Speaker 1: Wow, hey, everybody, welcome to another edition of the NFL
• 0:13
Speaker 1: Fantasy Football Show. It's me your man, MG, Marcus Grand
• 0:16
Speaker 1: joined by Michael F. Florio and Lakwan Jones.
• 0:18
  Speaker 2: The quiet.
• 0:19
Speaker 1: I'm assuming that the Rams are Are they playing a
• 0:21
Speaker 1: game this week? Oh yeah, oh oh absolutely, man, we're outside.
• 0:25
Speaker 1: We're barking, man and beat those forty winers. You already notivies, Marcus.
• 0:28
Speaker 1: I'll start the show off like this, man, Come on,
• 0:30
Speaker 1: come on, where's the hammer?
• 0:31
Speaker 2: No Molnier, Oh no, Monier makes you appearance there close by.
• 0:37
Speaker 2: You already know. We got a whole lot to get
• 0:39
Speaker 2: into for the show today.
• 0:40
Speaker 1: We'll give you starts and sins for week five, plus
• 0:42
Speaker 1: some running backs to watch in the primetime matchups. Not
• 0:45
Speaker 1: to mention bold predictions for the weekend, but of course
• 0:48
Speaker 1: gonna get heavy into these starts and sits, which you
• 0:51
Speaker 1: can always check them out at NFL dot com slash
• 0:53
Speaker 1: starts sid Michael Floya puts those together every week. So
• 0:56
Speaker 1: let's start with the quarterbacks.
• 0:57
Speaker 2: Who your starts? Who are your sits for Week five?
• 1:00
Speaker 2: I think Justin Fields is an absolute must start in
• 1:03
Speaker 2: this one. I think Justin Herbert all one concerns at all.
• 1:06
Speaker 2: I think this could be a back and forth, higher
• 1:08
Speaker 2: scoring game with Jayden on the other side. Don't call
• 1:11
Speaker 2: me at Homer Drake may. I know the Bills have
• 1:13
Speaker 2: allowed the fewest passing yards in the NFL, but that
• 1:16
Speaker 2: to me feels a little bit of who they have played.
• 1:19
Speaker 2: Plus they allow the most rushing yards to quarterbacks. Jared
• 1:23
Speaker 2: Goff because the Lions, if they want to put up
• 1:24
Speaker 2: one hundred this week, I think they can. And then
• 1:27
Speaker 2: Daniel Jones. My theory with him is you play him
• 1:29
Speaker 2: when he's not going to be under pressure. And the
• 1:31
Speaker 2: Raiders despite having Max Crosby having created a ton of
• 1:34
Speaker 2: pressure this year, and in my sis, Trevor mid Lawrence
• 1:39
Speaker 2: because I think the nicknames speaks for itself. Carson Wentz
• 1:43
Speaker 2: it was all in ketchup mode last week, and I
• 1:45
Speaker 2: don't think that'll be the case against the Browns. And
• 1:47
Speaker 2: then Geno Smith. It's it's been a rough start of
• 1:50
Speaker 2: the year for Gino Smith.
• 1:52
Speaker 1: He's throwing it a lot. He's also throwing it to
• 1:54
Speaker 1: the other team a lot. Yeah, which is not good.
• 1:56
Speaker 1: I'm no football genius, but you want to throw it
• 1:58
Speaker 1: to the guys who were in the same jersey as you.
• 2:00
Speaker 2: General someone in our comments. I did see he was like,
• 2:03
Speaker 2: who's Gino Smith's brother on the show? And I'm like, yeah,
• 2:06
Speaker 2: his hair in his back. It's just you know, like
• 2:09
  Speaker 2: I can't I can't see it. At this point, I
• 2:11
Speaker 2: just I just back.
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: I can't, I can't get away. I grew my hair out,
• 2:15
Speaker 1: Gino grew his hair out.
• 2:17
Speaker 2: So this is just is what it is.
• 2:19
  Speaker 3: Uh.
• 2:19
Speaker 1: Anyway, let's talk about some of the guys that Florio
• 2:22
Speaker 1: just mentioned in his start and sit list.
• 2:24
Speaker 2: Drake May, I don't remember you.
• 2:26
Speaker 1: Were you on the Drake May trade at the start
• 2:27
Speaker 1: of the year of the quater? Did you come on later?
• 2:29
Speaker 1: But either way, are you are you on board now
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: with Drake May?
• 2:34
Speaker 2: I came on later because last season was.
• 2:35
Speaker 3: Kind of rough, man like. He averaged one hundred and
• 2:38
Speaker 3: seventy five passing yards per game. It was got awful
• 2:40
Speaker 3: with a ton of turnovers. But this season, this boy
• 2:43
Speaker 3: is balling man two plus touchdowns in the last three weeks.
• 2:46
Speaker 3: Rushing upside is not as high as I expected, but
• 2:49
Speaker 3: he is making up for it by dropping touchdowns in
• 2:51
Speaker 3: the end zone. So I do like Drake May this week,
• 2:54
Speaker 3: Like Florio said, I mean the Bill's defense is good,
• 2:57
Speaker 3: but I do think it's based on who they play
• 3:00
Speaker 3: at quarterback. This is their biggest threat at the quarterback
• 3:02
Speaker 3: position this week, especially somebody that's mobile where the Bills
• 3:05
Speaker 3: are struggling to stop the run. So I do think
• 3:08
Speaker 3: Drake May is a strong play for me because this
• 3:10
Speaker 3: guy is completing the ball because guess what, he is
• 3:12
Speaker 3: leading the lead and completion percentage. I did not see
• 3:15
  Speaker 3: this coming, guys.
