- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to a lily Pad production.
- 0:04Speaker 2: This is the Team Up Play Show podcast. Hello everyone,
- 0:24Speaker 2: it's Johnny here with the whole squad. Say hi everyone,
- 0:28Speaker 2: by Hi everyone. That's enough. Yeah, just a little announcement here, y'all.
- 0:37Speaker 2: We are officially coming out of our beta of Team Up,
- 0:42Speaker 2: the game that we've created to tell these stories.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Yeah that deserves applause.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, no it does. The buttons have now made it
- 0:54Speaker 2: into the real show. So that's that's why I was
- 0:56Speaker 2: saying fuck, but no, it's exciting because of that. We
- 1:00Speaker 2: are mostly changing the names of certain rules, and we
- 1:03Speaker 2: wanted to go over those with you so that as
- 1:05Speaker 2: we continue playing and as we stumble over the old
- 1:09Speaker 2: old sayings.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And yeah we will oh yeah we oh, we're gonna sture,
- 1:14Speaker 1: mistakes will be made.
- 1:16Speaker 2: We just wanted you to know what is truth, and
- 1:19Speaker 2: as you purchase the book for yourself, you'll see the
- 1:22Speaker 2: new rules, which we will do our best to adhere to.
- 1:25Speaker 2: If you've heard of saying power pips, those are bonuses
- 1:27Speaker 2: that you can give to roles, normally attack and defense roles.
- 1:31Speaker 2: We are changing those two power points. I know that
- 1:35Speaker 2: sounds like the power points that you used to give
- 1:38Speaker 2: in school.
- 1:40Speaker 1: But it is that Microsoft power points. Yes, I like
- 1:45Speaker 1: power points a lot. YEA, it makes sense.
- 1:47Speaker 2: It makes a lot more sense than power pips. Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 2: as long as it's PP, it's good to me. The
- 1:51Speaker 2: next one is power attributes. Those are there are modes
- 1:55Speaker 2: of attack that you give to attack actions. They let
- 1:58Speaker 2: you do special things. They're kind of like our spells
- 2:00Speaker 2: and team up.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Do you mean mods?
- 2:03Speaker 2: No?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Oh cool? Bye bye.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Number one achieve God damn it perfect. This is such
- 2:14Speaker 2: a perfect this is sure information. We're ruining it. It's
- 2:20Speaker 2: a long thing. We're changing power attributes to attack amplifiers.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It makes a lot more sense because they only go
- 2:26Speaker 2: to attacks, so attack amplifiers and we're going to shorten
- 2:30Speaker 2: that as amps.
- 2:31Speaker 1: So that's a lot more PP. Pretty fun.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, amps. When you go to AA sometimes you take
- 2:39Speaker 2: a PP, you know what I mean. I'm just ready
- 2:41Speaker 2: to get amped. The next thing we're changing is max energy.
- 2:47Speaker 2: So when you give your powers EPs or energy points
- 2:52Speaker 2: they gain. We were calling it a max energy and
- 2:55Speaker 2: that kind of dictated your stats for that power. We're
- 2:59Speaker 2: changing that to your energy level for the power, and
- 3:02Speaker 2: then EPs will still be the thing that you spend.
- 3:06Speaker 2: So the energy level will determine your stats and then
- 3:09Speaker 2: you spend EPs. We kind of wanted to make that
- 3:12Speaker 2: delineation clearer. And then the last thing we've changed is
- 3:15Speaker 2: that we're going to get rid of the swift skill.
- 3:19Speaker 2: We found that as we've been playing, we've been putting
- 3:21Speaker 2: most skill checks that need speed just calling for ready checks.
- 3:25Speaker 2: So we're just going to put everything into Ready so
- 3:28Speaker 2: that will be simpler. And that takes us down to
- 3:31Speaker 2: twelve skills, which is a much nicer number than thirteen.
- 3:34Speaker 2: For some reason, even sit out of it, which means
- 3:37Speaker 2: you'll lose Taylor Swift, which means you'll lose one. We're
- 3:40Speaker 2: getting rid of thirteen and the Swift roll.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Whoa, so sorry Swifties.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yeah, we're coming out pretty strong against this role.
- 3:51Speaker 1: WHOA wow, good connection team.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Wow Wow, Spider Man. Some of these jokes are from
- 4:00Speaker 2: our post show the chat Cave. They don't need to
- 4:03Speaker 2: know that, yes, sure they do. Just enjoy that, we say,
- 4:05Speaker 2: Spider Man when we're rabbling. We're changing all of swift
- 4:10Speaker 2: rolls into Ready, so everything's getting funneled into Ready. So
- 4:13Speaker 2: that's it. Please enjoy the episode, which we're finally getting to.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Bye Bye previously in the City of Bones, doctor Moreau.
- 4:43Speaker 2: He says, I've heard of you, Oh, Phantom, isn't it
- 4:49Speaker 2: paper Phantom? I had a client screaming you your name.
- 4:53Speaker 2: They came to me for power to defeat you, give
- 4:57Speaker 2: me the name Moreau. Shay. He wanted the power overflame,
- 5:03Speaker 2: and I tried, but it didn't work. Phantom.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Something works, though, I suppose.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I don't know. He turned into sort of a slug
- 5:12Speaker 2: on fire, the pot in your hands vibrating and then erupting.
- 5:19Speaker 2: From the spout of the pot emerges a shimmering image
- 5:24Speaker 2: of a man. Why are you here? Well, that's what
- 5:27Speaker 2: I'm getting to I gotta try this again, all right,
- 5:31Speaker 2: I gotta I'm gonna get it right this time, all right. No,
- 5:34Speaker 2: to save my soul, the riddle be to grant a
- 5:39Speaker 2: mortal honest wishes. Three. You're like a jim You grant wishes? Yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 2: but really we're starfuls Okay?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Are you gonna twist my words to make whatever wish
- 5:50Speaker 1: I say come back to hurt me?
- 5:51Speaker 2: Is that your game? Ah? No? No, See, That's why
- 5:55Speaker 2: I'm in this pot is because I did that a
- 5:58Speaker 2: few times and I got in trouble. Trouble with who
- 6:03Speaker 2: oh boy, there is a woman standing there, gold and
- 6:08Speaker 2: robes and hair, golden circlet. Hella, Hi, Rachel's still dance.
- 6:14Speaker 2: You may stop dancing. Cursed one, So I'm cursed? I am?
- 6:19Speaker 2: Where are you from? I and my people? Orbitch Jupiter?
- 6:24Speaker 2: Are you the starfolk? We are not, but we are
- 6:29Speaker 2: in service to the Lady of Light Passaran in the
- 6:33Speaker 2: High Place at Orah, and we do. She look like
- 6:36Speaker 2: a human. She can take a human form, but her
- 6:42Speaker 2: true form is unbearable to our eyes because she's a star.
- 6:46Speaker 2: She is one of the first starfolk. Guess When the
- 6:49Speaker 2: Lords of Starfire were forced to this plane, their enemies
- 6:53Speaker 2: were brought here with them. In their benevolence, the Bright
- 6:57Speaker 2: Lords did not create your world with execution, and instead
- 7:02Speaker 2: bound their enemies to earth and objects. Those bound, instead
- 7:07Speaker 2: of bless, will at times curse those who find these objects.
- 7:13Speaker 2: The severe woman from the mayor's office enters, jimr It's okay, buddy,
- 7:19Speaker 2: it's okay. We're gonna be okay. At that, three gunshots
- 7:24Speaker 2: into Taylor's chest. The mayor's assistant goes in and out.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Often it's dusk. You're following her at a distance, and
- 7:33Speaker 2: she's headed towards what you assume and have gathered as
- 7:36Speaker 2: likely her home.
- 7:37Speaker 1: At this Rigel is going to sideways flip twist off
- 7:44Speaker 1: the top of the building, land in front of her
- 7:47Speaker 1: with the ground pound punching in the alley and breaking
- 7:51Speaker 1: the concrete.
- 7:52Speaker 2: She steps back as you do so I saw you
- 7:55Speaker 2: in the papers. Be careful, boy, I'm clever. I've heard
- 7:58Speaker 2: a lot of people, and I remember everyone and why
- 8:02Speaker 2: I can put pieces together. Give me enough time or
- 8:06Speaker 2: have the balls to kill me. Page gets to where
- 8:10Speaker 2: it's going to hit and shoulders someone out of the way.
