- 0:01Speaker 1: Well, hey, a lot to get to this hour. Hey, congratulations,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Kash Patel. You remember he had this girlfriend for the
- 0:16Speaker 1: last three or four years, this country music star. And
- 0:20Speaker 1: they were always trying to make it look like some
- 0:22Speaker 1: sort of seedy, slimy something going on. What's he doing
- 0:25Speaker 1: with her? And what was he carrying on with? Well,
- 0:27Speaker 1: they just announced they're getting married. Yeah, while they're engaged,
- 0:33Speaker 1: Alexis Wilkins and Kash Patel, he's about almost 20 years older,
- 0:38Speaker 1: but they've been together three or four years, and then congratulations,
- 0:41Speaker 1: they're getting engaged. The left will now find some way
- 0:46Speaker 1: to trash her and him even more, and now that
- 0:48Speaker 1: they're getting engaged. Hey, this fly Dubai hijacking, this terrorist
- 0:55Speaker 1: gets a job as a co-pilot on this airline, Fly Dubai.
- 1:01Speaker 1: How he got this job, nobody will ever figure out.
- 1:05Speaker 1: We now know his name is Hamam Al-Hamami. Hamam Al-Hamami.
- 1:11Speaker 1: He's only 29. And he gets a job as a
- 1:16Speaker 1: co-pilot on the airline. He apparently has a history of
- 1:19Speaker 1: the most extreme posts online. And you just take a
- 1:24Speaker 1: look at his social media online. It's the most disgusting,
- 1:26Speaker 1: extreme stuff talking about beating women. Women are cheap meat
- 1:34Speaker 1: devoured by anyone and everyone. Other posts call for severe
- 1:39Speaker 1: Islamic punishment against Jews and homosexuals. His social media accounts,
- 1:47Speaker 1: I mean, make it clear that he's a radicalized jihadist nut.
- 1:52Speaker 1: He talks about killing Jews. The Times of Israel has
- 1:56Speaker 1: gone through all this social media, found a lot of
- 1:58Speaker 1: this stuff, published it. But I would think because any
- 2:01Speaker 1: normal business, before they hire somebody, they check their social
- 2:05Speaker 1: media just to make sure. So how this airline could
- 2:09Speaker 1: not check this. He had a previous job at Oman's
- 2:14Speaker 1: National Airline last year, but they removed him because of
- 2:18Speaker 1: his extremist Islamist views and apparently just spew them all
- 2:23Speaker 1: over the place. Employees got nervous around the guy. So
- 2:26Speaker 1: they got rid of him. And he has a couple
- 2:30Speaker 1: of posts on his social media showing Israeli airline jets
- 2:34Speaker 1: followed by a photo montage of a suicide bomber and
- 2:38Speaker 1: Al Qaeda. That's on his LinkedIn profile. How could any
- 2:42Speaker 1: company not check this stuff out? And how could they
- 2:47Speaker 1: end up hiring this guy? They just didn't check his
- 2:49Speaker 1: social media. It's absolutely ridiculous. You know, the guy that
- 2:54Speaker 1: tackled him was a plumber He's a good-looking guy, and
- 2:59Speaker 1: he's Israeli. So apparently in Israel, this guy is like
- 3:02Speaker 1: the hottest sex symbol in Israel. Women are going crazy
- 3:06Speaker 1: about this guy, formerly just an everyday plumber, now a
- 3:11Speaker 1: big sex symbol in Israel. Even President Trump gushing over
- 3:17Speaker 1: him on TikTok. It turns out the guy, this Israeli hero,
- 3:22Speaker 1: is also a big Trump fan. I would imagine everybody
- 3:24Speaker 1: in Israel is. Because it was Trump that saved Israel
- 3:28Speaker 1: after October 7th. Imagine if Biden had been in power.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But it's Trump who's done more for Israel than any
- 3:35Speaker 1: president ever. And a lot of Israelis, and it's a
- 3:42Speaker 1: great thing, have military service. It's just pretty much standard
- 3:47Speaker 1: there in Israel that you join the military for a time.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It's great training for life. It's great training for a
- 3:53Speaker 1: lot of things. It's one of the things we'll miss
- 3:56Speaker 1: in this country. If everybody had to have some military
- 3:58Speaker 1: service for a couple of years, they'd be much better, sharper,
- 4:02Speaker 1: more disciplined, better workers, all of that stuff. Hey, the
- 4:06Speaker 1: Cornell case, I don't know, this is going to be
- 4:09Speaker 1: quite a mess. Kathy Hochul, just for political purposes, just
- 4:14Speaker 1: for political purposes, is pretending to be outraged.
- 4:18Speaker 2: No institution gets to protect its reputation. at the expense
- 4:23Speaker 2: of a young person seeking justice.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Well, this happened two years ago. Kathy Hochul's district attorney
- 4:29Speaker 1: let the guys go and didn't do anything about it,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and she never said a word about it.
- 4:32Speaker 2: She spoke to the police. She sat for hours and
- 4:36Speaker 2: told them exactly what happened to her. And according to
- 4:39Speaker 2: new reports... And she.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Did nothing, Kathy Hochul, nothing, absolutely nothing, paid no attention
- 4:44Speaker 1: to this. Now it's three weeks, four weeks, four weeks
- 4:47Speaker 1: before the election, and she's using it as an election issue.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So she's going to yell and scream about this and
- 4:53Speaker 1: pretend that she is on top of it. Pretend that
- 4:57Speaker 1: she is taking action when actually nothing will get done.