• 3:17
Speaker 1: I will correct you on one thing. I mean, they
• 3:18
Speaker 1: did play Lamar Jackson, you know, like, so they faced
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: some that's.
• 3:23
Speaker 2: The only good one. Well, I will say Justin I
• 3:25
Speaker 2: think Justin Fields, I'm not going to disparage him by
• 3:28
Speaker 2: any stretch. And the Bills that shut him down, are you,
• 3:30
Speaker 2: I mean, are you?
• 3:31
Speaker 1: Are you trying to pretend that that Drake May is
• 3:34
Speaker 1: better than Lamar Jackson?
• 3:35
Speaker 2: Is that what we're doing?
• 3:36
Speaker 3: Don't do that, Marcus No Jackson, Like what are we doing?
• 3:42
Speaker 2: Okay? Right now? Right now?
• 3:45
Speaker 3: This is the biggest thread they're dealing with this week,
• 3:47
Speaker 3: because I do think Drake May is going to surprise
• 3:49
Speaker 3: a lot of folks this week, Like people are still
• 3:50
Speaker 3: looking down on him, like this dude is a top
• 3:53
Speaker 3: ten quarterback this season?
• 3:54
Speaker 2: Stop talking down. I'm a May believer.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: Like, I just wanted to clarify what you're recasing than Lamar.
• 4:04
Speaker 2: He's not both in Lamar Jackson. No, he reminds me
• 4:07
Speaker 2: of young Josh Allen maybe in the future. I just
• 4:09
Speaker 2: wanted to clear that up.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: Like, I'm just trying to help you so that I'm
• 4:12
Speaker 1: helping you so that the fantasy streets don't come after
• 4:15
Speaker 1: you about this, right, I'm doing you a favor.
• 4:18
Speaker 2: Are we still doing the Josh Allen two point oho?
• 4:20
Speaker 2: The two point zero Josh Allen with Drake May? I
• 4:23
Speaker 2: watched him a lot, Drake May, and I'm always like,
• 4:25
Speaker 2: he looks like he looks right now. I think a
• 4:28
Speaker 2: lot like year two Josh Allen, where he has the
• 4:32
Speaker 2: skill set he's starting to take come end of the offense,
• 4:34
Speaker 2: but there's still like a player to a game where
• 4:36
Speaker 2: you're like, what were you thinking?
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: Dude?
• 4:39
Speaker 2: Josh Allen had a lot of that early in his
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: career too.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: I mean, look, if the development continues, then I think
• 4:45
Speaker 1: we're all for it here in Fantasy. On the s
• 4:48
Speaker 1: side of things, Lawan, would you like to bring out
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: the mid ometer?
• 4:52
Speaker 3: Yes, we are probably gonna have to retire this because
• 4:57
Speaker 3: this seems like he's not.
• 4:59
Speaker 2: We can't retire it for two more weeks.
• 5:01
Speaker 1: Didn't always say sindown, but that was at it because
• 5:05
Speaker 1: it was just like, what is this guy doing?
• 5:07
Speaker 2: And obviously he's going to be a sit until further notice.
• 5:09
Speaker 3: I honestly think he is nearing like the drop zone,
• 5:13
Speaker 3: Like I don't understand why people are still rostering Trevor
• 5:15
Speaker 3: Mid Lawrence right now or he low we should be
• 5:18
  Speaker 3: calling him, because I don't think he's played mid. He's
• 5:20
Speaker 3: just been playing just bad. So I don't understand why
• 5:23
Speaker 3: folks are still rostering this guy. So having him as
• 5:26
Speaker 3: a sit, he needs to sit on the wire until
• 5:28
Speaker 3: further notice, until we see life coming from Duvall.
• 5:31
Speaker 2: We I will say, though, you can't retire the board
• 5:34
Speaker 2: for at least two more weeks because week seven wake
• 5:37
Speaker 2: up bright and early in London we get Rams Jags
• 5:41
Speaker 2: and like how toxic this guy is? You gotta play.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: You have to play the Jaguars on their home turf
• 5:45
Speaker 1: in London, Like I don't know, man, the Jaguars in
• 5:47
Speaker 1: London are a different animal, no pun intended, like they
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: are different.
• 5:51
Speaker 2: That is home, that is home for them, so.
• 5:53
Speaker 1: Like, you know, you really might be walking into a
• 5:55
Speaker 1: hornet's nest in a couple of weeks.
• 5:57
Speaker 2: It's fine. We always make the home team. James feel disappointed.
• 6:02
Speaker 2: That's gonna show up like a red phone booth or
• 6:04
Speaker 2: something like that. I have like he's gonna have.
• 6:07
Speaker 1: Something planned looking forward to seeing that one. Let's move
• 6:11
Speaker 1: our attention to the running backs. Floya, who are your
• 6:13
Speaker 1: starts and sits for the week.
