- 1:23Speaker 2: And we're going to go from 24 to 30. We
- 1:25Speaker 2: are actually going to finish another chapter in the book
- 1:30Speaker 2: of Jeremiah. Amen. I celebrate every time we get a
- 1:35Speaker 2: chance to finish an entire chapter. And if you have
- 1:39Speaker 2: not been following us the whole time that we've been
- 1:44Speaker 2: in the book, you can catch the replay. You can
- 1:47Speaker 2: start all the way from chapter one and get caught
- 1:50Speaker 2: up to where we are currently. And everything is on
- 1:53Speaker 2: the app. Or you can also meet us every day
- 1:56Speaker 2: right here on the His Hot Radio Station. 11 o'clock
- 2:01Speaker 2: Pacific Standard Time. 11 a.m.
- 2:04Speaker 3: That is.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And meet us right here in the live chat as well.
- 2:11Speaker 2: And I'm going to tell you how to get there.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And also, I want to tell you that we have
- 2:14Speaker 2: a community. It's more like a social media page where
- 2:18Speaker 2: you can post your links, your pictures. You can upload stuff,
- 2:23Speaker 2: your articles. We can go a little deeper with our community.
- 2:30Speaker 2: And we also do our contest there. We do our
- 2:34Speaker 2: trivia challenge, our just a lot of stuff. We post
- 2:38Speaker 2: our flyers concerning events and things we got going with
- 2:43Speaker 2: our organization. So we encourage you to log into both.
- 2:48Speaker 2: utilize both. The live chat is good for chatting live
- 2:52Speaker 2: when we are live on the radio so we can
- 2:56Speaker 2: speak to each other in real time. So that's why
- 3:01Speaker 2: we utilize both. The live chat, we just chat, hit
- 3:05Speaker 2: each other up and it's an instant response. And then
- 3:10Speaker 2: we go to the community and it's more like social media.
- 3:13Speaker 2: You can reply to a comment, things like that. It's
- 3:17Speaker 2: not necessarily live chatting in there, but of course, you know,
- 3:22Speaker 2: we could comment and update and reply to each other
- 3:26Speaker 2: like that. And so why do you want to do this?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Because we want to encourage each other to stay on
- 3:33Speaker 2: that narrow path. The Bible tells us that it is
- 3:37Speaker 2: a narrow road that leads to life. We want to
- 3:40Speaker 2: hold each other accountable. We want to pray for each
- 3:42Speaker 2: other and encourage each other to stay on the path
- 3:45Speaker 2: of righteousness. And this is how you do it. Download
- 3:49Speaker 2: that is hot radio app. H I S H O
- 3:53Speaker 2: P on all platforms. All you have to do is
- 3:56Speaker 2: go to your app store, download it. And what you
- 3:59Speaker 2: do go to the top left menu. And once it
- 4:04Speaker 2: drops down, go to live chat, hit the register button.
- 4:07Speaker 2: It takes a few seconds to do that. And then
- 4:11Speaker 2: how you get to the community, you do the same thing.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Hit that top left menu. and go all the way
- 4:17Speaker 2: down to community. Register for that one. And I believe
- 4:21Speaker 2: you have to verify your email address for that one
- 4:27Speaker 2: as well. Trust me, it is well worth it. Give
- 4:32Speaker 2: us a shout out and we'll shout you out live
- 4:34Speaker 2: here on the podcast. And with that said, let's go
- 4:40Speaker 2: before our Father in prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank you
- 4:43Speaker 2: for another chance, another opportunity to examine your word. We
- 4:48Speaker 2: ask you, O God, that you lead and guide this
- 4:50Speaker 2: Bible study, this podcast, that you will use it for
- 4:54Speaker 2: your own purposes, that you and you only will be
- 4:57Speaker 2: glorified in it and through it. And we ask, O God,
- 5:02Speaker 2: O Lord, that the name of Jesus is exalted and
- 5:05Speaker 2: lifted up, that souls will be touched, saved, healed, delivered,
- 5:09Speaker 2: and set free. that we will examine the truth and
- 5:12Speaker 2: we will examine our own selves as we do so.
- 5:17Speaker 2: And guys, people said, Amen. All right. As I said,
- 5:26Speaker 2: we are in chapter 22, starting in verse 24 through 30.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Grab your Bibles, your notepads and your highlighters. Now, this
- 5:37Speaker 2: is striking image. that we're going to see in these chapters,
- 5:41Speaker 2: we're going to see that there was a signet upon
- 5:50Speaker 2: my right hand, yet would I pluck the hints. Okay,
- 5:57Speaker 2: so what is that? What are we talking about? The
- 6:00Speaker 2: signet ring represents authority, right? Identity and the ability to
- 6:05Speaker 2: authenticate something That the king seals, right? Once we take
- 6:11Speaker 2: an envelope and we put our stamp on it and
- 6:14Speaker 2: we want to send it off, that is an indication
- 6:19Speaker 2: that this belongs to me. This belongs to someone else
- 6:24Speaker 2: as we send it off. So what God is saying,
- 6:29Speaker 2: even if you were that important, I can remove you.
- 6:36Speaker 2: So that's the message today. Your position may be significant
- 6:40Speaker 2: right now, but God can replace you if you do
- 6:51Speaker 2: not walk in the path of obedience. All right, well,
- 6:58Speaker 2: let's get to it. Hopefully I explained that correctly there,
- 7:04Speaker 2: but let's go ahead and get to it. Verse 24,
- 7:08Speaker 2: as I live, says the Lord, though Kaniah, is that
- 7:17Speaker 2: the name? Son of Joachim. I might be butchering that name.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Please excuse me. The king of Judah were the signet
- 7:26Speaker 2: on my right hand. Yet I would pluck you off.
