A dog named Willow survived a terrifying 60-foot plunge off Elora Gorge after getting loose during a camping trip. Park staff and firefighters searched in vain at night, but the next morning, Ground Search and Rescue KW used an infrared camera to spot her alive—downstream and barely moving. Rescuers crossed the river via inflatable raft, and despite being a skittish rescue dog, Willow cooperated. She suffered only bruising and lung contusions, no broken bones.
