- 0:36Welcome back to Rick and Elaine discuss the Bible
- 0:39and in particular the book of Job. I've got a
- 0:43little song for you What do you got? I know I
- 0:45was just saying that I'll just pretend that I
- 0:47wasn't speaking to you for five minutes. Hello
- 0:49Rick Oh, hi. It's nice to see you. I told her
- 0:52I was like Everything she said to me everything
- 0:58she said to me. I was like, oh I need to record
- 1:01like everything you said this morning was so
- 1:03Precious. And I want you to go through with that,
- 1:05but I'll start off with, um, how you doing? How
- 1:10you doing? Hey, how you doing? Hey, hang on.
- 1:13Listen, how you doing? How you doing? Mind you,
- 1:17I think I've, I think I've gone from, um, Joey
- 1:20to Sylvester Stallone. Yeah. Or, or the Sopranos.
- 1:24Hey, how you doing? How you doing? How you doing?
- 1:28How you doing? Yeah. Like the mafia. Exactly.
- 1:34Yeah, I wanted to guys. This last the last study
- 1:38that we did in job where I talked about leaving
- 1:41you guys in the tension, told you guys a lot
- 1:43about my personal stuff. I never expected the
- 1:46outpouring. I didn't expect it. I really didn't.
- 1:50I got some messages from people, personal stuff,
- 1:53some of which I will share. Some of it I absolutely
- 1:55will not because they asked me not to. But. You
- 2:00and I were just talking, Elaine, about your conversation
- 2:03with Chris this morning. And so just get back
- 2:06into what you were saying. Well, again, I was
- 2:10just saying to my husband, my husband is not
- 2:11a Christian, bless him, but he just sort of puts
- 2:14up with me, really. But I was just saying to
- 2:17him this morning, the Job study that, you know,
- 2:21we have to remember that he's our brother. You
- 2:24know, we're peering into something that our brother
- 2:28went through. And we're looking at it through
- 2:30his eyes. We know the story now. We understand
- 2:33what's gone on, but he didn't. And this is the
- 2:36juncture, what we're going through here, like
- 2:39we're going to do Matthew 20, Joe 28, but this
- 2:42is the juncture where he's at. You know, like
- 2:45I said to Rick that, you know, situations change
- 2:48for each and every individual. Centuries come
- 2:52and go. You know, fashions alter. Leaders rise
- 2:58and fall. Exactly. Exactly. You know, depending
- 3:02on the bricks that you lay there through your
- 3:04experiences, that you end up with what you are.
- 3:07But that is not what God wants you to be because
- 3:10we've taken it all on board in our flesh. But
- 3:13he says that your spirit and your flesh, even
- 3:16though you exorcise what you are in the spirit
- 3:19through your flesh, you know, what happens to
- 3:21the flesh isn't what you truly are of essence.
- 3:25Right. they can't touch that they can't touch
- 3:29that only if you allow people to touch that and
- 3:33impact that and that's what that's what's happening
- 3:35you know god comes along in our lives and he
- 3:38says that's impacted your spirit i don't want
- 3:40you i don't want you to have it in your your
- 3:42spirit it's a totally separate entity like i
- 3:45say although your life and how you work it through
- 3:48this are together God is taking away all those
- 3:52things and this is what I was saying to my husband
- 3:53this morning that you know we're peering into
- 3:56we got the honor and the privilege of peering
- 3:57into just like people you know tell different
- 4:01aspects of their lives personal things we're
- 4:04looking into something that that happened to
- 4:06this man we're privy to this and everybody can
- 4:09read the Bible and see what this man's thoughts
- 4:11were and you know for it to be in there it has
- 4:15to impact us in some shape or form it's there
- 4:17for a reason you know, what are we getting out
- 4:20of it? What bricks are we having to take down?
- 4:24What is God showing us? What guilt do we feel
- 4:26that we shouldn't feel? Because we've distorted,
- 4:29we're distorted in our spirit and the experiences
- 4:32that we've had that God says, look, darling,
- 4:34you're my child, the Holy Spirit, the Holy, not
- 4:36the spirits that you have in you that are, you
- 4:38know, distorted. It's a bit like being in front
- 4:41of a circus mirror. Yes. You know, you're there,
- 4:44but you're all distorted, aren't you? all the
- 4:46bits are there, but it's all and God is coming
- 4:49along through his holy, pure, perfect spirit
- 4:52and is taking away that and replacing it with
- 4:56the mind of Christ. And I think this is, you
- 4:59know, as we're looking, we're seeing Job actually
- 5:01doing this in front of our eyes. After doing
- 5:05that last week in Chapter 27 and bringing up
- 5:08my personal stuff, knowing what was coming for
- 5:1128, I sent you a massive email. You saw it. I
- 5:15put my feet up and I had a packet of biscuits
- 5:18and you had to because it was the longest email
- 5:21I've ever written. But it's where I've landed
- 5:24with 28. And I started I give glory to God for
- 5:29unlocking this for me so that I can see. Glory
- 5:34to God for bringing you into my life to help
- 5:35unlock the other eyes the the spiritual overlayment
- 5:39over the physical and seeing that and how everything's
- 5:42starting to come to life and I'm thankful for
- 5:45it and I'm also thankful for all of you who have
- 5:47been listening along with us and staying with
- 5:49us Those who are commenting and those who aren't
- 5:53I discovered that in the metrics that there there
- 5:56were over 1 ,250 views of our patreon video or
- 6:00Matthew 27 one and two and guys I've only got
- 6:03like 157 members. So these are people because
- 6:06we're giving this out to the public. So there
- 6:08are people from the public that are actually
- 6:10coming in and watching this that are not a part
- 6:13of our Patreon channel at all. And they're just
- 6:15coming in and watching and they're not commenting
- 6:17or anything. And so I'm very encouraged by that.
- 6:21Well, so am I, Rick. I mean, this is the whole
- 6:23thing. You know, these things that we talk about,
- 6:26they are really meant to not only get to know
- 6:29the person that we're talking about and the fact
- 6:32that God has These things placed in there, which
- 6:34is obviously very important to go for us to read,
- 6:37but for us to read so that it's going to impact
- 6:41me as well. It has to. Otherwise, it's only just
- 6:45a storybook that has no help towards what I am
- 6:51or what I want to become at all. It just might
- 6:53as well be a novel. Yeah, absolutely. Well, let
- 6:57me get to this comment. So in episode 19, I read
- 7:00a couple of comments. But then after we did the
- 7:03recording the following day, this comment came
- 7:06in from another listener who I know personally.
- 7:09I've met her a couple of times. Her name is Heather
- 7:13Lynn Ross. And this is what she wrote. This is
- 7:16from episode 18. She said, yeah, yeah. So while
- 7:22y 'all have been rocking with this study, I like
- 7:24rocking. You remember Alan causes rock stars.
- 7:28I've been listening for a little while, but figured
- 7:30I'd make my first comment. So thank you, Heather.
- 7:33Lovely to have you. Yes, it is. First, I want
- 7:36to say I absolutely love the Joey and Friends
- 7:38reference. How you doing, Heather? How you doing?
- 7:42Hey, how you doing? Yeah, I'm quite obsessed
- 7:45with that show and watch it every night to go
- 7:47to bed so that off the bat made me laugh. Listen,
- 7:49this is what's really funny. So I don't watch
- 7:52Friends every night. I used to. I actually watched
- 7:54Friends every night because I go to bed to television,
- 7:57too. My wife watches Heartland. which i cannot
- 7:59stand but i put in my headphones and then i go
- 8:02to sleep and then i at some point in the night
- 8:03i wake up and take the headphone out i don't
- 8:05know how i do it but i usually watch something
- 8:07funny so i'll watch friends or i'll watch the
- 8:09office or i'll watch something stupid like are
- 8:12you watching ricky gervais you know yeah that's
- 8:15my favorite one ricky gervais is definitely the
- 8:18best and i like how england i like how english
- 8:22television just gets to the point like they did
- 8:24literally like two seasons and a couple Christmas
- 8:27editions and got the story told where it took
- 8:30us 10 years in America to say it. We're so long
- 8:32-winded. Yeah. Yeah. The English just say, and
- 8:35that's that moving on, you know. Exactly. And
- 8:39that's it. It is what it is. Move on. Yep. That's
- 8:43right. One could also say that you're rushing
- 8:45through. Yeah. Well, I don't know. I mean, sometimes
- 8:49there's a load of waffle when you don't need
- 8:50it. That's true. That's true. All right, here
- 8:56we go. She says, I really enjoy the way I'll
- 8:58break things down and go through things smoothly
- 9:00and allow feedback. Elaine, I really enjoyed
- 9:05you giving us the information about the worm.
- 9:08I definitely did not know. I definitely did not
- 9:11know that. So that was awesome to have learned.
- 9:14I love hearing your voice on my morning drives
- 9:17to work. Oh my gosh. I tell you, I told my family
- 9:20that and they nearly spat their coffee out like,
- 9:22um, yeah. Yeah. I mean, that woman must be crazy.
- 9:28Yeah. I said, well, if it shows you, it's lovely
- 9:30to be appreciated, really. Obviously, my family
- 9:32don't. You know what? I gave them a superior
- 9:36look. Back in the day, people used to listen
- 9:39to radio shows and somebody would wake you up
- 9:41in the morning. And it was usually a man and
- 9:43a woman or, you know, we have a very popular
- 9:46one over here called John Boy Billy. It was really
- 9:48big over here. You know, people wake you up in
- 9:49the morning. She just said on her morning drive,
- 9:52Probably tuesday morning. She likes to listen
- 9:54to elaine talk Well, just so you know, so do
- 9:56I oh bless. Thank you so much. This is this is
- 9:59music to my ears Honestly, you don't know what
- 10:01you've done to me years. I've been told shut
- 10:04up, but it's lovely to hear that So god thinks
- 10:06yes. It's about time you heard that so I I doff
- 10:09my cap to you Very good. All right. She said
- 10:14rick. All right. Here's where we go To personal
- 10:17rick. I know from personal experience that talking
- 10:20about physical abuse and trauma is very hard
- 10:23to talk about, so appreciate you being vulnerable
- 10:26or brave enough to share that. I'm so sorry you
- 10:29had to go through that and overcome that. It
- 10:32is hard sometimes to think about the fact that
- 10:35God knows everything that's happened, or will
- 10:38happen, even when it is bad things that are done
- 10:43to us, His children. However, At the end of the
- 10:48day, his glory is going to be shown no matter
- 10:50what, and truly it is a beautiful thing to think
- 10:53about. The fact that he chose us to go through
- 10:56that and to lean on him to overcome it. For me,
- 11:01it took years to actually face it and lean on
- 11:03God, but oh, he held me right in his arms the
- 11:06whole time. He does, yes. In fact, I was in his
- 11:10arms the whole time and I just didn't know it.