- 8:14Speaker 2: You'd an action for Jill, but not Paige. The sphere
- 8:18Speaker 2: smashes onto Page and onto the ground. This isn't good.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I don't know what she'll be like if and when
- 8:27Speaker 2: she wakes, but she's going to be out for quite
- 8:29Speaker 2: some time, and she'll does she have her memories? Like
- 8:32Speaker 2: I said, I don't know. With this kind of injury,
- 8:36Speaker 2: there's no telling who will wake up. I think you
- 8:38Speaker 2: overhere is what I meant you overhear some talking between
- 8:43Speaker 2: two of the True American gang. Yeah, man, if there's
- 8:47Speaker 2: no call for a vote, were storm in the Mayor's house?
- 8:51Speaker 2: Man a small robot has unnowingly distracted you as an
- 9:11Speaker 2: empowered day assassin has slipped through your grasp and has disappeared.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You stand down here in the nest the Everwing fully
- 9:26Speaker 2: suited up two venium nights and you three. What are
- 9:29Speaker 2: you guys doing?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Oh my god, sticky distracted us is sticky evil?
- 9:38Speaker 1: I pick up sticky protectively. Everwing. Come on, you's gonna
- 9:43Speaker 1: throw down a flight star angrily jump.
- 9:45Speaker 2: On it and rip.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Start just zooming away, trying to get up and see
- 9:51Speaker 1: if I can spotter.
- 9:54Speaker 4: I will push out my senses to see if I
- 9:56Speaker 4: can sensor invisible energy.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Everwing follow you and Quanta you try to sense Jamir
- 10:04Speaker 2: go ahead and roll a sense check sends slid not
- 10:12Speaker 2: great at these six everything will help you by adding
- 10:17Speaker 2: her hud her everywing hud which can pick up heat sensors.
- 10:23Speaker 1: That's helpful.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Red. She rolled a five plus six eleven, So we're
- 10:27Speaker 2: looking at eleven from you, guys.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Quanta sense and skin ten.
- 10:33Speaker 2: You got a ten. Okay, swift shot is rolling sneak
- 10:36Speaker 2: plus her invisibility.
- 10:38Speaker 1: There are you?
- 10:40Speaker 2: I rolled fourteen? Oh everywing in rigel blasts through the tunnels.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Close go up to the street level. Cannot see her.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Quanta pushes out her sense, trying to find a singular
- 10:55Speaker 2: person in a sea of many, and you cannot find her.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Got nothing. There's just too much noise.
- 11:02Speaker 3: And sometimes if you love something, you gotta let it go. No,
- 11:05Speaker 3: Swift can't.
- 11:06Speaker 1: We can't be losing potential threats like that. And they
- 11:09Speaker 1: know where we live. Dude, shit, Dirk, Yes, a Swift shot.
- 11:15Speaker 2: He's like looking around with you, guys. He doesn't see her.
- 11:19Speaker 1: You didn't see anything.
- 11:20Speaker 2: No, I was watching the small robot.
- 11:23Speaker 1: All right, Jackie, I mean, ever we go and I
- 11:26Speaker 1: are going to patrol for a little bit. Guys, this
- 11:28Speaker 1: is this is bad. We might need to consider the
- 11:31Speaker 1: Nest compromise if we can't figure this out. Yeah, I
- 11:34Speaker 1: mean we know where she's gonna go, right back to
- 11:36Speaker 1: the mayor. That's one possibility. I mean, depending on Okay,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I guess I look. I look to Jackie. You okay,
- 11:43Speaker 1: going here?
- 11:44Speaker 2: Going where?
- 11:45Speaker 1: To the heart of darkness? You know, to the you know,
- 11:48Speaker 1: to moordor, to the mayor's office. Oh yeah, well I
- 11:53Speaker 1: can go wherever. Let's do it, all right, We'll be
- 11:56Speaker 1: on comms and I zoom away. Be safe.
- 12:01Speaker 2: You all do a little bit of a hunt here
- 12:05Speaker 2: for swift shot, but she has escaped you and go
- 12:12Speaker 2: for the time. You've lost her again. Yet we are
- 12:17Speaker 2: still in down time. We're gonna follow Jamiir threat, Jamiir,
- 12:20Speaker 2: you wanted to do a little bit more research about
- 12:25Speaker 2: being cursed and the pot and such? Yes, I do.
- 12:30Speaker 2: How do you go about doing that? Jamir?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Jamiir, very deeply frustrated, comes back to the nest angrily
- 12:40Speaker 1: kicks off the boots the cape, muttering to himself, we.
- 12:46Speaker 5: Gladly doing this kind of dumb stuff. This is amateur.
- 12:50Speaker 1: And I stop up up the multiple stairs to my sanctum,
- 12:57Speaker 1: my grandmother's old study. When I get to the door,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I open it and I don't light any candles. I
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't turn any switches. Instead, I just send out small
- 13:09Speaker 1: flight stars around the room that twinkle, and I think add.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Some helpful aura to this time.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I place one flight star about two feet off the ground,
- 13:27Speaker 1: a large one.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I sit on it.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Once I have the pot in my hand, and I
- 13:35Speaker 1: take a moment just to center myself. Clutching this smooth
- 13:41Speaker 1: object that started this crazy journey. I try to sense
- 13:45Speaker 1: if there's darkness in it. I try to sense if
- 13:48Speaker 1: it somehow put darkness in me, if I really am cursed?
- 13:53Speaker 2: Well, spirit check, Jamir. All right, one, you can add
- 13:59Speaker 2: your flight stars or your magic blast here whever you
- 14:03Speaker 2: feel like you're connecting with interesting.
- 14:06Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna go flight stars. It's not the
- 14:09Speaker 1: best dice, but it's it's the one I'm using. It's
- 14:13Speaker 1: a second one, so I'm up to two numbers.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Even go that high.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Holy shit, Now you're in for it, Johnny, a little
- 14:23Speaker 1: higher than a two? Can't it have all these tidy
- 14:26Speaker 1: stars hovering around, tweakling around me. I'm sitting on this
- 14:30Speaker 1: worrid disc of blue star below me. SAME's failure is beautiful.
- 14:36Speaker 2: This is a difficult check. I'm rolling a D twelve.
- 14:39Speaker 2: We with these, We with these ruled a seven?
- 14:42Speaker 1: Are sure it's not a one with a log top,
- 14:46Speaker 1: one of those long top ones.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I saw one when you held it up. It's a seven. Okay,
- 14:55Speaker 2: you fail by five? Okay for the first time, Jamir,
- 14:59Speaker 2: since you got your powers. You feel movement in the
- 15:06Speaker 2: blue pot. Similarly to that fateful day, the ravens etched
- 15:14Speaker 2: in the clay start to fly their wings, moving The
- 15:18Speaker 2: pot rattles the gin spirit you talked to before doesn't
- 15:24Speaker 2: show themselves, but you hear their voice once again. Man,
- 15:29Speaker 2: you are just you know good.
- 15:31Speaker 1: At this, a few of Jabar's stars fizzle out.
- 15:35Speaker 2: He eggs his head and says, I know. Wait, how
- 15:43Speaker 2: come I'm talking to you? Wait you can hear me?
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 15:47Speaker 2: Hey, hey, how you doing? Bud uh good?
- 15:53Speaker 1: I mean vaguely better? Strong girls.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Listen, you know why I'm in this pot, why I
- 16:00Speaker 2: had to go back in the pot?
- 16:01Speaker 1: I was told that you cursed me. That's what I
- 16:08Speaker 1: was told. It's by credible sources. Who who credible? Some starfolk, oh,
- 16:17Speaker 1: servants of starfolk to be technical.
- 16:20Speaker 2: But yeah, they would know, they would know. They seem
- 16:23Speaker 2: to have knowledge.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And I actually got to meet one of your enemies,
- 16:31Speaker 1: potential enemies.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I don't know. I'm trying not to be
- 16:35Speaker 2: their enemy, right, that's sure, that's the goal, It's yes,
- 16:39Speaker 2: But I don't know why I'm talking to you. Something
- 16:41Speaker 2: must be going on.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not, If I'm honest, I haven't really
- 16:47Speaker 1: been working on becoming any sort of magician, but I
- 16:52Speaker 1: am trying to connect more to the magic you've given me.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Okay, listen that let me help you out. Huh, put
- 17:03Speaker 2: those put those stars back up. Let's see, let's see
- 17:07Speaker 2: if we can do something here.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Huh, all right, you were closes his eyes.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I feel a change coming, something in the wind. All right,
- 17:20Speaker 2: all right, hey god uh.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Stuior starts setting out a few more flight stars around
- 17:26Speaker 1: the room. Focusing is energy.
- 17:30Speaker 2: This gin is going to help you with their magic dye,
- 17:34Speaker 2: which is a D eight. They were all to six,
- 17:39Speaker 2: which puts us at eight, which is bigger than a
- 17:44Speaker 2: long top one, which is bigger than a long top one.
