- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello and welcome back to the Spiritual Shit Show, where we hold space for the messy, magical and deeply tender human experience of becoming who we truly are.
- 0:26Speaker 1: This morning I had one of those moments.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You know the kind that when you're moving through your day and suddenly you realize, oh my God, I have really changed.
- 0:37Speaker 1: It was like that kind of aha moment where you notice how differently you're responding to something that used to totally spin you.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It is such a wild thing, it is so cool to experience and witness your own growth, because the change isn't always big and flashy, it's usually subtle, it's a soft awareness that who you were is not who you are right now.
- 1:02Speaker 1: And I want to talk about that because many if you're here, many of us are really into the spiritual and self-development growth, and what I'm realizing is that we have to allow the work to work and part of the growth is seeing and witnessing.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Witnessing, dang, I am changing, I am becoming, I am evolving, and so that's where I want to begin today.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Over the weekend I caught myself being stubborn, and I mean stubborn.
- 1:38Speaker 1: It came out in this moment of resistance where I just did not want to be told what to do.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I felt out of control, I did begin to spin a little bit and, honestly, in the past many people have called me stubborn and hotheaded and rigid, and all those times that I have been called that, I'm like wait me, no way, I am not rigid, I am not stubborn, I am not so strong headed, I am fluid and I am happy and I am joyful and I love freedom.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And yet here it was this part of me which I guess I've seen.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I just didn't want to acknowledge it, but I know that there is this part of me that digs in its heels, that flares up when it feels controlled, and instead of brushing it off or shaming it, this time I got curious.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Why is this a part of me?
- 2:35Speaker 1: When did this part of me form and, most importantly, what is it protecting?
- 2:44Speaker 1: And, most importantly, what is it protecting?
- 2:46Speaker 1: When I began to ask myself these questions, oh my gosh, what I found.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It was just so tender.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I was able to trace it back to my childhood.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I remembered how, as a little girl, my nervous system adapted to a house that didn't always feel safe.
- 3:01Speaker 1: There wasn't overt chaos, but there was subtle abuse, emotional undercurrents that were hard to name at the time, but very much there and very much felt.
- 3:14Speaker 1: And so I learned how to float above it all.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I dissociated, I lived like I was inside a snow globe watching life, but not fully in it.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And in that snow globe I learned that having a strong opinion gave me a sense of control.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Being stubborn created distance.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It protected me from disappointment, from vulnerability, from being too close to the unpredictable.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Having strong opinions became a social power.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I like her, I don't like her.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I like that, I don't like that.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It was kind of like this typical mean girl dynamic that I had inside of me, and underneath that, I realized, was just still little Julie trying to position herself, to be seen, to be seen, to be heard, to be safe.
- 4:19Speaker 1: And honestly, that's what we're all trying to do To be seen, to be safe, to be loved.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And here is what I know now.
- 4:35Speaker 1: These patterns, these parts, these old protection mechanisms they served a purpose.
- 4:42Speaker 1: They helped me survive, but I am not in survival mode anymore and now I get to choose.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I get to live from a different place.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I want to say this clearly Healing isn't about fixing what's broken.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It's about loving what once wasn't safe to love.
- 5:08Speaker 1: It's about remembering the parts we've hidden, pushed away or judged.
- 5:16Speaker 1: They were just doing their best to protect us.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And now I get to gently retire those parts, with gratitude, with compassion, because I no longer need to be ruled by outdated strategies from my past.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And I'm going to say that one more time because it just feels so powerful I no longer need to be ruled by outdated strategies from my past.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And that brings me to a message that I channeled for myself this morning.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It just felt like such a beautiful, sacred whisper from the soul.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And before I begin sharing that message, I just hope that whoever is hearing this, that this message is meant for you as well, that this message is meant for you as well.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So here we go.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Love is the goal, because love is light.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Light is the highest frequency there, is the highest note sung in the universe.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Love is the thread from which your life was spun.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Tether into this, tether into love, the light of love.
- 6:42Speaker 1: When you allow yourself to radiate so brightly, when you let yourself illuminate the old parts, the shadow begins to dissolve, not from effort, but from light, from truth.
- 6:59Speaker 1: The self-healing journey can become a rabbit hole.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You can spend a lifetime healing from dot, dot dot.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I am healing, I am healing, I am healing, dot dot, I am healing, I am healing, I am healing.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Or you can spend a lifetime living through it, simply living, living in joy, living in adventure, living in play, living in laughter, and you get to choose.
- 7:38Speaker 1: We hope you let yourself be happy and when you allow yourself to radiate in love, your purpose is to be of loving service to others.
- 7:53Speaker 1: It becomes so clear.
- 8:02Speaker 1: The veil is lifting now, the earth is changing and a great choosing is upon us.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Will you choose love or fear?
- 8:12Speaker 1: You choose love or fear, light or suffering, hope or hopelessness.
- 8:23Speaker 1: A new earth is birthing and you are its creator.
- 8:27Speaker 1: So come back to love, tether in to love, connect to Christ consciousness and remember the powerful light that you are.
- 8:40Speaker 1: So that's where I'm at this morning, in awe of how tender it all is at this morning, in awe of how tender it all is, in deep gratitude for the journey and with a soft, open heart for the woman that I have become.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I hope something in this episode resonates with you wherever you are on your path, and maybe today you'll take a moment to honor just how far you have come, to see yourself, to soften toward the parts of you that once felt unlovable, because the truth is, you are so loved.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You always have been.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Thanks for being here, thanks for listening and, as always, I'll see you next time.
