- 1:32Speaker 2: that the city of Huntington, I think set a record.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Several cities around West Virginia did, but Huntington specifically, I
- 1:37Speaker 2: read did set a record high temperature for yesterday. Not
- 1:40Speaker 2: so much for today though. Coming up Monday means we
- 1:44Speaker 2: get a visit from former Charleston mayor and so much more.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Danny Jones. He was away from the show last week
- 1:50Speaker 2: because he was starting to and I've got the TV
- 1:52Speaker 2: on here in the studio this morning, and I'm looking
- 1:53Speaker 2: at all these airport backups, and well, Danny was a
- 1:56Speaker 2: victim of one of those last week, so he'll have story.
- 2:00Speaker 2: He's from the road to tell us and that's coming
- 2:03Speaker 2: up a little bit later on. Also over the weekend,

- 2:33Speaker 2: by Shelley More Capitot's Republican Tom Willis. Good morning, Sarah,
- 2:36Speaker 2: welcome to the show.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Hey, good morning. How are you.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I'm doing fine. Thank you for being here in the
- 2:42Speaker 2: Charleston area right now. The people that are listening to us.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Just to kind of give you a little little heads up,
- 2:48Speaker 2: I'm assuming you're not in Charleston. I wouldn't plan on
- 2:50Speaker 2: coming to Charleston because traffic at least earlier was backed
- 2:54Speaker 2: up for miles on the interstate. Well passed Dunbar. So
- 2:57Speaker 2: wherever you are, Senator's probably a good thing that you're
- 3:00Speaker 2: there and not in Charleston. If you're indeed not in Charleston.
- 3:03Speaker 6: Well, I was there most of last week, but I've
- 3:06Speaker 6: been traveling all around the state, you know, running for
- 3:08Speaker 6: US Senate and just talking to people. I'm actually back
- 3:11Speaker 6: in the Panhandle today, So glad. I'm glad I'm not
- 3:14Speaker 6: fucking traffic.
- 3:14Speaker 5: I know it.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Well, yes, it's definitely causing a few curse words this morning.
- 3:22Speaker 2: We'll talk about your campaign in a moment. Before we
- 3:23Speaker 2: get to that, I do want to talk about the
- 3:25Speaker 2: recently wrapped up twenty twenty six legislative session. It wrapped
- 3:28Speaker 2: up a week ago Saturday night. Overall, your impression of
- 3:31Speaker 2: the session.
- 3:33Speaker 6: Well, yeah, I think you know. It was my first
- 3:35Speaker 6: year serving as chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and so
- 3:38Speaker 6: it was it was a unique perspective, just with the
- 3:41Speaker 6: volume of bills coming across my desk in that committee
- 3:44Speaker 6: and being part of the leadership team on the Senate side.
- 3:48Speaker 6: I would say, Dave, we had some wins, we had
- 3:51Speaker 6: some losses. I can't say I'm thrilled about the session.
- 3:55Speaker 6: I can't say I'm completely disappointed. I think that, you know,
- 3:58Speaker 6: some of the good things that came out of it.
- 4:01Speaker 6: You know, we did get a pay raise for state workers.
- 4:04Speaker 6: I wish it could have been higher, but at least
- 4:06Speaker 6: we got that done. We got a five percent income
- 4:08Speaker 6: tax cut. I wish that could have been higher, but
- 4:11Speaker 6: at least we got that done. I got a bill
- 4:14Speaker 6: through to protect churches and religious worship services so that
- 4:18Speaker 6: if folks come in like they did in Minneapolis and
- 4:21Speaker 6: they intentionally try to disrupt a worship service, that's a
- 4:24Speaker 6: criminal act now with heavy fines. I got some bills
- 4:28Speaker 6: through to protect seniors from fraud. I know, stuff my
- 4:32Speaker 6: parents have been dealing with, you know, on a personal level,
- 4:37Speaker 6: both with banking and with gift cards. So those were
- 4:39Speaker 6: some good bills. We got some good business friendly bills
- 4:42Speaker 6: done for giving tax credits for businesses that are funding
- 4:47Speaker 6: basically angel investor type deals for small businesses in West Virginia.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Some airport development funds for airports around the state, which
- 4:57Speaker 6: are really good at generating ancillary jobs. So for every good,
- 5:00Speaker 6: you know, investment in an airport, you'll generate you know,
- 5:02Speaker 6: six seven additional jobs around it. So those were some
- 5:06Speaker 6: of the wins, I think some of the losses some
- 5:08Speaker 6: of the things that I was disappointed. You know, I
- 5:11Speaker 6: wrote a bill to try to get West Virginians electric
- 5:15Speaker 6: bills down, their utility costs down, and my bill would
- 5:19Speaker 6: have required that the PSC show us their math. Basically,
- 5:24Speaker 6: so whatever projects they're approving had to be at least
- 5:28Speaker 6: fifty one percent in favor or a benefit to West
- 5:32Speaker 6: Virginia rate payers compared to the costs. And believe it
- 5:35Speaker 6: or not, that's not currently the law now. So I
- 5:37Speaker 6: would have required that they show us their math and
- 5:40Speaker 6: show us that this is good for West Virginia rate payers,
- 5:43Speaker 6: and show us by a preponderance of the aid of evidence,
- 5:46Speaker 6: and then publish it publicly so everybody could see, you know,
- 5:49Speaker 6: their rationale and their reasoning. And I was able to
- 5:52Speaker 6: get that through the Senate. Unfortunately the House killed it,
- 5:55Speaker 6: and that's a real loss I think for West Virginians
- 5:58Speaker 6: who were concerned about their utility bills. Another one that
- 6:03Speaker 6: I was disappointed to see. You know, I just stole
- 6:05Speaker 6: this from from President Trump, but I put I had
- 6:07Speaker 6: a bill in that we got through the Senate. For
- 6:10Speaker 6: every regulation that an agency proposes, they have to propose too,
- 6:14Speaker 6: that we can take off the books because we're subject
- 6:16Speaker 6: to over one hundred and twenty regulations per person in
- 6:19Speaker 6: this state and we need to get that way down.
- 6:23Speaker 6: So at a lot of other you know, a lot
- 6:26Speaker 6: of other bills and considerations, but those are a few
- 6:28Speaker 6: off the top of my head that that comes to mind.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Talking again with State Senator Tom Willis's transition to the campaign,
- 6:35Speaker 2: Now you want to be in the US Senate and
- 6:38Speaker 2: you're running for the seat as I said to currently
- 6:39Speaker 2: held with Senator Capital, why do you think there needs
- 6:41Speaker 2: to be a change in that position.