- 17:48Speaker 2: You guys got long top ones in there. Sounds like
- 17:51Speaker 2: a beer or something. You guys got long top one
- 17:55Speaker 2: on tap or someone who's like not seen bottled beer before.
- 17:59Speaker 2: You got those long top ones whatever the bottle. Long time,
- 18:04Speaker 2: long time, I haven't.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Seen a giraffe before the questing beast or long top one.
- 18:10Speaker 2: You guys got those long top elephants.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Here, those long top horses.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Yeah, more like that top. Together, you succeed, Jamir. You
- 18:21Speaker 2: start to feel some energy given to you by this starfolk,
- 18:24Speaker 2: pure star energy, pure power from the heavens. Your your
- 18:32Speaker 2: flight stars begin to take some of the shape and
- 18:36Speaker 2: the movement of the spell you had cast before to
- 18:41Speaker 2: summon down Elethea, oh, the spell of the cursed. We're
- 18:45Speaker 2: doing it.
- 18:46Speaker 1: We're doing it, buddy.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, yeah, keep it going. I'm somethings. I feel
- 18:52Speaker 2: closer to free than I than I haven't in centuries.
- 18:57Speaker 2: The two of you continue your magics. You start to
- 19:00Speaker 2: see out of the pot, this Jin's head that you
- 19:05Speaker 2: saw before come out and pop up.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah, j Jamir's hands are glowing and they're kind of
- 19:12Speaker 1: rotating through the different kinds of energy he can summon.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And then I focus and I use my newfound ability
- 19:22Speaker 1: to choose my magic to just summon my to just
- 19:25Speaker 1: focus on my pure magical energy.
- 19:29Speaker 2: A beam of white light, as you've seen before, bursts
- 19:35Speaker 2: into this room, and before you stands Alethia again, less
- 19:48Speaker 2: ethereal than before, more material. Okay. The beam of light
- 19:55Speaker 2: goes away, and she's present in your room, dressed all
- 19:59Speaker 2: in gold, her skin, gold, her hair, gold.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Right, chel, I bow slightly and say, Alethea, it's it's
- 20:11Speaker 1: been some time now, how are you?
- 20:14Speaker 2: I've been well? Thanks for coming here.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I wanted to inquire, if I may, about the curse
- 20:26Speaker 1: that this I hold up the pot is Jin? Hey
- 20:30Speaker 1: put on me.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't mean I wasn't trying to do a curse,
- 20:35Speaker 2: He claims innocence. As you can hear, it is interesting
- 20:40Speaker 2: that you've shown the magic to call me here again?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Is it for I? It is before I was coming
- 20:50Speaker 2: to see you.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Well, maybe we kind of you know, met halfway or
- 20:55Speaker 1: something magically speaking.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Perhaps it is hard sometimes to believe in coincidence. The
- 21:06Speaker 2: stars move, move together, end a line to be here?
- 21:10Speaker 2: Is what do the kids call it?
- 21:12Speaker 1: When you're like try to like puff your jaw out
- 21:16Speaker 1: to like look look more, straw man, I am not
- 21:20Speaker 1: the person to ask what the kids are saying. You know,
- 21:24Speaker 1: the kids like make don't ye perfect? Starting from ear
- 21:31Speaker 1: to ear? Were chid maxing slightly, just like trying to
- 21:36Speaker 1: try to extra extra tough in front of Alathea.
- 21:42Speaker 2: My lady, the Lady of Light pesser ann as a
- 21:46Speaker 2: proposal for you, one that could free you from your curse.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Rigel Star Wheelder free. Oh. I like the sound of that, Hey,
- 21:56Speaker 2: free you from your curse, buddy, But just the jin's
- 21:59Speaker 2: head is popping out of the pot, I like tap
- 22:03Speaker 2: on it, like wait, but does that mean I would lose.
- 22:08Speaker 1: The abilities for my wishes.
- 22:11Speaker 2: More is offered to you, ry Jel.
- 22:14Speaker 1: What more is?
- 22:15Speaker 2: The New Gods seek to have avatars walk this world
- 22:19Speaker 2: once again. They believe they have spent too long in exile.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Though she is hesitant to get involved, she has chosen
- 22:29Speaker 2: you as candidate. Me.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yes, well, I'm honored.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Of course. She has great power well beyond this. And
- 22:45Speaker 2: she gestures to the Gin, a lesser enemy of the starfolk.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Hey, I asked, I asked the Git is she is?
- 22:54Speaker 2: She right? Yeah? For sure? I mean I didn't know.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I mean, fuck Pesseran. Yeah, no, thank you, Get me
- 23:02Speaker 2: out of there. Alethia nods and just says, if you
- 23:06Speaker 2: were to accept Rachel, your bond with this creature would
- 23:10Speaker 2: be broken and their cycle would be able to begin. Anew, Hey,
- 23:15Speaker 2: that's not so bad. That's not so bad. I could
- 23:18Speaker 2: try again. Yeah I could. I try again. I'm mucked
- 23:22Speaker 2: up with you a little, So you just go back
- 23:24Speaker 2: here there for hundreds of year's door of it. No, No,
- 23:28Speaker 2: I think she's saying that I get to start at
- 23:30Speaker 2: the beginning, like start fresh. Yes, so the pot would
- 23:34Speaker 2: be relocated on your earth and waiting for one to
- 23:38Speaker 2: find it.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Oh, without a cool down time, exactly.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Yeah, cool downtime like grenades and halo. Yeah, go halo there, guy. Yeah,
- 23:52Speaker 2: they set me up real nice in there. I look
- 23:58Speaker 2: at her like I need no disrespect, truly, but it
- 24:07Speaker 2: is a little intimidating to swear to a master I've
- 24:12Speaker 2: never met. But I guess with this guy, I got
- 24:17Speaker 2: help from a Jed I had known for a couple
- 24:22Speaker 2: of minutes, so maybe I've not wanted to talk. There
- 24:27Speaker 2: is a story that may help of all ears. Long ago,
- 24:33Speaker 2: in the history of your world, the lady Pesseran walked
- 24:37Speaker 2: among you and built for the people a city magnificent
- 24:44Speaker 2: and wondrous, a city made of pure gold. But other
- 24:51Speaker 2: men lusted after her city and swore to defeat her
- 24:56Speaker 2: people and take what was not theirs. She slew them
- 25:01Speaker 2: all whoa with their own disease and weapons. She saved us,
- 25:11Speaker 2: and then she moved to the city to Jupiter and
- 25:16Speaker 2: put it in orbit around its moon so that we
- 25:18Speaker 2: would be safe.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Wait wait, wait, wait, wait wait, so you're telling me
- 25:24Speaker 1: you live in El Dorado.
- 25:27Speaker 2: M.
- 25:29Speaker 1: The Magnificent.
- 25:32Speaker 2: It is known in legend as El Dorado. Yes, it
- 25:38Speaker 2: is our El Dora City of Gold.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Is it like Auto mood or just like a little
- 25:45Speaker 1: city on a rock, kind of flat Earth style floating
- 25:50Speaker 1: around Jupiter.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we talked about this last time. It has its
- 25:55Speaker 2: own rock floating around Jupiter.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Flat earth, flat eye stope, flatter, fascinating.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Jamier Butter is a kid. You do look at her,
- 26:09Speaker 2: and you see now that beyond the gold of her
- 26:12Speaker 2: skin and her hair, her facial features do look indigenous
- 26:18Speaker 2: Central American. So when did have you been with your
- 26:23Speaker 2: lady this whole time? I am of the second generation.
- 26:29Speaker 2: We have learned to live long, but not forever.
- 26:34Speaker 1: That is a very very long time. Yes, I'm I
- 26:40Speaker 1: look down at the pot, I look at her. I'm humbled.
- 26:44Speaker 1: You know, I'm honestly kind of young, even for one
- 26:49Speaker 1: of my people that I'm here with you, two ancient
- 26:53Speaker 1: beings of very maturity.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I glance at the butt.