- 7:33Speaker 3: So.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Let me explain this a little better about the signet, right?
- 7:42Speaker 2: Now in this verse, he says, as I live. So
- 7:46Speaker 2: that is a strong statement, right? God is emphasizing the
- 7:50Speaker 2: certainty of what he's about to say. As I live
- 7:56Speaker 2: is strong. Now, remember what we swear about something. We
- 8:02Speaker 2: always swear something. on something that is greater than us.
- 8:06Speaker 2: You hear some people say on my mother's grave or
- 8:09Speaker 2: on my kids or on this and any other. Well,
- 8:12Speaker 2: first of all, we shouldn't be swearing at all is
- 8:15Speaker 2: what the Bible tells us. But when God wants to
- 8:18Speaker 2: swear or he wants to make sure something that she,
- 8:20Speaker 2: he says, as I live now, that is the strongest
- 8:28Speaker 2: thing that he can use. The highest thing is he
- 8:31Speaker 2: swears upon himself. You can't go higher than that. And
- 8:36Speaker 2: that shows us that God is alive. God is the
- 8:40Speaker 2: true and living God. God is real. For him to say,
- 8:46Speaker 2: as I live, we need to wake up to the
- 8:50Speaker 2: fact that we have to deal with a living God,
- 8:55Speaker 2: a living God who sees everything. He sees our thoughts.
- 9:00Speaker 2: our actions, and he even knows our motives on why
- 9:04Speaker 2: we do what we do. So that's why that is
- 9:09Speaker 2: a strong statement. God is talking about the certainty, certainty, certain,
- 9:16Speaker 2: that's a tongue twister of what he's about to say.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Then gives us the image of the signet, a signet
- 9:24Speaker 2: ring was connected to authority in the king's seal. So
- 9:32Speaker 2: God is basically saying this, even if you were extremely
- 9:36Speaker 2: valuable and closely connected to my authority, I can still
- 9:45Speaker 2: remove you. So we cannot think that we are above
- 9:53Speaker 2: God's laws and his commandments, right? Now, I know a
- 9:59Speaker 2: lot of people say, well, you know, are you talking
- 10:02Speaker 2: about the laws of Moses? Are you talking about a
- 10:07Speaker 2: work for salvation? Are we supposed to keep the laws
- 10:12Speaker 2: like the Old Testament? No, we have laws in the
- 10:15Speaker 2: New Testament, the law of love, the law of liberty,
- 10:20Speaker 2: He commands us to fast and pray. These are commandments still.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Even under grace, we are under the law of love.
- 10:28Speaker 2: We are obligated to love our brother as ourself. How
- 10:32Speaker 2: is your love life as far as not with your wife?
- 10:37Speaker 2: You know what I mean? But I'm talking about in
- 10:39Speaker 2: the spirit. Are you loving your brother? The Lord says,
- 10:43Speaker 2: how can you love God who you can't see and
- 10:46Speaker 2: hate your brother who you can't? That is, is a
- 10:49Speaker 2: very close, that is, what am I trying to say here?
- 10:57Speaker 2: That is a good indication of your relationship with God,
- 11:00Speaker 2: how you treat your brother and sisters, how you treat others.
- 11:05Speaker 2: If you're raggedy with others, the truth is you have
- 11:09Speaker 2: a raggedy relationship with God. You have distanced yourself from
- 11:13Speaker 2: the Lord. Now, if you're loving with others and getting
- 11:16Speaker 2: closer to others, then you are doing your due diligent
- 11:21Speaker 2: to walk closely with the Lord. Now, this is a
- 11:29Speaker 2: word for anybody who has been entrusted with influence, especially
- 11:35Speaker 2: in the kingdom. God blessed me with influence to open
- 11:39Speaker 2: up a gospel club in the middle of Las Vegas,
- 11:44Speaker 2: Sin City, right? And sometimes we begin to believe that
- 11:48Speaker 2: because God has given us such a position that the
- 11:52Speaker 2: position can never be taken away. Well, I'm a witness.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I'm not in my club anymore.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Amen.
- 12:02Speaker 2: But sometimes we think, and I can speak from experience,
- 12:05Speaker 2: that this is my ministry. This is my platform, my business.
- 12:11Speaker 2: And these are my followers. But we need to remember
- 12:15Speaker 2: everything God gives us is entrusted to us. There is
- 12:22Speaker 2: always responsibility attached to that. And we talked about that
- 12:27Speaker 2: in the last couple of episodes. So it's never something
- 12:32Speaker 2: that we own independently of God. If God opens the door,
- 12:39Speaker 2: he can also close that door. If God gives us influence,
- 12:46Speaker 2: he can remove that influence. That influence can be lost.
- 12:54Speaker 2: If God gives us a platform, he can redirect that
- 12:59Speaker 2: platform if he desires to do so. And if God
- 13:04Speaker 2: gives us responsibility, he can also take that responsibility away.
- 13:12Speaker 2: That's why humility is always important. And remember, he's addressing
- 13:18Speaker 2: a king. A king of an entire nation.
- 13:25Speaker 3: All right.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Let's pick up in verse 25. And I will give
- 13:34Speaker 2: you into the hand of those who seek your life
- 13:38Speaker 2: and unto the hand of those whose face you fear,
- 13:44Speaker 2: the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and the hand
- 13:49Speaker 2: of the Chaldeans. Man, I could not imagine being a
- 13:57Speaker 2: king and hearing a prophecy like that. My goodness, right? Now,
- 14:06Speaker 2: God is telling Choina, Choina, If you pronounce the name
- 14:13Speaker 2: of this king, he's telling him without any ifs, ands,
- 14:18Speaker 2: or buts exactly where he is about to go, right?
