- Alex Williams: Hello and welcome to another episode of the Energy with Alex podcast. I'm Alex, your host, and this is your space to romanticize your life so that you can drop into the present moment and find magic in every single day. This is also a place you can always come to for honest truths and deep conversations and a lot of fun too. I am so excited to have you here. Let's get started. Hello and welcome back. Thank you so much for tuning in for another episode. I'm just really excited for tonight. I am personally recording at 8:30 p.m., which is different from my usual times I record. So the sun has set. I'm in my cozy clothes, about to have a hot drink. So I'm just really feeling good and excited. I just did a whole or had a whole day with my sister where we got so much stuff. For fall decorations for my house and my front porch. And it just feels so exciting to have a space to call my own, to be able to decorate it how I want and add my own personal things in. And I have I've never had my own home to be able to decorate in that way. And even growing up, I didn't celebrate holidays. And so this is really like my first time. in my life that I get to have a space just completely decked out for Halloween and then for Christmas and then for spring and whatever I want. I get to choose how it looks and we got the wreaths all set up and we've got garland hanging from my door and just all these other cutesy little things and I'm just I'm I'm floored for just how much fun it is to have a space to call my own. and to just have beautiful decorations that are honestly kind of a pain to put up, but it's worth it. It really is. So I am going to today talk about 10 ways to add more whimsy into our daily life. I thought this would be a fun episode to do because I feel like the word whimsy is kind of a buzzword right now. And I want to kind of like dive into that. What does it mean and how can we actually add it into our life rather than just hearing other people talk about it? Like how can we actually find ways to apply it into not just like our life in general, but our daily life? Like what are small things that we can be doing every day that's not adding a lot of time or money or resources? It's not like a big effort. It's not like we have to uproot our lives to start a whole new ritual or or whatever it may be. It's like there are small things that we can be doing every single day to add a little bit more magic into our life. And so, first of all, what is whimsy? So whimsy is like this childlike wonder, this childlike fun and playfulness and charm and magic. It's just that feeling that you get when you, when you Remember what it was like to just run around on the playground with your childhood best friend without a worry in the world. All you cared about was the game that you were playing and you felt like the character you were playing in that moment was really you and magic was really real and there were fairies flying everywhere and mermaids in when you were in the pool and all of these things are just as adults we kind of lose that spark a little bit. We we lose The priority of play. And I love that whimsiness is getting its time to come back and it's kind of trending again because I think it's so important. And it can be easy to kind of write off when these trends happen. But I do think that there's something to be said that so many people are looking at how we can add in more childlike. fun and more whimsy and magic into our day-to-day life because I truly believe life is meant to be enjoyed. Fun is meant to be prioritized. And when you're an adult who has bills to pay and things to do and people to take care of, it can feel like that's the least important thing. But honestly, I think it is one of the most important things for ourselves and our mental health and just our overall happiness and well-being. So I wrote a list of 10 ways we can add more whimsy into our daily life. And I'll just kind of talk about each one. It'll just be a nice, like short, random, sweet episode. And it should just be a lot of fun. So let's see what I have for the first one. Number one is to use the nice products. So this is, my gosh, I wish I had it with me. Let me see if I have it. I meant to have it with me for the episode. Okay, I can't find it. But I had a moment a while ago. I used to personally be someone who I would get nice things, like nice candles or nice pens or stationary or stickers or colored pencils or whatever it may be. I would get like really nice things and then I would feel really stressed about using it because then when I use it, it's gonna be gone. And so I would like Hoard these nice things that I would get, or these cute things, or pretty things. And I wouldn't use them because I would just feel stressed, like, I need the perfect occasion to use them. And I have always kind of been like this. And you know, it's like I would kind of like just think it was a funny thing. But then one day Okay, I remembered I was a little girl and I loved writing letters to my friends. And so I asked my mom if I could please get this Tinkerbell stationery set. It had like green envelopes with all of these fairies and woodsy things on it, and it was so beautiful. And then the paper was scalloped. And it had Tinkerbell and other fairies and some silver sparkles. And it was just so beautiful. And it came with matching little stickers that you