- 5:01Speaker 1: She makes the worst possible choice for a special prosecutor.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Letitia James, besides being way too political for a case
- 5:08Speaker 1: like this, and she shot her mouth off with her
- 5:12Speaker 1: posting on Twitter, prejudging the case. Defense attorneys will be
- 5:16Speaker 1: able to use that against her, the fact that she
- 5:18Speaker 1: prejudged the case. And also, Why would you pick Letitia James?
- 5:22Speaker 1: She has no experience at all as a prosecutor. She's
- 5:27Speaker 1: never prosecuted a criminal case in her life. Before being
- 5:32Speaker 1: Attorney General, she was the public advocate, which is basically
- 5:36Speaker 1: a no-show job in New York City. You don't do anything.
- 5:40Speaker 1: You basically make speeches. The public advocate does absolutely nothing.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Before that, she sat on the city council for many years.
- 5:48Speaker 1: That's her background. She knows nothing about prosecuting. criminal. She's
- 5:52Speaker 1: never done it in her life. And it happens. You can,
- 5:56Speaker 1: you know, you could just be a political figure and
- 5:59Speaker 1: with no experience, get yourself elected attorney general. You know,
- 6:02Speaker 1: Chris Christie was the U.S. attorney in New Jersey. And
- 6:05Speaker 1: if you watch him on those Sunday shows, very often
- 6:08Speaker 1: he'll say, you know, as a prosecutor, I was a prosecutor.
- 6:12Speaker 1: He was never a prosecutor, never prosecuted anything. He was
- 6:15Speaker 1: a big donor to to the Bush campaign. He raised
- 6:19Speaker 1: a ton of money for the Bush campaign. So they
- 6:22Speaker 1: owed him something. So they made him US attorney in
- 6:25Speaker 1: New Jersey, even though he'd never been in a courtroom
- 6:27Speaker 1: in his life. It can happen. It can happen where
- 6:31Speaker 1: you get appointed prosecutor, even though you don't know how
- 6:33Speaker 1: to prosecute. So that's the case with Letitia James. You know,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and the Cornell situation sounds so horrifying. But do you
- 6:44Speaker 1: know that in US colleges, In one year, there have
- 6:47Speaker 1: been over 8,000 rape cases reported. 8,000 rape cases reported
- 6:53Speaker 1: every year in colleges. The school with the most reported incidents,
- 6:59Speaker 1: University of Utah, had the most reported rapes, nearly double
- 7:03Speaker 1: the number of the number two. 146 rape accusations in
- 7:09Speaker 1: one year. That's like 10 a month. That's like 11
- 7:13Speaker 1: or 12 a month. That's like two a week. That's
- 7:19Speaker 1: the University of Utah. Number two, University of Colorado Boulder,
- 7:24Speaker 1: second highest count with 96 rapes. Ohio State is third
- 7:32Speaker 1: with 67 rapes reported every year. That's a staggering amount.
- 7:37Speaker 1: That's like six a month. That's unbelievable. Other schools that
- 7:43Speaker 1: made the top 10, Penn State, UCLA. University of California,
- 7:50Speaker 1: Santa Cruz, University of California, Santa Barbara, Indiana University, University
- 7:55Speaker 1: of Kansas, and New York Columbia University stood out with
- 8:02Speaker 1: a lot. Columbia, number one in New York. It's just horrifying.
- 8:07Speaker 1: This goes on. I don't know what it is. It's
- 8:09Speaker 1: just drugs and drinking and standards are so low now.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It's just absolutely crazy. Now, you know, the billionaire, Ken Griffin,
- 8:21Speaker 1: this is the guy that Mondami targeted, big hedge fund billionaire,
- 8:27Speaker 1: Ken Griffin. He's the guy. I guess Mondami first picked
- 8:30Speaker 1: him because Ken Griffin bought that apartment over there on
- 8:34Speaker 1: Central Park South for $ 250 million. This is for an apartment.
- 8:38Speaker 1: $ 250 million for an apartment. And he's already got the
- 8:46Speaker 1: nicest apartment in New York over on Park Avenue. In
- 8:49Speaker 1: the finest building on Park Avenue, he has the most
- 8:52Speaker 1: magnificent apartments, like two floors of the building. It's considered
- 8:56Speaker 1: the finest building in New York, that Park Avenue. So
- 8:58Speaker 1: I don't know what the Central Park South was for.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It could be just an investment. So he's got these
- 9:04Speaker 1: two unbelievable apartments in New York for a total of
- 9:09Speaker 1: like $ 350 million. And he doesn't even live here. He
- 9:14Speaker 1: lives in Florida most of the time. But Mamdani went
- 9:17Speaker 1: after him and really targeted him. Now, Mamdani, remember he
- 9:22Speaker 1: did that video standing outside of Ken Griffin's building, basically
- 9:26Speaker 1: showing you where he lives and denouncing him. We've never
- 9:29Speaker 1: seen anything like that before, where a mayor targets a
- 9:32Speaker 1: private citizen just because he bought an apartment and makes
- 9:35Speaker 1: videos taunting the guy and trying to terrify the guy
- 9:38Speaker 1: and trying to give out his address. It's crazy. So
- 9:43Speaker 1: And a guy like Ken Griffin, you might say, well,
- 9:45Speaker 1: he's a billionaire. They really do a lot. They're the
- 9:48Speaker 1: guys that make all the donations to the hospitals and
- 9:51Speaker 1: the museums and keep them afloat. And he's building a
- 9:56Speaker 1: building here in New York over at Park Avenue and 52nd.