- 11:13Now that I'm on the other side of it, it's a
- 11:16beautiful thing to know maybe someday I'll be
- 11:18able to share and help people out in the future
- 11:21We both would have never been able to help out
- 11:24if it weren't for some of the stuff that we've
- 11:25gone through in our past That's right Not neglecting
- 11:30the fact that some things didn't deserve to happen
- 11:33I like the way Elaine tied in Jesus I never really
- 11:37thought about it in that way when it came to
- 11:39that part of my past before So that was a very
- 11:43great point and it hit home with me because Jesus
- 11:46yes because Jesus did go through betrayal and
- 11:49torture So he does understand what his children
- 11:52go through and he's there for us every step of
- 11:54the way If we choose to lean on him, which is
- 11:57the most important thing to do and life I'm asked
- 12:02all your worries to him because he didn't make
- 12:04us to carry all with us No, it gave us himself.
- 12:08That's right. This is really powerful stuff y
- 12:10'all Bless you. Bless you. She actually says
- 12:14this is really powerful stuff y 'all were doing.
- 12:17I have thoroughly enjoyed this study. Heather,
- 12:21when I read that comment, I started eyeballing.
- 12:25The reason I balled is because, you know, as
- 12:27well as I do, if you share your story with somebody,
- 12:30You know how hard it is because you don't want
- 12:33people to look at you you feel shame i'm beyond
- 12:35the shame i'm beyond that now i've worked past
- 12:38it but when i see others that finally and you've
- 12:41already done it too but others who finally reach
- 12:43out to you they're still feeling it and it just
- 12:46it rips my heart out and you know and those things
- 12:49that i got angry with god about. Like i'm no
- 12:52longer angry with him i'm thankful now and that
- 12:55sounds bizarre to people. But you have to go
- 12:58through this and get to know the Lord like I
- 13:01know him in order to know what I mean. That's
- 13:03the only way you're going to know. Right. And
- 13:06I just think, I mean, I've, I've, I've shared
- 13:08things with you, Rick, and that, you know, there
- 13:10are things that I've, I've gone through in my
- 13:13life as well. And the reason that I don't share
- 13:16them, I share them with people that are not on
- 13:19the internet. Simply because I don't know who
- 13:24might hear. But there are things that I can share.
- 13:28Three times I tried to commit suicide once I
- 13:30nearly died, if my dad didn't, but it was something
- 13:32that happened to me as well. That's all I'll
- 13:34say, because I care about that people are alive.
- 13:40But it impacted me. I ended up like hitting my
- 13:43mother. I ended up stealing from my mother and
- 13:47my father. And it compounded what I'd gone through.
- 13:51And I just thought that I was useless, worthless.
- 13:54I called people trouble. I'm not worth being
- 13:57here because all they just do is worry over me.
- 14:00I knew why they were worrying, but I couldn't
- 14:02tell them. And that's the thing, you know, when
- 14:06I speak about things that I've been there. Yeah.
- 14:13But like I said before, I recognize these were
- 14:16things done to my flesh, not to my spirit, because
- 14:20nobody can ever touch my spirit. you know, they
- 14:23can't touch that. And I recognize that that is
- 14:25what God is separating experience and situations
- 14:28and circumstances from my spirit. Now, I can
- 14:32take those things that I experienced, I got obviously
- 14:36three times, my dad found me once on the floor.
- 14:39and I went to hospitals in intensive care. So
- 14:42I know what it feels like to be in that situation
- 14:44where you just want to get away and there's probably
- 14:46people out there that haven't said those sorts
- 14:48of things to maybe their friends or their parents
- 14:50or even admitted themselves, the whole reason
- 14:53why. But I recognize that God came to fix me.
- 14:56He came to fix my spirit. And he said that these
- 14:58things have happened to you. They aren't you.
- 15:01They are not you. And that is what I, and so
- 15:04I, you know, you go back to that child that was
- 15:07hurt. and you comfort them. In my head, I used
- 15:10to cuddle that child that was me. And I used
- 15:12to say, you have come out of this in a way that
- 15:16you never at that particular time thought was
- 15:18possible. God is using you because there's other
- 15:21broken people out there that know how to, that
- 15:23don't know how to be fixed, that want to be fixed.
- 15:25And it's just by sharing. So I cuddled her and
- 15:29eventually I went back to her and she, she didn't
- 15:31exist anymore. She was incorporated into me as
- 15:36that, that person now. that through that experience
- 15:39in my spirit now that God had given me that was
- 15:42free of it I could then go to other people and
- 15:45hear them and let them know that you know that
- 15:49experience that you went through it isn't you
- 15:52it happened to you this but it is not who you
- 15:56are God has washed you he's cleansed you your
- 15:59spirit is being sort of the bricks are being
- 16:01taken down and God is placing those others there
- 16:04And that's why I think people like myself, like
- 16:07you, like others, you know, I don't feel any
- 16:10guilt or shame about anything. Nothing. All I
- 16:13say is, Lord, this is an experience that I went
- 16:15through. How can I help other people through
- 16:17it? You know, and that is the bottom line. That
- 16:21is what are you learning or taking away from
- 16:24this experience? And God is saying, you can help
- 16:27my other children. You can cover my other children.
- 16:32You can share your experience and they can see
- 16:34you. And you can speak words of love and a forgiveness
- 16:37and a compassion and a freedom. It's free. It's
- 16:41freeing. It is. And that's where I hope all of
- 16:45you who are listening, even if you're not commenting,
- 16:47that you'll understand that what Elaine and I
- 16:51have been talking about not only in Joe, but
- 16:53in our other studies is that there comes a time
- 16:56in everyone's life. When they have to set the
- 16:59books down, set the commentaries down, set all
- 17:02of the influencers that are coming at you through
- 17:04social media or whatever down. And you actually
- 17:07have to go and talk to the father. Like there
- 17:11comes a moment in everyone's life where you're
- 17:14going to have to relate and it's not a one way
- 17:18relationship. It doesn't, that's not how it works.
- 17:21It might feel like it is for a lot of people,
- 17:24but if one of the, one of the differences is,
- 17:26is knowledge, the knowledge that works in a unique
- 17:30way, wisdom or relationship or standing side
- 17:35by side, wisdom with God and knowledge together,
- 17:38the way that that works is a personal Endeavor
- 17:41it's something that you do in prayer It's something
- 17:43that you do when you're reading the scriptures
- 17:45without commentary without influence when you're
- 17:48just going to the father about it but in reality
- 17:51It who you are matters to him because he made
- 17:55you You have to remember that he made you and
- 17:57so you can come to him and what we've learned
- 18:00from job is that you can be honest and that that
- 18:02means you can say the ugliest Awful as things
- 18:05that happen to you and you can lay it out before
- 18:07him. He is not surprised. He's not No, it's not
- 18:12part of the journey that you are on your journey
- 18:15is not my journey Elaine's journey is not Heather's
- 18:18journey. We all have similarities in a lot of
- 18:20ways But the reason why I brought it up and you
- 18:23know episode 18 and in that 27 by leaving you
- 18:29with attention is because Joe comes to this place
- 18:33and that's what we're going to get into today.
- 18:35I'm going to read the rest of these comments
- 18:36that came in, but that's where we're that's what's
- 18:39going to lead to today is because Joe comes to
- 18:41this place and he's like, Where is wisdom to
- 18:46be found like that? That is what that's what
- 18:48shocked me when I and I wrote like I said I wrote
- 18:50like I think it was like a ten page Letter to
- 18:53Elaine the stuff that I go through. I don't even
- 18:55know if I can get through all of 28 today I'm
- 18:56gonna try to be Rick. I can't even remember it.
- 19:00Oh That's great. Yeah, that's great. You read
- 19:03it and don't remember it Great to be older This
- 19:08is the whole point isn't it? I mean when I look
- 19:10at it, I think oh this is new and I only read
- 19:12it ten minutes ago That's how old I'm getting.
- 19:17That's like me whenever I take a shower and I
- 19:19wash my hair. And then I'm like, did I wash my
- 19:21hair? Exactly. Yeah. It's like, it's like the
- 19:24memory of a goldfish. That's why you go, the
- 19:26goldfishes go like that, don't they? Yep. They
- 19:29call them Bob. They call them Bob. You've got
- 19:31five seconds. They go around their little bowl
- 19:33and they go, Oh, I haven't seen this little arch
- 19:35before. They go around and say, Hey, is that
- 19:39new? They think their goldfish bowl is enormous,
- 19:44you know, five -second retention. So from now
- 19:47on, I might call, I might call you Bob. I'm Bob.
- 19:51We're a couple of Bobs. That's right. Here we
- 19:54go. Tony Driver. Hi, Tony. Hi, Tony. Good day,
- 19:58y 'all. I really enjoyed the study this week.
- 20:03The distinction between knowledge and wisdom
- 20:04really stood out to me. How Job is speaking from
- 20:07what he's lived through. Not just what he knows.
- 20:11Hold on. Let me reread that. I messed up the
- 20:14phrasing. How Job is speaking from what he's
- 20:16lived through, not just what he knows. That sounds
- 20:19better. That made it feel very real and personal.
- 20:23Rick, it was great hearing about Justin Nichols.
