- 0:00Speaker 1: The Chinese CDC was saying this in January twenty twenty.
- 0:04Speaker 1: He knew it, he told Dear Diary, but to the public.
- 0:07Speaker 1: He commissioned this paper called Proximal Origins, and in it
- 0:10Speaker 1: they go on and on saying it's timplausible that it
- 0:13Speaker 1: came from the lab and we're really convinced it came
- 0:15Speaker 1: from these wild animals in the marketplace. But that level
- 0:18Speaker 1: of dishonesty is really astounding.
- 0:21Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Good Tuesday morning.
- 0:26Speaker 4: It's nice to have you with us on the forty
- 0:28Speaker 4: seven Morning Update, and we've got two big stories this morning.
- 0:31Speaker 4: First up, the House Judiciary Committee has issued a criminal
- 0:35Speaker 4: referral against Jack Smith over what they're describing as alleged perjury,
- 0:40Speaker 4: and I'll break that down for you. But then other
- 0:43Speaker 4: breaking news, we now have learned that Jack Smith obtained
- 0:47Speaker 4: text messages from at least forty four members of Congress,
- 0:54Speaker 4: spying on those members. It is a shocking story and
- 0:58Speaker 4: we have the details. Also in another shocking breaking news story,
- 1:03Speaker 4: Anthony Fauci apparently was absolutely obsessed with his new found
- 1:08Speaker 4: fame during the COVID pandemic when he was supposed to
- 1:12Speaker 4: be fighting to protect all of us. And his diary, well,
- 1:17Speaker 4: it's now been put out there for the public to read,
- 1:20Speaker 4: and what I have for you is going to blow
- 1:22Speaker 4: your mind. It's the forty seven Morning Update, and it
- 1:25Speaker 4: starts right now.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Well, let's start with a story that almost no one
- 1:31Speaker 4: thought they would ever hear. The man who spent years
- 1:33Speaker 4: trying to prosecute Donald Trump is now the subject of
- 1:37Speaker 4: a criminal referral himself.
- 1:40Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:41Speaker 4: The House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has formally referred
- 1:45Speaker 4: former Special Counsel Jack Smith to the Department of Justice
- 1:49Speaker 4: for possible prosecution, alleging that Smith made false statements to
- 1:54Speaker 4: Congress under oath during his testimony before the House Judiciary Committeecifically,
- 2:00Speaker 4: the referral were being told centers on whether Smith in
- 2:03Speaker 4: fact misled lawmakers when discussing what investigative records his office
- 2:08Speaker 4: obtained during that Trump witch hunt investigation. And that's where
- 2:13Speaker 4: the second bombshell comes into the story. We now are
- 2:17Speaker 4: being told because of recently released documents from Senate investigators,
- 2:22Speaker 4: they're now alleging that not only was Jack Smith spying
- 2:24Speaker 4: on members of Congress, but he was reading their text messages.
- 2:28Speaker 4: The investigative team has now obtained text message communications, they say,
- 2:34Speaker 4: involving forty four members of Congress. Now during its investigation
- 2:39Speaker 4: to President Trump, they decided to go phishing and they
- 2:43Speaker 4: wanted to read the messages of sitting members of Congress. Now,
- 2:47Speaker 4: those records were reportedly obtained through legal process directed at
- 2:51Speaker 4: the National Archives, rather than directly from the lawmaker's phones,
- 2:56Speaker 4: which is even more shocking. Now think about what this
- 2:59Speaker 4: action actually means with this revelation. For years, Americans were
- 3:04Speaker 4: told that these investigations were quote narrowly focused and carefully
- 3:10Speaker 4: controlled and insulated completely from politics. But now Congress is
- 3:16Speaker 4: looking at the story differently and asking a simple question.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Weather investigators quietly swept up these communications that were involving
- 3:25Speaker 4: more than forty four sitting members of the legislative branch
- 3:29Speaker 4: while also investigating the leading political opponent.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Of their administration, which was Donald J. Trump.
