- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Welcome to Girls Gone Hamewark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:25Speaker 2: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I'm a Hallmark hater.
- 0:29Speaker 2: No, oh my god, did you intentionally drop the former?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. We just recorded a headlines episode and
- 0:41Speaker 1: I was in my brain thinking like, wow, I've really
- 0:44Speaker 1: dranks the Hallmark hater aide lately. Oh and now we
- 0:49Speaker 1: have this and then that slips out. So I'm Wendy.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I'm a former Hallmark hater who hated this show, so
- 0:59Speaker 1: let's talk about it.
- 1:00Speaker 2: We're back with another episode in our First Impression series,
- 1:02Speaker 2: where we review the pilot episodes of the series streaming
- 1:05Speaker 2: on Hallmark Plus. We're watching it so you don't have to,
- 1:07Speaker 2: but maybe you should. Let's find out. Today we are
- 1:10Speaker 2: diving into Sue Thomas FBI eye as. I tried to
- 1:16Speaker 2: emphasize that even though it sounds more piraty than.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Hey.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Follow us on Instagram right this minute. We are Girls
- 1:23Speaker 2: Gone Hallmark. Go and do it.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Hey, we have a Facebook group that's really fun and
- 1:31Speaker 1: with a lot of cool people, so come give us
- 1:33Speaker 1: a join. Girls Gone Hallmark in Facebook groups. Also, before
- 1:38Speaker 1: Megan goes on, can I just say we last week
- 1:41Speaker 1: we announced what we're doing for summer. Yeah, I'm really
- 1:45Speaker 1: excited for it. Uh huh. It is called Girls Gone
- 1:48Speaker 1: Hallmark Summer School. Do you see the play there that
- 1:51Speaker 1: I did? Like because it's summer, but also because we
- 1:55Speaker 1: are going to be watching and reviewing for the very
- 1:58Speaker 1: first time the Miss one on one canon and she
- 2:01Speaker 1: was a professor.
- 2:02Speaker 2: You know, I've kicking up what your foot in?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Did you get it?
- 2:04Speaker 4: Okay?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Anyway, So we will be doing all seven of the
- 2:08Speaker 1: Mystery one on one movies throughout the summer, uh huh,
- 2:10Speaker 1: as well as the hit first season of Mistletoe Murders,
- 2:16Speaker 1: which is we haven't seen either, correct, And I gotta
- 2:19Speaker 1: tell you chat GPT came up with this next line,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and I love it. It's going to be a killer summer.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Nice.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Meg's like, no, I hate everything about it. I don't
- 2:28Speaker 1: I like it.
- 2:28Speaker 2: You hate mysteries. I don't love mysteries. I'm looking forward
- 2:32Speaker 2: to the Mistletoe Murders series, and I like Chris Paalaha. Okay,
- 2:38Speaker 2: I don't think Mystery one one's gonna be bad. It
- 2:39Speaker 2: has a good following. And I have liked a number
- 2:42Speaker 2: of the mysteries at Hallmark has done, like dial One
- 2:44Speaker 2: for Murder, loved it, cases of Mystery.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Lane love it.
- 2:48Speaker 2: You know, I just I don't love a mystery for
- 2:50Speaker 2: the sake of a mystery.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Let's say that.
- 2:52Speaker 1: This is what I think is going to happen now
- 2:55Speaker 1: many many It wasn't many years ago. It was a
- 2:58Speaker 1: few years ago. We did do the first episode of
- 3:01Speaker 1: Mystery one oh one as like a summer Yeah, a
- 3:04Speaker 1: summer thing. It's almost similar to what we did here.
- 3:07Speaker 1: A first impression, right, I rewatched it last night. I
- 3:11Speaker 1: think you're really going to like it. I think I
- 3:14Speaker 1: liked it the first time. I liked it the first
- 3:16Speaker 1: time too. But now that we have a relationship with
- 3:21Speaker 1: one Christopher Palaha, sure, yeah, I totally agree.
- 3:24Speaker 2: That's definitely going to change the vieings totally changes the experience.
