- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hey, so Mark Simone show on sevent tenor.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Hey, it's Monday, it's beautiful outside. What a weekend with
- 0:15Speaker 3: that smoke and that those wildfires, That dirty, filthy air
- 0:21Speaker 3: has gone away. Hang on, let me check the AQI.
- 0:25Speaker 3: That's the air quality index fifty six. Okay, that's that's
- 0:29Speaker 3: not the greatest, but that's fine. Fifty six is fine.
- 0:32Speaker 3: It was up to two seventy at one point Thursday night.
- 0:36Speaker 3: It was really dangerous to be out there. Air quality
- 0:38Speaker 3: is better. You can go out. It's going to be
- 0:40Speaker 3: a beautiful sunny day, eighty degrees today. We'll get to
- 0:45Speaker 3: crazy Mom, Donnie his looney. He's going to arrest net
- 0:50Speaker 3: and Yahoo. Why that's absolutely impossible and how stupid he
- 0:54Speaker 3: is not to understand that. We'll get to that. Coming up.
- 0:57Speaker 3: We'll get to the World Cup, thank god it's over.
- 1:00Speaker 3: We'll get to President Trump, Canada, the wildfires, We'll get
- 1:04Speaker 3: to Iran. We'll get to crazy AOC speaking of crazy
- 1:09Speaker 3: Rosy O'Donnell is back in the United States all over
- 1:12Speaker 3: the place. Now, we'll get to Bill Maher and a
- 1:15Speaker 3: whole lot more coming up. So the wildfires coming from
- 1:19Speaker 3: Canada ruined a good part of the weekend for a
- 1:23Speaker 3: lot of people. It is not necessary to have these wildfires.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It can be prevented. Canada has these massive forests Northern Canada,
- 1:34Speaker 3: and they climate change nutjobs took over in Canada and
- 1:39Speaker 3: they stopped a few years ago doing forest management. If
- 1:44Speaker 3: you do the correct forest management, you don't have the
- 1:47Speaker 3: wildfires spread. You're always going to get them, but you
- 1:50Speaker 3: need to do certain This same thing happened in California.
- 1:52Speaker 3: If you stop the forest management, the fires go out
- 1:54Speaker 3: of control. Forest management is a couple of things. One
- 1:58Speaker 3: you clear the underbrush. The other is you cut these
- 2:01Speaker 3: burned paths through the forest. You cut these borders that'll
- 2:06Speaker 3: you know, you dig these trenches where they would stop
- 2:08Speaker 3: the fire from spreading. There's a bunch of things that
- 2:11Speaker 3: you do. But climate change nut jobs that got this
- 2:16Speaker 3: band in Canada. You're not allowed to do any forest maintenance. Now.
- 2:19Speaker 3: As a result, you get these wild, crazy forest fires
- 2:23Speaker 3: beyond anything we've ever seen, that can cover like half
- 2:26Speaker 3: the continent. And believe it or not, nothing causes more
- 2:32Speaker 3: carbon emission than a forest fire. A forest fire causes
- 2:37Speaker 3: more carbon emission than every car in the world. It
- 2:40Speaker 3: is the single most damaging thing to the climate. Yet
- 2:43Speaker 3: these climate activists, being nuts and never knowing what the
- 2:46Speaker 3: hell they're doing, have caused more forest fires than ever.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Now you know part of the province. You really need
- 2:52Speaker 3: to do this in Canada because their forests are so
- 2:56Speaker 3: out in the middle of nowhere. I mean, they're so
- 2:58Speaker 3: isolated that there's no roads, there's nobody near them, so
- 3:01Speaker 3: if the fire breaks out, it can take forever the
- 3:04Speaker 3: fire trucks to even get there. So you've got to
- 3:07Speaker 3: do this fire maintenance. The President has been threatening Canada
- 3:12Speaker 3: that they better start doing this or he's going to
- 3:15Speaker 3: tariff them to death. I mean, I know the climate
- 3:17Speaker 3: activists have control, but the government can do something. So
- 3:22Speaker 3: the President putting a lot of pressure on Canada.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Have a good relationship with Mark Karney.
- 3:27Speaker 5: But you know, we got to stop the fires up there.
- 3:30Speaker 3: If we can help them, will help them.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But maybe they should may us some damages or something,
- 3:35Speaker 2: or should do some tariffs.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah, probably a lot of people got very sick over
- 3:39Speaker 3: those forest fires. Hey, so this crazy mom Donnie, he's
- 3:43Speaker 3: going to arrest net in Yahoo, which is absolutely impossible,
- 3:47Speaker 3: can't be done. But he's just a complete child. It's
- 3:52Speaker 3: just a whining, crazy little child. He's doing this New
- 3:56Speaker 3: York Times interview and with this hair brain thing.
- 4:01Speaker 6: I believe that my mister Notto belongs to the Hague.
- 4:05Speaker 6: He's a war criminal who has been charged by the
- 4:09Speaker 6: International Criminal Court. And what you will find is that
- 4:13Speaker 6: as an opinion that is held by many purely because
- 4:16Speaker 6: of what his actions have wrought over these last many years.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Oh and he's really serious. He puts on that low voice. Now,
- 4:22Speaker 3: first of all, this is a child, This is a
- 4:24Speaker 3: little child. The International Criminal Court is not a real court.
- 4:28Speaker 3: It has absolutely no authority over anything. It's just a
- 4:32Speaker 3: little joke of a nothing. It's not a real court.
- 4:35Speaker 3: It was created in the nineties of something called the
- 4:38Speaker 3: Rome Statues, where a bunch of countries who hate America
- 4:41Speaker 3: form this fake court in the Hague in the Netherlands,
- 4:45Speaker 3: and they signed up for it. The United States does
- 4:48Speaker 3: not recognize it as a real court. It has absolutely
- 4:51Speaker 3: no authority of Most major countries do not recognize it
- 4:55Speaker 3: as a real court. It is not only recognized by
- 4:58Speaker 3: the United not recognized by the United but the leaders
- 5:00Speaker 3: of this International Criminal Court are banned from even entering
- 5:04Speaker 3: the United States. It's just a silly little joke. It's
- 5:08Speaker 3: a pretend fake court. It counts for absolutely nothing. But
- 5:12Speaker 3: this child thinks he was entitled in the international criminal court.
- 5:16Speaker 3: It sounds good, but it isn't anything. It has no authority. Uh,
- 5:20Speaker 3: there's no legal basis on earth for him to arrest
- 5:24Speaker 3: net Netna who's coming in September for the UN General Assembly,
- 5:28Speaker 3: which by the way, is covered by federal law. There's
- 5:32Speaker 3: federal laws that protect anybody attending that General Assembly, and
- 5:37Speaker 3: federal law always overrules local laws, so there's no way
- 5:40Speaker 3: to arrest him.
- 5:41Speaker 6: As mayor, New York City would arrest Benjamin Netanyah who
- 5:44Speaker 6: this is a city that our values are in line
- 5:46Speaker 6: with international law.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's time that our actions are also all right.
- 5:51Speaker 3: This is just a child who's never had a job
- 5:53Speaker 3: before and doesn't know anything about anything. If you were
- 5:58Speaker 3: to try even attempt to arrest, you know, he might
- 6:01Speaker 3: find himself under arrest federally and facing serious charges.
- 6:05Speaker 6: That's an active conversation with our legal department in seeing
- 6:09Speaker 6: what the prospects are we have here in our municipality. However,
- 6:13Speaker 6: what we've seen at the national level as a desire
- 6:15Speaker 6: sometimes to write your own laws to go outside of
- 6:17Speaker 6: the bounds of legality.
- 6:18Speaker 7: That's not something we have an interest in.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah, he's consulting with his legal department. Have you seen
- 6:23Speaker 3: his legal department? A bunch of socialist, left wing nutjobs.
- 6:27Speaker 3: That's his legal department. So we'll talk to Michael Goodman.
- 6:31Speaker 3: A little later. He wrote about this crazy mom Donnie nonsense,
- 6:36Speaker 3: just appealing to his crazy base. Hey, the World Cup
- 6:39Speaker 3: is over. I'm not a soccer fan, as you can tell.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I tried to watch it here and there, but it
- 6:47Speaker 3: was like forty two hours of no score. It just
- 6:49Speaker 3: went forever. Nobody scores. I see no score. I go
- 6:52Speaker 3: away for an hour, come back, no score. I go
- 6:56Speaker 3: away for another hour. I come back, no score. It's
- 7:00Speaker 3: the silliest sport in the world. Finally, it took like
- 7:06Speaker 3: three days for somebody to score something, and then the
- 7:09Speaker 3: game was over.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Orro chance to cross hooks it and Williams badly knocks
- 7:13Speaker 2: it down, it frey to go it fators.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Now I'm not a basketball fan either, but when
- 7:28Speaker 3: I started watching those Knicks playoffs, well that got pretty exciting.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And it's a scores like a ninety three. Wow, a
- 7:34Speaker 3: lot of scoring this thing. They play for days and
- 7:37Speaker 3: it's a zero to zero and then fifteen overtimes. Finally
- 7:41Speaker 3: there's one score. What kind of sport is this? And
- 7:44Speaker 3: they don't take enough breaks. It's it's not made for America.
- 7:48Speaker 3: They play forever without a break. You need those breaks
- 7:51Speaker 3: all over the world in Spain here obviously, listen to
- 7:53Speaker 3: Madrid all excited. All right, it's pretty bad, that's it.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I like their enthusiasm. And then I'm walking all over
- 8:16Speaker 3: New York after the game. Everybody's got those shirts on,
- 8:20Speaker 3: those jerseys with I saw thousands of them everywhere, but
- 8:26Speaker 3: it was the white one with the blue stripes. That's
- 8:27Speaker 3: the losing team, right, the red team, the red jersey,
- 8:31Speaker 3: they're the ones one Argentina. I only saw a few
- 8:34Speaker 3: of those, but I could see where they made a
- 8:37Speaker 3: fortunate time. I must have seen a thousand shirts out
- 8:39Speaker 3: there in the streets. So thank god it's over. Thank
- 8:42Speaker 3: god they're leaving. Will help you pack, just get the
- 8:45Speaker 3: hell out of here. Only you tourists. We love tourists.