- 27:00Speaker 1: But uh, I mean if he gets to, if he
- 27:04Speaker 1: gets a clean start and I get maybe some of
- 27:12Speaker 1: the upsides without the down sides still can help people here,
- 27:19Speaker 1: I think, Amid, then tell me, Rachel Wielder of Starfire,
- 27:25Speaker 1: what would you have of her? She will free you
- 27:28Speaker 1: from your curse, but also can allow new power to
- 27:33Speaker 1: be yours who whoa, whoa like a fourth wish. You're
- 27:38Speaker 1: saying like a fourth level.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Mm hmmmm mmmmmm, if that's how you would like to
- 27:44Speaker 2: think of it. Yes, I looked out at the pot. Wow.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Well, when all this started, I was a little naive.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I guess with my wishes, I want to be more
- 28:02Speaker 1: careful now a jet ski I set the pot decks
- 28:08Speaker 1: to me, I get off my for my ideally position
- 28:12Speaker 1: that I stand up and I say, I want the
- 28:19Speaker 1: power to save this city, and I want to be
- 28:23Speaker 1: able to save my friends, no matter the cost.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Thunder rumbles in your gut, jamr, there is for a
- 28:40Speaker 2: time nothing. You are dead, You are life. You are
- 28:47Speaker 2: made totally and fully blank. The room then rips in half,
- 28:53Speaker 2: and you awake in the stars, naked and floating beyond
- 28:58Speaker 2: the world. An ancient and all consuming eldritch god floats
- 29:06Speaker 2: before you. She is beautifully scaled like a fish, and
- 29:11Speaker 2: her flowing garments move as fins in great cosmic waters.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I forget my nakedness in her presence.
- 29:19Speaker 2: She reaches down with finger and thin. The nail on
- 29:23Speaker 2: her finger, you realize, is larger than you are. She
- 29:28Speaker 2: touches you so specifically and gently, despite her size. You
- 29:35Speaker 2: remember your nakedness. You are her and she is you.
- 29:42Speaker 2: She is within you and within her you have been
- 29:47Speaker 2: made anew Jamir. You come back into the room changed
- 30:08Speaker 2: avatar of the Lady of Light, the creator and savior
- 30:12Speaker 2: of El Dorado, and you can level up. All right,
- 30:21Speaker 2: that's a.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Work to do, more like l Fourado. Am I right?
- 30:26Speaker 2: You're right?
- 30:26Speaker 1: You are correct? Yes, it turns out you're right. Way,
- 30:31Speaker 1: You're right, You're right? Do I look different? Do I
- 30:50Speaker 1: feel different? Do you have a small armadillo companion?
- 30:54Speaker 2: Now?
- 30:55Speaker 1: Do you have gils?
- 30:56Speaker 2: Jamir? I'll let you in this moment. Is there anything
- 30:59Speaker 2: different about you?
- 31:01Speaker 1: I think, star? We we wedmir rises first. I just
- 31:09Speaker 1: quickly body checked see if I'm hard, but I'm not,
- 31:13Speaker 1: which is good. I opened my eyes and they're glowing
- 31:22Speaker 1: bright gold. I opened my stars and there's there's little
- 31:29Speaker 1: gold flecks I see in my spinning blue stars. I
- 31:34Speaker 1: dismissed them all and I look to Alathea and say,
- 31:41Speaker 1: I guess we both have the same boss, though.
- 31:43Speaker 2: It seems so. You look down too, and see on
- 31:46Speaker 2: the gloves of your forearms there are two fish curving
- 31:51Speaker 2: in different ways. One of them there the head pointed
- 31:55Speaker 2: towards you. The other head pointed away. Pisces.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Yes, I did classic Pisces thing to do, nodding, nodding understandingly.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Alethea picks up the pot, moves her hands, and it disappears.
- 32:15Speaker 2: I see it, well, thank you, and she nods. Before
- 32:22Speaker 2: you asked me if you would see me again, Rachel,
- 32:25Speaker 2: and I said that it was unlikely, and so I
- 32:28Speaker 2: will not say it again, but goodbye.
- 32:34Speaker 1: A lot of unlikely things would happen around here as
- 32:36Speaker 1: of late. I just shoot a tidy little star over
- 32:42Speaker 1: the twinkle right next to her.
- 32:45Speaker 2: She glances over at it, smiles, and beams back up
- 32:50Speaker 2: to heaven. Oh I'm halfway there.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I look up at the heavens out my window of
- 32:59Speaker 1: my grandma study. I not I look at all of
- 33:06Speaker 1: her books, all the research she'd pour tried to crack.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Into these things. We did it, Grady, We did it.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Quanta and Jason, you guys wanted to hunt down the
- 33:42Speaker 2: foyer slug.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going on a slug hunt.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Slug hunt. Slug hunt, slug hunt, slug hunt.
- 33:48Speaker 4: I filled my baggy pants pockets with salt.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Same awesome. My cloaks just weighed down you can. Also,
- 33:58Speaker 2: you're welcome to take Jamir with you.
- 34:00Speaker 4: As we're heading out trailing salt. Oh uh ye, walking
- 34:06Speaker 4: down the stairs happened to you. You're like one hundred
- 34:10Speaker 4: and fifty five percent buffer you.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Think, I mean, yeah, did you get a haircut?
- 34:16Speaker 2: No, Jason, I did it.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I sounds crazy, but for the second time I was
- 34:26Speaker 1: able to commune with the heavenly people.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Well you two weren't there.
- 34:31Speaker 4: Oh we're always missing the star people.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Yeah, we were just loading our pockets with salt.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah, we were free. I look at the I look
- 34:42Speaker 1: at the empty board in salt on the counter.
- 34:49Speaker 4: The big bag that we have not used that you
- 34:51Speaker 4: picked up some melows.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Just yeah, oh I forgot. I forgot that was there.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's all right, salt we can bring we
- 35:01Speaker 3: can bring it to It's fine, I'll float. It's like
- 35:03Speaker 3: one of those big paper like charcoal style bags.
- 35:06Speaker 2: And how are you going about hunting for a foyer slug?
- 35:12Speaker 2: Which is a very vague description of what you're looking for.
- 35:15Speaker 1: It could be a foyer caterpillar.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Hey, Jackie, yeah you got heat vision? Yeah you want
- 35:24Speaker 2: me to come? Yeah?
- 35:25Speaker 1: Can you do like a you use your heads up
- 35:28Speaker 1: display thing and scan for hot spots in the city.
- 35:32Speaker 6: That what HUD stands for. Ye yes, oh what room
- 35:38Speaker 6: we got for salt in that hood salt? I could
- 35:41Speaker 6: take a bunch of salt.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, there's like little compartments in the legs of these.
- 35:46Speaker 1: So we're going we're going all in on playing throw
- 35:49Speaker 1: salt on this thing when we see it. Eh, it's
- 35:51Speaker 1: like it's worth Yeah, what's wrong with that. I'm just
- 35:56Speaker 1: I'm just making sure we're on the same page. It's
- 35:58Speaker 1: nice to have a plan.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Mm hmm to do have a plan. Salt up. Everyone
- 36:03Speaker 2: forget we're gonna commit some assault. Nice.
- 36:07Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a long sequence of us pouring salted.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Making a little salt bond hoods Yeah, Margaritas briefly.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Quanta roll a sense checkat plus your scan and then
- 36:23Speaker 2: Jackie's going to help this check with her hood perfect. Cool.
- 36:28Speaker 1: You start stuck in the tubes.
- 36:30Speaker 2: What did you think hoods diod for happen? Happen?
- 36:36Speaker 1: Man, Hello, you're doing.
- 36:40Speaker 2: This is a check. I'm rolling a detail. I rolled
- 36:45Speaker 2: a four thirteen. Jackie rolled a four.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Uh.
- 36:49Speaker 2: So you guys critically succeed. You start in the tunnels
- 36:54Speaker 2: for some reason, it's hard to find a trail. You
- 36:57Speaker 2: don't pick up any ash, slime or anything. But then Quantu,
- 37:04Speaker 2: you've felt it before. But all the energy comes into
- 37:09Speaker 2: the city underground in these large cables. There is a
- 37:15Speaker 2: p the power of the city. There is a pinpoint
- 37:18Speaker 2: underneath downtown that is a transformer station where it turns
- 37:25Speaker 2: from moving energy to distributable energy to the people because
- 37:30Speaker 2: it comes in too big to go into people's sockets.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Oh, I think I know where I want to go, guys.
- 37:35Speaker 2: As you get closer and as you all move there,
- 37:38Speaker 2: everwing flies above the downtown area and sees, oh, yeah,
- 37:41Speaker 2: I'm seeing some huge down there, something so like giving
- 37:46Speaker 2: off so much heat. Quantu. You sends it too, something
- 37:51Speaker 2: sucking the energy.
- 37:54Speaker 1: That's for me, I mean that's for the city.
- 37:56Speaker 3: You Okay, what's up? Just seems like you're fixated a
- 38:00Speaker 3: little bit on that energy part.
- 38:01Speaker 4: I mean it's nice, right, Okay, I'll move your way
- 38:08Speaker 4: down underneath the city into the substation.
