- 0:12Fast forward. Now we're on a Monday. Dr. E, we got to talk about something that happened to me.
- 0:19It transpired in the parking lot of the ShopRite Plaza where I was looking for a parking.
- 0:26I went to turn, and I oversaw a woman park into a handicap sticker,
- 0:33I mean, sorry, into a handicap parking,
- 0:35which she had a sticker for, only to be met by another handicapped person who
- 0:41laid down the horn. You'll never believe what happens next.
- 0:45Have faith, let it begin. Starts right now.
- 0:48Have faith, let it begin. When it starts right now.
- 0:52Music.
- 0:55Welcome to Have Faith. Let it begin. Here's your host, Angel Santana.
- 1:01Ariel, can you say, have faith? Let it begin. Let it begin? Let it begin. Say, have faith.
- 1:10Let it begin. Let it begin. No. No? No? Okay. Hi, Noah. Noah! Noah!
- 1:18Oh, Jesus. Happy birthday, Noah! Okay, then. I'm doing amazing. Can you just get us that?
- 1:25No. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it. Try.
- 1:31This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it. Try.
- 1:35This little light of. My. I'm gonna let it. Try. Let it. Try. Let it.
- 1:42Try. Let it. Try. Yeah.
- 1:47Dang, I'm so excited. But I have one question. What's your question?
- 1:51Are you going to be a pastor or a minister?
- 1:54Good question. I don't know, but it is all in God's hands. Good morning.
- 1:58You're listening to Have Faith Let It Begin, and it starts right now.
- 2:04Hello, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith Let It Begin.
- 2:06It is a Monday. It is Christmas Eve, Eve, and Dr. E is back.
- 2:11Listen, we got to get into it.
- 2:13Dr. E, happy holidays. Merry Christmas.
- 2:16Are you ready for this doozy? oh i can't wait
- 2:18and i'm actually can't wait for uh the candy cane episode
- 2:21on have faith let it begin that's like my favorite episode of
- 2:25the year uh but i'm i'm wondering if we're gonna
- 2:27have like wheelchair wars coming up are we
- 2:30gonna have like a battle like like with two wheelchairs coming
- 2:34at each other with their you know with the what with jousting with their big
- 2:38poles and knocking This is a crazy story And I do not Recommend anyone do what
- 2:47I did But here we go So the woman parks in,
- 2:51The guy with his wife lays down the horn. I mean, I'm talking the horn.
- 2:59It was there. It must have been 40 seconds.
- 3:05Now, here's the problem. When she parked,
- 3:09he is purposely now right behind her, but in an angle, which prevents me from.
- 3:17Getting into that area so that I can park elsewhere.
- 3:21So much now that neither the
- 3:25side of the traffic from each direction can go anywhere
- 3:28because he is a still honking
- 3:31the horn b trying to
- 3:34get the attention of the young lady who is clearly a little
- 3:37hard of hearing because she didn't realize he
- 3:40had laid the horn down until she came out of
- 3:42the car and that's when she realized the gentleman
- 3:46was yelling at her and using
- 3:49profanity and what i was hearing because
- 3:52i obviously i turned my window down he was
- 3:55claiming that that was the spot that he always parked
- 3:58in but it was clear that the woman a
- 4:02did not see that he had put his signal light on but
- 4:05guess what he couldn't have claimed it because she
- 4:08was parking from the front of him and not
- 4:12from a different angle so she didn't steal the parking he
- 4:15just wanted his do you want to
- 4:18know what happens next i hope that you
- 4:21brought him the lord angel well
- 4:24i decided because i had my son with me it would
- 4:27be in my best interest to not get involved so i put i pulled around and i figured
- 4:33it would be over but i overheard the woman say i am so sorry if you want i would
- 4:39be more than happy to trade and get out of the spot the guys just started yelling
- 4:44she He ignored him and went into the store.
- 4:46It just so happens that the store that she went into was the same store that I was going into.
- 4:52And she looked frazzled. She looked upset. She looked distracted.
- 4:56She looked as if she couldn't even complete her shopping or pick up her prescription.
- 5:01I began to pray for her. But this is where it actually turns for the worst.
- 5:07As I leave the store, she was still in there. And as I was getting ready to
- 5:12go to my spot, I noticed that the gentleman was still parked with the car on,
- 5:18with the blinker on, awaiting his spot.
- 5:21Yes, he didn't move.
- 5:24So I got into my car, I warmed it up, and I figured I'd stay and watch the rest.
- 5:31What did I see next? The gentleman got out of his car, and I thought he was
- 5:34going to key that woman's car.
- 5:36No, he decided to go to another person who was parked into a handicap sticker
- 5:41spot and walk up to their window.
- 5:43And you can see him gesturing, get out of the spot.
- 5:47That person, out of fear, decided it was time to leave.