- 3:28Speaker 3: And I think I think in addition, the mystery storytelling
- 3:35Speaker 3: is truly like the subplot.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Of the show.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And we also know the chemistry that Polaha and Wagner
- 3:44Speaker 2: have after reviewing Pearl and Paradise exactly, So I'm looking
- 3:47Speaker 2: forward to that, yes, exactly.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It's going to be a fun summer. Okay, Now go
- 3:52Speaker 1: ahead with the regular housekeeping stuff.
- 3:54Speaker 2: That's it. Let's talk to thanas fb I.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Okay, do you want a synopsis? Is that where I'm going?
- 4:00Speaker 3: First?
- 4:01Speaker 2: Let me just tell you This pilot episode premiered on
- 4:02Speaker 2: October thirteenth, two thousand and two, and the series ran
- 4:05Speaker 2: for three seasons from two thousand and two to two
- 4:07Speaker 2: thousand and five.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Now let's hear a synopsis.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Sue Thomas is a deaf woman who works for the
- 4:12Speaker 1: FBI in Washington, d c. Using her ability to read
- 4:16Speaker 1: lips and assisted by her dog Levi, she solves tough
- 4:19Speaker 1: crimes that her hearing colleagues and listening devices can't crack.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Sue Thomas FBI was created by Dave Alan Johnson and
- 4:27Speaker 2: Gary R.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Johnson.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yes they are brothers.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Dave Johnson has written and produced a number of television
- 4:32Speaker 2: shows and is credited as the creator of the series
- 4:35Speaker 2: High Incident, as well as Doc, which stars one Billy
- 4:39Speaker 2: Ray Cyrus. Gary Johnson, his brother, co created both Doc
- 4:42Speaker 2: and Sue Thomas and wrote on a handful of other
- 4:44Speaker 2: television shows.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Dean Bray plays Sue Thomas. Dan has twenty seven acting
- 4:50Speaker 1: credits and has appeared on shows like Veeep, Gray's Anatomy
- 4:54Speaker 1: and Heroes.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Inuka Okuma plays Lucy. Inuka has ninety four acting credits
- 4:59Speaker 2: and has appeared in some of our our favorite shows
- 5:01Speaker 2: like The Pit, Paradise and Working Mom's.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yannick Bisson plays Jack Hudson. Yannick has ninety acting credits
- 5:09Speaker 1: and it has appeared in three hundred and twelve episodes
- 5:12Speaker 1: of Murdoch Murders as well as several of the Aurora
- 5:16Speaker 1: t Garden Mysteries.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I think it's Murdoch Mysteries. But what did I say, Murders?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Jack Jessup plays mechanic Charlie Adams. Jack's career
- 5:25Speaker 2: span seventy six projects, including the Adam Sandler film Tommy Boy.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And we're going to take a quick break before we
- 5:31Speaker 2: come right back with some hot takes on Sue Thomas FBI. Well, Wendy,
- 5:46Speaker 2: the time has come. We've talked about it, we've worried
- 5:48Speaker 2: about it. I turned on Sue Thomas FBI yesterday. It
- 5:52Speaker 2: is an hour and twenty nine minutes of a pilot episode,
- 5:55Speaker 2: and I immediately texted you.
- 5:57Speaker 1: It's twenty nine minutes, and I was like, no, I
- 6:03Speaker 1: watched it on Peacock. It's available on Peacock as well
- 6:06Speaker 1: as Helmerk plus Wow and on Peacock. It's split up
- 6:10Speaker 1: into two episodes, so when the first one ended, I
- 6:13Speaker 1: was like, is that it is? It over? Like that
- 6:15Speaker 1: was really fast, and then I realized there was a
- 6:17Speaker 1: second part. So yeah, this was not a great show,
- 6:23Speaker 1: like at all.
- 6:26Speaker 2: For me.
- 6:27Speaker 1: There's a lot of things that are weird about it.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Here's my here's truly my first impression. We have a
- 6:37Speaker 1: lead actor who has a disability. She is hard of hearing. Fine, Like,
- 6:42Speaker 1: that's totally cool. I'm like totally fine with that. But
- 6:45Speaker 1: this show is called Sue Carter fb I Thomas. It's
- 6:50Speaker 1: a Sue Carter. I watched Sue Carter. Well Carter was
- 6:53Speaker 1: last week's show. Anyway, this show is called Sue Thomas
- 6:58Speaker 1: f b I e ye, I am under the impression
- 7:04Speaker 1: that our lead cannot see. Yeah, and then therefore we
- 7:10Speaker 1: need a scene eye dog because her she has a
- 7:13Speaker 1: companion dog that helps her.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Uh huh, he's her ears.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Which is fine. I know that makes sense.