- 20:26I want you guys to be introduced because you're
- 20:28both AI song generation people and this is so
- 20:30cool. Awesome to see others making music as well.
- 20:34Let's use AI for a great cause and keep pointing
- 20:37people to the truth. Looking forward to next
- 20:39week. Absolutely. Yeah. Justin has sent me a
- 20:43couple of songs Guys go check out Tony's channel
- 20:46again. She's put up even more songs in the job
- 20:49study I'm so thankful that this is meant that
- 20:51much to her don't wanted to generate and create.
- 20:54So thank you Yeah, I love to read down to having
- 20:57a look and sort of learning some of them Really?
- 20:59Because it'd be nice to sing some when we came
- 21:01over. Okay. Yes. Yes. Absolutely. All right next
- 21:04comment So this is Heather Lynn Ross the one
- 21:07that had commented on 18. She's coming in again.
- 21:10Hi y 'all Hi y 'all. How y 'all doing? She's
- 21:12commenting here on episode 20 Another great episode
- 21:16today. This was in regard to episode 19 y 'all
- 21:19make this so fun to watch. Thanks One thing I
- 21:23took away was how thankful I am that the Holy
- 21:26Spirit has opened my eyes to things and continues
- 21:28to Can't hear what y 'all have planned for next
- 21:31week. Yeah Exactly, and that's what I was saying
- 21:34Like it's the Holy Spirit within us that that
- 21:36transforms us like whatever Paul says be transformed
- 21:39by the renewing of your mind or that we're being
- 21:41made into the image of Christ, you know, that's
- 21:45exactly what's going on. Like the Holy Spirit
- 21:46is working through this, that fruit, like Elaine
- 21:48said earlier, coming through our flesh, we're
- 21:51experiencing it, but then we bear it out. That
- 21:54is exactly what it means when he says, he opened
- 21:57my eyes. And this is what we've always said before,
- 22:00that you have to be open to the Holy Spirit's
- 22:02leading. You know, if you resist the Holy Spirit's
- 22:05leading, then he cannot take you forward. And
- 22:08this is the whole thing. This is why I say, do
- 22:10I know everything? No, of course I don't. But
- 22:12if somebody can open up my eyes to something
- 22:14else, I will rejoice. That's it. It's about everybody
- 22:17painting the picture. It's about everybody putting
- 22:20a part in there. I mean, sometimes you might
- 22:22have the picture more or less finished, but there
- 22:24may be just a little touch, a little scripture.
- 22:27You think, ah, that, that's it. That seals the
- 22:28deal. You know, it's, it's, it's sharing things.
- 22:32And this is, our father is so happy, not only
- 22:34when we share. you know, literal stuff, food
- 22:37or clothing or whatever, but it's when we share
- 22:40our spirituality, when we share what God has
- 22:42given to us, that is real sharing because we
- 22:46are sustaining one another. We are feeding one
- 22:49another upon the word of God. It's like the Bible
- 22:50says, you know, God puts before us a well -oiled
- 22:53banquet on the drinks. You know, it's not just
- 22:56a bit of, you know, a bit of bread and water,
- 22:58isn't it? You know, stale bread and water. It's
- 23:00a banquet. And we can all bring it up. People
- 23:02say, oh, bring some food to this and we all bring
- 23:04it. It's huge. It's far more than you could ever
- 23:06take in. Well, this is what the Holy Spirit does.
- 23:09Bring what you have and you think, my gosh, there's
- 23:11such an abundance of it. Yes. Yeah. It's like
- 23:14a, it's one of those potlucks. They call it here.
- 23:21Again, but you're someone you think, oh my gosh,
- 23:23that's amazing. I've never tasted that before.
- 23:26Who brought that? And that's the thing with the
- 23:28spirit, you know, someone who brings something,
- 23:30you'll go, oh my gosh, I've never tasted that
- 23:32before. Taste and see that God is good. Yes.
- 23:35That's crazy. I want more of that. Yes, me too.
- 23:40That's exactly right. What you're saying there,
- 23:42Heather, that's spot on. Spot on. All right.
- 23:45This is a message. Last week we didn't get a
- 23:47message from Pastor Alan Thompson, but this week
- 23:48we did. Hi Alan, good to see you. He says, Tom
- 23:52got. What was that? No more spitting coffee.
- 23:59I'd love to have been there and seen that. The
- 24:01image in my mind I've got is amazing. Yes. Yeah.
- 24:04Yeah. And I've done that actually. One time I
- 24:07spit on my keyboard, which was awful. Time got
- 24:11away from me last week. That episode, along with
- 24:14this new one, were blessings poured out into
- 24:16my account. Oh, bless you. Yeah, the transparency
- 24:20and personal suffering and the wisdom learned
- 24:22was more than moving. Listening to the both of
- 24:25you speak is like sweet music to my ears, food
- 24:28for my soul and movement to my heart. Love y
- 24:32'all and thankful for you. Oh, I love you too.
- 24:35And this is what, you know, this is, this is
- 24:37all glory to God. When we, you know, Brooke and
- 24:39I have said so many times, all we want to be
- 24:41is a channel, the conduit. We want to be given
- 24:43that privilege and honor. of helping our brothers
- 24:46and sisters you know it's not us boasting and
- 24:49climbing up the pyramid it's us on that same
- 24:51line god does doesn't favor anybody but what
- 24:54you have you give and and to hear the responses
- 24:57and to hear that you're feeding me you know this
- 25:01is an exchange going on here it's not it's not
- 25:04us going yes thank you for that it's us going
- 25:07lord you know i'm so humbled by the comments
- 25:10that it Like I said, I've never had this opportunity
- 25:13before in my life. I've got to my age now and
- 25:16I've never had that opportunity and I have and
- 25:18in the comments, you know, it's almost like God
- 25:20is pouring out upon me so much of him that I
- 25:25am. I don't know what to do with it. I'm literally
- 25:29speechless. I am and I thank you for those comments.
- 25:32They mean so much to me. Yes, and he's not even
- 25:35done. There's more. He says. Among the many things
- 25:39that could be said about this episode. I'll simply
- 25:42say that it reminded me of the quote My stupid
- 25:46phone. Hold on a second. He says it reminded
- 25:48me of the quote foolishness and weakness of God
- 25:52wink wink a foolishness and weakness that is
- 25:56wiser than men and Stronger than men and a working
- 26:00that no one would ordinarily expect keep shining
- 26:03my rock star brother and sister. Oh bless you
- 26:06Alan That's amazing. You know, you think of that,
- 26:09you think of that scripture, you know, you're
- 26:11talking about the foolish. Hey, Elaine, I'm sorry
- 26:12to interrupt you. I got somebody at my door,
- 26:14but talk amongst yourselves. I'll be right back.
- 26:16I go to my door. Yes, yes. I would carry on.
- 26:19At seven thirty in the morning. Who is at my
- 26:21door? I know it's not my family. Somebody in
- 26:24my family come running up in here. I'll be right
- 26:26back. No, I was thinking, Alan, what was I thinking?
- 26:30I've got a Bob moment there. Oh, I've never seen
- 26:32this before. Yeah. What was he saying? Oh my
- 26:37gosh. Oh, yes. Finally, it always comes back
- 26:42to me. Thank you, Lord. You know, you're talking
- 26:45about the foolish in wisdom, but you know, wink,
- 26:48wink. Thinking of that scripture where, you know,
- 26:49he says that God chose the foolish things of
- 26:51the world to put the wise to shame. You know,
- 26:54and it's strange really that in our foolishness
- 26:57that the world sees us as, that we have the wisdom
- 26:59of God that elevates us, you know, and that is
- 27:03the double foolishness of the world. that they
- 27:06think we're fools and they can't even see the
- 27:07wisdom that God has given to fools and they still
- 27:10see it as foolishness. You know, and you just,
- 27:15you have to bow your head in, I don't know, humility
- 27:20to the beauty of this person that we call daddy.
- 27:28You know, sometimes you just stop. Because there's
- 27:35nothing to say. Have you ever sat there and read
- 27:37a scripture and it's impacted you to the point
- 27:41where you literally are? There's no words to
- 27:44say. Oh, and here we have the man in blue coming
- 27:48back again. Was it a Jehovah's Witness, was it?
- 27:53It was. It was not. It was. No, it wasn't. I
- 27:57asked them. I said, do you know why? I'll tell
- 27:59you why it was like that then, reeling me in.
- 28:01I said, do you know why Jehovah's Witnesses have
- 28:05inverted nipples? And they were like, what? And
- 28:07I said, get off my porch. That's so wrong. Who
- 28:13was it then? No, family. Just family. Yeah, so
- 28:16I live. It's okay. I've got family that live
- 28:19not far from here. We all like on this large
- 28:22plot of land. And my wife actually made me a
- 28:26sign that she puts on the outside of the door
- 28:28to remind my family whenever I'm recording. But
- 28:32I'm the idiot who didn't put it on the door.
- 28:34That's on me. Well, that's all right. They could
- 28:36have come in and said hello. So I get to again,
- 28:39whenever I edit this, I get to go back and see
- 28:41what Elaine said. I wish she would just sing
- 28:42me a song, Elaine. Oh, right. Well, let's do
- 28:45that one day then think of something whatever
- 28:46I get to think of something I I yeah, we I will
- 28:49do I will do one day I'll sing you a song Right.
- 28:52Okay. Thank you. All right. Let's get into this
- 28:55We've gone 30 minutes talking about comments,
- 28:56but it was worth every second guys, please keep
- 28:59commenting Yeah, those of you who are watching
- 29:01if look if you want to comment great if you don't
- 29:05we understand but also When you join in you give
- 29:08us a list of people to pray for and we we will
- 29:11talk to the Lord Hi That's it, you know, that's
- 29:17right. Yeah. Yes, we want to build we want to
- 29:20build a community here We're using a tree on
- 29:22as as that and I don't want to get confused with
- 29:26money Some people get that can be people who
- 29:28have asked me that they wanted to help me with
- 29:30my content creation This is where that happens
- 29:33is a patreon, but it is not a requirement. I've
- 29:35made it very clear It is not a requirement. Some
- 29:38people want to give a lot. Some people don't
- 29:41some people can't All of you are equal. All of
- 29:45you here are equal. We're not charging for this.
