- 0:02My wallet is sobbing. I can hear it.
- 0:04I can hear it in the hall now. It is breaking down crying.
- 0:08It turns out that Attila the arrogant so and so he's got a
- 0:11fake hammer. Oh.
- 0:13A fake? Yeah.
- 0:14Whoa. As I say, Dick.
- 0:18Welcome to episode 155 of the Early Agents podcast.
- 0:21And this week we haven't a clue what we're going to talk about,
- 0:24what we're going to do it anyway because 50% of the battle is
- 0:29showing up. Isn't that right, guys?
- 0:31I thought knowing was half the battle.
- 0:35Ah, yeah, yeah, there's some. Other figures that are.
- 0:38In the process of bankrupting you, I'm not.
- 0:40Going to need. Those things so that this could
- 0:42be a shit show. Great swearing straight off the
- 0:47bat, that's good. Sorry sorry.
- 0:50I don't know if that counts as a swear, but I don't really count
- 0:52it, but I'm sure some people do. So I shall not be editing that
- 0:56one out. So you know, what can we do?
- 1:02Quick reminder, because I said this at the end of the show last
- 1:05time and you know, some people don't listen to the end of the
- 1:09show as you might expect, because we sometimes do go on
- 1:12for quite a while. And Paladin giveaway once we get
- 1:15to 500 subscribers, I'll put up a paladin that I have inbox new
- 1:20inbox for giveaway. So have it already.
- 1:23You don't need to wait for for the game pre-order or whatever.
- 1:27So and we'll find a way of giving that away probably on
- 1:29live stream. And if we get there quicker than
- 1:33later than it might even be on the live stream that we do for
- 1:39the end of the RPG, although that would be in the middle of
- 1:42the night in America time. So maybe that's not fair for.
- 1:45Give the Europeans more of a chance.
- 1:47Yeah, save on postage. Save on the.
- 1:51Post if you're European, you should really subscribe now, you
- 1:54know, and we have had a nice little bump in listeners and
- 1:58watchers over the last couple of weeks, which is, I don't know if
- 2:01it's because of the RPG or what it is or because of our
- 2:06thumbnails or our charming faces, but yeah.
- 2:09So get subscribed if you're listening and you know, you can
- 2:14always just subscribe and then just, you know, do what everyone
- 2:17else does anyway and go on to their home feed on YouTube and
- 2:19not even look at the subscription feed ever again.
- 2:22But you know, you've done us a solid in the meantime, right?
- 2:29How are you fellas then? Mal is overworked.
- 2:36I'm just. I was weighing Angleseeper a few
- 2:39nights and didn't sleep, slept but didn't sleep well any of the
- 2:42nights. So I absolutely scattered at the
- 2:44moment. So yeah, if I nod off at any
- 2:46point, nothing against you boys or the listeners.
- 2:50I guess it's a little bit of that not sleeping in your own
- 2:52bed, even though it's somewhere you are regularly, it's still
- 2:55not your bed, is it? It is.
- 2:56There's three different spare rooms there and the bed is shite
- 3:00in every single one of them. So yeah, it's just like.
- 3:06And you wonder why your back, your back goes.
- 3:10She started looking back and go, oh, it's a week after I go to
- 3:14Wales every time this happens. Plus the five hour drive, you
- 3:19know, Yes, the drive. Was was exciting this time to
- 3:23put him hardly. Oh boy, I.
- 3:25Was late leaving Bristol so obviously it's me.
- 3:28I was late so I didn't get that like 12:45 in the morning.
- 3:34Oh. Which is a bit of pain.
- 3:36So it hit midnight and I'm into North Wales now finally.
- 3:39And it's like, OK, not long ago. And then it started hailing and
- 3:44it was like, OK, I have some podcasts off, but that's fine.
- 3:47And then it stopped. And then it went biblical hail.
- 3:50And I do mean biblical hail. Well, it's been four or five
- 3:53inches deep of hail on the dual carriageway.
- 3:56So the two lane highway for the Americans and the car in front
- 4:00of me suddenly veered towards the hard shoulder in the middle
- 4:06central reservation. Sorry, because it's were, you
- 4:10know, it's skidded on the hail and then autocorrect this
- 4:13skidded back cross into the inside lane and just about kept
- 4:16himself level. Well, and it's like, oh, because
- 4:19it was that bad and it was still hammering it down.
- 4:22It's like, OK, this is not good. And then about half mile further
- 4:25up the road, there's a car on the other side of the road
- 4:27facing the wrong way that spun off and just crashed into the
- 4:31into the side, into the, you know, the mud and the wood on
- 4:35the side. And then about 200 yards past
- 4:37that, there's a car on my side of the road which had also spun
- 4:39and hit the side and was horizontal across one of the two
- 4:42lanes. Did you Zoe in then?
- 4:46Somebody else had stopped, so I just carried on.
- 4:48I slowed right down and just carried on things.
- 4:50So yeah. But yeah, it was, it was an
- 4:53interesting 5 minutes, that one. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:55You know, you see two crashed cars, both sides of the road
- 4:58that close to each other. You're like, yeah, it's just
- 5:00quite bad. At least it's a it's a reminder,
- 5:03as I say, to to slow down and just take along.
- 5:07Yeah. Yes, all.
- 5:09The ironic thing is I'm 99% so I got caught by a speed camera on
- 5:12the way back yesterday. So you're in the UK?
- 5:15There's. A 99% possibility you got caught
- 5:19by a speed camera just by driving in the UK, let's be
- 5:22honest. There's a lot of them here,
- 5:23yeah. And yeah, well, I'm getting my
- 5:27my winter tyres off this week, so I'm hoping that the weather
- 5:31doesn't take a turn like that over the next couple of days.
- 5:33Yeah, well, I mean, luckily we'd actually had new tyres put on
- 5:36the day before, new front tyres sort of thing.
- 5:40It's front wheel drive car so that probably helped.
- 5:42Yeah, that definitely helped. So not nothing as exciting as
- 5:47that mouth, clearly. No, no, absolutely not.
- 5:51Just busy, you know, working whatever else going on.
- 5:59Not all bad sounds, very suspicious mouth but OK.
- 6:02No, no, just like. I got, I had a life event this
- 6:08week. I got reading glasses for the
- 6:09first time. Oh, hello.
- 6:12Yeah, I mean, I didn't, I didn't really, Yeah, I didn't really
- 6:17like, she said. I didn't really have to get them
- 6:19if I didn't want to. But yeah, I had noticed slight
- 6:22blurring, like I could still read the screen here, but I have
- 6:25to try harder, Yeah, You know, so it's just plus one, so not
- 6:30even I think .75 maybe, Yeah, so.
- 6:34Yeah, I know. My wife was the same a couple of
- 6:36years ago. She was just like, I'm gonna
- 6:37have to get these checked. It was just everything, just a
- 6:39bit of a struggle to see stuff. And she came back.
- 6:42She's like God damn it, I need got a reading glass.
- 6:46I have probably go and get. My yeah, I have noticed for the
- 6:49customising as well. It's better, you know, I mean, I
- 6:52paint a good bit with the magnifying glass, but when
- 6:54you're, when you're not, you know, maybe you don't need to
- 6:58wear that all the time because it's not the easiest on the eyes
- 7:01to have like 2 1/2 times magnification or whatever, 2
- 7:04times magnification, sometimes right in front of your eyes.
- 7:08That doesn't help with them getting less strange, shall we
- 7:12say? And yeah, just the normal
- 7:15glasses then for painting, you know, the bigger details.
- 7:18Pretty easy then. So.
- 7:20Yeah. But I'm quite messy, so I'm
- 7:22afraid of getting paint on them. That would be Maybe they just
- 7:26look cool then, you know, There you go.
- 7:29Well, they look cool anyway. Of course, because people with
- 7:31glasses are cool now. That's what I'm saying now,
- 7:34Rich. Yeah.
- 7:34Just to be clear. Absolutely.
- 7:35You're now you're now really cool in my book there.
- 7:38You go. I've even got 2 pairs, so I've
- 7:41got my using the screen pair and then my distance pair here as
- 7:43well. Yeah.
- 7:47Yeah, I do find that annoying because I think I'd rather just
- 7:50leave them on, you know, and have be able to just use them
- 7:55for everything. But you know, taking them on and
- 7:57off is a bit. It's a pain but I I tried very
- 8:00vocals about 3 years ago now and they just make me feel ill.
- 8:03Yeah. It's just like, that's just
- 8:05weird that you've got different things, but if you're looking
- 8:07down or things like that. But you know, if you're watching
- 8:11that, you know, sports or something and you'd be scrolling
- 8:12on your phone. Of course, you can't do the two
- 8:15unless you're like, unless I'm like here at the laptop.
- 8:18Maybe it will work. But if I'm in the sitting room,
- 8:20like on the couch, the TV is too far away for the glasses to to
- 8:24actually work. You know, that far away.
- 8:28So anyway, so rather than continue to borrow the shite out
- 8:33of people, my glasses. Which is Welcome to the
- 8:37middle-aged man podcast. Yeah, next week haemorrhoids.
- 8:40Well. We were, we were talking today
- 8:44about whether we had booked flights for Allegiance Con and
- 8:48we haven't yet obviously. And I think the, the I looked at
- 8:52the emails last year, the hotel stuff came out in April.
- 8:55So that was when I booked my flight last year.
- 8:58But yeah, with everything that's going on in the world, it's kind
- 9:03of I'm, I'm genuinely, I think at this moment 5050 on the whole
- 9:07thing. Let's be honest now it's far
- 9:10away out. If it was tomorrow, I'd maybe,
- 9:12you know, I'd more likely still go.
- 9:14But I'd say from this far out 5050, just because of
- 9:20travelling, you know? Yeah.
- 9:23Do you really have to? It's difficult.
- 9:25To know at the moment, isn't it? The world feels up in the air,
- 9:29so to speak, a little. You know, yeah.