- 10:00Speaker 1: They tore down three or four buildings at Park Avenue
- 10:02Speaker 1: and 52nd, and they're going to put up like a
- 10:06Speaker 1: 90-story skyscraper. So, yeah, I know you might say, well,
- 10:10Speaker 1: we don't need another 90-story skyscraper. Well, it's going to
- 10:13Speaker 1: create 6,000 jobs. It's great for New York. He almost, almost,
- 10:19Speaker 1: killed the project because of mom donnie but apparently it's
- 10:22Speaker 1: still going on but as much as you want to
- 10:26Speaker 1: hate these billionaires boy do they donate a lot of
- 10:29Speaker 1: money they support all the charities the hospitals the museums
- 10:33Speaker 1: that keep it all going so uh ken griffin just
- 10:36Speaker 1: announced he's given three billion dollars to carnegie mellon university
- 10:43Speaker 1: for a new campus in miami Now, they have a
- 10:47Speaker 1: New York City campus, but he's giving $ 3 billion to
- 10:53Speaker 1: Carnegie Mellon University for their Miami campus. And he just
- 10:57Speaker 1: pledged another billion dollars for their main campus in Pittsburgh.
- 11:04Speaker 1: So that's donations that could have gone here in New
- 11:07Speaker 1: York for their campus, not giving it to them. Now,
- 11:10Speaker 1: these billionaires, again, nobody's more charitable than these guys here.
- 11:14Speaker 1: with all the hospitals, everything, even silly things like the opera,
- 11:17Speaker 1: the ballet. They wouldn't be there for these billionaires donating.
- 11:22Speaker 1: But then you get the Bernie Sanders socialists targeting these guys.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Get off of your yachts and your rocket ships. Take
- 11:29Speaker 3: a break from your cocktail parties and take a look
- 11:34Speaker 3: around you.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Now, first of all, rocket ships. He's talking about Elon Musk.
- 11:41Speaker 1: And that's another thing. Musk created Tesla. Created 100,000 jobs there.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Changed the world of electric cars with that thing. He's
- 11:50Speaker 1: got a space company creating rockets. He's got that Starlink,
- 11:55Speaker 1: those satellite communications that everybody can have in their house
- 11:58Speaker 1: that's being used all over the world. I mean, he's really,
- 12:01Speaker 1: really helping millions of people. And what did Bernie Sanders create? Exactly. Nothing.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Not a damn thing. He just talks.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Get off of your yachts and your rocket ships.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Remember, it's Bernie Sanders, typical socialist who we've seen flying
- 12:20Speaker 1: around on private jets, staying in the most luxurious hotels
- 12:24Speaker 1: all over the world with your money, with our money.
- 12:28Speaker 1: One thing about guys like Ken Griffin, they pay for themselves. So,
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know, if you have luggage, of course, you got
- 12:36Speaker 1: to carry on on the plane. And then the big
- 12:39Speaker 1: bag that you got to check. People always say, airline
- 12:43Speaker 1: people always say, don't get fancy luggage. Don't get any
- 12:46Speaker 1: expensive looking luggage. Make sure you got the crummiest, cheapest
- 12:50Speaker 1: luggage to check. I know it doesn't sound right, but apparently,
- 12:55Speaker 1: you know, you're not allowed to lock your suitcase anymore.
- 12:57Speaker 1: So when it's back there with the baggage handling, they
- 13:00Speaker 1: do go through some suitcases and they do steal stuff.
- 13:04Speaker 1: And they always pick the most expensive looking luggage. They
- 13:07Speaker 1: figure that's where the expensive stuff will be. If you've
- 13:09Speaker 1: got a crummy 25-year-old broken-down suitcase, they're not looking in there.
- 13:13Speaker 1: But if you've got some Louis Vuitton luggage or Gucci,
- 13:15Speaker 1: they're going to look through that. Well, look at this guy.
- 13:18Speaker 1: He had a watch stolen out of his suitcase. An
- 13:22Speaker 1: $ 80, 000 Patek Philippe. Now, if you've got an $ 80, 000 Patek Philippe,
- 13:29Speaker 1: that should probably go in your carry-on. You probably don't
- 13:30Speaker 1: want to check that. But he did check it. And
- 13:33Speaker 1: it was stolen. And he discovered it was stolen. He
- 13:36Speaker 1: was flying from Los Angeles to the Louis Armstrong New
- 13:40Speaker 1: Orleans airport. But good for the airline. Apparently, they got
- 13:44Speaker 1: a lot of surveillance cameras. And they looked. They found
- 13:47Speaker 1: the two guys that stole it. One's 42 and one's 18.
- 13:53Speaker 1: They were both busted. They've been arrested. It's a serious
- 13:56Speaker 1: felony because it's an $ 80, 000 theft. They both will be prosecuted.
- 14:02Speaker 1: But again... Get yourself some nice crummy luggage. They'll never
- 14:05Speaker 1: open it. They'll never, never check it. Very important. Hey,
- 14:09Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710. Always good to hear
- 14:16Speaker 1: from new callers. If you're a new caller, call us.
- 14:18Speaker 4: 800-321-0710.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Mark Simone.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Mr.
- 14:20Speaker 1: New York. Now three hours every weekday from 9 till
- 14:24Speaker 1: noon on 710WORX. Well, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is
- 14:39Speaker 1: the number. Let's go to Kathy in North Carolina. Kathy,
- 14:43Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 14:44Speaker 5: Hello, Mark. Good morning.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Hello.