- 3:36Speaker 4: That is a shocking allegation. Something that would normally happen
- 3:41Speaker 4: in a communist country, or a socialist country, or a
- 3:44Speaker 4: Marxist country, a dictator would do something like this. Instead,
- 3:49Speaker 4: this was the weaponization of the United States government, the
- 3:53Speaker 4: deep state at the highest levels, and the FBI. Now
- 3:58Speaker 4: these are yes, not only extraordinary allegations, but according to
- 4:02Speaker 4: Chairman Jordan, the newly released documents appear inconsistent with Jack
- 4:08Speaker 4: Smith's congressional testimony, which is why these two stories now
- 4:11Speaker 4: come together. Smith's legal team strongly disputes the characterization, arguing
- 4:18Speaker 4: quote he answered questions truthfully about toll records and was
- 4:22Speaker 4: not denying that other records obtained through separate legal authorities existed.
- 4:28Speaker 4: In other words, are saying we're going to use the
- 4:30Speaker 4: fine print here now. Democrats on the committee have also
- 4:34Speaker 4: argued that the referral quote mischaracterizes Smith's testimony. The Justice
- 4:39Speaker 4: Department is not required to act on a congressional criminal referral,
- 4:42Speaker 4: to be clear, but regardless of where someone lands politically,
- 4:46Speaker 4: the larger issue is this, if federal prosecutors can obtain
- 4:52Speaker 4: communications involving not one, not two, not ten, not twenty,
- 4:56Speaker 4: but involving forty four members of Congress that we know
- 4:59Speaker 4: of during an investigation of a presidential candidate who was again,
- 5:04Speaker 4: by the way, a former president of the United States
- 5:06Speaker 4: of America, that Americans deserve transparency completely about how that
- 5:13Speaker 4: even happened. And then the other question is what legal
- 5:17Speaker 4: authority was used, were there any safeguards in place at all?
- 5:22Speaker 4: And was Congress itself accurately informed about what happened afterwards
- 5:28Speaker 4: or where they lied to Now this really isn't just
- 5:31Speaker 4: about Jack Smith anymore. It's actually about truth in the
- 5:36Speaker 4: justice system as a whole. It's about whether investigators played
- 5:40Speaker 4: by the same rule as they expected everyone else to follow,
- 5:43Speaker 4: or go to jail if you didn't. And it's also
- 5:46Speaker 4: about political accountability. If you weaponize the American government to
- 5:50Speaker 4: go after your political opponent and then we find out
- 5:53Speaker 4: about it, is there any recourse or consequence? Now, for
- 5:58Speaker 4: years we've been wanting saching. Prosecutors pursued Donald Trump with
- 6:02Speaker 4: unprecedented aggressiveness. Now the same House committee that investigated those
- 6:07Speaker 4: actions is asking whether the Special Council himself may have
- 6:10Speaker 4: crossed multiple legal lines by allegedly giving misleading testimony to
- 6:16Speaker 4: Congress to cover up their actions, which could actually be criminal.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Now there's two things here that you also need to
- 6:24Speaker 4: take into consideration. Number One, politically, this is a remarkable
- 6:28Speaker 4: reversal from where we were.
- 6:30Speaker 3: And the second part of this is the media.
