- 0:12Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen, It's the Ron Edwards American Experience Talk Show,
- 0:32Speaker 5: where our unalienable rights are celebrated. And now, your radio refreshment,
- 0:38Speaker 5: Ron Edwards.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Ooh!
- 1:00Speaker 3: Welcome, welcome to the Ron Edwards American Experience. I'm Ron Edwards,
- 1:04Speaker 3: and thanks for tuning in from throughout America and around
- 1:07Speaker 3: the world. Well, you just heard at the top of
- 1:10Speaker 3: the hour news that the U.S. poverty rate fell to
- 1:14Speaker 3: the lowest level on record in 2025, while median household
- 1:19Speaker 3: income has climbed to record highs, according to the U.S.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Census Bureau. The official poverty rate dropped 0.5 percentage points
- 1:27Speaker 3: to 10.2% a year ago, leaving 34.5 million people in poverty.
- 1:29Speaker 3: That's according to data released by the Bureau. Now, the
- 1:32Speaker 3: decline was the second consecutive annual drop and the lowest
- 1:49Speaker 3: rate since the agency began tracking the measure. While median
- 1:53Speaker 3: household income rose 2.6% to $ 87, 460, the highest on record,
- 2:00Speaker 3: dating all the way back to 1967, the White House
- 2:03Speaker 3: hailed the figure, which covered the first year of President
- 2:08Speaker 3: Donald Trump's second term. President Trump has proven once again
- 2:13Speaker 3: that his economic agenda is good for the country. delivering
- 2:17Speaker 3: historic working-class prosperity in his first year back in office. Now,
- 2:21Speaker 3: imagine if the president were allowed to fully implement his tariffs. Now,
- 2:27Speaker 3: history proves that tariffs are one of the top ways
- 2:32Speaker 3: that America became rich and can be wealthy again at
- 2:37Speaker 3: an even higher rate than even during the Great Gilded Age,
- 2:41Speaker 3: with record high tariffs. Real income and record low poverty rates,
- 2:46Speaker 3: breaking the records he set during his first term. Amazing,
- 2:51Speaker 3: amazing stuff. And yet the Federal Reserve wanted to raise
- 2:54Speaker 3: interest rates. Now, the excuse for the higher interest rates is,
- 2:58Speaker 3: of course, they say, well, we have to tamp down inflation. Well,
- 3:03Speaker 3: in my humble opinion, okay, they should have at least
- 3:08Speaker 3: left the rates where they were or lowered them 25%.
- 3:12Speaker 3: basis points. The reason why, because just, you know, a
- 3:17Speaker 3: quarter percent like that wouldn't be much, but it would
- 3:21Speaker 3: be enough to maybe make up for some of the
- 3:26Speaker 3: tariffs that have been blocked by these black-robed, gone-wild judges.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Just enough. Or the least, very least, they should have
- 3:35Speaker 3: left it where it was. But, things being the way
- 3:40Speaker 3: they are, I believe the economy will continue to chug along.
- 3:45Speaker 3: The only problem I have is that if these interest
- 3:49Speaker 3: rates are allowed to remain this high for too long,
- 3:53Speaker 3: it will bring to a halt building projects around the country,
- 4:00Speaker 3: both industrial and other types, such as new office buildings, etc.,
- 4:05Speaker 3: and things like that, major projects that I see that
- 4:08Speaker 3: are slated to... began for cities like Cleveland, New York,
- 4:14Speaker 3: and others that are, you know, they're getting ready to
- 4:19Speaker 3: embark upon billions and billions of building projects, Cincinnati, and
- 4:27Speaker 3: each of those cities that I just named, over $ 3
- 4:30Speaker 3: billion of new construction within the next few years, slated. Now,
- 4:35Speaker 3: that could be delayed because of these higher interest rates.
- 4:39Speaker 3: And they also, you know, they point to the war
- 4:43Speaker 3: in Iran. Yeah, that's a pain in the neck. Yeah,
- 4:47Speaker 3: it's a bit of a situation when you go to
- 4:51Speaker 3: the pump and, yeah, the gas is higher. But I'd
- 4:55Speaker 3: rather have some prices that are a little higher, in
- 5:02Speaker 3: some cases a lot higher, but everything else is still
- 5:06Speaker 3: moving ahead in a positive light. jobs being produced, things
- 5:11Speaker 3: being built, general prosperity continue to grow because the poverty
- 5:16Speaker 3: rate is shrinking. See, those are the things that we
- 5:20Speaker 3: should be more concerned about building. And if you really
- 5:23Speaker 3: want to tamp down inflation, Federal Reserve, and you people
- 5:27Speaker 3: on the Federal Reserve know this, okay, you need to
- 5:31Speaker 3: have a real heart-to-heart talk with Mike Johnson and the
- 5:35Speaker 3: gang over there in Congress and say, hey, wait a minute, fellas.