- 29:48This is just something, you know, we want even
- 29:50just gather even just by their presence here.
- 29:53They're enriching me. Yes. And that's exactly
- 29:55what I know that God will always give you what
- 29:57you need to keep going. Yes, absolutely. All
- 30:01right. So let's set the stage for chapter 28
- 30:04and then we'll let Elaine read with that beautiful
- 30:07English accent that she's got. Oh dear, oh dear.
- 30:09You know, they love it. So you might as well
- 30:10go ahead and live in it. They love it. Oh, yes.
- 30:12I'll bask in the glory. Bask in the glory. Just
- 30:16remember, I dressed. From my head. Since you're
- 30:19in England, I dressed with like I didn't wear
- 30:22a hat. I didn't wear a sweatshirt. Like I dressed
- 30:23all nice. This is an English tea setting we got
- 30:26going on here. Well, that's very good. I'm really
- 30:28pleased to see the lack of the hat and the attire
- 30:32sort of like stepped up a notch. Next week I
- 30:36want a shirt and tie. Yeah. Hey, I've done it.
- 30:39I've done it. All right. The failure of human
- 30:44wisdom. Let me say it that way the failure of
- 30:47human wisdom up to this point All the way up
- 30:50to chapter 27 other than what Job is saying out
- 30:52loud because he's in his suffering What you have
- 30:55is you've got Eliphaz which is wisdom from experience.
- 30:58We learned that you got build that which was
- 31:00wisdom purely from tradition We saw that so far
- 31:04his wisdom was from certainty and he shut down
- 31:06pretty fast and Job is still just wrestling honestly
- 31:10with God But when we get into chapter 28, there's
- 31:14going to be a key transition point in about the
- 31:17middle of it. Okay. And I want you to listen
- 31:19for it. He says, where shall wisdom be found
- 31:22and where is the place of understanding? That
- 31:24is such a key thing. When you go back, do me
- 31:27a favor after Elaine reads this, if you want,
- 31:29go back and read again in chapter one and chapter
- 31:32two, what Job went through. Just go back to his
- 31:36traumatic experience. Go back to that. And then
- 31:40you can understand a little bit more when he's
- 31:42saying, where shall wisdom be found? Why is wisdom
- 31:46being brought up in this in regard to his trauma?
- 31:48Why? It's like a rhetorical question, really,
- 31:51isn't it? It really is. Yeah. That's a thinking
- 31:55question. It is. So probably something he's never
- 32:00really thought about before. I would say. I'm
- 32:04going to get into this later, but this is what's
- 32:06kind of weird. And I will. I'll try to break
- 32:07this down. We might. This might be an hour and
- 32:09a half long session. I'm sorry, but this is what
- 32:11it is. When you read the proverbs. Oh, you've
- 32:15been very forceful there, Rick. Yeah, sorry.
- 32:18The proverbs, the pro the proverbs are talking
- 32:21about building up to wisdom. It's building up
- 32:26to it. OK. But in Job, it's the opposite. It's
- 32:29the tearing down to it. Okay, so it's like the
- 32:33different ways in which you can get to wisdom,
- 32:35but where is it found? That tearing down bit,
- 32:38this is what we were speaking about, the walls
- 32:40that God comes, the bricks that comes, He takes
- 32:44them down. This is why I said to you, I'm thankful
- 32:46to God for you and what I've learned in the spiritual
- 32:49over the physical. It's so critical to understanding
- 32:51what the tearing down is. It is, it is. It's
- 32:55not a tearing down of, you know, it's tearing
- 32:58down of what you've built in yourself through
- 33:00your experiences. how you see things, the walls
- 33:03that you've placed around something. You think
- 33:04you've got it just about right. God comes along.
- 33:07You got to take these bricks down. That's none
- 33:09of me at all. I mean, what man at his best in
- 33:13ancient history built a ziggurat in Babel because
- 33:17they wanted to make a name for themselves. They
- 33:18wanted to be the end of the heavens. And God
- 33:21said no and frustrated because man's knowledge
- 33:25apart from God. Always leads to evil continually.
- 33:30That is what happens when you leave man to his
- 33:32own devices You were out answering the door that
- 33:35that ties in all this so you'll be sort of pleasantly
- 33:37surprised I've got to be surprised. Yeah, you
- 33:40and I are always on the same page some way. We
- 33:42are so funny All right, that's the spirit of
- 33:45God to lead us. So yes Yep, and we did right
- 33:48before we started didn't we? We did. We asked
- 33:49the Lord to help us. Alright, Job chapter 28.
- 33:51If you would Elaine, read the entire chapter.
- 33:53Guys, put away your devices. If you're driving,
- 33:56keep your eyes on the road. Don't shut your eyes,
- 33:58but really listen intently. Pay close attention
- 34:00to where I said in verse 12, that middle point.
- 34:03Listen closely to what Job says here. It is remarkable.
- 34:09There are mines for silver and places where gold
- 34:12is refined. Iron is extracted from the earth
- 34:16and copper is smelted from ore. Minders conquer
- 34:19the darkness and dig as far in as they can to
- 34:22the ore in gloom and deep darkness. There, where
- 34:27no one lives, they break open a shaft, the feet
- 34:30passing over are oblivious to them. Far from
- 34:34the people suspended in space, they swing to
- 34:37and fro while the earth is peacefully yielding
- 34:41bread underneath. It is being convulsed as if
- 34:44by fire. Its rocks have veins of sapphire and
- 34:48there are flecks of gold. Birds of prey don't
- 34:51know that path. No falcon's eye has seen it.
- 34:55The proud beasts has never set foot on it. No
- 34:58lion has ever passed over it. The miner attacks
- 35:02the flint, overturns mountains at their roots
- 35:05and cuts out galleries in the rock. All the while
- 35:09watching for something of value. He damns up
- 35:13streams to keep them from flooding and brings
- 35:15what is hidden out into the light. But where
- 35:19can wisdom be found? Where is the source of understanding?
- 35:24No one knows its value and it can't be found
- 35:27in the land of the living. The deep says it isn't
- 35:31in me and the sea says it isn't with me. It can't
- 35:35be obtained with gold, nor can silver be weighed
- 35:37out to buy it. It can't be purchased with choice
- 35:40gold from Ophir, or with precious onyx or sapphire.
- 35:44Neither gold nor glass can be compared with it,
- 35:47nor can it be exchanged for a bowl of fine gold,
- 35:51let alone coral or crystal. For indeed, the price
- 35:55of wisdom above is that of pearls. It can't be
- 35:59compared with Ethiopian topaz, and it can't be
- 36:02valued with pure gold. So where does wisdom come
- 36:06from? Where is the source of understanding in
- 36:09as much as it is hidden from the eyes of all
- 36:12living and kept secret from the birds flying
- 36:15around in the sky? Destruction and death say
- 36:18we've heard a rumor about it with our ears God
- 36:22understands its way and he knows its place For
- 36:26he can see to the ends of the earth and view
- 36:29everything under heaven when he determined the
- 36:31force of the wind and parceled out water by measure
- 36:34when he made a law for the rain and cleared a
- 36:37path for the thunderbolts. Then he saw wisdom
- 36:40and declared it. Yes, he set it up and searched
- 36:43it out. And to humans being, he said, look, fear
- 36:48of Adonai's wisdom, shunning evil is understanding.
- 36:56Boy, that should sound a lot like Solomon. And
- 37:00it does. It sounds a lot like the Psalms, doesn't
- 37:03it? It sounds a lot like the Proverbs. The stove
- 37:05is driving down to the core of this thing driving
- 37:08down he's talking about mining right as soon
- 37:10as he kicks you know kicks in my man mine silver.
- 37:14Gold iron copper is able to he puts it into our
- 37:19goes down it creates the shafts right. The things
- 37:23that are hidden he goes down in he brings it
- 37:25out to light and and he's showing us that humanity
- 37:28is absolutely Incredible when it comes to discovery.
- 37:31It's amazing. This is amazing to me I have a
- 37:34feeling that Joe part of his wealth comes from
- 37:36being a miner. He knows this right? Remember,
- 37:39he's the greatest man in the East He owned all
- 37:41this stuff, but he was probably involved in mining
- 37:44too. That's how he knows this And what he's saying
- 37:48is that we can uncover what's buried In creation,
- 37:53we have that capability. Man can find everything
- 37:58that is hidden on the earth or possibly even
- 38:00in the oceans like the pearls. Then why can't
- 38:03he find wisdom? Right? He's showing that we are
- 38:06limited. We are when it comes to this. He is
- 38:11showing he's showing us that. And because we're
- 38:14reading it now with the understanding that we
- 38:16have, I also think that he is. using these things
- 38:20like the darkness, the deep, the sea, precious
- 38:26stones. I think that he's, again, for me, I always
- 38:30see things going back to the Garden of Eden.
- 38:33I see the air flaming swords, you know, that
- 38:37they're going every which way. And I think that
- 38:39what he's saying there, that, you know, you can
- 38:41mine information, wisdom, earthly, but you cannot...
- 38:47get that wisdom or that understanding, that spiritual
- 38:51state that takes you back to what the true understanding
- 38:54and knowledge is. I think that without him understanding
- 39:00or knowing that that is exactly what's happening
- 39:03here, I think that because we understand what's
- 39:05going on, I think he talks about the animals.