- 14:25Speaker 2: He will be handed over to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon
- 14:29Speaker 2: in the Chaldeans. This was not something that was random.
- 14:33Speaker 2: It was part of the judgment God had already been
- 14:36Speaker 2: warning Judah all about. God knows how to judge and
- 14:42Speaker 2: he knows how to judge thoroughly.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Right?
- 14:45Speaker 2: He knows how to leave no rock unturned here. And
- 14:50Speaker 2: Jeremiah had repeatedly told the nation what was coming if
- 14:55Speaker 2: they refused to repent. How many times does the Bible
- 15:00Speaker 2: warn us about the judgment to come if we refuse
- 15:07Speaker 2: to repent?
- 15:08Speaker 3: Right?
- 15:12Speaker 5: Right.
- 15:13Speaker 2: This is something we've seen throughout the book of Jeremiah.
- 15:20Speaker 2: God doesn't simply drop judgment on people without warning them first.
- 15:26Speaker 2: And that's going to be one of the most tormenting
- 15:28Speaker 2: things about people who go to hell. They're going to
- 15:32Speaker 2: torment themselves over and over again because they had the
- 15:38Speaker 2: opportunity to receive Christ. There's going to be huge regret
- 15:44Speaker 2: in the atmosphere. Every time they could have fasted and
- 15:48Speaker 2: they didn't. Every time they could have prayed and they
- 15:51Speaker 2: chose not to. Every time they could have read their Bible,
- 15:54Speaker 2: they turned on Netflix or the Xbox. Every time they
- 15:59Speaker 2: could have witnessed or went out to support someone. Every
- 16:02Speaker 2: time they could have donated to the kingdom, to a ministry,
- 16:07Speaker 2: a church. Every time they could have paid their tithes.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Every time we had an opportunity. But we did not
- 16:18Speaker 2: take heed. It would be a tormenting factor.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Right?
- 16:26Speaker 2: Because God will send his word. He will send prophets.
- 16:30Speaker 2: He will send opportunities for us to repent. He calls
- 16:37Speaker 2: us back to himself. But eventually. there comes a point
- 16:41Speaker 2: where consequences arrive. That's why we shouldn't treat God's warnings casually.
- 16:48Speaker 2: It's not a casual thing to be warned by scripture
- 16:54Speaker 2: or by the Holy Spirit, right? Grace should lead us
- 17:01Speaker 2: towards repentance and not presumption. We should not presume upon
- 17:08Speaker 2: the grace of God. Amen. Verse 26. So I will
- 17:19Speaker 2: cast you out. And your mother who bore you. Wow.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Not just the king, but his mama, too. I mean.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Come on. You got to understand God's character and God's
- 17:34Speaker 2: heart when it's time to get dealt with. He is thorough. Remember,
- 17:39Speaker 2: God is perfect. So yes, his love is perfect, but
- 17:44Speaker 2: so is his wrath and his judgment. He says, into
- 17:48Speaker 2: another country where you were not born and there you
- 17:53Speaker 2: shall die. This is strong, beloved. Now, casting him out
- 18:06Speaker 2: and his mother would be And they will be taken
- 18:12Speaker 2: to another country. They would leave their homeland. And so
- 18:16Speaker 2: they would not experience the future that they've expected, right?
- 18:23Speaker 2: Imagine the emotional weight of that. You were born in
- 18:30Speaker 2: one place. You were raised there. You inherited a royal position.
- 18:40Speaker 2: And now you are being carried away. You are being
- 18:47Speaker 2: carried away from that place that you are familiar with.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So sin often promises freedom while quietly creating bondage. You see,
- 19:06Speaker 2: at first, rebellion can look like independence. Rebellion can look
- 19:12Speaker 2: like freedom. Nobody is going to tell me what to do.
- 19:17Speaker 2: How many times have we heard that growing up, right?
- 19:20Speaker 2: We still hear that from grown adults. Nobody can tell
- 19:24Speaker 2: me what to do. But eventually, choices produce consequences. And
- 19:34Speaker 2: sometimes the consequences take you places you never intended to go.
- 19:43Speaker 2: And that's why wisdom tells us to think beyond the moment.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Don't think about what you want right now, the quick pleasure,
- 19:54Speaker 2: or you think that person or this person got your
- 19:58Speaker 2: back or they're in your corner. You think that this
- 20:02Speaker 2: is a good decision or a good choice, but you
- 20:05Speaker 2: got to think beyond the moment. So don't ask yourself, oh,
- 20:15Speaker 2: what do I want right now? But ask yourself, where
- 20:19Speaker 2: will this decision take me? If I indulge in this sin,
- 20:24Speaker 2: if I give in to this temptation, if I say this,
- 20:29Speaker 2: or if I go there. All right, verse 27, but
- 20:37Speaker 2: to the land to which they desire to return, there
- 20:42Speaker 2: they shall not return. Now, this right here is heartbreaking.
- 20:53Speaker 2: They would desire to return to come home. They desire
- 21:00Speaker 2: their homeland, but they wouldn't. The place that they wanted
- 21:05Speaker 2: to return to will be out of reach for them.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Now that reminds us that consequences can sometimes close doors
- 21:18Speaker 2: that we thought would always remain open. So here's a
- 21:24Speaker 2: lesson for all of us. Don't wait until you've lost
- 21:30Speaker 2: everything to realize the value of it, right? Don't wait
- 21:36Speaker 2: until your family is broken to value your family. Don't
- 21:41Speaker 2: wait until Trust is gone to become trustworthy. Don't wait
- 21:50Speaker 2: until the opportunity disappears to appreciate that opportunity. And don't
- 22:00Speaker 2: wait until the platform is gone to start using it responsibly. Right? Right?
