Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Thank you, Joe, for having me on the show this morning. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: you're welcome. I'm looking forward to this conversation. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Yeah, you know, it's one of those things we we have an opportunity to really share with the world what I do and and really what you do too. So I I think it's always valuable to to kind of give back and and really allow people to see different possibilities there. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Totally agree. So share with us, what exactly do you do? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: the only thing that I can usually kind of categorize it as as a coach, but I'm not. I'm more of a facilitator. we do more deep transformation by utilizing modalities that actually creates these lasting changes. And what what we do different is most coaches work with what I call the cognitive side of the equation. So I bring broad broke up broke up into two Separate parts. One is the conscious mind and the other one is the subconscious mind. But a conscious mind operates about 5% of our behavior. And the subconscious operates about 95% of our behavior. So what I do, instead of concentrating on what a willpower, making people work harder, I look and work with the subconscious mind where all the behavior lies. And if we can get that on board with your conscious mind, that's when real change starts to happen. quickly, fast in and an exponential level. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: can you tell us a little bit more about what is this legit mindset process that you have? And then what is an LP and what's EMR and are they all the same? Are they different? And how do they operate within the subconscious mind? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Well, basically let's start with the legit mindset first. With the legit mindset, what it is, it's a progressive process where we actually learning, growing and expanding and transforming. And so you think of your life, if you could picture this in your mind, is like you started with learning and through learning you you you expand, you grow you grow, you expand, you transform, but it's not linear because it's not like a destination. It's actually a co continue progression. going upward. And with the learning, basically, we are now auditing the scripts. We're actually getting rid of and identifying the old baggage that's actually holding you back. This is one of the biggest challenges that most people have, that they have these scripts that's running that has been running since childhood, but they have no idea that they're running. So first of all, we do the learning is actually auditing those scripts, moving from the unconscious habit to the conscious observation. Then the growing phase is more like a two-edged sword. This is where it becomes a person has become really courageous to be willing to give up that old belief or who they think they are to actually identify their true identity. is like shedding the old skin, letting everything go and releasing it on a courageous way. Then a person expands by creating this internal volume. I believe that that we have unlimited potential. And what I what I call a the universal capacity principle that I've created that that will manifestations in order for it to actually expand, you got to get rid of. So once we empty our backpacks in the growing phase, now we have to now refill it not only with power, with peace, with with more success, but then you can stretch the boundaries to to greater possibilities, to a measurable more. And then the transformation is actually. Creating these habits. We create one of my clients, the way they most CEOs, the the the term that they use is lightness. My last client I was working with, he had a lot of anxiety when he went into to to situations. And he called me over the weekend, says, Curtis, I had two, two huge events, 70 plus people that I normally would just freak out, sweat, and just he says, but I was cool as a cucumber. So basically that's what we that's what we aim to have is these shifts, not only in a on a physiological way, but mental way. So when you look at legit mindset, legit mindset is just the framework we which we work from. And then we now then we implement the modalities. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: That's where N L P and EMR come in. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: basically you think about going back to the legit mindset. It was learning. So we have to now identify that those those that that baggage. We'll call it baggage for for lack of term. And so we empty the backpack by utilizing E R. That's mental and emotional release technique that I learned from Dr. James. and what that does is a quick way of getting rid of all limiting beliefs and negative emotions. Anger, sadness, guilt, shame, whatever else that comes up for you. I'm not good enough, I'm not worthy, limiting beliefs. And it's a process that we go and literally look at the situation on a level above your timeline so that now you can get a learning from what actually happened. See our higher self knows exactly what happened and how it happened and everything that happens in our life is kind of on a timeline. So basically you're looking at that event, you say sadness. Well I I use myself as an example. I did it on myself about a few months ago because I was still struggling in my business, meaning like I was still like, okay, I'm getting all these transformations for these other individuals. Why in the heck that I'm not really, really just really busting out, right? Like like I should. And I'm doing it for others. Why not me? So I had to stop