- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the Mark Simon Show on seven tenor Hey,
- 0:08Speaker 1: we're gonna let you get to mayoral race. A lot
- 0:10Speaker 1: of developments. We'll get to the mayoral race in a second.
- 0:13Speaker 1: The President, Uh, well, we'll get to his new ballroom.
- 0:17Speaker 1: The Democrats that Trump derangement syndrome just never stops. They're
- 0:20Speaker 1: opposed to everything. The President also announcing he's gonna forgive
- 0:24Speaker 1: student loans. Now, you're probably saying, wait a minute, that
- 0:29Speaker 1: was Biden's big thing, for giving the student loans. That
- 0:32Speaker 1: was a big that was Biden's main campaign thing, and
- 0:36Speaker 1: why would Trump steal that. Watch he's gonna forgive student loans.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Watch the same Democrats now yell and scream it's unconstitutional.
- 0:45Speaker 1: They'll take them to court, they'll try to block them.
- 0:47Speaker 1: They'll tell him you can't do this, it's unethical, it's
- 0:50Speaker 1: unheard of. Well, the same exact thing. That may be
- 0:53Speaker 1: the reason he's doing it. So, uh, we'll get to
- 0:56Speaker 1: the let's get right to the mayoral race.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Now.
- 0:58Speaker 1: The debate is tomorrow night. This is the final debate
- 1:01Speaker 1: tomorrow night. This is the final chapter of the mayoral
- 1:05Speaker 1: race tomorrow night. Unfortunately it's on New York One, which
- 1:08Speaker 1: nobody sees, but it'll be online. Hopefully it will be
- 1:13Speaker 1: seen by a lot of people online YouTube all that stuff.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Tomorrow is the final debate. Now here's an important thing
- 1:19Speaker 1: you should know. The whole narrative for the week is
- 1:24Speaker 1: that Curtis has to get out because if he gets out,
- 1:27Speaker 1: Cuomo and Mamdami are tied. Now, why would we think
- 1:30Speaker 1: such a crazy thing. Well, it's all based on this
- 1:33Speaker 1: poll that was released yesterday. This poll that came out
- 1:37Speaker 1: that said if it was just the two of them,
- 1:39Speaker 1: Cuomo and Mamdani, why they would be tied. Well, I
- 1:44Speaker 1: told you yesterday it was very suspicious of that poll.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You know, these public polls are cheap, little flimsy things.
- 1:49Speaker 1: But it turns out this one, it's basically done by
- 1:53Speaker 1: the Cuomo campaign. It's run by a lobbyists who are very, very,
- 1:59Speaker 1: very big Cuomo supporters. So don't try I'm hearing this
- 2:04Speaker 1: from all kinds of people. Do not trust that pole.
- 2:07Speaker 1: It is Cuomo, his buddies is lobbyists. They're the ones
- 2:10Speaker 1: that ran the pole. I wouldn't trust it for a second.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Curtis is under heavy, heavy pressure to get out from
- 2:19Speaker 1: the President of the United States, to anybody. You can
- 2:21Speaker 1: imagine New York Post, huge editorial saying he must get
- 2:26Speaker 1: out of the race, New York Times, big editorial that
- 2:31Speaker 1: he must get out of the race. Now again, this
- 2:34Speaker 1: is all based on this poll from yesterday that why
- 2:37Speaker 1: if he was out of the race, it would be
- 2:39Speaker 1: a tie Cuomo Mondan again, don't trust that pole. It's
- 2:42Speaker 1: basically put out by the Cuomo campaign. Don't trust that pole.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I wouldn't. I wouldn't trust it for a second. So,
- 2:53Speaker 1: just knowing Curtis, he will not get out of the race.
- 2:55Speaker 1: He's never quit ever, ever, ever. You could try to
- 2:58Speaker 1: pressure him out of the race, and everybody and anybody
- 3:01Speaker 1: is pressuring him, from the President to everybody he knows.
- 3:05Speaker 1: The other day I saw Curtis somewhere. I went tover
- 3:07Speaker 1: say I got to talk to you, and he said,
- 3:09Speaker 1: you're not gonna try to bribe me too. I said, no, no, no, no,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I just gotta talk to you about something. So everybody
- 3:15Speaker 1: is pressuring him. Now, you can't pressure Curtis to do anything.
- 3:19Speaker 1: And Curtis, I know the guy for a million years.
- 3:22Speaker 1: He'd never ever ever quits. He's not a quitter. He
- 3:25Speaker 1: always finishes what he started. He doesn't quit. Remember when
- 3:29Speaker 1: he was going after the mob. Just take this as
- 3:31Speaker 1: an example of how much this guy can stand up
- 3:34Speaker 1: to pressure. Remember million years back in the nineties, he's
- 3:37Speaker 1: going after the mob, and he's naming mobsters and he's
- 3:40Speaker 1: attacking him on there, and he was right, but he's
- 3:42Speaker 1: going after them. They decide to beat him to a pulp.