• 6:15
  Speaker 2: I think Alvin Kamara. I know he's had a couple
• 6:17
Speaker 2: of down games, and Kendre Miller's getting more involved, but
• 6:20
Speaker 2: it's the Giants. David Montgomery. Last week was awful, but
• 6:24
Speaker 2: this week they get the Bengals. They're gonna do whatever
• 6:26
Speaker 2: they want against them. Camp Scattabo thirteen or more Fantasy
• 6:29
Speaker 2: points in three straight inning, absolutely fed volume. And then again,
• 6:33
Speaker 2: don't call me a homer Stevenson and Traveon Henderson because
• 6:36
Speaker 2: the Bills have get ran all over this year and
• 6:39
Speaker 2: they allow runs of ten plus yards nearly one out
• 6:42
Speaker 2: of every five carries to running backs. And then the
• 6:44
Speaker 2: sis Chase Brown another tough matchup for him. I think
• 6:47
Speaker 2: that O line is just dragging everyone down there at
• 6:50
Speaker 2: starting him right now is hoping for catches in catchup
• 6:53
Speaker 2: mode Jordan Mason because the Browns defense is the best
• 6:56
Speaker 2: run defense in the league, and I I don't know
• 7:00
Speaker 2: if you could bank on him getting catches with Xavier
• 7:02
Speaker 2: Scott breaking out last week in that role. Tony Pollard,
• 7:06
Speaker 2: he's getting volume, he's not doing anything with it right
• 7:08
Speaker 2: now fantasy wise. Isaiah Pacheco, I know last week was fun,
• 7:12
Speaker 2: but because he scored a touchdown, but they're using three
• 7:16
Speaker 2: backs now and that is I think last week was
• 7:18
Speaker 2: actually a step back for Pacheco, even though it was
• 7:20
Speaker 2: his best fantasy game. And then Zach Sharboney. He outscored
• 7:23
Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker last week, but the Bucks have low key
• 7:26
Speaker 2: been really good against the run this season. Zach Scharboney's
• 7:29
Speaker 2: greatest value is being able to fall into the end zone.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: I mean he gets he gets pretty much all the
• 7:33
Speaker 1: goal line opportunities there. Tony Pollard is kind of the
• 7:35
Speaker 1: only thing in Tennessee that was even mildly interesting. So
• 7:38
Speaker 1: if we're taking him away this week, it's bleak.
• 7:42
Speaker 2: There's not a Titan I would want to start, you.
• 7:45
Speaker 1: Know, there's not a Titan apparently that the cam Ward
• 7:46
Speaker 1: wants to start based on the way he described the
• 7:48
Speaker 1: offense over the weekend.
• 7:50
Speaker 2: I'm gonna keep it a buck. Yeah, let's go the
• 7:54
Speaker 2: good side of things.
• 7:55
Speaker 1: Though I named that wasn't on the board but is
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: in the list.
• 8:00
  Speaker 2: Uh he marks.
• 8:01
Speaker 1: But also let's talk about the Patriots running back. So
• 8:03
Speaker 1: ramondre Stevenson, Travion Henderson, one of these guys has to
• 8:07
  Speaker 1: pop right, one.
• 8:08
Speaker 2: Of them, one of them.
• 8:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, I do think I'm leaning more on Ramandre Stevenson
• 8:14
Speaker 3: because it does not seem to.
• 8:16
Speaker 2: Be that he's going to go away at this point.
• 8:18
Speaker 3: I mean, we saw last week where he was a
• 8:20
Speaker 3: guy that was kind playing in the background. In the
• 8:22
Speaker 3: first half, it was a lot of Trevion Henderson. But
• 8:24
Speaker 3: then you look at that second half of the game.
• 8:26
Speaker 3: He plays seventy percent of the snaps and he led
• 8:29
Speaker 3: them in touches in the second half. So he's not
• 8:31
Speaker 3: going to go anywhere. Like, I do feel like this
• 8:33
Speaker 3: matchup seems like it's juicy for Trevion Henderson. But I'm
• 8:37
Speaker 3: very fearful that this might end up being on Ramondre
• 8:40
Speaker 3: Stevenson's plate to really put up the fantasy points over
• 8:42
  Speaker 3: Travon Henderson.
• 8:44
Speaker 1: Like part of me wants the Henderson breakout to happen.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: I thought last week maybe after the Stevenson and Gibson fumbles,
• 8:52
Speaker 1: But just going based on the metrics, it's still Remandre
• 8:56
Speaker 1: who's getting most of the opportunities. He's getting most of
• 8:59
Speaker 1: the snaps, more the touches, So just you know, again,
• 9:02
Speaker 1: you just follow the metrics, you're looking at Remandre. But
• 9:05
Speaker 1: I still am waiting for the moment that the Patriots
• 9:08
Speaker 1: are around and say, hey man, we got Remandre or Trevion,
• 9:10
Speaker 1: we should give him the ball.
• 9:11
Speaker 2: That's gonna happen, right, Like I think I did write,
• 9:15
Speaker 2: I think Stevenson is the safer floor play. I think
• 9:17
Speaker 2: Henderson is the home run hitting. But if you're listening,
• 9:21
Speaker 2: trade for their next three games they get the Bills,
• 9:24
Speaker 2: the Saints, the Titans, and then their scheduled late in
• 9:27
Speaker 2: the year is awesome as well. Like I think this
• 9:29
Speaker 2: is the time to try to get Trevion on your team,
• 9:31
  Speaker 2: all right, So.
• 9:31
Speaker 1: Maybe a buy low opportunity there. On the other side,
• 9:35
Speaker 1: it's been a rough start to the season for Isaiah
• 9:37
Speaker 1: Pacheco Lakwan. Would you like to stick up for your
• 9:40
Speaker 1: your fellow Jersey Are.
• 9:42
Speaker 2: You New Jerseyans, New Jersey Heights.
• 9:44
Speaker 3: What is the New Jersey ins Jerseys? Okay, make Jersey,
• 9:47
Speaker 3: That's all that matters.
• 9:47
Speaker 2: Would you like to would you like to send your
• 9:49
Speaker 2: fellow Jersey in for your fellow pork role leader.