could put on to seal the envelope and to decorate everything. And I loved it. And I remember when she got it for me, it was like this beautiful packaged stationery set. And I was so excited for it. And I was always like, okay, I've gotta find the right occasion. Like, I can't just write. Letter to my friend on a random Tuesday. Like it's gotta be for something really special. Or it's gotta be, you know, I write to her all the time. Like maybe this should be like the first letter I write to a new friend, or I don't know. I kept trying to come up with reasons of why I shouldn't use it yet. Even though I desperately wanted it when I was a little kid and my mom finally got finally got it for me. So a few months ago when we were packing and getting ready to move into my house, I had a big box of like miscellaneous things and things that were like stashed in my desk and boxes I haven't used or whatever. So I was going through those and and seeing what's coming with me and what's not. And then I pulled out the Tinkerbell stationery set. Unopened, never used before. And that just was a moment where I was like, damn, what a shame. What a shame. The little girl version of me was so excited for this stationary set. And I wanted it so badly. And it was so magical and pretty. I mean, I still love it. Looking at it now, like with the sparkles and the scalloped edges and the fairies, it was so beautiful. And I never could give myself a good enough reason to use it. And now I don't really I mean I I will I would love now to write a letter to somebody. I'm going to do it for sure. But my gosh, I had all these pen pals and I just loved writing to my friends when I was little and I never got to have that moment. And that might seem silly or not a very big deal, but it really shows you how we can get so worked up on things needing to be a special occasion to use the nice products. Or to light the nice candle or to use the nice lotion or facial scrub that you just splurged on And then we're waiting for this special occasion. But guys, the special occasion is that we're alive. We're here on this earth today in this body, in this version of yourself that you'll never be again. You woke up today in your bed, eyes open, hearts been beating, doing its thing as you were sleeping, and you get blessed with another 24 hours to live your life however you want to. You have the opportunity today to eat good food, to laugh with your friends, to play with your dog, to be with your family. To work and make money. Like you have these beautiful opportunities every single day to just be. And that should be the special occasion. I still sometimes struggle with getting like a really nice candle and thinking I can't light it until XYZ. But it's like, why? The special occasion is that I'm in my home. With my husband, and and it looks beautiful in my home, and I'm proud of it, and I'm happy to be here. And I want to create a warm, loving space. So I'm gonna celebrate the hell out of every single day by using the nice products. And that to me is creating more magic in my life because the more gifts I give to myself in that way. The more that I am setting up sending a message to the universe that I love nice things and I deserve nice things and to treat myself. And then I feel like whatever you put out is what you get back. And so if you are treating yourself with that kind of love and respect, then I feel like it's gonna come back to you tenfold. If you treat every day like it's a celebration and that you are worthy of the beautiful things that you have. And it doesn't have to be expensive things. It can just be nice things, nice to you. when I take that everything shower and the girls will know the everything shower, right? And you you wash your hair and you shave and you have exfoliation Like I treat that as an actual ritual. I use all my nice products, my exfoliator. I have a facial steamer that I use beforehand to open my pores up. I have moisturizer that I love and some lotion and body oil. And I it's like I used to just do a few drops because I don't wanna have to get a new bottle too soon But it's like slather that on you. Feel the oil. If we treat ourselves to things and then we're so reserved with how much we want to give ourselves and it's like, what message are we sending here? Let's just enjoy it. Let's use the nice products. So maybe you have a candle that's been sitting on your nightstand that you don't want to light because of a special occasion or somebody gave it to you as a gift and you want to keep it. Maybe you have a beautiful bottle of lotion that you've been wanting to use, but you know, once you start using it, it's gonna be empty soon. No, use it now. Use it now and and give yourself some love as you use it. Light the candle and set a little intention that the vibes and the energy that comes from this candle is all good energy and it's going to enrich your home and and cleanse your home. And then if you put on that lotion or that good product, give your body some love. Send some love to yourself. Treat yourself as you would. Someone that you love dearly because you should be somebody that you love dearly, it's like when we have a baby and we are putting lotion on them, we're like, you're so cute, you're so beautiful, and and we're just loving on them and nourishing them and nurturing them. Let's give some of that love and energy back to