- 7:21Speaker 2: As I texted you, Sue Thomas fb ear is less compelling.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It is less compelled, So they really they were like, man,
- 7:30Speaker 2: this would be great if we could have a show
- 7:32Speaker 2: about a blind FBI agent. We'll call it Sue Thomas FBI.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And they're like, can't make it work blind? Can you
- 7:38Speaker 2: do death? Change the freaking time, And they did not
- 7:41Speaker 2: change the title.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Like, I'm all for.
- 7:45Speaker 1: A lead that has a companion dog that's gonna help
- 7:48Speaker 1: her do her job. Like that's really cool to me.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I actually said the disability piece is the most
- 7:54Speaker 2: interesting thing here. Like, I loved the visual representation of
- 7:58Speaker 2: the challenges she faced.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Being part of hearing. I agree.
- 8:00Speaker 2: When they show her as a child in the classroom
- 8:02Speaker 2: and it goes silent every time the teacher turns around,
- 8:04Speaker 2: I'm like, damn, that's tell such a story right there. Yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 2: when they show, you know, her mom fighting for her.
- 8:11Speaker 2: When they show these moments where all the different ways,
- 8:17Speaker 2: you know, she gets arrested by this police officer and
- 8:19Speaker 2: he's yelling. I have issues with it, but like she
- 8:22Speaker 2: can't hear him, and when the mechanic's trying to speak
- 8:24Speaker 2: to her the men, I thought it was actually important
- 8:26Speaker 2: that they continued to remind you that these are all
- 8:30Speaker 2: the ways at her not being able to hear manifest
- 8:32Speaker 2: in her life.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Sure. And then her dog.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I actually thought that was really interesting when she was like, oh,
- 8:37Speaker 2: he's my ears, Like he lets me know when someone's
- 8:39Speaker 2: trying to get my attention or the doorbells ringing or
- 8:41Speaker 2: the phone.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Great. I thought all of that was really cool. Same however,
- 8:50Speaker 1: this show.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Was so slow, so slow, clunky, and.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I feel like it.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Just screams like we didn't have bunch of a budget here.
- 9:08Speaker 4: I have some other issues with this show.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Go ahead. This girl has so much trauma in her life.
- 9:14Speaker 2: She loses her hearing spontaneously as a young child, Her
- 9:20Speaker 2: childhood best friend dies in a bus accident, and she
- 9:23Speaker 2: blames herself, her entire life right for that accident. Then
- 9:27Speaker 2: her dog gets shot. You're gonna shoot the dog? Excuse me?
- 9:30Speaker 1: I was real. I was like what, uh huh.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And then they take it to a human hospital. It's
- 9:36Speaker 2: like laying in the bed with the sheet over him.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I was like, come on, yes, even the nicest that
- 9:42Speaker 2: they're in a wire cage in that. It just it
- 9:46Speaker 2: just was like, it's enough that she has challenges in
- 9:50Speaker 2: her life because she's hard of hearing.
- 9:52Speaker 4: That is enough.
- 9:53Speaker 2: She didn't need trauma on top of trauma on top totally.
- 9:56Speaker 2: I agree. I agree. One of my biggest the problems
- 10:00Speaker 2: was how they portrayed Who's character. To me, she comes
- 10:04Speaker 2: off as overly naive. For example, there is a scene
- 10:08Speaker 2: where she is giving testimony and she can read lips,
- 10:12Speaker 2: so she's giving this testimony of.
- 10:13Speaker 1: What she read. It's basically like a conversation she heard
- 10:17Speaker 1: or what she read. Anyway, Then she turns while on
- 10:20Speaker 1: the stand to the judge and goes something about like,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I hope your stomach feels better. I read your lips
- 10:26Speaker 1: earlier that you needed an anti acid because you have
- 10:29Speaker 1: an upset stomach from lunch. And I was like, no
- 10:31Speaker 1: person would ever say something like that. Yeah, that was weird.