- 9:33Whereas like if, if my relative was sick back in Ireland at
- 9:37100%, travel wouldn't even question it or whatever, or, or
- 9:41in America, wouldn't even question it.
- 9:42But you know, just for my own pleasure travelling.
- 9:46Yeah. Yeah, maybe, you know, at the
- 9:49moment doesn't feel like a fun thing to do, you know?
- 9:53Yeah, yeah, I'm 90% going, but it's there's, you know, it
- 9:56should be 100%, it shouldn't be an issue.
- 9:57And there's that. There's that element of doubt
- 10:00and you're like. OK, no, maybe I'm being an idiot
- 10:03about it. You know, maybe I'm just too
- 10:04comfortable in my own bubble. And there there could be an
- 10:08element of that. And maybe it's just coming out
- 10:11the winter you're just feeling annoyed with, with having to
- 10:15have gone through four months of like being inside a lot and not
- 10:20being able to do much. Maybe there's an element to
- 10:23that, to it. But yeah, I don't know.
- 10:25It's just, it just doesn't feel. The optimism of coming out of
- 10:30winter, it feels like we every few days we're back in it.
- 10:33It was sunny today, Mal. You know, I'm I'm pretty short
- 10:36term focus to there. We go we we had we had a new
- 10:40little fire pit arrived in the back garden earlier too, so get
- 10:43outside now, even if it's a bit colder and you.
- 10:46Know you will enjoy the fire pit whether you want to or not.
- 10:50Raining, Snowing into the fire pit.
- 10:56But yeah, it's like you were worried about the price of
- 10:59flights going up, which I wonder if it'll go the other way, even
- 11:02though, for example, oil and fuel I suppose is going up, at
- 11:06least in this part of the world and flying that less people
- 11:11might be inclined to travel. I don't know.
- 11:13It is tricky, I've read a few websites now and they all have
- 11:16slightly different takes on it sort of thing, but certainly
- 11:20looking at United and the problem is I don't regularly
- 11:23check them so I don't know, it might be a pattern of up and
- 11:25down, up and down. But it's gone up £60 since last
- 11:28week. Yeah.
- 11:29Now that might just be a case of they try their luck this time of
- 11:32year, good people are coming out of winter, they might be
- 11:34happier, they might spend money on the holiday sort of thing
- 11:36because I normally, it's normally June ish time that I
- 11:38book. Yeah.
- 11:39So it's the whole thing of well, do I pay £150 more than I
- 11:42normally do and get a ticket now just in case it goes through the
- 11:46roof, or do I just hold my horses?
- 11:48Hope everything dies down and you get your normal sort of
- 11:51price. Me would be more locking it in
- 11:55now when I'm, you know, when I'm still feeling a little queasy
- 11:58about it. Is maybe the thing £60?
- 12:01OK, that sucks if you end up having to pay, you know, even a
- 12:05hundred £6000 more. But what I'd be worried was it
- 12:09went up to 1000, you know, or you know, from this 500 and went
- 12:14up to 1000. Then of course, that's a real
- 12:16question. I think up to £100 here, there,
- 12:20you know, you know, can just say whatever, you know.
- 12:23That's almost the exchange rate isn't it sometimes.
- 12:26For me here, everybody, if I book it and pay more now John's
- 12:28promise to reimburse me the difference there we there we go.
- 12:32For me, I don't normally book until after we book the hotel,
- 12:37so I'm just going to stick with the usual.
- 12:40If it goes up by so much, it's then.
- 12:42It's not meant to be, is it? You know, it's clearly saying do
- 12:46not, do not do this. So yeah, we'll see.
- 12:50Yeah, I mean the flight is the thing you have to lock in.
- 12:52I suppose the hotel will book and that's always cancel blow up
- 12:58to the week before kind of thing, isn't it?
- 13:00You can get. Cancellable flights you just pay
- 13:02a little bit more for. Yeah.
- 13:03It's maybe 200, two £100 extra on top of whatever you're
- 13:06paying. Yeah, I don't think I'm there.
- 13:08I don't think I'm at that point yet either.
- 13:10So, you know, maybe I'm not quite 5050 then.
- 13:13Isn't it sad that the we've numbers have this conversation?
- 13:16Yeah, but I mean, just say abroad, I wouldn't bring it up
- 13:19just for the sake of being dramatic.
- 13:21It's just, I guess some other people might be feeling the
- 13:24same, but I feel a bit like I do.
- 13:27I sound like a total weakling if I talk about this and the groups
- 13:32are with my friends. So I'll just like, I don't know,
- 13:36balls it out or, you know, play it cool.
- 13:40But I think it's worth having the discussion.
- 13:42You know, it's not, it's not to say what you know, it's not to
- 13:46have an opinion on what's going on.
- 13:47It's more just, you know, whatever is all the stuff that's
- 13:51going on in the world, which we don't need to talk about in this
- 13:54podcast, is, is having an effect on everything else.
- 13:58You know, and then it's that effect that that makes people
- 14:01feel, you know, one way or another, you know, less likely
- 14:05travel. Are you going to feel less
- 14:07welcome or, you know, is is there going to be an air of
- 14:10tension? The the big elections in America
- 14:13are just the time when. Yeah, midterms.
- 14:20So I don't think we'd see the effect of that at all.
- 14:23But you know, what if I don't know, what if there's loads of
- 14:28protests afterwards and then, you know, the airport gets
- 14:31blocked up or whatever it might be, you know?
- 14:35Hey you never know, maybe AI will take over and will be wiped
- 14:38out before then. The robot.
- 14:40Overlords will take over, so it's like you know.
- 14:43That's it. Maybe that would be for the
- 14:44best, yeah. Connor will show up and he's the
- 14:52guy who comes back from the future.
- 14:54Kyle Reese. Kyle Reese.
- 14:55That's it. Yeah, like the guy in the Cabal
- 14:58today with his dwarf AI movie. I didn't say that I've barely
- 15:04been on Facebook. Even though, well, apparently he
- 15:06works in the movies and it's all going to AI anyway now so we
- 15:09shouldn't be feeling bad about about.
- 15:11That, as someone said, it's like a Turkey, voting for Christmas,
- 15:14embracing it, if you work in that sort of environment, yeah.
- 15:20I think I think it's more it's soulless.
- 15:23I think. Yeah, he's he's kind of claiming
- 15:25that, oh, it's just, you know, a concept for a film.
- 15:27We like, we'd still make this, but all the film concepts are
- 15:30going to AI. But that's just one more step
- 15:33for, you know, some executive to say, you know, do we need to pay
- 15:38these actors then? Do we need to whatever, pay the
- 15:43guys to build the sets And you know, suddenly you've got.
- 15:46Yeah. You know you've got all that.
- 15:49I think so. There's not.
- 15:50That just rips the soul out of it, doesn't it?
- 15:52You know. Yeah, I think there's an
- 15:53argument that it's a very useful tool in the hands of people who
- 15:56are already know what they're doing and understand what
- 15:59they're doing and and the choices and the decisions that
- 16:02behind what they're doing. But the money men and the
- 16:07managers, because it's not just that industry, it's other
- 16:10industries actually their goal is to save money and do it.
- 16:15And if do it the cheap cheapest because it's not realist
- 16:19actually real terms cheaper the cheapest way possible.
- 16:23And unfortunately that doesn't take into account something
- 16:26being done well a lot of the time.
- 16:28So I mean. The only good thing about that
- 16:31dwarf thing was it showed the AI can't do a better Scottish
- 16:34accent than me. It was.
- 16:36The first accent, yeah, was terrible, yeah.
- 16:39It's like, yeah, that's fine. AI can't do anything better than
- 16:42you rich. Oh, thank you, Mal.
- 16:44Yeah, especially stick man drawings do.
- 16:47You know what I mean? I'd like to see it match that
- 16:50level. Of it's just there wouldn't be
- 16:51as much love. And even with the thumbnails for
- 16:57the for the show, you know, sometimes they, oh, I could, I
- 17:00could ask AI to do it. And I've tried a few times and
- 17:03maybe it's me, maybe it's it's, I'm not able to use it properly,
- 17:07but it always ends up being crap, more crap than I would do
- 17:10and and not saving me time. So in the end, I'm just kind of
- 17:14call it and go, OK, you know what?
- 17:18I'm going to just do it myself. I I asked, I asked AI because
- 17:22we're being encouraged to use AI at work, as you can imagine.
- 17:25But again, you know, as a tool. Well, yeah, but.
- 17:27You're trying. They're trying to replace you.
- 17:29You know so. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:31Umm. Train it up now train up that
- 17:33AI. But please.
- 17:35I asked it how to do a like a configuration file for something
- 17:38delivered. It wouldn't work at all.
- 17:40So I did the old go to of what I've always done, went and
- 17:44watched some a video of someone doing it on YouTube.
- 17:46And guess what? That was how I ended up working
- 17:49it out. Not with AI telling me what it
- 17:52should do, how it should be done.
- 17:54So there you go. That's how good AI is, yeah.
- 17:58That's terrible. A lot of things, or some things
- 18:01anyway, but yeah. What did I send you that video
- 18:07the other day from it was ABBC interview where the the is it
- 18:13Hannah Fry? She's talking to the Indian guy
- 18:17about yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah about these, these AI bots, but
- 18:23not not the ones that like, you know, do the the chat box stuff,
- 18:28but the ones that are just basically doing their own
- 18:33thinking and coming up with their own stuff and.
- 18:35The terms. Yeah, they just go off and just.
- 18:37They're chatting about. Yeah, yeah, they're chatting
- 18:41about how to do fraud, you know, how to do fraud properly and all
- 18:46this kind of stuff and how to get away with murder.
- 18:49It's frightening, completely scary.
- 18:51You know they. Come across as having a life of
- 18:52their own. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:55That's it. It's agents and versus the one
- 18:58that people are using to do their work and that language,
- 19:01large language language models. That's right.
- 19:03Yeah, I think that's still a lot of people into a false sense of
- 19:06security. You know, it's like it just does
- 19:08what they tell us. Yeah, when we were in recruiting
- 19:14in the last year or so, the amount of AI filled completed
- 19:17application forms we get, it's just ridiculous.