- 5:51As he was pulling into the spot, he started to have a smile,
- 5:55but an angry smile. That's when
- 5:58I got in my car, drove up very slowly past him, and opened up my window.
- 6:03I looked at him and I said, sir, you seem like you could use a prayer.
- 6:09He looked at me with such anger and looked at me and said, mind your own business.
- 6:14To which I replied, no, this is my business.
- 6:19I am going to pray for you because you have a lot of anger, son.
- 6:22And out of respect for my elders, I will not disrespect you.
- 6:27Like you respect, disrespected the last woman.
- 6:30Let us pray. He looked at me out of anger and said, pray all you want.
- 6:36I'm always angry. And I drove away.
- 6:40There's a message here. Help me. And the message is this.
- 6:44There's a lot of anger happening right now in this world. There's a lot of people that are upset.
- 6:48We don't know what transpired to this gentleman. So I'm not going to label him the villain.
- 6:53What I am going to say is there are a lot of us that need prayer.
- 6:57There are a lot of us that are dealing with a lot of things.
- 6:59And if you heard yesterday's episode on the Crock podcast, Citizens Reunited
- 7:04to Overcome Cancer, you will hear a remarkable story about a miracle that took place.
- 7:10It's about a woman named Mary. And no, I'm not talking about the Mary,
- 7:15but she comes pretty close.
- 7:17And to hear her story and then to actually come back
- 7:20and then label this story as the man who
- 7:23thought the parking spot was his only to reject the prayer reminded me of what
- 7:30we are dealing with in this world dr e as a doctor i know you see it too i know
- 7:36you're seeing a lot of anger this is the time of year that we need to come together wouldn't you agree.
- 7:41Absolutely. And then reactivity and anger. Angel is not, you know,
- 7:45sadly is, is operative in all of us. It's part of our human stain.
- 7:51I, as a soon to be 65 year old person.
- 7:55So I'm officially going to be in, in a, a senior citizen.
- 8:00I can say that in my entire life of the thousands and thousands of times that
- 8:06I've gotten angry or reactive, I can tell you that I have never had one episode that I've been proud of.
- 8:15And even Jesus had one episode of what was called righteous anger when he got
- 8:21angry at the peddlers at the temple that were trying to sell their wares.
- 8:27And he went in and disrupted the tables and things. And that's different.
- 8:32That's righteous anger, that's different.
- 8:34But I don't know, you know, I know that all of us are human.
- 8:39So we don't have that righteous anger and we have instead the other.
- 8:43So I think that the moral of the story from my perspective is that everyone
- 8:47out there who's listening and all of our half faith family, you know,
- 8:52every, the next time using this Christmas week is especially as an inspiration to us.
- 8:57Let's try to take a breath. The next time something angers us and next time
- 9:02we become reactive, just create some space and really, really investigate and
- 9:09look within ourselves to see if it's really worth it.
- 9:12And I think that in honor of the birth of our Lord, I think the answer will be no.
- 9:18Yeah. And just a last minute thing before I go into prayer, I want to remind each of every one of you.
- 9:24You know, we're living also in an era where you got to be careful too.
- 9:27And I realized that after, you know, I said, man, you know, you don't know if the guy has a gun.
- 9:33And I say that respectfully, you know, I, I, I gotta be careful and I gotta choose my time.
- 9:38I didn't have to really open my window and say something. What I just should
- 9:42have done. What we can all do is just pray about it. And I will do that in the future.
- 9:45But in honor of the story and honor of the Citizens United to overcome cancer.
- 9:50Dr. E and I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of
- 9:55our listeners a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
- 9:59We will return for the brand new seasons and brand new years coming up.
- 10:04The story of the candy cane will be around.
- 10:07Citizens United to overcome cancer returns in two weeks and we will have more
- 10:12and more episodes to give you and I will continue on as well.
- 10:16So let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you for all that you give us,
- 10:19the amazing stories, the miracles.
- 10:22We thank you for the ability to come together on this holy week.
- 10:25And we ask all of our people to remember that as we celebrate the birth of Jesus
- 10:32Christ, we also have to remember there are other people out there that will
- 10:37celebrate other holidays.
- 10:39Like our Jewish friends, we celebrate Hanukkah and we honor and respect all
- 10:45the religions out there that have different beliefs.
- 10:48May all of us come together, unite as one, and may God bless each and every
- 10:53one of us every single day.
- 10:55On behalf of all of us here, never forget, faith let it begin there, baby. Merry Christmas.
- 11:01Merry Christmas, Noah. Bye-bye. Say Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.
- 11:06Join us tomorrow for the annual tradition of the story of the candy Cain,
- 11:11led and hosted by the man himself, Santa Claus.
- 11:17It'll air tomorrow morning at 7 a.m.
- 11:19Music.