- 5:39Speaker 3: And gals, how about slowing down your spending, the rate
- 5:44Speaker 3: of your spending? And if you really want this economy
- 5:49Speaker 3: to really grow like crazy, all you have to do
- 5:52Speaker 3: is go back to the spending levels of 2019 before
- 5:57Speaker 3: the Corona China virus, scandemic, and all that that happened.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Just back to the spending level of that time. With
- 6:09Speaker 3: the continued prosperity and the allowing of taxes, the deficit
- 6:15Speaker 3: would take care of itself. It would greatly depreciate and
- 6:18Speaker 3: be gone within a few years. And now that is
- 6:23Speaker 3: a very simple, very doable solution. Very doable.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Very doable.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Not difficult. It's not something that calls for Massive sacrifice
- 6:37Speaker 3: for the American people. What will be sacrificed, okay, is prosperity, jobs, growth, etc.,
- 6:47Speaker 3: if these interest rates are allowed to remain high for
- 6:51Speaker 3: too long. Now, this is a gamble right here. Now,
- 6:56Speaker 3: those higher interest rates should only be allowed to stay
- 6:59Speaker 3: at that level until, at the very longest, at the
- 7:03Speaker 3: next appointed time, that the Federal Reserve has to either
- 7:08Speaker 3: lower or increase the rates at the next appointed time.
- 7:15Speaker 3: But I would lower them even before that date. Because
- 7:20Speaker 3: if you really want to tamp down inflation, you have
- 7:23Speaker 3: to tamp down rampant government spending because it's the government spending.
- 7:30Speaker 3: And wait a minute. Oh, wait a minute. The Federal
- 7:33Speaker 3: Reserve has to stop printing money money, that is fiat money,
- 7:40Speaker 3: into oblivion. They are also a cause of it. They
- 7:44Speaker 3: print so much money that because it's not worth anything
- 7:49Speaker 3: other than what we say or they say, the value
- 7:53Speaker 3: of the U.S. dollar continues to reduce. You know, you
- 7:59Speaker 3: look at the spending power of a dollar today as
- 8:03Speaker 3: opposed to how it was during the Kennedy administration. And
- 8:08Speaker 3: it's because it's been overproduced. Now, of course, they don't
- 8:13Speaker 3: talk about this on major networks or in the government because, A,
- 8:18Speaker 3: they never want you to really know about real solutions
- 8:22Speaker 3: that are just easy peasy to do. And trust me
- 8:29Speaker 3: when I say this. There's a lot of people in
- 8:32Speaker 3: Congress that are angry over the fact that the majority
- 8:36Speaker 3: of the elements of the economy are doing very well.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Because it is the literal goal of the Federal Reserve
- 8:44Speaker 3: and many in Congress to make sure that things do
- 8:47Speaker 3: not go well only to harm the Trump administration so
- 8:51Speaker 3: that incurably ignorant masses of voters would go in another
- 8:56Speaker 3: direction so as to bring about more misery even greater
- 9:03Speaker 3: than what we went through during the You know, three
- 9:07Speaker 3: Ali Obama terms. The first two original Ali Obama terms
- 9:12Speaker 3: and then Ali Obama Biden.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:19Speaker 3: It's a battle between those that want to continue the
- 9:22Speaker 3: greatness of America and land of opportunity for we the
- 9:25Speaker 3: people and those who want to wipe that out and
- 9:30Speaker 3: make this a huge republic of misery. It's a shame
- 9:36Speaker 3: that it's gotten down to that. But that is the
- 9:41Speaker 3: reality of today. And so it's basically coming down to
- 9:47Speaker 3: which side will win. Those who want a greater America,
- 9:52Speaker 3: a better America, a strong America, or those who want
- 9:55Speaker 3: what was present under the Uncle Joe Biden administration. And so,
- 10:03Speaker 3: those of us who want better for not only ourselves,
- 10:06Speaker 3: but for our generations to come, we have to do
- 10:11Speaker 3: a better job of acting like that's what we want.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Making sure that now that Johnson has sent the Congress
- 10:20Speaker 3: people home that we get their attention. That they're not
- 10:25Speaker 3: just here to convince.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Us, oh, vote for us, vote for us.