and look at my own behavior and figure out what it was. And the script that I was running was that success is hard and difficult. Success is hard and difficult. So I had a friend of mine, I call him Coach Kev. Coach Kev, me and him did an MER session, about 10 minutes or so. And we went to review that event. Success is hard and difficult. What my subconscious mind told me where it was is around age two. So when I looked at the event, now I can now reframe it and says, I'm persistent and I'm courageous so I can move forward. So that's the learning I got from it. Well, I was curious, like, okay, what was happening in my age life at age two? So I called my mom, and my mom I said, Mom, what was happening in my life at age two? She says, yeah. So we didn't when you were two, your sister was being born, and I did not Want two babies and diapers at the same time. I don't know if you have a kids or not, but if you have a boy to try to be potty trained at 18 months, it's difficult. And and the words that she used, now this is this is where it really gets kind of mind blowing. The words that she used was, and it was hard and difficult for you to be potty trained. So think about that belief of success is hard and difficult. I've been carrying now for Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Mm-hmm. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Five decades, right? Not knowing that was running. Now I this and this is the evidence that it was running. Every time I would reach a plateau, I would sabotage. A lot of success, sabotage. Because in my mind, it's like if I work hard, it's gonna be hard and it's gonna be difficult. I remember my wife came to me when I was in insurance sales, and we were doing over a million dollars in in in revenues a year. And she came to me and says, my God, sweetie, it's so easy for you to do that. Because I had a system. It looked from her viewpoint, it was easy. And I looked at her, Joe, and I'm like, you don't understand. This is very difficult. This is hard. Not knowing at the time that was the program being run. And so when I look back on my life, on all of my successes and all of my setbacks, I can always pinpoint that. Now, once I let go of that through MER, about a 10 minute session, boom, everything changed. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Ha ha ha. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: You know, the phone was ringing, the people were coming, and I was able to expand quickly. So MER is one of the foundational things that I utilized in order to make change. Now, with neurolinguistic programming, neuro is the the mind, linguistics is the language or how we speak to ourselves, the programming are the scripts that we that we run or the the strategies that we run. During some of these sessions, I'm utilizing different languages to help people move this behavior, loosen up the grips of that old behavior. And we can reframe it by utilizing the neurolinguistic programming. And also there are some quick ways of getting rid of of anxiety or whatever it is we need to get up. There's a lot of strategies within NLP that we utilize. And then we hypnotherapy, you think about MER and you think about neurolinguistic programming, all of them are. Hypnotic, what I call modalities, right? And hypnosis is really a natural state of mind. It's a natural state of trance. So we all go in trance. You go into trance, I go into trance every 90 minutes we go into trance. But and a trance is like this. You you all of a sudden you're sitting in your office and you're just kind of glazing out, and nothing is really coming across your mind. Your wife or your somebody call you and you hear them but you don't hear them, that's trance. Or you've been driving on the freeway and you, kind of blink out for 30 minutes and you look up and you make it to your destination because you've gone through trance. Well, what we do, we do it on purpose, specifically to reclaim the negative subconscious for purpose. So what we're doing, we're helping you empty out the backpack, rewriting the internal scripts. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Yes. Mm-hmm. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: That dictates your reality. So it unlocks this universal capacity. So we use hypnotherapy, trance, to now communicate with your subconscious mind in a very effective way, on purpose, for purpose. So those are the three modalities that are utilized within the framework of legit mindset. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: interesting. But going back to your your example there, within ten minutes you were able to identify that it happened at the age of two? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Yes. Yes. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: In in and how is it a a specific year, I guess, how does that come about for you that you would Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: And that's and that's the beautiful part about it. This is what we have to understand is that a part of all of us, a part of our being, we have a a higher self. Some people call it your soul, some people call it if you're a Christian, some people call it the Holy Spirit, whatever they call it, it's a label. But within us, it's this being that actually we have all of this information within our subconscious or our superconscious minds. So when you ask yourself questions. You're gonna get really great answers. So, the part of the process is that first of all, you have to give permission. Is it okay for you to release this negative emotion of this limited belief of success is hard and difficult? And be aware of it consciously. And a person has to say, yeah, yeah, I'm willing to do. Then I ask the question: what is the root cause