- 19:19You read them and you're like, that's the same exact wording as
- 19:22this other person used and you're like, that's because this
- 19:24is all just total nonsense that the computers done for them.
- 19:28Well, 40% improvement seems to be a thing it.
- 19:32Really does, yeah. Every everyone, whatever they
- 19:36did improved outcome by 40%. It was actually 35% with my
- 19:43almost been six different ones I read all had 35% in this and
- 19:46then they said 35% in something else.
- 19:48I'm like watch randomly. It's the same percentage change
- 19:51in every single thing you look at, OK?
- 19:54Bring them into Vin for an into you.
- 19:55You are Mr 35 and they look Yeah.
- 19:59And you just go down through the CV and then RIP it up and go
- 20:02right out the door, put it in front of them.
- 20:04On the table and you smack a table like a bad pop moment and
- 20:07just go tell me which bot wrote this?
- 20:09Which bot wrote it? Yeah, absolutely.
- 20:17And, you know, just teach them a lesson and say come at least the
- 20:21next time change the figures, you know, into random numbers,
- 20:25you know, but that's part of the training the next time they are.
- 20:28But we'll just put in random numbers for them, you know,
- 20:35radio. Anything else from you guys know
- 20:37what's coming up in the next week or two?
- 20:40Nothing. Or get to try a new office chair
- 20:44out. That's very exciting.
- 20:47Yeah. We're, we're moving offices at
- 20:49the start of next year, January next year.
- 20:52We meant to, meant to moved offices about 3 years ago.
- 20:55It's, you know, typical British government, it's taking forever.
- 20:58But they people like me who have like a special chair, so like
- 21:02some facts, support and all this sort of stuff, they don't want
- 21:05to take those with us. So they're like, Oh no, we've
- 21:07got these super duper new chairs in the new place.
- 21:09Now that will will work no matter what your back issue is,
- 21:11whatever height you are and this sort of stuff.
- 21:13So yeah, so each of us get to trial on for a day.
- 21:15So yeah, yeah, time I will have this fancy chair.
- 21:20I said I was saying to everybody, workers like nobody
- 21:22get jealous now that I'm trialling out this new exciting
- 21:24chair. So yeah, this is what my life is
- 21:27now. I get to try a new chair, right?
- 21:29That on a similar vein. Getting old kids.
- 21:32So that made me chuckle is we we decided to get drip fed our, you
- 21:37know, yearly training, one of which is your display screen
- 21:40equipment training. So, you know, working from home
- 21:43and you've got to talk about you where your monitor is and where
- 21:46your laptop eye level is and all this sort of thing.
- 21:49And it's telling you what you should have at home in your home
- 21:51setup. And I'm laughing away because my
- 21:54home setup is, you know, with all this in mind, because it is
- 21:58good for you, is much better than my office setup, which is
- 22:01designed for everyone and as a result can't actually be
- 22:06adjusted to everything that you need it to be adjusted to.
- 22:09So I spend my life like this at work because my laptop has to
- 22:12sit up here somewhere. So I was in bits doing this,
- 22:16training past it, obviously, because, you know, of course,
- 22:19yeah. Yeah.
- 22:23Yeah. Easter break is coming up.
- 22:26That's good. So yeah, the kids.
- 22:28Have two weeks off. My wife has two weeks off so.
- 22:32Nice, yeah, I've got, I've got a week's holiday so back up to
- 22:36back up to North Wales, so some shitty sleep for a week so.
- 22:39OK, good. Oh, we'd have to figure out the
- 22:42podcast that week then. Yes.
- 22:46Wait for Maybe you can try and do it from your phone.
- 22:48Does that would that work I. Can give it a GET.
- 22:50This you can get the stream aired up.
- 22:52Absolutely. Yeah, we can have some.
- 22:56We can have some guests anyway just in case it doesn't work out
- 23:00or and then if if it does work out, they'll enhance the show in
- 23:04their own way. Yeah, but who they are, and
- 23:06obviously they'll never look up to me, but apartment?
- 23:11I see retailer St Datas today, the 18th.
- 23:14Of course, she's recording. Yeah.
- 23:16Any news, Rich? Important recall sent an e-mail
- 23:20out couple of two or three weeks ago saying that they're not
- 23:24going to have their stock and clear into March because it
- 23:27hadn't even left China at a certain point sort of thing.
- 23:30Oh, they're getting end. Of March before we get it so you
- 23:34have to wait like cool there we. Go and pay extra.
- 23:37Great. Yeah.
- 23:38Thanks guys. Wasn't too bad at that point to
- 23:42be fair. They've gotten worse I think,
- 23:45price wise. Yeah.
- 23:47No, actually I haven't heard. Maybe it's the same shipment
- 23:51then. I haven't heard anything from my
- 23:52retailers with the extras or the retailer wave so.
- 23:55Somebody did say that about, yeah, one of the German, I can't
- 23:58remember which one it was, one of the German retailers said the
- 24:00retailer Wave and the Rising Suns will be lit, end of.
- 24:03March as well as well, so yeah. I did my stuff that I
- 24:09pre-ordered from Big Bad. I did get notification of
- 24:12payment for that. So that's a chunk of money going
- 24:15out. That was Retailer Wave and
- 24:17extras for Rising Suns all coming out.
- 24:22It's like, yeah. That's the one positive with the
- 24:27important stuff. At least I paid that off, yes,
- 24:29but I've got the retailer wave come in.
- 24:32That's from a German retailer. It's going to John to forward
- 24:35on. Thank you, John.
- 24:37I also have three lots of the Dwarf 2 pack coming from a
- 24:39German retailer. I didn't mention it, John, but
- 24:41thank you very much for accepting those on my behalf as
- 24:43well. That's very kind of you.
- 24:44OK, no problem. They're pretty packaging all
- 24:47together that just shouldn't be 1.
- 24:50Box They're just going to take out the the horn the the dwarf
- 24:54drinking horn accessory in each of them.
- 24:57That seems fair enough. That's a fair price and go with
- 24:59that. No, you can't be without that.
- 25:01It's the best accessory in it. Cool accessories.
- 25:06Yeah, I I did notice on this kick track the the Kickstarter
- 25:11tracker for the thing It was it was in the minus today.
- 25:15So people were take like cancelling pledges and I'm
- 25:18guessing it's some of those big bad toy store invoice people.
- 25:21I. Suspect.
- 25:22Yeah, that would make sense, yeah.
- 25:24Yeah, when things start to land all the same time, it's never,
- 25:29it's never good. And I guess it's often this time
- 25:32of the year after Chinese New Year or just things ship just
- 25:37before Chinese New Year, you know, trying to get them out the
- 25:39door and then they arrive over around this time.
- 25:43And then also what now? It's also some people, it's
- 25:47going to be taxes time as well, isn't it, I mean.
- 25:49But that means more money generally so.
- 25:51Depends. Yeah, what they do.
- 25:53Yeah, it depends. Or maybe, yeah, some people
- 25:55might have to pay. They've been bold or earning too
- 25:58much money. How dare they?
- 26:01How dare they? Earn too much money.
- 26:03The joys. Or get falsely accused by eBay.
- 26:06Isn't it right, Rich? Yes, by HMRC on eBay.
- 26:10Yes, bless him. Or I'll be fine on behalf of
- 26:14your eBay. I'll be fine, but it's just a
- 26:16fat story. I mean, it's just.
- 26:18Like nobody likes that hassle. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:22Yes, I'd I sent them a picture in my display room.
- 26:25Look, really, I just like figures.
- 26:28Yeah, that's quite funny that that's what you had to do.
- 26:31You know, clearly not selling them, am I?
- 26:34Yeah. Just send them a link to this.
- 26:36I'm literally not a link to this.
- 26:37On me just by taking them out-of-the-box.
- 26:39Send them a link to this podcast.
- 26:41Yeah, yeah, I. Don't want to bore them, Won't
- 26:43stay. Awake.
- 26:46What are you saying about our listeners?
- 26:51I sincerely apologise, listeners, for what you have to
- 26:53go through this thus far this week.
- 26:55But you know, we're delivering, we need to delivering bonus
- 27:00episodes for our patrons as well.
- 27:01So we'd have to come up with some stuff when.
- 27:03You get back on the riches randoms thing as well actually.
- 27:04John as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 27:07I want to come up with a few, a few others as well, but I don't
- 27:12know, I'm just not feeling inspired at the moment.
- 27:14I don't know what it is. Well, as you said, it's, it's
- 27:17just that coming out of winter sort of time of year, isn't it?
- 27:19Basically, as Miles said, you know, lovely sunny day today and
- 27:22they're probably like 15° colder tomorrow and raining and it's
- 27:25just like. Yeah.
- 27:28You kind of think you've got your life back and then.
- 27:30Oh, no, yeah. Next weekend.
- 27:35I saw our friends in Michigan had snow again this week, but
- 27:40like buckets of it and -7 or something degrees centigrade.
- 27:47That's awful, isn't it? I mean, some people love that,
- 27:50but I think middle of March, that's a bit much, no?
- 27:53Unless you live in Canada, but then even then I'm sure that
- 27:56Canadians think it's a bit much. The older I get, the more I just
- 28:00want to move somewhere that's warm and dry all year round.
- 28:02I don't need seasons, I just want warm and dry.
- 28:07Yeah, A. Few years ago and it was a few
- 28:09years ago Alex Hollywood and then up in the north of Scotland
- 28:14they it was in March, they had 27 or something like that
- 28:18degrees for a couple of days might be in 2425 and then a week
- 28:24later they had like 2 years now it was just like this is just
- 28:27ridiculous. Which I was before I had kids.
- 28:34Used to go on the odd golf trip and we went one year to
- 28:37Casablanca in Morocco, which is near enough the equator.
