that mean Jets? No.
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: It is against the Patriots.
- 1:20:59Speaker 5: I'm taking the Bears minus three as they host the Patriots,
- 1:21:03Speaker 5: and that is a Thursday night football game. So I'm
- 1:21:06Speaker 5: voting with the bright lights once again, and I want
- 1:21:09Speaker 5: to watch the Patriots suffer on national television.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: I think it's a good one. I don't think the
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: Patriots are very good. No, they're not.
- 1:21:17Speaker 5: And I'm actually in for the Bears this year. When
- 1:21:21Speaker 5: it comes to that side of the conference, I would
- 1:21:26Speaker 5: say that direction of the conference, because they're in the
- 1:21:28Speaker 5: NFC North. But I like Chicago. And I really do
- 1:21:34Speaker 5: not like the Patriots.
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: Caleb Williams coming back from injury, planning on starting this
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: Thursday night game on a short break. Now, of course,
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: Seattle fans would want the Patriots to win this game
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: because it may come down to a wild card battle
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: between Chicago and Seattle.
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: That is true, but I'm going with the dark side.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: Of my heart. Yes. She's a Jets fan who hates
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: the Patriots. You know what?
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: I relate to the Seahawks' defensive backfield in the dark side.
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: True to your roots. Born and raised in Long Island,
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: so of course you would go against the Patriots. If
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: you agree with Jessamyn... The Bears.
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: Minus three, meaning that she thinks they're going to beat
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: the Patriots by four or more points Thursday night at
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: Soldier Field in Chicago.
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: Which they will.
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: If you agree with that, text FACT to 49451. If
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: you disagree, text FICTION to 49451. You have about 11
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: minutes now. And then Ian Furness will have another one

- 1:22:30Speaker 3: Army-Navy Friday, December 11th, when the contest ends. Let me
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: just summarize for you how this show works with Factor Fiction.
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: We went 4-1 last week.
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: Jess has been telling me yesterday we're the only show
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: above 500. Chuck's crowing at me yesterday about how he wins.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: I'm like, I wasn't even here last year, and I
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: had the most wins two years ago. This show is
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: 18-12 coming into this week. We were 4-1 last week.
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: So the bottom line is, if you want to win $ 1, 000,
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: text FACT. If you want to not win $ 1, 000, text
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: FICTION to 49451. That's as simple as I can tell you.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: You don't even have to know what the pick is.
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: Just pick FACT at 1135 to 49451, and you're going.

- 1:25:11Speaker 5: how everything. And I'm a clean 6-6. But other people
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: pick on other shows. For instance, on Ian's show, Ashley
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: has picks. And then on Softie and Dick's show, Jackson
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: has picks. So everybody's in it.
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: On the text line, 49451, there are a ton of
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: In Living Color.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: I mean, we were all over it. Best show ever.
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: That was my favorite segment. 360 says, Fire Marshall Bill.
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. Though many of you, many
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: of you got the Men on Film reference. Hated it. Yeah.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: Good job on that. That was really good. That was,
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: I mean, people were all over it.
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: Tim, a friend of the show, 206 says, Carpento Brothers
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: has a great pumpkin patch.
- 1:25:58Speaker 6: Oh, where is it?
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: Carpento Brothers.
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: I don't know where that is.
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: Okay, I'll look it up.
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: Gordon Skagit Farm. A little bit longer drive from Seattle,
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: but the most picturesque farm I've been to. Great for
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: fall photos, the 425 says.
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: I think there's just, we're having such a good fallout here.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: I saw where this is the driest on record. October.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: The driest ever October in Seattle.
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: Well, usually you get the drying out during September and
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: then the rain comes in and all the.
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: Leaves go down.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: We get the flooding on the street and then we
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: don't get the colors.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: That's true. Yeah. Marist Farms in Enumclaw. That's the Enumclaw
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: one I was looking for.
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: I'm looking it up. Okay. Marist Farms. Looks pretty sweet.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: M-A-R-I-S. Marist Farms.
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: Oh, they have a fall fest.
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: Craven Farms in Snohomish.
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: Oh, that's by me.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: Gordon's in Money Earning Mount Vernon. Come on. Does anyone
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: out there know the Money Earning Mount Vernon reference?
- 1:26:58Speaker 5: No.
- 1:27:00Speaker 13: Sorry.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: Money Earning Mount Vernon.
- 1:27:02Speaker 9: Oh, look at this.
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: The section of New York City, Heavy D and the Boys.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: Heavy D was one of my guys. I listened to
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: him all the time back at West Point. When I
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: was allowed finally to have a radio tape player.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: You had to go.
- 1:27:16Speaker 4: To the army to break out your.
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: No, I wasn't allowed having my freshman year having any
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: stereo or anything.
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: We were isolated from the world.
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: All we had was a New York Times that landed
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: on our doorstep and we had to memorize that in
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: every formation. Bell, what was in the New York Times today? Sir,
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: today in the New York Times it was reported that.