- 14:47Speaker 6: Hello.
- 14:48Speaker 5: I know I have a cold, so I have a
- 14:49Speaker 5: really nice voice.
- 14:50Speaker 1: You always have a nice voice. Weren't you a radio
- 14:53Speaker 1: star at one point?
- 14:54Speaker 5: I was, but I've always sound so much better when
- 14:59Speaker 5: I have a little huskiness in there, like Kathleen Turner.
- 15:01Speaker 4: But anyway.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Wow, thanks for those statistics on the school rapes. I
- 15:06Speaker 5: know this opinion won't matter much to a bachelor with
- 15:09Speaker 5: no kids, but us moms out there are just done
- 15:14Speaker 5: with this. Like, what is the point of sending our
- 15:16Speaker 5: kids off to college and spending $ 60, 000, $ 70, 000 a year?
- 15:21Speaker 5: I mean, is it too much to ask for them
- 15:23Speaker 5: to keep them safe? I really question this. I sent
- 15:27Speaker 5: both mine off. They both got high degrees, doctorates, and
- 15:32Speaker 5: I just, I don't even know why, because they allow
- 15:36Speaker 5: them to have sex. They allow them to drink. They
- 15:38Speaker 5: allow them to do drugs. The fraternities need to go away.
- 15:41Speaker 5: They just need to go away. The old days of,
- 15:44Speaker 5: you know, the letter sweater, the fraternities that were just
- 15:47Speaker 5: all a bunch of fun guys are just gone. They're
- 15:49Speaker 5: just gangs. And I just think that would be that
- 15:53Speaker 5: one of the first things that they should do. It's
- 15:55Speaker 5: just like organized crime on campuses. And I just think
- 16:00Speaker 5: we have to have a whole new reshuffle. Not to mention.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Listen, you're absolutely right. That's the problem with these colleges.
- 16:08Speaker 1: They've only got these indoctrinating professors teaching everybody to come.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Out of socialist colleges. Yes, that's another problem.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Cut back on the professors and start hiring security. Start hiring...
- 16:18Speaker 1: Didn't they have people.
- 16:19Speaker 5: Yeah, no co-ed. No co-ed. They always have sober houses.
- 16:25Speaker 5: They're never sober. The RAs are just useless. And I just,
- 16:30Speaker 5: I feel so bad for us that we've wasted all,
- 16:33Speaker 5: I mean, I guess we don't waste some of it,
- 16:35Speaker 5: but it's just that we endanger our children. I really
- 16:38Speaker 5: believe that, especially ones that have never been away.
- 16:40Speaker 1: You're right. That's a good point. Those universities are getting
- 16:43Speaker 1: away with murder. Somebody needs to step in and fix
- 16:45Speaker 1: all of them. All right. Good call, Kathy. Thanks for calling.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Let's go to Suzanne in New Canaan, Connecticut. Suzanne, how
- 16:56Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 16:57Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark.
- 16:58Speaker 7: I have just a quick one about, I wonder if
- 17:00Speaker 7: this whole college rape culture stat is due to the
- 17:04Speaker 7: students being a fallout of the COVID lockdowns. They're socially inept.
- 17:08Speaker 7: But also the cultural influence of, you know, Cardi B
- 17:13Speaker 7: glorifying trains and Alex Earle's podcast on threesomes and foursomes
- 17:17Speaker 7: and all this stuff like nobody, you know, need to
- 17:20Speaker 7: know about.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was going on long before the pandemic.
- 17:24Speaker 1: It's just a Generation after generation getting weirder, crazier, standards slip, discipline,
- 17:30Speaker 1: everything goes away.
- 17:31Speaker 7: I have a little irony for you. I'm a Cornellian.
- 17:36Speaker 7: I just got an email from the Cornell Fund has
- 17:38Speaker 7: an article about Cornell offering a degree to incarcerated students.
- 17:42Speaker 1: What did you call yourself? You're a Cornellian? Is that
- 17:46Speaker 1: what you people call yourself?
- 17:47Speaker 5: I'm a Cornellian.
- 17:48Speaker 7: I went to Cornell.
- 17:49Speaker 1: A Cornellian. Well, it's... It's one strange school. Who went
- 17:54Speaker 1: to Cornell? Bill Marr went there.
- 17:57Speaker 7: Ann Coulter.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Ann Coulter from New Canaan went there. Crazy Keith Oberman
- 18:02Speaker 1: went there, although he went to the agricultural school, not
- 18:04Speaker 1: the real Cornell.
- 18:05Speaker 7: Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Oh, there you go.
- 18:08Speaker 7: Janet Reno.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Very good.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Let's see, who else?
- 18:11Speaker 1: Very impressive.
- 18:12Speaker 7: Nabokov.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Wow. E.B.
- 18:15Speaker 1: White.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Very good.
- 18:16Speaker 7: We could go on and on.
- 18:17Speaker 1: All right. Impressive, impressive. Thanks for calling. Let's go to...
- 18:23Speaker 1: Phil in Northport.
- 18:26Speaker 6: Yes.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Hello, Mark.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Very little mention was made of a recent passing of
- 18:31Speaker 4: Denny Hastert, who was.
- 18:34Speaker 1: You know, I just saw that about 9.30. It broke
- 18:37Speaker 1: that he has died, the former Speaker of the House.
- 18:40Speaker 1: And I forgot to mention it. That's... He was a
- 18:44Speaker 1: nice guy, but you know what? It's not that important.
