- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to episode two of Not Another Football Podcast with myself,
- 0:08Speaker 1: Simondley and checking back. And I'm delighted to say was
- 0:13Speaker 1: a debut last week with New Lennen, but it's our
- 0:15Speaker 1: band debut this week and it's none other than Gallas
- 0:19Speaker 1: with John and Barry from the band.
- 0:21Speaker 2: How are you doing guys, how Thank you very much
- 0:23Speaker 2: for has I appreciate that.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Absolute pleasure, Absolute pleasure. We'll touch on maybe last week.
- 0:29Speaker 1: First of all, an eventful Wednesday, eventful Wednesday night the
- 0:33Speaker 1: braisen Head.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Yeah, so I managed the band and we kind of
- 0:38Speaker 3: we had some ideas about doing something unusual a place
- 0:43Speaker 3: with a band that never played within the Glasgow music scene.
- 0:46Speaker 2: We were we were already doing like a show at
- 0:48Speaker 2: the KOLs which is actually tonight, but we thought, like
- 0:51Speaker 2: a funny way, what a fun way to sell out
- 0:53Speaker 2: a gig would be with a digg and a mad Kase?
- 0:56Speaker 2: What is a gig with a gg? Essentially, and just
- 0:58Speaker 2: like we were wrapping our heads of what venues.
- 1:01Speaker 3: By the Brazen Head kind of sprung in mind him
- 1:03Speaker 3: that's it's a bit mental and I've never really leaned
- 1:06Speaker 3: into the kind of I think everybody knows the band
- 1:09Speaker 3: are Celtic fans, but never leaned into that really and
- 1:12Speaker 3: it's a bit dodgy of the Braisen eye. So I
- 1:17Speaker 3: was a bit of a mad idea and was signed
- 1:19Speaker 3: to Marshall Marshall Armpsy've get a record label as well,
- 1:23Speaker 3: so they put our first album and we'll be putting
- 1:25Speaker 3: out our second album.
- 1:27Speaker 4: So they loads of corporate stuff with them.
- 1:30Speaker 3: And we thought like a better way to break up
- 1:33Speaker 3: can of all that stuff in the summer would be
- 1:35Speaker 3: just dad mad things. So that's how the Braishead idea
- 1:38Speaker 3: came about.
- 1:39Speaker 5: Brilliant, none other none mad than asking us to DJ.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I still can't believe that. Honestly, I can't believe it.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I conduce today that still we enjoyed it.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Enjoyed it.
- 1:50Speaker 2: There's a common pattern of Joky like bamanas up and
- 1:53Speaker 2: giving us like fake like the things that there was.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Like when we first started working with Jokey, he seemed
- 1:59Speaker 2: like a fake email to us saying, oh, we're going
- 2:03Speaker 2: to take your song looking at a Mess and get
- 2:05Speaker 2: going to give you fifty grand and we're going to
- 2:07Speaker 2: put it in the New Walkers adverts. And we were
- 2:09Speaker 2: all buzzing and then we read the email and it
- 2:11Speaker 2: said your sincerely Chris Packer, so like breaker, but he
- 2:18Speaker 2: was said in Jackie DJing this and then I was
- 2:20Speaker 2: like Chris Packett all over again.
- 2:23Speaker 4: April Fools Day as well, So I was getting.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Up That's what he said to me. So obviously we
- 2:28Speaker 5: discussed it.
- 2:29Speaker 1: We were at the d M as for you, Ye,
- 2:31Speaker 1: a few guinness and he drops the DJ one on
- 2:34Speaker 1: with us, and then that was when I was saying
- 2:36Speaker 1: you and he was saying, that's April the first.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You were saying. You were getting the same thing, and
- 2:41Speaker 5: you go trying to do it.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Honestly, it took so many messues are trying to convitage
- 2:45Speaker 3: people that this is a real thing, it's actually happening there.
- 2:49Speaker 3: It's just absolutely he hears what he's actually I'm not
- 2:52Speaker 3: going to believe that. So when we announced you people,
- 2:55Speaker 3: he's taking the pass now and no, that's actually happening.
- 2:59Speaker 2: This would be class if I was real.
- 3:02Speaker 4: I'm glad you've enjoyed it, like, oh, there's some laugh.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Usual bu as well. We obviously played at a football tournament, yeah,
- 3:10Speaker 5: in the last summer. Yeah, and I was in your team.
