- 0:29I Hate Talking: Welcome to episode 88 of I Hate Talking.
- 0:32I Hate Talking: Hi everyone.
- 0:33I Hate Talking: So like we mentioned last episode, we are, I guess, going to talk about the color of the year 2026.
- 0:43I Hate Talking: OK.
- 0:44I Hate Talking: So since that time, have you listened to our previous episode on the Pantone Color of the Year 2025?
- 0:50I Hate Talking: No, no, I haven't.
- 0:56I Hate Talking: No, I haven't either.
- 0:57I Hate Talking: I haven't even looked up where it is.
- 0:59I Hate Talking: So hopefully our listeners, if they have not listened to that episode previously, they have found that in the archives, and then they can tell us what the color of the year 2025 was or anything pertinent that they enjoyed about that particular episode.
- 1:16I Hate Talking: Yeah, please tell us because we don't know where to find it or what to do.
- 1:21I Hate Talking: And I am curious what word we did for that episode.
- 1:26I Hate Talking: Maybe it was the color because.
- 1:29I Hate Talking: This particular color for 2026, it's not really like a distinct color per se.
- 1:35I Hate Talking: And I, I would say it's not even really a color at all, unless you like knew that it was a color.
- 1:42I Hate Talking: Yeah, it doesn't sound like an appropriate color or true color.
- 1:46I Hate Talking: Right.
- 1:48I Hate Talking: And that is what a lot of people say about this.
- 1:50I Hate Talking: Particular color that was chosen for 2026.
- 1:54I Hate Talking: Is that why they chose it?
- 1:56I Hate Talking: Because it's controversial?
- 1:57I Hate Talking: They maintain that they did not choose it for any controversial reasons.
- 2:02I Hate Talking: OK.
- 2:04I Hate Talking: Do you believe that?
- 2:06I Hate Talking: I do believe that.
- 2:07I Hate Talking: That they did not choose it for any controversial reasons per se.
- 2:12I Hate Talking: Maybe there was somebody way down at the lower levels that was like, it would be funny if this was the color of the year, and they submitted it and then it became the color of the year, almost as like a joke and like just the corporate approval process, it somehow made it through the entire way from this underlings.
- 2:31I Hate Talking: Sort of joke submission.
- 2:33I Hate Talking: But I don't think there was anything nefarious about it in general.
- 2:37I Hate Talking: It just reminds me of like, the other topic of who names streets.
- 2:43I Hate Talking: Like, I wonder who names a color, but also who names city streets, because sometimes they're so random or they're so similar.
- 2:52I Hate Talking: It's like First Avenue and First Street.
- 2:55I Hate Talking: And it's complicated and frustrating.
- 2:58I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 3:00I Hate Talking: Probably the city planner, or if there was no city planner, then it just was named by people that had that section of city planning, quote unquote.
- 3:09I Hate Talking: And that's maybe why you see a lot of particular conflicts or similarities that are confusing.
- 3:16I Hate Talking: But I guess for our word or phrase of the episode, because I don't think this is what we did last time, is we will have the word Pantone as our word or phrase of the episode.
- 3:30I Hate Talking: And that is because Pantone Company.
- 3:35I Hate Talking: is the one that chooses the color of the year.
- 3:39I Hate Talking: OK, I was gonna say that's not the color of the year.
- 3:41I Hate Talking: That's the company that does choose it, right?
- 3:43I Hate Talking: But it also is somewhat of a word, I guess this is either because Pantone makes colors or because Pantone is all about colors that they adopted that name.
- 3:58I Hate Talking: I guess we'll have to see perhaps.
- 3:59I Hate Talking: Which one came first, but the just general noun in relation to Pantone and not the company itself is a standardized color matching system.
- 4:14I Hate Talking: So it basically is a universal language for color, assigning unique codes to specific hues for precise communications in industries like printing, fashion, and product design.
- 4:27I Hate Talking: So would this entail both like the numbers where it's like a, the red is, I don't know, I'm gonna make it up.
- 4:35I Hate Talking: XC 72, sure that's not it.