of that event, the first event, so that when we recognize it, we can release it easily and effortlessly. If you were to know, Was it before, during, or after birth? And then the first thing that comes to your mind is the date that we go with. Now, the powerful thing is that some people go back to a past life. Some people go back genealogical, meaning that sometimes our baggage that we carry is not from my generation. My dad or my granddad or my my great granddad may have had a negative belief about money that I've been carrying all this time. that now it comes up. That's when my subconscious mind tells me where it is. So what it is is that is it true or not? I don't know. What I do know is that it works. And so it's and so I tell people just relax and follow the process. And so during the process now, that's a minute. That's a minute right there, just asking you that question. Now I tell you them to float above their timeline. I I give them a process on how to do it. So they float above the timeline, back above the event, above the event, looking down on the event. Then ask yourself, your higher self, what is it that you need to learn from this event? The learning that will allow you to let let go of this easy and effortlessly. And then because they are in a a light trance, not a hypnotic trance, hypnosis usually you do with a an induction, like, okay, close your eyes, da-da-da-da, breathe deeply. Now, this is more of like just talking directly to your superconscious and your and your subconscious mind. And it tells you, hey, Joe, it's it was H two. When I ask you that question, and we float above age two. Do I see the event? I don't have, I don't know any idea what happened at age two. And what I do know is the feeling and emotion and the vibrations that happen at age two. So you sometimes don't see an event, an actual event, but you feel the emotions and the vibrations and the pool and the negative emotions or the energy that's around that particular area. That's what you're trying to release. See, a negative emotion releases once you get a learning from what you need to learn. That's the whole idea. Is that the whole that's why that's where legit mindset was actually born was me asking God, that's what I call my maker, my source, my everything. I was asking God for years, Joe, what is this life all about? Because I didn't understand it. I was born in Mississippi. My father was a fire and brimstone preacher for over 50 years. And so I went to church on Sunday, I went to church on Wednesdays and I did all of the things, but I was still questioning what is this life all about? What is it? And what came to me was the fact that I read a book, and it was interesting how I even got to that book. That I I went to a session with a young lady and I would told her, I told her, Yeah, do hypotherapy, yada yada. She says, have you read this book, Many Lives, Many Masters? I says, No, I haven't read that book. She said, You need to read it. I said, Okay, all right, all right. she says, No, you really need to read it. So I went back for my second session. She says, Did you read the book? I says, No, I didn't read it yet. I got it, but I didn't read it. She says, No, you need to read the book. I mean, like, hey, you got to read the book. Like, what the heck? And so Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Mm-hmm. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: And so then it's what's so crazy that I went, we I met with my my friend Coach Kevin in Las Vegas on a trip. And then he mentioned something similar to that. I'm like, okay, okay, time out. Let me go read the book. And over that week weekend, I read the book, and what came from that was that this life is all about learning. If we stop and realize that whatever we're going through, Joe, it's all about the benefit of you learning something. You came to this war, you came to this earth with a purpose. And part of your purpose is to figure out what is it that you need to learn so that you can carry that through life, so that you can go through life with more ease than not. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: I do want to go back to something you had mentioned of the multi-generational messaging. in those cases, does the last generation or any other generations do they have to speak these words to you in order to become part of you? Or is that just something that carries over even before birth? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: You that's it interesting. and I'm gonna tell you what I mean by that. I'm gonna reframe it. My son, my my son, my oldest son, Adam, he transitioned from this life to the next five years ago, or a little bit over five years ago. And we did not know he had a son. When he transitioned, we learned that he had a son. I think he was twelve or thirteen years old. And so now we have this grandson that we never had. Crazy thing. He really never met his father. His father was not there. It was circumstances, whatever it was not there. This is the crazy thing about it. He has some of the same traits as my my son. His laugh, his giggles, the way he moves, but he didn't medium. That means part of his genealogy was carried through him. So what I'm saying is that when we look at that and people come to me and say, you know, I don't I can't figure out why, usually, especially with money, I can't figure out why I can't make the money I wanna make, right? It's because you have a limiting belief that has been carried on for generation after generation after generation. I think Zig Ziglar put it in a story like this. he said that that about this pot, and his mom used to cut off the butt of the ham so that so it the so it fit in the pot in in the in the thing. And for generations, they did that. They