- 3:46Speaker 1: They send like four guys with baseball bats who just
- 3:49Speaker 1: beat him to a pulp. He's in the hospital for
- 3:51Speaker 1: a long time. Second he's out, he's right back on
- 3:54Speaker 1: the air attacking the same mob, the same mob. Family
- 3:57Speaker 1: is the same mob. It doesn't stop him. He just
- 4:00Speaker 1: kept going. Then they ambush him, try to assassinate him.
- 4:04Speaker 1: They get a taxi cab. They study his routine. They
- 4:07Speaker 1: know when he comes out to get in the cab,
- 4:09Speaker 1: and they bring their cab. They get him in the
- 4:11Speaker 1: back of this cab. They shoot him five times, and
- 4:15Speaker 1: he's like the Godfather in the movie five bullets and
- 4:17Speaker 1: he survives, gets shot five times and he survives. And
- 4:21Speaker 1: what does he do from his hospital? Betty starts attacking
- 4:24Speaker 1: the same mom the same guys. You can't pressure him,
- 4:28Speaker 1: nothing will pressure him. He does not back down. So
- 4:32Speaker 1: stop trying to get him out of the race. If
- 4:34Speaker 1: you're all for Andrew Cuomo, fine, but Cuomo will have
- 4:37Speaker 1: to find his own voters. He can't go take try
- 4:40Speaker 1: to take Republican voters. This is this whole problem, this
- 4:44Speaker 1: whole crazy scenario, This Mom Donnie could be mayor. This
- 4:47Speaker 1: whole crazy problem was caused by Andrew Cuomo. He chased
- 4:53Speaker 1: Eric Adams out of the Democratic primary. Now, had Adams
- 4:59Speaker 1: been in the Democratic he might have had a shot
- 5:01Speaker 1: in those debates against Mam Donni, who knows, but it
- 5:04Speaker 1: ended up just being basically the Democratic primary was Cuomo
- 5:08Speaker 1: Mam Donni, and Cuomo stunk in the debates. He got
- 5:12Speaker 1: wiped out in both debates. The first debate, Mom Donni
- 5:16Speaker 1: just crushed him. So a couple of weeks later they
- 5:19Speaker 1: armed Cuomo with all sorts of things to hit Mam Donnie,
- 5:21Speaker 1: with all sorts of clever things to say. He had
- 5:23Speaker 1: a whole bunch of memorized line. Every time he hit
- 5:26Speaker 1: Mam Donni with one, Mom Donnie just pounded him into
- 5:29Speaker 1: the ground. Cuomo's a bad debater, He's not good at it.
- 5:33Speaker 1: And Mam Donnie, who it would probably be the worst
- 5:36Speaker 1: mayor ever, but he is a good debater, and he's
- 5:39Speaker 1: a fast talker, and he's very smart in a debate,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and so he beat Cuomo badly. In both debates. Cuomo
- 5:46Speaker 1: lost the primary, really lost. Had nothing to do with
- 5:49Speaker 1: the rank choice. He lost by I think it was
- 5:53Speaker 1: four four and thirty thousand for Mam Donnie, something like
- 5:56Speaker 1: three hundred thousand for Cuomo. Was it was a real
- 5:59Speaker 1: serious defeat. He didn't even come close to Mom Donni.
- 6:03Speaker 1: So that's how you got stuck with this guy. Had
- 6:06Speaker 1: Cuomo not chased Eric Adams out of the primary, things
- 6:08Speaker 1: might have been different. But you end up with mom Donnie.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And if you saw the first debate, Cuomo, with his
- 6:15Speaker 1: slow talking and his sing song, it was not effective
- 6:20Speaker 1: because Mam Donny talks a mile a minute. When you
- 6:22Speaker 1: talk like this, you sound like a very smart guy.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Because you're talking so fast, you must be pretty smart.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And then you get Cuomo, who talks so slow, and
- 6:29Speaker 1: he goes up and he goes down. And of course
- 6:33Speaker 1: Curtis was great in the debate. Most experts will agree
- 6:38Speaker 1: Curtis won that first debate. The question is who noticed,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I mean, anybody knows. So you got the second and
- 6:44Speaker 1: final debate tomorrow night that could decide everything, you know.
- 6:49Speaker 1: And the other thing is, I mean, who would you
- 6:51Speaker 1: really trust? Obviously not Mom Donni, but would you really
- 6:55Speaker 1: trust Cuomo in office? I know he plays the role
- 6:58Speaker 1: of some sort of Bill clint and centrist, old fashioned
- 7:01Speaker 1: sort of a Democrat. He tries to look like that.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And that's why all these big donors you know that
- 7:06Speaker 1: are running around the Bill Ackman's a pushing, pushing Cuomo.
- 7:11Speaker 1: They're the worst when it comes to politics. The big
- 7:13Speaker 1: donors always get it wrong. They fall for everything. So
- 7:16Speaker 1: they've fallen for this image of Cuomo as the centrist, mainstream,
- 7:21Speaker 1: old fashioned sort of Bill Clinton Democrat, which he's not.
- 7:24Speaker 1: When he was the governor, he was the most far
- 7:26Speaker 1: left governor we ever had. He's the guy that pushed
- 7:29Speaker 1: the no bail, no jail. He's the guy that closed prisons.