- 4:40I Hate Talking: I know people know it, but you're talking about like hexadecimal color codes and things like that or RGB color codes.
- 4:48I Hate Talking: That's what you're going with that.
- 4:50I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 4:51I Hate Talking: You know what I'm talking about, right?
- 4:52I Hate Talking: Y'all know.
- 4:53I Hate Talking: So is that a Pantone?
- 4:56I Hate Talking: So those are hues and shades of colors.
- 5:01I Hate Talking: The thing that sets Pantone separate from that is because they actually go a step further, and when this particular color is used in print or in other production materials, there's actually a matching system to ensure that the ink and the formulas used to produce that color.
- 5:24I Hate Talking: are a match.
- 5:26I Hate Talking: So whereas you would get a color at the same time on a computer screen for a particular color.
- 5:33I Hate Talking: Using a hexadecimal code or a RGB color code, when you print that on the formulas of the ink that it could be based on er and chemical composition of the ink and things like that.
- 5:53I Hate Talking: That the Pantone matching system will actually have a matching color for the actual physical color that is produced for production materials and things of that nature.
- 6:04I Hate Talking: So Pantone is more accurate and consistent.
- 6:09I Hate Talking: Yeah, it's basically a system to ensure accuracy and consistency because it is having that single reference point for a color.
- 6:17I Hate Talking: Would your color season be Pantone?
- 6:23I Hate Talking: Your color, what your color season.
- 6:27I Hate Talking: I'm like getting into it.
- 6:29I Hate Talking: I wanna season, yeah, like fall, winter, spring, summer.
- 6:33I Hate Talking: You've never heard of a color season?
- 6:35I Hate Talking: No.
- 6:36I Hate Talking: OK, well, we've already talked about how much you hate that I wear yellow, and I don't wear it that much anymore, but what colors do you think I wear the most?
- 6:46I Hate Talking: Blues and greens Do you know why?
- 6:51I Hate Talking: And I also wear pinks, I think too, but yes, blues, greens, pinks.
- 6:55I Hate Talking: Because you like those colors and probably it's easier to match things within your wardrobe to those particular colors.
- 7:01I Hate Talking: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and because I'm a soft summer.
- 7:07I Hate Talking: That's my color season.
- 7:09I Hate Talking: I see.
- 7:10I Hate Talking: And so like when I wear that mustard yellow shirt you hate, that is not in my color season, and that's probably why you hate it.
- 7:18I Hate Talking: That could be.
- 7:19I Hate Talking: So this is a particular system, quote unquote to match colors of wardrobe to your own wet body type -- like that your skin tones the -- word I was looking for, yes.
- 7:35I Hate Talking: Yeah, if you're a warm skin tone or light, you know, cool, and that sort of thing.
- 7:41I Hate Talking: I see.
- 7:41I Hate Talking: -- So cool -- summer.
- 7:45I Hate Talking: No soft, soft summer, soft summer.
- 7:48I Hate Talking: So soft pinks and greens and blues.
- 7:51I Hate Talking: Is there like a hard summer?
- 7:53I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 7:55I Hate Talking: There's winter, spring, summer and fall, and then there's subcategories within each one of those.
- 8:01I Hate Talking: Like spring is gonna be like the bright colors like yellows and pinks.
- 8:06I Hate Talking: And then the winter is like black.
- 8:08I Hate Talking: The darker and then like fall is like browns and jewel tones.
- 8:15I Hate Talking: I see.
- 8:17I Hate Talking: So Johnny Cash would be a winter.
- 8:19I Hate Talking: I don't know if he is.
- 8:21I Hate Talking: That's how he dresses, but the whole concept is so interesting, you know, look it up one day.
- 8:26I Hate Talking: The whole concept, like people look so much better, so much worse based on their color seasons.
- 8:33I Hate Talking: I see.
- 8:34I Hate Talking: And this has nothing to do with their like birth month or anything like that.
- 8:38I Hate Talking: I don't think so.
- 8:38I Hate Talking: No, -- it's just -- the system doesn't try to jump to that particular.
- 8:42I Hate Talking: No, there are professionals that do this.