- 6:44Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a great question, Dave. I get that all
- 6:45Speaker 6: the time. I mean, I would say, first of all,
- 6:47Speaker 6: I would I would pause it that I'm the best
- 6:50Speaker 6: qualified person for the job. One, because I've got twenty
- 6:53Speaker 6: six years in the military with special operations. I'm a
- 6:56Speaker 6: US Special Forces Green Beret, so i would be the
- 6:59Speaker 6: only veteran in our US congressional delegation from West Virginia.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Obviously Shelley's not a veteran, so I'd bring that international
- 7:07Speaker 6: experience to bear. I'm also a West Virginia business owner.
- 7:11Speaker 6: I own a law firm with a few offices, a
- 7:13Speaker 6: title s RO company, and a general contracting company. And
- 7:16Speaker 6: so I'd bring that business background to bear in addition
- 7:19Speaker 6: to the political you know, the political resume that we
- 7:22Speaker 6: just talked about. So I'd say that I'm the most
- 7:24Speaker 6: qualified person for the job. But also I think that
- 7:28Speaker 6: West Virginians are looking for a conservative alternative to Shelley.
- 7:32Speaker 6: You know, she has an F voting record for conservative
- 7:36Speaker 6: voting and this is coming from rating agencies like SAPACK,
- 7:42Speaker 6: Heritage Action, Freedom Works. They all give Shelley an F
- 7:46Speaker 6: rating for conservative voting. And why well, because she's voted
- 7:49Speaker 6: against things like she voted against traditional marriage, so she
- 7:54Speaker 6: literally voted against the concept that marriage is one man
- 7:57Speaker 6: and one woman. She voted to keep funding for a
- 8:01Speaker 6: planned parenthood, she voted to she voted for red flight
- 8:06Speaker 6: gun confiscation, against our Second Amendment gun rights. She skipped
- 8:10Speaker 6: the vote to keep boys out of girls' sports. She
- 8:12Speaker 6: voted for the Afghan refugee resettlement program that directly resulted
- 8:17Speaker 6: in the death of one of my sisters in the
- 8:19Speaker 6: West Virginia National Guard. And you know, the severe wounding
- 8:23Speaker 6: of Andrew Wolfe, also a member of the West Virginia
- 8:25Speaker 6: National Guard and I think just across the board, West
- 8:30Speaker 6: Virginians realize it's time for a change, and so I'm
- 8:33Speaker 6: offering them a credible, experienced conservative alternative when they go
- 8:39Speaker 6: to vote in the Republican primary for May twelfth, so
- 8:42Speaker 6: they can choose. If they want to stick with the
- 8:44Speaker 6: direction we've been going with Shelley, that's great, And if
- 8:47Speaker 6: they want a conservative alternative, they can vote for Tom Willis,
- 8:50Speaker 6: and that's what I'm hoping they'll do.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I know that you've been again we're talking with Senator
- 8:54Speaker 2: Tom Willis. I know that you've been tied up with
- 8:56Speaker 2: the legislative session, but you have been campaigning for some time.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Now that the session behind us, I guess you'll go
- 9:00Speaker 2: into full time campaign mode. Uh so, what as you
- 9:05Speaker 2: head out across the state of West Virginia, what are
- 9:08Speaker 2: you hearing from voters? If you're doing door to door
- 9:11Speaker 2: sign you know, sign posting, whatever, what what are you
- 9:16Speaker 2: hearing from people?
- 9:18Speaker 6: I think there's a lot of pens up frustration with
- 9:20Speaker 6: Shelley across the board, and I think they're I think
- 9:23Speaker 6: voters are frustrated too that she's she's essentially hiding from
- 9:27Speaker 6: the people of West Virginia. So she'll come in and
- 9:29Speaker 6: she'll do a photo op, you know, with some sort
- 9:32Speaker 6: of local leaders in and then she'll pop out of town.
- 9:36Speaker 6: But but but she's not doing town halls like I'm doing,
- 9:39Speaker 6: where you know, I put myself in the direct fire
- 9:42Speaker 6: of of the voters and the people of West Virginia
- 9:44Speaker 6: and any question is fair game. And so I've been
- 9:47Speaker 6: doing that across the state, lots of counties just in
- 9:50Speaker 6: the past two weeks, and uh, and I'll continue to
- 9:53Speaker 6: do that. And I think that's what West Virginia's deserve
- 9:56Speaker 6: is a leader who's going to be open, transparent, and accountable.
- 9:59Speaker 6: And you know, we can have we can have policy disagreements,
- 10:02Speaker 6: but let's talk about it respectfully. Let's you know, let's
- 10:05Speaker 6: try to figure out what the truth is and what
- 10:08Speaker 6: the objective standard are standards are that we should be following.
- 10:11Speaker 6: And I think folks are frustrated that they don't feel
- 10:16Speaker 6: like they have that access to Shelley, but they get
- 10:18Speaker 6: it with Tom Willis, and I'm going to keep that
- 10:20Speaker 6: policy up even after I win the race, just to
- 10:23Speaker 6: say connected to the people. But the sense across the board, Dave,
- 10:26Speaker 6: is that it's time for a change.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Where can people learn more about your campaign, Senator, I.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Appreciate it so.

- 10:41Speaker 6: support across the board, and I'm asking for folks to
- 10:44Speaker 6: vote for me. Tom Willis on May twelfth in the
- 10:46Speaker 6: Republican primary.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Appreciate you being here. Best of luck with your campaign.

- 13:34Speaker 5: Well, good morning. I appreciate the invitation. Always good to
- 13:37Speaker 5: talk to you.
- 13:38Speaker 2: But I appreciate you being there. And congratulations.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I know. Wow, what a group of kids. They're
- 13:46Speaker 5: just they've been impressive as a group since they came in.
- 13:49Speaker 5: It's freshman. I tell everybody, they're just old school. They
- 13:52Speaker 5: just want to wear berguny and play for each other.
- 13:55Speaker 5: And I couldn't be happier for a group of kids.
- 13:58Speaker 5: It's a good group of kids who accomplish the goal
- 14:02Speaker 5: that they set out to do. And I'm really really
- 14:04Speaker 5: happy for them.
- 14:05Speaker 2: And what a game that was Saturday night, coach. To
- 14:08Speaker 2: wrap up the chart of a double overtime win over
- 14:11Speaker 2: a very good Spring Mills team team that you know
- 14:14Speaker 2: very well, that was quite the game, sir.