- 28:41The there's a nice, it was a nice little resort there that
- 28:44the lads found and it was kind of all self-contained so it was
- 28:48perfect. You could go for like 4 days and
- 28:51basically eat, drink and play your golf and all you see is
- 28:56that in the airport. A bit like legions gone except
- 28:57for golf, you know. But the guys, you know, the guys
- 29:03there were saying, so we still was gone January because there's
- 29:05a perfect time to go because weather there was always good.
- 29:09And they said, yeah, it's always like mid 20s here and it always
- 29:13gets dark between 6:00 and 7:00 in the evening all year round
- 29:16because it's so close to the equator.
- 29:19But yeah. And it's hardly ever the odd
- 29:21time they'll get a bit of rain and stuff.
- 29:23Obviously they'd but in general it's and it never gets too warm
- 29:28either because of where they are.
- 29:29They're near the coast and wherever they are.
- 29:33So apart from, you know, we were staying in the in the hotel, but
- 29:39like their areas around were not great.
- 29:41So that's the only problem with some of those type of places for
- 29:45the weather is perfect. They're there mightn't be the
- 29:49best places to actually live. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:52In terms of what you might be used to as a standard of living.
- 29:55So yeah, yeah. Don't you get high speed
- 29:59Internet, for example? Maybe that's for the best.
- 30:08Well, you know, they thought they had that in Dubai.
- 30:10This is true. Yeah.
- 30:15So this is how things can change.
- 30:17And yeah, indeed, Kickstarter, just a quick check in there
- 30:22874,000 I checked last. I didn't do the graphs this week
- 30:27because it was it was too depressing when it wasn't really
- 30:30depressing was just nothing is happening because it's that
- 30:33middle. It's what you expect, isn't it?
- 30:34At this point, yeah. It's on the slope.
- 30:38Yeah, it was 840, so it's about 3033 thousand or something this
- 30:45week comments. What's, what are people talking
- 30:50about? People are saying about the
- 30:53momentum, but I think I don't think forests are worried at
- 30:57this point because it's done so well so far.
- 31:02And I'm sure they'll be doing a big push for the final week.
- 31:07So I think that's where it's going to sit right now.
- 31:11I'd be really intrigued to see how they're doing in terms of
- 31:14new people. I don't obviously I'll never
- 31:16tell us about how they did in terms of new people just coming
- 31:19in for the game and whether it is still just massively driven
- 31:24by the figures or whether they have been able to.
- 31:26I mean, hopefully they've been able to reach out to the gaming
- 31:29communities and that sort of thing and got a good influx from
- 31:31there. Yeah.
- 31:33I mean, like if someone comes in and just backs the game, you
- 31:38know, they're not spending much more than 100, if even that.
- 31:42Whereas the crazy figure people, it's kind of minimum 3400 to get
- 31:49the all the figures. So, you know, that's the
- 31:52difference so that it would wouldn't go up that quickly if
- 31:56there was extra game people in, but it would be cool to get
- 32:00those people on board. I think for for for getting the
- 32:03game out there and played. And because I think that's going
- 32:07to be important. Next bit is actually people
- 32:10playing the game because a lot of people now the figure people
- 32:15will have ordered the all in box or, you know, the whatever other
- 32:20deals with the word where it comes with the core game and
- 32:23then maybe take out the minis or take out the standees and the
- 32:29dice and the map and that's it. And never actually play the
- 32:32game. So, you know, yeah, to get the
- 32:39game going. So we'll try and as I said,
- 32:44we'll try and have a game. I'm completely clueless on that,
- 32:49but willing to learn. But I don't think I'm nerdy
- 32:52enough to run to be the one running the game, because I
- 32:55think that's the one, the person that needs to be super nerdy.
- 32:59Yeah, no, yeah, I think there's a bit of thinking.
- 33:02I mean in a good way. Now like well and somebody
- 33:05experienced and done it before we as he played those sorts of
- 33:08games preferably before as well. Yeah, they had a Kickstarter
- 33:12update this week about the faction rank system in the game,
- 33:16and I was reading that. It's cool but like halfway
- 33:19through those like wow I'm not nerdy enough for this.
- 33:24No, no, Norman. You know, you know whoa.
- 33:30Yeah, so nerdy. Oh God yeah, nerds.
- 33:33I am way too square and vanilla and plain with this.
- 33:37You know, I realise the reason I'm on a podcast is because I
- 33:42know how to do the techie bit, not the nerdy bit.
- 33:49So yeah. So any you guys that nerdy?
- 33:53I was when I was younger, so I think Urgent Hero Quest before
- 33:57it was like the board game and I used to be the Dungeon Master
- 34:00equivalent in that sort of thing, but it wasn't as advanced
- 34:03as this, you know, you weren't doing the voices and all this
- 34:05sort of stuff. So technically yes, but I'm not.
- 34:07I think I'm probably too lazy to do that now as well.
- 34:10Yeah, there's an element of that, Yeah, when I read it.
- 34:12For sure, I've done a little bit of DM ING I don't know, OK.
- 34:16Yeah, I feel like you'd be the the the more likely of a smell
- 34:20to, to have that ability. Yeah, to throw yourself into it.
- 34:25I do voices as well. Shock horror.
- 34:28We've done the readings. I mean, I'm definitely willing
- 34:30to throw myself into a voice. Yeah, You know, I'm old enough
- 34:34to make an idiot in myself, that's for sure.
- 34:37You know, Or think that I make an idiot in myself, you know?
- 34:41When I, yeah, I mean, Jeremy talked about it on one of his
- 34:43shows. When I played DND with my mates,
- 34:46it was, you know, none of this more modern way of doing it, of
- 34:50the, of a map with, you know, your minis.
- 34:53It was all up here. And, you know, theatre of the
- 34:56mind Jeremy called it, which that was a good, good way of
- 34:59describing it. And so, yeah.
- 35:02I mean, that's you have to probably the most accessible way
- 35:05to do it anyway, you know, because.
- 35:06Yeah, yeah, that'd be how I did it.
- 35:08Now, I think just because it's cheaper as well than having to
- 35:12buy terrain and minis and you know and all that.
- 35:15I know we're getting a lot of maps.
- 35:17And we have the figure still as well, you know, So yeah, you can
- 35:20build your own figure. So yeah.
- 35:22Which is a fun thing. Shall we look at the minis?
- 35:27Because that was we were given more updated scopes of those
- 35:32this week. So given this picture here first
- 35:37to introduce them. So we got a bunch of pictures of
- 35:42the renders. So I've got I've got them here 1
- 35:44by 1 as well. Got the dwarf and the clear.
- 35:49What's what's she again? Mage The Mage Paladin.
- 35:53And she had Druid. Druid.
- 35:56Sorry, Druid. Yeah.
- 35:58Isn't it? Yeah.
- 35:58Yeah, yeah. Which is what that is, yeah.
- 36:01Yeah, the other female here, she's the wizard, another one of
- 36:08the Knights, I guess the paladin one is to Yeah, that this night
- 36:13is just a it looks like a normal horse.
- 36:15In the old school ones, doesn't it more like say so ignatious or
- 36:19somebody like that? Yeah, and.
- 36:24There a way? Frontier the the skeleton and
- 36:27the orc here. So these are being sculpted by
- 36:31Carlos Amari. OK.
- 36:34And so this came by way of an artist feature through the
- 36:37updates. So he's worked on a bunch of
- 36:41games before, miniatures for games.
- 36:44So stuff like A Song of Ice of Fire by Seamon.
- 36:49So Seamon is a big gaming producer.
- 36:53They do a lot of kick starters for their games.
- 36:55So yeah, Conan he's done as well.
- 37:00Orc Quest to name but a few, so. Lily knows his stuff then.
- 37:09Yeah, exactly. And he's got his own.
- 37:13He's got his own Warthog work workshop where he's creating 3D
- 37:17printable STL files and developing board games.
- 37:20So seems to be a bit of a freelance guy and he's an avid
- 37:24action figure collector, so he must be very happy.
- 37:28He's excited to work on this project which combines a bit of
- 37:33everything. So let's have a look at more
- 37:35detail. Orc there.
- 37:38He looked very cool. I mean, they're very.
- 37:40Well detailed too. Yeah, yeah, that's the one thing
- 37:43I'm I'm not sure. I mean, I'm sure they've said
- 37:45before they were going to be 28 mil medias, but they almost look
- 37:49like they could be heroic scale, which is what the old Games
- 37:52Workshop and they probably still are so slightly oversized.
- 37:57You know, they're not they're not built like normal human
- 38:01proportions. They've got slightly bigger
- 38:03muscles or slight. They almost look like they might
- 38:05be that, but I'm sure they said they were going to be 28 mil.
- 38:09Maybe they didn't. Maybe they did say they'd be
- 38:11heroic. I don't know.
- 38:13No, I mean. I presume they'll leave whatever
- 38:14whatever the main DND was sizes so that people can mix and match
- 38:19that was thought. Yeah, which is I think 28 mil.
- 38:23But I think this, there's obviously a way of sculpting
- 38:25them, that you can still have a lot of detail.
- 38:27And when you produce them at the 28, you might see all the
- 38:31detail, but it's there and it doesn't look out of place, you
- 38:35know? Yeah, yeah.
- 38:37And I remember Cameron talking about that.
- 38:40Some of the things have to be exaggerated, like the weapons
- 38:43you have to make bigger, because otherwise they look like little
- 38:46matchsticks in the hands of the figures if you put them in the
- 38:49right proportion, just the way it works at this scale.
- 38:53So we'd see a few of those things here.
- 38:56Here is the Druid lady. You can see like the the ropes
- 39:02on her tunic, they're much thicker and bigger than than
- 39:07actually they are. The belt as well looks a bit
- 39:10bigger than it would normally be, but I think that that just
- 39:15works at that scale. It's very cool.
- 39:17Very. Cool, the way the the bird is on
- 39:20the arm looks really great. Yeah, and he's got his rings
- 39:23open and like the. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 39:26And more to paint there than as well if you were painting these.
- 39:32I thought suddenly as well, actually we talked about 28 mil.