- 8:48Speaker 3: They spent about two hundred million in New York over
- 8:51Speaker 3: the last couple of weeks. Okay, that's good, that's good.
- 8:54Speaker 3: That helps, But enough. If you can all leave now,
- 8:57Speaker 3: you can stop cloud up everything. In New York, President
- 9:01Speaker 3: Trump said he was there for the World Cup. Of course,
- 9:04Speaker 3: talked about how big the sport it was this year
- 9:07Speaker 3: in America.
- 9:07Speaker 4: But I'm proud to report it was more than six
- 9:10Speaker 4: point five million attendees.
- 9:12Speaker 1: This has been by far the most attended tournament in history.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Well, all right, you can't argue with that. You can't
- 9:19Speaker 3: argue with that, But I can't take that socker on
- 9:26Speaker 3: the halftime show. He got all these big names, and
- 9:29Speaker 3: yet it was something was wrong with that halftime show.
- 9:32Speaker 3: It got nothing but criticism all over the place. Every critic. Madonna,
- 9:37Speaker 3: who was lip syncing, flying around the stage. You got
- 9:39Speaker 3: a lip sync. It's easier that way. But the whole
- 9:42Speaker 3: thing was it was all great acts, but it didn't
- 9:44Speaker 3: make any sense. They just it wasn't It didn't flow.
- 9:49Speaker 3: The transitions weren't right. It was disjointed, but somehow it
- 9:51Speaker 3: didn't all go together. It just didn't work, one to
- 9:53Speaker 3: the other the other. And Justin Bieber, does he realize
- 9:58Speaker 3: there's like ten million people sitting there in this stadium.
- 10:01Speaker 3: You can't just do an acoustic guitar. You need to
- 10:03Speaker 3: make some noise. You're in a massive stadium filled with excitement.
- 10:07Speaker 3: You can't do a ballad. What the hell was that
- 10:08Speaker 3: guy thinking it was good? But these they're all good.
- 10:10Speaker 3: But nothing went with anything else great, but nothing flowed.
- 10:13Speaker 3: People were all criticizing the halftime show. Speaking of music,
- 10:17Speaker 3: you know who died, Freddie Cannon, who used to call
- 10:20Speaker 3: him Freddy Boom Boom Cannon. You know him from all
- 10:23Speaker 3: kinds of songs like Palisades Park. Well that was good
- 10:25Speaker 3: right over there, right across the river there in New Jersey.
- 10:28Speaker 3: It's now a bunch of high rises. I think Winston Towers.
- 10:32Speaker 3: I think is a couple of high rises. I think
- 10:34Speaker 3: that's where Palisades Park was. Freddy Cannon wrote it was
- 10:38Speaker 3: a big, huge hit. He had a lot of great songs.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Remember there was a Dick Clark show where the action
- 10:43Speaker 3: is It was like American Bandstand, but like out on
- 10:46Speaker 3: a beach, and the theme song by Freddy Cannon was
- 10:49Speaker 3: a huge hit from great guy. Now AOC everybody thinks
- 10:56Speaker 3: she's running for president because she's suddenly all over the country.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Remember one thing about these Democratic socialists, they're the phoniest
- 11:03Speaker 3: people in the world. Look at Bernie Sanders, multimillionaire, several houses, AOC,
- 11:11Speaker 3: private jets everywhere.
- 11:14Speaker 4: You know.
- 11:14Speaker 3: They preach all this stuff, but then they live very
- 11:19Speaker 3: very well. So as phony as they are, unless phony
- 11:22Speaker 3: as Democrats and Republicans too, but as phony as these
- 11:25Speaker 3: politicians can be. Hillary was famous for this, and Obama was,
- 11:30Speaker 3: you know, Obama when he was speaking up north sounded
- 11:34Speaker 3: like Demosthenes. When he'd beat down South, suddenly he'd sound
- 11:40Speaker 3: like a sharecropper.
- 11:41Speaker 8: He was.
- 11:42Speaker 3: And Hillary Clinton would do it. AOC does it. They
- 11:46Speaker 3: put on this fake Southern accent when they go to
- 11:48Speaker 3: the South. Listen to AOC from the Bronx, actually from
- 11:53Speaker 3: Yorktown Heights, but listen to AOC with her fake Southern accent.
- 11:57Speaker 9: We cannot afford to leave Tennessee behind behind. We cannot
- 12:03Speaker 9: afford to leave Kentucky behind, Alabama behind, Mississippi behind, Georgia
- 12:09Speaker 9: behind South Carolina behind.
- 12:13Speaker 3: It's unbelievable. How do they think they can get away
- 12:15Speaker 3: with this down there? And they're talking like this all
- 12:18Speaker 3: as soon as she gets back here? How are you
- 12:20Speaker 3: right back to the New York acts. But they think
- 12:24Speaker 3: they can get away with it. It's insane. It doesn't
- 12:27Speaker 3: make any sense. So, yeah, Rosie O'Donnell is back. I
- 12:31Speaker 3: don't know what the hell she's doing here. I thought
- 12:33Speaker 3: she left the country. She came back to fill in
- 12:37Speaker 3: for Jimmy Kimmel for a week. But she's doing a special,
- 12:41Speaker 3: she's doing something else. She's got another thing going on.
- 12:44Speaker 3: She's on Good Day in New York today, she's all
- 12:46Speaker 3: over TV. What the hell's she doing here? I thought
- 12:49Speaker 3: she was leaving. That's you know, She's like herpies. It
- 12:52Speaker 3: always comes back. You can't get rid of it. But hey,
- 12:55Speaker 3: we'll take some calls. Next to eight hundred three two
- 12:57Speaker 3: one zero seven ten is the number. Hey, congratulations Vice
- 13:02Speaker 3: President Vance. He and his wife Usha welcome their fourth child,
- 13:07Speaker 3: another boy, baby boy, fourth kids now and any congratulations.
- 13:12Speaker 3: We'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two
- 13:16Speaker 3: one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three
- 13:20Speaker 3: two one zero seven ten.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Live from the WR Life Back studio.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Stewart in
- 13:32Speaker 3: New Jersey. Stuart, how you doing.
- 13:34Speaker 10: Good morning?
- 13:34Speaker 11: Welcome.
- 13:35Speaker 10: I'm doing fine, Thank you. I just wanted to say
- 13:37Speaker 10: that that Palisade song was written actually by Chuck Barriss.
- 13:41Speaker 10: Of you know, the gun show fame.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Oh, you're right, Freddie Cannon a big, big hit with it.
- 13:46Speaker 3: You're right. Also was the other one I said, where
- 13:51Speaker 3: the action is actually written by Tommy Boyce. But great song.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Can you remember Palisades Park?
- 13:58Speaker 10: Oh sure, Well I'm from Brooklyn, but I live in
- 14:00Speaker 10: North Bergen now, so I had some friends out this way.
- 14:04Speaker 10: That's why I moved out here. But for sure Palisate
- 14:07Speaker 10: Plug definitely.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a little before my time. But what
- 14:10Speaker 3: what it was like? An amusement park? Right?
- 14:13Speaker 1: Cooney Island and cousin Brucey used to.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Do shows there, and a lot of big rock and
- 14:18Speaker 3: roll act should appear there. All right, thanks for calling.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 14:25Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark, that's Mike. I'm afraid the only thing
- 14:28Speaker 12: AOC has going for her is that you can't leave
- 14:31Speaker 12: her behind. But but but sorry, but Mandani makes me laugh.
- 14:37Speaker 12: You know, he wants to hold in bebing that in Yahoo,
- 14:40Speaker 12: but he won't arrest guys pushing people in front of
- 14:42Speaker 12: subways or twelve blocks of homeless degenerates and drug addicts
- 14:47Speaker 12: on you know, by the intrepid in their tense city.
- 14:49Speaker 12: You know, so it's a it's really interesting that he
- 14:52Speaker 12: can marshal all these forces to go after one state leader.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Yeah. No, that's a good point. That's the first person
- 14:59Speaker 3: ever that he would is actually going to arrest, and
- 15:01Speaker 3: it's bb net Yahoo. But thanks for calling. He can't
- 15:04Speaker 3: arrest net Nyahoo. And there's no such thing as international law.
- 15:08Speaker 3: It's just something people say. It doesn't really exist, and
- 15:11Speaker 3: the International Criminal Court is not a real court. It's
- 15:14Speaker 3: not recognized by the United States. In fact, the leaders
- 15:17Speaker 3: of it aren't even allowed to enter the United States.
- 15:20Speaker 3: It was actually created by a bunch of left wing
- 15:22Speaker 3: kooks to do stuff like this, to be left wing kookie.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Arrest netnyah, who arrest Americans, arrest a president, arrest our troops.
- 15:31Speaker 3: That's it was created for that purpose, which is why
- 15:33Speaker 3: most countries don't recognize it as anything real. Let's go
- 15:38Speaker 3: to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich how you doing Hey?
- 15:42Speaker 5: Thanks Mark, like you, I didn't watch Good Morning, Vincent,
- 15:45Speaker 5: good morning saying.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Ye no no, no more saying good morning to other
- 15:48Speaker 3: callers people. It annoys the audience. We get some We
- 15:51Speaker 3: got more complaints about that than anything.
- 15:53Speaker 5: Else, like soul was Zudo on his birthdays when he
- 15:57Speaker 5: was a Yankee announcer. Yes, the yeah, you know the
- 16:01Speaker 5: like you the World Cup. I didn't watch any of
- 16:03Speaker 5: it at all until yesterday. I knew Trump was going
- 16:07Speaker 5: to hand out the trophy. And like that caller said
- 16:09Speaker 5: last week, that is the ugliest, smallest trophy for the
- 16:12Speaker 5: biggest thing in sports. This should be big, like the
- 16:14Speaker 5: Stanley Cup or something. So I'm watching this for an
- 16:17Speaker 5: hour just waiting for Trump to come out to hand
- 16:19Speaker 5: out the trophy. Nobody scores, they had extra time, nobody scores.
- 16:23Speaker 5: Then the game's over, and then they got extra time
- 16:26Speaker 5: they didn't know about from injuries or something like that,
- 16:28Speaker 5: and finally the guys scored. It's like the worst hour
- 16:31Speaker 5: of my life. I'm never going to get back.