- 7:32Speaker 1: He bragged, bragged about how many prisons he closed. He's
- 7:35Speaker 1: the guy that changed the whole parole board, put all
- 7:37Speaker 1: these crazy left winging people on the parole board, that
- 7:39Speaker 1: let every criminal out. They let out forty three cop killers.
- 7:44Speaker 1: He's the guy that took away the cops overtime. He
- 7:46Speaker 1: took away the qualified immunity. Anything he'd do to hurt
- 7:49Speaker 1: the cops. He was horrible, left wing sort of a governor.
- 7:53Speaker 1: So would you trust him as mayor?
- 7:57Speaker 2: No?
- 7:57Speaker 1: I mean, who's the one person you could absolutely trust? Curtis?
- 8:00Speaker 1: You know what he is, you know what he stands for.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He hasn't changed anything. You know. You got Cuomo saying, well,
- 8:04Speaker 1: I would do it differently. I shouldn't have done easier
- 8:07Speaker 1: changing everything as is, Mom, Donnie. The only guy who's
- 8:10Speaker 1: been totally consistent and everything he says is Curtis for
- 8:14Speaker 1: about forty years. You got to absolutely trust him. Now,
- 8:16Speaker 1: President Trump trying hard, trying hard to get Curtis out
- 8:21Speaker 1: of the race.
- 8:22Speaker 3: The Mondami thing is, it's a disaster waiting to happen.
- 8:27Speaker 3: We can't have a communist in charge of a great,
- 8:30Speaker 3: supposedly free enterprise kind of a representative city. So I
- 8:35Speaker 3: think it's if you have a communist Mari, I think
- 8:38Speaker 3: it's going to be very tough for him and for
- 8:40Speaker 3: the city.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you gotta make that point tomorrow, and both
- 8:43Speaker 1: of you guys against Mom Donnie. You got to make
- 8:45Speaker 1: that point. The city is a capitalist city. That's our
- 8:48Speaker 1: main industry here in New York is capitalism. The main
- 8:52Speaker 1: industry of New York is Wall Street finance, banking. It's
- 8:57Speaker 1: a capitalist city. You can't be mayor of this city
- 9:00Speaker 1: if you don't like capitalism. It's like you can't go
- 9:03Speaker 1: to You can't be the mayor of Detroit if you
- 9:05Speaker 1: don't like automobiles. That's their main industry, cars, That's what
- 9:08Speaker 1: they do there. Here's more of Trumps. He's not a
- 9:13Speaker 1: Cuomo fan, but he just he doesn't like Curtis at all.
- 9:16Speaker 1: He's got a phobia to Curtis. It's been a love
- 9:19Speaker 1: hate relationship.
- 9:20Speaker 4: I was the only one on that stage. Difference.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Well, I'll find the clip later, but here's here's Trump
- 9:24Speaker 1: on He's pushing behind the scenes for Cuomba.
- 9:28Speaker 5: I think it's not good to have a communist, Okay,
- 9:30Speaker 5: would I rather have a Democrat than a communist? Barely
- 9:34Speaker 5: they're almost becoming the same thing. What about a Republican
- 9:37Speaker 5: Curtis Leev Well, you know, look, I mean I don't
- 9:42Speaker 5: know he's a Republican. Is he really a Republican?
- 9:45Speaker 4: You know? Am I a big fan?
- 9:47Speaker 5: This isn't exactly ideal where he wants to make Gracie
- 9:51Speaker 5: Mansion a home for the cats.
- 9:53Speaker 4: So I'll make a decision soon. I don't know. Hey,
- 9:57Speaker 4: the mayor don't know this. Three looks. I don't know
- 9:59Speaker 4: that I'm going to get involved.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Yeah, well he is very involved behind the scenes. He's
- 10:03Speaker 1: calling everybody day and night, trying to push Curtis hat,
- 10:06Speaker 1: push Cloma, and you know the arguments against Curtis. You
- 10:09Speaker 1: can't really make a policy argument against Curtis. It's impossible.
- 10:12Speaker 1: He's correct on policy. So they resort to these, Well,
- 10:16Speaker 1: the cats. I don't want to see the cats. I
- 10:17Speaker 1: hate these cats. I don't want cats in Gracie mansion.
- 10:20Speaker 1: It's a silly, superficial thing. It means nothing, does nothing
- 10:23Speaker 1: to do with anything. I mean, if Cuomo were a mayor,
- 10:27Speaker 1: you'd see all those nineteen sixties muscle cars parked all
- 10:30Speaker 1: over the driveway. I mean, who cares. It's nobody cares
- 10:33Speaker 1: if he has cats and Gracie manson or the red hat, well,
- 10:36Speaker 1: well you got to stop wearing a red beret. You
- 10:38Speaker 1: got to stop wearing you know, a guy just got
- 10:39Speaker 1: elected president wearing a red hat. You can wear a hat,
- 10:42Speaker 1: it's no big deal. So now Curtis, he's not a
- 10:48Speaker 1: Trump fan, never has been. Now that's helpful in a
- 10:51Speaker 1: New York City mayoral race because it's all very democratic city.