- 38:12Speaker 2: It is a series of large power transformers and insulators.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Science science, oh, science, look all science.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Sign But there is a lot of heat and energy
- 38:23Speaker 2: coming from these enormous power lines that feed into the
- 38:28Speaker 2: transformers the.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Heart of it all.
- 38:34Speaker 2: And then you see the thing you hadn't felt before,
- 38:37Speaker 2: but attached to the distribution lines is an interesting site.
- 38:46Speaker 2: It is an ovular stone. Huge. It's connected to several
- 38:53Speaker 2: of the incoming lines. It is thirty feet tall and
- 38:56Speaker 2: egg shaped. Oh it is stone looking, but it has
- 39:02Speaker 2: veins of red magma running through it.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Okay, it looks like a fire crystal? Is am I crazy?
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 39:11Speaker 3: But slugs don't turn into crystal. Doesn't make any sense?
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yeah, slugs don't.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Yeah, everyone knows that.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's ridiculous.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Well, anyway we can go.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Maybe the slug laded egg he is even crazy?
- 39:29Speaker 2: Big? Did we think about that? Well?
- 39:33Speaker 1: I guess there's only one way to find out. I
- 39:35Speaker 1: make a big paper megaphone.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Hello, anyone in there?
- 39:41Speaker 1: Hi?
- 39:42Speaker 2: A little child steps out from Oh my god, Hi child, Yes,
- 39:52Speaker 2: night's Thrice. It is good to see you you. Yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 2: you're not just a normal child. Okay, good to see you.
- 39:59Speaker 2: What's Lucy just looks big eyed, smiling at the three
- 40:03Speaker 2: of you. Hey, Hello, who is the new night? She
- 40:08Speaker 2: looks at Jackie, Oh, what's up? Kid?
- 40:11Speaker 1: More of a squire honestly, but you know she's helping out.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Oh very well, do you know what's up with this
- 40:21Speaker 2: fucking thing? What's up? It's been here for a while.
- 40:24Speaker 2: We are watching, and the priest says it bears the
- 40:30Speaker 2: evil of doctor Moreau, but it is unlike anything he's
- 40:34Speaker 2: made before. Ooh, it sounds.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Sluglike, sounds like we found him.
- 40:40Speaker 2: It's a good thing. We brought a bunch of fucking salt.
- 40:44Speaker 1: See what happens.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you brought fucking salt.
- 40:48Speaker 1: No, no child, no child, there's a kid here, Jason.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh yeah, you've heard bad words before.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Okay, great, Yeah, she's she's ancient or right at least? Yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 4: older than us. I am forty older than us. Wow, ancient.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Have you guys messed with this thing at all? Or
- 41:08Speaker 2: it's just been you've just been watching it. Decay has
- 41:12Speaker 2: inspected it.
- 41:14Speaker 1: How's how's he doing?
- 41:16Speaker 2: He is well and he is home. Thank you, Knights
- 41:19Speaker 2: thrice for saving our king.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Our prophesied pleasure.
- 41:24Speaker 2: We're really glad to hear it.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Oh, I can see what I can sense inside this thing.
- 41:29Speaker 4: It is connected to the grid. I drool a little bit.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Whoa you want to do that?
- 41:36Speaker 1: What? Yeah? I want to do it? Okay, let me
- 41:40Speaker 1: at it.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Be careful, I'll put my hand on like just like
- 41:43Speaker 4: the closest what's the word I'm looking for, conduit conduit
- 41:47Speaker 4: or just like the clos system. Yeah, U nubbin electric
- 41:53Speaker 4: out to the closest electric nubbin and send my sense
- 41:57Speaker 4: through that into the boire egg.
- 42:01Speaker 1: See what I can see in there?
- 42:02Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead and roll a sense check. This is
- 42:06Speaker 2: a challenging check. So I'm lying a D ten and
- 42:08Speaker 2: I can't beat you, but we'll see how much you
- 42:10Speaker 2: beat me by. I rolled a one.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Hey, it's a short top one top one. It's a
- 42:19Speaker 1: short top one.
- 42:20Speaker 2: You beat me by ten, which is a critical success,
- 42:23Speaker 2: critical quanta. You sense that this thing inside of this
- 42:28Speaker 2: stone has some humanity left to it. It has this
- 42:37Speaker 2: the pathways that you're used to that dictate some brain
- 42:43Speaker 2: function and movement, and it has made itself a part
- 42:48Speaker 2: of the system, meaning that if you take it off,
- 42:55Speaker 2: probably at least a fourth maybe more of the city
- 42:59Speaker 2: would lose hour.
- 43:02Speaker 7: Oh uh okay, this thing down you guys like my
- 43:08Speaker 7: dad would tell me about, like when folks would get cancer,
- 43:13Speaker 7: sometimes a tumor grows in such a way that it's
- 43:18Speaker 7: it would really be hard to get out without damaging
- 43:21Speaker 7: someone's body, damaging the normal processes that I could do.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Those things a tumor on the city.
- 43:30Speaker 3: We can't risk shutting down the whole grid is with
- 43:33Speaker 3: the election coming up.
- 43:34Speaker 1: No, definitely not.
- 43:36Speaker 4: But someone I'm assuming shum One. No, No, I was
- 43:49Speaker 4: mixing someone with Shay and I nailed.
- 43:52Speaker 1: It correct, Thank you.
- 43:56Speaker 4: Su One is still in there, but doesn't seem like
- 44:02Speaker 4: will be for long, similar to perhaps King Decay.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Well, you guys are watching it right, child of the
- 44:13Speaker 2: of the tubes. We watch it. Yes, can you keep
- 44:18Speaker 2: us abreast of the situation. We will watch it change
- 44:22Speaker 2: and go and grow Night's thrice and we will let
- 44:27Speaker 2: you know if anything happens. But we are not warriors.
- 44:31Speaker 2: There is no telling if we will be able to
- 44:33Speaker 2: stop it.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Do you have one of Do you have one of
- 44:36Speaker 1: the Phantom's cards?
- 44:38Speaker 2: Lucy reaches up to you, Quanta and touches your head.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Well, I have a word for you. Oh, I kneel hesitively.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Priest says there is still much room in you, and
- 44:55Speaker 2: then she glances up towards the power lines and towards
- 45:01Speaker 2: the thing eating off of it realm for more.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Whoa hell?
- 45:07Speaker 4: Yeah, so should I just plug in right now?
- 45:11Speaker 1: Or maybe if you redirected power away from this? And
- 45:16Speaker 1: is this safe? Yeah?
- 45:19Speaker 2: You know, you know I was.
- 45:20Speaker 4: I've plugged into this before, just you know, had a distance,
- 45:22Speaker 4: so I started like cracking my knuckles and rolling my shoulders.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess we can try it again, as long
- 45:31Speaker 1: as we don't leave the city in some sort of
- 45:34Speaker 1: rolling blackout situation. Right right?
- 45:35Speaker 2: Wait?
- 45:36Speaker 1: Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait right? Yeah?
- 45:38Speaker 4: How close are we now to the like votes being
- 45:42Speaker 4: like the vote being ended and being tallied days?
- 45:45Speaker 1: Okay?
- 45:46Speaker 4: I mean you know most people vote early, right, uh?
- 45:54Speaker 2: Like, I guess I can always go back to paper ballots.
- 45:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm sure the council will get right on that
- 45:59Speaker 4: and three days.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Okay, room there's more room than me, all right.
- 46:12Speaker 4: Either I try to reroute around the around the stone
- 46:19Speaker 4: and then too me, or maybe I have so much
- 46:22Speaker 4: I let the stone feed off of me for a
- 46:24Speaker 4: little bit to distract it enough for you guys to
- 46:26Speaker 4: cut it down. Oh I think I like the latter,
- 46:30Speaker 4: now that I've said.
- 46:30Speaker 8: It out loud, all dangerous, but yeah, we win these
- 46:35Speaker 8: all right, I'm gonna, yeah, I'm just gonna. I'm just
- 46:38Speaker 8: gonna try to, you know, produce the same amount of
- 46:41Speaker 8: power as this whole tri state city.
- 46:44Speaker 2: It's fine, it's fine.
- 46:45Speaker 4: I'm gonna start, uh well, I'm gonna lightning web up
- 46:48Speaker 4: to the top, like above the stone, to a nubbin
- 46:52Speaker 4: up there, like the closest nubbin before its attachments. Sounds good, Okay,
- 46:58Speaker 4: signal is go whatever I feel like it's happening, okay,
- 47:02Speaker 4: or maybe you'll just maybe you'll.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Just know, we'll be ready to cut the power and
- 47:07Speaker 1: gradual and we also have the salt if we you know,
- 47:11Speaker 1: if things get sluggy, right, Okay, there goes.