- 16:34Speaker 3: That's true. All right, thanks for calling. Yeah, it is
- 16:36Speaker 3: a tiny trophy. They should let Trump design the trophy.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Then it'd be like fourteen feet high, it'd be twelve
- 16:42Speaker 3: feet wide. You'd see some real gold all over it.
- 16:45Speaker 3: What is this? It's just this wireless caller. Let's go
- 16:48Speaker 3: to line four, Line four, How you doing all right?
- 16:51Speaker 8: Mark? And eighty five percent? That's the Buchanan guys, immigrants
- 16:58Speaker 8: eighty five percent? Why are they blamed college kids?
- 17:00Speaker 4: Four?
- 17:01Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, are you going to do your Buchanan things?
- 17:04Speaker 8: Eighty five percent of the people voted for Mommy com
- 17:06Speaker 8: are immigrants. They're not college kids that voted.
- 17:09Speaker 3: We heard that like the fourth time you said that.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Are you going to do the Buchanan thing?
- 17:13Speaker 11: No?
- 17:13Speaker 7: No, no, but I'll tell you something.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Walk with the Soka.
- 17:16Speaker 11: You on the money man?
- 17:18Speaker 3: All right? Well, I don't know what you're on, but uh,
- 17:20Speaker 3: I hope you're brought enough for everybody. Anyway, thanks for call.
- 17:24Speaker 3: What happened? All the calls, all the lines were full,
- 17:26Speaker 3: they all just went dead. We got eight hundred three
- 17:29Speaker 3: to two one zero seven ten. Is the number? Eight
- 17:32Speaker 3: hundred three two one zero seven ten. So, uh yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 3: the World Cup is over. They're all going home now.
- 17:41Speaker 3: You might still see those jerseys all over the place,
- 17:45Speaker 3: but they should be leaving and get the hell out
- 17:48Speaker 3: of here. Let's go to uh well, we'll just go
- 17:51Speaker 3: to this. Let's go to line too. Are you there?
- 17:55Speaker 3: Are you there? Nope? Lost? Something's going on with the
- 17:57Speaker 3: phones where people are calling and then all sudden the
- 18:00Speaker 3: call just vanishes, just goes away. Hey, there was a
- 18:04Speaker 3: history was made, a major moment in history on Friday.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I think it's up on my Twitter if you want
- 18:12Speaker 3: to go look at it. Chuck Schumer is leaving Congress
- 18:15Speaker 3: and there's reporters out there and they remember he farted.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I mean, it was a big incident last week. Loud
- 18:21Speaker 3: fart from Chuck Schumer right on the floor of the Senate.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Even he laughed about it. So the reporter starts to
- 18:28Speaker 3: ask him about it, and nobody has ever seen this
- 18:31Speaker 3: ever before in history. Schumer actually runs away from a
- 18:35Speaker 3: TV camera. It's a reporter and a camera. Schumer turns
- 18:40Speaker 3: and runs. Here's the guy who always runs towards the
- 18:44Speaker 3: camera actually fleeing in panic. It was great to see.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Let's go to Bob in Montville, New Jersey. Bob, how
- 18:51Speaker 3: you doing.
- 18:53Speaker 7: Hanging in there?
- 18:53Speaker 3: Mark? Thanks to taking a call.
- 18:55Speaker 13: But I think we've got to hold off on all
- 18:57Speaker 13: the money and the hooplah from the s for stuff
- 19:00Speaker 13: because Mickey Cheryl, they're crunching the numbers in New Jersey here,
- 19:05Speaker 13: you know NJT. I think lost the bundle and you
- 19:09Speaker 13: know all the old the time too, So yeah, that
- 19:11Speaker 13: could be going to be a net loss. For us
- 19:13Speaker 13: all here, but good for some of the merchants.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Yeah, no, a lot of money come in. You know
- 19:17Speaker 3: what the craziest thing is, it's a big, huge field,
- 19:21Speaker 3: the soccer field. So they've decided they will cut up
- 19:24Speaker 3: the grass from the field, the soil, and they will
- 19:27Speaker 3: cut it into small, tiny cubes and sell it pieces
- 19:32Speaker 3: of the actual field. Apparently the field is so big
- 19:34Speaker 3: if you cut it up into tiny cubes, you get
- 19:37Speaker 3: thousands and thousands or maybe tens of thousands of them,
- 19:40Speaker 3: and they're expected to rake in millions. They think they
- 19:43Speaker 3: could even make I don't know, some crazy number like
- 19:45Speaker 3: twenty million off the field selling the soil. So the
- 19:49Speaker 3: governor New Jersey, Mikey Cheryl, is demanding a cut of that.
- 19:54Speaker 3: She has a point, and I think you should ask
- 19:56Speaker 3: the New York Giants, isn't it their stadium? If you're
- 20:00Speaker 3: up the field and take it away. Let's go to
- 20:03Speaker 3: Paul in White Plains. Paul, how you doing.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Mark, I'm doing well, thank you. I'd like you to
- 20:09Speaker 5: explain something. How come every day I turn on the
- 20:13Speaker 5: news and they say they have obliterated Rand's missile capability.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Well, I don't think it, Baseiver said they obliterated, they
- 20:22Speaker 3: said they It was the word they used, diminished it. Obviously,
- 20:25Speaker 3: you can't get it all at once, but over a
- 20:28Speaker 3: number of days you can get it. So it'll take
- 20:30Speaker 3: a while. They do replenish those supplies, and they have
- 20:33Speaker 3: some buried underground that they bring up. But every we've
- 20:36Speaker 3: been hitting them harder than ever the last few nights,
- 20:38Speaker 3: so we have taken away a lot of it. But
- 20:40Speaker 3: you can't do it all in one night. That's impossible.
- 20:43Speaker 3: But thanks for calling. Let's go to Ed in Pennsylvania.
- 20:46Speaker 6: Ed.
- 20:46Speaker 3: How you doing pretty good?
- 20:48Speaker 8: Mark, Thanks for taking my call. I too, watched the game,
- 20:52Speaker 8: and one thing that impressed me very much was when
- 20:55Speaker 8: when Argentina and Spain did their national anthems, how the
- 20:58Speaker 8: athletes sang it like full throated, knew the words actually,
- 21:02Speaker 8: and it look fairly clean cut on like say the
- 21:05Speaker 8: Major League Baseball or NFL type thing when they pay
- 21:07Speaker 8: the players. I was pretty impressed with that, the fact
- 21:10Speaker 8: that they actually knew their national anthem saying it.
- 21:13Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 8: Oh, that was one positive thing.
- 21:15Speaker 3: That's a good point. We could use all We could
- 21:16Speaker 3: use more of that here, good point. Thanks for calling. Hey,
- 21:19Speaker 3: when we come back, the best columnists in the world.
- 21:22Speaker 3: We'll talk to Michael Goodwin next on seven to ten
- 21:25Speaker 3: w R.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Let's get back to the Mark Simone Show on wor.
- 21:33Speaker 11: Well.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Michael Goodwin the best columnist in America. You're can read
- 21:36Speaker 3: them every Sunday and every Wednesday in the New York
- 21:40Speaker 3: Post and all of his columns are up on the
- 21:41Speaker 3: New York Post website. You can read them anytime. Michael Goodwin,
- 21:44Speaker 3: how you.
- 21:45Speaker 7: Doing, Good morning, Mark?
- 21:47Speaker 11: Thank you?
- 21:48Speaker 7: Hey.
- 21:49Speaker 3: The mayor are crazy? Mayor saying he's going to arrest
- 21:52Speaker 3: Benjamin Nett and yahuo. What does that tell us that
- 21:54Speaker 3: he's delusional, that he's just a child? What do you
- 21:57Speaker 3: make of that?
- 21:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's all the above, But it's also
- 22:03Speaker 4: a political play. Is this is red meeat for his
- 22:09Speaker 4: core supporters? Of course, much of his appeal to them
- 22:14Speaker 4: is based on hating Israel, And so what I think
- 22:19Speaker 4: Nathan Yahoo, of course, has they come to face for
- 22:23Speaker 4: the haters?
- 22:24Speaker 7: And if he could do anything to bring.
- 22:28Speaker 4: That Yahoo down, to embarrass him, to see him in
- 22:32Speaker 4: a purk lalk, he would love that.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Uh.
- 22:36Speaker 7: Fortunately it's not going to happen.
- 22:40Speaker 4: In the International Criminal Court that indicted him is not
- 22:47Speaker 4: relevant in the United States. We do not subscribe to
- 22:50Speaker 4: its authority. We are not members of it, so that's
- 22:55Speaker 4: not going to happen. But Mamdani, that's why I think
- 22:58Speaker 4: he's just throwing out.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Need Yeah, he wrote, yes, it's come the jd Vance interview,
- 23:07Speaker 3: which shocked a lot of people with the Rogan it's
- 23:11Speaker 3: kind of going off the reservation from the Trump administration especially,
- 23:15Speaker 3: is what seemed like anti Israel stuff. What do you
- 23:18Speaker 3: think is that's all about?
- 23:20Speaker 7: Well, that's a good question, mark. I'm not sure.
- 23:24Speaker 4: I don't think it was in any way a message
- 23:28Speaker 4: from the administration. I think it was a much more
- 23:32Speaker 4: personal revelation about what's on JD. Vance's mind. It wasn't
- 23:38Speaker 4: very impressive. I thought he was smarter than that, and
- 23:43Speaker 4: I was very disappointed to see his contempt for is
- 23:47Speaker 4: surreal and his lack of understanding, frankly, of what's going
- 23:52Speaker 4: on in Lebanon.
- 23:54Speaker 11: Now.