- 10:55Speaker 1: So the fact is you have no Trump connection. In fact,
- 10:58Speaker 1: Trump doesn't like you, you don't like him. That can
- 11:00Speaker 1: help you here in New York City.
- 11:02Speaker 6: I was the only one on that stage defending President
- 11:05Speaker 6: Donald Trump.
- 11:06Speaker 4: He was being double teamed by again the.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Architect of our destruction in New York State, Andrew Cuomo
- 11:13Speaker 6: and his apprentice Johanmandamid. They both couldn't wait to attack
- 11:17Speaker 6: Donald Trump.
- 11:18Speaker 4: I defended him in that debate.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you know the problem is Cuomo when he tries,
- 11:23Speaker 1: he's been attacking Curtis in every interview, going after Curtis
- 11:26Speaker 1: like crazy.
- 11:26Speaker 4: He's really a shock jock on local radio.
- 11:30Speaker 1: No, let me stop there. Curtis has never, for one
- 11:32Speaker 1: second been a shock jack. That's a ridiculous thing to say.
- 11:36Speaker 1: His entire career has been discussing politics, and he's been
- 11:41Speaker 1: a news talk He's never been a shockjack. It's just
- 11:43Speaker 1: an out and out live from Cuomo.
- 11:45Speaker 6: He's never been in government, he has no relevant experience,
- 11:49Speaker 6: but he does take a certain number of votes, and
- 11:54Speaker 6: to that extent.
- 11:55Speaker 4: He is a spoiler. I believe he's ultimately irrelevant.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Now you can't really call'm a spoiler. He's a major
- 12:01Speaker 1: party nominee. Cuomo was rejected by the Democrats, and Mamdani
- 12:07Speaker 1: has the Democratic nomination. Curtis was the Republican. If you're
- 12:11Speaker 1: the Republican nominee, you're a major party candidate. Cuomo then
- 12:14Speaker 1: decided to run on some third party. If you're the
- 12:18Speaker 1: third party candidate, you are technically the spoiler. So it's
- 12:20Speaker 1: actually Cuomo that is the spoiler. Now here's more a Curtis.
- 12:24Speaker 6: I've had a love hate relationship with Donald Trump that
- 12:27Speaker 6: goes back over thirty years. But I know one thing.
- 12:31Speaker 6: We have Andrew Cuomo, we have Zarn Mondami. They want
- 12:35Speaker 6: to take on Donald Trump. Look, you can be tough,
- 12:39Speaker 6: but you can't be tough if it's going to cost
- 12:41Speaker 6: people desperately needed federal funds. John Mondami, the president has
- 12:45Speaker 6: already said it's going to take seven billion dollars out
- 12:48Speaker 6: of the budget right from the start.
- 12:50Speaker 4: If you're elected mayor.
- 12:52Speaker 6: People are going to suffer in this city, people who
- 12:54Speaker 6: need those federal funds. What I would do is set
- 12:57Speaker 6: and negotiate, and if.
- 12:58Speaker 4: You try to get tough with you Trump.
- 13:01Speaker 6: The only people who are going to suffer from that
- 13:03Speaker 6: are the people of New York trup.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So the problem is all these people pushing Curtis out
- 13:08Speaker 1: of the race. If Curtis left the race, this fantasy
- 13:13Speaker 1: that all his voters would go run over to Cuomo.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Most of them are Republican voters. They're not going to Cuomo.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And there are a lot of Curtis voters who just
- 13:20Speaker 1: can't stand Andrew Cuomo. They're just they'll stay home they
- 13:24Speaker 1: want So there's this fantasy that he would get all
- 13:27Speaker 1: of Curtis's voters. It's not realistic. And again this is
- 13:31Speaker 1: all based on that poll that came out yesterday, which
- 13:33Speaker 1: is basically a poll produced by the Cuomo campaign. The
- 13:37Speaker 1: guy that runs that pole huge, huge Cuomo supporter. I
- 13:41Speaker 1: would not trust that poll at all. But now here's
- 13:47Speaker 1: more of Curtis.
- 13:49Speaker 4: But you can't beat Donald Trump.
- 13:51Speaker 6: You can't rub and bump shoulders with him and expect
- 13:54Speaker 6: to come out a winner for the people of New
- 13:56Speaker 6: York City.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Well, Donald Trump, as our.
- 13:59Speaker 6: President has always he makes his statement and then he's
- 14:02Speaker 6: willing to have his minions come and negotiate with you
- 14:06Speaker 6: and figure out what's in the best centers of New
- 14:08Speaker 6: York City.
- 14:08Speaker 4: He loves New York City. I know that having grown
- 14:11Speaker 4: up in this city myself.
- 14:13Speaker 7: You know.
- 14:13Speaker 1: And Cuomo has been using this argument. If Mandani wins,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you'll see people leaving. They're leaving New York and it'll
- 14:21Speaker 1: be u haul. Well, you got to remember, nobody caused
- 14:23Speaker 1: more people to leave New York than Cuomo when he
- 14:26Speaker 1: was governor. We had a lot. You know how many
- 14:28Speaker 1: people left New York when Cuomo was governor because of
- 14:30Speaker 1: his policies. So many people left. We lost four congressional
- 14:34Speaker 1: seats under Cuomo. Do you remember there was a year
- 14:37Speaker 1: where you couldn't get a moving van. There was such
- 14:39Speaker 1: a shortage of moving vans from people leaving.