- 14:17Speaker 5: Oh, it's just a classic. You know, a championship game
- 14:21Speaker 5: can be a great period. We all know that we
- 14:23Speaker 5: watched many of them, but then you go to a
- 14:25Speaker 5: double overtime and obviously be fortunate enough to win it. Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 5: it'll go down. I think is one of the one
- 14:32Speaker 5: of the best, well, I think probably one of the
- 14:35Speaker 5: better games of a state championship at the chesch championship level.
- 14:39Speaker 5: Excuse me, it's at the state championship level.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I mean, you know, coaching a game like you've been
- 14:43Speaker 2: a coach for a long time, You've you've seen it all.
- 14:46Speaker 2: But that will aid you quite quickly, sir.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Yeah it will. But it's fun. But you know, you
- 14:54Speaker 5: kind of get going in it, you know, and it's
- 14:57Speaker 5: just so intense. You really don't think about much from
- 15:00Speaker 5: a thing. You're just playing that possession, you know, on
- 15:04Speaker 5: both ends of the floor. So it's some way more
- 15:07Speaker 5: nerve wracking for the people watching in your family and
- 15:09Speaker 5: friends and fans than it is on the floor because
- 15:12Speaker 5: you're just really caught up in the moment and what
- 15:14Speaker 5: you're trying to do and trying to get the kids
- 15:16Speaker 5: to do so. But it's it's still fun. It's just
- 15:19Speaker 5: a lot more fun when you win it.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Absolutely. We're talking to coach Rick Green of the George
- 15:23Speaker 2: Washington Patriots, this year's State Quade Basketball champions They got
- 15:28Speaker 2: the double overtime win over Spring Mills in the final
- 15:32Speaker 2: game Saturday night at the Connell Seaman Convention Center. You
- 15:34Speaker 2: referenced it earlier, coach, but I want to give you
- 15:36Speaker 2: a little bit more of an opportunity to talk about
- 15:38Speaker 2: the group of kids that you had.
- 15:41Speaker 5: Yeah, they you know, the way society is now, and
- 15:45Speaker 5: then transfer a role and everybody's always looking after me
- 15:49Speaker 5: and I want more, and oh, well, this program's good.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Let me go over here, let me go build a team,
- 15:55Speaker 5: and let me recruit some guys to have a travel
- 15:58Speaker 5: ball club and all, you know, all the things that's
- 16:01Speaker 5: going on now to me, a lot of all, a
- 16:03Speaker 5: lot of the neg A lot of that's extremely negative,
- 16:06Speaker 5: and it's hurting high school sports these kids. Uh, And
- 16:09Speaker 5: we've lost kids and we've had kids come in, so
- 16:12Speaker 5: it's not like we're immune to it. But this group
- 16:14Speaker 5: in particular never flinched. And they they're good friends on
- 16:18Speaker 5: and off the court. I think they'll be lifetime friends.
- 16:22Speaker 5: They have been great leaders all the way through in
- 16:26Speaker 5: their own way. And you know, as you grow up,
- 16:28Speaker 5: go to a program, you'd lead more as you get older.
- 16:31Speaker 5: If you ask our underclassmen, they love them. Uh. The
- 16:34Speaker 5: effort we got all year in practice or games, a
- 16:37Speaker 5: lot of reflected the respect that our underclassmen have for
- 16:41Speaker 5: our senior class. So I just think it's it's rare anymore.
- 16:45Speaker 5: It's sad that it's rare, but for me as an
- 16:48Speaker 5: older coach, it's been extremely It's been an honor really
- 16:53Speaker 5: to coach them and to see how they approach things.
- 16:56Speaker 5: And I just hope we could trend back that way
- 16:59Speaker 5: for everybody, not just guys at GW.
- 17:02Speaker 2: I want to talk about the team that you beat,
- 17:05Speaker 2: a team that you were coming very very familiar with
- 17:07Speaker 2: Spring Mills. Again, just a great, great basketball team, you
- 17:11Speaker 2: know that. And this is a school that is a
- 17:15Speaker 2: relatively new school, so they don't have the tradition of
- 17:18Speaker 2: you know, a GW or some of these other schools
- 17:20Speaker 2: around the state. But if they keep going like they
- 17:22Speaker 2: are now, coach, they're going to have that tradition before
- 17:25Speaker 2: too long.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Oh they are, you know, they play for too straight now,
- 17:29Speaker 5: you know. And their football has been very good. Their
- 17:31Speaker 5: athletes are very good. And they're in that eastern Panana,
- 17:35Speaker 5: which is while like the wild West, you know, people
- 17:38Speaker 5: a lot of people are moving in that area. Seems
- 17:40Speaker 5: like every three or four years they're building another high school.
- 17:43Speaker 5: So I just think that talent level in that part
- 17:46Speaker 5: of the state is really growing and there's a lot
- 17:49Speaker 5: to choose from. And then again with the transfer rule.
- 17:53Speaker 5: You know, kids can go where they want. So now
- 17:56Speaker 5: kids in that area at Spring Mills is probably one
- 17:58Speaker 5: of the hot places to go. So yeah, they're going
- 18:01Speaker 5: to be good. Just their size and their location that
- 18:05Speaker 5: gets some huge advantage over a lot of other schools.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Can we're talking with coach Rick Green George Washington of Patriots.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I want to talk about the fans a little bit too,
- 18:12Speaker 2: because and by the way, I do want to mention
- 18:14Speaker 2: we've got the games on the highlights, pictures of whatnot
- 18:18Speaker 2: post a WV Metro News dot Commada Metro Metro News
- 18:21Speaker 2: television as well. I love the scene of the GwL
- 18:26Speaker 2: your players out there celebrating with the students of the school.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I mean, you get some great, great fans on the hill.
- 18:35Speaker 5: We do. Yeah, they're very loyal. I think they're like
- 18:38Speaker 5: all sometimes we get a little spoiled or we're not
- 18:40Speaker 5: going to go to that game because we'll do this,
- 18:42Speaker 5: you know, and we've kind of created a little bit
- 18:44Speaker 5: of a monster like that. But that's in a long run,
- 18:46Speaker 5: that's a good monster. But yeah, they show they show up,
- 18:50Speaker 5: and they are loyal and they're loud, and we love them.
- 18:55Speaker 5: And again they they show up. No matter what. And
- 19:00Speaker 5: we're very fortunate our older part of the community, of
- 19:03Speaker 5: the kid, the people that maybe gone to school there before,
- 19:06Speaker 5: or the people in the community, they'rey extremely supportive as well.
