Maple, Canada’s first-ever pygmy hippo calf, just made her debut at the Toronto Zoo — and she’s already stealing hearts! Born on August 2nd to parents Kindia and Harvey, this tiny treasure is part of an endangered species and the only one of her kind in the country. Named for her Canadian roots and the community love she’s already receiving, Maple is currently bonding privately with mom, still nursing and exploring water while practicing breath-holding. The zoo’s celebrating with a limited-edition Maple plush toy — 10% of proceeds support wildlife conservation. No public debut date yet, but…
