- 0:00SPEAKER_00: This is Brendan Stacy with Let's Wine with Brendan Stacy.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: And if you listen to Brenda's horror movie reviews, I announced that I was going on a little trip with my daughter Curry to Savannah, Georgia, and that is what we did.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: I think you got started on your uh Halloween festivities early.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Do tell, do tell.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: I missed you.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: I haven't seen you in forever.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: What happened?
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: I know, it feels that way.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Well, since I'm in Georgia now, can't afford to go back to Florida every month.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Can't go to Halloween Horror Night like I used to do.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: So I told Curry this is kind of our Halloween fun, got us a hotel on River Street, which was nice for a couple nights, and picked her up.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Well, the first thing we did was actually go to Cracker Barrel to eat, and she paid for it.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: She took me to lunch.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: I know, and that was very unexpected.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Curry, if I'd have known you were gonna pay, I would have ordered a lot more, but I didn't know.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: It was still a nice time.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Good, good.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: We had a good time.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: So that was kind of the start of it.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: And then we went to go downtown and check in, and we were going on a ghost tour that night, a trolley tour.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: So that was really neat.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I've heard that people rant and rave about all the things Savannah, but especially their infamous tours and ghost tours, especially.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Was it everything that we've heard it to be?
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Yes, it was fun.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: And of course, downtown Savannah is so neat at night.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: It is just it's a pretty place.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: You know, the brick streets, which I don't recommend walking on, especially if you have heels on or anything like that, which I did not.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Olive was our tour guide, and she was so good and knowledgeable and knew everything.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: And I thought she was just wonderful.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: I'm good, good.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Cute and fun and boppy.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: And we actually went to the Andrew Lowe house.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: We got to go into the house.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: It's posted on our page.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I've posted a lot of pictures, or they're on my page, but I could share them.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: I haven't looked at the pictures really well yet.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: So I'm hoping there's some orbs or some ghost in there.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: That would be cool.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: I need to sit down and look at all of them.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: So you're actually able to go on tours of like different houses and different okay Charlie goes so far and then they let you out and they tell you some more and then they take you in the house.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: You know, don't touch the walls, don't touch anything, don't lean on anything.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: But you can take pictures.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: You can take pictures.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: They don't want flash.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: They don't want flash pictures in there.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: I thought that was an old-timey thing.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: You know, for back in the day when cameras were blew you over.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: But kaboom! Kaboom kind of cameras.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't think that it would be as um harsh the way cameras are today on our cell phones.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: I never thought about it.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: But rules are rules.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: It's the light.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: I think it's just the light.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, I get sunlights destructive.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: And you don't want, you know, your picture taking to take away from someone else's experience.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Right, because there's, you know, quite a few people on those trolleys.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: So then after you know how I'm such a scheduled person, but curry works nights.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: So eating came after that.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: So it was getting late, and we went to the cotton exchange, which is one of the taverns on um River Street, and that was a neat little place too.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: So I had fried green tomatoes there, of all things.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Yum yum.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Yep, broccoli, and it was good.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Had a beer, had a good time, went back to the hotel and hung out some before going to bed.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Because we, I'm not used to all that one.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Oh my, I bet it was a lot.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: The next day was worse.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Oh no, worse.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: We're walking.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Yes, because we were gonna hit the public transportation.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Which they give you the little map of where they pick you up and drop you off and go to all these different little places.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: And I thought, okay, that's fine.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: And I'm one of those, when I get to a hotel or wherever we're going, once I park, I don't want to move my car again.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I'm done.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: We're we're done.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: We can do this.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Well, evidently there'd been a fire, but I think it affected some of the pickup points the next day.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: So I'm standing out there in the fucking sun.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: So you know, I'm like, I'm looking at Curry like, I don't feel good.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: I'm sick of my stomach.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: But luckily, she was smart enough to say, why don't we walk to the next block, which wasn't that far, and then we got picked up there.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: So not a big deal.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: I survived.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: That was the main thing.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Good, good.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: So we found more good places to eat.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, we took the ferry boat.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Oh, I want to hear about that.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: How awesome was that?