- 47:16Speaker 2: We got this.
- 47:16Speaker 4: I try to reach my hand into like a spot
- 47:21Speaker 4: where it's connected to a nubbin and can't quite get
- 47:23Speaker 4: in there, and so then I just like slowly start
- 47:26Speaker 4: like snaking my lightning with like a scalpel best I can,
- 47:31Speaker 4: like between a nubbin and the stone. You know, once
- 47:35Speaker 4: I feel a connection, just start pouring as much electrical
- 47:38Speaker 4: energy as I can from me to the stone rather
- 47:43Speaker 4: than from the city.
- 47:46Speaker 2: It's right at the connectivity point where the energy coming
- 47:50Speaker 2: from the source moves into a transformer to be distributed
- 47:56Speaker 2: to the city. The amount of an energy coming in
- 48:01Speaker 2: is vast.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Okay, there's there's there's a revenue, there's rubbed me, there's
- 48:06Speaker 1: ruben me.
- 48:06Speaker 2: You pull this energy into yourself and send it into
- 48:12Speaker 2: the transformer so that it can be distributed trying to
- 48:17Speaker 2: bypass the foyer slug.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Yes, and then I want it to.
- 48:23Speaker 4: I and then I want to be like a battery
- 48:26Speaker 4: big enough to distract from the city the city's power.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Roll a coast check, hey, right, or a or a
- 48:38Speaker 2: knowledge check to get the energy to do what you want.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Yeah, my sweet GD given me those two choices.
- 48:47Speaker 2: This is an epic check. I'm rolling a D twenty.
- 48:50Speaker 4: All right with Cathol electricity. Yes, D twenty six thirteen.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Thirteen rolled along top one, top one otherwise otherwise otherwise
- 49:07Speaker 2: known as the Seven Boys. You see Quanta reach her
- 49:16Speaker 2: whip into the connect, the connection where this foyer slug
- 49:22Speaker 2: egg or whatever the fuck it is is eating off
- 49:25Speaker 2: of the city. You then see her fully become a
- 49:31Speaker 2: ball of plaster.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Quatah, you in there?
- 49:38Speaker 2: What are you two doing?
- 49:39Speaker 4: Uh?
- 49:40Speaker 2: We're supposed to cut the power right? Oh yeah, let's go.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I think you're supposed to knock the egg down. That's
- 49:46Speaker 2: what Quanta said, Okay, I cut the connection between the.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Egg and the let's he let's cut off the tuber.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Uh yeah, Rigel's gonna shoot a big old magic blast
- 49:56Speaker 1: at this egg near its connection to the cords. Giant
- 50:02Speaker 1: playing cards form in my hands. I throw them close up,
- 50:07Speaker 1: magic style.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Okay, Richel, roll a might check plus your magic blast, Phantom.
- 50:14Speaker 2: You can help with your paper manipulation, and my magic blasts.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Are now a detailed Ooh, I got eighteen on that.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Oh damn, damn, I'm gonna add four beat that four
- 50:29Speaker 1: beat that ged twenty two.
- 50:32Speaker 2: As the both of you attack this stone, you sense
- 50:38Speaker 2: its durability. Rigel, you said you're magic blasting it. Yep,
- 50:44Speaker 2: this is the most dense and tough thing that you
- 50:48Speaker 2: have ever sent a magic blast upon this suckers, and
- 50:52Speaker 2: same with your playing cards. But the two of you
- 50:56Speaker 2: together roll enormous.
- 50:58Speaker 3: But this is a godly m four we wear these, yeah,
- 51:05Speaker 3: and we both help equally.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Oh, this is fun. I rolled a short top one
- 51:12Speaker 2: and a long top one, which for you maths out there,
- 51:17Speaker 2: that's eight for you math and philosophers.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Short one long.
- 51:24Speaker 2: But that does take an energy from both of those powers.
- 51:28Speaker 2: But the two of you knock this stone off and
- 51:32Speaker 2: it falls and hits the ground unbreaking. Quanta. You are
- 51:38Speaker 2: a ball of plasma. You you your colors start to shift.
- 51:47Speaker 2: You're not just blue plasma. You change with your understanding
- 51:52Speaker 2: of electrical signals. Is there anything you want to do
- 51:55Speaker 2: in this moment?
- 52:03Speaker 4: Yeah, the magic Baby said, there's room in me, and
- 52:10Speaker 4: I know there. Slug, the foire Schlug was feeding off
- 52:13Speaker 4: the city without shutting it down yet and where now
- 52:21Speaker 4: we've cut it off and the city's gonna keep going.
- 52:27Speaker 4: So I'm just gonna like the last bits that were
- 52:31Speaker 4: like going into the fire.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Slug, I want to like redirect.
- 52:35Speaker 4: Into me and I wanna take a little bit from
- 52:39Speaker 4: the city without without causing rolling power outages.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Quanta. You enter this power line as a ball of plasma.
- 52:48Speaker 2: You see before you now ability to go anywhere within it.
- 52:56Speaker 2: It's almost as though you can see every power line
- 53:00Speaker 2: that's attached throughout the United States. You can see a
- 53:06Speaker 2: map of it. It's huge, kind of like you can
- 53:10Speaker 2: see the map of the body. You can see a
- 53:12Speaker 2: map of the country of the continent. Oh my gosh.
- 53:18Speaker 2: And you think if I take a little bit, it's
- 53:22Speaker 2: nothing compared to what's available.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Yeah, no one would know because there's so much here.
- 53:29Speaker 2: The two of you, see, Quanta, she was a ball
- 53:32Speaker 2: of plasma. She went into the lines and now zapping
- 53:38Speaker 2: different colors of lightning is pieced together. Her body first
- 53:44Speaker 2: and then her head, her hands, and her feet remain plasma.
- 53:49Speaker 2: But look like Quanta for a time. You're good. Up,
- 54:10Speaker 2: there is this part.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Of the plan.
- 54:12Speaker 2: I'm so glad. Should we be concerned?
- 54:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm looking at Pep and I'm like, let's uh,
- 54:21Speaker 1: let's be supportive.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Okay, you mean enabling.
- 54:27Speaker 1: There's so much and I'm just taking a little bit.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you're.
- 54:34Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know. And Quanta you can level up.
- 54:47Speaker 3: Think about how many tombs you can dish out.
- 54:49Speaker 4: Now this city is, this city is about to get
- 54:53Speaker 4: get a whole new gut biome.
- 55:05Speaker 2: You are able to come down, Quanta, but you have
- 55:08Speaker 2: this new strange ability to just exist as plasma, not
- 55:13Speaker 2: just turn into it. And Lucy says, more room.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Thanks for the tip.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Priest said she could sense it. Cool. She kind of shrugs.
- 55:27Speaker 2: What are we going to do about this?
- 55:31Speaker 1: Point over to the giant pulsating stone that's been severed
- 55:35Speaker 1: from the power.
- 55:36Speaker 2: Grid, Lucy Spider crawls over to it. What the fuck God?
- 55:44Speaker 2: She knocks on it. The veins of fire are still lit,
- 55:49Speaker 2: but they are pulsing now and not just right, and
- 55:54Speaker 2: she says it still lives.
- 55:56Speaker 4: Within magma meet plasma. Hold up my hands. Should we
- 56:01Speaker 4: just try to crack it open?
- 56:03Speaker 1: Just blast it? Blasts and salt, salt and blast. But no, no, no, no,
- 56:09Speaker 1: I think this rocky exterior. I think we should blast
- 56:14Speaker 1: dead salt, dead salts.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Oh, I can make a funnel, perfect, perfect, The three
- 56:22Speaker 2: of you blast it with everything you have. Jackie as well,
- 56:26Speaker 2: shoots her her beam out of her ever heart at it,
- 56:31Speaker 2: and it is it's not budging, it is not cracking. Shoot.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Should we move it?
- 56:40Speaker 4: Well, that's humbling. After you know saw God, I also
- 56:45Speaker 4: saw a divide be and iboved. I can't crack this thing.
- 56:50Speaker 4: We will watch it, King Decay, you will know what
- 56:54Speaker 4: to do if it opened. Should we roll it towards
- 56:57Speaker 4: you guys? I don't want to leave it here, but
- 57:01Speaker 4: I also wouldn't want to leave a fire bomb where
- 57:04Speaker 4: you guys live with all your beautiful plants.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Good boy.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Also, Rigel, you couldn't push it all the way there, Oh,
- 57:13Speaker 1: got them what Once we start rolling, you know my strength,
- 57:16Speaker 1: I'll be what it is. It'll also have its own abda.