- 22:08Speaker 2: And spiritually, don't wait until consequences arrive to obey God.
- 22:14Speaker 2: When God speaks, listen while you still have the opportunity
- 22:19Speaker 2: to respond to him. Not when it's too late, not
- 22:24Speaker 2: when judgment is already on its way. I mean, it's
- 22:32Speaker 2: a good thing to repent and try to get right,
- 22:36Speaker 2: but Don't wait until the last minute. Some consequences we
- 22:41Speaker 2: cannot get out of. Amen. Verse 28. This is the man.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Troy.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Troy. Connie. Connie. Y'all know what I'm talking about. A
- 22:59Speaker 2: despised broken idol, a vessel in which is no pleasure.
- 23:06Speaker 2: why are they cast out he and his descendants and
- 23:11Speaker 2: cast into the land, which they do not know. Amen.
- 23:27Speaker 2: So God speaks as a theoretical or, or what do
- 23:33Speaker 2: they call those things? Those, uh, Those questions, right? Theoretical questions, right?
- 23:44Speaker 2: A question you ask, you already know the answer, right?
- 23:46Speaker 2: It's not like you're trying to find the answer. They're
- 23:49Speaker 2: throwing it out there just to make them think. So
- 23:54Speaker 2: this king has become like a broken object that nobody wants.
- 24:02Speaker 2: A vessel that has lost its usefulness. So that image
- 24:08Speaker 2: is powerful too, right? Sometimes once valuable can become something
- 24:15Speaker 2: that is disregarded. Let me say that again. Something's once
- 24:20Speaker 2: valuable can become something disregarded. And beloved, keep in mind,
- 24:29Speaker 2: they're talking about us, right? Are you valuable in the
- 24:35Speaker 2: hands of God? Can God look at you and say, okay,
- 24:40Speaker 2: this is my valuable servant and I can do this, that,
- 24:45Speaker 2: and the other, or can we become useless in his hands?
- 24:58Speaker 2: So let's, This is the seriousness of God's judgment upon
- 25:05Speaker 2: Judah's leaders. This king occupied a position of enormous significance,
- 25:13Speaker 2: yet his position could not protect him from God's judgment
- 25:18Speaker 2: at all. The imagery of a signet ring demonstrates that
- 25:27Speaker 2: God authority over the very authority he gives right you
- 25:34Speaker 2: may have a supervisor or a boss or you may
- 25:38Speaker 2: be working with someone a politician someone who's in a
- 25:42Speaker 2: position of authority has more authority over us but we
- 25:47Speaker 2: got to remember that God has authority over that authority
- 25:52Speaker 2: God has authority over the White House and Right. So
- 26:00Speaker 2: the king's position was not permanent at all. His earthly
- 26:04Speaker 2: power did not override God's purposes at all. He may
- 26:11Speaker 2: have had an army that he could command as king,
- 26:16Speaker 2: but he cannot override God himself. God has a great
- 26:23Speaker 2: army in heaven. And also the exile demonstrated that God's
- 26:30Speaker 2: word would ultimately come to pass even when people in
- 26:35Speaker 2: position of power refuse to believe and obey his word.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Just because you have position, just because you have power,
- 26:45Speaker 2: you have influence, does not mean God's word will not
- 26:53Speaker 2: come to pass. Verse 29.
- 26:58Speaker 5: Oh, earth.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Oh, earth. Oh, earth. Hear the word of the Lord. Now,
- 27:07Speaker 2: I think this is pretty significant here, right? That he
- 27:14Speaker 2: calls out to the earth. As if he's saying, listen,
- 27:22Speaker 2: pay attention. This isn't something to ignore at all. The
- 27:28Speaker 2: word of the Lord has been spoken. You know, sometimes
- 27:33Speaker 2: when you're trying to get someone's attention or somebody's not listening,
- 27:37Speaker 2: you start speaking to the wall and the floor, right?
- 27:43Speaker 2: We live in this world full of voices. Social media, news, entertainment, music, podcasts. Friends, families, influencers,
- 27:58Speaker 2: everybody has something to say in this generation we're living in.
- 28:02Speaker 2: But Jeremiah gives us a simple challenge. Hear the word
- 28:10Speaker 2: of the Lord. Not every voice is equal. Not every
- 28:18Speaker 2: voice deserves equal authority in our lives. Not every opinion
- 28:26Speaker 2: deserves equal weight. Not every trend deserves to shape our
- 28:36Speaker 2: lives at all. We need discernment. And as Christians, the
- 28:43Speaker 2: word of the Lord has to remain our foundation. The
- 28:48Speaker 2: word of God has to be our final authority. no
- 28:55Speaker 2: matter how many voices out there are speaking. Verse 30,
- 29:00Speaker 2: the last verse in this chapter. Thus says the Lord.
- 29:05Speaker 6: Write this man down as childless, a man who shall
- 29:16Speaker 6: not prosper in his days, for none of his descendants
- 29:21Speaker 6: shall prosper.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Sitting on the throne of David and ruling anymore in Judah.
- 29:32Speaker 2: That is a very specific and personal judgment against this king.
- 29:42Speaker 2: That is also a sobering conclusion to this chapter. God
- 29:47Speaker 2: declares that this king's reign would come to an end,
- 29:56Speaker 2: a hard stop, right? because his descendants will not continue
- 30:02Speaker 2: ruling from David's throne in Judah in the way that
- 30:07Speaker 2: people might have expected them to. Right. This was a
- 30:12Speaker 2: devastating blow to Judah's royal line. And again, the point
- 30:21Speaker 2: is not simply political. It is the out the theological point.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Am I saying that right? In other words, theology. Right. Biblical.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Just let me just say biblical. Now, God's purposes cannot
- 30:39Speaker 2: be manipulated by a man at all. By human beings
- 30:45Speaker 2: at all.