- 18:49Speaker 6: Yep.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Did we lose him? Phil, you there?
- 18:51Speaker 4: Phil?
- 18:51Speaker 6: Phil?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Nope, I think we lost him. Phil? Nope, he's gone. Yeah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: it's a, in fact, if we walk out in the
- 19:00Speaker 1: hall here, if you go out in the street there
- 19:01Speaker 1: and stop a thousand people with a picture of Denny Astor,
- 19:04Speaker 1: it's a, can you tell me who this is? No,
- 19:06Speaker 1: but it's a nice guy, but too far in the past.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing?
- 19:13Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark. Mark, I'm okay. My girlfriend graduated from
- 19:18Speaker 6: Cornell 40 years ago, and as far as all this
- 19:21Speaker 6: wilding going on in the frat houses 50 years ago,
- 19:26Speaker 6: when it started in the late 60s and 70s, I
- 19:30Speaker 6: beg to differ with Kathy from North Carolina. There have
- 19:34Speaker 6: been always a lot of sluts. Let's just put it
- 19:38Speaker 6: that way, and I won't go into particulars because I
- 19:41Speaker 6: knew women back then....
- 19:44Speaker 1: But wait a minute, you're talking about way back. You're
- 19:47Speaker 1: talking about your cocktail waitress coping. floozies. You're talking about
- 19:51Speaker 1: modern times.
- 19:53Speaker 6: Well, modern times, where are these young men and women
- 19:58Speaker 6: getting their ethics and their morality from? Maybe their parents
- 20:02Speaker 6: are corrupt. Maybe their parents were part of that 60s, 70s,
- 20:06Speaker 6: or grandparents, 70s generation. Mark, speaking about people going through
- 20:12Speaker 6: your luggage in the airport. I can't tell you. Every
- 20:15Speaker 6: time I go to Italy, the police are always looking
- 20:18Speaker 6: through my luggage for stuff. And the only reason why
- 20:21Speaker 6: I know is because I use certain knots to tie
- 20:26Speaker 6: my luggage that unless you're a fisherman like Rich would
- 20:29Speaker 6: know from South Carolina, you're not going to know how
- 20:33Speaker 6: to retire. Now, you talked about today the city council
- 20:39Speaker 6: is having all the big AI people, they're going to
- 20:42Speaker 6: have this meeting. But yet I heard Daria Auburn say
- 20:46Speaker 6: the city council already has a bunch of proposed legislation,
- 20:51Speaker 6: proposed bills on the desk of Julie Manning saying, number one,
- 20:56Speaker 6: as I said last week, you have to use city-approved
- 21:01Speaker 6: AI software to sweeten the deal for the rats. Any
- 21:07Speaker 6: company who's not using this city-approved software will be fined,
- 21:13Speaker 6: and the city's going to share the money with the rats.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Once again, you put your finger right on it. This
- 21:17Speaker 1: is what the AI hearings are about in the city council.
- 21:20Speaker 6: You know what happens to rats, don't you, Mark?
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yeah. They're going to make the AI companies pay all
- 21:26Speaker 1: the politicians.
- 21:28Speaker 6: Yeah, and you know what happens to rats?
- 21:30Speaker 4: What?
- 21:32Speaker 6: As Curtis says, snitches get.
- 21:35Speaker 1: When we come back, we'll talk to the greatest gossip
- 21:38Speaker 1: columnist of all, Rob Shooter, with us next on 710WOR.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Live from the WOR Life Fact Studios, The Mark Simone Show. Well,
- 21:52Speaker 1: with us right now, the country's top gossip columnist, the
- 21:56Speaker 1: great journalist, Rob Shooter. Make sure you follow his Substack. Actually,
- 21:59Speaker 1: sign up for his Substack. It's Naughty But Nice on Substack.
- 22:03Speaker 1: He's got a great YouTube channel. Just type Rob Shooter
- 22:07Speaker 1: into YouTube. He's got a novel out called It Started
- 22:11Speaker 1: With a Whisper. A lot of stuff going on. And
- 22:14Speaker 1: he's with us now. Rob Shooter, how are you doing?
- 22:17Speaker 4: Hey, my friend. It's good to be here. I'm a
- 22:19Speaker 4: busy guy. Busy, busy, busy.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Yes, you are. Hey, is this true, this Harry and Meghan?
- 22:26Speaker 1: They're not coming back here, are they?
- 22:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a little bit of a tease, but it's true.
- 22:31Speaker 4: It is true. Let me explain. So Harry and Meghan
- 22:34Speaker 4: are coming back to the USA for the holidays, for Christmas.
- 22:38Speaker 4: They left her mom behind. So when they first moved
- 22:41Speaker 4: to Britain all those years ago, six, seven years ago,
- 22:44Speaker 4: her mom went with them. And they're very, very close
- 22:48Speaker 4: to Doria. And she did not want to return to
- 22:51Speaker 4: Britain with them. And so I think part of their
- 22:53Speaker 4: deal of going back is that she'd get to see
- 22:55Speaker 4: the grandkids. At Christmas time, you know, families on different
- 22:59Speaker 4: coasts in different parts of the country, they get together
- 23:02Speaker 4: at Christmas. And so they are coming back at Christmas,
- 23:05Speaker 4: which makes sense. because the royal family, they go to
- 23:08Speaker 4: Balmoral or Sandringham at Christmas, and I don't think Harry
- 23:14Speaker 4: and Meghan are yet that welcome back in the family
- 23:17Speaker 4: to get an invite to that, and so they're not
- 23:20Speaker 4: going to be with the royals this year, maybe next year.