- 57:19Speaker 8: Right.
- 57:21Speaker 1: I looked at the child for validation. It's not any
- 57:25Speaker 1: not any big bodies of water. We could dump it
- 57:27Speaker 1: into landlocked. All the fountains are pretty shallow.
- 57:34Speaker 2: Well, I guess there's nothing to do, but wait.
- 57:38Speaker 1: At least it's off the off the grid literally literally.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Thank you again, Nights Thrice for helping the city, and
- 57:47Speaker 2: thank you Squire. Jackie puts up her every wing hand.
- 57:53Speaker 4: Thank you, Lucian. I'm glad you showed up. I look
- 57:57Speaker 4: at my hands that are still kind of glowing. I
- 57:59Speaker 4: love to see you, but we hate to watch you move.
- 58:02Speaker 2: So true, that's funny. Oh God. Spider scurries away back
- 58:19Speaker 2: to Wait. Did you guys find the rhinozar?
- 58:22Speaker 1: Damn, I've been curious.
- 58:24Speaker 2: About that guy. I got to start a newsletter keep
- 58:27Speaker 2: up to date with everyone.
- 58:29Speaker 1: That's not a bad idea. I got to go back
- 58:31Speaker 1: to the hospital. I'm just staying there and watching page.
- 58:36Speaker 1: She's in a coma, right, I'm so sorry. I forgot
- 58:42Speaker 1: with everything. I'm sorry. It's okay, yeah, genuinely, man, that's terrible. Hey,
- 58:50Speaker 1: you know, Ronnie, if you paper and furls, you wouldn't
- 58:55Speaker 1: mind taking a look at her, would you? She got
- 58:58Speaker 1: hit with like a big energy blast. Yeah.
- 59:02Speaker 4: I was actually just about to offer, and I didn't
- 59:05Speaker 4: know if that would be cool, so so cool.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd be happy to. I think I'm an meet
- 59:12Speaker 1: you there though.
- 59:13Speaker 4: I look over at the transformer, see if I can
- 59:16Speaker 4: get there another way.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Cool.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Hey you're you're good though, dude me? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 59:27Speaker 1: you're good.
- 59:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Yeah, we're all good. Everyone's good. Glad to hear we're
- 59:34Speaker 1: all good and not addicted to newfound power? Right right?
- 59:46Speaker 2: Two more things than to wrap up in downtime. Jamiir
- 59:50Speaker 2: has one more thing he wants to do, and I
- 59:51Speaker 2: think going to the hospital checking on page can wrap
- 59:55Speaker 2: it up with you guys, you wanted to find Taylor's
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: kill her and have another chat? Just check it old llyway.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: You stalked her before, pretty well following her movements. You
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: know where she lives. I don't think it would be
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: hard for Jamir to find her again. Yeah. Oh wait
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: till late one night and.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Just said to a few stars whizzing past her window, she.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Pokes her head out, Hello, is now a bad time.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: You see a smile curl on her lips. You shouldn't
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: have come back. I think with your voice.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I'm putting it together, putting a lot of things together
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: these days. We get my friends. Well, you're a city,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: and your control of it just seems to be falling apart.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: You think this ends.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: I know how this is. Then tell me. Tell me
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: how it ends.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: It ends with you, the evil med you're helping, he
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: said in a jail to rot in this city picking
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: new leadership. It had triggered new age with new heroes.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: An audio recording of me committing murder in front of
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: a police chief just got out to the public. And
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: yet here I am.
- 1:01:50Speaker 9: Jamiir Javer tries to do flinch when he hears his name.
- 1:02:00Speaker 9: M I hovered over to her. I looked down, and
- 1:02:09Speaker 9: when I look up, my eyes are pure gold. My
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: name is Rigel, and you are safe nowhere. This will
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: end poorly for you. I recommend you turned yourself in
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: now you think I'll stay in jail even if it
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: all goes to shit and Mayor Stephenson loses his place.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: I'll get out. I'll find Taylor's parents, I'll find that
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: little Jackie Garcia of yours.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Your ears, trying to not treble. I look at her
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and say, turn yourself.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: In. She looks back at you, in awe of your
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: power and says, kill me.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Javier's hands bird with starfire. I don't know. Should I
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: roll for the I'm I'm I don't know. This is
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: tough to break character for a second. Ben is like, yeah,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: what what does Jamir do here?
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: Man?
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I kind of want to let the dice have a
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: part of us say in this what what are we thinking?
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Or do you not want?
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Do you want to be.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Sorry? I don't need a gd your your your goddamn gabe.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: Let's have the dice. Let's have the dice decide we can. Yeah,
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: let's let's let's keep moving and all and I'll give
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: you a roll for sure. Sorry, Sorry, I just don't
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: be sorry. Feeling nothing to a positive I'm feeling, mister Krebs, Jamiir,
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: you just had an encounter with an eldritch god, ancient
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: beyond your understanding, and you were told a story, a
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: story of a woman who created a city she loved
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: so much that when it was threatened, she moved to violence.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: And killed the conquistadors that lusted after what was hers
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: and that threatened those whom she loved. The in your
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: head that if a god could know when to kill,
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: when to take life, and I am now her avatar,
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: perhaps there is a right time. Roll a guts check, Jamir.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Do you think that a success would mean you don't
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: take her life? Or that a success would mean that
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: you do. I think for Jamir, a success would be
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: he chooses not to kill. Add your strength to this
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: guts roll. This is a difficult check. I'm rolling a
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: D twelve full disclosure.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I'm rolling a D six in a D eight right,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: and I got a thirteen.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Oh wow, I rolled a four, which is three ones
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: all crossed up.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: You're so right wow. I'm sorry.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Jamir quivering.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Starfire burning looks at her and says, you would like that?
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: What did you?
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: And I raised my hand toward her temple, and instead
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: I twist and I shoot my magic blast into her
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: car parked in front of her place.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: And it explodes and Jamir flies off into the night
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: with an explosion behind.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Oh I just paid off, and Jamir is flying straight
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: to the chute.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: By the way, Oh bye, and Quanta and the paper fandom.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: You guys want to go see Page. Yes, yeah, Pages
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: in the hospital that is in the last space barge
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: on Earth. Big, beautiful and firm, meant for the pilgrims
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: that were to go off to space. Page lies here, Ronnie.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: This is the first time you've seen her since her accident.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: She's looking beautiful as ever, with stark white hair that
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: has curled through her braids.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: You weren't kidding, it's it's all white.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: She got hit by I think a morphogenetic field generator
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: explosion and crushed slightly.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Yeah. Can I tell you something anything? I think it
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: makes me a bad person, But part of me when
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: I heard she was in a coma, was relieved. Yeah.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: I fucked this up, real by d real, real bid
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: I'd done?
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Did? I'm so stupid? So what happened?
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Well, my whole deal with the Paper Phantom and Arthur
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: is that I can't let Page know that I'm the
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: Paper Phantom.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: And she kissed me and it was awesome for like
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: a second, and then I got reminded that if she
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: finds out, which she would find out, then I'd lose
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: powers and then she would hate me too, because she
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: hates the paper phantom. So she took me to her
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: job and it was just so awkward, and she hates
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: me now and I don't know her memories back or
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: what's going on in there?
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: And I just.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Why does she hate you?
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: You because I told her I'm not interested.
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: I point telling her in this woman right here. Yes,
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: I told her, yes, yes, stop looking at me like that.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Yes, I know it's because I needed to push her
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: away for plot purposes.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Not want to do it.
- 1:09:09Speaker 10: Oh no, I Jason, yeah, Jacon, So I don't know
- 1:09:21Speaker 10: if I want you to wake her up yet, but
- 1:09:24Speaker 10: can you find out what she what's the last thing
- 1:09:27Speaker 10: she remembers at least, if not what's going on in there.
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: I'll see what I can do. But if I can
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: wake her up, I gotta wake her up. I'm sorry.
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: I'm done with choosing for other people that kind of thing.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Okay, right, you gotta do Yeah, No, it's you're right,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: It's just one way or the other, and it's not
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: going to be pretty. Yeah, And.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: You know, friend of friend, I don't know if you
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: should blame Arthur or Plot for getting in the way
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: of your own happiness. Damn, I think somebody else is
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: in the way of your own happiness, mister crinkles, Yep,
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: definitely the cat.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I put my hands on a page's.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Temple, roll a knowledge check plus your scan Quanta right,
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: this is an epic check. I'm rolling a D twenty
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: all right.
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: I was tempted, but I did not increase my I
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: got to look it up energy level for scan. So
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: it's still a D six when I leveled it up.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: So I'm rolling. I'm rolling two D six? Is I
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: could try and help? I guess I should try try
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: and do it. How are you helping, Jason y'all? Uh?