- 14:42Speaker 8: I don't think it's I don't think those accusations are fair.
- 14:48Speaker 4: We are out there. I'm out there every day in
- 14:50Speaker 4: every community.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'm at the opening of an envelope. Yes, again, that's
- 14:55Speaker 1: not true the accusations people have been pointing out. He
- 14:59Speaker 1: hasn't been campaigning at all. You see him do some
- 15:01Speaker 1: TV interviews, but he still has not opened a campaign headquarters.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Fourteen days left of the election, he has not opened
- 15:09Speaker 1: a campaign headquarters. He hasn't made a campaign appearance. I
- 15:13Speaker 1: know he does the TV stuff, but there's no campaign
- 15:15Speaker 1: appearances in days he's Can you imagine I taken ten
- 15:18Speaker 1: days off in the last few weeks. He's done it. Hey,
- 15:22Speaker 1: we'll get to this White House Ballroom. It's an interesting
- 15:24Speaker 1: story and the opposition to it. We'll get to Gail King.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Everybody is after her. We'll get to Hey, we'll get
- 15:31Speaker 1: back to Boston Blue there's some controversy over this. It's
- 15:35Speaker 1: the sequel to Blue Blade. We've got a lot to
- 15:36Speaker 1: get to and we'll do that. Coming up. We'll take
- 15:40Speaker 1: some calls. Next eight hundred three to two one zero
- 15:43Speaker 1: seven ten is the number eight hundred three two one
- 15:47Speaker 1: zero seven ten in Mark on Demand by setting a
- 15:51Speaker 1: preset for his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Now back to Mark Simone on WOOR.
- 15:58Speaker 1: He takes some calls. Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris,
- 16:02Speaker 1: how you doing? Oh he's always upset. This guy's always frazzled.
- 16:09Speaker 8: Go ahead, Oh yeah, I am a little frazzled.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Are there they for the voter?
- 16:17Speaker 8: Aloge party calls packs.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Something's wrong with your phone? It keeps no, you keep
- 16:24Speaker 1: cutting out there. You go Let's go to Ernie Northport,
- 16:29Speaker 1: Long Island. Ernie, how you doing?
- 16:34Speaker 2: In reference to Como's telling Curtis to throw it in,
- 16:37Speaker 2: I mean, he's getting a large percentage of the Democratic vote.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Why not just give it to Curtis and maybe he's
- 16:43Speaker 2: got a legitimate shot to win.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Well, uh, you gotta remember this poll that this was
- 16:48Speaker 1: basically the Cuomo campaign doing this poll. People that love
- 16:52Speaker 1: Cuomo did the polls showing well, if it was just
- 16:56Speaker 1: a Mom Downy and Cuoma. Look what you notice they
- 17:00Speaker 1: never pulled what would happen if it was just Curtis
- 17:02Speaker 1: and mom Donnie. They were careful not to pull that
- 17:05Speaker 1: because Curtis might have actually done better against Mom Donnie.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Let's go to uh Sandy in Westchester. Sandy, how you
- 17:11Speaker 1: doing all right?
- 17:13Speaker 2: Curtis got thirty one percent of the vote in the
- 17:16Speaker 2: last election. What in the world makes you all conservative
- 17:18Speaker 2: talk show hosts thinks?
- 17:22Speaker 1: Are you a Democrat? Is that?
- 17:23Speaker 8: What?
- 17:23Speaker 1: Why you call this a conservative to show?
- 17:25Speaker 9: Oh, I'm praying that you guys will start you got you.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Got you gotta start with you guys. It just sounds stupid.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Let's go to uh Lauren in New Jersey, Lauren, how
- 17:36Speaker 1: you doing, hey?
- 17:38Speaker 7: Mark? Hey, So, I am all for facts, numbers, statistics
- 17:44Speaker 7: and excellent polls, but talk about a weak argument. Wouldn't
- 17:49Speaker 7: people prefer cats in Gracie mentioned and a communist?
- 17:54Speaker 1: Well, you gotta remember whenever he says, I don't want
- 17:56Speaker 1: to cats and Gracey, it's a silly sid ish. It
- 17:59Speaker 1: has nothing to do with it anything. It means they
- 18:00Speaker 1: can't think of the argument. They just can't come up
- 18:02Speaker 1: with the argument against Curtis on a policy basis. They
- 18:05Speaker 1: just can't think of anything, you know, to say the guys.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I guess they're trying to make it sound like he's weird. Hey, listen,
- 18:10Speaker 1: I know the guy for a million years. He's definitely
- 18:12Speaker 1: got some weird things about him, but nothing compared to
- 18:15Speaker 1: the weirdness of Cuomo. They've all got weird stuff. Let's
- 18:20Speaker 1: go to David and Queen's David.
- 18:21Speaker 2: How you doing, hey, Mark? Good morning. Kudos to you
- 18:25Speaker 2: Mark for being the only one that I hear on
- 18:27Speaker 2: the radio not piling on Curtis.