asked, Mom, why you cut off, why you cut off the ham? She says, because that's what mom did. And then we went to grandma and says, Well, grandmom the reason I cut it off because my my pot was too short. I had to cut it off. So, so that was the reason why they they continued to do things on a genealogical way. So a negative emotions or limiting belief also can be be carried over because generations like, they taught it to their kids. And sometimes people go to past lives. People are like, well, do I believe in past lives or not? Well, it's not my belief. My job as a facilitator is to to follow the client. Wherever they lead me, I go with them to make the transformation that they need. one lady she went into a past life three generations back because she was carrying sadness. I says, normally I don't need to know what happened. I don't ask what happened. I just says go. And they go and they come back because that's not my job is to kind of analyze what happens. Just so happens, they decided to share with me what happened. She says, my God, this is what I saw. I was I was I was I was a slave girl and the master came, she took he took my child, and I was really sad, you know, and that was the sadness that she was carrying. Once she I mean, literally, once she got rid of it within that 10 minutes, it was gone. I mean, it's like It you it's like the the the when the energy leaves, they have a sense of lightness, they have a sense of clarity, and it's such an energetic move, it's a powerful thing, Joe Abreu - Glovisor: So the release really happens when you're bringing it from the subconscious into the conscious. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: once we get the release, what we do, we go before the event, before the the actual event. And then once you can once you get the learning from it, that's the first question I ask them. What is it you need to learn from this event? And the learning is one of the most powerful things that individual can do, and they can do that on their own. It's like When you're going through something, they need to understand any and feeling is just an emotion that wants to communicate with us and leave. But usually what people do, they try to smash it down, they try to push it down. They f they are feeling, they are feeling sadness. Most people, instead of talking about how they feel, they talk about, they they make it an identity. I am sad. I am angry. I have ADHD. Well, no, you're just feeling a little anxious right now. Don't carry the label. Just ask yourself, what is it I need right now in order for me to let go of this? And so I I do that with my clients all the time. It's like, and it's easy. What you do is just stop and and and allow yourself to have the emotion. That's the biggest thing. Most individuals, especially CEOs and high, you know, type A type individuals, don't want to feel. They don't wanna. Hold on to it, right? They they but now stop and acknowledge it. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: So yeah. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: And I don't have to carry that. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Yeah, totally true. it's so interesting because I get to interview a lot of different people and they always offer, Do you want therapy? Do you want this kind of service? Do you want to try that? I'll do the interview, but that's about it. Thank you very much. so I totally agree with you that that certain types of people probably just, shy away from it. But I wanted to go back to your example where you said that Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Right. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Your client was feeling sadness and went back to history and it's with the loss of a child. And what was the lesson that she learned from that event? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Yes. that regardless of what she's going through, she has to wear without to go through. and the tears coming down her face. Now she's releasing this emotion because she has a learning that now she can carry forward. Now what we do is we take that learning and then coming back on her timeline, we give that learning to every instance she felt sadness. See, because what happens with what what happens with a negative emotion is that it's on what we call a gestalt. A gestalt is like a line of emotions that link what your subconscious mind does, it links similar emotions to together. So, like if you're feeling sadness, it's gonna link every time you have a similar sadness to that, it's gonna link it. So it's gonna link it, it's gonna link it, it's gonna link it. So now you have this whole, if you look like a a string of pearls, right? Every pearl is that negative emotion that. That you experienced in that good stuff. Now you might have sadness in a different gestalt, but in that gustal, all the similar emotions are linked together. So what we're doing is, so for her, she had the past life, we gave it the learning. Then she came to any other time within her life, in this current life, that she had that similar sadness. I give it that same learning. And you can look at their faces as they're coming back on their timeline, which takes about 30 seconds to a minute or two. They're coming back, giving, going back before the event, giving that learning to every event they've experienced in that sadness. Then we test it. I don't just say, yo, you did it. no, no, no, no. I says now, because when we do what I do in a one-day mindset reset, we we uncover all the baggage that's a that that's happening. So I might go and pull some baggage out and say, Hey, you remember you told me about that you were sad when you were a little girl on the playground. And somebody took your candy and you became really sad. How do you feel about that now? They're like, huh? What are you talking about? Sadness? no, no, no. That was okay. I'm fine with that. And that's kind of some of the language that they use. Sometimes people totally like, what are you talking about? I was angry? No. or they were angry with the parent, like, yeah, no. They were doing the best they could with the resources that they had. So I'm okay. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Well, so I would imagine there's a full spectrum of events for different individuals. And if someone contacts you today and starts off the process, are they thinking that they can solve these things in in in a week? Are they thinking that they have to work with you for a year? what should they expect? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: For me, I don't believe in long engagements. No. The my client on one of my current clients we're working with right now, we have worked together, actually work together face to face, like me and you right now, a total of maybe seven hours. The mindset, the one-day mindset reset where we're doing most of the work, the heavy lifting. Normally we do about three to four hours one day and about three to four hours another day. One is getting all the s all the baggage. We lighting up all the baggage and making sure we get everything, what we call we're trying to find what the greater problem is. Then the second day we're doing all the cleanup work with the MER and then I create for them what I call a bespoke daily mental supplement because once you have a void, you have to fill it with something. And I create these. These curated, customized recordings, meditations that they listen to based on all the learnings that they gotten through through the session. So we got, so we just say worst case scenario, eight hours, right? Four and four is eight. Then we might do 10 one-hour sessions as a cleanup. So a total with me is about 18 hours. In the middle of that, yeah, they have to. I require them to listen to the recording. That's a that's that's a must. Because of the fact that think about a muscle. We just did all this heavy lifting. Think about you've gotten in the best shape of your life, Joe. You've gone to the gym, you're all pumped up, you're good looking good, and you said, you know what? I'm done. I'm not gonna lift another weight. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna wash my nutrition, I'm not, I'm just gonna let it go. Well. You know what's gonna happen. You're gonna go back to where you you what what you looked like before. And so we need to start thinking about the mind the same way. We have to think about the mind as we have to continually condition the mind, just like you brush your teeth, just like mental hygiene, we need mean dental hygiene, we need mental hygiene. We need to find something that we can do on a daily basis to make sure that we consider what we call porno. one of the things we do. to help with the forgiveness and things that come up, the doubts and the fears that come up. We do a quick session of what we call a hono pono pono, where they forgive themselves and allow this that energy to kind of release on a daily basis. thank you for giving me this lesson. I love you, and and let it go. And it and it that's a quick session that they can kind of keep their system at the running at the optimal level because of the fact that. We are bombarded with I think it's eleven million bits of sensory data every minute. And we can only capture about 50 50 bits of that. So if we're don't we're not doing something to come back all of this negativity that we experience, we're gonna be more negative than not. So my job is to give them tools. So we have the most for one type of work, and we do it in sections. I don't do life, basically we do either Career, we'll do spiritual, we'll do physical health, we'll do relationships, we do one category. And that one category, usually after about five, I'm gonna say so eight, we'll just say the whole 18 hours, that's totally done. Because we do a lot of other work in between that to really condition it and really sharpen. Because once they get rid of the baggage, my God, their vision opens up. Most of the CEOs, the language that they use, this is so heavy. I'm so tired. I've been working so hard. And usually the people that I work with have been working in grinding for 20 years. They've had success. They have success. They have money, they have cars, they have titles, but something is still missing. It's like, okay, I need to, I'm trying to move to the next level, but I can't. And those kind of guys, that's who we normally do our best work Joe Abreu - Glovisor: it seems that you have a pretty good system here and it can help people unveil what's hidden in the past there. But what if people contact you with a specific issue or maybe a medical situation? are you able to help in those situations? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: absolutely. Well, one of the things, look as I'm I'm certified as a clinical hypnotherapist with a specialty in medical support hypnotherapy. That's not my forefront. That's not what I do. And I think we were we were t sharing it with a young lady. I can't I won't call her name. She might not like it. they were having hot flashes, right? Going through menopause. A lot of women go through it. And I created a bespoke daily mental supplement for her that controlled the, I think it's called the hypothalamus, the the that controls the temperatures and and within her body. And within a week, boom, 90% of the time it cleared it up. She maybe had one hot flash and then very little. I mean, like so we got it in ninety ninety ninety percent was done. An another one when my wife went and they wanted to put her on a