- 39:08I think he talks about the birds of prey don't
- 39:12know that path. I mean, you look at it like a
- 39:14bird. It can see but for two miles away that
- 39:18is incredible sight but it doesn't really understand
- 39:21um it talks about you know um the uh um the proud
- 39:26beasts they don't set eye on it you know they're
- 39:29not humble these proud people think they know
- 39:31everything and then you've got the lion you know
- 39:33he's he's incredibly powerful and strong you
- 39:36know the the leader of the jungle but he hasn't
- 39:38got the answer either and i think let me we talk
- 39:41about people being having these qualities You
- 39:43know, having this, this sort of this depth. I
- 39:45mean, how many people out there think that they
- 39:47have extreme wisdom? Well, they don't. It's only
- 39:50when that comment that I made, you know, it's
- 39:52only that God chose the foolish things of the
- 39:53world. I know that I don't know anything. And
- 39:57I'm not a lion. I'm not a bird of prey. I'm none
- 40:00of those things that look like they are. But
- 40:03I understand that I'm not. But in that understanding
- 40:06of foolishness, God gives me His wisdom and His
- 40:10wisdom pulls me up. I don't have any of my own.
- 40:13And that's what Joe was pointing them to he's
- 40:16gradually understanding that yes There's all
- 40:17these things that you can mind this you can get
- 40:19that flex ago go really deep down to those But
- 40:22you can't get it. You can't go anywhere to get
- 40:25it. It's barred from you. The only thing you
- 40:28can get it is going back. Don't be on Wisdom
- 40:32isn't just hidden. Wisdom's not just hidden.
- 40:35It's beyond the reach of human discovery. He's
- 40:38trying to point this out like humans cannot do
- 40:41this. No, he's barred. Barred, just like you
- 40:45said. Do you know what? I'm going to have to
- 40:48sort of run and change my thing again. I mean,
- 40:50you're going to have to have a talk amongst yourselves
- 40:52moments as well. Carry on as you were, Rick.
- 40:54Because I think my I don't know what's going
- 40:56on with my it's saying. um running out of charge
- 41:00but oh there it is it's gone back in again so
- 41:04i might be all right with that it might be yeah
- 41:07i'll have to sort of as i said if you can see
- 41:09what i'm working with it's ridiculous but hey
- 41:10harry you know it needs some past look what i'm
- 41:13working with at least you're beautiful yeah me
- 41:15all right so that's right all right here we go
- 41:19so We pretty much covered all the way up to verse
- 41:2214. That's what she just said. It's out of reach
- 41:26of human discovery, but it's even beyond that.
- 41:30There's even a failure of wealth involved in
- 41:32this verse 15 through 19. He's telling us what
- 41:36can't be purchased. It cannot be bought with
- 41:38gold or silver. It can't be bought. You can mine
- 41:41and not find it. And once you've mined it and
- 41:43brought it out, you can't buy it either. You
- 41:45can't buy the gold or silver. It's not equal
- 41:48to onyx, sapphire, tophi's. Tofaz and the price
- 41:51of wisdom is above pearls. Yeah, exactly. It
- 41:54doesn't remind you what Jesus says in Revelation
- 41:56buy from me gold refined And you can get it free
- 42:01you're buying it for free And it's the most perfect
- 42:05gold in the world It's Christ It's everything
- 42:08that he is. It's his image That's the owner.
- 42:12It's just wonderful. That's what what what Job
- 42:15has mined or been torn down to or gotten to the
- 42:19root of here is that wisdom cannot be earned.
- 42:23It cannot be mine and it cannot be bought. So
- 42:26whatever we're talking about here. And to be
- 42:29honest with you, it's not in the origin of man
- 42:31either. No, it belongs to a completely different
- 42:35category. It's not even within the that's right.
- 42:39All right. So what Job is saying in verse 23
- 42:43and 24, Is that God understands the way to it?
- 42:49He sees all the creation. He's ordered the wind,
- 42:53the water, the rain, the lightning. Again, I
- 42:56believe God does all of those things. He understands
- 42:59it and it's rooted in God's ordering of creation.
- 43:04Just like you said, it goes back to Genesis.
- 43:06It's all rooted in God's ordering of creation.
- 43:10He doesn't discover wisdom. God establishes wisdom.
- 43:15There's right? Yes. A lot of people might say,
- 43:18well, that's easy. That's easy to say about God.
- 43:21Guys, this is really where it's at. This is where
- 43:25it's at, not only for the book of Job, but for
- 43:27all of creation now, forever, forever. Exactly.
- 43:33And I just think again, it's just this echoes
- 43:36appointed towards Christ. It said God understands
- 43:39its way and he knows its place. And I think all
- 43:43the scriptures are pointing to Christ. All the
- 43:46scriptures are pointing to that moment in time
- 43:48when he came. This is the one that understands.
- 43:50He says, I am the way, the truth and the life.
- 43:54This is what he's saying. I know its place. I
- 43:57know where these things are. I can take away
- 44:00those flaming sores and give you entry into that
- 44:03place where wisdom resides. I can give you entry
- 44:06into the true spirit of God that gives wisdom.
- 44:09Become foolish so that you can become wise and
- 44:12this is what james doing Yes And that is foolish.
- 44:18Yeah, and and that that's what's critical and
- 44:20you remember I said that Looking at it through
- 44:23the eyes of job. It's through the tearing down
- 44:25of somebody that was great to get to the root
- 44:28So that means that even at his greatest job didn't
- 44:31know this job job doesn't understand this part.
- 44:34He's learned this through his suffering That's
- 44:37where we are so far in job. Just chapter 28 and
- 44:41that's why I would say no matter what you're
- 44:43going through in your life people commented What
- 44:46are you learning through this? Right? What are
- 44:49you getting from learning through it? And do
- 44:51you know from whence it comes? That's the important
- 44:53part too Elaine would you mind doing a little
- 44:56bit of Bible drill reading for me this morning,
- 44:59right? Okay Proverbs chapter two, verse six.
- 45:02Would you read that? So let's get into the wisdom
- 45:05literature from Solomon's time. Again, you guys
- 45:09know what I say about Job. I think that it was
- 45:11written either by Solomon or after Solomon or
- 45:13put back. It could have been written during Moses's
- 45:15time because, you know, he had a conversation
- 45:17with the Lord all the time. So who knows? But
- 45:20this comes from the Lord. This book is from the
- 45:22Lord. All right. So Proverbs chapter two, verse
- 45:25six. It says for Adonai gives wisdom. From his
- 45:29mouth comes knowledge and understanding. That's
- 45:32right. Actually, let's go one chapter back. Go
- 45:35to chapter one, verse seven. Right. It's going
- 45:39to sound a lot like what Job just said at the
- 45:42end of 28. Listen to what he says here in Proverbs
- 45:45one, seven. The fear of Adonai is the beginning
- 45:49of knowledge, but fools. Keep going. All right.
- 45:54But fools despise wisdom and discipline. Alright
- 45:58so the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
- 46:03But then he speaks about wisdom being sort of
- 46:06scoffed at okay that's proverbs is a master builder
- 46:11he Solomon is a master builder God. Stands with
- 46:16Solomon and he masterfully builds God's temple
- 46:18on the earth he does exactly. what he's supposed
- 46:22to do and God does come and visit it. Now we
- 46:24know that God doesn't reside in houses made with
- 46:26hands, but in that time frame, this is when God's
- 46:30revealing himself to Solomon, right? So think
- 46:33of Solomon as a master builder and think of Job
- 46:36as a guy that's been masterfully torn down. We're
- 46:39getting back. So think of it kind of like a chiasm,
- 46:42right? You got a chiasm where you have the top
- 46:44and then you have the bottom and it gets to the
- 46:46point. So from the tearing down to the building
- 46:49up, you get to that same point. The fear of the
- 46:52Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of
- 46:54the Lord is wisdom. The fear of the Lord is wisdom.
- 46:59Like you please understand what I'm saying. Do
- 47:02you mind to go to chapter nine, verse 10? Yeah.
- 47:06Chapter nine of verse 10. Yeah. Proverbs nine,
- 47:09verse 10. Proverbs, Proverbs nine, verse ten.
- 47:14It says the fear of Adonai is the beginning of
- 47:17wisdom and knowledge of holy ones is understanding.
- 47:22All right. So did you notice how in chapter one,
- 47:24verse seven, he says the fear of the Lord is
- 47:26the beginning of knowledge and then he mentions
- 47:29wisdom. Now, when you get to chapter nine, verse
- 47:31ten, you notice how he reverses that the fear
- 47:33of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and then
- 47:36knowledge. You see how he flips those. OK, again.
- 47:40If I could just read prior to that one about
- 47:43verse 10 of 9, just by the way it says, you know,
- 47:47if you reprove a scoffer, this is verse 8 and
- 47:499, if you reprove a scoffer, he will hate you.
- 47:53If you reprove a wise man, he will love you.
- 47:56Give to a wise man and he grows still wiser.
- 48:00Teach a righteous man and he will learn still
- 48:03more. And then he says, the fear of Adonai is
- 48:06the beginning of that wisdom and knowledge of
- 48:08holy ones. is understanding. And that's the whole
- 48:12thing, isn't it? This is, you know, this is what
- 48:15I brought up when you were at the door, you know,
- 48:16that God chose the foolish things of the world
- 48:18to put the wise to shame. But it's when you become
- 48:20foolish, that's when you become wise. But even
- 48:22then, the foolish still, that consider themselves
- 48:26to be wise, still look at you as being foolish.
- 48:29Yeah, it's kind of a lot of double -edged sword
- 48:32of the foolishness it is it is and it's kind
- 48:34of a cliche to say it like this So let me say
- 48:36it like this Elon Musk is the richest man on
- 48:40planet Earth when it comes to money That's true
- 48:45material. I feel like I'm the richest man on
- 48:47the earth because of everything that the Lord
- 48:49has been giving me in my life Amen, I'm at the
- 48:52lowest of the low right now That's all I can
- 48:55say and it's fully within the physical you are
- 48:57in the spiritual like he says you the gold of
- 49:01offer nothing What can you what you what can
- 49:03you buy nothing? What can you what can you give
- 49:05to God that he hasn't already given to you? You've
- 49:06got everything so that is everything when you
- 49:09recognize that that is that is true riches You
- 49:12know Jesus said dig for the tree like we're doing
- 49:14we're digging into Joe dig for it as you would
- 49:17for hidden treasure And this is it. This is hidden
- 49:19treasure. We and we can hold it up and we can
- 49:21look at it We can discuss it and we can just
- 49:23speak the light that's shining off it in the
- 49:25different facets, and you just think to yourself,
- 49:27my gosh, you know, this is, this is such purity,
- 49:31and I'm beholding it, and I'm seeing it, and
- 49:34I'm understanding it, it's entering my very spirit,
- 49:36you know. Yes, it is. Shaping us internally.