ourselves. We deserve it. Okay, number one, use the nice products. I gotta be a little quicker because that was that was a long tangent. Okay, number two. Create some whimsy with your hot drink that you have in the morning. So this could be your cup of coffee, tea, matcha, black tea, herbal tea, I personally drink cacao every morning. It could be lemon water, you have a ritual that you already do. When people hear like rituals, they think that it has to be this long spiritual thing that you're adding in. But there are rituals that we're doing every single day that we're not even really thinking about. And we almost almost all of us have a hot drink or a drink in the morning to kind of symbolize the start of our day. Maybe we're drinking a it for the caffeine if we like coffee or black tea or whatever, or maybe we love the taste. Whatever it is, a lot of times the hot drink is also a symbol of just the start of our day. It kind of is this way for our body and our hearts to just wake up and be like, Okay, we're here. Take that first sip. You're feeling good. You're starting to come back alive after a long night's sleep or a deep sleep. And you have a moment here that a lot of times can kind of not go to waste, but we have a deeper opportunity here with our hot drink. So what I always do is with my cup of cacao that I have in the morning, is I make it up. And as I'm making it up, I try to be really present with that. I don't like to check my phone when I first wake up. So I have it on sleep mode still. And I have my phone bricked so no social media is even available to open if I wanted to. And I like to focus. So I either put on some nice music or I listen to a meditation just playing in the background as I'm making up my drink. I make sure to take a little extra time with it. I put some cayenne pepper and cinnamon and maple syrup or honey and my cacao and I mix it all up and I use my frother to get it nice and frothy. And as I'm doing it, it's like I'm just present with what I'm doing. Even if it's not a long time, I just make sure that my mind is there for the moment. I'm not trying to rush to the next thing. And then when I drink it, obviously I would love usually to have a long amount of time to drink it and really go deep into my spiritual practice. But let's just put that aside for a moment and say like you don't have a lot of time, or some days you're not going to have a lot of time. What you can always do. Is have your drink in your hand, take a few deep breaths in through the nose, out through the mouth. And just set some intentions, wishes, prayers, whatever word speaks to you, letting yourself take a moment to think about the day that you are wishing to have, the things that you want to call forward, the opportunities you want to have, the way you would like to feel, the things that you're ready to call in, invite in, to be a magnet to. things that maybe you're ready to release, maybe you're you know you're going to have a really busy day and you want to make sure that you stay grounded. Maybe you're not feeling well and so you want to make sure that your body is really focused on your cells regenerating for optimal health and that you are able to really rest today. maybe somebody in your life is struggling and you want to send them love This is your time to almost like send wishes into a wishing well, but it's your drink. And so you're sending the wishes down. That could just be speaking the intentions or saying your wishes or praying over it. Again, whatever feels good to you. And I really do believe that that cup like energy can go into liquid and let that be absorbed. And then as you take your your sips, you can feel that warmth. It's then coming back into you. And it's like you can even track it when you sip it. It it goes into your mouth, it goes down your throat, and then you feel it in your heart for a moment. And it's like all of that energy that you just created with your wishes, your intentions, your prayers, you're putting that into the liquid, and then it's coming back into you. And it's just kind of like. expanding the possibilities of that coming to you because you're being present with what it is you really want today. You're asking for what you really want today. And you're just, you're really being there in that moment. And then as you drink it, it's like you're drinking this little cup of wishes and it's coming all the way down into your heart space and it's filling your heart with warmth. And it's a really beautiful ritual that you can do for yourself. If you end up having more time, you can go deeper into that. You can do a little bit of breath work, some energy work, some dancing or somatic movement, or whatever your practice is that feels good. EFT tapping, there's just so many things. So whatever modality speaks to you, if you have time, you can go into it. But if you don't have time, just The setting of intentions, speaking that into your cup, and then taking sips is a beautiful practice that you can do that, I believe, adds some magic into your life. Because right off the bat, you're just making some wishes, and I think that's really beautiful and magical. Okay. Number three, read fiction. my gosh. Fiction is such a beautiful way to transport yourself into another world for a moment. I Love nonfiction books. I love self-improvement and personal development, spiritual development, all of that stuff. I