- 23:55Speaker 4: I gave it that he is now conducting the negotiations
- 23:58Speaker 4: with Iron, but to basically say Israel and Hezebela is
- 24:06Speaker 4: a chicken and egg thing is It's It's childish, of course,
- 24:11Speaker 4: but it's stupid, it's uninformed. Hezbe Lah was created by
- 24:18Speaker 4: Ron and placed in Lebanon to help eliminate Israel. And
- 24:26Speaker 4: so when you're telling Israel you can't attack, he can't
- 24:30Speaker 4: attack Hezbelah during the ceasefire between America and I Ran,
- 24:36Speaker 4: you're basically doing Ron's bitty for it. And I think
- 24:40Speaker 4: that's what Israel was not happy with that agreement, in
- 24:45Speaker 4: the sense that it effectively gave Hasbula time to regroup
- 24:50Speaker 4: and recover and even carry out at Jack's and tied
- 24:55Speaker 4: Israel's hands. And I think that was one big issue.
- 24:59Speaker 4: Mark his comments on Jeffrey Epstein, again accusing suggesting that
- 25:07Speaker 4: Epstein was a Mossad agent, that he had higher up
- 25:12Speaker 4: relations in American intelligence, none of which has ever been proved.
- 25:18Speaker 4: So I'm not sure where he's getting his ideas. I'll
- 25:21Speaker 4: make you stand up too late reading the dark web.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Well, Epstein's lawyer at the time was Alan Dershwitz, and
- 25:28Speaker 3: he said there was absolutely no connection with the Mesado
- 25:30Speaker 3: or the CIA. If there had been one, they would
- 25:33Speaker 3: have used it to negotiate a better deal for you.
- 25:37Speaker 4: That's right.
- 25:37Speaker 7: He wouldn't have died in prison.
- 25:39Speaker 3: So what do you think that is doing? People thought
- 25:41Speaker 3: of him as the front runner for twenty twenty eight,
- 25:43Speaker 3: and now he sounds like a little Tucker Carlson ish.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Do you think he's thinking that's the path for twenty
- 25:50Speaker 3: twenty eight to break away and do that kind of nonsense?
- 25:54Speaker 7: Well, it could be byke.
- 25:56Speaker 4: I mean right, he is here so far leading in
- 25:59Speaker 4: the pole, narrowly over Marco Rubio to win their twenty
- 26:04Speaker 4: twenty eight Republican nomination.
- 26:07Speaker 7: I think that this kind.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Of interview will drive a wedge between him and much
- 26:14Speaker 4: of the Trump base. And he mentioned Tucker Carlson, who
- 26:20Speaker 4: has broken with Trump, and of course I think Tucker
- 26:25Speaker 4: is not like he's come out of the closet as
- 26:28Speaker 4: an angie semi. And I think that Vance is very
- 26:33Speaker 4: close to Tucker. Is Tucker's son worked for Dvance until
- 26:38Speaker 4: just recently in the VP of US. So it is,
- 26:44Speaker 4: as I say in my column, a friend of mine
- 26:47Speaker 4: who was a friend of Vance's and helped him in
- 26:51Speaker 4: all his campaigns, he's appalled by what's been happening for him.
- 26:58Speaker 7: It started several months ago.
- 27:01Speaker 4: And he's actually alerted me to that, and I said,
- 27:04Speaker 4: I didn't see anything like that, but I certainly stand corrected.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Now he think this is the beginning of the end
- 27:13Speaker 3: of the nuttiness of the Democrats. I know, you got
- 27:15Speaker 3: the fetterman finally speaking out. Even Bill Maher in an
- 27:19Speaker 3: NPR interview said, if they keep this up, I'm going
- 27:22Speaker 3: to vote for a Republican in twenty twenty eight. So
- 27:25Speaker 3: you think maybe it might wake up the leadership to
- 27:28Speaker 3: clean up their mess there, Well.
- 27:31Speaker 7: I ain't.
- 27:32Speaker 4: The problem, Mark, ultimately is that the leadership has no power,
- 27:36Speaker 4: or has therened limited power anymore. I mean Chuck Tremer
- 27:41Speaker 4: and King Jeffries are scoffed at by the socialist Democrats.
- 27:47Speaker 4: I mean here you have a Democratic mayor of New York,
- 27:51Speaker 4: a socialist, and you're the leader of the Democrats in
- 27:56Speaker 4: the House and the Senate, both in Brooklyn.
- 28:00Speaker 7: I don't think Mandanni.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Has a relationship with either one of them, and neither
- 28:05Speaker 4: have they supported him nor denounced him. So they don't
- 28:12Speaker 4: really have any power over this new breed of socialist
- 28:16Speaker 4: democrat Mondani. That's really Mandannie the wing of the party,
- 28:21Speaker 4: and it's growing fast than the rest of the party.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, it's got to end at some point. This
- 28:28Speaker 3: has happened before in democratic world, where they go too
- 28:30Speaker 3: far left and then Bill Clinton emerges that type and
- 28:34Speaker 3: leads them back to the center.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Is there time for That's a very that's a very
- 28:38Speaker 4: good point mark about what Bill Clinton did to the
- 28:42Speaker 4: Democrats in ninety two. You're right, and I think a
- 28:48Speaker 4: lot of people have been looking for the next Bill
- 28:51Speaker 4: Clinton for a while. Instead we're getting quite we're getting
- 28:55Speaker 4: moving further left rather than toward the center with the
- 29:00Speaker 4: core energy of the party.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Well, if you're looking for another Bill Clinton, how about Fetterman?
- 29:06Speaker 3: If you would go out and buy a suit maybe yeah,
- 29:10Speaker 3: you know, I.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Think the amazing thing would be marked if Fetterman would
- 29:14Speaker 4: actually leave the party and join the GOP and the Senate.
- 29:18Speaker 4: That would that I think would be a real warning.
- 29:22Speaker 4: And don't forget too like some of those centers. Uh
- 29:27Speaker 4: you know, we're not even Democrats, they're independents and things
- 29:31Speaker 4: like that. Bernie Sanders mansion was it was it independent
- 29:37Speaker 4: Christian cinema Bally, So there were a lot of August
- 29:40Speaker 4: King in Maine.
- 29:41Speaker 7: It's not a Democrat.
- 29:43Speaker 4: So the party is actually quite small, but it counts
- 29:46Speaker 4: on those non Democrats the caucus with them to give
- 29:50Speaker 4: them all the roads. So if Fedderman would break the ice.
- 29:54Speaker 7: That would be something, Yeah, it'd be interesting.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Well, Michael Goodwin, great column. You can read Michael Goodwin's
- 30:00Speaker 3: column every Sunday and every Wednesday. And if you missed
- 30:02Speaker 3: a name, they're up on the New York Post website.
- 30:04Speaker 3: You can go there and read them. Michael Goodwin, thanks
- 30:07Speaker 3: for being with.
- 30:07Speaker 7: Us, Mike Pleasure, Mark, thank you.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Take care. Hey. Coming up at noon, Buck Sexton and
- 30:14Speaker 3: Klay Travis. They do a real good show every day
- 30:17Speaker 3: from noon to three. Then at three o'clock you got
- 30:20Speaker 3: the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity.
- 30:24Speaker 3: You got Jesse Kelly every night at six, and Jimmy Fayla.
- 30:27Speaker 3: What a funny show, interesting, hysterical sometimes Jimmy Taylor every
- 30:32Speaker 3: night nine to midnight. Right here on seven ten WR
- 30:37Speaker 3: seven wrs.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Mark Simone show continues.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Now, well, you know somebody's going to be the next
- 30:46Speaker 3: governor of California and they're gonna have a problem. They
- 30:49Speaker 3: got to get rid of this Gavin Newsome executive order
- 30:53Speaker 3: which he signed. It bans the sale of gas powered
- 30:56Speaker 3: cars by two thousand and thirty five. In other words,
- 31:01Speaker 3: you'd have to have an electric car. You couldn't drive
- 31:03Speaker 3: a gas car. Well, actually, I guess you could drive it,
- 31:06Speaker 3: but you couldn't sell it. But that would put most
- 31:08Speaker 3: dealers out of business. And when you say twenty thirty five,
- 31:12Speaker 3: that sounds so far in the future. It sounds like
- 31:15Speaker 3: the Jetsons. But if you think about it, it's only
- 31:19Speaker 3: nine years away. That's just nine years from now. And
- 31:22Speaker 3: most car dealers sell gas powered cars. They don't sell
- 31:25Speaker 3: electric cars. You know, in a lot of the car
- 31:28Speaker 3: companies have stopped with the electric cars. BMW just stopped
- 31:31Speaker 3: making electric cars. They'll make hybrids, but that's it, and
- 31:35Speaker 3: GM forward all of them are going to hybrids and
- 31:38Speaker 3: not electric cars. They got all kinds of problems with
- 31:41Speaker 3: electric cars, and the biggest one is the public doesn't
- 31:44Speaker 3: buy them. So it's a problem. You know, evs have
- 31:48Speaker 3: a shorter range, it takes forever to charge. You know,
- 31:52Speaker 3: let's say you pull a no gas station, I'll have
- 31:53Speaker 3: it take you to fill up a minute, two minutes.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Ev you're gonna be in that gas station for a
- 31:59Speaker 3: half hour. Great for the gas station. They can sell
- 32:02Speaker 3: you stuff. But so whoever, the next governor has got
- 32:06Speaker 3: to get rid of that ban on gas powered cars
- 32:09Speaker 3: because it's twenty thirty five, just a few years away.
- 32:14Speaker 3: It's gonna beautiful today, a nice, beautiful sunny day. Air
- 32:17Speaker 3: quality is much much, much much better. It's safe to
- 32:19Speaker 3: go out. We got another hour to go and a
- 32:22Speaker 3: lot coming up. In the next hour. We'll get to
- 32:24Speaker 3: the election, Save America Act and more. Just ahead, Mark
- 32:29Speaker 3: Simone here every day ten to noon on seven to
- 32:32Speaker 3: ten WR.
- 32:33Speaker 2: The Mark Simone Show on seventor.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Well, it's gonna be a beautiful day today. Price of
- 32:41Speaker 3: oil up, a little, stock market down, a little price
- 32:45Speaker 3: of oil up to eighty two dollars a barrel, all right,
- 32:50Speaker 3: that's up from uh it was down around sixty eight
- 32:52Speaker 3: to seventy. But it's just like last time, temporary spike.
- 32:56Speaker 3: It'll come down. We are bombing the hell out of
- 32:58Speaker 3: Iran every night.
- 32:59Speaker 7: Now.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Iranians killed two US troops over the weekend. One more.