- 3:14Speaker 5: Who else Gallas boys? Who was in it?
- 3:17Speaker 3: Gallous said some of the spiles. Voodoos, who were a
- 3:21Speaker 3: band that wor for Coke Bridges. They don't operate anymore.
- 3:24Speaker 3: But Voodoos were really good. I mean I think ninety
- 3:28Speaker 3: percent of the team. I don't know about you said,
- 3:29Speaker 3: but you had been at the night before.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Yeah, we were using that as an excuse for my perf.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Well, we got to do quarters. But me and me
- 3:39Speaker 2: and Aim and were I can't remember what we were.
- 3:41Speaker 2: We were already out in Marco from Voodoos, who was
- 3:44Speaker 2: taking the pictures are with the braising Net show. We're
- 3:47Speaker 2: letting Kittyhays and we just looked turned on a separate
- 3:50Speaker 2: night it was Marco. Well, this whole team was just
- 3:52Speaker 2: on a night out. This isn't going to go well.
- 3:55Speaker 1: The whole thing I took and I think I said
- 3:57Speaker 1: to you last week, I didn't see your frontman performance.
- 4:01Speaker 5: When we played the football. You were quite mellow, calm, hungover?
- 4:08Speaker 4: Was he like?
- 4:08Speaker 5: Soon he took the stages up last week he turned
- 4:10Speaker 5: into a different person.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Thank you very much. Mate. Do you know what it's
- 4:16Speaker 2: like that gig? Well, I always could like to like
- 4:18Speaker 2: sort of give them all, but that gig in particular,
- 4:20Speaker 2: I have not been more excited for a gig than anytimes.
- 4:23Speaker 2: It was kind of like bringing us back to our
- 4:24Speaker 2: sort of routes of like pubs we used to play
- 4:27Speaker 2: in the public the priday like Cautchief there and almost
- 4:30Speaker 2: felt exactly like that. It was a similar thing, like
- 4:34Speaker 2: not back, just took me back there and the kind
- 4:37Speaker 2: of was like just give this.
- 4:40Speaker 4: The last gig we played was in the Barras, so
- 4:42Speaker 4: I think.
- 4:44Speaker 5: He's not played until Wednesday.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I'm Glasgow. I think it was the last time they played.
- 4:50Speaker 2: They played a charity gig in December at King Tuts.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It was kind of last minute thing and it was
- 4:55Speaker 3: just too It was Cristy Lambs actually had the organized
- 4:58Speaker 3: like car. It was a praising drive for kind cash
- 5:02Speaker 3: for kids or something that. Yeah, and like that we
- 5:05Speaker 3: get ask the death as long as the schedule allows it.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Of course, that first big like that was the last
- 5:11Speaker 2: big preparation for the gig was the bars.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so it was a bit different obviously the praising
- 5:17Speaker 3: the head but kind of all boxes what ty.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I think everybody enjoyed it realized it was just great success.
- 5:24Speaker 6: It was great, just that very entertaining. Just however, they
- 5:28Speaker 6: even just you're the crowd that were in your your fans,
- 5:32Speaker 6: and then suddenly we started speaking to me something like
- 5:36Speaker 6: you've been in my school twenty years ago. I looked
- 5:38Speaker 6: older than me. And then too much later he's on
- 5:42Speaker 6: getting lifted off all the fans.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I mean, the gigs are knot a bit to see.
- 5:47Speaker 2: The usually seriously say it's never a good time, never
- 5:50Speaker 2: a bad time, but it's a fun time with get
- 5:52Speaker 2: out of the gigs.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Did you see the guy that had the steaming caming
- 5:55Speaker 4: off of it?
- 5:55Speaker 5: Yeah, you steam as we went to get out of them.
- 5:59Speaker 4: That's kind of how I rate I was performing race.
- 6:06Speaker 5: It was brilliant.
- 6:07Speaker 6: It was really good.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Just the energy off I was thinking about an analogy
- 6:11Speaker 1: for football is like a two footed tackle to the
- 6:13Speaker 1: as soon as you started to the chest. As soon
- 6:15Speaker 1: as you started.