• 9:53
Speaker 3: I want to put it out here like I love
• 9:55
Speaker 3: supporting guys that from New Jersey. You know all the
• 9:58
Speaker 3: players we we like to support to, but this one
• 10:00
Speaker 3: I cannot man like he is near the drop zone?
• 10:03
Speaker 3: Is he gonna go Taylor Ham on the Jaguars. He
• 10:06
Speaker 3: is not going to go Taylor Ham. Marcus, We're now
• 10:10
Speaker 3: you're gonna acknowledge Taylor Ham. It's pork role. But I
• 10:14
Speaker 3: do think we're Burshard smith Man. His involvement is increasing.
• 10:17
Speaker 3: He seems to be the guy that's gonna get a
• 10:19
Speaker 3: lot of the valuable opportunities in fantasy, being that if
• 10:22
Speaker 3: you were in PPR Leagus. He's a former wide receiver,
• 10:25
Speaker 3: natural hands. He's a speedster as well, and we know
• 10:27
Speaker 3: the Chiefs love speed and the guy like Matt Naggy
• 10:30
Speaker 3: loves peppering targets to the running back position. We've seen
• 10:33
Speaker 3: his time in Chicago with Treie Cohen and how much
• 10:36
Speaker 3: Voume he's seen and how he was able to benefit
• 10:38
Speaker 3: in fantasy, so I do think this may be pour
• 10:41
Speaker 3: one out for the homie man. It might be over
• 10:43
Speaker 3: for Procheco. In starting lineups.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: In my Sleepers column this week, which you can find
• 10:47
Speaker 1: at NFL dot com slash sleepers, I have Brishard Smith
• 10:51
Speaker 1: in there right now, let's go. I think the opportunity
• 10:54
Speaker 1: is growing for him. Plus he has the pass catching chops.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: You know, I don't think they're really use Kareem Hunt
• 11:00
Speaker 1: quite that way anymore. I think Brishard Smith could take
• 11:03
Speaker 1: over that role. I like him with some sleeper vibes
• 11:06
Speaker 1: this week against Jacksonville on Monday night time. To check
• 11:09
Speaker 1: out the first to score odds for the Sunday night
• 11:11
Speaker 1: matchup between the Patriots and the Bills. James Cook a
• 11:15
Speaker 1: minus two hundred to score the first touchdown, so very
• 11:18
Speaker 1: strong odds on Cook, Traveon Henderson and Khalil Shakir following
• 11:24
Speaker 1: behind Cook, and then Stefan Diggs who came to life
• 11:26
Speaker 1: last week. Drake Maywold said they got to get the
• 11:29
Speaker 1: ball to digs More and they absolutely did give the
• 11:31
Speaker 1: ball to digs More. So, Lucull we sort of talked
• 11:34
Speaker 1: about this. We were sort of hoping for it. What
• 11:37
Speaker 1: are the chances that we actually do get the Traveon
• 11:40
Speaker 1: Henderson game that Mike Vrabel, Josh mcgann' will be like,
• 11:43
Speaker 1: hey man, we should actually load this guy up with targets.
• 11:45
Speaker 3: It touches there's opportunity. And then I understand folks who
• 11:49
Speaker 3: are going out there putting in starting lineups. This is
• 11:51
Speaker 3: a matchup where he should excel. He should be able
• 11:53
Speaker 3: to bounce outside, put his foot in the ground and
• 11:55
Speaker 3: find himself in the end zone eventually. But we're not
• 11:58
Speaker 3: getting that security that he is getting the max opportunities
• 12:02
Speaker 3: right now. So I understand if you're putting him out
• 12:04
Speaker 3: there in starting lineups with the bye weeks, so at
• 12:06
Speaker 3: the end of the day, you're going to take risk
• 12:08
Speaker 3: putting him in starting lineups because he's not the starting
• 12:10
Speaker 3: running back. So I do think folks are going to
• 12:12
Speaker 3: be chasing us for weeks and weeks in how I'm
• 12:15
  Speaker 3: chasing RJ.
• 12:15
  Speaker 2: Harvey.
• 12:16
Speaker 3: It's fine, I'm looking at the other side of the fense.
• 12:18
Speaker 3: It's not that green for Trevion Henderson either, So we
• 12:20
Speaker 3: just have to wait for these guys to have their
• 12:22
Speaker 3: turn the step up to take over the backfield entirely.
• 12:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, just I think at this point, I know you
• 12:27
Speaker 1: probably spent some decent draft capital on Henderson, but I
• 12:30
Speaker 1: think until he shows something, even in a on paper
• 12:34
Speaker 1: good matchup like this, it's just hard to put him
• 12:36
Speaker 1: in a lineup until we actually see him get those
• 12:38
Speaker 1: opportunities right now when we come back, we got starts
• 12:42
Speaker 1: and sins for wide receivers and tight ends. Plus Chiefs
• 12:46
Speaker 1: and Jaguars has become a really intriguing matchup for Monday
• 12:49
Speaker 1: Night Football. Stick around for more of the NFL Fantasy
• 12:51
Speaker 1: Football Show. Continuing our preview of some of the week
• 12:58
Speaker 1: five prime time games, go to Monday Night Football. The
• 13:01
Speaker 1: Kansas City Chiefs at the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacks a surprised
• 13:05
Speaker 1: three and one, the Chiefs sitting at two and two.
• 13:07
Speaker 1: You can see that game eight fifteen at pm Eastern
• 13:10
Speaker 1: on ESPN ABC and ESPN Deportes.