- 49:40I love that. These facets. Absolutely. That that's
- 49:45exactly what I feel like my life has been since
- 49:49since really since Hurricane Helene here is when
- 49:52it really started kicking in. But I can see a
- 49:54little bit before that. I can see Helene was
- 49:56part of it. I can see this gradual being reduced
- 50:00to the dust and then getting to this place now
- 50:03where I'm at. I'm literally learning at the same
- 50:05time that I'm that job is learning it, which
- 50:07is just mind boggling to me. Praise the Lord
- 50:10God Almighty for doing that. And thank you, Elaine
- 50:12and all of you guys. Yeah. If you would go to
- 50:15song 111 song 111 we're gonna work through this
- 50:18idea of wisdom here because this is a very important
- 50:21thing i want all of us to get it we gotta get
- 50:23this i'm thankful to the lord that i'm getting
- 50:26it and i hope that all of you guys will along
- 50:29with me so song 111. Psalm one verse eleven no
- 50:34song 111 oh sorry i think it's on one right hang
- 50:38in a minute yeah well it all sounds the same
- 50:42song one. Yes, that's right. Psalm 111, colon
- 50:4710. I'd be a little bit more wise than you would
- 50:49have thought of that. I would have said Psalm
- 50:51111, just to clarify. 111. Thank you. You're
- 50:55right. Psalm 111. Oh dear. Oh, we are funny.
- 51:01Right. Psalm 111 verse 10. 10. The first and
- 51:05foremost point of wisdom is the fear of Adonai.
- 51:10All those living by it gain good common sense.
- 51:13His praise stands forever. Okay. So didn't he
- 51:18just say all? My phone is going again. I don't
- 51:21know what's wrong with it. Hang on people. It's
- 51:24okay. The Psalmist here is saying of all things,
- 51:30the fear of the Lord. Right? Read that one more
- 51:34time. The very beginning of it. The first and
- 51:37foremost point of wisdom is the fear of Adonai.
- 51:41All right. That's it. The first and foremost
- 51:46point of wisdom is the fear of Adonai with fear
- 51:49of the Lord So you got it from the psalmist you
- 51:52got it from the writer of Proverbs Now let's
- 51:56continue with Solomon's thinking. Do you care
- 51:58to go to? Ecclesiastes chapter 8 verse 17 Ecclesiastes
- 52:05so the preacher Solomon the preacher sits down
- 52:09and writes vanity vanity everything is vanity
- 52:12but Ecclesiastes is one of my favorite books.
- 52:16It's quite, it's a very remarkable book. And
- 52:18I have a feeling that Elaine and I will go through
- 52:20that book again one day together. I would love
- 52:23to do that. But Ecclesiastes chapter eight, listen
- 52:26to the limits, the limits. He points out, this
- 52:31is a man that has done everything under the sun
- 52:34and is a master builder. Ecclesiastes 8, 17.
- 52:39You're probably having a problem finding it in
- 52:40the clean, polite Jewish Bible because it's so...
- 52:43I am. I am. I am. There we are. I've got it.
- 52:46Yeah, it's under Colette. Yeah. Chapter 8. Chapter
- 52:548, verse 17. Verse 17. It says. Then on looking
- 53:05over all of God's work, I realized that it is
- 53:08impossible to grasp all the activity taking place
- 53:11under the sun, because even if a person works
- 53:14hard at searching it out, he won't grasp it.
- 53:18And even if a wise person thinks he knows it,
- 53:21he still won't be able to grasp it. To catch
- 53:25that really is the bottom line, isn't it? Uh
- 53:28huh. That's right. So what is he so so he's saying
- 53:31something that Again, nothing new to the Sun.
- 53:33He's making it very very clear that whatever
- 53:36it is He's talking about that he's grasping this
- 53:39comes from the Lord if you would go over to chapter
- 53:4112 in that same book I am your little sausage.
- 53:46I've just put it down and gone back to Joe. I've
- 53:48got it. I've got it Alright chapter 12 verse
- 53:5113. So listen to what he says is the final word
- 53:55on wisdom. This is the builder I do too. I do
- 53:59here is the final conclusion Now that you have
- 54:03heard everything, fear God and keep his commands.
- 54:07For this is what being human is all about. Catch
- 54:13that. Again, not only is... I do think this complete
- 54:19Jewish Bible really lays it out a little bit
- 54:21sort of more simply and more deeply somehow.
- 54:28Yeah, I think so. What does it say in yours,
- 54:30Rick? Let me go to it. Ecclesiastes chapter 12.
- 54:34Yep. All right. Ecclesiastes chapter 12 verse
- 54:4113. Yeah. The conclusion when all has been heard
- 54:47is fear God and keep his commandments because
- 54:50this applies to every person. Right. Now, what
- 54:55was that last scripture that you read out, Rick?
- 54:58Well, I read out. What was it? Chapter what?
- 55:00Chapter eight, chapter eight, verse seven. Seventeen.
- 55:07Seventeen. Right. Oh, wait a minute. Was it 17?
- 55:12Yeah. Ecclesiastes eight. Seventeen. What was
- 55:14it before that? Psalm one one hundred and eleven
- 55:19verse ten. Well, let's look at Psalm one hundred
- 55:22and eleven verse ten, because I thought that
- 55:23there was a good point there in Psalm one hundred
- 55:26and eleven verse ten. I will go to Psalm 111
- 55:30verse 10 myself in mind. I think it's I think
- 55:35it's excellent here where the Psalmist says the
- 55:39first and foremost point of wisdom is the fear
- 55:43of Adonai. So that's the first and foremost point.
- 55:46Was that in Psalm 111? That is Psalm 111 and
- 55:50verse. Mine doesn't say the first and foremost.
- 55:52Mine just says the fear of the Lord is the beginning
- 55:54of wisdom. That's what mine says. No, mine says
- 55:57the first and foremost point of wisdom is the
- 55:59fear of Adonai. But here we have in Ecclesiastes,
- 56:03he's saying he is the final conclusion. So we've
- 56:07got the first point is, yeah, that's what you've
- 56:09got to start with. But the final conclusion,
- 56:12everything being heard and being, this is what
- 56:16human being human is about, fear God and keep
- 56:19his commands. And now, let's face it, what does
- 56:22the Lord say? What are the greatest commands?
- 56:26He says to love God with all your heart, soul,
- 56:28mind and power and to love your neighbor as yourself.
- 56:32Against such things, there is no law. So here
- 56:34we have fearing God and keeping his commands.
- 56:37So then we have these commands built in here.
- 56:40That is the final say on anything. Yes. All right.
- 56:44So you heard it here, folks, but listen, Elaine,
- 56:49Brilliant listen to this you just unlocked what
- 56:52was basically the whole point that i'm trying
- 56:55to bring in job twenty eight listen to how job
- 56:58says it. Remember the building up i'm gonna go
- 57:01to a builder i'm gonna go to bezel here in just
- 57:03a minute and talk about a builder who works alongside
- 57:06and we're gonna get to jesus but i want you to
- 57:08read again. And I'm going to read it in mind
- 57:11too, but I want you to read again. Job 28 verse
- 57:1428 and listen to how Job says it. Cause you said
- 57:17you got the first and foremost and you got the
- 57:20final conclusion. Yes. Listen to how Job says
- 57:23it. And to human beings. He said, look, fear
- 57:28of Adonai is wisdom. Shunning evil is understanding.
- 57:33The end. It's not the beginning. It's not the
- 57:36conclusion. Fear of the Lord is wisdom. Fear
- 57:42of the Lord is wisdom. Okay, so it's the beginning.
- 57:45It's the end. Do you know what it is, Rick? It's
- 57:47a state of being. Yes. It's a state of being.
- 57:51It is how it you guys remember me talking about
- 57:55heart posture, heart posture, heart posture,
- 57:58the heart of man. Earlier, Elaine said, if you
- 58:00don't resist the Holy Spirit, Guys, we have worked
- 58:06down to the creamy nougat of this three musketeers
- 58:08bar. We're in the middle here. Like, this is
- 58:10where it's at, guys. The fear of the Lord is
- 58:13the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord
- 58:15is wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the conclusion
- 58:17of it. And what does he say? Depart from evil
- 58:20is understanding. Do not resist the Holy Spirit,
- 58:23but resist the devil and he will flee from you
- 58:25is the way that they said it in the New Testament.
- 58:28Right. OK, now. If you would elate go to exodus
- 58:3231 I want to show you. A very early on idea here
- 58:38okay so remember I tell you I've been telling
- 58:40you this is outside of the covenant. But I want
- 58:43you to read something about the beginning of
- 58:45the the heaven and earth covenant of Sinai and
- 58:47this is so fascinating is exodus chapter 31 verse
- 58:523 I'm going to turn there to 31 verse 3. And
- 59:00I want you guys to do actually you just read
- 59:03one through three, right? Well, hold on One through
- 59:10five read Exodus 31 one through five. It makes
- 59:13more sense if you say it like this One through
- 59:18what five Exodus 31 one through five, right?
- 59:22It says Adonai said to Moshe I have singled out,
- 59:26but Zell ill the son of Yuri, the son of her,
- 59:31of the tribe of Judah. I have filled him with
- 59:35the spirit of God, with wisdom and understanding
- 59:39and knowledge concerning every kind of artisanry.
- 59:44He is a master designer of gold, of silver, of
- 59:49bronze, cutting precious stones to be set, wood
- 59:53carving, and every other craft. Now, can you
- 59:56please look up what does, you've got it, what
- 1:00:01is it written in yours in English? It says Bezalel,
- 1:00:05and I wanted to bring him up on purpose. You
- 1:00:07want to look up the word? Can you have a little
- 1:00:09look? Well, can you say what does that mean in
- 1:00:11Hebrew, please? Yeah, let me pull it up. Give
- 1:00:14me one second. So Exodus 31. So while I'm looking
- 1:00:17it up, I want to point something. If you guys
- 1:00:19didn't see it, I'd be shocked, but notice that
- 1:00:22the master builder of this house, do you see
- 1:00:24what tribe he's coming from? What tribe? Judah.