- 6:16Speaker 3: It was.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And the other boys with the guitar and the shots
- 6:19Speaker 1: and T shirt everything, that baby vim vim Jansen looking.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Like, yeah, we see some comments and pictures and it's
- 6:29Speaker 3: always a Vamians.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Yeah. I was like, Yanson jan Jansen, So what.
- 6:39Speaker 5: He's got next planned?
- 6:40Speaker 2: But well tonight we've got a shot the kills and
- 6:45Speaker 2: sort of show looking up to the brazen that sold
- 6:48Speaker 2: out like Web sold out both those gigs in the
- 6:50Speaker 2: same day. We're just and then we've just announced a
- 6:54Speaker 2: show show the Art School in October the second.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Yeah, so hopefully that would set up pretty quickly. We
- 7:02Speaker 3: expected should and then can I just do and I
- 7:06Speaker 3: will probably tell the UK.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I don't know what we can say.
- 7:10Speaker 3: We're still getting the process etten sorted for that, but
- 7:15Speaker 3: usually a couple of days.
- 7:22Speaker 4: As I carry on.
- 7:24Speaker 3: But in Europe quite a lot Europe's probably were all
- 7:27Speaker 3: the mad stuff happens in it.
- 7:29Speaker 2: We sold it loads of shows in Europe before we
- 7:31Speaker 2: ever sold that a show in England.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Thereabouts. In Europe played them all about.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Belgium, Belgium and Netherlands is where we predominantly like quite
- 7:43Speaker 2: a big crowd, and we've sold it shows in France.
- 7:45Speaker 5: As well, which your favorite.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Oh there was this mad festival and a village but
- 7:52Speaker 2: that ro Coleman I think, so that was one of
- 7:55Speaker 2: the wilder It was like three thousand Belgians like just
- 7:59Speaker 2: sold it rand at this stage and you could tell
- 8:02Speaker 2: none of them knew whoever, but just like you got
- 8:04Speaker 2: the vibe and well perhaps sort of went for it that.
- 8:06Speaker 3: We enjoyed Belgium. We've got a lot of friends in
- 8:08Speaker 3: the Netherlands. Kind of yeah, some of them see you've
- 8:11Speaker 3: seen many of the country with me, and I'm like
- 8:13Speaker 3: fair enough, but we get treated well there.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Try to think what else Hungry was good? Zeke, it
- 8:20Speaker 4: was good? Oh yeah.
- 8:21Speaker 2: We played a festival and the Pest and that was
- 8:23Speaker 2: a wild night because we so we'd played our we
- 8:27Speaker 2: were on at three o'clock like this on the same
- 8:30Speaker 2: data who else was playing that? Sam Smith and Fontain's DC.
- 8:33Speaker 2: We're headlining the day that we were on, and we
- 8:36Speaker 2: were playing with three o'clock and I think we were
- 8:38Speaker 2: just going to like play our set, get mad at
- 8:40Speaker 2: We'll see Fontanes on nine forty five, and then we
- 8:43Speaker 2: play our show. Thankfully, our stages right next to the
- 8:48Speaker 2: it's like the artisticating intent. So we so we were
- 8:53Speaker 2: playing our show and I'm like, well, singing, I'm like
- 8:57Speaker 2: that's no great and chat for thornt Taine's DC, and
- 8:59Speaker 2: I just kind of just keep on looking and it's
- 9:01Speaker 2: still probably ruining the show because like I'm trying to
- 9:03Speaker 2: beat this character, and but I'm also being very very nosy,
- 9:06Speaker 2: like I can't see. So they played and they've so
- 9:11Speaker 2: they've like just like stumbled off some artiskat and then
- 9:14Speaker 2: just walked past and saw us instead for all our
- 9:16Speaker 2: set and then I was amazing. And then we played
- 9:18Speaker 2: and we got an email. We get a message through
- 9:20Speaker 2: from their manager being like just to coming to the
- 9:22Speaker 2: side of stage and partly afterwards and ended up just
- 9:25Speaker 2: getting mapped at the Fontaines.
- 9:27Speaker 4: They cannot had a meteoric grice.