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: And I always went to the sports page because we
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: were allowed to say sports page too. Well, that's why
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: you're so smart. No, that's what I was interested in.
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: And then the upperclassman got wise and said, you can't
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: do sports. Bell, tell us what's in the New York
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: Times today, but it's not sports.
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: Yeah, well, yeah, that'll happen. People will figure out your tricks.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: And Furness, as predicted, is in his tie ensemble because
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: he's going on TV tonight for the Kraken.
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: And one more time, my pick is the Bears minus
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: three points. As they host the Patriots.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: Thursday night. It's in Chicago.
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: Bears minus three over the Patriots. If you agree with
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: that pick, Bears win by four or more. Text FACT
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: to 49451.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: If you disagree, text FICTION to 49451.
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: Ian's going to tell us what he has on his show,
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: including probably something crackany.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: Next on 93.3 KJRFM. Welcome back, Greg. Bell, Justin McIntyre,
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: joined by Ian Furness, whose show comes up 12 to
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: 3 every weekday on 93.3 KJR FM. And he's in
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Kraken attire, meaning television attire, meaning open-collared shirt, hair looking good,
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: no cap, no hoodie. Yeah, no hoodie. No hoodie, no
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: baseball hat. That's back tomorrow.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: Yes, because he's got TV tonight because the Kraken are
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: playing at 640 puck drop against the Detroit Red Wings.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: That's a winnable game, too. They've just beat them in Detroit.
- 1:29:08Speaker 6: It is.
- 1:29:08Speaker 13: They've Red Wings are playing well, though. Just had a
- 1:29:11Speaker 13: great road trip at 3-1-1. You don't want to come
- 1:29:14Speaker 13: home and have that just kind of go for naught.
- 1:29:15Speaker 13: So it's big game time.
- 1:29:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: Let's go. Let's get a win. You were talking offline
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: about Jalen Hurts. Yeah. How I was trying to get
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: at how the Eagles are not in trouble. I can't
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: fathom why they're not. Yeah, this looks bad. It seems
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: bad and it is bad. Athletics saying the league.
- 1:29:37Speaker 13: Has concluded the process surrounding Jalen Hurts with a superficial
- 1:29:42Speaker 13: blood clot, quote, was handled appropriately.
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: In full disclosure, I had a blood clot.
- 1:29:51Speaker 13: mid-August and spent, yeah, just as you did, I think
- 1:29:56Speaker 13: right about the same time, they both had hospital time.
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: That's always fun in our area.
- 1:30:03Speaker 13: So much fun. But, you know, you have a lot
- 1:30:05Speaker 13: of questions with it because you hear blood clotting. And just,
- 1:30:07Speaker 13: I know in hockey, there's been a bunch of guys
- 1:30:09Speaker 13: that have been out for like extended periods of time
- 1:30:12Speaker 13: with blood clots.
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: And I remember talking to the doctor before I left.
- 1:30:15Speaker 13: So what can I do? You know, what are the, like,
- 1:30:17Speaker 13: I'm not playing a contact sport, but I've been somewhat
- 1:30:20Speaker 13: diligent for an old man in the elliptical machine and
- 1:30:24Speaker 13: just staying active in that regard. It just maintains my
- 1:30:26Speaker 13: current fatness doesn't help me, but at least it maintains it.
- 1:30:30Speaker 13: And I said, uh, You know, I said, and she says, no, you,
- 1:30:33Speaker 13: you know, you want, the motion is good. Like the
- 1:30:35Speaker 13: motion you need to get, you know, moving. And that's
- 1:30:38Speaker 13: why like on an airplane, she said, you know, it's
- 1:30:40Speaker 13: not good because you stay sedentary. And so the motion's good,
- 1:30:44Speaker 13: but you know, nothing contact. Like, cause I'm over joking.
- 1:30:48Speaker 13: I'm like, don't worry about that. I'm not playing football
- 1:30:51Speaker 13: or hockey or anything like that, or even basketball. But,
- 1:30:53Speaker 13: but those are the concerns. And especially early on when
- 1:30:57Speaker 13: you have one, because if it is, even if it's
- 1:30:58Speaker 13: superficial and it gets loose is how she explained it
- 1:31:00Speaker 13: to me.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: Is that can be a problem. Right.
- 1:31:03Speaker 13: Because it takes 90 days for the blood thinners to
- 1:31:06Speaker 13: really kind of do their job, is how it was
- 1:31:09Speaker 13: explained to me in the hospital. And then after that,
- 1:31:12Speaker 13: they kind of check you again and see if everything's good.
- 1:31:15Speaker 13: The fact that he went out and played, first of all,
- 1:31:17Speaker 13: didn't sleep, because that never was brought up when I
- 1:31:20Speaker 13: was talking to him. And then, but the fact that
- 1:31:24Speaker 13: he didn't sleep, but that also was was able to
- 1:31:27Speaker 13: go play a football game and then jump on a
- 1:31:28Speaker 13: plane afterwards is just mind-boggling.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: And not only that, it wasn't a short hop. It
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: was the longest trip that the Eagles will have all year,
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: seven and a half hours across the pond. Nothing about
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: it makes sense.