- 10:28Speaker 3: But we have to remind.

- 14:35Speaker 3: Making the strong case why Democrats should never, ever, ever,
- 14:40Speaker 3: ever be allowed to take control of the federal government,
- 14:44Speaker 3: particularly Congress and the Senate. Hello, I'm Ron Edwards. Welcome
- 14:48Speaker 3: back to the Ron Edwards American Experience. You know, the
- 14:51Speaker 3: power rate for children and Hispanics just hit record lows,
- 14:56Speaker 3: while the median household incomes have hit record highs. I
- 15:01Speaker 3: know that everyone is bummed over higher gasoline prices, yes.
- 15:05Speaker 3: We're paying between $ 5 and $ 4 to $ 5 per gallon.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Driving past a gas station sign is like looking at
- 15:13Speaker 3: a weather barometer for our national economy. Worse, it's also
- 15:18Speaker 3: a barometer for the likely outcome of the midterm elections,
- 15:22Speaker 3: and that's a shame for a number of reasons, including
- 15:26Speaker 3: people should not tie the election based on how much
- 15:30Speaker 3: we pay for gas, because you have to look at
- 15:32Speaker 3: the broader picture, my friends. Well, the first is that
- 15:37Speaker 3: as much as it sucks, and it does suck that
- 15:39Speaker 3: we're paying a higher price, but it's to ensure. You know,
- 15:46Speaker 3: they say that it's ensure that Iran doesn't get their
- 15:49Speaker 3: hands on a nuclear bomb. But I think that even
- 15:53Speaker 3: more importantly, because it's something they can do right away,
- 15:59Speaker 3: to ensure that Iran is no longer in a position
- 16:04Speaker 3: to finance terrorist around the world. I think that's very
- 16:11Speaker 3: important too. Secondly, the debate around gas prices should be
- 16:16Speaker 3: focused on the real problem that is bigger than the
- 16:21Speaker 3: situation dealing with Iran. American refining capacity is a big problem.
- 16:27Speaker 3: In fact, to the point it's criminal. Our pathetic, asinine
- 16:32Speaker 3: refining capacity capacity is where the bottleneck raising prices is
- 16:38Speaker 3: coming from. You know, America is, in fact, the United
- 16:43Speaker 3: States of America is exporting oil. The real problem, my friends,
- 16:47Speaker 3: is that the Democrats and RINOs and environmentalist wackos, extremists,
- 16:53Speaker 3: have so terrorized the oil industry that no one is
- 16:58Speaker 3: willing to open up many new refineries in America. I
- 17:01Speaker 3: think that one or two are being built right now
- 17:03Speaker 3: in Louisiana and Texas, that's about it. And everyone is
- 17:08Speaker 3: afraid to open up a new one and much needed
- 17:12Speaker 3: refinery capacity with Trump in charge because they know that
- 17:16Speaker 3: if Democrats someday recapture power, they'll just make them close
- 17:22Speaker 3: those refineries. They'll make them shut them down. This reality
- 17:25Speaker 3: forces us as a nation to count on refineries outside
- 17:30Speaker 3: of the United States. For example, California used to be
- 17:35Speaker 3: self-sufficient when it comes to refining oil for that state. Okay? Well,
- 17:43Speaker 3: under Governor Newsom and his predecessor, I think they shut
- 17:48Speaker 3: down about 12 refineries in California alone. And so I
- 17:54Speaker 3: think they have seven. They're shutting down another one soon, six.
- 17:58Speaker 3: So they cannot refine enough petrol refineries for their own state.
- 18:05Speaker 3: So on purpose, and this was a purposeful setup, they
- 18:09Speaker 3: have to recruit oil that has to be sent elsewhere
- 18:15Speaker 3: to be refined and then shipped back. That adds to
- 18:19Speaker 3: the cost of gasoline prices in California, which will always
- 18:24Speaker 3: remain higher than the rest of ours when ours do
- 18:27Speaker 3: return to lower rates. And in fact, even those are
- 18:31Speaker 3: Though ours is at a higher rate, California's is still
- 18:34Speaker 3: higher than all of ours. If America had a reasonable
- 18:39Speaker 3: refining capacity, Iran would have no leverage over us at all.
- 18:45Speaker 3: But thanks to Democrats, or no thanks, that's the situation
- 18:49Speaker 3: we find ourselves in. Oh yes, they're butt-kissing rhino friends.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Now we come to the good. No great news whatsoever.