- 10:36Speaker 2: It she was trying to prove her point right that
- 10:39Speaker 2: she was reading lips, but like she would know that
- 10:42Speaker 2: that's a private conversation that you're not supposed.
- 10:44Speaker 4: To be reading lips.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yes, come on, you don't if you have the ability
- 10:49Speaker 2: to read lips. And the judge's sidebarring with the attorneys,
- 10:53Speaker 2: that's a not for your eyes situation, right, But it
- 10:57Speaker 2: just was like the way she like.
- 11:01Speaker 4: It just I was like, she's not.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Dumb, She's like a capable professional that clearly has this
- 11:08Speaker 1: unique skill which is very cool to use the federal
- 11:14Speaker 1: agency to use I just want to just maybe okay.
- 11:19Speaker 2: But also she's like driving, She's like, I'm joining the FBI.
- 11:22Speaker 2: She moves to Washington, d C. And they get there
- 11:23Speaker 2: and they're like, you're in special departments? Did she not
- 11:25Speaker 2: know what job she had been hired for?
- 11:27Speaker 3: Us?
- 11:27Speaker 2: She drove all the way across the country and she's like, well,
- 11:30Speaker 2: this isn't the job I wanted. Come on, They're like,
- 11:32Speaker 2: you're in the FBI, Come on out what I don't know?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Also, this show very much showed its age two thousand
- 11:41Speaker 1: and two. There were a lot of commonly accepted.
- 11:45Speaker 2: But isn't it wild when you read that it's in
- 11:47Speaker 2: two thousand and two, wouldn't you been like, this is
- 11:50Speaker 2: like nineteen eighty five with the words that we use.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Were we still using these words twenty years ago?
- 11:54Speaker 1: Apparently so? And on Network TV? Yeah, you know what.
- 11:58Speaker 1: The word I'm referring to is the R word, and
- 12:03Speaker 1: I personally find it offensive. I don't use it personally.
- 12:06Speaker 4: I agreat, But we.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Were using that word in two thousand and two because
- 12:11Speaker 1: it is used often in Gilmore Girls really. M hmm.
- 12:15Speaker 2: I'm in a Gilmore Girl's rewatch, but we're only in
- 12:17Speaker 2: season one. I have not come across it or clocked
- 12:20Speaker 2: it yet. You know, it used to be a socially
- 12:22Speaker 2: acceptable way. It obviously became like a slur, right, but
- 12:26Speaker 2: it became a socially acceptable way it was to describe people.
- 12:31Speaker 2: It is no longer accepted, and it's jarring when I
- 12:34Speaker 2: hear someone use it in my life, I'm like, what
- 12:37Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 12:38Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 12:38Speaker 1: That is not cool?
- 12:41Speaker 2: Can I talk about some other words that I bumped on?
- 12:43Speaker 3: Yes?
- 12:43Speaker 1: Please?
- 12:44Speaker 2: The dog trainer calls Levi schizophrenic. Oh yeah, and I
- 12:48Speaker 2: was like, wait a minute. First of all, he's obviously
- 12:51Speaker 2: not so is that a word that we were using
- 12:54Speaker 2: to describe like just a little bit off?
- 12:56Speaker 4: That's not cool.
- 12:57Speaker 2: That's like when someone would jokingly use the word like
- 13:00Speaker 2: bipolar for someone who's emotional. Not cool people.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Also a line that I did not really understand. It's
- 13:07Speaker 2: towards the end of a movie, but it's a flashback
- 13:09Speaker 2: to when Sue was meeting Levi and he was in.
- 13:12Speaker 4: His outdoor cage.
- 13:14Speaker 2: The trainer is describing, like these rescue dogs being rehabilitated
- 13:19Speaker 2: into service animals as a sort of welfare reform, and
- 13:23Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know what that means, but I.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Don't think I like it. Explain to me what you
- 13:29Speaker 1: think it means welfare reform.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I don't Why can't we just say we're rehabilitating rescue.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 13:36Speaker 4: That's a good question.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Felt I don't know. I can't make it make sense.