- 39:34That's going to be nothing to our American listeners.
- 39:37That's 28 millimetres, guys, just over an inch tall.
- 39:41Or the way you, the way you list things, probably an eighth of a
- 39:44chopped up hot dog, something like that.
- 39:48It's that, yeah. I think, I think, I think when
- 39:50it comes to miniature sizes, it's universal.
- 39:53So anyone who knows miniatures or no, I think yeah.
- 39:57But we're watching ER and on the doctor talk is in centimetres
- 40:02and millimetres and stuff and and litres and and.
- 40:08Millilitres. So you know, I think it's just
- 40:13more accurate, isn't it? And when you're in a medical
- 40:16setting, you need to be accurate and the dwarf.
- 40:20So good. He looks so beefy.
- 40:23Yeah, yeah, yeah. Even the the rivets here are
- 40:27definitely bigger than than in scale, but that works perfectly.
- 40:33Look at the hammer. Awesome.
- 40:37Really. Yeah, can't wait to attend to
- 40:41paint these. And these make me think I'm like
- 40:434. Times set.
- 40:44Yeah, the set set is only $5. Yeah, yeah, for the unpainted.
- 40:52Like, well, that's it, isn't it? It's like get the get the get
- 40:54what get set so they're they stay unpainted and then it's set
- 40:59to paint. Oh, you're crazy now if you just
- 41:01keep the Oscar. And say mile.
- 41:05So, Adam, at $5, I would say fill your boots.
- 41:08That's not like that's not the worst, you know, getting an
- 41:10extra figure obscure to keep in box that's more expensive than
- 41:13this. And the Wizards, Yeah, the
- 41:22wizard here, she's looking great.
- 41:25Yeah. Magic effects they're going to
- 41:28paint. Yeah, I love the fact that they
- 41:30look very much like the magic effects you got.
- 41:32You know, they could have done something a bit different, but
- 41:35no, they're stuck to what legions have sort of thing, that
- 41:38sort of effect. I love further the poses as
- 41:42well. I think they've got some really
- 41:43cool poses. Yeah, it's one of them where
- 41:45she's sort of thrusting the the magic forward.
- 41:47That's how it feels like she's driving the magic forward to
- 41:50cast it. It's like looking at my display
- 41:52shelves, to be honest, Mouth all these dynamic poses, you know,
- 41:57as anyone's ever seen a customer, I've put, you know,
- 41:59put online. But I was just about to say that
- 42:03they they don't look like action figure poses because you know,
- 42:07they're static things. And so actually saying the
- 42:10opposite of what you just said. And but we know you were you
- 42:14were just being ironic based on that was.
- 42:17I took some photos of some new customs actually.
- 42:20The. Well, in Anglesey, Umm, I
- 42:22apologise to John in advance. Yeah, the the.
- 42:25Very said that texted sorry in advance.
- 42:28Not not like I'm king of posing either.
- 42:30I'm just lighting the off about it.
- 42:31You know, you could easily hop on one of my pictures the next
- 42:37time I post one. I tried one in a different,
- 42:40slightly more adventurous post. I'm not convinced it works, but
- 42:43I can go with it. Just so you know.
- 42:46It's like a moan about you moaning at me John, when I post
- 42:48it so. Although you know, sometimes
- 42:50with customs as well it's nearly better to give them pretty
- 42:52vanilla poses because you don't want to be at risk.
- 42:57Yeah. Scratch and paint.
- 42:59So here's a night. This looks like you know the
- 43:01original Night builder built for.
- 43:05Yeah, thorough lane vibes. That's yeah, it's got that
- 43:09definitely, hasn't it? Yeah.
- 43:10Yeah, but you can paint. Same sort of colour armour too.
- 43:13Yeah, yeah, that's Wayne. Armour was quite dumb.
- 43:20That's right, we on it was. Sorry.
- 43:25So so a wine. Sorry.
- 43:26I'll get to look like Wayne for pronouncing it wrongly as well,
- 43:29so yeah. And again, exaggerated details
- 43:36here, but it works perfectly with the figures.
- 43:39Big sword yet? Looks like the ridges in the
- 43:42armour are pretty prime. Looks like the ridges in the
- 43:45armour are pretty prominent as well.
- 43:46But yeah, will be cool. Makes more fun it'll.
- 43:49Be great for picking them out. I mean for dry brushing for
- 43:51example, that would be pretty handy too.
- 43:54Over brush them as well. Easier than you know, picking
- 43:57up. Plenty is based on that shield
- 44:00to do a little character free hand, yeah.
- 44:03Or you can do a free hand, yeah. Well, I wonder if we'll get some
- 44:07of the OR even the horseman doing transfers that you could
- 44:11use? Oh yeah, they will work at this
- 44:13scale, of course of this. Loads of ones you can just buy.
- 44:16Oh yeah. For other figures, Yeah.
- 44:18Or we get Rich to do one of his drawings on the.
- 44:22Shield a transfer sheet of richest drawing, Yeah.
- 44:25Oh, Patriot bonus for next year's.
- 44:28Richard, if you shrink them down enough, they may even look quite
- 44:30good. What's that little squiggle on
- 44:36the front of the shield? Got to get you to do Rich Jane
- 44:40special versions of all the chapter symbols.
- 44:43They're badges. I just.
- 44:48Then this is the. On the on the spot, I'm
- 44:50literally. Making this for that malice.
- 44:52Yeah, I know. I'm quite impressed with it.
- 44:56Sorry, John, carry on. This is the Paladin, then?
- 45:00Yeah, he looks. Cool, another great pose as.
- 45:02Well, yeah, the great pose, you see a bit of chainmail there, so
- 45:05you can see how that looks at this scale.
- 45:08Already a cool little bit of customising you could do.
- 45:10If you like to customise your minis, just buy a buy one of
- 45:14these like Warhammer sets where he's got a shield and you could
- 45:17stick a shield on that arm in the background.
- 45:20There you go, easy enough to do. Oh God, we'll all be going into
- 45:24Warhammer shops now, trying to get a little bits, you know,
- 45:27buying a whole box of stuff because you want a shield.
- 45:31There's places online that sell bits and pieces.
- 45:34Age of Sigma that's. The one, well, I've called.
- 45:37I think it's fun to know what you're called.
- 45:39Yeah, I've popped into a Warhammer shop in Bristol
- 45:41weekend before last. I just wanted to get a pot of
- 45:45some sort, you know, generic silver paint sort of thing for,
- 45:48yeah, some touch ups on doing a custom and my daughters with me.
- 45:53So she, she basically refused to go in the shop.
- 45:55Fair enough. And then stood outside for like
- 45:5710 minutes while I perused and then came out without buying
- 45:59anything. And she was like, Oh my God,
- 46:01you're so embarrassing. It's like, thank you.
- 46:02Yeah, there we go. Did you not get this paint?
- 46:06I couldn't decide. I came back with that I had some
- 46:10already at home and I couldn't remember what for the definite
- 46:12what I want and I'm too tight to spend like 350 or whatever it is
- 46:15on a pot of paint that I'm already have so.
- 46:21I think what a good. Silver paint is skeleton, so.
- 46:28Any of them really. But yeah, I think this skeleton
- 46:31LED Belcher, awesome LED belt, which is a good one, yeah.
- 46:33That's the one I think I've got already, so yeah, OK.
- 46:36That's really Fang steel then That's another one.
- 46:41Give him a little bit of a wash and add a bit of a depth and
- 46:44oiliness to them. Always looks good.
- 46:46Easy, easy to easy job. I think here.
- 46:50This looks so good like this. It does, I think maybe even
- 46:54better than the figure, he says quietly.
- 46:56Under his breath. Don't tell Brett.
- 47:03Yeah, very cool, Bony dude. The hands look great, don't
- 47:06they? On the on the weapon.
- 47:08They do. Yeah, again, going to be really
- 47:12interesting to see the minis in hand then after seeing.
- 47:16These Yeah, really excited seeing these pictures.
- 47:20I love minis and that's. Also love the way these pictures
- 47:23are done. You got the, you know, the main
- 47:25one here, the reverse side there, and then the kind of
- 47:28silhouette in the background. Yeah, it's really cool.
- 47:34There's a whole lot of them there, just in a row, easy to
- 47:38see, looking great. Yeah, hope we get some more
- 47:43teases of the minis, but they might not want to show them all
- 47:46off and give them all away, I suppose, like that.
- 47:48But it's cool that they're offering them painted as well.
- 47:51I mean, yes, you know. Yes.
- 47:53I mean, that's and again, really cheap.
- 47:54You get $20 yeah for YEAH. That's, I don't know how they're
- 48:00managing that to be honest, but no complaints.
- 48:06Yeah, no, not unless the the person painting them painting
- 48:10like I would, in which case I have very much have a complaint
- 48:12even at $5. I'd be interested to see how
- 48:14they do that, yeah. Can you imagine?
- 48:21There we go next. So, skeleton, what's wrong?
- 48:30I wanted to to bring up this picture here then as well, and
- 48:34this is a skeleton from my I did buy at some stage, but five
- 48:39years ago the the Player's Handbook for DND.
- 48:43It's cool just to have his book even if you never play.
- 48:46Lots of cool art. But I noticed this skeleton in
- 48:49it, and it's just a generic skeleton, but it's not.
- 48:54It's not far off the mix between the two skeletons we get through
- 49:00the RPG. You could easily kick back shit
- 49:03from what parts that exist anyway, couldn't you say?
- 49:06Yeah, no, these are. It's more like torn pants here.
- 49:09It's not, you know, the kind. After, yeah, you know.
- 49:11Skirt piece that you get with legions but the style is not far
- 49:17off and it has hair OK. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:21Excuse me. Sorry.
- 49:22But definitely in the DND style, so very good.
- 49:26This is my love. Even the skeletons have got
- 49:28hair. It's just like it's just me.