- 30:45Speaker 6: All right.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I want to drop back to this signet ring for
- 30:56Speaker 2: a second.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Right.
- 30:58Speaker 2: In verse 24. Now though this king. If he were.
- 31:05Speaker 2: The signet. Upon my right hand. Is what he said.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Even if. He was a signet. On his right hand.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Which we said the ring. Represents authority. Identity. Belonging. It's
- 31:23Speaker 2: like showing our ID. Our passports. It proves that we
- 31:31Speaker 2: are who we say we are. And we have the
- 31:35Speaker 2: authority under this name to go to my bank account.
- 31:40Speaker 2: I can go do certain things under my name, things
- 31:42Speaker 2: that belong to me or God has given to me.
- 31:46Speaker 2: This is basically the authority of having this signet ring.
- 31:57Speaker 2: It represents something that is valuable. Something that has identity
- 32:03Speaker 2: and something that has authority. But God says, yet would
- 32:08Speaker 2: I pluck the hints. This means don't confuse being chosen
- 32:16Speaker 2: for being untouchable. Don't confuse position for with Let me
- 32:26Speaker 2: say it again. Don't confuse position with permission. Just because
- 32:32Speaker 2: you have position doesn't mean you have the permission to
- 32:37Speaker 2: live any kind of way, to live a life of sin.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Do not confuse influence with immunity. You are not immune
- 32:50Speaker 2: to the judgment of God just because you have position
- 32:53Speaker 2: with influence and authority. And I think a lot of
- 32:56Speaker 2: pastors today get in trouble with that, especially because you
- 33:01Speaker 2: have the big platform, especially celebrities think that they are
- 33:05Speaker 2: above the law. They think they could do whatever they
- 33:09Speaker 2: want because of their power, their money, their influence. God
- 33:18Speaker 2: doesn't look at any of those things. Amen. So what
- 33:30Speaker 2: we're going to take away today in this podcast is
- 33:33Speaker 2: no position is permanent. Earthly authority can change at any moment.
- 33:44Speaker 2: When God gives, gives, when God gives you a gift,
- 33:50Speaker 2: it comes with responsibility. You are entrusted with influence means
- 33:58Speaker 2: you have to be accountable for how you use that influence. Amen.
- 34:06Speaker 2: And God warned God's warning should lead us to repentance.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Don't wait until consequences force you to respond to God's word.
- 34:17Speaker 2: We need to stay humble. Never allow your position to
- 34:23Speaker 2: make you think you are untouchable. And God's word stands
- 34:32Speaker 2: above human power. Kings can change. Governments can change. Platforms
- 34:39Speaker 2: can change. But God's word remains. His word stays the same. So,
- 34:51Speaker 2: With that being said, we need to build our lives
- 34:57Speaker 2: upon the word of God. That is the unchanging foundation.
- 35:03Speaker 2: The only thing that we can trust in is the word.
- 35:10Speaker 2: All right, y'all, let's take a break.
- 35:13Speaker 4: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 35:16Speaker 4: is the HizHop Radio Show.
- 35:24Speaker 2: What do you believe? I believe in God.
- 35:25Speaker 5: Do you live like you believe in God? I believe
- 35:47Speaker 5: in what isn't seen so I don't lean on what's
- 35:49Speaker 5: in my sight. Today I woke up a new being.
- 35:51Speaker 5: All has been clean for me through the night. Can't
- 35:54Speaker 5: imagine if I died and he showed the clips of
- 35:56Speaker 5: me and my life. Double edge every time that I
- 35:58Speaker 5: hit a script it feel like a knife. Transformation in
- 36:01Speaker 5: the mind now I got a different look at my life.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Only focus on right now cause the past don't even
- 36:06Speaker 5: be hype. Don't even mention the light child without emphasis
- 36:09Speaker 5: put on the light. And I don't want to be
- 36:11Speaker 5: in your top five unless the phone top of me
- 36:13Speaker 5: is Christ. Yeah. Can't nobody take the zeal. Me and
- 36:18Speaker 5: God on contract. Why would I take a deal?
- 36:21Speaker 2: Guard your heart.
- 36:21Speaker 5: Put up a fight.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Gotta stay in the wheel.
- 36:24Speaker 5: If you in the dark and looking for light, I
- 36:26Speaker 5: know who can pay the bill.
- 36:27Speaker 2: I could give you a name for real.
- 36:28Speaker 5: Christ. yeah, come get your electricity, the power yours, no
- 36:33Speaker 5: matter the ethnicity, the past is gone, it ain't gonna
- 36:35Speaker 5: be no memory, God is fishing for a light to
- 36:38Speaker 5: carry out the gospel energy, he be granting wishes like an.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Odd parent, I feel like Timothy Turner, I'm.