- 8:45I Hate Talking: That like tell you your color season.
- 8:48I Hate Talking: And I've looked it up, it's a lot of money and not in my budget right now.
- 8:52I Hate Talking: One day I want to.
- 8:54I Hate Talking: I've only done AI version, and it seems OK, but you can see some people like, they'll have like dark circles in their eyes or look tired or sickly, and then all they do is change the shirt color.
- 9:06I Hate Talking: And they look so vibrant and healthy.
- 9:09I Hate Talking: I suppose so.
- 9:11I Hate Talking: It almost sounds like a made-up job.
- 9:13I Hate Talking: It's not though.
- 9:14I Hate Talking: I'll, I'll show you later.
- 9:15I Hate Talking: It's really cool.
- 9:16I Hate Talking: All right.
- 9:18I Hate Talking: And then to answer, no, that is not Pantone.
- 9:24I Hate Talking: This is again, more specifically for use in color matching to ensure consistency and accuracy for colors within print and other production materials, right?
- 9:36I Hate Talking: But the reason I'm thinking about it, like the other day we had an event and I needed to get something for it.
- 9:40I Hate Talking: So I saw these shirts I liked and then I pulled up my soft summer color swatch.
- 9:49I Hate Talking: And I compared those colors to the colors on Amazon that were available to see which one was in my color palette.
- 9:56I Hate Talking: So that's Pantone, right?
- 9:59I Hate Talking: No, you're talking more general colors with just palettes and related colors.
- 10:04I Hate Talking: Everything within a family or category of -- greens or teals or blues can't be the -- whole thing because there's so such a variety.
- 10:13I Hate Talking: It's only a couple of colors within that category.
- 10:16I Hate Talking: Interesting.
- 10:18I Hate Talking: Well, maybe it is then.
- 10:20I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 10:20I Hate Talking: But the Pantone colors are often called spots that are premixed with inks.
- 10:28I Hate Talking: So it is for these specific colors.
- 10:29I Hate Talking: So they actually have these inks that are premixed rather than inks being combined at the time of production.
- 10:46I Hate Talking: OK, so they're like unique in and of themselves.
- 10:50I Hate Talking: You cannot make them.
- 10:51I Hate Talking: Well, they, they make them, yes, but only they can, we can't.
- 10:56I Hate Talking: Copy it.
- 10:57I Hate Talking: I mean, I guess you could try, but then it's not Pantone approved.
- 11:01I Hate Talking: OK.
- 11:02I Hate Talking: And then to answer the question on which came first, Pantone, the word as it relates to a standardized color matching system versus the company Pantone.
- 11:14I Hate Talking: Pantone Company came first.
- 11:16I Hate Talking: They, I guess, developed.
- 11:17I Hate Talking: This particular process in the 1960s by the Pantone company and that became known as the Pantone matching system.
- 11:26I Hate Talking: OK.
- 11:27I Hate Talking: So I guess we need to get to the color of the year because our listeners have been waiting all this time and we've teased it from last week until all the way through this episode.
- 11:41I Hate Talking: So we need to get to the color of the year 2026.
- 11:45I Hate Talking: OK, let's let's tell us what it is.
- 11:48I Hate Talking: So again, I wouldn't know that this was a color if I just heard this phrase.
- 11:53I Hate Talking: I would not think of color at all.
- 11:56I Hate Talking: I would think of something else.
- 11:58I Hate Talking: So you, our listeners can tell us what you think when you hear this phrase, cloud dancer.
- 12:05I Hate Talking: OK, sounds so ridiculous.
- 12:09I Hate Talking: Pantone 114201.
- 12:13I Hate Talking: Oh wow.
- 12:14I Hate Talking: So it's not even like the XC whatever.
- 12:16I Hate Talking: No, these are Pantone matching systems.
- 12:18I Hate Talking: They have, they have their own color.
- 12:20I Hate Talking: Yes, -- I paid -- attention.
- 12:21I Hate Talking: I know.
- 12:22I Hate Talking: I was just surprised.
- 12:23I Hate Talking: See, I would, if I heard the word Pantone 114201, I would probably know that that's a color.