- 33:05Speaker 3: That brings it up to three. You'll hear the newest
- 33:08Speaker 3: media talk about this day and night. Three dead. You know,
- 33:11Speaker 3: overall in the war, six seven dead, and they'll make
- 33:15Speaker 3: a big deal out of that.
- 33:17Speaker 11: Now.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Got to remember during the Biden Afghanistan withdrawal, thirteen US
- 33:22Speaker 3: soldiers were killed. Do you know that during the Obama administration.
- 33:25Speaker 3: How many US soldiers you think were killed during the
- 33:28Speaker 3: Obama administration twenty three hundred, twenty three hundred, no mention
- 33:34Speaker 3: by the media. Not a big deal to them. So
- 33:39Speaker 3: but Iran not only that, but the warning people they
- 33:43Speaker 3: stay away from US bases. They're making all kinds of threats. Now,
- 33:47Speaker 3: Iranians missil and drone attacks, stuck a struck, a nuclear
- 33:53Speaker 3: or a power and water distillation plant in Kuwait. That's
- 33:56Speaker 3: very important. These water distillation plants that the world key
- 34:00Speaker 3: source of drinking water in Kuwait, which is a tiny nation.
- 34:04Speaker 3: So they did hit that. That was pretty strategic. Iran
- 34:08Speaker 3: is telling its own citizens turn off the air conditioner
- 34:11Speaker 3: to preserve the power grid. I think it's hot here.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Try Iran telling people turn off the AC They blame
- 34:19Speaker 3: US strikes for the string. Now, of course they are
- 34:22Speaker 3: threatening President Trump like crazy. They even have billboards now
- 34:26Speaker 3: threatening Trump that they're going to kill him his family.
- 34:30Speaker 3: This is pretty serious stuff. Can you imagine why would
- 34:34Speaker 3: he even take this job? Now you got Iran threatening
- 34:37Speaker 3: you now, he said, suddenly like a salmon rushdie. There's
- 34:41Speaker 3: a giant poster in the middle of Tehran calling for
- 34:45Speaker 3: the death of Trump. They're all over the place. Another one,
- 34:50Speaker 3: Oh God, has headshots of members of the Trump family,
- 34:52Speaker 3: including Milania, Avanka Don Junior, on top of coffins draped
- 34:58Speaker 3: with US flag. I mean, this is just awful. They're
- 35:02Speaker 3: also threatening. Well, they actually said Trump is the next
- 35:07Speaker 3: one after the death of regime critic Lindsey Graham. So
- 35:13Speaker 3: does that mean they're implying that they had something to
- 35:16Speaker 3: do with his death if they somehow caused it or
- 35:19Speaker 3: poisoned him or something. So crazy Democrats have got to
- 35:25Speaker 3: do something about their party being taken over by nutjob socialists.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Who's going to stand up to them? Well, Fetterman has
- 35:33Speaker 3: been pretty good. You know, when Mamdanie made these ridiculous, silly,
- 35:39Speaker 3: childish comments about I'm going to arrest net Nya, who
- 35:42Speaker 3: would just nonsense, ridiculous stuff. He can't arrest netaniah. And
- 35:46Speaker 3: there's no such law the internet. He violated international law.
- 35:49Speaker 3: There's no such thing. And the International Criminal Court in
- 35:53Speaker 3: the Hague is just a silly little thing. It's not
- 35:56Speaker 3: a real court. It's not even recognized by the United States.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Their leaders are not not even allowed in the United States.
- 36:01Speaker 3: It's just a joke. But the one Democrat really stood
- 36:05Speaker 3: up to Mamdannie was Fetterman given credit.
- 36:07Speaker 14: It's such a tough guy to say that kind of thing.
- 36:09Speaker 14: He has no way to do that. Of course, obviously
- 36:13Speaker 14: America is not even part of that corrupt court, and
- 36:17Speaker 14: so he's just a clown to even say that.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Yeah, this International Criminal Court is a left wing kook court.
- 36:25Speaker 3: Follow it was founded by a bunch of Mom Donnie
- 36:27Speaker 3: types to go after America. And that's why America doesn't
- 36:31Speaker 3: recognize it, doesn't submit to it, and most major nations
- 36:35Speaker 3: don't recognize the ic CS. Not not a real court.
- 36:39Speaker 3: But good for Fetterman. And he's the guy taking on
- 36:42Speaker 3: the Democrat. He's the Democrat trying to wake up his party.
- 36:45Speaker 14: If our party ever becomes and just make it official
- 36:50Speaker 14: as the anti Israel party. You know, that's when I
- 36:54Speaker 14: would leave because that's been a moral.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Clarity for me. Yeah, it's just it's ridiculous. And Bill
- 37:01Speaker 3: Maher give Bill Maher credit for standing up to the
- 37:05Speaker 3: crazy Democrats. In fact, mar in an interview, said they've
- 37:11Speaker 3: embraced a level of nuttiness, of nutty stuff that makes
- 37:14Speaker 3: him open to voting. He says, for jd Vance In
- 37:17Speaker 3: twenty twenty eight, he said the party is being taken over.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Every day I hear about a new very radical guy.
- 37:25Speaker 3: I can't sit and just not notice stuff which people
- 37:29Speaker 3: seem to want to do because it's all about my team,
- 37:32Speaker 3: your team. But it's some crazy stuff. And when they're
- 37:35Speaker 3: cheering for the Intifada, I'm out. So Noah and he says,
- 37:40Speaker 3: I'm not living in communist America. I know that the
- 37:43Speaker 3: talking point is that it's not communism, it's socialism. But
- 37:47Speaker 3: when they're talking about taking over key industries, it's communism.
- 37:52Speaker 3: There's the definition. So even Mar standing up to them,
- 37:56Speaker 3: good for him. But he had a lot of interviews.
- 38:00Speaker 3: The reason is he's got the Mark Twain Award. It's
- 38:02Speaker 3: a big deal, the Mark Twain Award for Bill Maher.
- 38:05Speaker 15: There aren't a lot of awards for comedy and it's
- 38:08Speaker 15: pretty overlooked like in movies. But for what I do,
- 38:13Speaker 15: it's yes, the award I think to get. And again
- 38:19Speaker 15: there's not many for this particular brand of show business.
- 38:23Speaker 3: So I was very grateful. Yeah, so they call it
- 38:27Speaker 3: the Nobel Prize of Comedy. Good for Mar. He also
- 38:32Speaker 3: good for him, he's doing an NPR interview, and he
- 38:34Speaker 3: went after NPR, calling it an extreme far left outlet,
- 38:40Speaker 3: and of course the NPR host you know, they always
- 38:42Speaker 3: whispered his NPR hosts, they always talk like this, And
- 38:46Speaker 3: he said, I think you'd be surprised at how diverse
- 38:51Speaker 3: we are. I'd be stunned. I'd be shocked if you
- 38:54Speaker 3: were diverse. But he really told them off right on
- 38:59Speaker 3: NPR good and he said, start engaging with the argument.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Stop attacking the Republicans, engage with the argument. Hey. Also
- 39:09Speaker 3: he defended Louis c k who, of course was canceled,
- 39:17Speaker 3: and it was pretty disgusting. He was, you know, would
- 39:20Speaker 3: get a woman into his hotel room usually somebody's working
- 39:22Speaker 3: with or something, or get him into his office and
- 39:26Speaker 3: then he would remove his pants and masturbate in front
- 39:32Speaker 3: of them. Now I don't get this fetish at all.
- 39:34Speaker 3: I mean, he did it a couple of times. That's
- 39:36Speaker 3: why I got canceled. I mean, if you're going to
- 39:39Speaker 3: do that, you really can do it by yourself. Has
- 39:42Speaker 3: he ever heard of porn? I mean, you don't need
- 39:45Speaker 3: to have an actual person in the room. And the
- 39:47Speaker 3: strange part is he wouldn't just pull down his pants
- 39:50Speaker 3: he would take them off, fold them, drape them over
- 39:53Speaker 3: the chair. It's just insane. So I guess he deserved it.
- 39:58Speaker 3: I mean, that's disgusting to be ostricide. But Bill Maher
- 40:01Speaker 3: is arguing, and he has a point here. He said
- 40:06Speaker 3: he might have done enough show business jail time. He
- 40:09Speaker 3: understands canceling him. Understands you go to show business jail,
- 40:13Speaker 3: but he said, like regular jail, there's got to be
- 40:16Speaker 3: a limit. You know, this is not life in prison
- 40:19Speaker 3: for this. He said, this should be like a ten
- 40:21Speaker 3: year punishment. He said, it's been ten years for this guy.
- 40:24Speaker 3: That's enough for this kind of crime. You wouldn't get life,
- 40:27Speaker 3: you'd get ten years in jail. So he's saying, after
- 40:30Speaker 3: a few years, let him out of show biz jail.
- 40:34Speaker 3: He said, you know, he's got a very popular podcast
- 40:38Speaker 3: in a popular HBO show, and he said he brought
- 40:41Speaker 3: back people. He brought Kevin Spacey back and Woody Allen,
- 40:44Speaker 3: and he's invited Louis c k to come to this
- 40:48Speaker 3: Mark Twain Awards. So he's got a point. I mean,
- 40:51Speaker 3: I understand canceling the guy, but it doesn't have to
- 40:55Speaker 3: be permanent, just like sending somebody to jail. You could
- 40:57Speaker 3: send him for life, you could send him for for
- 40:59Speaker 3: two years, five years. So good point. You know, Lindsey Graham,
- 41:06Speaker 3: his sister has replaced him in the Senate and now
- 41:10Speaker 3: this is the temporary appointment. The election elections in November,
- 41:15Speaker 3: but the governor points somebody to fill the seat till January.
- 41:20Speaker 3: But President Trump surprised everybody urging Lindsey Graham's sister to
- 41:24Speaker 3: run in November. He said, there's nobody better. He said,
- 41:29Speaker 3: he met with her. She came to meet with President Trump,
- 41:31Speaker 3: and he asked her for the good of the nation,
- 41:34Speaker 3: to run for the US Senate in the real election
- 41:37Speaker 3: coming up. He said, I hope she does. This is
- 41:40Speaker 3: nobody better. Now, she's married, she's a family. I don't
- 41:44Speaker 3: know what she wants to do. I don't know if
- 41:46Speaker 3: it's something that she wants, but he's asking her to run.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Pretty interesting. Tom Holman saying, now, when it comes to
- 41:55Speaker 3: ice agents, the problem is everybody wanted to have body cameras,
- 41:59Speaker 3: but you got you know, there's a thousands of ice agents.