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: Again?
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Try and put some some of the venium laced paper
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: that I have as like almost.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: E e g.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: Like certain points on the temples to conduct power produce
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: what's the word I insulate other places and channel electricity
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: to her brain instead of other spots.
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: I forget And I think you've ruled on this before.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: But can I can only use always helpful for allies.
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: I can't use it for myself, or I can use
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: always helpful to give myself support.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: What's the language of it? We need to I think
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: that's what we looked up last time. Oh, by the way,
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: to fix last episode is the shoot serpents. Oh the
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: sorry listeners if you were yelling at us from last episode,
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: ye we forgot stumble goddamn.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: All right, here's the language for always Helpful. You may
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: use power pips from your support pools power power points.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: You may use power points from your support pools to
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: aid in the skill of empowered checks of an ally
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: as long as the check aligns with your power and
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: passes the GDS discretion.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: But then support pool I should be able to use
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: just for myself in general.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: It's just that this.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Support pool only goes to attack and defense. Okay, so
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: I can only use it for healing, buffing healing. So
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: always Helpful allows you to help with an allies empowered check. Yeah.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: If I was doing the main check here, you could have.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Yes, got it, but I can help. Yay, all right,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I have eight?
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: I got seven?
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Nice, very good.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: That's fifteen. Yeah, I wrote to nineteen.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: You roll so good. Shit.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: You put nodes on Page's head, Quanta, You dive in,
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: here's what you find, and you do not trust your
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: knowledge and your ability to fix what's happening. But here's
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: what you see. There is evidence that Page's brain was
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: completely crushed into nearly nothing.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I get a little nauseous.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: You see the scarring in her mind, but her brain
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: is building itself back up at an alarming rate. It
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: will still take some time, but she is healing. What
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: did you see? She's not awake.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: No, she will, she will.
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: I'm sorry I didn't get anything about what she remembers though,
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: or what she'll be like when she does.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: But but she can be. Okay, do you think.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I don't know?
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: She got She kind of got a raised and I
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: don't know if what's being written will be the same book.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: You shouldn't get close to people, I guess, Jason. Everyone
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: gets hurt. Yeah, yeah, they do, me too. We can't.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: We can't live like that though, right, Maybe just another compartment,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: another fold.
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: Okay, I know someone else who could look at her?
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: Who I'm my best friend, Jillian.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: Oh, I'm she a doctor?
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Yeah, well not this kind of doctor.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: No. But she work at the station.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Oh I met her?
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Oh you did?
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: Tried to save her from falling, recently saying the accident
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: at her page.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: She was in this accident.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: She hasn't told me.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Oh my god, I think she just ended up with
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: like a her leg got hurt, but she's okay. You
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: saved her.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: Yeah I tried.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Oh Jason, I put my arm around him and kiss
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: him on the.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: Cheek, put my head on page. Is the end and
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: the day comes we come out of downtime, Dotter, do
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: election days? Voted election parade? Just take over monkey with
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: symbols to distract me a lot of it. There was
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: a three of four and a one to patrol scores,
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: which gave you enough to want to be around the
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: mayor's skyscraper while the vote is going on because of
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: the discussion the new city Hall where the mayor has
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: placed himself in kno. Oh my god.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: If the city Hall comes to live as a giant
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: mech and we have to literally fight city Hall, I
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: will scream, I want to fight city Hall, Johnny. Now
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: I've got another idea. I want to fight city Hall.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: The day arrives, where do you want to be Because
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: you heard of the discussion of the True America Gang.
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: You want to be around because you're worried that they
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: might incite some violence. But based on your patrols, you
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: can be from downtime. You you got that. I'm basically giving
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: like you should be here yes, I'm giving you that
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: great bonus here. Where do you want to be? Though?
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: The Mayor's skyscraper in Kono is fucking fifty stories tall,
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: so it's it's bigger. Yes, there are bigger There are
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: bigger skyscrapers out there, but size doesn't mean. It's how
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: you use your skyscraper.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Is it a mac or is it just a building?
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: Is it going to come to life and we can
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: fight city Hall? So where do you want to be?
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Do you want to be on top of it? Do
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: you want to be in the sky beside it? Do
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: you want to be on the ground? Jackie is there?
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: Ever Wing is there? And the Venom boys are going
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: to come along with you, Dark Blade and Lucky Lucky
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: whose heroes his hero name is Rockfist.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: Excuse me, I'd love to be on if there's a
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: nearby zeppelin of some sort, just kind of hanging out
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: around near the top.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: It was certainly be a news zeppelin, yes, filled with newspapers.
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: I would like to be in the grid, just like
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: zipping around the building, surrounding buildings, electrical wires, like I'm
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: just constant motion within the electrical currents of this area.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I think Rigel is going to be flying around checking
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: a different polling places. Yeah, sure that there's peace that
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: though one's being intimidated and just be in a superhero
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: pressis while people wait lie as I fly over.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: The heroes come out to vote, as does the city.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: The poles are flooded and Jamir there is no violence
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: at the poles. Okay. The Mayor's office, the city council chamber,
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: which only Jamir has been into a long glass room
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: with an obsidian table that the city council sits at
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: is televised by Manny Ellington to the city paper. Phantom
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Zeppelinuron has an enormous screen speed racer style. Hell yeah,
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: so that's what Susan Sarandon's for that shows the room.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: In the room right now is the mayor sitting at
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: the head of the table, Adrian Stephenson. Around the table
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: are the masked city council, all wearing their fedoras with
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: the chains that come down to their chin. Manny Ellington
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: has yet to arrive. The mayor addresses the cameras and
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: addresses the city council. If he doesn't show, we'll start
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: without him. His camera's made it. But whereas he the
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: doors burst open. Manny Ellington enters with a few judges,
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: city judges. He says, why not take off your hats? Boys?
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: The city already knows who you are, and he is
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: not wearing his hat. None of them budge. The mayor,
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: not really playing to cameras anymore, says Ellington, you trader.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: Ellington just gestures around, points up to Everwing who's flying about,
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: and Rigel, who zooms by. Gods and heroes look down
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: upon you, Stephenson in judgment. Your time has come. The judge,
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: one of the city judges that comes in with Ellington,
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: has an envelope. He shakes nervously, looking at the mayor nervously,
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: and he opens it up. There has been a decisive
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: choice may by the people of this city at a
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: seventy two percent majority. The people have voted to hold
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: an election for a new mayor.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Yes, Rigel shoots out stars as he flies over it.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: You all feel an eruption of joy throughout the city.
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: The mayor first looks sharply at Manny, knowing that Manny
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: was supposed to control the vote through the electronic booths.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: Manny says, come now, Adrian, the cat is out of
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: the bag. I've never been on your side and am
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: not now. The mayor's countenance settles, though, as he remembers
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: he's got the whole mayoral council, the whole city council,
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: in his pocket, and has made contingencies for this kind
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: of moment. The judge says, now the council will move
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: to ratify or deny the will of the people, believing
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: without doubt that their vote here will be what's best
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: for the people in their districts.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: There we go, Let's see if it worked.
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: Each of the city council members, not speaking because of
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: the ruse that they are different people underneath, move to
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: write something on a card and slide it forward. The
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: judge collects them all opens the first one, Mitchell Nichols,
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: votes his name not to hold an election. Fuck to
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: that guy, we got Manny Ellington votes to hold an election.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: George Olsen votes not to hold an election.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Oh, I thought we had that guy.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: Benjamin Shabrath votes to hold an election. We just beat
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: up right, Yeah, nice David, that worked. Gary Stephenson Gary
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: Stephenson h takes off his hat and winks at the mayor,
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: looking happy, votes to hold an election. Perfect, and Stephen
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: Starr votes to hold an election.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: The mayor's countenance falls further and further into a rage
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: as these votes come in. By the last one, he
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: is no longer holding the facade of political professionalism.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: You cowards?
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: What has come of you? Why would you do this?
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: After everything, everything I've given you, everything I've done, you
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: treat me this way? He moves and grabs one of
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: the cameras. If you think you're moving me off my
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: mountain new Battle, you'll be sorry. You don't need mayors anymore.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: I'm a king, a king, you see, and there's nothing
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: that can be done to remove a king. The foundations
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: of the building explode and it begins to fall. The
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: True America Gang dance and laugh as they get to
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: enact their plan. If the mayor showed any inkling that
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: he would refuse to be removed. And that's where we'll
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: end this episode of the Team Up Play show Pot.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Wow, Wow, they did it. They turned the building into
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: that Yeah, finally happen episode. So much happened.