- 18:29Speaker 1: No, No, there's a lot of people that there's a
- 18:31Speaker 1: lot of people supporting Curtis on the radio. Plenty of people.
- 18:34Speaker 2: This guy Cuomo caused so much damage. He should be
- 18:37Speaker 2: facing a war crimes trial.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I don't know about that. But he was a horrible
- 18:41Speaker 1: left wing governor. He was to the left of Mom Donnie.
- 18:45Speaker 1: He personally single handledly caused the crime wave with his
- 18:47Speaker 1: closing the prisons, let everybody out, the no bail notes, jail,
- 18:51Speaker 1: and go on and on. But he was just horrible
- 18:53Speaker 1: as Governor christ from Manhattan. Let's see it sounds now okay.
- 18:56Speaker 8: Sorry about that before. I don't know what happened. Oka, Listen,
- 19:00Speaker 8: Curtis is so lucky to have a loyal friend.
- 19:03Speaker 1: And do you have an actual point you want to make?
- 19:06Speaker 8: Yes, I do you say frequently that that people that
- 19:10Speaker 8: don't if Curtis votes drops out, people won't vote for Cuomo.
- 19:15Speaker 1: That's not what I said at all. I said, Well,
- 19:17Speaker 1: I meant.
- 19:18Speaker 8: Love Curtis, but I can't vote for him, and don't
- 19:22Speaker 8: come London.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Don't then don't vote for Hi. I'm just what I
- 19:25Speaker 1: said was if he drops out, this is fantasy that
- 19:27Speaker 1: all his voters will go to Cuomo. Some of them will, most.
- 19:30Speaker 8: Of them, I think most of them will. That they
- 19:32Speaker 8: know that they know what's the right thing to do.
- 19:34Speaker 8: They wouldn't rather have Mandanmi than Cuomo.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Well, here's the problem. Here's the problem. You always get
- 19:39Speaker 1: all flustered. Here's the problem.
- 19:41Speaker 8: I know, I am flustered about Okay, I mean I
- 19:42Speaker 8: live here. It's going to destroy the city.
- 19:44Speaker 1: It's too hard to talk to you trying to talk
- 19:47Speaker 1: to him, moth It's impossible. Here's the argument, though, anytime
- 19:52Speaker 1: you put Cuomo against mont Donnie, Cuomo loses. We've tested
- 19:55Speaker 1: this a number of times in the primary fence. Whenever
- 19:58Speaker 1: you put Cuomo against Mom Donnie, Cuomo loses. It's we've
- 20:03Speaker 1: seen it in action in a Democratic primary. Cuomo camp
- 20:06Speaker 1: beat Mam Donnie. So to think he's going to be
- 20:09Speaker 1: popular with Republicans it's a bit of a stretch. So,
- 20:14Speaker 1: and it's also he was a horrible governor. He was
- 20:17Speaker 1: as left wing as Mam Donnie when he governed. It's
- 20:20Speaker 1: something to consider. Let's go to Chuck and Staten Island. Chuck,
- 20:23Speaker 1: how you doing, Hi, Mark?
- 20:26Speaker 8: It occurred to me that Trump won a lot of
- 20:29Speaker 8: reason was that people lied at the polls, but they
- 20:33Speaker 8: told the truth when they voted.
- 20:34Speaker 9: So all the Republicans have to do is get.
- 20:36Speaker 8: At and vote.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point, you know. That is another
- 20:39Speaker 1: point there is guys that Curtis tend to what they
- 20:43Speaker 1: say call underpole. They just don't poll as well as
- 20:46Speaker 1: they would really do. And again again this poll that
- 20:49Speaker 1: came out yesterday, don't take this poll seriously. It was
- 20:51Speaker 1: basically done by the Cuomo campaign and the people that
- 20:55Speaker 1: run that pole are huge Cuomo supporter, so don't take
- 20:58Speaker 1: it seriously. They were very careful not the pole Curtis
- 21:01Speaker 1: versus Mom Donnie because they didn't want to hear the answer.
- 21:04Speaker 1: But don't take that poll yesterday seriously. And also, it's
- 21:10Speaker 1: possible tomorrow night things could change Curtis, and even he's
- 21:14Speaker 1: admitted there were no big knockout punches in the first debate.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Let's see what happens tomorrow night. Silly to say anything
- 21:21Speaker 1: until tomorrow night's final debate. Then we'll know. If Curtis
- 21:26Speaker 1: can't do some damage to Mom Donnie, then maybe he
- 21:29Speaker 1: should get out. We'll see, But tomorrow night's the key.
- 21:31Speaker 1: When we come back. Bill O'Reilly will be with us
- 21:34Speaker 1: next on seven to ten WR Live.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Here's more Mark Simone on seven to ten WR.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Hey, Yeah, Bill O'Reilly, you know his new book, Confronting Evil. Oh,
- 21:46Speaker 1: it's a huge bestseller. You got to get this book
- 21:48Speaker 1: if you haven't ordered it. The book is Confronting Evil.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Phenomenal book. You can order it right now. It's out. Also,
- 21:55Speaker 1: you can watch the TV show The Column. Everything is
- 21:58Speaker 1: at Bill O'Reilly dot com and make sure you check
- 22:01Speaker 1: out his YouTube channel, Bill O'Reilly on YouTube. It's become
- 22:04Speaker 1: a big, big, big channel. A lot of great stuff there,
- 22:07Speaker 1: Bill O'Reilly. How you doing.