• 13:13
Speaker 2: Florio has Travis etn become a must start now only
• 13:17
Speaker 2: if you like fantasy points. Okay, sure, he's scored eleven
• 13:20
Speaker 2: or more in every game, three of which he scored
• 13:23
Speaker 2: sixteen or more. He's dominating volume right now, Like, yeah,
• 13:26
Speaker 2: he has been of all the middle to late round
• 13:29
Speaker 2: running backs. So far, he's been the biggest breakout of them.
• 13:32
Speaker 2: And yeah, if you have him, you know this and
• 13:34
Speaker 2: you should be starting, even in a tough matchup like
• 13:36
Speaker 2: I know the Chiefs are tough against the run. I'm
• 13:38
Speaker 2: not getting away from him in that one. No.
• 13:40
Speaker 1: And that's funny because remember, coming into the season, we're like,
• 13:43
Speaker 1: I don't know, do the Jaguars still like Travis Etn
• 13:45
Speaker 1: or we're gonna see Tank Bigsby?
• 13:47
Speaker 2: What about Besehall Tuton?
• 13:48
Speaker 1: And after the first four weeks of the season, it
• 13:53
Speaker 1: looks like the reason they traded Tank Bigsby was not
• 13:55
Speaker 1: Basehall Tuton. It was because they decided that, oh, yeah,
• 13:57
Speaker 1: we really do like Travis Etn and we want.
• 13:59
Speaker 2: To give him the ball a lot.
• 14:01
Speaker 1: He's run the ball effectively, he's catching the ball out
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: of the backfield.
• 14:03
Speaker 2: He's doing all the.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: Things we thought Travis Etn was going to do when
• 14:07
Speaker 1: the Jaguars first drafted him. So it's good to see
• 14:10
Speaker 1: him sort of get this opportunity and not just get
• 14:11
Speaker 1: the opportunity, but play well with the opportunity. He's been
• 14:15
Speaker 1: given back to our starts and since going over to
• 14:18
Speaker 1: the wide receiver position, Florida.
• 14:19
Speaker 2: Who was up? Who is down? This week? I'm going
• 14:22
Speaker 2: in on it this week. A J. Brown as a
• 14:25
Speaker 2: start against the Denver Broncos. Why I'm just banking on
• 14:29
Speaker 2: talent here. And he had nine targets last week, eight
• 14:31
Speaker 2: or more and three straight games. You give him that volume.
• 14:33
Speaker 2: I do think eventually him and Hurts are going to
• 14:36
Speaker 2: get on the same page. Garret Wilson is as must
• 14:38
Speaker 2: start as a must start player could be this week
• 14:41
Speaker 2: against the Cowboys. Over eighty yards and a touchdown in
• 14:44
Speaker 2: three or four games. Lakwan's gonna love this. Quinn Johnson
• 14:47
Speaker 2: and Keenan Allen both as starts against the coach and
• 14:51
Speaker 2: big play Xavier Worthy. I think it's a good matchup
• 14:55
Speaker 2: for him one and the volume's going his way. He's
• 14:57
Speaker 2: the deep threat all of that. And then I know
• 15:01
Speaker 2: people were like, well, it's kind of your logic for
• 15:03
Speaker 2: AJ Brown being good enough and getting volume is kind
• 15:06
Speaker 2: of the same as Brian Thomas. The difference is Brian
• 15:08
Speaker 2: Thomas through four weeks as the fourth highest rate of
• 15:12
Speaker 2: uncatchable targets and his catchery would be the worst in
• 15:14
Speaker 2: the last fifteen years. I have digs as a sit
• 15:18
Speaker 2: I know Last week was a big game for him.
• 15:20
Speaker 2: He's still he's finally starting to get more volume, but
• 15:23
Speaker 2: the Bills have been the toughest matchup for receivers. Chris Godwin,
• 15:28
Speaker 2: he had ten targets last week, but he looked like
• 15:30
Speaker 2: he's still shaking off the rust. The Seahawks are really tough.
• 15:32
Speaker 2: Gee Higgins, I want no, absolutely no part of and
• 15:34
Speaker 2: I feel the same way with Jerry Judy, especially with
• 15:37
  Speaker 2: Dylan Gabriel starting.
• 15:38
Speaker 1: Looking at the starts on the wide receiver side. We
• 15:41
Speaker 1: talked about this earlier in the week, Lakwan, but it
• 15:44
Speaker 1: looks like Chris ol Lobby is making it out of
• 15:46
Speaker 1: the satchel of discontent.
• 15:48
Speaker 2: Is this a long term thing or is this just
• 15:50
Speaker 2: a week five thing?
• 15:52
Speaker 3: I don't know, man, this feels like it might be
• 15:54
Speaker 3: a long term thing and him crawling out of that
• 15:57
Speaker 3: Sachel man, I don't know him, but Chris o' lobby
• 15:59
Speaker 3: right now is top five in catches and in targets.
• 16:02
Speaker 3: But the yards are a little low, only forty six
• 16:04
Speaker 3: yards per game that he's getting, so I don't think
• 16:07
Speaker 3: that these targets are valuable. But guess what, guys, I
• 16:10
Speaker 3: started Chris o'lovey last week over Jamar Chase. I had
• 16:14
Speaker 3: the screenshot, I sent it to the group chat, and
• 16:16
Speaker 3: I was happy I made that decision. So Florio, I'm
• 16:19
Speaker 3: not too worried about Brian Thomas Junior for the next
• 16:22
Speaker 3: couple of weeks because of Trevor mid Lawrence. But guess what, guys,
• 16:25
Speaker 3: I'm actually sitting AJ Brown this week for one of
• 16:28
Speaker 3: the guys that Florio's saying that he wants to sit,
• 16:31
Speaker 3: which is kind of surprising.