- 36:44Speaker 5: Just a server, I don't expect him to owe me nothing,
- 36:46Speaker 5: I am the lesser to him, he go before me,
- 36:48Speaker 5: treat him like an older cousin, no request when I
- 36:50Speaker 5: check in, cause as of lately, I don't have a
- 36:52Speaker 5: want for nothing, it's a struggle for me to stay
- 36:54Speaker 5: pressed in, but as of lately, I feel like I
- 36:55Speaker 5: hold the button when the flesh is open i don't
- 36:57Speaker 5: look at the menu because i can't risk it being
- 36:59Speaker 5: in pollution we already know he built this temple what
- 37:01Speaker 5: i look like tearing down the institution forgiveness that fell
- 37:03Speaker 5: on the kid and that's what got rid of what
- 37:05Speaker 5: had me in retribution it's hard to know what i
- 37:07Speaker 5: did when all of my sins already had an execution
- 37:10Speaker 5: don't even mention the light child without emphasis put on
- 37:13Speaker 5: the light and i don't want to be in your
- 37:14Speaker 5: top five unless the phone top of me is christ Yeah,
- 37:18Speaker 5: hold up, I think all of my tests are finished
- 37:21Speaker 5: It's the return of the anointing, now all of my
- 37:23Speaker 5: flesh diminished When I'm in the flow, I gotta spark
- 37:25Speaker 5: it up, I gotta test the limits I got the
- 37:28Speaker 5: bars up when I be charged up, I'm like a
- 37:29Speaker 5: Tesla in it That's why I ain't gotta check the
- 37:32Speaker 5: engine Hold up, wait, when would I even check the engine?
- 37:35Speaker 5: I don't know how to stop, I can never skip
- 37:37Speaker 5: over scripture When it comes to the word, I don't
- 37:39Speaker 5: know how to hop God said put my soul in
- 37:41Speaker 5: it when I talk, and that's how I'ma know it's
- 37:42Speaker 5: gon' pop Shoes got holes in them because of this walk,
- 37:45Speaker 5: it feel like I'm going in Crocs The bars make
- 37:47Speaker 5: them take heat, so they wanna know when I drop
- 37:49Speaker 5: It's God written, that's why the flow be clean, I'm
- 37:51Speaker 5: not even holding a mop I was in vain till
- 37:54Speaker 5: I had the scripture, he gave it and told me
- 37:55Speaker 5: to go to the top I had took Satan right
- 37:57Speaker 5: out of the picture, he ain't even know that the
- 37:59Speaker 5: photo was cropped Hold up, wait, let's look at the
- 38:02Speaker 5: evolution Every day I run into a problem, but all
- 38:05Speaker 5: of them come with a resolution I had to make
- 38:07Speaker 5: some choices, gave it my all, revamping the revolution It's
- 38:10Speaker 5: the return of the anointed, my fall came to a conclusion.
- 38:43Speaker 4: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 38:46Speaker 4: is the HizHop Radio Show.
- 39:05Speaker 2: All right, y'all. We are back from that musical break.
- 39:09Speaker 2: That was our brother Kieran the Light with Return. Check
- 39:13Speaker 2: him out. My brother got some good stuff out there.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Holding down the front lines. We want to support this genre.
- 39:22Speaker 2: We want to move it forward. And uh have you
- 39:25Speaker 2: noticed that christian hip-hop is now becoming the new mainstream
- 39:31Speaker 2: which i think is amazing it is time for the
- 39:41Speaker 2: accountability partner segments and before we do that i want
- 39:44Speaker 2: to give a quick shout out to the live chat
- 39:47Speaker 2: Shout out to our brother Zone 3 for faithfully showing up.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Our brother, Corinth, for coming through. Mrs. Hishop, Quincy, Wesley Tech,
- 39:57Speaker 2: all those who stopped in to say hi, even in
- 40:00Speaker 2: the past. We just want to say what's up. We
- 40:04Speaker 2: appreciate all the support we get. It is never taken
- 40:08Speaker 2: for granted. And also... We want to share the love back.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Give us a shout out. We want to shout you
- 40:17Speaker 2: out as well. Don't forget to like, subscribe, share, comment,
- 40:23Speaker 2: interact with this podcast. You never know who you might
- 40:26Speaker 2: reach when you just send the link out. If you're
- 40:30Speaker 2: having a problem sometimes to witness your faith, hey, point
- 40:34Speaker 2: them to this podcast. We break it all down. So
- 40:41Speaker 2: If you're in the live chat now, we're going to
- 40:44Speaker 2: ask you to jump over to the community. This is
- 40:47Speaker 2: where you're going to find the rest of the segment.
- 40:49Speaker 2: The rest of the podcast is in the community. So
- 40:52Speaker 2: we're going to start with the accountability partner challenge for today.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Ask your accountability partner what position, platform or opportunity am
- 41:04Speaker 2: I most tempted to take for granted? Then ask, if
- 41:11Speaker 2: God removed it tomorrow, would my relationship with him still
- 41:15Speaker 2: be strong? So that is a tough question, but it's
- 41:21Speaker 2: worth asking. We always need to examine our hearts, allow
- 41:27Speaker 2: the word of God to examine whether or not we
- 41:31Speaker 2: are in the faith. Now, if we If our identity
- 41:40Speaker 2: is built entirely around a position, then that means losing
- 41:45Speaker 2: that position can make us lose who we are. And
- 41:49Speaker 2: God doesn't want that. So our identity has to be
- 41:57Speaker 2: rooted deeper in what we do. Our identity is in
- 42:03Speaker 2: God and God alone.
- 42:05Speaker 6: Amen.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Also, we want to let you know that His Hot
- 42:10Speaker 2: Radio is a monitored and a reporting radio station. We
- 42:15Speaker 2: do have three charts that we report to. If you'd
- 42:20Speaker 2: like to submit your music, go to our website, hishopnation.com
- 42:26Speaker 2: and hit that submissions tab. Fill out all the info
- 42:30Speaker 2: that you find there. And also there's opportunities to advertise
- 42:35Speaker 2: your Get that exposure that you're looking for on our platform.
- 42:40Speaker 2: So check out the promo packages. They are very affordable.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Nothing is going to break your bank account.
- 42:54Speaker 6: All right.