statin. We try our best to stay off medication with all possible now. We have to take it, we take it. But it's crazy now what they're saying that I I was we were listening to a commercial the other day and it says medicine is health. How can medicine be health? Medicine is not health. Medicine is has a purpose to get you back to health so that you can get off of it. Well, her doctor tried to prescribe a statin. And we like, don't really want to go on a statin. If I have to, I will, but first, let me try to work on it first. And so I created a a specific supplement for her that mimic statin, a statin, and her points dropped like 40 points in her next visit. And I do have a section in that we can just do straight hypnotherapy, that kind of work. But usually the biggest work is with individuals who looking for a breakthrough. That's kind of what I specialize in, but I can't help either one. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: you would recommend that it doesn't really matter what you're feeling or which illness it is, probably to give this a try before you move on to taking medications, especially those medications that are that you have to take for the rest of your life. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: this is the thing that people don't understand is that most illnesses is ninety percent of how we think. I mean 80 to 90 percent of what we're thinking. So if we change the way we're thinking, we'll heal our bodies. Our bodies are designed to heal itself. That's the that's that's the what we have what they call the perfect blueprint for health within our all of us. So our bodies is designed to heal itself. So if we can feed our bodies with the right messaging, sometimes our subconscious forgets what it's supposed to do, but if we tell it what to do, it says, okay. And it and it corrects itself. Does it work every time? No. But the thing about it is if we can get 60 to 80 percent or 90 percent movement, that's a win. So the whole ideal is, and and I'm fortunate, I I think I told you. I'll be turning 62 And I'm fortunate. I don't take any medications. I work out three days a week. then I do a one day a week of yoga. I wash my nutrition. And so I'm doing the things that I can do to make sure that I stay as healthy as possible because of the fact that I want to show up for my clients healthy, energized, and ready to go. That's one of my values for my my health. And so that's what I so that that's kind of what my objective is. I'm fortunate that I've always had that mindset and I've always worked towards that. yeah, it's possible. And that's the thing about it. That's where about two weeks ago I came out with. The the universal capacity principle, and it's actually taken from a scripture in in Ephesians 3:20, it says he is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to the power that works within us. That immeasurably more, that means that what what it means is that you will always see be measurably more whatever you asking, ardently asking, desiring. Or habitually imagining the way it works is it doesn't matter. You're gonna get more of it. So if you're focusing more on negativity, guess what? And people don't know how to speak, talk to themselves. They says, my God, you know, man, this just makes my heart ache. Ouch! Don't say that. Because your subconscious mind doesn't take jokes. Such as, you want your heart to ache. So that's what I give you. says you know and so we tell it what not to do and it gives you more of it. This is I don't understand. I keep finding these horrible men and I keep attracting these horrible men. I don't know why these men that I keep attracting are horrible. They're no good and guess what they keep getting? Joe Abreu - Glovisor: So yeah. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: And so the whole ideal of this, the universal capacity principle, is ardently desiring what you truly want and habitually imagining that which is possible. And what the universe can do for you is going to give you immeasurably more. And that's my job as a coach, is to help you get to that point where you can get whatever your immeasurably more is, I want to help you get there. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: one of the things that I find interesting is what you said about the way you speak to yourself. I find it amazing how people communicate and speak so kindly to strangers very often, but they don't speak that kindly to themselves or their loved ones. And and they should. I mean, you're you're investing in yourself and you're spending your time with your life and it's not it it's not a facade that you're trying to put up, but to care for yourself long term. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Yes. Absolutely. and and that's what people don't understand is that these offhanded remarks that you share with your kids are not funny. It's not. And like a a case in point, we had a we had a friend that that formulated an eating disorder because when they were younger, they their parents and their siblings, you said, poochie, poochie, poochie, poochie, poochie. And then by the time they got to high school, they were bulimic. Because a joke. It doesn't don't joke negatively to your kids or the loved ones or who you love. It's not a joke. It becomes a, it becomes an affirmation. It becomes a a it becomes an asking. It becomes a habitual imagination of that. So be careful about how you talk to yourself. I'm always late. And that's so and l N L P is bad question always? So, you know, then so basically the language that we use is so powerful that really controls a lot of our behavior. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: have to work on those reframes. Catch yourself and reframe it. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: No, absolutely. I mean we're always and and what we do, what we do, Joe, is this is that me and my wife we're watching live television. We try not to. We we pay extra money to get the without to get the commercial. Like we can watch it later. but when we all watching live television, soon as this show goes off, normally they're gonna start the f some pharmaceuticals. What we do, we mute our television. well, Curtis, is that important? Yeah. Because I don't need that messaging. I'm filtering the messaging. I'm deciding what comes into my mind Look at them. What they're doing now, they play upbeat music. They have these skits. They have all these things. And that's what they guess what they're telling is what they're doing to us is saying medicine is normal. It's not. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Ha ha ha. Filtering it, sure. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Everybody takes medicine. Everybody doesn't take medicine. I mean, yes, you if you need to take it for a specific purpose, take it. But your whole ideal is to get your body back to a normalcy so it can take back over and continue to work for you. So it's so important that we protect our minds, we guard our minds with everything in our power, whatever it takes. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: This is a great point you're making. If you don't filter these things, again, going back to it, if you don't protect yourself to take care of yourself, then what's the point? so Curtis, what is one message that you want to leave with a listener who may need your services today and doesn't even realize? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: Yeah. Well, usually a person who needs my services realizing. They do. They've come to a point in our life. They've been grinding now for 10, 15, 20 years. They've tried traditional coaching. They've tried mastermind groups. They even maybe have tried tried talk therapy. And at the end of the day, they still feel the same. They get some movement. I've gone to the Tony Robbins seminars and you get all pumped up and you get all razzed up and all of a sudden, yeah, you like, wow, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Then you come back home the first week, you're just more motivated of what you were with before you went. And so they know that. And so they now these people are desiring a change that they've s been searching for. Those are the people who come to work with me. Because Other people who whimsically like, yeah, I want some change. No, I tell people, look, keep doing what you're doing. Don't mess up my track record. Because you're not ready. When you're ready, when you get to a seven or eight or nine in a scale where I really want to change. So I'm talking to the individuals right now who really want to change, who say, you know what? I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I want to do something different. That's who I'm looking for. I don't look for everybody say, yeah, no. Because Before you come to work with me, you have to prove to me that you're ready to change. If not, we don't work together. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: when they contact you, you go through a quiz, you ask some questions just to see where they are. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: people start with the values elicitation because our values, our core values is our deepest level programming. It's an intra-level program. They just want to encourage someone to test the waters to see is this something I want to do. Start with the values program. It's a powerful way. People have gotten some. really big movements out on a values session. One young lady dip the values and as soon as she gr understood what her core values were and what they truly meant, the telephone started to ring. She she texts me and says, Curtis, this this this gig I've been trying to get for the last five years is opening up because of that value session. Those are very powerful sessions. They can start there. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: where can listeners continue this conversation with you? Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: They can go to my website, either Curtis McCullum.com or Bespoke Hemobotential Coaching. Both of them will lead them there. And then they there's a couple of ways you see you can connect with me or do a 15-minute clarity call is free. Just let's talk. I mean, that it won't hurt us to talk and see where you are now and see are you at that seven or eight or nine, you know, ready to do that change. And then if they just want to just kind of follow me, they can follow me. on on YouTube, they can follow me. Same thing. Curtis McCullum, I'm on LinkedIn, I'm on all the major platforms. And we what we did last year, a beginning of this year, we changed the the podcast from the Curtis McCullum show to the legit mindset podcast so they can see my podcast. So yes, either one, they can kind of get to know me a little bit. I tell people to go to my site, get to know me, get familiar to what I do so that now when you come to me, you already ready. You know what I do. You know how I do it. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: Sure. Well, Curtis, thank you so much for the eye-opening conversation. This has been fantastic. and thank you for being a guest. Curtis McCullom, CCHt, FIBH: man, my pl no thank you. I mean, to allow me to just go on like I did today, you know, usually Joe, I I really appreciate just allowing me to really explain a lot of things a lot of people never have an opportunity to. And through platform is a beautiful way to do it, and I appreciate that. Joe Abreu - Glovisor: You're welcome. Thanks everyone for listening.