- 42:01Speaker 3: It's a lot of body cameras, and you got to
- 42:03Speaker 3: have a little training to wear it. So it takes
- 42:05Speaker 3: time to get them all, every one of them wired up.
- 42:08Speaker 3: But what Holman's doing is they work in teams, so
- 42:12Speaker 3: he wants at least one person on every team to
- 42:14Speaker 3: have the body cam so people can see what happened
- 42:19Speaker 3: in these incidents. Hey, is this sleazy or nutsleezy? President
- 42:24Speaker 3: Trump has his own Twitter. It's called truth Social. He
- 42:28Speaker 3: started it now. Actually at this point he owns I
- 42:31Speaker 3: think fifty three percent of it, so it's not all him,
- 42:35Speaker 3: but it's his own truth Social. And he came out
- 42:40Speaker 3: with this thing yesterday they had launched or over the weekend.
- 42:43Speaker 3: If you're a big company or a business or whoever,
- 42:46Speaker 3: you're a hedge fund, you can pay a monthly fee
- 42:49Speaker 3: one hundred thousand a month, a lot of money. And
- 42:53Speaker 3: when President Trump is going to tweet something, you'll get
- 42:57Speaker 3: it early before everybody else. And a lot of times,
- 43:00Speaker 3: if he's tweeting something about a business or an industry
- 43:03Speaker 3: or something, it can make a stock shoot up. That's
- 43:07Speaker 3: why a hedge fund would want it early, find out
- 43:11Speaker 3: before everybody else, because then they could buy the stock.
- 43:14Speaker 3: If he's going to say something about Tesla or something
- 43:17Speaker 3: or what you could buy Tesla real fast. Or if
- 43:21Speaker 3: he's gonna say something bad about Tesla, you could sell
- 43:23Speaker 3: it real fast. So it sounds like insider trading and
- 43:26Speaker 3: you'd pay one hundred thousand a month for access to this. Now,
- 43:30Speaker 3: to me, it sounds pretty sleazy, and if you're the
- 43:33Speaker 3: president of United States, you shouldn't. It's legal, I guess,
- 43:36Speaker 3: but you shouldn't be doing this. But in his defense,
- 43:40Speaker 3: it turns out now he doesn't run the company and
- 43:42Speaker 3: he only owns fifty three percent of it. It turns
- 43:45Speaker 3: out I didn't know this, that other platforms do this.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Twitter has this service, so it's not just some crazy
- 43:51Speaker 3: thing he came up with. Apparently other platforms have it.
- 43:55Speaker 3: And if you're a hedge fund that if you watch
- 43:58Speaker 3: the show Billions, you know that's what they're after, and
- 44:02Speaker 3: that's what they'll pay for. Inside info, stuff that isn't
- 44:06Speaker 3: public yet, get information before anybody else, that kind of stuff.
- 44:10Speaker 3: And these guys, when it's going to be a tweet,
- 44:15Speaker 3: you get it ahead of everybody. I don't know what
- 44:16Speaker 3: that means. Does it mean five minutes, ten minutes? But
- 44:20Speaker 3: hedge funds are equipped to respond in a microsecond, so
- 44:24Speaker 3: it would still help them. It doesn't sound great, but again,
- 44:28Speaker 3: other platforms have all been doing it. So if that's
- 44:30Speaker 3: what the other platforms do, his certainly has a right
- 44:33Speaker 3: to keep up with the rest of the industry. Amazon
- 44:37Speaker 3: is announced they're building a facility in Wholebrook out in
- 44:41Speaker 3: Long Island. You know it sounds good, I'm building a facility.
- 44:45Speaker 3: This is Amazon, boy. When they build a facility, it's
- 44:48Speaker 3: a one billion dollar facility. It's one hundred and forty acres.
- 44:54Speaker 3: One hundred and forty acres. Now it's going to be
- 44:57Speaker 3: a huge fulfilled center. They got to build these all
- 45:02Speaker 3: over the place. You don't realize what it takes to
- 45:04Speaker 3: get these packages to you. You order something that's there
- 45:07Speaker 3: the next day. It's a fulfillment center. Four million square
- 45:13Speaker 3: foot building, four million square feet this building. The ceilings
- 45:18Speaker 3: are seventy five feet high. That's because if you've seen
- 45:21Speaker 3: inside these fulfillment centers, they're just and it looks like
- 45:24Speaker 3: a Costco but ten times the size. With these big
- 45:27Speaker 3: forklifts that are all robotic going up picking up whatever
- 45:31Speaker 3: items you order. It's unbelievable. It's the most advanced robotics
- 45:35Speaker 3: you've ever seen, getting packages off shelves, putting them into orders.
- 45:40Speaker 3: This this will be a fulfillment center. It'll get your
- 45:43Speaker 3: order ready and then it'll be delivered. Trucks will pick
- 45:45Speaker 3: it up there. Now, listen to this. It's not only
- 45:48Speaker 3: four million square feet, it's not only one hundred and
- 45:49Speaker 3: forty acres. This facility will have parking for twenty one
- 45:54Speaker 3: hundred vehicles. Twenty one hundred vehicles. That this is the
- 45:59Speaker 3: kind of stuff you'll want because it's great for business.
- 46:02Speaker 3: But on the other hand, as they said, it's all robotic. Normally,
- 46:06Speaker 3: to get a facility like that, can you imagine the
- 46:08Speaker 3: jobs it would create. Well for robots, yes, a lot
- 46:12Speaker 3: of jobs, but twenty one hundred vehicles means drivers at
- 46:16Speaker 3: this point. At some point those will be robotic. Hey,
- 46:19Speaker 3: Legionnaire's disease, let me just give you the latest. They
- 46:22Speaker 3: are now three dead. And let me just point out something.
- 46:26Speaker 3: When you hear more dead, oh, another death, that's a
- 46:30Speaker 3: lagging indicator. That doesn't mean the outbreak is increasing. If
- 46:35Speaker 3: you get Legionnaire's disease, it's going to be a week
- 46:38Speaker 3: or two before you die. So if the number spiking
- 46:41Speaker 3: now means the spike was a week ago, for the
- 46:44Speaker 3: disease spreading, it's actually coming down. There's less cases of legionnaires.
- 46:48Speaker 3: As it comes down, the death number will go up,
- 46:50Speaker 3: but that's from people that contracted it a week ago
- 46:54Speaker 3: when it was higher. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 47:01Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Mark simone on seven ten.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Hey, we'll take some calls. Actually, let's get some new callers.
- 47:13Speaker 3: If you never called before, call us. Eight hundred three
- 47:16Speaker 3: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 47:19Speaker 3: three two one zero seven ten. Let's go to uh
- 47:24Speaker 3: Lee in New Jersey. Lee, how you doing?
- 47:27Speaker 10: Hi?
- 47:27Speaker 16: How are you? Thank you for taking my call? Thanks
- 47:30Speaker 16: not a new caller. This is my fourth call. I
- 47:34Speaker 16: used to live in North Babylon, Long Island.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Did you call that living?
- 47:37Speaker 16: But okay, yeah, well I was what I was younger.
- 47:41Speaker 16: But anyway, where did they find all that square footage?
- 47:44Speaker 16: Because Long Island is so built up like tod they
- 47:47Speaker 16: just create a new town somewhere because to put an
- 47:50Speaker 16: Amazon center out there, Where did they find all that
- 47:53Speaker 16: square Probably that.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Wasn't That's why it's in Holbrook. That's why it's not
- 47:57Speaker 3: in the middle of Garden City. You got to go
- 48:00Speaker 3: to Wholebrook to get that much square footage probably.
- 48:02Speaker 16: You know, I mean even going out to the Hamptons
- 48:05Speaker 16: and stuff. I mean there's still you know, a lot
- 48:07Speaker 16: of towns out there. But I'm just thinking about they're
- 48:10Speaker 16: going to have robots working it, but they're still going
- 48:12Speaker 16: to have a lot of delivery trucks, which is good
- 48:15Speaker 16: for people that need a job, but they're going to
- 48:18Speaker 16: clog the roads like crazy. You ever been on the
- 48:20Speaker 16: belt Parkway? I mean like coming from.
- 48:25Speaker 3: Well you should talk here in New Jersey. You ever
- 48:27Speaker 3: been on River Road? Try to drive that?
- 48:29Speaker 16: Well, yeah, that's not too far for me.
- 48:32Speaker 5: Actually, yeah, well.
- 48:33Speaker 3: You can't get down there. You know, I don't know
- 48:35Speaker 3: you people in New Jersey were thinking. You built five
- 48:37Speaker 3: thousand skyscrapers on the waterfront and you have the same
- 48:40Speaker 3: two roads. It's clogged.
- 48:42Speaker 16: Homel This is very nice. It's like a lot of
- 48:45Speaker 16: room room to breathe don't tell everybody now that I
- 48:48Speaker 16: just did, because they are going to move for you.
- 48:50Speaker 3: But yeah, Lee, thanks for calling. Great call. Let's go
- 48:53Speaker 3: to Justin and fair Lawn. Justin. How you doing.
- 48:58Speaker 8: Oh, it's great to speak with you.
- 49:00Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 49:00Speaker 8: Memories of Policy's Amusement Park here was one of the
- 49:04Speaker 8: only saltwater pools in the country. Away Pool I IRV.
- 49:09Speaker 8: Rosenville was the actual owner and I worked there and
- 49:13Speaker 8: he was very personal. You get all the people working there.
- 49:16Speaker 8: I used to work the hot doork stand and I
- 49:19Speaker 8: met some good personalities. Bus the Crab A Flash Gordon.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Oh my god, wait, give me a minute, Buster Crab.
- 49:25Speaker 3: You know, nobody under one hundred and twelve is going
- 49:27Speaker 3: to know who that is.
- 49:28Speaker 8: But well on one hundred and fifteen, so not to work.