- 19:10Speaker 5: I've always thought that playing at home on the Hill
- 19:14Speaker 5: is one of the toughest places to play because of
- 19:16Speaker 5: our student body and because of how loud and supportive
- 19:20Speaker 5: they are. And then they show up at the Civic Center,
- 19:23Speaker 5: which that does not surprise me. They've really taken to
- 19:27Speaker 5: this team in particular.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Well, hopefully you and the team have a little bit
- 19:29Speaker 2: of time to celebrate it. But I know in the
- 19:31Speaker 2: world of college I'm sorry, in the world of high
- 19:33Speaker 2: school basketball or coaching in general, you're always looking ahead
- 19:36Speaker 2: to that next season. But hopefully you will take a
- 19:38Speaker 2: little bit of time to celebrate a little bit.
- 19:40Speaker 5: Coach, we will, trust me, we did not take this
- 19:45Speaker 5: for granted by any means. We'll worry about next year
- 19:47Speaker 5: a little bit later. We're gonna sit and just sit
- 19:50Speaker 5: in the middle of this and suck it all in.
- 19:52Speaker 2: And these kids, I mean, you know, whenever they win
- 19:54Speaker 2: a championship, coach, that's for life. You know they're going
- 19:57Speaker 2: to have a ups and downs in life. But they
- 19:59Speaker 2: can always say, hey, we were part of a state
- 20:01Speaker 2: championship team.
- 20:03Speaker 5: Well, you know, Dave, that's exactly what I was fortunate
- 20:06Speaker 5: to play on one for coach Aubridge at GW and
- 20:09Speaker 5: we and I've told him that it's a lifetime bonds.
- 20:12Speaker 5: I don't know how you explain it. I probably don't
- 20:15Speaker 5: want to explain it, you know, but take away the
- 20:18Speaker 5: mystique of it. But my best friends and people I
- 20:21Speaker 5: still rely on in certain times are my teammates from
- 20:25Speaker 5: nineteen seventy one. So you're one hundred percent right. They
- 20:28Speaker 5: will have a certain bond forever. And I'm just happy
- 20:32Speaker 5: for him because it is a lifetime achievement in some ways.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Coach Rick Green, coach of the Quad A State basketball
- 20:38Speaker 2: champions the George Washington Patriots, great great game. You can
- 20:42Speaker 2: go back and watch it if you want to. Metro
- 20:44Speaker 2: News television, and I don't know if you if you
- 20:46Speaker 2: were coaching it, maybe at some point you'll go back
- 20:48Speaker 2: and watch the game. I don't know if you or
- 20:50Speaker 2: you just want to kind of move on from there.
- 20:51Speaker 2: But congratulations again coach, your class acting. We appreciate you
- 20:54Speaker 2: being on the show today.
- 20:55Speaker 5: Well thank you and anytime you need something, you let
- 20:58Speaker 5: me know, be glad to help you.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Thank you all right, Coach Rick Green again of the
- 21:02Speaker 2: George Washington Patriots State Quade Basketball champions It was a
- 21:07Speaker 2: fantastic game. I was actually out of town this weekend,
- 21:10Speaker 2: but I watched the conclusion of that game and once
- 21:13Speaker 2: GW it went to double overtime, and GW rolled off
- 21:16Speaker 2: the first six points in the double overtime period, and
- 21:18Speaker 2: it was kind of like all she wrote, but what
- 21:21Speaker 2: a what a great, great game. I watched it. As
- 21:25Speaker 2: I said, I was out of town, but I was
- 21:26Speaker 2: watching it via Metro News television, and it was a great,
- 21:29Speaker 2: great game. It really was one for the ages. The

- 22:47Speaker 2: Danny Jones. How you doing, my friend? I thought i'd
- 22:49Speaker 2: just bring you in a little bit early.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Well, I'm right here.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I know you're right here, but you weren't right here
- 22:54Speaker 2: last week.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Can I get somebody a plug?
- 22:56Speaker 2: You can do whatever you want, your Danny freaking Jones.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I got in at two forty five in the morning.
- 23:05Speaker 4: I had no.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Ride last week.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Last week getting off the plane from Atlanta. You know
- 23:12Speaker 4: who bought me off the hill, the Thornhills.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Oh okay.
- 23:17Speaker 4: He put my bag in his truck, talking about Wally,
- 23:21Speaker 4: the big heavy bag. Yeah, and he put it in there,
- 23:25Speaker 4: and then he took me right to my front door
- 23:28Speaker 4: and then he got out and got my bag out
- 23:30Speaker 4: for me. What a guy. If I ever buy another Toyota,
- 23:35Speaker 4: I mean, that's where I'll go. I don't know if ever.
- 23:38Speaker 4: I don't even drive the one I have now.
- 23:40Speaker 2: So Wally is a class actor. I've known Wally. I've
- 23:43Speaker 2: known Wally Thornhill since Wally was in the autobody business,
- 23:47Speaker 2: long before he ever became a car car.
- 23:49Speaker 4: So they got the run around from Delta. Delta did
- 23:52Speaker 4: not treat them properly, but they got on the plane
- 23:56Speaker 4: and they were very nice to me. And I got
- 24:02Speaker 4: to talking to his wife and Martha, and I said,
- 24:08Speaker 4: I said, you can't get a cab up here anymore.
- 24:12Speaker 4: He said, well, we'll take you home, you know. Oh okay.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Well that's great because speaking to cars, there was a
- 24:21Speaker 2: Danny Jones sighting or two of you cruising around TJ.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Meadows talk line co hosts. Since he saw you out
- 24:27Speaker 2: cruising in one of your classics last.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Week in the Cadillac.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I don't it was all yeah, I think it was.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Yeah, being chipped on Wednesday.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Being shipped to Cali. What years your Cadillac.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Fifty nine being shipped out to the left coast. I'll
- 24:46Speaker 4: have my own personal car to drive out there.
- 24:48Speaker 2: And you'll fit right in in California in that Cadillac.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Does it still run good? Does it still running? Okay?
- 24:54Speaker 6: Oh?
- 24:54Speaker 4: Runs great? Uh huh yeah it runs.
- 24:57Speaker 2: How long have you had it?
- 25:00Speaker 5: Oh?
- 25:00Speaker 4: My goodness, if I had it a year? It feels
- 25:03Speaker 4: like it. But there's nothing wrong with that car. It
- 25:06Speaker 4: needs a lot of gas. Well yeah, and yet, but
- 25:09Speaker 4: I test, isn't it now there? I test just over
- 25:14Speaker 4: six bucks a gallon?
- 25:16Speaker 2: Well, talk about your experience last week in the airport
- 25:20Speaker 2: because what you stuck there for a while because you said,
- 25:23Speaker 2: I'm in Atlanta, will you text me on We were supposed.