- 13:40Speaker 2: But it didn't feel kind. Yeah, No, I hear you,
- 13:44Speaker 2: I hear you.
- 13:45Speaker 4: There was something I really liked.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Tell me, I think I know what it is. Nineties
- 13:49Speaker 1: throwback country.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:51Speaker 1: So the show opens with the song who I Am
- 13:55Speaker 1: by Jessica Andrews. Look, I could if somebody said to me,
- 13:58Speaker 1: when did you know that song Who I Am by
- 14:00Speaker 1: Jessica Andrews, I'd be like nope. But when it played
- 14:03Speaker 1: in that show, I say every.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Word along with it, I knew exactly what it was.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Do you recall in the era of our weddings, it
- 14:11Speaker 2: was common to do slide shows, and it would be
- 14:14Speaker 2: like a slide show of like one spouse through their
- 14:17Speaker 2: childhood and the others, and then you'd have a slideshow
- 14:19Speaker 2: of their relationship. So for the section of our wedding,
- 14:23Speaker 2: slide show that was me. It is the Jessica Andrews.
- 14:29Speaker 1: That's hilarious slide shows. Is anybody doing those anymore?
- 14:34Speaker 4: I thought they were very fun.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I still don't watch ours every once in a while.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Oh that's cute.
- 14:39Speaker 1: We didn't do one.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I might could just be blinking out totally, but no,
- 14:43Speaker 2: I don't think we did one.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Yeah. The second song that was used was called someone
- 14:48Speaker 1: Else's Star by the artist Brian White. Another hot jam.
- 14:54Speaker 1: It was actually not a hot jam. It's like a
- 14:56Speaker 1: very sweet song.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:58Speaker 1: And when I heard it, I was I texted Megan I.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I was like, oh, my husband loves this song.
- 15:02Speaker 4: So funny.
- 15:03Speaker 1: When they started playing it, I was like.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, give me more.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I was waiting for him to because I was playing
- 15:09Speaker 1: it upstairs. I was waiting for him to be like,
- 15:11Speaker 1: what are you watching? You know it was.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I just thought it was such a funny choice from
- 15:16Speaker 2: whoever did the music on the show to pick these
- 15:18Speaker 2: two like nineties country songs. And the opening intro was
- 15:22Speaker 2: so long. It was really long.
- 15:25Speaker 4: It was up the.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Time though, really really long.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Maybe maybe it gets shortened in future episodes. I don't know.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I'm not gonna watch, I.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Have kind of a digit see that.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Oh tell me.
- 15:39Speaker 2: When she walks in on the floor of the FBI,
- 15:43Speaker 2: there's the motto and it says fidelity, Bravery, Justice, which
- 15:46Speaker 2: is not the motto of the FBI. The FBI moto
- 15:48Speaker 2: in the seal is fidelity, bravery, integrity.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Hmmm.
- 15:53Speaker 1: They couldn't use it.
- 15:54Speaker 2: They didn't get the rights to use the perhaps not
- 15:56Speaker 2: the FBI. Else before we talk the Hallmark test? All right,
- 16:04Speaker 2: is it giving Hallmark to you?
- 16:06Speaker 1: Absolutely passes the Hallmark tests. And here's why. Because it
- 16:10Speaker 1: leans real hard into Christian values. Yeah, like more than once.
- 16:15Speaker 2: It's trying to be heartwarming, wholesome.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a real distinction between good and evil. And
- 16:26Speaker 1: I can see like four audiences who are into that. Yes,
- 16:33Speaker 1: this is right in their willhouse.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I mean, look, it's about the Russian mafia. And at
- 16:38Speaker 2: no point am I a person who is easily stressed
- 16:41Speaker 2: out by television worried at all? Like, there's no point.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I was like, oh no, yeah, so it's very lighthearted.
- 16:48Speaker 1: How about the cast, Well, okay, I did enjoy the
- 16:54Speaker 1: character of Lucy the Friend. I thought she was a
- 16:56Speaker 1: solid friend. She's my absolute favorite in the whole show.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I agree. I don't know like her, she was operating
- 17:03Speaker 1: at a higher vibe than everybody.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Else around her billion percent agree with you.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I felt like they could have just picked her up
- 17:10Speaker 1: and put her in a twenty twenty five show and
- 17:12Speaker 1: she would well.