- 49:31Speaker 3: But if you watch the Honeymooners episode, he's mentioned in
- 49:33Speaker 3: one of them.
- 49:35Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, that's very true. And they had Freddie Cannon
- 49:38Speaker 8: did the actual performance there. It was incredible.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Okay, but let me ask you something. It was a
- 49:43Speaker 3: big amusement park. Uh Fort fort Lee, right, was it
- 49:47Speaker 3: Edgewater Fortly But.
- 49:49Speaker 8: Well, yeah, more so towards Cliffside Park.
- 49:51Speaker 3: Cliff Side Park, I think the US Side Park here.
- 49:54Speaker 3: I think the Winston Towers apartment buildings sit on what
- 49:57Speaker 3: used to be the Palisade Park Park.
- 49:59Speaker 8: Right, Plastadium is there too. But here's a question.
- 50:04Speaker 3: It was so popular, what what closed it? Why did
- 50:06Speaker 3: it close?
- 50:08Speaker 8: In nineteen seventy one, the neighbor is. The hood changed.
- 50:11Speaker 8: There were a lot of bars and other areas. And
- 50:15Speaker 8: what happened was there were a lot of after I
- 50:18Speaker 8: was drinking and that's good, and we got worse. So
- 50:25Speaker 8: it just he decided to shut it down and sell it.
- 50:29Speaker 8: But it was extremely popular my day back in the
- 50:33Speaker 8: eighteen eighties.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it was a big deal. All right, Well,
- 50:35Speaker 3: thanks for calling good stuff. Let's go to Adam in
- 50:38Speaker 3: New Jersey. Adam, how you doing?
- 50:41Speaker 8: Yeah? Just a little down a bit.
- 50:43Speaker 5: You know, I wondering what happened to peace movement that
- 50:47Speaker 5: in America? Where's the Joan Bias?
- 50:49Speaker 3: And you know what I'm saying, assisted living right now?
- 50:56Speaker 3: What happened to Joan Bias? Peace movement? You still got it?
- 51:01Speaker 4: I don't see nothing in the streets.
- 51:02Speaker 3: Oh, you should get a television set. It's a change
- 51:05Speaker 3: your life. Get one of those flat screens. You can
- 51:08Speaker 3: turn it on and watch MSNBC and you'll see peace
- 51:11Speaker 3: marches all over the place, protesting the war, protesting Trump,
- 51:15Speaker 3: no kings. You'll even see those peace signs. They brought
- 51:18Speaker 3: them back. They're all wearing those things. Now, let's go
- 51:21Speaker 3: to Mike and port Chester. Mike, how you doing all right?
- 51:26Speaker 7: Mark?
- 51:27Speaker 5: I called because you always talk about Greenwich.
- 51:30Speaker 8: Have you ever been to Portchester?
- 51:32Speaker 3: I've been to Colony Pizza there, probably the nicest looking
- 51:35Speaker 3: Colony Pizza even got an outdoor deck overlooking the water.
- 51:38Speaker 3: I've been to Costco there.
- 51:40Speaker 13: I've been to isn't that Where's restaurant?
- 51:44Speaker 3: TNJ is very very good. That's a great Italian restaurant.
- 51:48Speaker 3: I went there with Fred Camillo. Oh and also you
- 51:52Speaker 3: got Sergio Sawpit. That's one of the great Italian restaurants.
- 51:57Speaker 12: That's right, that's right.
- 51:58Speaker 3: See do I pass the test? Pasqually's is very good too,
- 52:03Speaker 3: and a lot of good stuff. And but you got
- 52:05Speaker 3: an AMC movie theater there. See I know my way
- 52:07Speaker 3: around port Chester.
- 52:09Speaker 8: All right, Well, listen when you talk to Vincent, uh huh,
- 52:13Speaker 8: give him a phrase from me in Italian?
- 52:15Speaker 3: Right, thank good? All right?
- 52:16Speaker 8: Go ahead for mayor Maundani Okay, go ahead, give him
- 52:22Speaker 8: a new name zero moo Donnie.
- 52:27Speaker 3: All right, work on that, a little tweak that a
- 52:29Speaker 3: little Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you
- 52:33Speaker 3: doing good on? Okay? No, good morning to other listener, right,
- 52:37Speaker 3: not just.
- 52:38Speaker 11: Good morning to you, Mark. I heard the first part
- 52:41Speaker 11: of the show Zato Mundani Mark, I believe that City
- 52:45Speaker 11: Council Speaker Julia Manning is a fraud and she's just
- 52:49Speaker 11: as leftist as all the rest have leftists on the
- 52:52Speaker 11: city Council. But she comes off better because she wears
- 52:56Speaker 11: nicer clothes and has a better hand dress and has
- 52:59Speaker 11: better well.
- 53:00Speaker 3: But she can be common sense at times.
- 53:02Speaker 11: Yeah, but here's all right, here's the butt. Mark. Last
- 53:06Speaker 11: week and the photo was in the post, she did
- 53:09Speaker 11: a photo op with Michael mulgrew, the president of the Teachers' Union,
- 53:14Speaker 11: and there was one of his quoties there. She made
- 53:17Speaker 11: a side deal with the teacher's aids beyond the raisers.
- 53:25Speaker 11: They already got the teachers and the aids in their contract.
- 53:29Speaker 11: She cut a side deal that wasn't negotiated with anybody
- 53:33Speaker 11: to give each teacher's aid a ten thousand dollars additional raise. Mark.
- 53:40Speaker 11: She is the one who sponsored that law before Eric
- 53:44Speaker 11: adams term was up, that says we have to offer
- 53:50Speaker 11: our buildings when they're for sale to these NGOs. And
- 53:55Speaker 11: even though she didn't have enough votes, there wasn't veto
- 53:59Speaker 11: proof Eric Adams are just played dead and Mondani signed it.
- 54:04Speaker 11: To law.
- 54:05Speaker 3: She just you all right, Yeah, I know what you're saying.
- 54:08Speaker 3: She is more common sense, but you're right, she's being
- 54:10Speaker 3: Chuck schumeris afraid to stand up to these crazy Left
- 54:14Speaker 3: and she's given Vincent. We gotta we got we gotta
- 54:18Speaker 3: go do the news. But okay, good point. Thanks for calling.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Hey when we come back. John Fund, the great writer, columnist,
- 54:25Speaker 3: you know, Wall Street Journal, the Committee on Leash Prosperity
- 54:29Speaker 3: and no better expert on our elections? Are they safe?
- 54:33Speaker 3: Are they going to be? Okay? This time? No better expert.
- 54:35Speaker 3: We'll talk to him next on seven to ten w
- 54:39Speaker 3: o R.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Mark Simone Show.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Live from the w o R Life Back Studios.
- 54:48Speaker 3: Well, John Fun the brilliant writer, columnist, Wall Street Journal,
- 54:52Speaker 3: National Review, working that runs the Committee to Unleashed Prosperity.
- 54:56Speaker 3: And he's written a book that came out a little
- 54:59Speaker 3: while ago, but you got read this book. It's called
- 55:01Speaker 3: Our Broken Elections really explains things to you. A very
- 55:05Speaker 3: important book. Are Broken Elections, and it's good to have
- 55:08Speaker 3: them back with us. John Fund, how you doing pleasure?
- 55:11Speaker 7: Thanks?
- 55:12Speaker 17: The Canadians or invasion has more or less gone away.
- 55:16Speaker 3: Well, but it could start again. President Trump is right
- 55:20Speaker 3: to get on them. They could do some forests maintenance,
- 55:23Speaker 3: make sure this doesn't happen again, can't They.
- 55:27Speaker 17: Both Canada and the US don't allow controlled burns and
- 55:33Speaker 17: a lot of their government land, and that's one of
- 55:35Speaker 17: the reasons that we have these fires.
- 55:37Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's time to stop listening to these climate
- 55:41Speaker 3: change and nuts. They're wrong about some things, and this
- 55:43Speaker 3: is certainly one of them. Hey, before we get to the elections,
- 55:46Speaker 3: let me ask you something about great Britain got a
- 55:48Speaker 3: new prime minister today. What does that mean for us?
- 55:54Speaker 17: It means, I think, sadly that the new Labor Party
- 55:59Speaker 17: prime minister is going to have a honeymoon and Britain will,
- 56:03Speaker 17: briefly until they get disappointed, rally around him. This guy
- 56:07Speaker 17: is trouble. He spoke to the Labor Party conference last
- 56:12Speaker 17: week and said all of our problems are either because
- 56:15Speaker 17: of Thatcher or the United States. We have to nationalize
- 56:19Speaker 17: various industries. In other words, we need more socialism. The
- 56:23Speaker 17: kind of democratic socialists we have in America are now
- 56:26Speaker 17: actually in charge in Britain.
- 56:29Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I asked, Hey. The other problem is whatever happens.
- 56:33Speaker 17: Otherwise, have a nice cup of tea.
- 56:36Speaker 3: But often what happens in Britain is like the canary
- 56:39Speaker 3: in the coal mine about what's going to happen here?
- 56:41Speaker 3: Does that?
- 56:42Speaker 17: Well, the good news is, you know, the Labor Party
- 56:46Speaker 17: is extremely unpopular because they've done nothing to solve Britain's
- 56:49Speaker 17: underlying economic or social or immigration problems. And as a result,
- 56:54Speaker 17: Nachel Faraj is still the favor to become the next
- 56:57Speaker 17: British Prime minister. After this, we just have we just
- 57:00Speaker 17: have to wait a couple of years for an election,
- 57:02Speaker 17: and that's why they're doing so much to try to
- 57:04Speaker 17: discredit Nigel Farage. And look, the real issue that we
- 57:09Speaker 17: have to worry about is, you know, Britain is seeing
- 57:12Speaker 17: an upsurge in left wing political violence. We just had
- 57:14Speaker 17: that former cabinet minister who was brutally murdered in her.
- 57:18Speaker 3: Home at age seventy eight.