- 9:30Speaker 3: But then because I used to book the mis DJs
- 9:32Speaker 3: before they get big and the Priory some mental nights
- 9:36Speaker 3: back then, like I think they were playing well. I
- 9:41Speaker 3: woke up the next day, I looked at that and
- 9:43Speaker 3: I looked at my phone.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I was like, fucking hap just up to a series.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Carry on? Good police, actually very very good, very.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Kind and obviously they were headlining this festival and did
- 9:57Speaker 2: not need to take the time and effort for us.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I find that all the artists like he's kind of
- 10:01Speaker 1: all obviously doing the same sort of stuff.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Do you find them being genuine decent?
- 10:06Speaker 2: I think the only wadit you can like really succeed
- 10:08Speaker 2: and be in such like a slip in a place
- 10:13Speaker 2: like music. I don't think you can succeed without being kind,
- 10:16Speaker 2: without like having that and you let help people out
- 10:18Speaker 2: because other people have helped you, so you should actually
- 10:20Speaker 2: like take from that and be like if I get
- 10:23Speaker 2: if I get to this place, I'm going to have
- 10:25Speaker 2: to do that. I would like to do that as well,
- 10:28Speaker 2: so you can tell it that's what they've done.
- 10:29Speaker 1: It's even more difficult industry as well, try to be seen,
- 10:33Speaker 1: trying to get platforms.
- 10:34Speaker 2: So just being genuinely kind is the little one of
- 10:37Speaker 2: your biggest strengths rather than being like a good songwriter.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I mean stuff like that even could of makes We'll
- 10:44Speaker 3: tell you, like where did we meet fred dust Eindhoven.
- 10:50Speaker 3: He was like, chick, we'll meet if anybody's going to
- 10:53Speaker 3: meet them over So we been in again the artists
- 10:56Speaker 3: catering and this big.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Tour bus pulled up security everywhere. They just walked back
- 11:00Speaker 4: smot excuse me for men.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Well he didn't like me to start because you freaked
- 11:07Speaker 2: about but up and character w I don't know, man, Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 2: run up. Just after COVID it turned out he had
- 11:19Speaker 2: to let cancel a few dates and he was ill,
- 11:22Speaker 2: so he was like, I don't want your germs men.
- 11:24Speaker 2: And then but then I was like, it's Okay, I'm
- 11:26Speaker 2: from Scotland. He was like Scotland, even though it doesn't make.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Any stand you when people realize, yeah, especially somebody like
- 11:35Speaker 3: I'm probably quite a novel. He look mad Scottish guy
- 11:37Speaker 3: just approaching him.
- 11:38Speaker 4: And the middle of.
- 11:42Speaker 2: That was class. That was a good show.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Where did the where did Gallas comfort?
- 11:46Speaker 4: Then?
- 11:46Speaker 5: Where? And when did you start? How long he's been going?
- 11:49Speaker 2: So Aiming and Paul are like cousins. Aman's a guitarist
- 11:53Speaker 2: and Paul's there there cousins. They've been playing since.
- 11:56Speaker 5: Like were you always the lead man?
- 11:59Speaker 2: So there were they were already writing music and stuff.
- 12:02Speaker 2: And then I went to school with Aymon, but it
- 12:04Speaker 2: wasn't really until we left school until we became with
- 12:07Speaker 2: proper pals and we always drank it bar g Alice
- 12:09Speaker 2: and they were sort of and I was. I was
- 12:11Speaker 2: studying acting at college, so they were sort of like
- 12:17Speaker 2: making about in the studio and they were talking to
- 12:20Speaker 2: me about it and was like, do you try singing
- 12:24Speaker 2: par even with some slit spoken one stuff, And I
- 12:27Speaker 2: was like I and I ended up even even when
- 12:29Speaker 2: we were playing, like six people in broadcast enjoyed it
- 12:32Speaker 2: much more than like I'd expected. Went from doing the
- 12:35Speaker 2: acting and stuff, so decided to push on that it
- 12:38Speaker 2: was performing. Yeah, exactly, there's there's not a lot of
- 12:40Speaker 2: what there was so many similarities and stuff.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Last week.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's took time for Barry learning who
- 12:48Speaker 3: that character was. I guess like we stopped when Al
- 12:51Speaker 3: first started working with you back a few years now,
- 12:54Speaker 3: but eighteen or something that it took, like you know,
- 12:58Speaker 3: we've been different environments like corporate stuff, something like big
- 13:01Speaker 3: festivals and what do you work for me to day?