- 17:13Speaker 2: And when I looked at her resume and you know,
- 17:15Speaker 2: she's in Paradise and she's in the only an episode,
- 17:20Speaker 2: but like she's in all of these hit shows. She
- 17:22Speaker 2: was in Working Moms, I was like, Yeah, that doesn't
- 17:24Speaker 2: surprise me. That doesn't I was like, could she be
- 17:26Speaker 2: the lead? And then I'm like, Okay, Megan, don't be
- 17:28Speaker 2: a jerk. This show is about a deaf person, and
- 17:30Speaker 2: a deaf person should be the lead. And I liked
- 17:33Speaker 2: Diane Bray. I thought she was sweet and fine as
- 17:37Speaker 2: the lead, but sure Inuka Okuma is the damn star.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I agree. I agree. I also enjoyed Charlie the Mechanic
- 17:46Speaker 1: Me too. Oh, sweet little Charlie, I am. I thought
- 17:49Speaker 1: there there was this nice kind of symbiotic relationship where
- 17:54Speaker 1: like they were both gonna like kind of take care
- 17:56Speaker 1: of each other. Now I'm curious, like, does he continue
- 17:59Speaker 1: into the series.
- 18:01Speaker 2: He's in like eight episodes, oh sad.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I liked at the.
- 18:04Speaker 2: End when Lucy and Charlie show up in the dog's
- 18:07Speaker 2: hospital room, Like I was like, oh, this is her
- 18:09Speaker 2: little team here, her little team of buddies. Yeah, I mean,
- 18:12Speaker 2: she gotta have her sidekicks.
- 18:14Speaker 1: There was I liked it Lucy the best, but I
- 18:17Speaker 1: don't know if like this whole like cast, like it
- 18:20Speaker 1: didn't excite me like as well.
- 18:23Speaker 2: The ensemble band of FBI characters for me, feels very stereotypical.
- 18:29Speaker 2: And I thought it was so funny. They have that
- 18:31Speaker 2: like one Australian dude who happens to use the Australian
- 18:33Speaker 2: slang sheila right off the bat. They're like establishing him
- 18:37Speaker 2: and it just made me laugh out loud because she
- 18:39Speaker 2: was like, oh he said Sheila, and that identified him
- 18:42Speaker 2: as Australian because obviously she can't hear his accent. And
- 18:45Speaker 2: you know, you kind of have like the he's not
- 18:47Speaker 2: the chief, but like the head guy of their agents
- 18:49Speaker 2: who's like this gruff, doesn't say a lot kind and
- 18:53Speaker 2: you know, good guy Jack, and you got kind of
- 18:55Speaker 2: the mildly corrupt jerks. It just felt very like the
- 19:00Speaker 2: are the characters that we need, like we need to
- 19:02Speaker 2: drop people into each.
- 19:04Speaker 1: It's just felt predictable.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Sure, to the point that not only did the cast
- 19:09Speaker 2: feel predictable, but so much of the story felt predictable.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Because when Lucy is about to introduce Sussu let me
- 19:17Speaker 2: meet my boyfriend, I'm like, it's gonna be nil totally,
- 19:20Speaker 2: and then he walks. My husband's like, who are you
- 19:22Speaker 2: talking to? And I was like, I'm just calling it like.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Talking to my Hallmark shows, my stories.
- 19:32Speaker 4: I think I know the answer to this next question.
- 19:33Speaker 1: But keep it or skip it?
- 19:34Speaker 4: Skip it.
- 19:35Speaker 1: It's fifty six episodes. I would hope that there's some improvement.
- 19:40Speaker 2: It has some nice reviews on IMDb.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Does it I look at if anybody has watched it,
- 19:45Speaker 1: because they're like Megan said, there are three seasons of it.
- 19:48Speaker 1: If anybody has watched it and was like, it gets
- 19:51Speaker 1: a lot better, let me know. I'm curious. I'm not
- 19:56Speaker 1: curious enough to watch it myself, but I'm curious what happens.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I wrote, sorry, skip it, skip it. This is
- 20:07Speaker 2: a first right first solid skip it. Hey, thank you