- 57:20Speaker 17: Nigel Farage has been threatened by people who've been arrested
- 57:23Speaker 17: for that. One of the people who is in jail
- 57:26Speaker 17: for threatening Nigel Farage is sending out TikTok videos threatening
- 57:30Speaker 17: other people. We have a left wing violence problem in
- 57:33Speaker 17: this country. My colleague Noah Roffman at National Review has
- 57:37Speaker 17: a new book out on this subject, and I have
- 57:39Speaker 17: to tell you, you know, the remember that medical executive from
- 57:43Speaker 17: United Healthcare who was gunned down on the streets of
- 57:45Speaker 17: New York. Yeah, this is not this is not an
- 57:49Speaker 17: isolated phenomenon. We are seeing Antifa and people who want
- 57:54Speaker 17: to threaten and intimidate their opponents all over this country. Look,
- 57:59Speaker 17: I'm not in alogists for the January sixth people. I
- 58:02Speaker 17: think some of those people should have gone to jail,
- 58:04Speaker 17: But they are dwarfed by the number of left wingers
- 58:07Speaker 17: who are ignored by the media, who are constantly out
- 58:10Speaker 17: there threatening people and have Trump arrangement syndrome.
- 58:14Speaker 3: So this crazy move to the left, the Democrats, the
- 58:17Speaker 3: socialist Mo'm all this the violence. How do you bring
- 58:20Speaker 3: this to an end? Will it ever end? Will the
- 58:22Speaker 3: cycle change?
- 58:25Speaker 17: Well, the first thing we have to do is make
- 58:27Speaker 17: sure that people understand that if they act violently or
- 58:30Speaker 17: threaten people, they will be prosecuted or they will be disciplined.
- 58:34Speaker 17: I think that's the most important thing. We need to
- 58:37Speaker 17: keep political disagreements non violent. So what we have to
- 58:42Speaker 17: do politically is I think the Democratic Party is going
- 58:46Speaker 17: to have to burn out this themselves. They are going
- 58:50Speaker 17: to have to start losing elections general elections. It's one
- 58:53Speaker 17: thing to elect someone in Mondami. Like Mondami, you know
- 58:56Speaker 17: this is a city where Donald Trump got twenty five
- 58:59Speaker 17: percent of the vote. Denver, Colorado, Kamala Harris won with
- 59:04Speaker 17: eighty five percent of the vote. They have to start
- 59:06Speaker 17: losing elections in places like Michigan, where I think this
- 59:09Speaker 17: guy Abdul al said is going to be the Democratic candidate.
- 59:12Speaker 17: That's the way that the Democratic Party is going to
- 59:14Speaker 17: have to be convinced you're going over the deep end
- 59:17Speaker 17: and it's time to pull back. Listen to John Fetterman.
- 59:20Speaker 17: Don't primary John Fetterman.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Well, Fetterman is great, but you got too many Chuck Schumer,
- 59:25Speaker 3: Keem Jeffrey types who are afraid to speak up, afraid
- 59:28Speaker 3: to say anything.
- 59:29Speaker 17: Well, if I were Chuck Schumer and I were how
- 59:31Speaker 17: King Jeffries, I would be afraid too, because they could
- 59:34Speaker 17: lose Democratic primaries in New York and so I understand
- 59:38Speaker 17: their political hesitation. But remember, if you're trying to become
- 59:41Speaker 17: a leader, you're supposed to lead, and these people have
- 59:45Speaker 17: the courage of other people's convictions, namely the Democratic Socialists.
- 59:49Speaker 3: Hey, now I've got midterms coming up. You're the expert
- 59:52Speaker 3: on these election practices. Is it any better? Is the
- 59:56Speaker 3: election any more secure in state by the state by state?
- 59:59Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Yes, oh yes.
- 1:00:02Speaker 17: We have about twenty eight states that have pretty solid
- 1:00:06Speaker 17: voter ID laws. We have many states that are trying
- 1:00:09Speaker 17: to also improve ballot security for mail in ballots. I
- 1:00:14Speaker 17: think we're going to see four more efforts to try
- 1:00:16Speaker 17: to require proof of citizenship in order to first register
- 1:00:20Speaker 17: to vote. Our elections are better than they were in
- 1:00:22Speaker 17: twenty twenty four, and certainly much better than they were
- 1:00:25Speaker 17: in twenty twenty. However, I think that the real problem
- 1:00:30Speaker 17: we have is there is an enthusiasm gap in this election.
- 1:00:34Speaker 17: Democrats are far more enthusiastic about voting against Donald Trump
- 1:00:38Speaker 17: and his friends than Republicans are in supporting, you know,
- 1:00:43Speaker 17: the big beautiful tax bill or the other things that
- 1:00:46Speaker 17: have been accomplished. I think Donald Trump has to have
- 1:00:49Speaker 17: a take a Hail Mary pass between now and the election.
- 1:00:52Speaker 17: I think he should issue an executive order mark where
- 1:00:56Speaker 17: he says, if you own a house, if you have
- 1:00:58Speaker 17: a stock market portfolio, we're going to index that to
- 1:01:02Speaker 17: capital gains so you don't pay taxes on the illusionary
- 1:01:06Speaker 17: inflationary gains. If you sell your house, you sell your
- 1:01:09Speaker 17: stock portfolio, and I think that that would boost the economy.
- 1:01:13Speaker 17: It would be fair we index everything else in our economy,
- 1:01:16Speaker 17: including the tax brackets that we pay money on, and
- 1:01:19Speaker 17: I think that he can do that simply with a
- 1:01:22Speaker 17: reinterpretation of the IRS codes using executive order.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it's brilliant and it would work, and it's great.
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: But wouldn't that rile up Democrats media even more when
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: they go even crazier.
- 1:01:36Speaker 17: Well, already it's a ten out of ten, So I
- 1:01:39Speaker 17: don't know what else they could do. And the point is,
- 1:01:42Speaker 17: the point is even they, you know, would understand, Hey,
- 1:01:47Speaker 17: my house, which I bought for five hundred thousand and
- 1:01:50Speaker 17: which is not worth a million, I wouldn't have to
- 1:01:53Speaker 17: pay any money on the inflationary gains that I have
- 1:01:56Speaker 17: with you're illusory, and I would save money too. So
- 1:02:00Speaker 17: I think it would be a win win for most people,
- 1:02:03Speaker 17: and it would affect everyone, including the middle class, including
- 1:02:07Speaker 17: people who just have a small ira. It would help everyone.
- 1:02:13Speaker 17: And as we've already learned, whenever we cut the capital
- 1:02:16Speaker 17: gains tax, we end up with more revenue, not with
- 1:02:18Speaker 17: less revenue.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, John fun this Save America Act. How important
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: is this? Is it really important? Would it really get
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: a lot done? Would it really do anything?
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: Well?
- 1:02:29Speaker 17: I think it does have to be structured in such
- 1:02:31Speaker 17: a way that it doesn't unduly interfere with the rights
- 1:02:34Speaker 17: of the states to conduct their elections. Having said that, look,
- 1:02:38Speaker 17: the federal government sends money to the states to support
- 1:02:42Speaker 17: their election systems. They have a right under current law
- 1:02:45Speaker 17: to demand that the voter registration role has be cleaned up.
- 1:02:48Speaker 17: They usually aren't in blue states. In New York City,
- 1:02:51Speaker 17: no marketer wouldever use a voter registration is to try
- 1:02:54Speaker 17: to sell anyone anything because twenty percent of the names
- 1:02:57Speaker 17: are outdated, people who are dead, people who don't exist.
- 1:03:02Speaker 17: I think that we do have to clean up the
- 1:03:04Speaker 17: election roles. I think the federal government is probably not
- 1:03:07Speaker 17: going to have the Save America Vote Act in place
- 1:03:10Speaker 17: for this election, which is why in going forward, the
- 1:03:13Speaker 17: federal government has to sue the states clean up your
- 1:03:15Speaker 17: voter roles or you're not going to get any federal money.
- 1:03:18Speaker 17: And I think that we have to. We're gonna have
- 1:03:19Speaker 17: to go back and try for the Save America Vote
- 1:03:22Speaker 17: Act next session of Congress because I don't want to
- 1:03:26Speaker 17: get rid of the philibuster. I don't know how you
- 1:03:27Speaker 17: feel about this market. I think the filibuster is a
- 1:03:30Speaker 17: great guaranteur of minority rights and we should we should
- 1:03:34Speaker 17: we get rid of it at our peril.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, I got a minute. So left, the Democrats
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: so far to the left. Is this last time this happened?
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: You have like a Bill Clinton rise up and lead
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: them back to the middle. Is that going to happen again?
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: Will it be a Federman or somebody that could do that?
- 1:03:50Speaker 17: Good question? The answer is how many elections do they
- 1:03:54Speaker 17: lose because they have the loooney left and on their
- 1:03:58Speaker 17: ticket as candidates? And I think that's the only solution
- 1:04:01Speaker 17: for this. Politicians do not have ideas, They have ambitions,
- 1:04:06Speaker 17: and if their ambitions are thwarted by the fact that
- 1:04:08Speaker 17: their party has moved too far to the left, they
- 1:04:11Speaker 17: will as book Bill Clinton or Tony Blair, when the
- 1:04:14Speaker 17: Labor Party lost three elections to Margaret Thatcher, they will adjust.
- 1:04:18Speaker 17: We have to beat them in order for them to
- 1:04:22Speaker 17: get common sense.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: All right, Well, great stuff, John fun brilliant as always.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Get his book are Broken Elections? It's excellent, And what's

- 1:05:40Speaker 2: the Mark Simone show on wors Hey.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: Remember last week the President leaving Turkey had to use
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: the old Air Force one. That beautiful new Cutter donated
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: flying palace was taken. The President didn't use it. And
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: remember I told you it lacked anti missile defense. It
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: didn't have. It had a lot of stuff, but it
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: didn't have the anti missile defense the old Air Force
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: one had. So the White Houses officially confirmed that and
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: announced today that that Cutter air Force one will go
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: out of service for at least a month or two.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: It will get that anti missile defense installed in. It's
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: going to take a couple of months. So it's back
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: to the old Air Force one now for at least
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: the next month, may maybe longer. Hey, we're out of time.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: It's going to be a beautiful day today, absolutely beautiful.
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: If you're gonna play hooky, do it today because tomorrow
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: a lot of rain. I'll be back tomorrow ten to noon.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Every weekday ten to noon. You should be here too,
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: seven to ten wor