- 1:00:29Isn't that interesting? Somebody that's coming
- 1:00:31up out of Judah that's going to build a house
- 1:00:33and he's going to be a master builder. And I
- 1:00:37filled him with the spirit of God. That's interesting.
- 1:00:39It says I filled him. Normally the spirit rested
- 1:00:41on them and then left. Yes, but he filled it.
- 1:00:45In order to do the work, in order to do the work,
- 1:00:49this man had to be filled by God in order to
- 1:00:51do it. That's the wisdom. Listen. Verse three,
- 1:00:55I have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom
- 1:00:58and in understanding and in knowledge and in
- 1:01:00all manner of workmanship. So God puts all of
- 1:01:03these together in the master builder. You guys
- 1:01:05are going to see this master builder later on
- 1:01:08in the New Testament. So Bazaliel, Bazaleel,
- 1:01:11Bazaleel, it means shadow of God. Well, I'll
- 1:01:17tell you what is obviously is a shadow and the
- 1:01:23The physical of what is going to come in the
- 1:01:26spiritual. It's only a shadow because it's the
- 1:01:28reality that casts a shadow. So he's picking
- 1:01:32up what we're laying down. Are you guys picking
- 1:01:34this up? All right. So in the Proverbs, wisdom
- 1:01:36is taught in Ecclesiastes. Wisdom is tested in
- 1:01:40Job. Wisdom is stripped down to its core. That's
- 1:01:45what's happening in Job chapter 28. All right
- 1:01:47now. And Proverbs 8 chapter 30 or chapter chapter
- 1:01:528 verse 30 says then I was beside him like a
- 1:01:54master builder Let's let's go to Proverbs chapter
- 1:01:568 you guys should know Proverbs 8 Proverbs 8
- 1:02:00pretty fascinating I might even share the script
- 1:02:04now. I'm not gonna serve the screen. Just get
- 1:02:05your Bibles guys Proverbs chapter 8 it's good
- 1:02:08to get your Bibles get your Bibles out Proverbs
- 1:02:11chapter 8 Do you know what I think when you read
- 1:02:14that with the with the word shadow in there?
- 1:02:16It says, as I said to Moses, I have singled out
- 1:02:20a shadow to do all these things. And that's what
- 1:02:25I'm saying. And this is why I say to people,
- 1:02:26please look up words, look up what they mean
- 1:02:29in Hebrew, because you will get a great idea
- 1:02:32of what they're conveying to you. They're hiding
- 1:02:36something that will be exposed at a later date.
- 1:02:38So when you see the which is exposed, you can
- 1:02:41go back and go, that's what it was. That's what
- 1:02:44it meant. That's right. That's if you do anything,
- 1:02:47look up the names of people. So all right. Rather
- 1:02:51than we don't have time, I'm sorry, we just don't
- 1:02:54have time for the study to do this. So I'm going
- 1:02:55to ask you guys to do some homework. Go back
- 1:02:58and read Proverbs chapter eight, because I think
- 1:03:00there's like 30 verses in here or more. Let me
- 1:03:03see. No, there's 36 verses and it's about wisdom.
- 1:03:07And it's given the female pronoun she and that.
- 1:03:12Oh, I love that. I do, too. I love that. You
- 1:03:16should. You should. Absolutely. All right, guys.
- 1:03:19So I'm going to move on to the study just because
- 1:03:21of timing. We've already been at this for a little
- 1:03:23over an hour. So if you would, I'm going to go
- 1:03:28to Matthew. I'm just going to read quickly if
- 1:03:30that's OK. In Matthew, chapter 12, verse 42,
- 1:03:36you guys all know this one. You should know it.
- 1:03:39Matthew, chapter 12, verse 42 says. The Queen
- 1:03:46of the South will rise up with this generation
- 1:03:49at the judgment and will condemn it because she
- 1:03:54came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom
- 1:03:56of Solomon and behold something greater than
- 1:04:01Solomon is here. What a statement. Now, it was
- 1:04:06the wisdom of Solomon that she was seeking, but
- 1:04:09something greater than Solomon is here. All right.
- 1:04:15I've got, but what is here now is greater than
- 1:04:19Solomon. Thank you. Yeah. Let's go to John chapter
- 1:04:21five, John chapter five. And I'm going to read
- 1:04:25verse 19. This is where this is what the master
- 1:04:31builder who builds up wisdom, who understands
- 1:04:33wisdom with the first and foremost and final
- 1:04:36conclusion of wisdom and what's torn down in
- 1:04:38Job. This is where you end up. This is where
- 1:04:41you should be. John chapter 5 verse 19. Listen
- 1:04:44to what Jesus says. Therefore Jesus answered
- 1:04:47and was saying to them, truly, truly I say to
- 1:04:49you, the son can do nothing of himself unless
- 1:04:52it is something he sees the father doing. For
- 1:04:55whatever the father does, these things the son
- 1:04:58also does in like manner. For the father loves
- 1:05:02the son and shows him all things that he himself
- 1:05:05is doing. And the father will show him greater
- 1:05:08Will show him greater works than these so that
- 1:05:11you will marvel So jesus is in this this posture
- 1:05:16towards I only do what the father tells me How
- 1:05:20important is that when it comes to wisdom john
- 1:05:23chapter eight go to john chapter eight? I do
- 1:05:27like the way he puts it in mine better though
- 1:05:29rick. I do. Yeah chomp chapter eight You think
- 1:05:32that your stuff is always better? Um Well, that's
- 1:05:36not strictly true, brother. I'm just messing
- 1:05:38with you, sister. No, no, I'll take that personally
- 1:05:40now. I might tell her. Yeah, well, read it to
- 1:05:44me. Read yours, John five. The way that John
- 1:05:46five, it says John five verse 90, it says, therefore,
- 1:05:52Yeshua said this to them. Yes, indeed. I tell
- 1:05:55you, the son cannot do anything on his own, but
- 1:05:58only what he sees the father doing. Whatever
- 1:06:01the father does, the son does too. for the Father
- 1:06:05loves the Son and shows him everything he does
- 1:06:09and he will show him even greater things in these
- 1:06:12so that you will be amazed. I think it's an ongoing
- 1:06:16present that he does. Yes. You know, you said
- 1:06:20doing, but he does is a present ongoing, isn't
- 1:06:23it? That's right. Well, let's go over to John
- 1:06:25chapter 8, verse 29. I'm going to read mine while
- 1:06:27you're turning. Yep. He says, and he who sent
- 1:06:30me is with me. He has not left me alone, for
- 1:06:33I always do the things that are pleasing to him.
- 1:06:40Yeah, I've got also the one who sent me is still
- 1:06:42with me. He did not leave me to myself because
- 1:06:46I always do what pleases him. OK, so this is
- 1:06:49that again, heart posture. This is the moment
- 1:06:52the Messiah is always doing what is pleasing
- 1:06:54to the father. He is always listening to the
- 1:06:56father. But isn't it going back? Isn't it, again,
- 1:07:00I keep sort of going back to the beginning and
- 1:07:02to the end, because Jesus is the Alpha, the Omega,
- 1:07:04the first and the last, the beginning and the
- 1:07:06end. You know, isn't that sort of, isn't that
- 1:07:09he is the last Adam or the second Adam? Isn't
- 1:07:15he the one that is showing that I always do the
- 1:07:18things pleasing? I'm a son and I have obeyed
- 1:07:21him. I haven't questioned. I've obeyed him and
- 1:07:25this is the thing you know it goes back to being
- 1:07:27in obedience and this is this is what wisdom
- 1:07:30is this is what understanding is this is what
- 1:07:33knowledge applies itself to that like it says
- 1:07:38there to fear God and to keep his commands well
- 1:07:42when you do that you're obeying him and this
- 1:07:45is exactly what Christ did what Adam did in the
- 1:07:48garden close us into this you know this evil
- 1:07:51and good aspect that we don't even know ourselves
- 1:07:53which is why we have to go back to who can show
- 1:07:56us that way and it's that the state of being
- 1:07:59is to have the thoughts of god the words of god
- 1:08:02and the actions of god become that the bee attitudes
- 1:08:06in the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom
- 1:08:10and keeping his commandments adam said I'm not
- 1:08:13going to keep His commandments, therefore I don't
- 1:08:15fear the Lord, therefore I'm unwise, foolish
- 1:08:17and now in darkness. Jesus always does what the
- 1:08:19Father is doing and He reverses and redeems the
- 1:08:22bride back to God. In fact, the whole of the
- 1:08:25Bible is a chiasm. Yes, it is. So go to First
- 1:08:29Corinthians chapter one. I mean, again, you know,
- 1:08:33when you when you sort of break it all down,
- 1:08:35you see it. Well, it's a story becomes incredibly
- 1:08:38small, really. It's incredibly deep. but it's
- 1:08:41incredibly small yes in as much as when you know
- 1:08:45where everything's sort of fitting in you can
- 1:08:48look at something go oh i know what you meant
- 1:08:49there i know what you meant there because it's
- 1:08:52you're looking at it in a totally different way
- 1:08:55rather than just gaining knowledge sort of like
- 1:08:58you know here i can i could sort of reel them
- 1:09:00off it's not it's about the application what
- 1:09:03does it mean am i thinking in my spirit lord
- 1:09:05you know why did you think that why did you say
- 1:09:08that How am I supposed to utilize those things
- 1:09:12in myself so that I can live them out? Be them.
- 1:09:14I want to be them. Like Jesus said, these are
- 1:09:16the attitude. They're the attitude of being.
- 1:09:19That's what it is, isn't it? It is. That's what
- 1:09:21it is. And what I'm going to know what I'm going
- 1:09:25to read in First Corinthians, chapter one is
- 1:09:26probably what you were saying while I was away.