- 23:23Speaker 1: So that's the real reason they're coming back, because it
- 23:25Speaker 1: would be embarrassing to be there and not be invited
- 23:27Speaker 1: to the royals.
- 23:29Speaker 4: You'll get to the bottom of it, my friend. That's
- 23:31Speaker 4: basically what I'm trying to say. They are coming back.
- 23:34Speaker 4: They'll be here for a couple of weeks, flying into
- 23:37Speaker 4: California into Montecito, where they've still kept their house. They
- 23:41Speaker 4: have not sold their house yet. And so this trip
- 23:43Speaker 4: to Britain, this relocation to Britain is still a test.
- 23:48Speaker 4: It's a trial run. Until they sell that house, I
- 23:52Speaker 4: don't believe they are moving back full time, coming back
- 23:54Speaker 4: for Christmas, about two weeks, and then they will be
- 23:57Speaker 4: back in the UK.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Well, they couldn't get anything going here in the US
- 24:00Speaker 1: the last couple of years. Nobody was interested. They go
- 24:03Speaker 1: to England, make a big production out of it. Have
- 24:04Speaker 1: they been offered anything over there?
- 24:06Speaker 4: No. No, nothing. It's a disaster. Nothing. What he's getting
- 24:11Speaker 4: over there, though, is he's treated like a prince. Here
- 24:14Speaker 4: in America, he was a prince. He was Diana's son.
- 24:17Speaker 4: But Americans don't want kings. We got rid of our
- 24:20Speaker 4: British king a long time ago. And so they don't
- 24:24Speaker 4: really bow and scrape and defer to him as they
- 24:28Speaker 4: do in Britain. I'm British. The royal family over there...
- 24:32Speaker 4: is everything. And here in America, there's great respect for them,
- 24:35Speaker 4: a lot of love for the royal family, particularly Queen Elizabeth.
- 24:40Speaker 4: But I don't think he got the response he wanted
- 24:43Speaker 4: in L.A. He's back in Britain. He's going to charity events.
- 24:46Speaker 4: He's putting on his medals and he is thoroughly enjoying
- 24:50Speaker 4: being treated like he is very special again. So he
- 24:53Speaker 4: likes it there. Meghan has yet to figure out her
- 24:55Speaker 4: role over there. She's got not much going on.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Now, let me ask you a question. When they do
- 25:00Speaker 1: their income tax, on the first question, occupation, what do
- 25:04Speaker 1: they put?
- 25:04Speaker 4: It's interesting. Harry was asked this question, not about his taxes,
- 25:08Speaker 4: but he was asked, what do you do? What's on
- 25:11Speaker 4: your passport? And his first answer is he's a full-time dad.
- 25:16Speaker 4: And his second answer, which is very telling, is he
- 25:19Speaker 4: is a prince of England. Do not forget. that from
- 25:24Speaker 4: the day this little guy was born, people bowed to him.
- 25:28Speaker 4: When he was five years old, grown men, grown women
- 25:32Speaker 4: had to bow and curtsy. That changes the way you
- 25:36Speaker 4: live your life. He's a very entitled guy, and he
- 25:41Speaker 4: expects people to be very deferential towards him, and it
- 25:45Speaker 4: didn't happen here. It does happen in Britain. Oh, all right.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Hey, Saturday Night Live, Dakota Johnson, the host, and Taylor
- 25:54Speaker 1: Swift comes on. I mean, what is this relationship they
- 25:58Speaker 1: have all of a sudden?
- 25:59Speaker 4: Yeah, these two are the new best friends, and the
- 26:02Speaker 4: one that's really seething with jealousy is her old best friend,
- 26:06Speaker 4: Blake Lively. If you remember, Taylor got dragged into Blake
- 26:09Speaker 4: Lively's lawsuit with Justin Baldoni, a sexual harassment, sexual lawsuit
- 26:15Speaker 4: that ultimately was settled but went away. But Taylor and...
- 26:20Speaker 4: Blake fell out. It was a public falling out. Blake
- 26:23Speaker 4: was not invited to the wedding. They have not spoken
- 26:26Speaker 4: in a long time. And Taylor now has moved on.
- 26:28Speaker 4: And her new best friend is Dakota Johnson. They have
- 26:31Speaker 4: been friends for a while, but now they are particularly close.
- 26:34Speaker 4: And I'm assuming the reason is because Blake has gone.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Blake and Dakota never really got along that well. And
- 26:42Speaker 4: now that Blake's out of the picture... Taylor's there 24-7.
- 26:44Speaker 4: So it does sting, doesn't it? It must really sting,
- 26:48Speaker 4: because on Saturday night, Blake Lively was watching SNL, and
- 26:52Speaker 4: there was her former best friend who has clearly, clearly
- 26:56Speaker 4: moved on with someone new.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Wow. Rob Shooter, this can't be true. You're reporting that
- 27:02Speaker 1: Lauren Sanchez pushing her husband... Jeff Bezos to run for president?
- 27:07Speaker 1: That can't be.
- 27:08Speaker 4: It sounds bizarre. But you know what? I heard 12
- 27:12Speaker 4: years ago that Donald Trump was thinking of running for
- 27:15Speaker 4: president and nobody believed it. Stranger things have happened. And
- 27:20Speaker 4: so Jeff Bezos has arguably started one of the most
- 27:24Speaker 4: successful companies of all time. He knows how to run Amazon.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Lauren is wildly ambitious. I've known her for about 20 years.