- 49:31So yeah, I'd recommend that that if you're interested, especially
- 49:34in playing the game, I think a good way to get a head start is
- 49:37that Player's Handbook for DNDI think 5th edition is the version
- 49:44you need to get. Then our friend Kirby Smith, he
- 49:50posted a cool post in the Cabal. I'm going to rub his picture
- 49:54here. Now all the different types you
- 49:58can have, types of character you can have I think professions he
- 50:01called them. So I just thought I'd bring this
- 50:06up quickly. He was trying to match the
- 50:08professions with the figures that we already have in the line
- 50:12and it first with the RPG. So you see the two figures.
- 50:17There's the cleric, we have the paladin twice.
- 50:20We have two fighters, which is the barbarian and the skeleton.
- 50:23We've 2 Barbarians, which is the barbarian, fighter and the the
- 50:28orc barbarian. We got a rogue, we got a Ranger,
- 50:33the tiger guy, we got wizard and a druid.
- 50:39Eiger guy, it's. A Jaguar.
- 50:43Jaguar. Sorry, Jaguar.
- 50:45Come on. A cat.
- 50:46You know a cat. Don't get me back on the old dog
- 50:48versus the again. Slip of the tongue here, Rich,
- 50:51Come on. Blindly not a dog, you know.
- 51:00No, as we mentioned dogs. I know pussy when I see it.
- 51:07Can't believe you're lowering the tone again this week, John.
- 51:12Don't entertain the listeners. I mean, come on to listen to
- 51:15this. Shape for this as you've used
- 51:18the word word dog I will check a very early hint into the
- 51:22listeners that anyone enjoyed our dog sculpts at Legions Con
- 51:26last year. The 1st 6 for this year have
- 51:29been done done by John Luca. They're amazing.
- 51:33I'll be getting Mark to paint them soon.
- 51:35And yeah, watch this space. Yeah, I think they might even be
- 51:39better than last year's they. 'D want to be, wouldn't they?
- 51:44Yeah. I don't mean.
- 51:48Continuous improvement that. Means the dog sculpts.
- 51:51They're definitely better than the shark sculpts.
- 51:53And that's nothing against Jean Lucas sculpting.
- 51:55It's Richard's choices. It's it's my my design specs.
- 51:59Yeah, you. See.
- 52:00That's how. I'm in real trouble now, yeah.
- 52:04But you know this Ranger built here with the the Jaguar head on
- 52:07it and stick any of the new dog heads painted up on it.
- 52:12Yeah, you've got an instant new character in that build.
- 52:18Yeah, it's a very flexible build.
- 52:20But. But I'm thinking you know the
- 52:22dog. Your heads fits that kind of
- 52:25character Yeah it's it's the Chi Pasha build, isn't it really
- 52:29that just really works as anything.
- 52:31I bet you'll find the warlock and the there's less female
- 52:36heads the but I bet you'll find those ways that didn't.
- 52:39But it's slash druid build. It's the same for the females.
- 52:42I bet you could stick any head on that and it'll look really
- 52:44cool. Yeah, absolutely.
- 52:48And then and then the two professions we don't have
- 52:51anything, anyone, any figures in the RPG yet are lower master and
- 52:55Sorcerer slash Monk. So the lower master I think
- 53:04we're going to get if we get to an unlock.
- 53:06Yes, that's the vampire law master.
- 53:11And then he tried to pick out the figures from the line that
- 53:14we have already. And what?
- 53:18It's really cool idea. Well nicely done, Kirby, Very
- 53:20nicely done. I mean, Blue Haggons in there,
- 53:23Kirby, so shame on you. Yeah.
- 53:26How is he a fighter? He's dead.
- 53:29It's not a very. Last fight it could be I don't
- 53:33pick up on one more thing too any.
- 53:35Translucent. You can't even stab you.
- 53:38Kirby, you spelled douchebag completely wrong.
- 53:40You spelled CBARBARIAN. You know, just if you can
- 53:45correct that going forward, that would be great as well.
- 53:48Right. I'm going to quickly run through
- 53:50them, and then I'm going to ask you.
- 53:51You can think in the meeting, I'm going to ask you guys what
- 53:53profession you're going to build your character to be.
- 53:57You probably already know that Mallory knows Rich is going to
- 53:59have to try and build something on the fly here.
- 54:02Yeah. And Cleric is Faustia.
- 54:05We have so far. Paladin.
- 54:07We got a rack of gore, Gwendoline, Heavens Brand and
- 54:11Sir, Big Greg. Sir.
- 54:12Up. Jack, don't.
- 54:14Interrupt again, John, but just you using the word Faustia.
- 54:17I gripped my hand tightly. It's like I'm starred by that
- 54:21figure. It's just like.
- 54:24Where's Ravenna? She's gripping a big shaft.
- 54:34Ranger, we got the coolest Ranger in the band, then we got
- 54:38the elf Ranger and we got the shadow elf Ranger.
- 54:41Wizard. Samir Druid.
- 54:44Can't wait to get them. I know people have them already,
- 54:47but for Nasus Fighter Blue Hagnon apparently at both our
- 54:58Shadowhorn and Thord Orange, or truly there's more fighters than
- 55:03that. Oh, I think most of mythos.
- 55:06Is functus yeah paladins? Yeah.
- 55:14Barbarian. We have Atlas.
- 55:18Then we have Barbarian, male and female.
- 55:20Cador the deluxe Barbarian. Juno the legendary barbarian.
- 55:26Still love Legendary Warrior probably come in here too.
- 55:29Although yeah, she a fighter. Maybe.
- 55:32Loremaster we have Shway. He's definitely your Loremaster.
- 55:38Shway the Monk Gasper. Una Monk.
- 55:43Yeah, Sorcerer. Again, they could be more,
- 55:47couldn't they? There.
- 55:48Yeah, there's some. Karazak and Azar and Zazar.
- 55:52Hera Serpent's fire. Saw someone in the comments
- 55:55maybe suggest she could be in the Sorcerer Sorceress.
- 55:59A pile here maybe? Was Aria a sorceress as well?
- 56:05I think you should probably fit that category in this, in this,
- 56:09you know, mythos in this mythology.
- 56:12Let's put it like that. Yeah, so now what are you going
- 56:18for when you it'll create your character for the game.
- 56:22It'll be between I need to, this is where I need to read the
- 56:26rules and what they are again, but it'll be between barbarian,
- 56:30fighter, rogue and Ranger. They're my favourites.
- 56:33So yeah, I like, I mean, the rogue, I like the sort of sneaky
- 56:39way they do things. I think that's always a fun way
- 56:41to play. But you can't beat barbarian
- 56:44just charging into battle and be, you know, going a bit.
- 56:46Yeah, because with the way you play.
- 56:48But yeah, a tent like those built so it'll be one of them.
- 56:51I'm not entirely sure yet. And Rich, what are you leaning
- 56:56towards? My my birthplace and my history
- 57:01suggests I should go Druid, as Anglesey was home to the druids
- 57:05in times gone. However, I'm going to have to go
- 57:07Fighter. I was going to smack people
- 57:10around. There's no like casting this
- 57:14spell or whether it's like I picked up a rock I've slammed
- 57:16into his face. Well, I wouldn't do it.
- 57:20That's what I wonder is if there'll be cross classes, cross
- 57:24skilling like you can. I mean, you know, so you say
- 57:28take so many levels of one thing and then you stop and you take
- 57:31so many and you carry on as something else.
- 57:34I wonder if that that'll be in there because that's quite fun.
- 57:36That opens up some fun combinations.
- 57:41How about yeah? I think wizard is what I'd love
- 57:46to be, or a druid. So, you know, I think they're
- 57:50not too far apart. I think I'd probably blown up a
- 57:54little bit on the rules and see which one is more fun to play
- 57:59with maybe. Yeah, druids.
- 58:02Druids tend to be a bit more sort of nature magic.
- 58:05And sometimes they can. We can get a.
- 58:08Flock to. I can flock and.
- 58:11Yeah, there you go. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 58:13Druid. Druid it is.
- 58:15I noticed somebody was selling a snake man firefighters for £30
- 58:19on Auk Bear the other day. John I.
- 58:21Have loads, I have loads. It's a great price, but I have
- 58:23loads of them. Never enough, but I have loads.
- 58:32Yeah, so and the faction thing was interesting.
- 58:36I think the gist of it was that you could basically once you get
- 58:43enough experience, you can basically get points for being
- 58:47part of a faction and then rank up within the faction.
- 58:52Yeah, get. Reward to get, you know, better
- 58:54dice rolls and better rewards and stuff like that.
- 58:57And, and some of the factions will have unique titles for so
- 59:02Lithia's brewed, it's got Baron as one of their higher titles.
- 59:07So yeah, that's cool. Very cool.
- 59:09Just on the subject of characters and linking it back
- 59:12to the minis, of course, what people might be wondering about
- 59:17is how that and somebody might have talked about this, sorry if
- 59:20they have, but what people might be like, oh, how do I create my
- 59:23own mini? How can I create a mini of my
- 59:26character? Well, there are there are
- 59:28websites out there where you can do that sort of thing.
- 59:30The two I've had to play around with before, our Hero Forge
- 59:34which is very good, and Anvil miniatures which is a is a fun
- 59:38one as well. But I've Hero 4, just the, you
- 59:41know, the one I know. Best.
- 59:44So that's where you can actually like get a sculpt of your mini
- 59:49done. Yeah.
- 59:51And you printed. That's it.
- 59:52You can they give you all the tools to design your own mini.
- 59:56You know how he's stood accessories look character, you
- 1:00:00know, type of character. And then you can either get the
- 1:00:03STL to print out yourself. Or you can send it or, you know,
- 1:00:07order it and they, I don't know about Anvil because I say, as I
- 1:00:10say, I've not used that. I've not used them fully either.
- 1:00:13But with Hero Forge you can actually order it painted as
- 1:00:16well. They print it in coloured to,
- 1:00:20you know, resin and that sort of thing to yeah, it's so there's
- 1:00:25options for people if they fancy trying to making their own
- 1:00:28little character in a mini form. Yeah, and I think dndbeyond.com
- 1:00:32is a good place to create your character where you can get, I
- 1:00:37think you can get all the attributes and and you know,
- 1:00:40it'll guide you through it there.