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: That was kind of neat.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: That sounds funny.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: That's free too.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: The ferry boat has three different stops, uh, two on River Street and one in front of the convention center on the other side of the river.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: So you still get to see everything.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's still neat.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: You don't get a tour.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, they don't they don't tell you anything, but it's self-explanatory a lot of it.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: You know, you see the buildings, you've already walked the streets, you know what you're looking at.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Very cool.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that just sounds fun.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Like a fun little getaway for y'all.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: It was.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: It was, it just sounds like a blast.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: So I gave you your Halloween present before he left.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, my little ghost with the middle fingers up in the air.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: So I see he made the tour with y'all and uh got to play a lot of games and see a lot of stuff.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: I'm jealous.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I know that ghost had a good time.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Um, jealous.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And got his name, Miss Lloyd.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Miss Lloyd.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Miss Lloyd.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: I kept telling Curry my favorite bartenders are Lloyd from The Shining and Smitty from Will and Grace.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: You know how names just kind of come out of nowhere, and somehow Lloyd the bartender just stuck.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: So it's Miss Lloyd as a drag name.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Yep, I love it.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Aren't the little games cute?
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: Curry just happened to have all those little games with her.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't get the mini thing.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: I know it's a huge thing right now to have mini little everything.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Even some of the shows we watch, they have those miniatures of everything.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: These little games.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Here's the funny part.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: I'm embarrassed to admit, but I will.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: The little Uno cards, I can shuffle those so easy.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: My little hands.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: You should have taken your little hands and played the mini game.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Why didn't I take them with me?
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: That'll go, those will have to go on the next trip.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's funny.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: I'm glad that Miss Lloyd had a good time.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: She did.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: I'm glad that Ian Curry had a great time.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, there was a bar in the hotel.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Which made it even better.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: The gentleman's name, well, he went by Chi Chi, and he kept saying his name was Chi Chi.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I'm like, mm-hmm, right.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: You know, maybe it is just the name it goes by, but there are his little advertisements that said Coach Chi Chi on one.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Evidently a football game or something was going on, so it was kind of the sports theme.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: He was also trying to get his fall martinis together.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And he was giving Curry and I taste of one that he was making that actually just tasted like Kahluah.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: He was putting pumpkin stuff in it, and I'm like, Oh wow.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: He tried.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: At least you got to be a taste tester.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, that sounds fine.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: And one of the other guys that worked in the hotel happened to be there tasting too, and we saw him later on the elevator, and he's like, Did you have any more?
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Did you go back for a martini?
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: And I was like, We went and ordered one when we got back, and it's still not.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: It was spicier than the first one.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Put it that way.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: But didn't satisfy your pumpkin need.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: I think it didn't smell enough like pumpkin.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: You know, it had a Kahua slash gadiva taste to it.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: One of those liqueurs.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: That sounds good.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, that's good anyway, but I wanted pumpkin spice.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: It's that time of year, everything's got to be pumpkin spice.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: I don't want anything pumpkin spice.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, and I want everything pumpkin spice.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: No, I don't want anything pumpkin spice.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I am on like my my third bag of candy corn for that.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: I do love candy corn.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: You know, oh, here's a trivia question.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: When that was first created, what did they call it?
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: What did they call candy corn?
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: We just had that as a trivia question over the weekend at work.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Does it make sense?
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: It does kind of make sense.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Okay, they'll do tell.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Chicken feed.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: It's called chicken feed.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: That doesn't make me want to eat it.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: It doesn't sound like candy.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: No, once I tasted it, I would be like, I would eat all the chicken feed you can handmake.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: I hear people go, it's too sweet.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: I'm like, that's bullshit.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: There's no.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: There is nothing too sweet ever anywhere.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: No.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: You can't have that.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: But a candy corn, it's candy corn season the meat.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: I do have a sweet tooth.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: What's the number one candy for Halloween?
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Um and it's not one of my favorites.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: It's very popular.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: It's been around a long time.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Sure, Reese's cups.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Reese's cups are the most popular to hand out at Halloween?
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: I assume so.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: Now I'm questioning.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: I thought, I mean, I was thinking like candy corn, like something that just I don't know.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: Would candy corn taste good in June?
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: I think I only want it for Halloween candy.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: And then it needs to just go away for a year and come out.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: Mid-September.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Well, there you go.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: You know I had to look it up.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: It does say Reese's peanut butter cups are overwhelmingly ranked as the number one candy for Halloween in America.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: To give up.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: See, it doesn't say that.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: It says it's okay.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Well, Reese cups are pretty damn good, whether it's Halloween or not.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, see, those I will eat them.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: I'm not, but it's I don't know.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: It's so weird.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: And weird.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but like once a year I want a payday.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, those are good.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: And maybe it's because I don't have nuts around all the time.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: You know, anywhere I've lived, I you know, well, Lark was little, I try to keep it out.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: And we did the sun butter thing and we kept peanut butter out of the house because they say peanut butter is one of the things where, like when you're with little kids, it'll get on their hands and they'll touch everything.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: And you know, you don't think of that.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: You don't really think of it.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: But now, you know, he's come a long way and he's not a toddler that's gonna pick up a peanut off the floor and put it in his mouth.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: True.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, some kids.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: It won't be long, you'll be taking Lily and Lark for a drink on Halloween.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: I was telling Curry, I said I knew I had kids for a reason to go drinking with them.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: I know she's not a big drinker though, isn't that hilarious?