- 27:32Speaker 4: She used to be the weekend host of a show
- 27:34Speaker 4: called Extra Extra, which is an entertainment show. And I
- 27:38Speaker 4: used to go to the set with clients and Lauren
- 27:40Speaker 4: was the host. And even back then, we knew she
- 27:42Speaker 4: was wildly ambitious, which is a good thing. I don't
- 27:45Speaker 4: think anybody knew she would end up marrying... one of
- 27:48Speaker 4: the richest men in the world. I spoke to some
- 27:51Speaker 4: of her friends and they said she has been around
- 27:53Speaker 4: Trump and the White House a lot and it is intoxicating.
- 27:57Speaker 4: She was at the inauguration. She was there a couple
- 28:00Speaker 4: of weeks ago for the big state dinner for China.
- 28:03Speaker 4: And it is intoxicating. And Lauren has figured out that maybe, maybe,
- 28:09Speaker 4: it sounds crazy, doesn't it? But maybe we could have
- 28:13Speaker 4: a President Bezos. He's certainly got enough money to run.
- 28:16Speaker 4: He doesn't need to raise money. He knows how to
- 28:18Speaker 4: manage a big company. But she's the one that's pushing.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I'm not sure that he's as interested in politics as
- 28:24Speaker 4: she is. And I'm not even sure she's that political.
- 28:28Speaker 4: But she would love to be first, ladies.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're forgetting a big factor. Donald Trump, love
- 28:33Speaker 1: him or hate him, was an incredible talker. As a
- 28:36Speaker 1: talk show guest, he was the best. He had his
- 28:39Speaker 1: own TV show. He was an incredible speaker. He was
- 28:42Speaker 1: such an unbelievable person.
- 28:43Speaker 4: I'm with you. I'm with you. But you've met these
- 28:46Speaker 4: rich people. They think they are invincible. They think they
- 28:51Speaker 4: can do anything. And they have a level of confidence.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Jeff Bezos has a swagger about him. that a little
- 28:59Speaker 4: bald guy shouldn't have. Like, he just walks like he
- 29:03Speaker 4: is a king. And he's got billions of dollars to
- 29:06Speaker 4: back him up. So if he's got a wife who
- 29:09Speaker 4: is pushing him, and he does listen to Lauren, who knows?
- 29:13Speaker 4: You're right, there's a million reasons. There's nobody like Trump.
- 29:18Speaker 4: There'll never, ever be another Trump in our lifetime. But
- 29:21Speaker 4: I do think people mistake that. And they think... If
- 29:26Speaker 4: he can do it, and he makes it look so effortless,
- 29:28Speaker 4: doesn't he? He makes it look as if it's easy.
- 29:30Speaker 4: It's not easy. It's really, really hard. But the impression
- 29:33Speaker 4: he gives is if I can do it, you can
- 29:35Speaker 4: do it. We know that's not true. I'm not sure
- 29:38Speaker 4: Lauren Sanchez knows that.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but remember Bloomberg, who's probably better qualified than Bezos
- 29:44Speaker 1: to run. Bloomberg gets in the debate.
- 29:46Speaker 4: And goes, and couldn't talk.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And Bezos is far worse. Bezos, you can't run and
- 29:53Speaker 1: talk like this. Somebody has to tell him.
- 29:59Speaker 6: You're right.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Well, this all figures out in the wash, doesn't it?
- 30:02Speaker 4: Now we're at that really exciting time that now, with
- 30:06Speaker 4: a few years left of the Trump presidency, it's starting
- 30:08Speaker 4: to get interesting. Who will run? For a long time,
- 30:11Speaker 4: The Rock talked about running the celebrity, the action hero.
- 30:15Speaker 4: I don't think he will. Matthew McConaughey's name. has come up.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Trump has opened up politics in the most exciting way.
- 30:23Speaker 4: And now instead of those old boring families, the Bushes
- 30:26Speaker 4: and the Clintons, who we've just had forever, the Kennedys,
- 30:29Speaker 4: I think we might see some really exciting, some wacky,
- 30:33Speaker 4: some odd, some maybe great. But I think over the
- 30:37Speaker 4: next couple of years, we're going to see a lot
- 30:38Speaker 4: of names thrown into that hat.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm afraid you're right. Hey, before we run out
- 30:42Speaker 1: of time, tell us about your YouTube channel.
- 30:45Speaker 7: Oh, thank you.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Thank you, my friend. Yes, I started a YouTube channel.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Friends of mine have YouTube channels, and they are getting
- 30:51Speaker 4: millions and millions of viewers. Now, in Britain, the BBC
- 30:55Speaker 4: is no longer the number one network. YouTube is. Here
- 30:58Speaker 4: in America, YouTube now gets more viewers than ABC, CBS,
- 31:02Speaker 4: and NBC combined. And the luxury of a YouTube channel...
- 31:06Speaker 4: is I can do it in my own living room.
- 31:08Speaker 4: So a couple of weeks ago, I tested out a
- 31:11Speaker 4: morning show, 9 a.m. every morning, five days a week,
- 31:13Speaker 4: 20 minutes of celebrity gossip. It's me at home. It's
- 31:16Speaker 4: me bare bones. It's me and a microphone and a camera,
- 31:19Speaker 4: and we're having so much fun. And so if you're
- 31:21Speaker 4: on YouTube, check out Rob Schuster Gossip and subscribe, like,
- 31:25Speaker 4: and each morning you'll get a little bit of your
- 31:28Speaker 4: celebrity news.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Yeah, if you can't do it in the morning, you
- 31:29Speaker 1: can just do it anytime. It's on all day, right?