- 1:31:40Speaker 13: Except for, here's the thing, we live in an era,
- 1:31:43Speaker 13: and I like to believe that these teams care about
- 1:31:47Speaker 13: their players. I really do, and they say that all
- 1:31:49Speaker 13: the time. You know, CTE is such a big deal
- 1:31:52Speaker 13: right now, and I'm I'd probably fall on the wrong.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: Side of CTE.
- 1:31:56Speaker 13: I just think it's an inherent risk if you play
- 1:31:58Speaker 13: the sport that you have to know that it's going
- 1:32:00Speaker 13: to happen. There's a chance you can get paralyzed, hurt, concussions.
- 1:32:05Speaker 13: There's a lot of things, and now we know where else.
- 1:32:07Speaker 13: You've made that decision to play. That's a you thing.
- 1:32:10Speaker 13: That's not a team thing. But when you have something
- 1:32:12Speaker 13: that just comes up with an injury, don't tell me
- 1:32:16Speaker 13: that you really care if you're putting a guy out
- 1:32:18Speaker 13: there with that situation going on because you wanted to
- 1:32:21Speaker 13: win a football game.
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: That's all you cared about over a year. And even
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: if they say, Jalen Hurts, what do you think? That's
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: also irresponsible. You can't ever leave it up to the player.
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: If you leave it up to the player, the player 99%
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: of the time is going to play. Yeah.
- 1:32:36Speaker 13: I mean, there's those guys that don't. They'll just tap
- 1:32:38Speaker 13: out and go, I'll get paid. But most guys, you've
- 1:32:40Speaker 13: got to protect the athlete from the athlete. Especially in
- 1:32:42Speaker 13: the NFL.
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: Especially in the NFL. When you don't have your contract
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: guarantee for the length of the deal. Yeah.
- 1:32:46Speaker 13: I just think it's absolute malpractice on their part. But,
- 1:32:50Speaker 13: you know, thankfully he's okay. Thankfully nothing– Happened, right?
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:32:55Speaker 13: We have a different discussion today.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: So, yeah, it's no good.
- 1:32:58Speaker 13: Not a good thing at all.
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: Good times. So backup quarterback for Philadelphia in a division
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: where 3-2-1 leads the division. We were talking about this yesterday,
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: but wild card might not be a bad year to
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: be a wild card. As long as you're wild card
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: one or two. That's right.
- 1:33:16Speaker 13: Because you're going to play the north if you're number three.
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:33:20Speaker 13: But if you're wild card one or two, Carolina's going
- 1:33:22Speaker 13: to be a problem. I think Carolina might be a
- 1:33:24Speaker 13: little bit. I kind of, I was thinking the same
- 1:33:26Speaker 13: thing because I heard you guys talk about that.
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: Well, you're right.
- 1:33:28Speaker 13: Except if you don't want to play the North, well,
- 1:33:29Speaker 13: Carolina could be, you want to play the East.
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: Yeah. Because where that team is, it's going to be
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: hot garbage. Correct. The Cowboys at two and four are
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: still in it. You've covered league meetings. Are they ever
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: going to just start receding? It's just ridiculous. Well, they
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: really want to, they want, the television networks really want
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: the division matchups to matter and they backload the division
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: matchups to the end of the season and And they
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: play them twice each year. So they're trying to keep
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: the division races meaning something. And TV networks have all
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: kinds of clauses in their contracts to keep division games
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: with their networks. Fox and CBS have contract clauses that
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: say NFC divisional games have to be, at least one
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: of them have to be on their networks each year. So, yeah,
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: it's that. It's television. It's money. But it is the division.
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: They want to keep the division a matter. What do
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: you got today? Well, we're going to.
- 1:34:20Speaker 13: Check in with one-third of the quarterback controversies in the state,
- 1:34:23Speaker 13: Alex and MK at one. John Lund at two. I
- 1:34:27Speaker 13: listened a little bit to his show earlier this morning,
- 1:34:29Speaker 13: and he's just full of it as always.
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: He's riding high, 6-0-9. You know what?
- 1:34:34Speaker 13: I've got to actually defend Russell Wilson with him later.
- 1:34:37Speaker 2: Oh, God. I know. Wow. Tell me about it. I'm
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: not going to like that at all.
- 1:34:42Speaker 13: So we've got that coming up, Daily Power Play, and
- 1:34:44Speaker 13: I think the return of the opening statement today.
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: Really? Got something to say. I got something to say.
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: Like in five minutes. That is coming up next from
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: Ian Furness. So I will get the hell out of
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: the way so we can hear an opening statement from
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: the mayor.
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: State of the union.
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: Greg Bell, Jessamyn McIntyre. Thanks for listening. Thanks for all
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: the texts and suggestions on the pumpkin patches. I can
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: take my ensign daughter and grown son to on Saturday
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: or Sunday.
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: We'll do it again tomorrow. Ian's up next on 93.3
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: KJR FM.