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: That's hilarious.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: I even bought the sweet wine so she'd have something, and she did have one with me, but she's like, it's still wine.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: You know, she's just not a big wine drinker.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: I think she's more of a shock taker if she's out somewhere.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: She did have one of the martinis when we were out, and she she's wanted to try a cocktail.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Um we stopped at Spanky's one day, that's a popular one on River Street, and she had this banana concoction kind of thing, and that's what they were advertising.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: She wanted to try it.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like to try different drinks.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: You know how I am too.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: I like to explore.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: But maybe one day I will get invited on one of these excursions.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: We'll have to get Curry on here from what I understand her and her girlfriends.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: They're going to Dolly Room.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Yes, they are.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: So good for them.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: That sounds like a fun story.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: I know, that sounds fun.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: I wish you could have gone on this one.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: I know you work now on Fridays.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: And Curry's night schedule, of course I'd rather be back because I go back to work on a Saturday, and I know it sounds ridiculous, but I'm one of those on a Friday I want my laundry done.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: I just want to uh before I go to work the next day.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: I ended up leaving on Wednesday, coming back on Friday.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: And you know that drive just makes me.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: But she was at the other end of it, so I was happy going.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: I had a nice drive there.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: It was very nice.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: I went ahead and put highways back on my GPS because of the length of time, but then something happened where they rerouted me at the very beginning through Lawrenceville, and it was an extra 21 minutes, but it didn't really affect much of the rest of the drive.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: On the way home, though, hell with it, it took forever to get down sugarloaf.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Oh no.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: The traffic I didn't think I'd ever get back.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Atlanta, uh, it's just you know, you know, you know.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: You know, you know.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: So curry, next time if we can do Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: If you're off those days, then we're off those days.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: And we're coming.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: That sounds fun.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Let's do it.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And all those hotels are neat.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: You know, they're a little pricey this time of year, but isn't everything.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: So that's true.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: And I get it.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Because tip your bartenders, waitresses, we've talked about that before, because in the big scheme of things, I don't like paying it, but I get it.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: I'm sure their rent goes up.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: Everything happens.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: It's a chain reaction.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Playing a trip, get out, life is short, have fun.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Do what you can do and have a good time.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: That's what I was saying.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, Ghost had a good time.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: I'm glad he did.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Miss Lloyd.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: I'm glad that it had a good time, and you would definitely have to uh share some photos of all of the outings and the games and Oh yeah.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: The game ones are on the Let's Wine with Brendan Stacy Facebook page.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: The other ones are on my page, but I think I can link them.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: I think I can link them so if you're interested in Savannah, Georgia, there's some pictures there.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: And if you see some little orbs or ghosts or something weird in the background, let me know because I'm into that kind of stuff.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Or if you have pictures laying around that you see Oh yeah, from Savannah.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Or anywhere.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: We just want to see them.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: I'll see, especially this time of year.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: I'll see all the spooky stuff.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: You know, when I win the lottery where I want to go?
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Where?
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Uh, Ghost Adventures, that show.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Well, they've been still been making them all along, and I caught some of the season of 2025.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: They went to the poltergeist house.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: It's been made into an Airbnb, but they got to investigate it, and some stuff happens.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: And I was all enthralled.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: I'm sitting there drinking a little glass of wine, watching Ghost Adventures, just loving every minute of it.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: And I was obsessed with poltergeist.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: And just by chance, that's the next movie review after the one coming out this week is Children of the Corn.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: But the next one will be Poltergeist.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: I see it's um it's on for streaming.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: Poltergeist and The Shining.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: You just love Jack Nicholson.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: But anyway, I may have to um take a little scan of those too.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: Would you watch Poltergeist together?
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: I watched it back in the day and was terrified.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: And you know, it was really filmed in that house, except for the staircase scene, you know, where they show the big staircase because there's like, I don't know, the version of CGI that they had back then.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: That was in a film studio.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: So there's a different staircase in the house, but the kitchen where the chairs all stack up when they look away, all that is in that house.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: And think we could go stay in it for about probably a thousand bucks a night.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Woo! And we have to fly out to California.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't know why that trip's not booked right now.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: I know, get your shoes, bitch.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: I think it's sim I want to say Seming Valley, California.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Maybe S-I-M I.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: Maybe we should just watch the movie.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: Well, we can start there.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: I do like Craig T.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Nelson.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: Love him.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Let's just watch the movie and start there.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: Start there.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: That'll be enough nostalgia for now for me.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Well, if I could get you to watch it with me, then you could be on that next podcast.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, Joy.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: I do think that'll be great.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm not making promises.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: I'm detecting sarcasm.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: But I don't know.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe if you buy me a glass of wine, I could be tempted.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: And then there'll be another one where I was like, what did you think of that?
