June 25, 2025 - LG Running America's First LFP Plant
The day after visiting Ford's still unfinished lithium iron phosphate battery plant in Marshall, MI, we visited the LG Energy Solution plant in Holland, MI that has recently undergone an expansion and is now the first in the US to be producing LFP cells at scale. While Ford is planning to use its cells in new EVs, LGES is targeting the stationary energy storage market