• 16:32
  Speaker 1: Man.
• 16:32
Speaker 3: That that revenge game, it's gonna be great for Stefon Diggs.
• 16:36
Speaker 3: So I'm starting Stefon Diggs over AJ Brown this week.
• 16:39
Speaker 3: I mean, guys, I'm already getting rosted in my group
• 16:41
Speaker 3: chat right now about it. But it's fine. I'm here
• 16:44
Speaker 3: for w's. I'm not strapped to big names, man, I'm
• 16:47
Speaker 3: strapped too fantasy points and that's what we're gonna be
• 16:49
  Speaker 3: rolling with.
• 16:50
Speaker 1: I mean, look, you proved that earlier in the year
• 16:52
Speaker 1: when you were like, I'm gonna start LC Ioman Or
• 16:54
Speaker 1: over Jamar Chase. And I mean right now, after one game,
• 16:58
Speaker 1: Chase does have of a slight lead over Io manor
• 17:03
  Speaker 1: slightly slight lead.
• 17:05
Speaker 3: It is a lead nonetheless like Io Manner had six points,
• 17:08
Speaker 3: Jamar Chase had seven.
• 17:09
Speaker 2: Do you see where I'm going? Six? Seven? The thing,
• 17:12
Speaker 2: the thing that's so sad about this bet was like
• 17:15
Speaker 2: if Iomanner put up like fourteen and it was it'd
• 17:18
Speaker 2: be like, all right, cool, six and seven is just impressing.
• 17:22
Speaker 2: This is this is a pillow fight right now.
• 17:23
Speaker 1: This is not particularly great at all. So we'll see
• 17:28
Speaker 1: how this continues along. I would say the thing going
• 17:31
Speaker 1: in Jamar Chase's favors at least he didn't have to
• 17:33
Speaker 1: play the Broncos this week.
• 17:37
Speaker 2: Jake Brown is still pretty bad. Yeah, he does not
• 17:40
Speaker 2: look great. But Stephan Diggs, you are fully on board
• 17:43
Speaker 2: with Stephan Diggs this week? Yes?
• 17:45
Speaker 1: Is this a revenge game thing? Is this a Drake
• 17:48
Speaker 1: may is targeting him more thing?
• 17:50
Speaker 2: So I'm gonna go with that.
• 17:52
Speaker 3: Maybe he needed to be slowly ramped up because like
• 17:55
Speaker 3: I was pointing at like, hey, this guy's not getting
• 17:57
Speaker 3: any targets downfield. And then we saw week he finally
• 18:01
Speaker 3: showed some life for fantasy managers because to believe it
• 18:04
Speaker 3: or not, he was near that drop zone as well.
• 18:06
Speaker 3: If they were just going to be having Hunter Henry
• 18:08
Speaker 3: lead the charge for this Patriots offense. But Stefan Diggs
• 18:11
Speaker 3: showing life last week and then him going into this
• 18:13
Speaker 3: game where it's going to be high emotion. This is
• 18:15
Speaker 3: a true revenge game, so I do think he's going
• 18:17
Speaker 3: to try to make his mark felt and make sure
• 18:19
Speaker 3: the Buffalo Bills fill his presence. So I'm definitely going
• 18:23
Speaker 3: to be feeling like he's going to be one of
• 18:24
Speaker 3: those guys in my starting lineups that's going to make
• 18:26
Speaker 3: me proud this week.
• 18:27
Speaker 1: He was there the first few weeks of the season,
• 18:29
  Speaker 1: but I literally I think I said this, I had
• 18:31
Speaker 1: to go and look at the box score to make
• 18:33
Speaker 1: sure he wasn't hurt or something.
• 18:35
Speaker 3: I'm like, before last week he was only targeted on
• 18:39
Speaker 3: four times beyond the sticks. Okay, that's insane, Like everything
• 18:43
Speaker 3: was close to the line of scrimmans for Diggs, and
• 18:45
Speaker 3: I'm like, he's not going to be able to create
• 18:46
Speaker 3: after the catch, being that he's recovering from injury, so
• 18:49
Speaker 3: we need to start utilizing him more downfield. And then
• 18:52
Speaker 3: last week that's what we saw and then you saw
• 18:54
Speaker 3: the results of that.
• 18:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, So hopefully that continues this week for the sake
• 18:58
  Speaker 1: of the.
• 18:58
Speaker 2: Strength of the Bills as there's secondary. That's all I'm
• 19:01
Speaker 2: gonna say. Look at it, Look at Floria, Man, come on,
• 19:03
Speaker 2: don't you watch it?
• 19:05
Speaker 1: So I'm gonna lean like like Christian Benford is a
• 19:08
Speaker 1: lockdown guy, just like I I go. You know, because
• 19:11
Speaker 1: you talk about the Rams struggling its tight ends and
• 19:14
Speaker 1: rushing quarterbacks, like I take that into account, like you
• 19:16
Speaker 1: watch them closely, so he watches the Bill.
• 19:18
Speaker 2: The other thing is like, I just think the running
• 19:20
Speaker 2: game is going to get to the Bills like that,
• 19:22
Speaker 2: and they've been really good downfield. Well we'll see. I mean,
• 19:25
Speaker 2: Dicks could come through there. I do think the Patriots,
• 19:29
Speaker 2: if they can generate a touchdown for Diggs, they're gonna
• 19:32
Speaker 2: try to do so.