- 42:54Speaker 2: It is time for the trivia challenge for today. Another
- 43:00Speaker 2: shout out to our brother Zone 3 who has been
- 43:02Speaker 2: the rainy champ. for I don't know man this is
- 43:05Speaker 2: you've been raining so long we might as well say
- 43:09Speaker 2: you you just just give it over to you like
- 43:13Speaker 2: sometimes we have challengers who jump in and challenge you
- 43:17Speaker 2: and then they fall off and then we don't see
- 43:21Speaker 2: them no more so hey you know that's an open
- 43:25Speaker 2: door right there my brother the trivia champ all right
- 43:30Speaker 2: well you know how we do if you answer the
- 43:32Speaker 2: question first in the live chat, or I'm sorry, in
- 43:37Speaker 2: the community, because that's where we moved everything to, then
- 43:41Speaker 2: you are the trivia champion for the day. And you're
- 43:47Speaker 2: also growing in the word of God. Why not play
- 43:50Speaker 2: a game that helps you go deeper into God's word?
- 43:56Speaker 2: So the question is, if God removed your position, your platform,
- 44:02Speaker 2: your money, your title, Would you still know who you
- 44:07Speaker 2: are in Christ? Let me ask that again. The question is,
- 44:14Speaker 2: if God removed your position, your platform, your money, or
- 44:21Speaker 2: your title, would you still know who you are in Christ?
- 44:27Speaker 6: Amen.
- 44:27Speaker 3: Amen.
- 44:32Speaker 2: First one to answer that is the champion.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Oops, actually.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I got that mixed up. I read the question for today. Okay.
- 44:56Speaker 2: All right. The question for today is in the live chat.
- 45:01Speaker 2: And I just read it. But that is not the
- 45:03Speaker 2: trivia challenge. My bad y'all. The challenge is. The question is.
- 45:08Speaker 2: What specific object. Does the Lord compare. The king. To
- 45:15Speaker 2: in verse 24. And what does the Lord say. He
- 45:20Speaker 2: will do with it.
- 45:21Speaker 3: Alright.
- 45:23Speaker 2: That's the true trivia. Question right there. What specific object.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Does the Lord compare the king to in verse 24?
- 45:34Speaker 2: And what does the Lord say that he will do
- 45:37Speaker 2: with that object? The first one to answer that one,
- 45:40Speaker 2: you actually get extra credit today because I messed that
- 45:43Speaker 2: up myself. The question of the day, the question of
- 45:47Speaker 2: the episode is actually new. So man, also, I want
- 45:55Speaker 2: to give a community shout out. We have a couple
- 46:02Speaker 2: of events that we're getting ready for. The big event
- 46:05Speaker 2: will be our Christmas event at the end of the year.
- 46:09Speaker 2: We are partnering with other entities in our community to bless,
- 46:15Speaker 2: to be able to bless families who may be lacking toys,
- 46:22Speaker 2: lacking resources this year. They want to bless their children.
- 46:26Speaker 2: We get awesome things like bikes and scooters and all
- 46:30Speaker 2: kind of things, all kind of gifts that we give.
- 46:33Speaker 2: We're also going to be partnering with the Fashion Show
- 46:36Speaker 2: Mall this year, which is amazing. We're going to be
- 46:39Speaker 2: picking up toys and different things like that. We're going
- 46:43Speaker 2: to start early signups this year. So we're going to
- 46:46Speaker 2: get the word out. If you can use the assistance,
- 46:52Speaker 2: if you can use the help, we We want you
- 46:57Speaker 2: to hit us up on our website, hishotnation.com or download
- 47:03Speaker 2: the app. And it is important for you to start
- 47:07Speaker 2: following this podcast because this is where you really going
- 47:10Speaker 2: to get all the updates, all the information, the address,
- 47:14Speaker 2: the day, the time, all that. We're still working out
- 47:16Speaker 2: the venue at this point, but I'm giving you early
- 47:20Speaker 2: access so that you can get registered and get ready
- 47:25Speaker 2: to come And so that you can be blessed. Amen.
- 47:29Speaker 2: All right. We also want to let you know that
- 47:41Speaker 2: His High Radio is a 501c3, a nonprofit organization. We
- 47:52Speaker 2: opened a Christian club back in 2012. God has given
- 47:57Speaker 2: me influence. He has given me a position and he
- 48:00Speaker 2: has given me responsibility. And my prayer is that we
- 48:06Speaker 2: are able to relaunch. We opened Club Hits Out Las Vegas.
- 48:10Speaker 2: That's why we became a nonprofit. We're looking for grants.
- 48:13Speaker 2: We're looking for sponsors, monthly donors. We're looking for volunteers.
- 48:19Speaker 2: We're looking for those who believe in the vision, those
- 48:22Speaker 2: who God has placed it in their hearts to be
- 48:26Speaker 2: a part of it. We're just allowing you to know
- 48:30Speaker 2: the need, allowing you to know that there is a
- 48:33Speaker 2: spot for you to come serve. If you are a
- 48:37Speaker 2: grant writer or if you're an artist, a producer, if
- 48:41Speaker 2: you want to contribute in any way in collab with
- 48:45Speaker 2: us or join the organization, It is up on our website, HisHotNation.com
- 48:51Speaker 2: or the app His Hot Radio on all platforms. And
- 48:55Speaker 2: if you desire to donate, remember it is a tax write-off.