- 12:28I Hate Talking: If I heard the phrase cloud dancer, I would not think of a color.
- 12:33I Hate Talking: I would think of like a Song by.
- 12:36I Hate Talking: What's the band that does the.
- 12:40I Hate Talking: U2.
- 12:42I Hate Talking: I think it was like a U2 song or something.
- 12:44I Hate Talking: OK.
- 12:45I Hate Talking: I mean, -- this is like -- U2's newest hit, Cloud Dancer.
- 12:49I Hate Talking: Well, that's not where my brain went, but I did think of music, and maybe it's because of the word dancing, like dancer.
- 12:56I Hate Talking: It does sound like a song.
- 12:58I Hate Talking: That people would know.
- 13:01I Hate Talking: No, cloud dancer.
- 13:02I Hate Talking: I would not associate with a color, but when I think about it, I would think, OK, I just, I'd looked it up, so I know what color it is.
- 13:14I Hate Talking: So let me try to clear my brain.
- 13:16I Hate Talking: What did I remember what I used to think it would look like?
- 13:19I Hate Talking: Cloud dancer.
- 13:21I Hate Talking: I feel like it would be sparkly and like very airy, light, like see-through almost.
- 13:29I Hate Talking: It's what I would picture.
- 13:30I Hate Talking: Yeah, I mean, that's how Pantone describes it.
- 13:34I Hate Talking: So I mean, from their very own website, they say, quote, Cloud dancer, a lofty white that serves as a symbol of calming influence in a society rediscovering the value of quiet reflection, a billowy white imbued with serenity.
- 13:52I Hate Talking: Cloud dancer encourages true relaxation and focus, allowing the mind to wander and creativity to breathe, making room for innovation.
- 14:02I Hate Talking: Holy moly, that's a lot of words for a color, and I don't agree with them.
- 14:07I Hate Talking: Because the color is so stark white, that it's like, or not stark white, what, what do you call that?
- 14:15I Hate Talking: I'd almost call it like a dingy white, -- like a dirty -- white, dirty, yeah, it's not, it's definitely not a stark white, it's almost sort of grayish, sort of looks like.
- 14:25I Hate Talking: It has a layer of dirt on it and it needs to be cleaned.
- 14:29I Hate Talking: Right?
- 14:29I Hate Talking: Maybe that's what I'm feeling because I feel a little stressed when I see that color.
- 14:33I Hate Talking: I don't feel relaxed at all.
- 14:36I Hate Talking: I just feel like my shoulders tensing up towards my ears when I see that color.
- 14:42I Hate Talking: It doesn't remind me of a cloud, like a cumulus cloud.
- 14:46I Hate Talking: It sort of almost looks more like a thunder cloud if you're gonna do cloud dancer.
- 14:52I Hate Talking: -- It just looks dingy to me is what I -- would say like someone spilled something on a white counter and then you tried to wipe it off, but you didn't do a good job, right?
- 15:00I Hate Talking: Or it's like a white wall that's been left to time and it has like 2 years' worth of dust on it.
- 15:08I Hate Talking: So we agree that we do not like cloud dancer.
- 15:11I Hate Talking: We will not paint our bedroom that color.
- 15:13I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 15:14I Hate Talking: Yeah, I don't like it, and it's not giving me serenity.
- 15:19I Hate Talking: Yeah, it's not even like a gray.
- 15:22I Hate Talking: It's, it is a white.
- 15:23I Hate Talking: But like a gray is a gray, and I'm OK with gray, I like the gray.
- 15:29I Hate Talking: I'm wearing a gray sweatshirt right now.
- 15:31I Hate Talking: And it's a gray though.
- 15:33I Hate Talking: It's not like an off-white dingy white quote unquote gray as is cloud dancer.
- 15:40I Hate Talking: Right, cause it's got more tinges of like yellow-ish, brownish than gray, you know, -- like -- it's, no, I, maybe, I don't see any color.
- 15:51I Hate Talking: You don't see any color?
- 15:54I Hate Talking: Like in terms of the RGB colors, no, I just see.