love learning and I think there's a time and a place for it. Absolutely. And I also think it's important to kind of track if you are only reading things that are always to better yourself, always to get to the next version of yourself. It's so fantastic to want to always grow and be the best person that you can be. But who you are right now is really special too. And so just make sure that you're not feeling any burnout with the things that you're reading. Maybe if things are ever making you feel like you're not enough as you are, or you constantly have to climb and grow and hustle in order to be s another level of you and your growth, then maybe take a little break. It's not the end of the world to take a break. I'm personally taking quite a big break from self development at the moment. I know that I'll have that phase again. And there's a few books I actually have on my TBR that I am excited to read, but it's just not the right time right now. I am absolutely loving the feeling of reading just a good fiction book. And specifically for the whimsy part, try a little bit of fantasy. I think fantasy is so fun. I was trying to explain it to my fian my fiance. Where did that come from? I was trying to say this to my husband the other day. I'm reading the Crescent City series. I'm on the second book. I was telling him that there's just something so exciting to pick up a fantasy book. And you're deep in the magic you've learned the magic system. And it's almost like Disneyland in a book. It's like every single day when I get to open up the book, I'm like, ooh, like there's like this little feeling, this little spark of magic that happens because I know I'm about to be transported into a whole nother world and in a whole nother magic system. And I just think that that's really fun. And I am really enjoying it right now. I love a romance too. Doesn't have to be romanticy. I love just like a beautiful romance because it's just love is just a beautiful magical thing. And it's so cute to right before bed, especially, like open up, open up your book and just read a good love story or read a good fantasy Maybe it's a good mystery and it is making you think all throughout the day, like, I just want to get home and find out what happens next. like the genre that calls to you, give it a try. And it's such a great way to add into your good window routine because reading it keeps you from scrolling. You're transported into another world. A lot of times that world will be in my dreams the next that night. So I mean, if I'm in a like a scary part of my fantasy book, it can be kind of weird, but a lot of times it's kind of cool. It's like I'm having these magical dreams. And it's just like a fun experience. And then another little hack, which I'll talk about more either later or maybe in another episode. But I like to also read first thing in the morning. So after I do my little ritual with my hot drink, I then like to open my book and read a few pages. And I just think that that starts me in such a peaceful, grounded, and fun energy for the day. I just love it. it makes me feel like I have a luxurious life. it feels like luxury to me to be able to have a few minutes every morning to read my book outside. I just to me that that feels like luxury. And so you might have your own version of that, but That is something that really adds whimsy into my life is to read right before bed and read in the morning and to have it be a fun book that is just a good story. Stories are beautiful and magical. Okay. Number four, compliment people often. I think a at first I wrote compliment strangers often because I think that that's like way out of our comfort zone sometimes. I know I'll walk by someone and be like, my God, I love her dress or her hair is so pretty. I'll be chatting to someone, like maybe the barista, and I'll just be like, man, she's so nice. And then we don't actually say it. We don't actually tell someone. we don't go up to a random person and be like, I love your shoes. But think back to a time that somebody has just been like, my gosh, I love what you're wearing. All of a sudden that becomes my favorite outfit. I'm like, ugh. This girl, I don't even know, just told me that my dress is cute. I'm gonna wear this every single day. Like it feels really good. If someone says, your hair looks really good today, I'm like, well, there's a little pep in your step after that. You're like looking in the mirror, you're fluffing up your hair, you're like, Okay, I do look good. It's a good feeling to just receive a little bit of love. And so give that to people often. And then I actually took out the strangers and I wrote in just people because. Sometimes we take for granted the people in our life and we forget to compliment them. If your friend shows up or your family member shows up and you love their outfit, tell them. If their hair looks good, tell them. Like give people compliments and give it often and give it freely. It just feels good to make other people feel good. And people deserve to feel loved and adored and beautiful. So compliment people often. Okay, number five, wear. cute and matching PJ sets. my gosh. I love this one. I try to make a lot of them things like you don't have to spend money on, but yeah, you can have a lot of different price points for pajamas. And I think it can be so easy at the end of the night to just wear an oversized