- 49:01Speaker 2: It is tax deductible. And when it comes tax time,
- 49:04Speaker 2: some of us owe taxes. But if you had more write-offs,
- 49:10Speaker 2: chances are you could turn that around. And so, hey,
- 49:16Speaker 2: we are right here if you're looking. Amen. With that said,
- 49:24Speaker 2: I have final comments as we close out the podcast. Now,
- 49:31Speaker 2: Jeremiah 22, 24 through 30 is a warning against becoming
- 49:36Speaker 2: so attached to To our position that we forget who
- 49:42Speaker 2: gave us our position, right? Some of us don't go
- 49:49Speaker 2: to church because we have to go to work. We
- 49:51Speaker 2: put work in front of going to church when God
- 49:55Speaker 2: is the one who gave you that job, right? Now,
- 50:01Speaker 2: don't get me wrong. There's some situations that cause for
- 50:04Speaker 2: that and some people make concessions for it. But I'm
- 50:09Speaker 2: just saying, ultimately, God is the one who gave us that. Now,
- 50:16Speaker 2: the king had authority. He had heritage. He had a
- 50:20Speaker 2: royal title. But none of those things made him untouchable.
- 50:28Speaker 2: God says, I can remove what I gave you. Now,
- 50:33Speaker 2: that's not meant to make us afraid. It's meant to
- 50:36Speaker 2: make us humble. If God has given you influence, steward it.
- 50:44Speaker 2: If God has given you a platform, use it. And
- 50:50Speaker 2: if God has given you resources, share them. And if
- 50:56Speaker 2: God gives you responsibility, take that responsibility seriously. And when
- 51:03Speaker 2: God corrects you, listen. Do not wait until the door closes. See,
- 51:11Speaker 2: if I would have gotten myself together, the club would
- 51:16Speaker 2: still be open today. God has given me a huge
- 51:19Speaker 2: vision for Club His Hop Las Vegas. And I pray
- 51:23Speaker 2: that that door is not closed forever.
- 51:28Speaker 4: Right.
- 51:29Speaker 2: Do not wait until consequences arrive. Don't wait until you
- 51:33Speaker 2: lose what? You took for granted. Do not lose what
- 51:44Speaker 2: you are taking for granted right now. What are you
- 51:47Speaker 2: taking for granted? Amen. Hear the word of the Lord
- 51:51Speaker 2: while you still have time to respond. Now that brings
- 52:00Speaker 2: us to the end of a powerful chapter.
- 52:03Speaker 6: We've seen.
- 52:07Speaker 2: God confront corrupt leaders, exploitation, pride, misplaced trust, prosperity without obedience,
- 52:20Speaker 2: and finally, the removal of a king. And the message
- 52:31Speaker 2: throughout the chapter has been consistent, right? God cares about
- 52:35Speaker 2: how We use what he gives us. So do not
- 52:43Speaker 2: take your position for granted. Don't take your family for granted.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Don't take your ministry for granted. Don't take your platform
- 52:52Speaker 2: for granted. Don't take God's patience for granted. Whatever God
- 53:00Speaker 2: has placed in your hands, steward it well. Amen. Make
- 53:09Speaker 2: sure you are faithful, even in the small things. I
- 53:15Speaker 2: just want to give a shout out on this podcast.
- 53:20Speaker 2: We're on our way to church, me and my son,
- 53:23Speaker 2: Royal Blue, and we ran over a bolt that was
- 53:27Speaker 2: just lodged into our tire. I'm thinking that this boat
- 53:32Speaker 2: will stay in the tire and I can drive all
- 53:34Speaker 2: the way from Henderson in North Las Vegas with this
- 53:38Speaker 2: thing in my tire and then deal with it later
- 53:41Speaker 2: because I had to go and open up the church.
- 53:45Speaker 2: But that was an unwise decision. It ended up getting
- 53:49Speaker 2: a flat. Of course, that thing that was lodged into
- 53:55Speaker 2: the tire flew out. And then we had to get
- 53:59Speaker 2: off on Las Vegas Boulevard across Bonanza. And we were
- 54:05Speaker 2: stuck in front of the Segal Suites in that area.
- 54:10Speaker 2: If anyone knows that area, you know, that's a rough area.
- 54:13Speaker 2: There was a lot of homeless people there. There's a
- 54:16Speaker 2: lot of people living in those apartments. Those are temporary apartments,
- 54:20Speaker 2: a lot of drug abuse, a lot of people dying
- 54:24Speaker 2: in that area. But And so it happened. God blessed
- 54:29Speaker 2: us to run into a mechanic that was living over there.
- 54:33Speaker 2: He comes running out with his jack. You know, he says,
- 54:36Speaker 2: give me twenty dollars and I hope you change his
- 54:38Speaker 2: tire because, you know, I have my suit on. I
- 54:40Speaker 2: have my Sunday Sunday clothes on. So you want me
- 54:44Speaker 2: to get dirty and stuff like that? And brother came out,
- 54:49Speaker 2: you know, we were talking about it and the way
- 54:52Speaker 2: I dressed and everything. People knew I was going to church.
- 54:56Speaker 2: They asked if I was a minister. People started talking
- 55:00Speaker 2: about God just, you know, just showing up there. God
- 55:04Speaker 2: covered us and protected us. And I just want to
- 55:06Speaker 2: praise God that this man came out to help us
- 55:11Speaker 2: change this tire. I gave him a 20. I got
- 55:15Speaker 2: his phone number and I'm praying that God will open
- 55:18Speaker 2: up a door for us to go and minister back
- 55:23Speaker 2: in that area. So keep that in prayer. I just
- 55:29Speaker 2: want to share what God has done and what God
- 55:32Speaker 2: is always doing. He's always faithful. So as we sign out,
- 55:38Speaker 2: I'm going to sign out like I always do. Remember,
- 55:41Speaker 2: it's not about us. It's all about the Christ in us.
- 55:44Speaker 2: God bless y'all.
- 56:00Speaker 4: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