- 15:59I Hate Talking: Whites and grays, I don't see anything particularly that.
- 16:03I Hate Talking: I brownish Now there's also some interesting quotes from Pantone leadership that says, At this time of transformation when we are reimagining our future and our place in the world, Cloud Dancer is a discreet white hue offering a promise of clarity.
- 16:25I Hate Talking: The cacophony that surrounds us has become overwhelming, making it harder to hear the voices of our inner selves.
- 16:32I Hate Talking: A conscious statement of simplification, cloud dancer enhances our focus, providing release from the distraction of external influences.
- 16:41I Hate Talking: So is this a color they already had and they were like, we're going to choose this one, or is it brand new created?
- 16:47I Hate Talking: I mean, they already had it.
- 16:49I Hate Talking: It's in their catalog, so.
- 16:51I Hate Talking: Again, I don't know what their selection process is, but at some point they thought this was the right one.
- 16:57I Hate Talking: They have another quote that says, similar to a blank canvas, cloud dancer signifies our desire for a fresh start.
- 17:04I Hate Talking: Peeling away layers of outmoded thinking, we open the door to new approaches.
- 17:09I Hate Talking: An airy white hue, Cloud Dancer opens up space for creativity, allowing our imagination to drift so that new insights and bold ideas can emerge and take shape.
- 17:20I Hate Talking: I mean, these are all very nice things to say, but I do not get that feeling when I look at Cloud dancer.
- 17:29I Hate Talking: Nor do you apparently, right?
- 17:31I Hate Talking: No, I strongly disagree with it.
- 17:34I Hate Talking: And then that doesn't even cover like the blowback that they've received from.
- 17:38I Hate Talking: Social media and things like that on this.
- 17:41I Hate Talking: Yeah, apparently there's some people that think this is like whitewashing.
- 17:47I Hate Talking: Society and that this is like white privilege and lots of things that The color white?
- 17:57I Hate Talking: Yes, the color white.
- 17:59I Hate Talking: Because they said it causes serenity because white.
- 18:02I Hate Talking: Is saying white is serenity is racist.
- 18:06I Hate Talking: Because it's weight, yeah.
- 18:08I Hate Talking: Not serenity itself, but the color is white, so, yeah.
- 18:13I Hate Talking: Yeah, there's lots of comments on Reddit that says the color of supremacy.
- 18:19I Hate Talking: That this is bleak.
- 18:23I Hate Talking: Here's one quote that says, it's the exact color of water on my kitchen floor when my dishwasher was leaking.
- 18:29I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 18:31I Hate Talking: So, yes, there's a lot of people that think that this is sort of just, again, like you said, sort of a trolling color that.
- 18:38I Hate Talking: They weren't really actually serious about this color, but.
- 18:43I Hate Talking: Who knows?
- 18:45I Hate Talking: What was their colors in years past?
- 18:48I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 18:50I Hate Talking: We haven't listened to that episode.
- 18:51I Hate Talking: OK, what part of this can't you just Google like 2023 Pantown?
- 18:59I Hate Talking: Well, it would have been 2025.
- 19:01I Hate Talking: Yes, I think we can, yeah, but why can't we go back even farther?
- 19:04I Hate Talking: Well, I suppose we could with the power of the internet.
- 19:07I Hate Talking: You don't need to look up 2025.
- 19:09I Hate Talking: We theoretically already know that answer.
- 19:11I Hate Talking: Theoretically, but we actually don't.
- 19:14I Hate Talking: But that's how I live most of my life.
- 19:17I Hate Talking: Did we do a different color of the Year?
- 19:20I Hate Talking: I don't remember this.
- 19:22I Hate Talking: Pantone Color of the Year 2025, Mocha mousse.
- 19:25I Hate Talking: It's brown.
- 19:27I Hate Talking: I don't remember that.
- 19:27I Hate Talking: Maybe we did a different color of the year.
- 19:29I Hate Talking: Maybe there's just too many people doing too many color of the years, too many people doing too many words of the year.
- 19:35I Hate Talking: We just need to, -- are you sure -- we even did a color of the year?