- 1:00:41So yeah, that's a good place to to maybe start.
- 1:00:46Yeah, before we get the the more stuff from the Horseman, maybe
- 1:00:50that's what the game. Well, that's it, as you say.
- 1:00:53I mean, it's 5th edition, so the rules for character creation
- 1:00:56exist. You obviously just there's going
- 1:01:00to be slight tweaks to that for for ethic Legion version of it.
- 1:01:06So yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:07But you know, if you get kind of heading into the game or you
- 1:01:11know, exactly have people, I think that's what people love
- 1:01:16doing is kind of maybe planning up custom of their character
- 1:01:21maybe or something like that, right.
- 1:01:26We also got this cool thing, which it just didn't arrive for
- 1:01:29last week's recording, the map of Mythos that's been unlocked
- 1:01:33and put into the core game. There you see on the screen the
- 1:01:37whole thing. It's hard to read, so I'm going
- 1:01:40to go into more zoomed in versions now.
- 1:01:43But yeah, more detail of basically the original Mythos
- 1:01:46map we got, and in a slightly different style, which is cool.
- 1:01:51And that's going to be a paper map, I think that comes in the
- 1:01:54core rule book. So not cloth or anything like
- 1:01:57that, but you know, maybe down the road if they do it as a
- 1:02:00separate thing. Yeah, they described it as
- 1:02:02they'd be a slip case in the book and.
- 1:02:05Yeah, this and you can stop it is.
- 1:02:07Yeah, yeah. Right.
- 1:02:10So the N 1st Bjorngar and Leander on the like the West
- 1:02:16side, so the left side and the white spine and Zylarnia in the
- 1:02:22east spine and the east side. The white spine is obviously the
- 1:02:26frozen bit up the top here. You got the bloodless throne.
- 1:02:30You've heard of that, Rich? I'm indeed.
- 1:02:32All your buddies of the Sanguine house, that's that's a new one,
- 1:02:36I think. I think it is.
- 1:02:38And the pole star and the pole. Star Yeah, also it's called the
- 1:02:42white spine and yeah, Eulernia, which is a bit.
- 1:02:47Zylonia. Oh, is that Zylonia?
- 1:02:50Yeah, which is this all this bit down here at Castle?
- 1:02:54I can see why you made the mistake though, Rich.
- 1:02:57Yeah. Well, now I feel like a fool.
- 1:02:58But yeah, you got, yeah, you got Whisper Veil there up the north,
- 1:03:04which is the kind of, it seems to be the the cut off between
- 1:03:08The Vamps and Zelonas flock. So that's yeah.
- 1:03:12Maybe where the whisperings live.
- 1:03:14Whistlings are on the on the frontline, aren't they?
- 1:03:16Yeah. They're those great.
- 1:03:18They're the green skinned as right?
- 1:03:20Yeah, that's the one. Leaving the little trenches,
- 1:03:23getting ready for the vampires come in.
- 1:03:25Yeah, yeah, You got Emberdale there, then Castle Silverhorn is
- 1:03:30more in the South of Zylarnia, and going across to the other
- 1:03:35side, you got the Eye of the Lion, so that must be where
- 1:03:42Attila is hanging out. Yeah, you got the Village of
- 1:03:47Lakes, middle of their traders Bay as well as there.
- 1:03:52I think we've heard of that before and maybe in a bio or
- 1:03:55something. Was that Fort Oz Oz blood?
- 1:04:01Yeah, was was. Blood or is blood or is blood.
- 1:04:04Sorry I. Remember if that was on the
- 1:04:06original map or not. I want to say it was but I can't
- 1:04:08remember. Should bring that up to
- 1:04:12comparison really. And what I'm noticing here, and
- 1:04:19even more so in the next pictures, Rich, is all these mad
- 1:04:22sea creatures that are bobbing around.
- 1:04:24Yes, I guess you're not upset to see those.
- 1:04:28In no way, shape or form. There's big octopuses and squids
- 1:04:32and yeah, there's a giant crab underneath the compass point
- 1:04:37sort of thing. This is all good stuff.
- 1:04:40Yeah. It definitely looks like there'd
- 1:04:43be dragon type creatures in the sea it.
- 1:04:46Does isn't it very exciting? Fort Fort ORS blood was on the
- 1:04:52original map. It was.
- 1:04:56That's it. And then this a Dalburn
- 1:04:59territory was there and on the other side you had you have
- 1:05:06Whisper Vale, Emberdale, Castle, Silverhorn.
- 1:05:10So yeah, the Bay of Bones there wasn't done the original map, so
- 1:05:18now we have. They have stones.
- 1:05:20That was that. Stones.
- 1:05:21Stones, sorry. I got on my phone and zooming in
- 1:05:25as much as I possibly can on it. Right, let's move down to the
- 1:05:30middle section. So we've got Aerotorne here on
- 1:05:32the left. That's error there and all these
- 1:05:34nasty bad guys. Yeah, I was expecting to it to
- 1:05:39look more blasted land. Yeah.
- 1:05:42Is it more volcanic? Maybe?
- 1:05:44Yeah. Yeah, a Fidian there in the
- 1:05:47middle, Castle of four sides, right in the middle of the whole
- 1:05:53map at the top of this bit here. Slightly in the end, although I
- 1:05:58thought I actually bet it's be like right in the middle middle.
- 1:06:01Yeah, I think it. Oh, it's just the fold, isn't
- 1:06:05it? Yeah, it's just the fold in the
- 1:06:07map. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:08Jesus Christ. I need sleep.
- 1:06:13Yeah, so a lot of the stuff in narrator was already mentioned.
- 1:06:17And there is more. Yeah, there's definitely more.
- 1:06:20The original map here, there is more.
- 1:06:25You see it volcanic look to it. So you got all the same stuff
- 1:06:32there and the bills Adel have our I don't know what that is.
- 1:06:36Oh, that's that was also there. That was originally Jeremy
- 1:06:39talking. About one of his episodes.
- 1:06:41Oh, did he? OK, Sorry, I missed that one.
- 1:06:43Jeremy, is that Serpent Station? Yeah, Serpent Station.
- 1:06:49That's a new one. I wonder if that's where the
- 1:06:52thingies are these days, what they called the Listen people
- 1:06:58minions. Yeah.
- 1:07:02You got the masked Dale there, that's near the tower of Basilia
- 1:07:05that was in the old map. The flowing Spire new one too.
- 1:07:10That's new, yeah. Over to Etheros.
- 1:07:13Then we had the the Etherons temple in the Crown City that
- 1:07:16was there. North Bay is a new thing on the
- 1:07:18map we haven't seen before. And then if we moved down?
- 1:07:24So have you seen Oh no Karen now?
- 1:07:27I was going to say, do you think North Bay could be where Thingy
- 1:07:30came in to land the Golden? Not the golden, the OH.
- 1:07:35The Golden Gill. The Golden Gill, Yeah.
- 1:07:38You know, that was a eagle sport, wasn't it?
- 1:07:39I. Think that was that, yes.
- 1:07:42Which when we get to it is weird because it's that's like in
- 1:07:46Little Inlet. So, you know, I'm not sure how
- 1:07:48they managed to land. They're having missed.
- 1:07:51Yeah, the dead. Lands and that sort of thing.
- 1:07:52I. Suppose there was a.
- 1:07:55Harbour. There was a route in, shall we
- 1:07:58say? Yeah.
- 1:07:59Yeah. Bottom right here.
- 1:08:01Yeah. The Deadlands.
- 1:08:02So that's where all the skeleton people live.
- 1:08:06Yeah. Skull Harbour and the Brittle
- 1:08:08Tract. That's a great name, the Britain
- 1:08:12Truck Truck. House of the Blessed Bone is not
- 1:08:16marked, but it's that one in the middle.
- 1:08:18It is. I mean, they were talking about
- 1:08:20that being secret, weren't they? So maybe this map is like nobody
- 1:08:24knew is there, so it's not on the map.
- 1:08:26Yeah. Or at least they didn't know
- 1:08:27what it was. They just knew there was
- 1:08:29something there. Yeah.
- 1:08:32Yeah, What's that? I love the kind of weather
- 1:08:34that's. Good at the bottom is that.
- 1:08:36Port, Port town. Yeah, I think the fish.
- 1:08:42Oh, sorry, clicking on the fishy looking people here are even
- 1:08:47more up your street. I think you're rich.
- 1:08:51They're kind of more evil. Yes, yeah.
- 1:08:55You can't have too many fish people, John.
- 1:08:57I mean, there's no shark person if I'm going to get really
- 1:08:59picky, but that's just me. And then down here you got the
- 1:09:06Nether gate, that's for Poxus and his crew are, and you got
- 1:09:11the shifting dunes. That's a new thing.
- 1:09:13And the scourge. I feel like we've heard of the
- 1:09:18Scourge before. We have a figure in Cosmic
- 1:09:21called Scourge. Don't we?
- 1:09:23Maybe that's what I'm thinking. Maybe that's yeah.
- 1:09:28So very cool to get more detail there and we see what comes up
- 1:09:34in the BIOS. We were thinking maybe it might
- 1:09:38have been a bigger map of mythos.
- 1:09:39We're definitely due that returned we.
- 1:09:41We are wider map. The wider map, yeah.
- 1:09:46But it feels like this first book is very much focusing on
- 1:09:49the old new mythos as it's now known, doesn't it?
- 1:09:53I think. I think there'll be expansions
- 1:09:55down the road. Yeah, definitely.
- 1:09:56Yeah, absolutely. Totally.
- 1:09:59I'm just impatient. I want to know now.
- 1:10:01I want to know now. Absolutely right.
- 1:10:07I did some customs. Very cool.
- 1:10:09I did this drunk dwarf for Paddy's day.
- 1:10:13No, it was just coincidental. It was bad, he said.