- 31:31Speaker 4: You can do it anytime. It's wild, isn't it? Like,
- 31:34Speaker 4: I've changed. Like, I used to get up every morning
- 31:36Speaker 4: and watch the Today Show or GMA, and now my
- 31:40Speaker 4: life is different. I consume YouTube. I get a lot
- 31:42Speaker 4: of information from YouTube. More people are watching. Jimmy Fallon
- 31:46Speaker 4: on YouTube than they are on TV. YouTube is this
- 31:50Speaker 4: amazing place. Because now if you've got a voice, if
- 31:54Speaker 4: you want to do a show, you can do it.
- 31:56Speaker 4: It took me a little while to build up my courage.
- 31:58Speaker 4: I don't want to do a show that's not very good.
- 32:00Speaker 4: And so I did some practice runs. I met with
- 32:02Speaker 4: some producer friends of mine and polished it. And then
- 32:05Speaker 4: just a few days ago, we started and today was
- 32:08Speaker 4: sort of like our official launch. So check me out
- 32:10Speaker 4: on YouTube, All your favorite naughty but nice gossip five
- 32:13Speaker 4: days a week.
- 32:14Speaker 1: All right. Go to Rob Shooter Gossip on YouTube. Rob
- 32:17Speaker 1: Shooter Gossip on YouTube. Make sure you sign up for
- 32:19Speaker 1: his sub stack. It's naughty but nice on sub stack.
- 32:22Speaker 1: And his new novel is already a big seller called
- 32:25Speaker 1: It Started With A Whisper. You can get that at
- 32:28Speaker 1: Amazon or wherever you get your books. And Rob Shooter,
- 32:31Speaker 1: great stuff. Thanks for being with us.
- 32:34Speaker 4: I always appreciate you. Take care, my friend. Talk soon.
- 32:35Speaker 4: All right.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Take care. Hey, don't forget, coming up... Don't forget, I'm
- 32:40Speaker 1: on 9 to noon, actually, every day. It's three hours now.
- 32:43Speaker 1: If there's anybody that still doesn't know that, the show
- 32:46Speaker 1: starts at 9 a.m. every morning, 9 to noon every day.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Then at 12 noon, Buck Sexton, Clay Travis. You get
- 32:53Speaker 1: two hosts for the price of one and lots of
- 32:56Speaker 1: great stuff there. 3 o'clock, you got the most listened
- 32:58Speaker 1: to radio show in America, Sean Hannity. You got Jesse
- 33:02Speaker 1: Kelly every night at 6. The very funny Jimmy Fela
- 33:05Speaker 1: every night, 9 to midnight. Oh, and of course, don't forget,
- 33:08Speaker 1: Curtis Sliwa, Larry Menti, 6 to 9 every morning, 710WOR. Now,
- 33:15Speaker 1: much more Mark. Mark Simone. Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 33:22Speaker 5: On 710WOR.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Well, hey, crazy Jack Smith, that bug-eyed weirdo prosecutor Jack Smith,
- 33:31Speaker 1: testified in front of Congress that he's not a partisan,
- 33:35Speaker 1: that he's totally neutral. He's not anti-Trump. There's nothing partisan.
- 33:39Speaker 1: And then look at this. Two days later, this weekend,
- 33:42Speaker 1: he's at a No Kings rally, big No Kings protest,
- 33:46Speaker 1: wearing a No Kings t-shirt. And by the way, I've
- 33:52Speaker 1: never seen a guy look worse in a t-shirt. This
- 33:54Speaker 1: is not for you, Jack Smith, these t-shirts. It's like
- 33:57Speaker 1: a tight t-shirt. Looks even creepier in it. But there
- 34:00Speaker 1: he is with a No Kings t-shirt on. Why would
- 34:04Speaker 1: you do that two days after you just testified under
- 34:06Speaker 1: oath that you're not a crazed partisan? Who knows with
- 34:10Speaker 1: this guy? He's just one strange guy. Hey, Yankees tonight.
- 34:15Speaker 1: The playoffs resume. Big game tonight. They absolutely have to
- 34:19Speaker 1: win tonight. They cannot fall two games behind and hope
- 34:23Speaker 1: to win this series. That's tonight. And then Wednesday night
- 34:27Speaker 1: it moves back to Yankee Stadium. Give them a little advantage,
- 34:30Speaker 1: I guess. But they're up against the the best team
- 34:33Speaker 1: in baseball. It's going to be a beautiful day today. Bright,
- 34:37Speaker 1: sunny day. It's going to be like this all week.
- 34:39Speaker 1: It's not going to be warm. It's going to be fall-like.
- 34:42Speaker 1: High will be about 70, and then the rest of
- 34:45Speaker 1: the week it'll be in the 60s. But nothing but
- 34:47Speaker 1: sunshine for a week. There is no rain in the
- 34:51Speaker 1: forecast for two weeks. I have never seen that before.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Now remember, these forecasts can change. They're really only good
- 34:59Speaker 1: for about three days out. But Right now, no rain
- 35:02Speaker 1: in the forecast anywhere. Hey, we're out of time. I'll
- 35:05Speaker 1: be back tomorrow. Don't forget, it's three hours every day,
- 35:07Speaker 1: 9 to noon. See you tomorrow at 9, right here
- 35:10Speaker 1: on 710WOR.