- 6:32Speaker 4: The media is completely silent on what I'm telling you
- 6:35Speaker 4: right now, ask yourself the question why prosecutors, by the way,
- 6:40Speaker 4: who once stood at the center of the biggest legal
- 6:42Speaker 4: cases against Donald Trump, they're now having to face these allegations,
- 6:47Speaker 4: face the music, face the fact that their own testimony
- 6:51Speaker 4: deserves criminal scrutiny. And Congress is correct that investigators secretly
- 6:57Speaker 4: obtained text messages involving forty four members of Congress while
- 7:03Speaker 4: the public was told a very different story.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Then this story is going to be about far more.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Than just one man, and that man obviously being the
- 7:13Speaker 4: man in charge, Jack Smith. It's also far bigger than
- 7:16Speaker 4: the one story that involves Donald Trump, which brings us
- 7:20Speaker 4: to where we are now. This is a new story,
- 7:23Speaker 4: and I think it's a story that's going to be
- 7:25Speaker 4: whether Americans can have any confidence at all that when
- 7:29Speaker 4: Democrats are in charge, that they're actually playing by the rules,
- 7:34Speaker 4: they're playing by the rule of the law. Or is
- 7:37Speaker 4: this now what happens when democrats get elected, they do
- 7:41Speaker 4: whatever they want to do, they throw out the legal standards,
- 7:45Speaker 4: and then they just lie to Congress while doing it.
- 7:48Speaker 4: This is about American confidence that justice is actually administered
- 7:53Speaker 4: fairly or transparently or equally regardless.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Of whose name is in the case.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Or we live in a country where democrats and the
- 8:02Speaker 4: socialist Marxists and communists hiding in our government can weaponize
- 8:06Speaker 4: our government to put their political adversaries in prison. Now,
- 8:11Speaker 4: this is exactly what actually happens in places like Russia.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Vladimir Putin for decades has either oft or arrested or
- 8:21Speaker 4: bankrupt or destroyed his political opponents. Many of them are
- 8:25Speaker 4: just straight up killed. We see this happen in Latin America.
- 8:29Speaker 4: We see this happen all over the world in our
- 8:31Speaker 4: history books. Where new leadership comes in, they take ultimate
- 8:36Speaker 4: power over the people. They control every aspect of the government,
- 8:40Speaker 4: and the first thing they do is they go after
- 8:42Speaker 4: their political opponents and throw them in jail so they're
- 8:46Speaker 4: no longer a threat to them. That is what the
- 8:48Speaker 4: Democrats did with Donald Trump. And apparently it wasn't just
- 8:52Speaker 4: Democrats in Congress, it was also the deep state as well.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Now this is going to move I have a feeling
- 8:59Speaker 4: pretty quick. We're going to find out a lot more,
- 9:03Speaker 4: but one thing is for sure. Forty four different members
- 9:07Speaker 4: of Congress were spied on by the Special Council the
- 9:11Speaker 4: FBI and the administration that was in charge at the time,
- 9:16Speaker 4: the Democratic Party. If you're a member of Congress right
- 9:20Speaker 4: now and you now have just found out that you
- 9:23Speaker 4: are one of the forty four he respied on, I
- 9:26Speaker 4: have a feeling you've got a lot of questions that
- 9:29Speaker 4: you want answered, and I expect you're.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Going to see a lot of this exploding on Capitol Hill.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Next story number two.
- 9:36Speaker 4: They say that fame can be one hell of a drug,
- 9:39Speaker 4: and no one loved that drug more apparently than doctor
- 9:42Speaker 4: Anthony Fauci. He was not a name that anyone knew
- 9:47Speaker 4: before the COVID pandemic, but by the end of it,
- 9:49Speaker 4: his name id in this country and honestly around the world.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Well it was superstar status.
- 9:56Speaker 4: We now know just how much Anthony Fauci is obsessed
- 10:01Speaker 4: with his image.