- 19:38I Hate Talking: Because I have zero recollection of this, and now I'm getting more confident in my.
- 19:46I Hate Talking: Well, maybe I just watched a reel about it and thought it was real life.
- 19:49I Hate Talking: Y'all, OK, well, I was looking this up, I told, we went to a comedy show last night.
- 19:57I Hate Talking: Oh man, we laughed.
- 19:59I Hate Talking: It was so funny.
- 20:00I Hate Talking: It was so good, and we had a great time.
- 20:04I Hate Talking: And then came home, you know, the kids had a babysitter, the babysitter was awesome.
- 20:09I Hate Talking: She even cleaned our house.
- 20:11I Hate Talking: We've never had a sitter, like, clean our house like.
- 20:15I Hate Talking: Oh man, it looked amazing.
- 20:17I Hate Talking: We haven't had it that clean in years.
- 20:20I Hate Talking: She did a good job.
- 20:21I Hate Talking: So the kids had been asleep and she wanted to use her time wisely.
- 20:26I Hate Talking: So, that was amazing.
- 20:28I Hate Talking: We're so thankful for her.
- 20:29I Hate Talking: Then tonight, I was talking with Adam and I was like, hey, I saw this real.
- 20:34I Hate Talking: And I gave the synopsis for the what I thought was a real, and I did preface I saw it last night, I was like I saw this last night.
- 20:44I Hate Talking: And you looked at me and you were really bothered and I was confused at why, like, I just didn't think you thought it was funny.
- 20:50I Hate Talking: And then you're like, that was in the comedy show last night.
- 20:55I Hate Talking: And I have zero remembrance of that, like, in my head, it was a real, which is concerning.
- 21:03I Hate Talking: That I'm living through reels now, not real life, but.
- 21:09I Hate Talking: Anyways, Well, I'm trying to find our color of the year.
- 21:13I Hate Talking: I thought we did this.
- 21:15I Hate Talking: Maybe we didn't.
- 21:15I Hate Talking: Maybe it was our synesthesia episode, and that's where we talked about, we did that episode and we talked a lot about colors.
- 21:21I Hate Talking: I'm certain that we did some sort of color of the year episode.
- 21:25I Hate Talking: I'll keep looking.
- 21:27I Hate Talking: I have zero memory, but also I have zero memory of a lot of stuff.
- 21:31I Hate Talking: Even things I listened to yesterday, whether it was real life or.
- 21:37I Hate Talking: On Instagram.
- 21:40I Hate Talking: Well, maybe we did not do it, cause I can't find it.
- 21:43I Hate Talking: I'm sure we talked about colors and maybe it was the synesthesia episode that I'm thinking of, but.
- 21:49I Hate Talking: OK, so anyways, 2 years ago it was MCA.
- 21:54I Hate Talking: Yeah, I'm at a loss because.
- 21:59I Hate Talking: I thought we had like a color of the year and it was like a blue or a teal.
- 22:03I Hate Talking: But I guess that is just a false memory.
- 22:07I Hate Talking: That's what you thought going in 2025.
- 22:11I Hate Talking: That was your blue teal year.
- 22:13I Hate Talking: Yeah, I thought that was a thing, but apparently I'm 100% mistaken.
- 22:18I Hate Talking: OK, well, what is going into 2026?
- 22:21I Hate Talking: What is that color for you?
- 22:23I Hate Talking: Let's forget what Pantone says.
- 22:25I Hate Talking: What is, but I thought that, well, I don't know because I'll just have to apparently wait until next year and forget that we ever talked about Cloud dancer and come up with my own color because I thought there was a blue or teal.
- 22:37I Hate Talking: Is there a blue or teal that was some other company's color of the year?
- 22:42I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 22:44I Hate Talking: I can't believe we didn't do this.
- 22:46I Hate Talking: OK, well, why are you looking that up?
- 22:48I Hate Talking: I asked AI what your color analysis is.
- 22:53I Hate Talking: What do you guess is your season?
- 22:56I Hate Talking: I would say winter or spring.
- 23:01I Hate Talking: Yes, -- winter or -- spring.
