Sir Robert Ibsen, a 97-year-old Navy veteran and Kenosha native, is set to lead the Civic Veterans Parade this Sunday, June 28th, wearing his Chief Petty Officer uniform — a moment he calls the most gratifying of his life. Having served 21 years from 1946 to 1967, he saw action in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Married to his wife Elaine for 77 years, he credits her unwavering support for his journey.