- 13:04Speaker 3: But now Barry, he's evolved almost in it. But your
- 13:10Speaker 3: level output as huge. Like some sometimes we get promoter's
- 13:14Speaker 3: going to see your right and stuff.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Fine, just leave them, But I did I did think
- 13:18Speaker 1: that last week. So the bit that went stream create
- 13:22Speaker 1: what was the I was at the bar from that
- 13:25Speaker 1: and you appeared on the bar.
- 13:27Speaker 5: You got on the bar.
- 13:28Speaker 2: That video to me is so funny only because like
- 13:32Speaker 2: you get I think you have the hardest position in
- 13:35Speaker 2: that video because I've went up in the bar, down
- 13:38Speaker 2: my head, singing my bills, and you're like faces highting
- 13:41Speaker 2: the camera and you can tell that you need to
- 13:43Speaker 2: try and see what interest in what's going on, But
- 13:45Speaker 2: you definitely still want to Oh man, that's so funny, Man,
- 13:54Speaker 2: so funny.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Performance is outstanding. Getting back to that wee bit because
- 13:59Speaker 1: he wants bring it up.
- 14:00Speaker 5: He wants to slug me. When they got the quarter
- 14:02Speaker 5: finals in that football tournament.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Jackie, I know you're I know you're going to see here, Jackie,
- 14:10Speaker 4: but you won't. The sucking.
- 14:14Speaker 2: The Darkness were really really good.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Honestly, man, he's had enigma, he's a fleet.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Yeah. But the three it was the two brothers of
- 14:26Speaker 2: the band that were in there. But he like, I'm
- 14:28Speaker 2: pretty sure he runs like ultra Manathans and stuff that
- 14:31Speaker 2: he's like.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Something that, like, I mean, could probably good.
- 14:40Speaker 6: He came back, Guy through the Darkness, Guy Justin's a
- 14:43Speaker 6: player night before the band.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I think it looks bad. I know that.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Really they were really doing.
- 14:52Speaker 5: A low points in my career.
- 14:55Speaker 6: That you playing them again, I think it.
- 14:59Speaker 4: May be a Hopefully it happens again, whether.
- 15:03Speaker 6: They play about midfielder up. I'll get myself.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Yeah, sorting them out walk back and if you're watching this,
- 15:13Speaker 2: we met and we met them with a few years
- 15:16Speaker 2: prior because we'd done a we've done a was it
- 15:18Speaker 2: like Marsh Marshall was doing a thing with BMW and
- 15:22Speaker 2: for I don't know why, but there were of speakers
- 15:24Speaker 2: and motorbikes and they were doing this big writing festival
- 15:27Speaker 2: at it.
- 15:28Speaker 4: I'm just thinking about the actual.
- 15:29Speaker 3: So they'll get this motorbike like eighty grands worth a
- 15:32Speaker 3: cat and let's get Marshall speakers and it do you
- 15:35Speaker 3: want to.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Get a picture with me? Or jumped in this thing
- 15:37Speaker 4: and what? Sorry?
- 15:41Speaker 2: Man, be fun but our boss, I said, it was
- 15:44Speaker 2: all right, No they didn't.
- 15:47Speaker 4: It was a bad thing. It was like an arena
- 15:50Speaker 4: and Berlin when it was weird happened to be playing with.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Them a side, so so I went. So we went
- 15:58Speaker 2: and the like that and they were they were very
- 16:01Speaker 2: very nice. It were very nice at the football tournament
- 16:03Speaker 2: as well. But I went up to Justin Hawkins and
- 16:06Speaker 2: The Darkness for my first ever gig. So I went
- 16:08Speaker 2: up and I was like, oh, just like just like
- 16:10Speaker 2: it's no like when I was nine years old I
- 16:12Speaker 2: went and saw you for my first ever concert at
- 16:14Speaker 2: the Carlin Academy and so he's called the time and
- 16:16Speaker 2: he told me to shut the fuck up, but in
- 16:19Speaker 2: a very joke, and me was just like, because you
- 16:21Speaker 2: don't like to hear that. And someone on a late
- 16:23Speaker 2: twenties with ann year old see news shout the fuck up.
- 16:28Speaker 3: My characters telling my characters. He does a YouTube channel
- 16:31Speaker 3: as well, and he kind of it's amazing. He's a
- 16:35Speaker 3: good part of but I got to get them.