old t shirt that has a hole in it and mismatch sweatpants that you've had since high school. And sometimes that's the vibe. I do love that. But I've gotten a few matching sets and they just make me feel really good. Especially when it's a good fabric or it's some are cute for the summer. It's like shorts and a little button down shirt. I got a couple different tracksuits it feels good to come home and the day's not over I'm still tending to myself. I'm picking out another nice outfit that's cozy and I'm putting it on and even like putting on cute pair of socks and maybe a matching scrunchie, whatever. I don't want to just try to look cute when I'm going out. I like to look cute for me. And it it feels good to have a cute little matching set on and to just grab my little hot drink for the night, get my book, and it just it makes the night feel exciting. It makes it feel like life is a little bit more magical. And that's what this whole episode is about. So treat yourself to a nice matching pajama set and just see. And bonus points if you get a nice robe. The other day I got this really nice robe with some flowers on it. And it's just so cute and cozy. It's perfect for the fall and the winter because it's so warm. And yeah, just little things like that. we don't always have to get things for the public. Sometimes we just want to look cute for ourselves, and I think that that's important. Okay. Number six, what did I put? Find scents you enjoy and cover yourself with them. Okay, so with this one, I try really hard to have like clean products. So it is hard to find things that are fragrance free or are clean. I do sometimes use some hair perfume sprays that are clean, but if I really dissect the ingredients, it'll be labeled clean. But if I run it through my app, it'll be a four or a five out of a ten. ten being toxic. So it'll be like a three or a four or a five. It's just hard. And sometimes I think for me personally, a little bit of fragrance, I'll put a little bit on because I have this tart cherry that just smells like creativity to me. So before I record a podcast episode or gonna do some writing, I'll do my hair and then I'll like spritz some tart cherry in it and then I'll fluff my hair up and I don't know, it just gets me feeling good. Now, if you are like, no, I do not want to do any fragrance whatsoever. I love essential oils and I think you know, as long as you make sure that the one that you're using is good for your skin, maybe you need to make sure to mix it with like a coconut oil or some sort of base. but I personally love peppermint oil. It just makes me feel really good. I put it on like my temples, on my stomach, my wrists. It just like the smell of it is really calming and grounding to me. And then when I want something brighter, I love citrus smells. Orange grapefruit. And so just like kind of playing around. I love rose as well. I think rose smells so good and it just smells so feminine to me. And so finding a a scent or two or three that just make you feel good and then lathering yourself with it. Maybe that's a good body oil. maybe adding a couple drops of essential oil to it and just letting yourself be in that scent. I think that that's so fun. It honestly takes me back to like when I was a little kid and we would play like characters. what kind of energy do I want to embody today? And if I'm trying to be high energy, I'm gonna put a couple drops of that orange oil and I'm gonna put it on the base or behind my ears and the back of my neck and wherever feels good. And then maybe a couple sprays of that tart cherry. I'm feeling fresh. I'm feeling like a new person and new energy. So that is another little trick that I love. Number seven, write love letters to yourself. Love notes, love letters. I put love notes actually, but either way, if you want to write yourself a long love letter, do that too. It's awesome. But love notes. So I think this is really cute because what is more magical than having a loving relationship with yourself? You know, when you're in a relationship and you're just in that honeymoon phase or you're just totally in love with your partner. you write each other cute little notes. You know, I know like when I'm going on a girls' trip with my sister and nieces, or I'm gonna go sleep over at their house, I will write a little note saying, you know, how much I love Adam, my husband, and I'll put it on our pillow. if I'm going downstairs, you write a little note to your partner, whatever. cute little things. It's a way to show the person that you're thinking of them, that you love them. And so why don't we do that for ourselves too? Maybe write yourself some things that you really need to hear, some things that you love about yourself, some things that you're proud about yourself. I personally love the mirror. I'll put it on the mirror or I'll put it on my desk. I like to put ones on my desk about my creativity and how motivated I am and how good my ideas are and just how proud I am of The things that I've created. And so I'll put that all around my desk if I need some motivation. And then for the mirror, I like to put one centered around self-love and beauty and glowing from the inside out. And just things like that. Like, hey, just a reminder, I love you. And it's it's so funny. It's like we forget sometimes. Maybe we're focused on complimenting other people in our life. Maybe we're