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: And you'll be like, I don't know.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: How many wine in there?
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: How many wine glasses was I?
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Did you listen to my Rocky Horror one?
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: The one about Tim Curry.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: I feel like I did.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: But I guess somehow on my five-glass rating, the Rocky Horror Picture Show earned 17 wine glasses.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: How did that happen?
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: On your one little podcast.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Well, Tim Curry probably got 10.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: He got a lot of.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: He got a lot of.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: He got a lot.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: And Susan Sarandon just had her 80th birthday.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: It goes fast.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: We're getting old.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: We're getting old.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: But Savannah, Georgia is such a pretty place.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: It's a pretty place.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: It ranks up there with um St.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Augustine, Casadega, those kind of places.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: I love the nostalgia of it.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: I love the old houses, old buildings, brick roads.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: The history.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: And the next time we're going to go to the paranormal museum.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, and one place we do need to talk about just because I want to go so bad, the old pink house.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: And it's a restaurant with a tavern underneath, and it's supposed to be highly haunted, but it's, you know, very upscale.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: And I thought, let's go have a nice dinner.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: We'll do that.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: So we go over there when it opens, there's a line already.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: There's a long wait.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: So we go down to the tavern part, which the tavern does not take reservations, and it's so dark in there.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: I was able to kind of peep in, put my head in there, and it was going to be another wait, too.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: Curry and I have made the pack that next time we go, we're going to have to at four o'clock go get in that line for that tavern.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, bust in there.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: Because I was so hurt over that one.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: And there's a woman, she's the wife of a resident that I have, and she was even like, you have to go to the old pink house.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: And that was on the to-do list.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: And we went over there and just didn't want to wait two hours.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: I was hungry, so we ended up at a Vietnamese restaurant, which was very good.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of little shops around there with like anime stuff.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: You know, that's not really my thing, but Yeah, that wouldn't have been my cup of tea.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: But you know, I mean, yeah, cute stuff around it.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, stuff to see.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: That you don't get to see every day.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: I think that's what makes going someplace different fun.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: It is fun.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: And there is public transportation.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: I wish it wouldn't have been sunny that day because one of those bus stops was just like, Where's the trees?
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: You know, all these tree-lined streets we've been on, and all of a sudden I'm in the sun.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: And I don't do well in the sun.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: At all.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: And I hate to admit that, but I've lived in air conditioning for so long, and the sun has always been my enemy.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: It's always given me headaches.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: You know, I have light colored eyes.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: It hurts.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Not a fan.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: I'm pale.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: And so I'm out there, no sunscreen.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: And I had one of those shirts on that had my shoulders out and everything.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: I don't know if there's still sun on me or not.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Look at that.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: You might have got a little sun.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: I might have.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: If I peel, I'm a shit.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: If you do, you stay in your room till it's done.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Dead skin all over.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: That's gross.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: You know, it's supposed to be a haunted city.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: I didn't see any ghost that we know of, but I'm going to go back and check on my pictures.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: I'll try to link everything so they can be seen.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: If you have any pictures, send them to BS Studios at myyahoo.com.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: We would love to see them.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: And we'll post them if you'll give us the word.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: With approval.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: If you don't want them post it, we won't post them.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: But we want to see.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we want to see.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: We're nose eyeballs.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: I want to see stuff.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: I do too.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: I want to believe.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: I want to believe.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: I'm like Mulder.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Is that a wrap?
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: I guess we'll wrap it on this one because our next episode is actually going to be about Anne Hathaway.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: We were saying, I don't really I didn't know I liked her so much.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: And I think she's on our brain just because we've watched two movies with her in it back to back, and they're two completely different movies.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: And that other one with Dakota Johnson.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Is that her name?
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: It's a new one.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, uh Verity?
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: Verity.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Supposed to be her third hit of the year.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: So, and she's fixing to disappear to have a bait.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: We'll be back and talk about her because both of us are big fans tonight.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Because why not?
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: I was telling Curry about that subject and she goes, I love the Princess Diaries.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: I was like, I know, and I love Julie Andrews.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: And she even said that'd be sacrilegious not to love Julie Andrews.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: What the hell?
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess we're gonna wrap it up on Let's Wine with Brendan Stacey.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Bye.