• 19:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, uh, finals get the tight ends. So who are
• 19:35
Speaker 1: your starts and sits for the week.
• 19:37
Speaker 2: Tyler Warren is a mustard option, as is Jake Ferguson.
• 19:40
Speaker 2: Like there's very if you don't have Bowers and McBride.
• 19:43
Speaker 2: These guys are the next up at the tight end position.
• 19:46
Speaker 2: Hunter Henry. I know the Bills have been good against
• 19:49
Speaker 2: tight ends, it doesn't matter to me. I like Hunter
• 19:52
Speaker 2: Henry gets used so consistently and the upside is high
• 19:54
Speaker 2: enough to get him in Don Kincaid. I know last
• 19:57
Speaker 2: week was kind of a step back target wise, but
• 19:59
Speaker 2: he he has been consistently utilized for the Bills, so
• 20:02
Speaker 2: I think at a weak tight end position he's in play.
• 20:06
Speaker 2: Zach Ertz is the top slot target for the Commanders,
• 20:09
Speaker 2: and the Chargers weakness on defense has been against the
• 20:11
Speaker 2: slot and in the six. TJ. Hockinson one good game,
• 20:16
Speaker 2: I don't trust it, and the Browns are a really
• 20:18
Speaker 2: tough defense. Dallas Goddard has three touchdowns in his last
• 20:22
Speaker 2: two games. He also has just six targets, and last
• 20:25
Speaker 2: week was his first two red zone targets of the years,
• 20:28
Speaker 2: so I'm not really banking on that touchdown rate to continue.
• 20:32
Speaker 2: I'm sitting both Browns tight ends new quarterback. The Vikings
• 20:36
Speaker 2: are extremely tough against the position. All of that, and
• 20:38
Speaker 2: then Kaid and like I have Isaiah likely as a
• 20:42
Speaker 2: sit too for the same reasons, like you gotta be
• 20:44
Speaker 2: on the field getting targets to score fantasy points, and
• 20:47
Speaker 2: those guys just aren't getting it consistently enough. Look on
• 20:50
  Speaker 2: Dalton Kin Kad.
• 20:51
Speaker 1: The Bills are spreading the ball around, but Dalton kin
• 20:53
Speaker 1: k seems to be getting a lot of work is
• 20:54
Speaker 1: he finally blossoming into the tight end we hoped he
• 20:56
  Speaker 1: could be.
• 20:57
  Speaker 2: I think so.
• 20:58
Speaker 3: And the one thing that I want to point out,
• 21:00
Speaker 3: it looks like Florio has forgiven him for his wrongdoing.
• 21:03
Speaker 3: You know how last season ended, So it's good to
• 21:05
Speaker 3: see don K and Gate and good graces with you, Florio.
• 21:07
Speaker 3: But man, the one thing that is standing out to
• 21:09
Speaker 3: me is that he's scoring touchdowns. Guys hes three touchdowns
• 21:12
Speaker 3: on the season. Last season he had two, and his
• 21:14
Speaker 3: rookie year he had two as well. So it's like
• 21:16
Speaker 3: it looks like he is trending up to be an
• 21:18
Speaker 3: effective tight end that you can trust and rely on
• 21:20
Speaker 3: and starting lineups. The guy's getting red zone looks, the
• 21:23
Speaker 3: guys getting involved, as you can see in a short game,
• 21:25
Speaker 3: they're designing plays for him to get up field. So
• 21:27
Speaker 3: I do think he is actually part of the function
• 21:29
Speaker 3: of this Bill's offense. It may be some weeks where
• 21:32
Speaker 3: he may have some lows, but I just like what
• 21:34
Speaker 3: I've seen from him these last couple of weeks where
• 21:36
Speaker 3: I can rely on him as my tight end one
• 21:38
Speaker 3: for a lot of my rosters.
• 21:39
Speaker 1: All right, And then on the other side, Isaiah likely
• 21:43
Speaker 1: coming back, but no Lamar Jackson. It looks like you
• 21:48
Speaker 1: up or down on Isaiah Likely this week.
• 21:51
Speaker 3: So the one note that I wanted to point out,
• 21:52
Speaker 3: like he made his Cardio King debut last week, he
• 21:55
Speaker 3: did absolutely nothing. He just ran a ton of routes.
• 21:58
Speaker 3: I do think there may be a ramp up per
• 22:00
Speaker 3: for him where I am still acquiring him off the
• 22:02
Speaker 3: waiver wire. I am still side eyeing Mark Andrews. I
• 22:05
Speaker 3: don't know if I could trust him, especially without Lamar
• 22:07
Speaker 3: for these next couple of weeks. So I'm just looking
• 22:09
Speaker 3: at Isaiah Likely. Does he become a target for Cooper Rush,
• 22:12
Speaker 3: Does he become a function of this offense again of
• 22:15
Speaker 3: how he started last season. Like, I do think that
• 22:17
Speaker 3: both of these guys being in contract years, one of
• 22:20
Speaker 3: these guys have to pull away. They say, hey, I
• 22:22
Speaker 3: am the best investment for the future. So I do
• 22:24
Speaker 3: think Isaiah Likely is on the watch list. You need
• 22:27
Speaker 3: to keep your eyes on him, especially in this game,
• 22:29
Speaker 3: just to see his usage if it increases.