- 10:03Speaker 3: The newly released.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Diary entries from doctor Anthony Fauci suggests that the former
- 10:07Speaker 4: White House COVID advisor became increasingly quote preoccupied with his
- 10:13Speaker 4: growing celebrity status, even as the coronavirus pandemic claimed tens
- 10:18Speaker 4: of thousands of American lives. The journals, released this past
- 10:23Speaker 4: weekend by Senator Rand Paul Chronicle Fauci's private thoughts during
- 10:28Speaker 4: the early months of the pandemic, when he served as
- 10:31Speaker 4: the nation's top infectious disease expert and a leading member
- 10:35Speaker 4: of the White House's Coronavirus Task Force. In an April seventh,
- 10:39Speaker 4: twenty twenty, diary entry, when more than sixty thousand Americans
- 10:44Speaker 4: were already dead from COVID nineteen, Fauci wrote, quote, press
- 10:50Speaker 4: still hot and heavy about me, multiple stories per day
- 10:55Speaker 4: directly or indirectly involving me. Weeks later, on May twenty five, first,
- 11:00Speaker 4: Fauci described his national and international fame as explosive and
- 11:06Speaker 4: really unimaginable quote unquote. He also added that it was
- 11:11Speaker 4: quote not hyperbole to characterize his level of global recognition
- 11:15Speaker 4: by that way. By then, nearly eighty nine thousand Americans
- 11:20Speaker 4: had died from the virus, and he was excited about
- 11:23Speaker 4: everybody knowing who he was now. The diary also shows
- 11:27Speaker 4: Fauci receiving invitations tied to his newfound celebrity. In late
- 11:32Speaker 4: June twenty twenty, as daily US COVID nineteen cases climbed
- 11:36Speaker 4: to a then record forty thousand, he wrote that he
- 11:41Speaker 4: had been invited to appear on ABC's dancing with the stars.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Fauci also documented growing tension with President Donald Trump's White House,
- 11:50Speaker 4: writing that extensive media coverage was turning him into a
- 11:53Speaker 4: star that outshines his words, a star that outshines the president.
- 12:01Speaker 4: He recalled secret Service officers at the White House security
- 12:05Speaker 4: gates routinely recognizing his vehicle and waving him through without
- 12:09Speaker 4: requesting identification. And that is what power drunk sounds like.
- 12:13Speaker 4: In a diary, my friends, Now, despite the attention, Fauci
- 12:17Speaker 4: wrote that he had quote no desire to conflict with,
- 12:21Speaker 4: embarrassed or showed up Now. Of course, despite the attention,
- 12:25Speaker 4: Fauci wrote that he had quote no desire to conflict with,
- 12:29Speaker 4: embarrass or show up the potus and later decided to
- 12:34Speaker 4: stop participating in profile interviews. Now, Senator Paul releasing this
- 12:39Speaker 4: is pretty interesting. He's a longtime Fauci critic. He's also
- 12:42Speaker 4: the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee,
- 12:47Speaker 4: and he released the diary entries days before Fauci is
- 12:50Speaker 4: scheduled to testify before the committee under a subpoena issued
- 12:54Speaker 4: by the Kentucky Republican. Senator Paul argues that the journal
- 13:00Speaker 4: a senior public health official overly focused on his public
- 13:04Speaker 4: image and media profile during one of the nation's worst
- 13:08Speaker 4: public health crisises. Quote Anthony Faucia answered to the American people,
- 13:14Speaker 4: Paul wrote in a June twenty eighth post on x
- 13:17Speaker 4: accusing federal health officials of prioritizing self promotion and media
- 13:22Speaker 4: narratives during the early months of the pandemic over telling
- 13:27Speaker 4: you what was actually happening. Now, the takeaway from all
- 13:31Speaker 4: of this for me is actually pretty simple. It is
- 13:34Speaker 4: clear that Anthony Fauci was obsessed with his fame. He
- 13:39Speaker 4: was obsessed with being the center of attention. He was
- 13:43Speaker 4: obsessed with doing interviews and being on the cover of
- 13:46Speaker 4: magazines and newspapers.
- 13:48Speaker 3: He was obsessed with the.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Countless stories that were coming out each and every day
- 13:52Speaker 4: around him. He was a man that was drunk on
- 13:57Speaker 4: his own supply. And doctor Ratchet now is gonna have
- 14:01Speaker 4: to answer these questions. Was he actually focused on saving
- 14:04Speaker 4: American lives or was he more focused on, well, how
- 14:08Speaker 4: big a star was getting in America and around the world.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Only Anthony Fauci, by the way, can you answer that question?
- 14:15Speaker 4: And this time it's gonna be under oath.