- 1:09:29Starting a verse 22, he says, for indeed, Jews
- 1:09:32ask for signs. Oh, yeah. and Greeks search for
- 1:09:35wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified to Jews
- 1:09:38a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,
- 1:09:42but to those who are the called, both Jews and
- 1:09:45Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom
- 1:09:50of God. Amen. Because the foolishness of God
- 1:09:53is wiser than men and the weakness of God is
- 1:09:56stronger than men. So there you see that Christ
- 1:09:59is the wisdom of God. Yeah, is a person wisdom
- 1:10:05is a person. Of course it is it's Christ That's
- 1:10:08all over you know all over the things I was fond
- 1:10:11of were the sons of men It says here in mine.
- 1:10:14What verse was you reading from 20? 20 21 I read
- 1:10:2222 through 25 Like 22 it says it might my little
- 1:10:27numbers are so tight. It's just precisely because
- 1:10:30Jews ask for signs and Greeks try to find wisdom.
- 1:10:35We go on proclaiming a messiah executed on a
- 1:10:37stake as a criminal. To Jews this is an obstacle,
- 1:10:41and to Greeks it is a nonsense. But to those
- 1:10:45who are called, both Jews and Greeks, this same
- 1:10:48messiah is God's power and God's wisdom. This
- 1:10:52messiah, this person, is wisdom personified.
- 1:10:55For God's nonsense is wiser than humanity's wisdom.
- 1:11:01I know, I do. Yes, I do. You know, God's nonsense
- 1:11:06is wiser than humanity's wisdom. And that's it.
- 1:11:09He doesn't stop there. Go to verse 30 in that
- 1:11:12same chapter, chapter one, verse 30. Listen to
- 1:11:15what he says about us. Listen closely. Verse
- 1:11:1830. It says, it is his doing that you are united
- 1:11:24with the Messiah Yeshua. He has become wisdom
- 1:11:27for us from God, and righteousness, and holiness,
- 1:11:31and redemption as well. Therefore, as the law
- 1:11:35says, let anyone who wants to boast, boast about
- 1:11:39Adam and Eve. So not only is he wisdom, he became
- 1:11:42our wisdom. Absolutely. The human being himself.
- 1:11:46Mic drop moment. To be himself. To be that. and
- 1:11:51this is this is what it says this is the image
- 1:11:54of God that Adam lost that Christ is taking us
- 1:11:57back to we need to have the mind which is to
- 1:12:01think we need to after we have the mind to analyze
- 1:12:05it and process it we need to speak it and then
- 1:12:08once we've spoken it we need to act it out and
- 1:12:10that is taking us back to the image of God and
- 1:12:13that is wisdom yep that's right now I'm going
- 1:12:18to close this one out in Isaiah chapter 11. All
- 1:12:20right, Isaiah chapter 11 has become one of my
- 1:12:23favorite chapters in all of the Bible because
- 1:12:25I see it. It's everywhere in the New Testament.
- 1:12:27I think that it links to Stephen and what he
- 1:12:30sees in the heavens. I think it links to Jesus,
- 1:12:33of course, and what I believe, of course, of
- 1:12:37course it does. So in Isaiah 11, chapter one,
- 1:12:41chapter 11, verse one and two, he says, then
- 1:12:44a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse. and
- 1:12:47a branch from his roots will bear fruit, the
- 1:12:50spirit of the Lord will rest on him, the spirit
- 1:12:53of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel
- 1:12:55and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the
- 1:12:58fear of the Lord, and he will delight in the
- 1:13:01fear of the Lord. I'm going to stop there. Do
- 1:13:03you hear that? Yeah, the delight. And there we
- 1:13:06go. Eden is delight, the garden of delight. So
- 1:13:11let's wrap this up for Jov. you couldn't make
- 1:13:16it up could you yeah i mean you know people say
- 1:13:18oh the bible's a load of rubbish i mean you know
- 1:13:20there there's foolishness standing right in front
- 1:13:22of you then isn't there yeah joe joe it's crazily
- 1:13:27amazing you have to just scratch your head with
- 1:13:30wonder you just i just love the spirit of god
- 1:13:34i love god so much and i know you're doing yeshua
- 1:13:37i mean this man i just look to him as my example
- 1:13:40and i fail miserably like we all do But isn't
- 1:13:44it wonderful that he says wash each other's feet.
- 1:13:47You are already cleansed in your spirit I've
- 1:13:49washed you in your spirit, but you're going to
- 1:13:51tread in places that I don't really like you
- 1:13:53need to wash each other's feet I'll wash yours.
- 1:13:55You'll wash mine and we'll be clean. This is
- 1:13:57forgiveness. Yes I love it. I love it too. And
- 1:14:03that's guys. I hope that this has helped remember
- 1:14:07remember this part Proverbs shows a master builder
- 1:14:12building up to this idea. Ecclesiastes is the
- 1:14:17preacher that tests it all and puts it all together
- 1:14:19and then comes to the conclusion of this is what
- 1:14:22it is. Then you have Job, who was the great one,
- 1:14:27who didn't know it, obviously, then was torn
- 1:14:30all the way down. Well, you think that ties in
- 1:14:33with Christ, doesn't it? He came from above and
- 1:14:36humbled himself, was brought low. And while the
- 1:14:40enemy The enemy of God, the adversary that is
- 1:14:44in the council of God seeks to find those that
- 1:14:48he can devour, but seeks those that will curse
- 1:14:51God. That's what he does. That's his operation.
- 1:14:55That's what he does. And that's what he believes.
- 1:14:57Job got, God says this is job God chose job so
- 1:15:02that he could get to 28. Amen. He used the adversary
- 1:15:06to do it. He did. Just like whenever Jesus goes,
- 1:15:11the spirit of God drove Christ into the wilderness.
- 1:15:15If you pay close attention after his baptism,
- 1:15:17it says in the spirit led him into the wilderness.
- 1:15:20So God chose the sun to come to this earth, chose
- 1:15:25him to go into the wilderness, to be tested by
- 1:15:27that very adversary. It's identical. And you
- 1:15:32know what? it is incredibly identical and again
- 1:15:34you again it's even talking about that scripture
- 1:15:36that we read in exodus you know he got the shadow
- 1:15:39to be the uh the master to be able to put these
- 1:15:41things up and you know that's christ it's just
- 1:15:45it's all there everything's there you know christ
- 1:15:48is stamped all over it you know every page of
- 1:15:49the bible you might go christ turn it over christ
- 1:15:51turn it over christ turn it over christ and that's
- 1:15:54the thing to look into it and see christ that
- 1:15:56is to peer in to the perfect word of god is christ
- 1:15:59all of this is about Christ and when you peer
- 1:16:02into this Christ is everywhere and everything
- 1:16:05and so now I hope you can understand when I say
- 1:16:10it like this I'm thankful that God chose me to
- 1:16:15put me through the suffering that he did because
- 1:16:18in it he found me and I found him he found you
- 1:16:24that's what it's about he found me but I found
- 1:16:26him simultaneously He showed me himself and I
- 1:16:29come to the realization of who he is. That's
- 1:16:32the that's the human experience. So I hope that
- 1:16:35this study has been a good help for you, Elaine,
- 1:16:36as always. Thank you so much for being with me.
- 1:16:38This means the world to me. And I hope it is
- 1:16:41to you guys and to you, Elaine. Just I love you
- 1:16:43guys so much. And come back for twenty nine.
- 1:16:47Read ahead. Read twenty nine, but also read Proverbs
- 1:16:48eight about wisdom. Think about Christ when you
- 1:16:51read it. Yeah. Yeah. Just just may God lead you
- 1:16:55into other things that we've spoken about and
- 1:16:57just just just say what what you're teaching
- 1:16:59me here lord that's what i say to him treat me
- 1:17:02like i'm an idiot treat me like i'm a five -year
- 1:17:04-old treat me like you're just easy little words
- 1:17:06but there's such depth there that's all you need
- 1:17:09to say ask god to lead you like you just said
- 1:17:11there the holy spirit led him you didn't turn
- 1:17:13around a minute don't you know i am you know
- 1:17:16he he went he followed the lead and this is the
- 1:17:19same with us you know we humble ourselves and
- 1:17:21we follow the lead if god says what you've been
- 1:17:23thinking for a long time is wrong then discard
- 1:17:26it That's right. Listen to what the spirit is
- 1:17:29saying. God bless you all. Thank you for listening
- 1:17:32to our study. Yeah, what a great day. I enjoyed
- 1:17:34this study with you, Elaine. Thanks so much.
- 1:17:36Well, exactly. Well, we always have so much fun.
- 1:17:39This is the whole point, you know, it's disturbing
- 1:17:40to the word of God, but, you know, we're learning
- 1:17:42so much and yet we're bonding over just our own
- 1:17:46characters and personalities and experiences,
- 1:17:47but we're all being shaped together. And that's
- 1:17:50the wonderful thing. Our minds are being shaped
- 1:17:51at the same time. Absolutely. And I'm going to
- 1:17:55let me show you. I got a new way of closing and
- 1:17:57away we go. Now, I'll tell you what, brothers
- 1:18:03and sisters, the way it closes, when he stops
- 1:18:05it, he says, you know what, I've got to go for
- 1:18:07a pee. So I sit there for three minutes. Yeah,
- 1:18:09that's what we do at the end. I say, well, got
- 1:18:11to go for a pee because that's look. And I'll
- 1:18:13tell you another secret. He turns around and
- 1:18:15says, I know when the study's got our end because
- 1:18:18I can't hold the bladder anymore. That's how
- 1:18:20you know it's over. Just so we've been at this.
- 1:18:22That's his secret. That's the end of this study
- 1:18:24and I've had enough. I gotta pee. You gotta pee.
- 1:18:28So pee off your pop. Off your pop. I love you
- 1:18:31guys. We'll talk to you next time. Go read 29
- 1:18:33and Proverbs 8. See you next week. Bye, darlings.
- 1:18:37Bye bye.