- 25:25Speaker 4: To leave at nine something. We ended up leaving about
- 25:32Speaker 4: one point thirty.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Okay, was it now? That was that was more weather
- 25:36Speaker 2: related on? Yeah, but did you see because all the
- 25:39Speaker 2: news now, of course, that was a week ago. All
- 25:40Speaker 2: the news now is about all the issues with TSA
- 25:43Speaker 2: and whatnot. Did you did you see any of that
- 25:45Speaker 2: when you were traveling?
- 25:46Speaker 4: No? Okay, went look, here's my conjecture on that President
- 25:53Speaker 4: Trump needs to get out in front of this now
- 25:56Speaker 4: because they're not going to cooperate. I heard that Jeffries,
- 26:01Speaker 4: Leader of the House became Jeffries. Yeah, he said that, Well,
- 26:07Speaker 4: I didn't qualify to do that, do that kind of work. Well,
- 26:11Speaker 4: nobody is. And you know he sent the Marines to
- 26:17Speaker 4: Los Angeles. Send them to the airport, get a bunch
- 26:22Speaker 4: of people in there, and get out in front of
- 26:24Speaker 4: this because it's really it's really politically couldn't be good.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Well, and what happens is is and this is just
- 26:35Speaker 2: the way we are as humans. Nobody really cares until
- 26:37Speaker 2: it affects you. I mean, we saw that with the
- 26:39Speaker 2: government shut down last fall. I mean people were just like, Oh,
- 26:42Speaker 2: that's just something on TV. Oh wait a minute, you
- 26:44Speaker 2: mean my packages might be delayed. You mean I may
- 26:46Speaker 2: not be able to go here for Thanksgivings or whatever
- 26:49Speaker 2: the case may be. Okay, now it's an issue because
- 26:51Speaker 2: that's just the way we are. It doesn't affect us.
- 26:53Speaker 2: We don't normally care.
- 26:54Speaker 4: I'm leaving April first, I'll be going eleven days, and
- 27:03Speaker 4: I'm not worried about Charleston in Atlanta, you know, I
- 27:08Speaker 4: just go to the lounge. I mean, I've got the
- 27:12Speaker 4: right credit card to get me in the lounge. But
- 27:15Speaker 4: coming back through John Wayne, I'm a little scared. It's
- 27:21Speaker 4: a little intimidating. But there's no problem this time. But
- 27:26Speaker 4: those people aren't getting paid.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Well, and you're only going to work so long that
- 27:31Speaker 2: you don't get paid.
- 27:32Speaker 4: And majority of Leader Soon and Senator Capital both support
- 27:44Speaker 4: the filibuster. If you don't if you if you got
- 27:51Speaker 4: rid of the filibuster, you could pass any law you
- 27:53Speaker 4: wanted to. I was always for the filibuster. But as
- 27:58Speaker 4: soon as the Democrats take over and there's a Democrat
- 28:02Speaker 4: in the White House, that filibuster. We're gone, and it'll
- 28:06Speaker 4: be gone the first day.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Do you feel pretty confident that anytime soon we'll see
- 28:13Speaker 2: a Democrat in the White House?
- 28:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you think so?
- 28:17Speaker 2: Who is that Democrat?
- 28:18Speaker 4: It would It would depend on who the Republicans put up.
- 28:24Speaker 4: I don't think jd Vance can win. I think Rubio could.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Why do you think Jadvance can't win?
- 28:34Speaker 4: Maybe it's just me. He wrote me the wrong way.
- 28:37Speaker 4: I just politically he doesn't. I don't feel he's got it.
- 28:45Speaker 8: I don't.
- 28:45Speaker 2: But you say that you think Rubio could win, But
- 28:48Speaker 2: obviously you know he did run and he didn't make
- 28:52Speaker 2: it out of the primary. So what's changed.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Well, he ran against Trump.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Okay, all right, that's talk about the opposition.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, but if he could, if he could get
- 29:02Speaker 4: out of the primary, if he could be the Republican candidate.
- 29:08Speaker 4: I saw his speech in Germany and I thought, Wow,
- 29:14Speaker 4: there's a winner. And it was all off the cuff.
- 29:18Speaker 4: There were no idiot boards or no paperwork, nothing. And
- 29:22Speaker 4: I saw him do that on the Senate floor. He
- 29:25Speaker 4: gave a fifteen minute speech about Russia and he wasn't
- 29:30Speaker 4: looking at anything. It was all off the cuff. I
- 29:35Speaker 4: think he's exceptionally sharp.
- 29:37Speaker 2: What about your boy Shapiro.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Well, that's on the Democrat side. I don't think he
- 29:44Speaker 4: can get through the primaries, but if he did, I'd
- 29:47Speaker 4: be for him.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Is there a here's what I've watched him on Bill
- 29:50Speaker 2: Maher a couple of weeks ago, and he did a fantastic.
- 29:52Speaker 4: Job on here.
- 29:53Speaker 2: And I like Shapiro. I don't know that they're in
- 29:57Speaker 2: my opinion, and you can agree with history. I don't
- 29:59Speaker 2: know that there is a place in the Democratic Party
- 30:05Speaker 2: as it is now for someone who tends to be
- 30:09Speaker 2: a little bit more moderate, like a mainstream like a Shapiro,
- 30:15Speaker 2: like a governor, like a yeah I don't like, like
- 30:18Speaker 2: Joe Mant.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Like a mayor, like a governor, like somebody.
- 30:21Speaker 2: I don't see. I don't know that that's the Maybe
- 30:24Speaker 2: I'm wrong. I don't know that that's the temperature of
- 30:28Speaker 2: where the National Democratic Party is.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Right, He's got it. There's something else that people don't want,
- 30:33Speaker 4: you know, they don't they they with for this, but
- 30:35Speaker 4: they won't say it. He's silly. And I don't know
- 30:39Speaker 4: the Democrats now, you know, the the anti Semitism used
- 30:45Speaker 4: to be on the right. Now it's on the Latin yep,
- 30:50Speaker 4: and uh, I don't. I don't think that the AOC
- 30:54Speaker 4: and the louder voices in the Democrat Party will a
- 31:00Speaker 4: Jewish guy up there. That's why I think I think
- 31:03Speaker 4: Ram Emmanuel's qualified.