focused on making other people feel important, which is a beautiful thing. But then at the end of the day, we might realize, wow, I haven't really actually acknowledged myself at all, let alone given myself a compliment or showed myself how much I love myself. So write little love notes to yourself, write them often, and write them all over the house because that's just so cute. Okay. A lot of talking. Number eight, create little relationships with the critters living around your home or workplace. And not just little critters, but also your trees and your flowers. Okay. I love this one. This is this is whimsy. This is whimsy. So in my backyard, I have, you know, obviously I have my puppy. I love her to death. I my gosh, she's just the best. And then we go outside and there's squirrels, there's chipmunks, there's birds. there's even like I mean, I'm I'm I'm not a bug person, but There are like a couple spiders that are living in my backyard right now that have created some beautiful webs. And there are these toads, this big toad and this little toad, that always come every night. And the big toad, well, I haven't seen them in a couple weeks, but I it was really fun over the summer. I every night I would notice that the big toad or the little toad or both, they would come and they would sit on the outdoor dog bed. And it was so cute. So I gave them names, I would say hello to them when I would take my dog out to go potty. And I would always make sure to keep that dog bed there because they like it. They like sleeping on it, and it's it's just a cool little relationship that I feel like we had. And then a while back, even before that, I found in my Rosebush, I had baby red cardinals. I had a nest. First it was the eggs and then they hats and they had three little babies there. And the mom and the dad would come there and they would get really mad when my dog Chai would like go over to the bushes and inspect, and I would have to like go get her. And I'd like literally apologize to the parents. Like, I'm so sorry. And then I got to see them. I got to see them teach their babies how to fly. One time it was really scary because the mom and dad were like literally flying a little bit ahead of them and they would stop and they would wait and then the babies would start flying. my gosh. It was so cute. I got to see it firsthand multiple times. what a gift. It was two boys and a girl. the scary thing was like I'm so grateful that they chose my home. But it's like, y'all, we got a dog living here. And when they were learning how to fly, my dog almost got one. But I saved it. She didn't she didn't get the the bird in time. So thank goodness. But it just feels like, you know, I have these relationships. I have a bird bath out in my backyard and a bird feeder, but the squirrels did tip it all over and break it finally. So I do need to get a new one. But I just I have these relationships with these animals, and I have a couple trees in my front yard and my backyard. That I also feel a connection to and my garden. I'm always speaking love over my garden. these are living things that feel safe enough to come, like the animals feel safe enough to come here and to have a nest or to sleep on a dog bed, or to even make their web Gosh, that's cool that I am able to go out in my backyard and see other life that is not just me and my life that I'm living in here. and in in some way I'm a little part of their chapter that they get to use my backyard for safety I just think that that's really fun and I like to talk to them. I like to have little relationships with them, create little storylines for them. And then also I do believe that trees carry so much wisdom. So sit under your tree, maybe give your tree a hug, maybe decorate it. I'm gonna hang some crystals for my trees and make it all look beautiful and add some bird feeder like the critters in your home or around your home that if it's a hot summer day, make sure there's there's a little bit of extra water out there for them or whatever it may be. So I just think that that's a really beautiful way to just add some more magic. Number nine. Say good morning and good night to your house as you open and close your blinds. Tend to it like you would a cherished friend. Speak to your plants with love and care too. Same for your car. Okay. So this is a little bit like woo-woo thing that I do, but I always treat my house with so much respect. In the mornings I go and I open all my blinds up and I say good morning and I just let the sun peek through. And then at the end of the night, I go through the house and I close all the blinds. You know, we all do this. It's part of our own ritual that we do every day. But just adding that little bit of energy, like good night, good morning. I love my home. I love the energy that it has already. I love the safety I feel but between these walls. and This home is going to be such a cherished important part in my life. It's where I get to experience being married and starting this chapter. It's the only home that my dog has ever known. And it will be the home that we raise our babies in. This is gonna be the home that my children always say like that was my childhood home. And so it is not something to take lightly how wonderful it is to have a place to call your own and I love to treat it with respect and with love and with reverence. And so yeah, it might be woo-woo, but