- 0:09SPEAKER_00: What is this?
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: This is a great career fair when it comes to having a job with purpose because you know sometimes their job is just a job, it's just filling a spot, right?
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: But this one is more filling a purpose because you're working with individuals who have either uh it might be an intellectual disability or more of and you get to do really cool things.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: I was looking at their social yesterday, actually.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: They went to Knobles the other day.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Oh so you might be somebody who works with an individual directly, or they also have maintenance, they also have uh finance dep department auditing.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: So if you're more of administrative, they have some positions for that.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: If you want something where you're more working one-on-one with these individuals, there's positions for that.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: And that's Thursday one to three in Troy PA.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: I'll also if you need to bring a resume, make sure you bring a resume, uh, dress for success.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: And you'll be meeting people that day who you can ask the questions, hey, what what will I be doing?
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: What are my hours?
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Because they also have weekend hours and they have some flexible scheduling.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I think it's nice because you might be able to choose a little bit about you know what your own schedule is.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: What where where again?
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: 57 Ballard in Troy.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: That's Thursday uh that you're gonna be out doing that.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Yes, one to three.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Excellent.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: All right now, did you bring steak to the barbecue?
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Because last week it was, well, I'm gonna of course hot dogs and hamburgers are gonna be there, but you're like, I I just want steak just for me.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: I'm not sharing with anyone else.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: I think it w did I did we get on that because I was just in a mood where I'm like, I've eaten a lot of hot dogs.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: I think it was that.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: It also sounded like you were kind of like iffy on going to the cookout, like it was like, oh my gosh, I've been really dizzy.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: In true include, in true classic fashion, Tiffany's family is a terrible set of planners when it comes to cookouts.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, it was a wonderful time, but the truth must come out on this.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Originally, I'm like, we do anything for 4th of July?
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: What?
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: We do anything for 4th of July?
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe, yeah, no, I don't know.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: And and and I kept thinking, okay, well, I mean, if we were gonna do a big, big cookout, uh-huh.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm talking like, you know, a heavy duty one.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: I'm like, maybe we could promote it at our house because I have all the tools there.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Well, then it became, uh, my family doesn't want to do a big cookout.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: But then it became, but we're gonna do like hot dogs and hamburgers.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: I do understand that.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Because sometimes you're like, let's just throw a dog on the grill.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, part of me was sitting there going, you know, it's 4th of July weekend.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: I need to do a a little bit of, you know, uh just a I need to celebrate it my own way.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: And that was a brisket.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, so not a steak.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: No, so you know, I got all this crap from her, you know, about oh, he had to one-up everybody uh at the uh cookout and this and that.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: How did I one up everybody?
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: We brought the burgers and the hot dogs and the brisket.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: That's not one-upping any everybody.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: Well, okay, what did everyone else bring if to do it?
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Everybody, everybody had certain things they did.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Okay, so it was a combined effort.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: Um Because you also have pasta salad that you brought in today.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Well, I also see, I like a pasta salad.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: I told you, I've become a summer salad whore.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: And I'm sorry, but I mean that's the truth.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: That's the one time I can honestly say that's the whore I want to be.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: But how come how come you were bringing the most expensive meat and okay?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Do you remember back earlier in the season?
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: I know, right?
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: We went from high end to low end.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Do you remember back earlier in the season I had said smoking season, that is?
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: I had said I wasn't really into it.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: I just wasn't feeling it.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: Like I could not get motivated to start doing stuff on the smoker or on the flat top.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what is going on?
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: This is actually something that came up on the podcast first.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: So I just felt like I'm like, I didn't get the biggest one, I got a smaller one.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: And uh at the same time-seed 17 people as opposed to 40.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but you know, I'm freezing some of it.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: We're gonna use that down the line.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: So I just thought, you know, that was more for me of something to do.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: It wasn't like I was trying to do, you know, prove anything or or whatever.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: I'm like, if you want a piece, have a piece.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Trent ate two pieces.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: So that was happy about that.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: If you want hot dogs, you eat hot dogs.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: You eat a hot dog.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: You want some burgers, eat a burger.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: It was because they said they just wanted something low-key.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Is that what it was?
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: I I guess.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, but at the same time, too, I'm like, I don't really know what the situation was gonna be with like it wasn't communicated to me like so-and-so is making a potato salad, so-and-so is doing this.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, well, yeah, I also like my pasta salad, so I'm gonna make that too.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Well, and that's why hence there's some here.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I've got to get through it.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Was there two pasta salads?
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: No.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, perfect.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Okay, that worked out great then.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Because if it if it wasn't communicated, sometimes that sucks because then there's two pasta salads, two potato salads.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: This is okay because mine's always gonna be better.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: You know that.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Everybody I have hence the one upping now.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Because I was thinking before I was like before I was like, he's not one up in it upping, he's just doing what Scott does, and that is taking his hobby and bringing it to the table.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: That's kind of what it was.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: Literally.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Yes, literally.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: And so it was sort of this weird mix of like, it is the holiday weekend.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Uh I want what you want.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: You gotta go a little bit more than just like, oh, it's Sunday and the kids have been playing on the trampoline, let's have a burger.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: I just, you know, it was like, let's go a little more.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: And if you want it, eat it.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: If you don't, I don't care.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: I'm grateful that you shared.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, I would of course shared.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: God, you know me.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Last week you were gonna bring one sirloin steak just for you.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: Well, yes, but I think I was, I think I was at a point where I was like, oh my God, I think I've had too many hot dogs.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: I think it was.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Like Joey Chestnut post the uh hot dog eating contest.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm gonna blow.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: As we were talking about it last week, though, it still was, well, Scott, that's weird for you to be eating steak while everyone else is eating hot dogs.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: It's all funny.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: I don't think anybody would have noticed.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: I really don't know.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Everybody was doing their thing, you know, and talking and doing stuff.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: I don't think anybody would have noticed.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Nobody pays attention to you?
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: No.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Well, here, look at the No, I know, right?
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Look on look at it this way.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: So Tiffany's mom had uh shrimp that she she's never grilled shrimp before.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: I said, Oh, it's easy.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I'll do I'll help you with that.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: So there was like three of us out of, let's say, ten of us that ate shrimp.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: So what's the difference?
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Her mom brought that.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: Well, you know what you bring you bring a sirloin steak just for you next time, and you tell me what the reaction is.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Well, I might try that.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: If you want a relationship to be sustainable, don't try that.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Don't try that?
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Don't try that.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Bring one for her too, and then it's okay.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: Yes.
