  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's why we couldn't talk earlier today because I was we had some time to kill in the morning.

  SPEAKER_00: And so we said, why don't we go to this movie?

  SPEAKER_00: It was like we went like 10 o'clock to a movie in the morning.

  SPEAKER_00: That's cool.

  SPEAKER_00: And there's nothing, there's nothing weirder than going into a movie that's like sort of an Odyssey of a movie, and it's dark, and you're in there for like 16 hours, and you come out and it's daylight, and you gotta get lunch, and you're like, Where am I?

  SPEAKER_00: Anyway, was it good?

  SPEAKER_00: Uh I I I uh it was it was a little violent for me, okay.

  SPEAKER_00: But um I enjoyed it.

  SPEAKER_00: I really enjoyed it, and uh, it was quite the quite the Odyssey, quite the adventure.

  SPEAKER_00: I liked it better than the Steven Spielberg movie I saw recently.

  SPEAKER_00: Yep, Hollywood update.

  SPEAKER_00: Uh go see the Odyssey and uh try to empty your bladder before you go because I had to pee for the last hour and a half, but I I just didn't want to miss anything.

  SPEAKER_01: What what what's your what whatever happened with Love Island?

  SPEAKER_00: Well, the the couple won that that that seemed like they were gonna win from the beginning.

  SPEAKER_00: It was like a bunch of drama.

  SPEAKER_00: It was like this couple got together, everybody liked them, you're like, oh, they're gonna win.

  SPEAKER_00: All this drama goes on with all the other couples, and in the end, the original couple that you liked won.

  SPEAKER_00: And now what I'm mostly interested in is the reunion, I think at the end of August, when we get to find out like how much did we mess up these people's lives, yeah, uh, by going on this show, because these were you know semi-normal people, maybe they had 9,000 Instagram followers because they were semi-influencer, and then they come out and they're like a you know, two a quarter, you know, quarter million, and and they're getting photo shoots and they're getting all kinds of brand deals, and you're like, so some of these people are gonna be able to do pretty good in life and and make it work, and others I think are gonna just spin out, you know what I you know what I mean?

  SPEAKER_00: But it I would say ultimately it was definitely I was very glad to have been a part of this, you know, to to known what was going on with this cultural phenomenon.

  SPEAKER_00: But I'm I'm I would um there's no way, shape, or form could I recommend that as something to do with with 30 some hours of your time.

  SPEAKER_00: Like it's really not worth the not worth it.

  SPEAKER_01: So was it was it not as good as the Odyssey?

  SPEAKER_00: The Odyssey was better and a lot shorter, like tenth of the time.

  SPEAKER_00: It's like a tenth of tenth of my life and it was and it was more interesting.

  SPEAKER_01: And you know, you know all that, you know all that drama's fake, right?

  SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, I i there's there they're actual young people having you know actual things happening to them, but they're also playing it up for the cameras for sure.

  SPEAKER_01: But it's manipulating.

  SPEAKER_01: But there you know, I had a friend, I had a friend who was in one of those reality shows.

  SPEAKER_01: And Bachelor.

  SPEAKER_01: He said, When you when you saw the scene, when you saw the scene on TV, it was me yelling at somebody else.

  SPEAKER_01: And that's what you saw.

  SPEAKER_01: And it was horrible.

  SPEAKER_01: And I was yelling and cussing, and the other guy was yelling and cussing.

  SPEAKER_01: That's what you saw.

  SPEAKER_01: Well, what you don't know is that the producer went down to the set, started screaming at one of the guys, had the cameraman film it, and so the guy's screaming at the producer because he's there's producer screaming at him, and then he goes to the other room and screams at the other guy, and that guy screams at the producer, and then the editor just cuts it together to make it look like they're both screaming at each other, and they weren't even they weren't even in the same room.

  SPEAKER_01: Like that happens you know, all the time.

  SPEAKER_01: So, you know, uh I feel bad for yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, just I mean, I don't think people really think it.

  SPEAKER_01: I, you know, that WWE world wrestling, you know, that people know that's fake, but it's still fun.

  SPEAKER_00: I just want to you know what what about what about yeah, and it I you know, I started because my daughter wanted me to.

  SPEAKER_00: I it was good for us to bond, but the the in the end it wasn't worth it, and she kind of petered out at the end herself for her own reasons.

  SPEAKER_00: But did you uh did have you seen the Odyssey yet?

  SPEAKER_01: No, we we got tickets for like next week.

  SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't like going to a theater that's uh got a lot of people.

  SPEAKER_00: When it's packed in the beginning, you wait a week or two.

  SPEAKER_01: I want to relax and go.

  SPEAKER_00: Well, the 10 o'clock movie wasn't packed.

  SPEAKER_01: So well, we want to at least watch kind of an IMAX thing or some version of it.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, we were we we the reason we the reason we went to that was so that we could get a little time before we picked up our son from the airport at Roanoke and uh took him with us.

  SPEAKER_00: And then when we got out, it turns out his plane landed on time, his his connecting flight, but they didn't the jetway was broken.

  SPEAKER_00: Uh and so they sat on the plane for an hour and they wouldn't let him get off, and he missed his connecting flight, so now he's not coming in for until 8:30 tonight.

  SPEAKER_00: So we are on our way.

  SPEAKER_00: Uh, we are about 30 minutes from our little uh destination, and he's gonna we're gonna go pick him up tomorrow.

  SPEAKER_00: Okay, and we're we're taking the truck on, and he's got a friend in Roanoke that's gonna pick him up.

  SPEAKER_00: He's gonna spend the night with his buddy, and then we're gonna go get him tomorrow.

  SPEAKER_00: So yeah, uh all's well that ends well, except you know, he's gonna sit around for it for an extra six hours.

  SPEAKER_01: But what are you gonna do?

  SPEAKER_01: What's more important, what's what's what I'm also hearing is that you've got a little time, right?

  SPEAKER_01: You've got a little why well, you know, technically it's F8 now, and it, you know, like we gotta upgrade uh upgrade the gotta change that logo to S8.

  SPEAKER_00: Oh, I yeah, I did that, but it takes uh I well I didn't I did I just did it black and white again because I didn't put a but I but I I don't know I did that, I don't know how long it takes to update.

  SPEAKER_00: We're gonna be here for uh two weeks.

  SPEAKER_01: You're not at your destination, you're not at your final destination.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, in 20 minutes, in twenty in thirty minutes, yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we're getting to her house and we're gonna go check in at the hotel.

  SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna unload her bed and her bike and her grill, which are right at the back.

  SPEAKER_00: And we're gonna set up her bed, and then when she gets there, she can sleep and then row, and then we'll, you know, unload a few things, boxes here and there, whatever.

  SPEAKER_00: But we're waiting for my son to unload like most of the furniture.