- 31:05Speaker 2: I just can't believe, though, Danny, that in twenty twenty six,
- 31:10Speaker 2: we're still having the same discussions that we had when
- 31:13Speaker 2: Kennedy ran. You know that will never put a Catholic
- 31:18Speaker 2: in the white There are people that specifically that did
- 31:20Speaker 2: not vote for him. I mean, are we are we
- 31:21Speaker 2: still having this collation all these years later?
- 31:24Speaker 4: Jews are tied to Israel. Israel now is become controversial.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Oh yeah, they become. I mean I like what they're doing.
- 31:36Speaker 4: I like what Trump's doing in the Middle East. But
- 31:38Speaker 4: a lot of people don't.
- 31:40Speaker 2: A lot of people, I mean, let's be fair, and
- 31:42Speaker 2: you and I We've said it before. I'm I'm not
- 31:44Speaker 2: a Trump person, but there's a lot of things. I
- 31:46Speaker 2: mean even there's a lot of people that hate things
- 31:50Speaker 2: that Trump does just because it's Donald Trump.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Well that's like that's like Jeffries send them talking about
- 31:56Speaker 4: putting ice at the airport. What's your way? Why don't
- 31:59Speaker 4: you pass a Bill knucklehead. I mean, but why didn't
- 32:05Speaker 4: get the Senate to stop the filibuster and pass a bill.
- 32:10Speaker 4: They're mad because see, ICE is already funded. They got
- 32:14Speaker 4: funded in the big beautiful bill and they've they've got
- 32:18Speaker 4: their money, but they want to use that as leveraged
- 32:22Speaker 4: to stop to stop ice to open up the border again.
- 32:29Speaker 4: You know, all right.

- 35:01Speaker 2: to those, I do want to say, Danny, I have
- 35:03Speaker 2: to ask now. And I'm sure you read about it.
- 35:06Speaker 2: A writing on truth Social Saturday morning, following the death
- 35:09Speaker 2: of Robert Mauller, President Trump said, and I quote Robert
- 35:13Speaker 2: Muller just died. Good. I'm glad he's dead. He can
- 35:17Speaker 2: no longer hurt innocent people. End quote your thoughts.
- 35:22Speaker 4: It's just it's hard to believe guy had a had
- 35:27Speaker 4: a a portfolio of service, you know, pretty well unmatched.
- 35:36Speaker 4: He was he and he didn't ask to be the
- 35:38Speaker 4: special prosecutor. And by the way, the first part of
- 35:42Speaker 4: what he did pretty well exonerated Trump. But he was
- 35:47Speaker 4: fast at prime. Then Andrew Weissman was the one did that.
- 35:51Speaker 4: And he's a Trump hater.
- 35:54Speaker 2: But do you think though, Danny here, I mean, and
- 35:57Speaker 2: TJ writes about this in his commentary today, and you know,
- 36:00Speaker 2: it's just typical if you go and you read the
- 36:03Speaker 2: comments to the commentary which DJ and I'll talk about
- 36:05Speaker 2: a little bit later on a midday. If you hate Trump,
- 36:09Speaker 2: then you think it's great. And if you love Trump,
- 36:12Speaker 2: then then you didn't. But have we Maybe it's just me,
- 36:17Speaker 2: but I'm not big on my president, Republican, Democrat, whatever,
- 36:22Speaker 2: saying they're glad someone died.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Why, how does that help him?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Well, it stokes the fires of the base.
- 36:31Speaker 4: How does that help the Republican Party?
- 36:33Speaker 2: It doesn't. But he doesn't care about the Republican How
- 36:36Speaker 2: does that help He doesn't the Only thing this is
- 36:40Speaker 2: if you go back and you look at any interview
- 36:42Speaker 2: with anybody that's ever been around Donald Trump, well before
- 36:46Speaker 2: he came down, that escalator. They say that Donald Trump
- 36:49Speaker 2: is out for Donald Trump, and it's all about his
- 36:52Speaker 2: brand and whatever, and and honestly, I don't know the
- 36:54Speaker 2: guy obviously, but I don't think he really cares. And
- 36:58Speaker 2: those comments like that go online and look at all
- 37:01Speaker 2: of the comments from the from hardcore Trump supporters. They
- 37:07Speaker 2: loved it. They love it because we have in their words,
- 37:11Speaker 2: we have somebody who tells it like it is. I'm
- 37:13Speaker 2: using air quotes there.
- 37:18Speaker 4: The truth should have some beauty to it. I mean,
- 37:23Speaker 4: that's just not It's totally unnecessary, all right, I me.
- 37:26Speaker 2: I got a couple of texts here. So it looks
- 37:28Speaker 2: like Trump is keeping true to his taco form markets
- 37:31Speaker 2: whiplash on his words and Rod denies the Trump post
- 37:34Speaker 2: from this morning. The pumping and dumping continues. Dave, have
- 37:38Speaker 2: you seen the Donald Trump stickers with I ran your
- 37:41Speaker 2: gas prices up? I've not seen those, perfect, perfect time,
- 37:45Speaker 2: perfectly fitting. I'm sorry, he says the texture Texas. So
- 37:50Speaker 2: the nightmare known as Obamacare begins sixteen years ago. For
- 37:54Speaker 2: something that was supposed to be so great and fix
- 37:56Speaker 2: everything for everyone, that Congress and BARACKA. Michelle made sure
- 37:59Speaker 2: to exempt the cells from it. But uninsured tax being
- 38:02Speaker 2: citizens had to pay a fine that didn't take it,
- 38:04Speaker 2: and yet the cost of health care was higher than
- 38:07Speaker 2: before that stupid bill. Congratulations Democrats. That was the first
- 38:11Speaker 2: nail in the coffin known as the fundamental transformation of
- 38:15Speaker 2: That's none.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Of that's true. It's just not true. The reason the
- 38:20Speaker 4: Affordable Care Act didn't work is because of a few things.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Number One, I've said this before. The Republicans stripped away
- 38:33Speaker 4: the taxes. Indeed, you know you're going to spend money,
- 38:37Speaker 4: you need taxes. Well, they had taxes. They stripped it away,
- 38:42Speaker 4: medical device tax. Okay, Now, the unions in twenty fourteen,
- 38:49Speaker 4: there was supposed to be a tax put on these
- 38:51Speaker 4: Cadillac healthcare plans that the unions were able to negotiate. Well,
- 38:58Speaker 4: the Democrats took that away. And then Medicare was supposed
- 39:05Speaker 4: to be taken over by the state by the year
- 39:07Speaker 4: twenty nineteen, and none of us happened. So what's happened
- 39:13Speaker 4: to the Affordable Care Act? It has become an exchange,
- 39:18Speaker 4: a place where you by insurance that's not cheap. The
- 39:24Speaker 4: difference is they have to sell it to you. Before
- 39:29Speaker 4: they didn't have to people that had pre existing positions,
- 39:35Speaker 4: couldn't get insurance now, but now insurance companies have to
- 39:39Speaker 4: sell to you.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Well. I mentioned earlier in the teas for Metro News
- 39:43Speaker 2: Midday that Mike Pushkin, a delegate state Democratic Party chair,
- 39:46Speaker 2: he'd reached out to me last week about coming on
- 39:48Speaker 2: mid Day to Day to talk about the anniversary of
- 39:50Speaker 2: the Affordable Healthcare and he and the state Democratic Party
- 39:56Speaker 2: issued a statement which literally hit just before I came
- 39:59Speaker 2: on the air on affordable and this is the headline.
