Transcript
- 0:00Kanye West dropped his latest album today, or his latest song,
- 0:04which was Hail Hitler. What does that mean?
- 0:06My name is Brandon Fogle. This is Evolution. We're going to dive into this fairly
- 0:10quickly, just because Kanye West is very interesting to me and his whole kind
- 0:16of the way he's been kind of tumbling out of control has been,
- 0:20it's been interesting to watch.
- 0:22It's been tough because he came out as a Christian about eight years ago or
- 0:27whenever that was and embraced Christ,
- 0:30and it feels like the spiral out of control is very tough to watch.
- 0:37Now, I'm going to show a short clip of, Michael Knowles talked about this on
- 0:42his show, and what he deduced from what has happened is Kanye is,
- 0:47he's saying the most extreme things possible,
- 0:51and once we've reached this limit,
- 0:54where can we even go from here, from where we are at?
- 1:00The escalation of where he started and it seemed like everything was going good
- 1:05for him. And there was a lot of personal things in his life.
- 1:08And it seems like after his marriage broke up, it seems that a lot of things went out of control.
- 1:14And you could tell how he starts off this song because he's,
- 1:17he's, he's not in a right state of mind.
- 1:21He's not in a right state of mind, but he's also a person that is brilliant.
- 1:26If you really look at Kanye West, he is almost by definition a genius in a lot of ways.
- 1:32A billionaire, a person that has artistic skills that are just out of this world,
- 1:40and the things he's able to create, and the way that he's able to grab attention,
- 1:46is nothing short of spectacular, but he's almost using all of that great ability
- 1:52that he has, God-given ability,
- 1:54and he's going towards hail Hitler, which is very tough to watch, very tough to see.
- 2:01This is Michael Knowles. He's going to talk about as the escalation of where
- 2:06you start, if you are watching politics just for a dopamine rush,
- 2:11this is the pinnacle of where we could go by saying hail Hitler.
- 2:17You know, even you think about political commentary. 15 years ago,
- 2:21if someone said, I support the Constitution, I want to cut taxes, that was extreme.
- 2:25Then five years ago, if someone said, I don't know, I don't think a man can
- 2:28be a woman, that was extreme.
- 2:29Now this is all blasé stuff. People need more. If you are engaging with politics,
- 2:34not to be civically engaged and to advance the common good, if you're just engaging
- 2:39in it for a dopamine hit, as many people do,
- 2:42then this is it. Now you've reached the end of the road.
- 2:46Ninjas are my ninjas are nazis heil hitler that's the end of the road there's
- 2:50no there's no more extreme thing you can possibly say there's no no more incoherent
- 2:55thing you can possibly say,
- 2:57there can be no coherence to this at all as kanye admits
- 3:00off the top of the show he says i'm not being coherent i'm
- 3:03just pure wrath right now i'm a
- 3:06villain i'm the bad guy i'm gonna say something craziest least coherent thing
- 3:09you can possibly say and that's the end of it so where do you go from there
- 3:12where is kanye gonna go from here and i i think about whenever he first came
- 3:17out as a christian and then he had presidential aspirations he wanted that to be a part of his.
- 3:25Journey then things just kind of just fell off and he just started embracing
- 3:31nazism and going on alex jones show that was just crazy seeing him on there
- 3:37he was wearing all just all that black,
- 3:39uniform is covering his face and just expressing these things about sympathy,
- 3:46sympathies for Nazism, sympathies for anti-Semitism, sympathies for,
- 3:51because I mean, what it's, it's so tough because he's such a good artist and
- 3:57such a good singer, a rapper, and this song that he released and it's being called.
- 4:04Stifled in a lot of ways on a lot of platforms. It's a, a extremely catchy song
- 4:11and it's going to, or I feel like it's going to permeate our, our society.
- 4:17It's going to be in everything, you know, and it's tough not to listen to it
- 4:20because it sounds really good.
- 4:22And the whole thing where it's put together, but the message, he starts it off.
- 4:27If you, if you listen to everything he says at the beginning,
- 4:29he just says, I am, I've lost everything.
- 4:32I'm out of my mind. I'm saying something wild and crazy.
- 4:35This is where I'm at. This is what everyone's done to me. This is how I,
- 4:39I'm, you're seeing it all for everyone's seeing it for all to see.
- 4:42And he's saying the craziest thing possible.
- 4:46I hope, I hope Kanye changes course, but I don't, it's tough to where he's going.
- 4:53Something dramatic would have to change for the direction he's heading and where
- 4:58he's leading a lot of people.
- 4:59So this is just food for thought. I want to talk more about this because this
- 5:03is very interesting to me.
- 5:05And is Hitler going to become a glorified figure in our nation?
- 5:13Is that possible? He's been the devil for so long.
- 5:16Is this something that's going to bring Hitler as someone that people look up to?
- 5:21A scary thought. All right, we'll leave it at that.