I say good morning to my house as I open up the blinds and I I just imagine like, okay, I'm waking up, my family's waking up, like my home is waking up too. Let's have a good day. and then with your car as well, it's like have a little respect for your car. It takes you from one place to the other with safety and protection. It's so easy to let your car get dirty. Like my car was so bad a while ago, but I cleaned it out, I got it detailed, and I've just been really speaking love and having a little bit of a protection prayer that I say when I go on drives and just treating my car with respect because these kind of things can be like an extension of yourself. And I think it's important to treat everything that is an extension of yourself with the utmost respect. Okay. Number 10, treat exercise as a form of energy healing. Okay, so this is such a cool one because a lot of us do exercise already, like it's part of our day-to-day life. So let's make it a little bit more magical. Let's turn it a little bit more ritualistic. So there are three ways to move stuck energy, and that is through breath, through sound, and through movement. So this is a really cool way to use the movement piece. to move through anything that maybe you're working through. So if I go on a run and I know that maybe there's some tricky emotions I've been feeling, I will then make sure to kind of take a moment, like we said again, coming back to that presence for just a moment before you just go straight into your workout. What is it that maybe is calling on my heart that I need to work on, that I need to release? Maybe there's something I need to gain clarity on. Maybe there's something that I need to cry or scream out or just like release or maybe there's something I'm ready to invite in, whatever it may be, set that intention for what you would like to come forward in that exercise and then let the movement do its thing. I find that when I do that, if there's something I really do want to release, or maybe it's just like, I just feel a little bit stuck right now. I want to just like move through this stuckness. And then I go for a run. I find that halfway through the run, I'll start crying. I'm not even upset, but it's like there's this this physical release that happens and I just trust my body knows what to do. My heart's pumping, my muscles are moving, the tears are flowing, like something is being released and I feel so much lighter afterwards. I know when I do cycle classes, I feel so good. I'm just moving my body. I think cardio is a great way to add in energy healing, but it could be with strength as well, strength training. If there's something that you're like ready to invite into your life, it's like you can feel through that as you're lifting the weights and you're letting your body do its thing and you're you can tell yourself like I am so strong. I'm so proud of myself as you're doing it. And it's a really beautiful form of self-love that you can do in a form of energy healing as well. It's a great way to be able to have a somatic release without having to like add in an extra part of your routine where you're like needing to carve out another extra 10 or 20 or 30 minutes when you don't have the extra time. It's like, well, you already are going to work out today. So let's just somatically release with the workout today. this is especially cool if there's like an idea or something that I'm working on. It's like I would love to come up with a new podcast episode or whatever it is that you do for work. If you need to come up with an idea, set that intention, go on the run, or do whatever form of exercise that you're about to do. And then a lot of times that idea will come to you, or some little thread will start to come and you can start to follow that thread as you go out throughout your day. And then all of a sudden you're following something really good and really creative. And it's just a really cool process to see. Okay, wow. That was it. That was so much longer of an episode than I thought it was gonna be. Cause I wrote these 10 things out and I was like, okay, I'll just go through them, say a little thing. But as I was talking, I'm like, there's so much to say. Cause there's so many opportunities to create magic in your life without having to actually change a lot of how your life or your day is structured, which I think can be a big obstacle that people have. It's like, I don't have extra time right now to be adding something into my schedule. But it's like, okay, you already have a hot drink in the morning, or may you maybe you already read something before you go to bed, or you already exercise every day, or whatever it may be. there are little ways to add in magic, and whimsy to the things you are already doing. And then you get to see how I don't know. I just feel like when we take time to do these things, we might think we don't have any extra time. But I feel like time kind of works with us. And if we really Kind of invest just a little bit of extra time in our day-to-day things that we're doing. All of a sudden we we might have or we might somehow find a little bit more time to have a longer time with your hot drink that you have in the morning, or a little bit more time to read an extra chapter in the morning, or do something else that you enjoy. So that is my episode for you today. I hope you got some good points from it.