- 40:02Speaker 2: I won't read the whole thing on Affordable Care Act anniversary.
- 40:05Speaker 2: West Virginia Democratic Party slams Republicans for unleashing healthcare crisis
- 40:09Speaker 2: in West Virginia.
- 40:11Speaker 4: Now that's not true either, all right, Why is that
- 40:13Speaker 4: not true? Well, because Republicans healthcare is expensive, that's why.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Yeah, And I'll just paraphrase from day marks the sixteenth
- 40:21Speaker 2: anniversary of the ACA. However, because of Donald Trump and
- 40:27Speaker 2: West Virginia Republican's refusal to extend the life saving ACA
- 40:30Speaker 2: Enhanced tax credits, thousands of family have dropped. There's a
- 40:32Speaker 2: health insurance after seeing the premium skyrocket bybin average of
- 40:35Speaker 2: one hundred and fourteen percent, creating a healthcare crisis in
- 40:39Speaker 2: West Virginia.
- 40:41Speaker 4: I don't know if that's true.
- 40:42Speaker 2: I don't I don't know.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Did that come from the Democratic This is.
- 40:47Speaker 2: The official state for the h A reminder, this is
- 40:50Speaker 2: how it closes. Trump and Republicans also slashed one trillion
- 40:54Speaker 2: dollars from Medicaid, putting over seven rural hospitals at risk
- 40:58Speaker 2: of closure in West Virginia. Ripping away health care for
- 41:00Speaker 2: seventy five thousands West Virginians.
- 41:03Speaker 4: Now that's possible.
- 41:05Speaker 5: You know what.
- 41:07Speaker 4: I haven't been there. It's been about a year, maybe longer.
- 41:11Speaker 4: I got I came in off the road and I
- 41:13Speaker 4: had to go to the VA hospital. I was not
- 41:17Speaker 4: doing well. And all the people that worked there. The
- 41:25Speaker 4: first thing, that's a Kentucky hospital. Okay, it's it's just
- 41:29Speaker 4: on the border, and most people worked there from Kentucky.
- 41:33Speaker 4: But the hospital in Ashland closed, so that just opened
- 41:38Speaker 4: up a reservoir of employees to work at the VA.
- 41:46Speaker 4: And I just got treated so well. I mean, they
- 41:49Speaker 4: were so nice to me.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Tex says, going back to we were talking about possible
- 41:55Speaker 2: presidential candidates. As as public as he's been in speaking
- 41:59Speaker 2: common sense, could John Fetterman be seen as the next
- 42:02Speaker 2: Joe Mansion.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Well, I think he already is. I mean, I mean
- 42:08Speaker 4: their careers are pretty identical. Are they are saying that
- 42:14Speaker 4: Fetterman's going to run for president?
- 42:16Speaker 2: That's been rumored. I don't know that. I mean, I've
- 42:21Speaker 2: seen a couple of the interviews with Fetterman here lately.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I don't know he's going to complete his term. He
- 42:25Speaker 2: just doesn't seem like he's that into it anymore. I mean, well,
- 42:28Speaker 2: and if you go back to that interview I alloted
- 42:30Speaker 2: to that that Shapiro did, I think Bill Maher asked
- 42:33Speaker 2: about their relationship and he just kind of danser. I
- 42:36Speaker 2: get the idea of the relationship between the two is
- 42:38Speaker 2: not very good.
- 42:39Speaker 4: It's not I don't know, they don't like each other,
- 42:41Speaker 4: all right.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Tex says not true that Congress and then President Obama
- 42:46Speaker 2: exempted themselves. It was absolutely true.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Oh Congress and President Obama. Okay, I miss the hered that.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Please forgive me okay, Uh yeah, I was yeah, Okay,
- 42:57Speaker 2: does say Congressman, Okay.
- 42:58Speaker 4: Please forgive me for that.
- 43:00Speaker 2: You're right, okay. Somebody sent me the stickers that are
- 43:07Speaker 2: going up around uh gas pumps with the with Trump
- 43:12Speaker 2: with his finger in the air saying I ran your
- 43:13Speaker 2: gas prices up. I wondered when we would see those,
- 43:16Speaker 2: Remember how we saw the I did that, so I
- 43:19Speaker 2: figured it would probably come.
- 43:20Speaker 4: Well, you think they're bad. I mean the gas prices
- 43:24Speaker 4: have jumped almost a dollar here, but they're in other
- 43:27Speaker 4: parts of the country there they're going up.
- 43:30Speaker 2: And again it goes back to what I said before.
- 43:32Speaker 2: People want to know how does it affect me? And
- 43:36Speaker 2: the way it is going to it's you know, everybody's
- 43:39Speaker 2: got to go to work, they've got to go to church,
- 43:40Speaker 2: hospital appointments, whatever. That's one thing. But when we see
- 43:44Speaker 2: prices going up because it costs more to get your
- 43:47Speaker 2: Amazon order to you, when it costs more than that's
- 43:50Speaker 2: when people but is it going to erode? I mean
- 43:55Speaker 2: what the president has in in what I have read,
- 43:57Speaker 2: what the president have done in any run, most people
- 44:02Speaker 2: don't think that it's that it's a bad thing at all,
- 44:04Speaker 2: that what we did what Well, now, let me take
- 44:08Speaker 2: that back, because there are a lot of people though
- 44:13Speaker 2: that think that we should stay out of things completely.
- 44:16Speaker 2: But nobody's going to argue that the world's a better
- 44:19Speaker 2: place without that regime there. We just don't know what
- 44:21Speaker 2: the next regime is going to look like.
- 44:22Speaker 4: Yeah, well they felt you know, they felt that way
- 44:26Speaker 4: before War two, So same thing. Same Charles Lindbergh isolationists,
- 44:35Speaker 4: anti Semitic attitude.