- 23:04I Hate Talking: According to this, I think it's cause he's using my phone cause that's shady, but according to them, you're also a soft summer.
- 23:13I Hate Talking: So, well, now the question becomes, is anyone not a soft summer?
- 23:18I Hate Talking: Does it just give soft summer to everybody?
- 23:20I Hate Talking: I on my phone at least, but look, OK, here is soft summer versus like spring.
- 23:26I Hate Talking: What color does look side by side better?
- 23:30I Hate Talking: I don't know, I would say 3/5 of soft summer and 2/5 of.
- 23:36I Hate Talking: Right, because look.
- 23:38I Hate Talking: These bright reds and yellows, see how your face, it looks more blotchy, not in a bad, like, I mean, yes, in a bad way, but I'm just saying like, but then when you use these soft summer, look how good your complexion looks.
- 23:57I Hate Talking: Isn't that crazy?
- 23:59I Hate Talking: I guess, -- but maybe everybody looks better with -- soft summer.
- 24:02I Hate Talking: No, I don't think so, cause you can look up other people.
- 24:06I Hate Talking: Some people look really good in spring or in autumn.
- 24:09I Hate Talking: It's just weird, or maybe not weird, I don't know.
- 24:12I Hate Talking: Do couples have the same color palette?
- 24:16I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 24:18I Hate Talking: We're getting off into all kinds of theories here on non-existent reels, non-existent colors of the year.
- 24:25I Hate Talking: Yeah, -- it -- is a little bit over the place.
- 24:27I Hate Talking: It is, yes.
- 24:28I Hate Talking: It's because we're taking too much time like looking something up.
- 24:31I Hate Talking: My brain jumps to the next thing.
- 24:34I Hate Talking: And guys, this is what it's like to live in my brain, a million thoughts at one time.
- 24:38I Hate Talking: But maybe couples have a similar color palette, just like how when you live with your dog for a long time, you guys start looking alike.
- 24:47I Hate Talking: Maybe it's the color palette.
- 24:50I Hate Talking: It's the same theory.
- 24:52I Hate Talking: Perhaps so.
- 24:53I Hate Talking: So, I think.
- 24:56I Hate Talking: We'll have to do some more research or you, our listeners can let us know if you search for the Color of the Year episode and found it to be non-existent or maybe you did find it and you can put all my fears to ease that I am going crazy.
- 25:10I Hate Talking: And you can also let us know what you think of the particular color of the year this year, 2026, according to Pantone, named Cloud Dancer, and what your thoughts are on this particular color.
- 25:25I Hate Talking: Yeah, let us know if anyone actually likes this color.
- 25:28I Hate Talking: I mean, I have not encountered anybody that has actually liked it in any of the research that I've done on social media and things of that nature.
- 25:36I Hate Talking: Everybody seems to hate it.
- 25:37I Hate Talking: Can I tell people?
- 25:38I Hate Talking: When they come over.
- 25:40I Hate Talking: And if I haven't cleaned thoroughly, like if the kids spilled something and it's kind of getting gunky.
- 25:47I Hate Talking: I can just be like, oh, over there, that's our new color palette, color of 2026, cloud dancer, cloud dancer.
- 25:55I Hate Talking: So I'll just start telling people that when I don't fully clean our cab like cabinets, so they're a little dingy that week, I'll just say.
- 26:03I Hate Talking: That's our new.
- 26:06I Hate Talking: The modern popular 2026 color cloud dancer indeed.
- 26:11I Hate Talking: If you say it with confidence, maybe people will believe that it's intentional.
- 26:16I Hate Talking: I mean, the people at Pantone said it was pretty much confidence, and I don't think the internet believed them.
- 26:22I Hate Talking: Guess not.
- 26:24I Hate Talking: All right, very good.
- 26:26I Hate Talking: So if you did like this episode, do like, share, subscribe, and let us know what you think about Cloud Dancer or any of our other previous episodes or just the fact that we can't even remember our own previous episodes.
- 26:37I Hate Talking: So from your friends at I Hate Talking, until next time, remember, it is only through talking that we begin the journey to understanding.
