- 0:00Speaker 1: Before we get out of here, Junior, you had a
- 0:01Speaker 1: question for Steve.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Well, how you define happiness right now? At
- 0:07Speaker 2: your age? What's the happiness for you? Now? Wow, it's
- 0:11Speaker 2: a good question. Wow, that's a really good question. I
- 0:16Speaker 2: don't yeah, because you know, man, I don't really I
- 0:20Speaker 2: don't even know that I'm seeking happiness. You know, I'm
- 0:25Speaker 2: happy in my marriage. I'm happy that I found the
- 0:29Speaker 2: right person that I can live my life with. And
- 0:32Speaker 2: even when we have challenges, man, we know how to
- 0:34Speaker 2: work through them now. We've learned so much about that.
- 0:37Speaker 2: So I'm happy that I finally found the right person.
- 0:41Speaker 2: As far as what makes me happy, it's the simplest
- 0:47Speaker 2: things that will bring me. But I don't know if
- 0:50Speaker 2: I'm actually trying to be happy more than I am
- 0:52Speaker 2: for joy, because I've stopped trying to have fun because
- 0:57Speaker 2: fun is manufactured to me to go do something to
- 1:01Speaker 2: have fun. To have joy is an internal peace and
- 1:06Speaker 2: internal relaxation and internalized thought of tranquility. So I seek
- 1:14Speaker 2: joy more than I do happiness, because happiness is fleeting,
- 1:17Speaker 2: you know, happy, happy, happy. You see somebody smiling, laughing, happy, happy, happy,
- 1:22Speaker 2: that's fleeting. So I don't even know that I seek
- 1:26Speaker 2: happiness anymore, I think more and so for me, Junior,
- 1:29Speaker 2: it would be joy. Try to I like that inner peace.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I like when things are going along even And you
- 1:38Speaker 2: know what's crazy, man, since I've started thinking this way,
- 1:42Speaker 2: what's actually happened is even when things are going wrong,
- 1:48Speaker 2: because I pray a different way, I ask God for
- 1:51Speaker 2: his presence to be close to me. You know, I'm
- 1:54Speaker 2: a believer in the Holy Trinity, right, I believe in
- 1:56Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit. I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe
- 1:58Speaker 2: in God Almighty. And so when I asked the Holy
- 2:02Speaker 2: Spirit to be with me today, to reside in me,
- 2:05Speaker 2: and I open up my heart to that. And I'm
- 2:08Speaker 2: a follower of the teachings of Christ, and I know
- 2:12Speaker 2: there's a God. Then what I've done is I open
- 2:16Speaker 2: up myself to his presence, which is peace. His presence
- 2:19Speaker 2: is peace, so even when things are going wrong, he
- 2:23Speaker 2: covers me with his peace. I give you a prime example.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I have a person that works for me who loves
- 2:29Speaker 2: to bring me bad news, thinking they're telling me something
- 2:32Speaker 2: to make me work. And she came to me and
- 2:34Speaker 2: she said, mister Harvey, have you seen this about you?
- 2:37Speaker 2: On the Internet, and I said no. She said it's bad,
- 2:40Speaker 2: It is really bad, and I just stopped her. I said, okay,
- 2:44Speaker 2: just send it to my lawyer. She said, you don't
- 2:46Speaker 2: want to see it now. I don't have to if
- 2:48Speaker 2: I hadn't seen it now and it hasn't been bad
- 2:52Speaker 2: for me. Now, why would I put that in my spirit?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Why would I do that. It's a whole lot of
- 2:59Speaker 2: stuff out there about me that's not true. But you know,
- 3:02Speaker 2: being having this relationship with God, he covers me. He
- 3:06Speaker 2: protects me in a peace where it has no effect
- 3:09Speaker 2: on me. And what I try to get other people
- 3:12Speaker 2: to understand is you have to understand what that Internet is.
- 3:16Speaker 2: It finally has given a voice to people who don't
- 3:19Speaker 2: really need a voice, and people who don't even have
- 3:23Speaker 2: should have a say. So in your life. Stop giving
- 3:27Speaker 2: permission to people to affect your day who you don't
- 3:32Speaker 2: even like or know. Stop letting people do that to you.
- 3:36Speaker 2: What them trollers are saying about me, what them haters
- 3:40Speaker 2: is out there saying about me, It doesn't matter. Man.
- 3:44Speaker 2: God has covered me, fully covered and protected me. I
- 3:48Speaker 2: don't have to go on this radio show or online
- 3:51Speaker 2: to come back. None of that, None of it. Man,
- 3:55Speaker 2: It took me a minute to get like this. But
- 3:58Speaker 2: because of my relationship with God and this ever presence
- 4:02Speaker 2: peace that He provides for me. Do you know, man,
- 4:05Speaker 2: that that can be. It's like sitting in the eye
- 4:08Speaker 2: of a hurricane or a tornado. It can be swirling
- 4:12Speaker 2: all around you, but if you stay right in the center,
- 4:15Speaker 2: you ain't even affected by it. So it's not happiness
- 4:18Speaker 2: that I seek. Now. Do I get to have some
- 4:20Speaker 2: happy moments? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, But I'm seeking joy.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I'm seeking peace in my life and for one of
- 4:29Speaker 2: the first time, for extended periods, even when things are
- 4:33Speaker 2: going wrong, I have a uncommon peace because I've been
- 4:39Speaker 2: afforded his uncommon grace and favor. What God has done
- 4:44Speaker 2: for me, man, is unbelievable. And the more I stop
- 4:49Speaker 2: and realize what God has done for me, and the
- 4:53Speaker 2: more gratitude I show for that, the more relaxed I got.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Because if He's done this for me, the but he
- 5:01Speaker 2: wakes me up continually, which is a sign that he
- 5:05Speaker 2: ain't through with you yet, then, oh my God, what
- 5:11Speaker 2: else does he have in store for you? Have y'all
- 5:14Speaker 2: ever thought about that? Think about what you used to
- 5:17Speaker 2: be what you used to have, and think about all
- 5:19Speaker 2: that you have now and who you are today. And
- 5:22Speaker 2: God was there the whole time with you, and he
- 5:25Speaker 2: waking you up. And you finna get some mo what man,
- 5:30Speaker 2: that ought to make everybody feel better? You ought to
- 5:33Speaker 2: feel better? And look, man, some I learned something else too.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Comparison is the greatest thief of joy. Comparison is the
- 5:43Speaker 2: greatest thief of joy. You will lose all your joy
- 5:47Speaker 2: of who you have, who you are, and what you
- 5:50Speaker 2: have if you constantly comparing yourself to somebody else. Get
- 5:55Speaker 2: off line, looking at all in fake lies. Show some
- 5:59Speaker 2: gratitude for one God has given to you. Man, it
- 6:02Speaker 2: would make your day go a whole lot better. Gratit.
- 6:05Speaker 2: A comparison is the greatest thief of joy. I make
- 6:10Speaker 2: no comparisons. My life with Tyler Perry, my life with Denzel,
- 6:13Speaker 2: my life with Samuel, my life with will Smith, my
- 6:17Speaker 2: life with I don't care. I don't care what they have. Man,
- 6:20Speaker 2: It's all good, y'all, good brothers. Congratulations. I'm grateful for
- 6:25Speaker 2: the life you have gave me. And if they look
- 6:27Speaker 2: at us, it's pretty good. Have yourself a great thing,
- 6:31Speaker 2: Show some gratitude. Talk to God today. He would absolutely
- 6:35Speaker 2: love to hear Frederick.