- 47:26Speaker 2: Danny Jones is here Texas Day. The Save the America
- 47:30Speaker 2: Act is common sense. Democrats holding out from supporting this
- 47:32Speaker 2: important act shows the Democrats are anti American and showing
- 47:35Speaker 2: they want to destroy this country. Pitiful and shameful.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Talk all you want. As long as they've got the
- 47:42Speaker 4: fellow bus there, they can stop it.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Texas, Fetterman was a really left candidate who had a
- 47:48Speaker 2: stroke and then went way right. What I get from
- 47:51Speaker 2: that is traumatic brain injuries cost conservatism.
- 47:53Speaker 4: There's no core, there is no court. That's a joke.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Okay, Texas. The King, Jefferies unknowingly admits to the quiet
- 48:00Speaker 2: part out loud. He said, Democrats are not going to
- 48:02Speaker 2: fund DHS, which funds TSA, unless Democrats are sure that
- 48:06Speaker 2: ICE will not monitor polling places. So the long lines
- 48:10Speaker 2: at airports be damned as long as the illegals get
- 48:12Speaker 2: to vote in our elections.
- 48:14Speaker 4: Well, I don't think ICE was going to monitor polling places.
- 48:19Speaker 4: I think that the ID would have would have made
- 48:25Speaker 4: it to where people had to certifice to who they were.
- 48:28Speaker 4: You know, down North Carolina, I have friends down there.
- 48:31Speaker 4: You don't need no id's vote down there.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Well, I mean in West Virginia you you have to
- 48:36Speaker 2: have an ID. But you know, there are so many
- 48:38Speaker 2: different things you can use as an ID, including TJ.
- 48:42Speaker 2: And I walk into the polling place and I say
- 48:45Speaker 2: I'll sign an affidavit that he's who he says he is.
- 48:49Speaker 2: And I and I think in their uh and don't
- 48:52Speaker 2: get me wrong, I'm one hundred percent for voter ID,
- 48:54Speaker 2: one hundred percent for it, okay, but I think in
- 48:57Speaker 2: their rush to pass something that they I talk to
- 49:00Speaker 2: legislator friend of mine, who's who we just wanted to
- 49:03Speaker 2: voter IDs. We put sixteen different things on it that
- 49:05Speaker 2: can that can passes as ID.
- 49:08Speaker 4: Twenty years ago, I didn't have my didn't have my license,
- 49:12Speaker 4: didn't have any ID, but I had a magazine.
- 49:16Speaker 1: With with my.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Picture on the cover, and that got me on the airp.
- 49:23Speaker 9: Wow.
- 49:25Speaker 4: The Mail did a story about it.
- 49:27Speaker 2: I'm him and he is me. Did you see the
- 49:30Speaker 2: totally unrelated to anything. Did you see the video they
- 49:33Speaker 2: released of you know, the singer Justin Timberlake who got
- 49:35Speaker 2: a dui and he's like, you know, for twenty years
- 49:39Speaker 2: he's Timberlake's been one of the most popular entertainers in
- 49:41Speaker 2: the world, actor and just everything. And he gets a
- 49:44Speaker 2: dui at the Hamptons and the cop had no idea
- 49:48Speaker 2: who he was. And he now, to his credit, he
- 49:51Speaker 2: didn't say I'm Justin Timberlake. He gave his name and said,
- 49:54Speaker 2: I just came off tour or whatever, and the cop
- 49:56Speaker 2: had no clue who he was. And I'm not laughing
- 49:59Speaker 2: at the situation. I just thought it was kind of funny.
- 50:01Speaker 2: You think you're a big deal and the biggest star
- 50:03Speaker 2: in the world or what of them, and the cop
- 50:05Speaker 2: had no clue.
- 50:06Speaker 4: What you hope is that people will notice, and they didn't.
- 50:10Speaker 4: Did they know? Did he get did he get charged?
- 50:12Speaker 1: He?
- 50:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he was. Yeah, he was charged and released. I
- 50:17Speaker 2: guess it's a misdemeanor because his first offense. I think
- 50:19Speaker 2: the cop was messing with him. I think the cop
- 50:21Speaker 2: knew who he was. Okay, but but I mean, I,
- 50:23Speaker 2: like I said, he didn't say you can't arrest me.
- 50:26Speaker 2: I'm justin to he did. Didn't do that at all.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Texas gas is still cheaper now than it was in
- 50:31Speaker 2: twenty twenty two.
- 50:33Speaker 4: Fair enough, Uh, Texas, that's not that's not a good threshold.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Texas. Trump is on the tube but begging Iran for
- 50:42Speaker 2: a deal. What a clown, And we're watching it right here.
- 50:45Speaker 2: He says that Iran was an eminent threat. Do you
- 50:47Speaker 2: think Iran was an eminent threat? Danny, Yeah, you think so?
- 50:51Speaker 2: I'm sure, Okay, sure do I think they always have been?
- 50:55Speaker 2: I think they have been for I think we should
- 50:58Speaker 2: have taken him out forty seven years ago. Go and
- 51:01Speaker 2: I think we should have taken them out while they
- 51:03Speaker 2: had their had our people in the EMPC. I think
- 51:06Speaker 2: we should have done it right then, you know, whatever
- 51:09Speaker 2: it took, take them out. And by the way, on
- 51:15Speaker 2: News Nation on.
- 51:15Speaker 4: Wednesday night at nine o'clock, Bill O'Reilly as a special
- 51:20Speaker 4: and it might be worthwhile.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Okay, I'll watch it, I'll tape it. Tex says, folks
- 51:27Speaker 2: at polling places papers please?
- 51:31Speaker 4: What's wrong with that?
- 51:33Speaker 5: Well?
- 51:33Speaker 2: I think the when you say papers please, it goes
- 51:35Speaker 2: to a totally different.
- 51:37Speaker 4: You know, when you're walking down the street, if a
- 51:40Speaker 4: police officer ask you for your license or your identification,
- 51:44Speaker 4: you don't have to give.
- 51:45Speaker 5: It, right.
- 51:46Speaker 2: I see these videos all the time of people that
- 51:50Speaker 2: pride themselves on if they get pulled over.
- 51:53Speaker 4: I'm not they're called First Amendment auditor.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:56Speaker 4: But the second thing is if a policeman pull ash
- 52:00Speaker 4: over and tell you you get out of.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Your car, get out of your car, I'm weird. I'm
- 52:05Speaker 2: gonna do what the cop asked me to. I know
- 52:07Speaker 2: I'm funny.
- 52:07Speaker 4: No, no, no, there's nothing wrong with that.