- 18:58Speaker 3: About the economy, poverty rates, including for child poverty and
- 19:02Speaker 3: Hispanic poverty, have just hit the lowest numbers on record. Meanwhile,
- 19:08Speaker 3: median household income after inflation has hit a record high.
- 19:12Speaker 3: As I stated in the first break, $ 87, 460, up $ 2, 250
- 19:14Speaker 3: from 2024 after inflation. The poverty rate fell to 10.2%,
- 19:15Speaker 3: which is another record. Good news! The official poverty rate
- 19:31Speaker 3: for children fell to a historic low of 13.4% in 2025,
- 19:34Speaker 3: according to the U.S.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Census Bureau.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Man, between 2024 and 2025, the official poverty rate for
- 19:39Speaker 3: Hispanic individuals decreased to an historic low of 13.9% thank
- 19:53Speaker 3: you capitalism what's more unless you are a crazy goofball
- 20:00Speaker 3: or an addict living on the streets no one in
- 20:04Speaker 3: the United States of America is truly poor anymore let's
- 20:09Speaker 3: get real Look at the state of American poverty. Today,
- 20:13Speaker 3: instead of a hunger problem, the poor have an obesity problem.
- 20:19Speaker 3: The greatest percentage of fat people, you know, like weebles, okay?
- 20:26Speaker 3: Wobbling weebles, fat people. The greatest percentage of them are
- 20:29Speaker 3: among the so-called poor.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 20:32Speaker 3: The poor also have a place to live. Central heat.
- 20:38Speaker 5: A $ 1, 400 phone.
- 20:40Speaker 3: The Internet, in many cases free health care, plasma televisions,
- 20:47Speaker 3: a Blu-ray player, a video game console, a microwave oven.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I wouldn't, but I wouldn't recommend using a microwave. And
- 20:57Speaker 3: most likely, some form of air conditioning. Long ago, American
- 21:02Speaker 3: capitalism had already defeated poverty. The modern-day poverty rate is
- 21:07Speaker 3: just a number smaller It's a useful number, but thanks
- 21:10Speaker 3: to American America, poverty ain't what it used to be.
- 21:16Speaker 3: And that's a lovely thing. The only thing that the
- 21:19Speaker 3: people have to worry about that live in so-called poverty,
- 21:22Speaker 3: maybe clean up, be a little more neat in their
- 21:26Speaker 3: homes and outside of their homes.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Many of us, I would say 80% of all Americans
- 21:36Speaker 3: have had days where You know, things were kind of lean.
- 21:42Speaker 3: But in some cases, you didn't always know it because
- 21:44Speaker 3: they carried themselves with dignity. Their homes were still clean.
- 21:49Speaker 3: And they didn't allow themselves to reflect their hard times
- 21:55Speaker 3: that they were going through. And those are the kind
- 21:58Speaker 3: of people that get out of those hard times. Ask
- 22:02Speaker 3: me how I know. Been there, done that. And so,
- 22:06Speaker 3: it is what it is. It depends on what people want.
- 22:12Speaker 3: And see, these are the kinds of things that we
- 22:13Speaker 3: should be building on. We should be celebrating this. This
- 22:16Speaker 3: is the kind of stuff, these are the messages that
- 22:17Speaker 3: the Republicans should be getting out bigly to the American people.
- 22:22Speaker 3: At the same time, see, they've got to do this
- 22:24Speaker 3: creatively and simultaneously. Get that good news out there, just
- 22:29Speaker 3: bang away with it. Bang away. While at the same time,
- 22:34Speaker 3: pointing out the truth about the opposition. Oh yeah. About
- 22:41Speaker 3: the opposition and their friends. Like Hassan Parker, Piker rather,
- 22:48Speaker 3: who claims that America is worse than Al-Qaeda, has caused
- 22:52Speaker 3: tremendous terror all around the world. Yeah, America has created
- 22:56Speaker 3: tremendous terror against terrorists, against people that think like he does.
- 23:06Speaker 3: And prayerfully, I hope America continues to be terror against terrorists.
- 23:14Speaker 3: If we would really buck up in our country, someone
- 23:17Speaker 3: like him would be deported. I would get him the
- 23:22Speaker 3: hell out of here. And while we're at it, I
- 23:28Speaker 3: would also clean up our nation's education system. Because we're
- 23:34Speaker 3: in a kind of an emergency situation. when it comes
- 23:39Speaker 3: to the education system of our country. Peter Schweitzer, he
- 23:44Speaker 3: said that American children are getting dumber, and that's true.
- 23:48Speaker 3: In this age of computers and AI, and on the
- 23:52Speaker 3: other side of the break, I'll give