- 1:10:16And I might do more detail on the silver armour here because
- 1:10:22put a Washington in it, but it didn't come exactly as I wanted.
- 1:10:26But I put it together anyway. Some.
- 1:10:29Really good job, but yeah. But I did a lot of work on the
- 1:10:32the cloth bits and the leather was fun.
- 1:10:36And this cool torso here, I got it, I think in a kind of bug,
- 1:10:40say, like I got off somebody once.
- 1:10:42So I don't know where it comes from, but I'm sure it's one of
- 1:10:46those. It looks like the places like
- 1:10:56Dustin Little Dawn Studios sell it.
- 1:10:58It's actually big a fusion, one of his sets I think.
- 1:11:02What I will say is that the arms go into it perfectly.
- 1:11:07It's like fitting torsos that I've had just had to warm up a
- 1:11:12little bit the the plugs on the arms and then they clicked in
- 1:11:17and actually stay in like really solidly, really well.
- 1:11:22So I was very happy with that. And I think before I painted it,
- 1:11:28I tested that because if that doesn't work, I generally don't
- 1:11:32have any inspiration for painting it then.
- 1:11:36Yeah, so happy enough with that. And then the blue night, which
- 1:11:42people seem to really like, Yeah, might do more nights just
- 1:11:46because people like them. Very popular.
- 1:11:52What other colours has has there not been?
- 1:11:55Yes, I did this in blue because it's my favourite blue paints
- 1:11:58and because there hasn't been a blue coloured night so and I had
- 1:12:03this cool blue Cape that I got off Kim who's Big Dub's sister.
- 1:12:11I traded she she offered to trade some soft goods she'd done
- 1:12:16for two heads that I had painted.
- 1:12:19So I said sure. So I have this and another one
- 1:12:22and some other small bits. So I thought that worked out
- 1:12:27well. And I had this head that I had
- 1:12:28just done as well, kind of old king head from prop masters.
- 1:12:32So happy days. So there's already some stuff
- 1:12:37done for legions Khan. So there's going to be new stuff
- 1:12:39on the table. Yay, we can stop now.
- 1:12:47No, I don't want to get into that mad rush at the end cycle.
- 1:12:50That's that's what I'm afraid of.
- 1:12:52Yeah, you know, right. In stock sale in April, guys.
- 1:12:59Any. Anybody.
- 1:13:02I'm trying to forget that just because it's like I'm going to
- 1:13:05have no money at all before that.
- 1:13:08So it's just like. I might have made a list already
- 1:13:12of what it's like trying, but. Yeah, tell us what you're going
- 1:13:16for. I've decided against the all in
- 1:13:20and just pick up a few of individuals of the of the
- 1:13:27armoury figures rather than the all in because I was like, well,
- 1:13:31I could spend that on the all in and get a load of parts I don't
- 1:13:33want. Or I could just buy and try and
- 1:13:35try and get a few of just the ones I do want, you know, and
- 1:13:39then I'll probably get another Valgard.
- 1:13:45And I think that's. Yeah, you're making me think
- 1:13:47now. So I was just going to
- 1:13:49brainlessly go for the all in if the cash and just it's done.
- 1:13:54But now I'm thinking maybe I should look at it again and see
- 1:13:58what I have and what I actually really want.
- 1:14:02Yeah, my thoughts was like another Valgard 3 or 4
- 1:14:06revenants. Well, I think three are in your
- 1:14:11dreams, buddy. This is true depending how many
- 1:14:13they've made it yet. Yeah, I think that's going to go
- 1:14:17like hot cakes, so. It depends if you put limits on,
- 1:14:22if you put limits on for the 1st 24 hours, whatever, that might
- 1:14:25help. I think just put limit on him
- 1:14:28maybe? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:14:30Everything else can be whatever. Say, I'm not too fussed about
- 1:14:34getting more evidence. I think they're cool figures.
- 1:14:36But you know, yeah, it's very much the leather belts and the
- 1:14:41leather boots and the cloth trousers I want of things.
- 1:14:45Yeah. And I just, I like Valgard, so
- 1:14:46I'd quite like another one of him to play with a bit and then
- 1:14:50Scaphoid I'm thinking might get another one of him to play with.
- 1:14:55Yeah, I kind of see I need more torsos that are not like bare
- 1:15:02torsos or just the standard armour.
- 1:15:05I'd love more of those. Well, I mean I will get some
- 1:15:08extras but more of that dwarf torso for example the the new
- 1:15:12one or the one or it comes with is it broad or brother of
- 1:15:17younger? Oh yeah.
- 1:15:19Oh, well, no, it's slightly different, isn't it?
- 1:15:21But. Is it?
- 1:15:22But it's similar style. Similar.
- 1:15:23Yeah, Yeah. Similar kind of, yeah.
- 1:15:26Yeah, they're great and just different yeah you kind of
- 1:15:29realise torsos is one of the things they haven't done as many
- 1:15:34options of, although there is the the plug in ones, but
- 1:15:39they've kind of disappeared now. Yeah, the Lord Bashati one and
- 1:15:46the leather armour one, but they came with the Knights armoury so
- 1:15:50I suppose that was more plentiful.
- 1:15:53But yeah. Yeah, really cool.
- 1:15:57Third party chest plates to go into those as well.
- 1:16:00Oh yeah, that's yeah, I have a few chest plates as well, but I
- 1:16:04don't have and I even have a few of the actual factory chest
- 1:16:10plates. What I'm missing is the back
- 1:16:12piece, the actual toss? You crack them off and.
- 1:16:16Yeah, yeah, I knew that would come home to roost, you know,
- 1:16:21But yeah. What do you do with the extras
- 1:16:23then, specifically? Soft goods.
- 1:16:24Soft goods thing over the top of it.
- 1:16:27So underneath is this gaping hole in the middle of this also,
- 1:16:30but you can't see it because you've got a tunic or something
- 1:16:33like that over the top of it. It's just too much sticks.
- 1:16:40Yeah. Oh, at first world problems.
- 1:16:42Let's say a. Bit blue tack just a body.
- 1:16:44Make a body out of clay of some sort and.
- 1:16:48Yeah, just green stuff, big ball.
- 1:16:50Yeah, probably work. It probably could.
- 1:16:54Work. Yeah.
- 1:16:55I suppose you could mould it, couldn't you?
- 1:16:57Yeah. I don't know.
- 1:16:59Long term, would it be? I think it'd be fine if you
- 1:17:04weren't making them to sell. Yeah.
- 1:17:06Yeah, if you're just making them for yourself, Right?
- 1:17:11And her Liverpool doing rich. They I've just checked they are
- 1:17:154 nil up so far. OK, so.
- 1:17:18I heard someone on the radio today say that Liverpool and
- 1:17:23Galatasaray were just playing to see who's going to get beaten by
- 1:17:25PSG in the next round. I mean, they might not be wrong,
- 1:17:30it has to be said. But.
- 1:17:33Now I just saw that I guess the result Oh sorry, can you?
- 1:17:36I guess there's more prize money the further you go in this big.
- 1:17:39It's the changes league we're talking about, yeah.
- 1:17:41Yeah, yeah, Newcastle. I was checking the Newcastle
- 1:17:45score earlier and it was 2 all as a Newcastle have got 2 all.
- 1:17:48So they didn't really well and then they lost 7 two in the end.
- 1:17:50So that went horribly wrong after that point.
- 1:17:53Gutted for them, clearly. Yeah, you sounded.
- 1:18:02Yeah, so it looks like. Liverpool are going to be the
- 1:18:04only English side through, isn't it?
- 1:18:07Yeah, like she's. Crazy.
- 1:18:09No Arsenal as well. Oh yeah.
- 1:18:12I keep trying. I'm trying to get Arsenal.
- 1:18:14Sorry, Thomas. Yeah, sorry, your managers,
- 1:18:16yeah. Cock wamble so.
- 1:18:22Yeah. Is that a swear word?
- 1:18:23No. I.
- 1:18:24Don't think so. No, it's a description of.
- 1:18:26You know, yeah. It's in the.
- 1:18:28Descriptive animal, Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:18:31Womble is those little the Wombles of Wimbledon Common
- 1:18:36indeed, with them wombling. Free.
- 1:18:37Yeah, right, we're on to the Wombles I.
- 1:18:42Think I was going to say this is like nothing but the
- 1:18:44international listeners. Like what the hell?
- 1:18:48Yeah, so the the Kickstarter hopefully will bring us more joy
- 1:18:54this week or a few more surprise on locks or, I don't know,
- 1:18:58something to bring it back into life.
- 1:19:02In the meantime, Rich would be making plans for riches randoms,
- 1:19:06the Seven Mile, and Rich would be figuring out what we want to
- 1:19:09do for bonus Patreon episodes. So if you're a Patreon, you have
- 1:19:14an idea. Let us know what you'd like to
- 1:19:16hear. Or if you just want to hear us
- 1:19:18do more shine like this, then you know, go for it.
- 1:19:22Don't worry man, you can make noise now.
- 1:19:23I don't care if the gerbil was alive, he could start making
- 1:19:28noise now too. I definitely think Middle-aged
- 1:19:32Man Podcast might be the way to go as one of our additional
- 1:19:35podcasts. Just moaning about traffic or
- 1:19:38what? Yeah.
- 1:19:39You know what I mean? You know what grinds my gears?
- 1:19:42There we go. Like we could we could do a spin
- 1:19:45off like room one O 1 Yeah. So oh, seriously.
- 1:19:49I would. OK, let's brainstorm this.
- 1:19:52Ask about me moaning about stuff for days sounds good in mind,
- 1:19:56just an episode. Old man shouts a cloud.
- 1:19:58There we go. Yeah, the spin off you're
- 1:20:01releasing. It's a cloud.
- 1:20:05That's a DND. Yeah, smelly old man in the town
- 1:20:11that shouts the clouds. Stay safe out there everybody.
- 1:20:15Remember, you'll still be safe even if you don't pack the
- 1:20:17Kickstarter.