- 22:09Speaker 9: You know, I'm tread and water here two weeks before
- 22:12Speaker 9: the vote? Right?
- 22:13Speaker 1: Uh yeah, not easy. Hey, tell us about Washington, d C.
- 22:18Speaker 1: You spent a lot of time there last week. What
- 22:20Speaker 1: does it look like now? Is it different that the
- 22:22Speaker 1: Trump is guarding it?
- 22:24Speaker 9: Yeah, it's different in the sense that there's bulldozers all
- 22:27Speaker 9: over the White House bulldoze and old thing down. I
- 22:35Speaker 9: have never been a big fan of the District of Columbia.
- 22:38Speaker 9: I think it's an artificial city, unlike New York, where
- 22:43Speaker 9: you know, real people lived and people come here from
- 22:46Speaker 9: all over the world to succeed and get involved with
- 22:51Speaker 9: the neighborhoods from which they live. Washington's not like that.
- 22:55Speaker 9: Most of these people work for the federal government or
- 22:59Speaker 9: some kind of a support system. There's not really defined neighborhoods,
- 23:04Speaker 9: like there's not an Italian neighborhood or a Greek neighborhood.
- 23:08Speaker 9: You don't have that. It's it's sterile. But we had
- 23:13Speaker 9: a lot to do down there. It was in the
- 23:14Speaker 9: White House twice. We did the Big Three American Show,
- 23:19Speaker 9: which twenty three million people access that or part of
- 23:24Speaker 9: that program. It was a News Nation production, which was phenomenal.
- 23:31Speaker 9: So we were really busy.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and the new Kennedy Center looks good. Looks very good,
- 23:36Speaker 1: doesn't it.
- 23:37Speaker 9: Yeah. I had been there a few years ago when
- 23:41Speaker 9: I shocked the world and I gave an award to
- 23:44Speaker 9: Herbie Hancock Presidential Medal Award, which is what President Trump
- 23:52Speaker 9: was giving out, and the producer's CBS selected me to do.
- 24:00Speaker 9: But I think they just wanted to annoy Barack Obama,
- 24:02Speaker 9: who was in the audience and in and outs that
- 24:06Speaker 9: I walked out, But Herbie had asked for me because
- 24:08Speaker 9: I've known him for a while. He's a very funny guy.
- 24:13Speaker 9: And it hasn't much changed. It's a good place to
- 24:17Speaker 9: go to see any exposition at all.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, the Trump is building a ballroom. It's something
- 24:24Speaker 1: that should have been done a long time ago, instead
- 24:25Speaker 1: of having these parties in a tent outside. And he
- 24:28Speaker 1: saw the Rose garden. It's beautiful now with the beautiful
- 24:31Speaker 1: tile instead of standing on wet grass. Isn't it much nicer?
- 24:34Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, look, it's a matter of taste. I'm
- 24:37Speaker 9: a big traditional guy. Probably would have done a lesser footprint.
- 24:40Speaker 9: What I liked about the Rose Garden was that he
- 24:42Speaker 9: put portraits of every president. I think he had a
- 24:47Speaker 9: little blanket over Biden and Obama, but he is a
- 24:52Speaker 9: portrait of everyone in the car there going from the
- 24:55Speaker 9: residence to the over office. Yeah, and it really looked
- 24:59Speaker 9: good and it was just respectful to the past presidents.
- 25:03Speaker 9: But look, well it's a matter of taste. He's a
- 25:06Speaker 9: grandeur guy. He likes to make the big statement where
- 25:09Speaker 9: the big power in the world, and he wants, you know,
- 25:13Speaker 9: people to know it when they come into the White House.
- 25:15Speaker 9: That's what he's doing.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, the No Kings rally, most people were a
- 25:20Speaker 1: little surprised at how old the people were. It was
- 25:23Speaker 1: a very white crowd, very old. It was sponsored. They've
- 25:27Speaker 1: they've traced the money now of every Oligarch put money
- 25:29Speaker 1: into this, would you think of it?
- 25:32Speaker 9: I thought it was all right in this instan the
- 25:35Speaker 9: right to protest I respect, so I don't mind you
- 25:40Speaker 9: going out there to protest anything you want, as long
- 25:43Speaker 9: as you do it peacefully, which they did. I thought
- 25:46Speaker 9: that was impressive. I was up in Kingston, New York,
- 25:51Speaker 9: up on the Hudson, and they had a little rally there,
- 25:55Speaker 9: but it was like a big party up there. The
- 25:57Speaker 9: ice cream guys were there, and the kids are running
- 25:59Speaker 9: aroun down and there were not very many young people
- 26:04Speaker 9: there are going to the football games, high school games
- 26:07Speaker 9: and stuff like that. It was mostly older hippies up
- 26:10Speaker 9: in Kingston. If you know that part of New York,
- 26:13Speaker 9: Ryan Beck and all that, A lot of hippies have
- 26:16Speaker 9: moved up there, and they, you know, they're like the
- 26:20Speaker 9: quiet or whatever. I don't know, but I didn't have
- 26:23Speaker 9: any problem with the no Kings protests itself. But I
- 26:28Speaker 9: would ask people, so what exactly are you protesting? And
- 26:32Speaker 9: the ice thing was the big thing they don't want.