• 22:32
Speaker 1: The Lamar Jackson factor is big though, especially if he's
• 22:35
Speaker 1: going to be out for several weeks. We'll see on that,
• 22:37
Speaker 1: but kind of a time maybe to get away from
• 22:40
Speaker 1: Raven's pass catchers, at least in the short term.
• 22:43
Speaker 2: So there you go. More starts.
• 22:44
Speaker 1: Incision can go to start nfl dot com slash starts
• 22:46
Speaker 1: to get more analysis from Michael Florio.
• 22:48
  Speaker 2: There.
• 22:49
Speaker 1: Now, get yourself a glass of milk, maybe some horkshot.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: It's side for our spicy takes for week five.
• 22:55
Speaker 3: Oh boy, we're getting spicy man now. Florio had Jordan
• 22:59
Speaker 3: Mason as a this week, which I understand. This is
• 23:01
Speaker 3: the Browns defense. You do not want to get in
• 23:03
Speaker 3: battle with him. I explained last week why you don't
• 23:06
Speaker 3: want to get into battle with them. But I am
• 23:08
Speaker 3: saying that Jordan Mason will be the first running back
• 23:11
Speaker 3: against the Browns this season to put up one hundred yards. Now,
• 23:13
Speaker 3: Jami or Gibbs almost did it last season. Now, I
• 23:16
Speaker 3: do think these guys are just different beasts, but they're
• 23:19
Speaker 3: eating in the same jungle because they are actually tied
• 23:22
Speaker 3: with two hundred and seventy one rushing yards right now.
• 23:24
Speaker 3: So I am saying that Jordan Mason will run it
• 23:27
Speaker 3: up against the Browns and make a statement and have
• 23:29
  Speaker 3: his presence felt.
• 23:31
Speaker 1: All right, So big day coming potentially for Jordan Mason. Floria,
• 23:35
Speaker 1: you have another running back you think goes big this week.
• 23:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw this matchup and I was like, Devon
• 23:40
Speaker 2: Han against the Panthers could score as many points as
• 23:43
Speaker 2: he wants. I think the thing I love about Hn
• 23:47
Speaker 2: he's getting a lot of the work on the ground.
• 23:49
Speaker 2: We know how explosive he is, but he's game script dependent,
• 23:53
Speaker 2: like not at all games script dependent, because when they
• 23:55
Speaker 2: fall behind, he might be their top target. Like he
• 23:59
Speaker 2: no running back score more Fantasy points off of receiving
• 24:01
Speaker 2: SATs last season than eight Chan and it started that
• 24:04
Speaker 2: way again this year. But I think against the Panthers,
• 24:07
Speaker 2: the Dolphins will have a lead, so I think we're
• 24:11
Speaker 2: gonna see a lot of Devon Chan down the stretch.
• 24:13
Speaker 2: And he is so explosive that he could break two
• 24:16
Speaker 2: or three long touchdown runs. Like there's a game where
• 24:19
Speaker 2: he dropped forty five Fantasy points as the RB two
• 24:22
Speaker 2: for this team, Like we know what he can do
• 24:24
Speaker 2: even unlimited touches, but I think this is a big
• 24:26
Speaker 2: volume game for him in what is the best matchup
• 24:29
Speaker 2: for running backs. So yeah, I think a Chan drops
• 24:32
Speaker 2: forty and leads a lot of you to victory this week.
• 24:34
Speaker 1: So I'm going to keep the running back theme going
• 24:37
Speaker 1: and also the whole thing of targeting bad defenses. I'm
• 24:40
Speaker 1: going to tell you that both Lions running backs will
• 24:42
Speaker 1: each have twenty five or more Fantasy points for the
• 24:45
Speaker 1: second time this year. We saw Sonic and knuckles at
• 24:48
Speaker 1: Kajmir Gibbs and David Montgomery do that against the Baltimore
• 24:51
Speaker 1: Ravens a couple of weeks ago. Now they eat the Bengals,
• 24:54
Speaker 1: who I don't know if you've noticed, they are bad
• 24:56
Speaker 1: on defense, bottom five rushing defense. Meanwhile, our bottom seven
• 25:01
Speaker 1: rushing desis that's just say. Meanwhile, the Lions top five
• 25:04
Speaker 1: in rate of rushing plays called. So I think the
• 25:08
Speaker 1: matchup plus the fact that I expect the Lions kind
• 25:11
Speaker 1: of name their score and be able to run the
• 25:13
Speaker 1: ball in the second half, means that both Gibbs and
• 25:16
Speaker 1: Montgomery have huge days. Obviously, you're starting Jamior Gibbs if
• 25:20
Speaker 1: for whatever reason you were on the fence about starting
• 25:22
Speaker 1: David Montgomery maybe after a bad game last week, do
• 25:25
Speaker 1: not have any fear it'll get a whole lot better
• 25:27
Speaker 1: this week. So we're all big on running backs and
• 25:30
Speaker 1: our bold predictions for Week five.
• 25:33
Speaker 2: In the meantime, for us, that is it. We are done.
• 25:36
Speaker 1: We appreciate you hanging out with the NFL Fantasy Football show.
• 25:39
Speaker 2: You know the drill.
• 25:40
Speaker 1: Tell two friends to tell two friends, rate review, and
• 25:42
Speaker 1: remember seize the moment. I mean, think of all those
• 25:44
Speaker 1: folks on the Titanic who waved off the dessert card.
• 25:46
Speaker 1: Be safe, take care of yourselves, Enjoy Week five.
• 25:49
Speaker 2: Everybody. We'll talk to you again on Monday. Count Help count,
• 26:11
  Speaker 2: Help
• 26:20
  Speaker 1: H