- 26:35Speaker 9: They don't want immigration law enforced, and I think that
- 26:38Speaker 9: should be. You know, look, you can disagree on policy,
- 26:42Speaker 9: but if you don't want immigration enforce and many, many
- 26:46Speaker 9: of these people do not want any enforcement of immigration law.
- 26:51Speaker 9: Then that should be known because that's a fairly radical position.
- 26:55Speaker 9: And I think that the people who sponsored it, if
- 26:58Speaker 9: you look at who put it together, they're all radical leftists.
- 27:01Speaker 9: Every single organization to pump money into that is way
- 27:05Speaker 9: way out there.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Hey, the book Confronting Evil, big, big bestseller. Now everybody,
- 27:13Speaker 1: I know. The chapter they're talking about the most is
- 27:15Speaker 1: the Putin chapter. They realized they didn't realize what a
- 27:19Speaker 1: psychopath this guy is.
- 27:21Speaker 9: Yeah. I gave the book to President Trump on nine
- 27:25Speaker 9: to eleven when I was with him at Yankee Stadium,
- 27:27Speaker 9: and I got a nice letter from him yesterday, totally
- 27:31Speaker 9: out of the blue, saying, this is really an important book.
- 27:36Speaker 9: It goes into my collection. I've got a lot of
- 27:39Speaker 9: Trump stuff over the years. But it was a very
- 27:41Speaker 9: kind thing for him to do that, because he knows
- 27:43Speaker 9: any endorsement will help me in the book sales department.
- 27:50Speaker 9: But I think another chapter that is important is the
- 27:52Speaker 9: Henry the eighth chapter, because if you really want to
- 27:56Speaker 9: know about what kings two, ye, Henry gonna be any
- 28:01Speaker 9: demonstrations no, uh those head you know you'll lose your
- 28:07Speaker 9: head quicker, and so the people out there, they don't
- 28:11Speaker 9: really know what the absolute monarchs did, and they just
- 28:15Speaker 9: kind of like along for the left wing ride, the
- 28:18Speaker 9: liberal ride. But the Putin chapter, I know the President
- 28:23Speaker 9: read it, and it is an important, obviously chapter because
- 28:28Speaker 9: Putin is the most dangerous man in the world right now.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Henry the eighth chapter, I can't even listen to
- 28:34Speaker 1: the Herman Hermit's song ANYMOREZ.
- 28:38Speaker 6: What a guy?
- 28:39Speaker 9: Oh boy? No, yeah, you don't want to date Henry
- 28:44Speaker 9: the Eighth.
- 28:44Speaker 1: You know, it's an amazing book, Confronting Evil. I think
- 28:50Speaker 1: it's I think it's the best book so far. But
- 28:52Speaker 1: order it you can. It's out Confronting Evil. Uh, and
- 28:56Speaker 1: the TV show, the column, everything is at Bill O'Reilly
- 28:58Speaker 1: dot com. Hey, we only got a minute left mayoral race.
- 29:01Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 29:02Speaker 9: It's van And he's going to win, unfortunately, and the
- 29:05Speaker 9: city will now pay a price to that, as everybody
- 29:08Speaker 9: who's sane pretty much knows.
- 29:11Speaker 7: Uh.
- 29:12Speaker 9: The good news to me as a New Yorker is
- 29:15Speaker 9: that Hoko will lose next year because she'll be attached
- 29:18Speaker 9: to Mandani and when the city goes south and it
- 29:22Speaker 9: will quickly just a nine to one one system itself.
- 29:25Speaker 9: When you get in trouble, you call nine one one,
- 29:27Speaker 9: nobody's going to answer your call. You're on your own.
- 29:33Speaker 9: That's how bad it's going to be. Garbage won't be
- 29:35Speaker 9: picked up. You know it's going to be, and it's
- 29:38Speaker 9: going to happen fast. So that'll all fall on Hoko.
- 29:42Speaker 9: She'll lose and that's what the state needs. He needs
- 29:46Speaker 9: do leadership.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Well, thanks for cheering us up, but.
- 29:51Speaker 9: Well, the whole thing is shoots some people up right, Okay,
- 29:55Speaker 9: you not a popular governor, that's for sure.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Well, everybody go to Bill O'Reilly dot com. You can
- 30:01Speaker 1: get the TV show, the column, that book, everything is there,
- 30:04Speaker 1: and get the book Confronting Evil, and make sure you
- 30:06Speaker 1: watch Bill O'Reilly's YouTube channel. Boy, there's great stuff there.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Bill O'Reilly, thanks for being with.
- 30:11Speaker 9: Us, always a pleasure. Mark, Thanks for having me.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Take care. Yeah, we'll get back to the mayoral race