- 16:38Speaker 2: This week's I was mine seeing get the copas.
- 16:45Speaker 1: It'll be a bit of training for us everybody.
- 16:48Speaker 2: From what I remember last time, we don't go.
- 16:50Speaker 4: To night Pan as well, but prior to that after, yeah,
- 16:55Speaker 4: makes sense, that was good.
- 16:56Speaker 1: It was good so football then obviously that's well, I'm
- 17:02Speaker 1: assuming that was why I was in your team us
- 17:04Speaker 1: are Celtic men, Yes, game as well.
- 17:09Speaker 3: That was one most specifics when we get asked. They
- 17:11Speaker 3: picked the chess tat that you can get so how you.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Were talking about that, there'll be the braizen head, no
- 17:16Speaker 1: wanting to lean to how do how do you do
- 17:18Speaker 1: that these to try and keep it impartial?
- 17:22Speaker 5: I mean it wasn't in your face.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it just wasn't.
- 17:24Speaker 3: He something that we kind of thought, oh, let's stay
- 17:27Speaker 3: away for that. Just that's how it was, and then
- 17:30Speaker 3: we thought like well why not.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Just yeah, it's like the brazen head was. It was
- 17:37Speaker 2: because of it because of the pub rather than like
- 17:40Speaker 2: what it reapen.
- 17:41Speaker 5: The first time? Have you been in the Braisen once?
- 17:44Speaker 6: It's a long time.
- 17:45Speaker 5: That surprises me, and I don't think I've been in it,
- 17:47Speaker 5: not that I remember once before.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It must have been a hell of a night if
- 17:49Speaker 1: I was on it, but I don't remember being in
- 17:51Speaker 1: it even when we played pub the can you used
- 17:55Speaker 1: to have? They used to the post the canule right
- 17:57Speaker 1: on the frontier. This episode is answered by Rosie mcguires
- 18:01Speaker 1: and Cable Roig. We're going to be there at Celtic
- 18:03Speaker 1: Supporters Festival from June the fourth to the seventh, myself, Jackie,
- 18:08Speaker 1: who else.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Peter Grant, Joe Miller, Alan Thompson and Tommy Johnson. And yeah,
- 18:16Speaker 6: the link is in a description back to the episode
- 18:20Speaker 6: said yeah, well my bastard totally crazy.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a well we're never It's not like a
- 18:31Speaker 2: secret that I have played shows in Europe with a
- 18:33Speaker 2: Celtic top on. I wouldn't do it more in the
- 18:35Speaker 2: UK or anything, I think or.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Have a maybe maybe in England, I think you probably.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I definitely have been.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Somewhere in Europe.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we done in Brighton, so I probably I it's
- 18:50Speaker 2: it was just a thing of like the pub was
- 18:52Speaker 2: more interesting than like going just feeling Celtic. But you
- 18:56Speaker 2: kind of had to do that. If you're going to
- 18:57Speaker 2: do the pub. We're like, well and loads up you
- 19:00Speaker 2: that ore d interest fans went. Now our tech was
- 19:02Speaker 2: as a little blown. I was and was like do
- 19:05Speaker 2: I need to do this?
- 19:06Speaker 3: But every Boddy reacted well and we made that clear
- 19:10Speaker 3: as well. Everybody as well came here. This is just
- 19:12Speaker 3: having a laugh forever.
- 19:13Speaker 2: And next week we're playing aloud and just to keep
- 19:15Speaker 2: it all, I've got Kenny coming.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Whichell, whichell your kin.
- 19:26Speaker 1: My favorite memories of your football then, but it's your
- 19:29Speaker 1: players games.
- 19:31Speaker 4: I mean for me, like growing up, you can I spoiled.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Let's see it players.
- 19:36Speaker 3: And when I was growing up, Paul Lambert I think
- 19:38Speaker 3: was totally world class. I used to just watch him
- 19:44Speaker 3: like I was still playing football then I was playing
- 19:46Speaker 3: Maclyde at the time, just like can I pro you everyone?
- 19:50Speaker 4: We used to just watch Paul Lambert and thought he.
- 19:52Speaker 6: Was even story and starting there I was sitting Mary
- 19:55Speaker 6: and mother well Doc as well, but a good player
- 19:59Speaker 6: Lamble just adjusted his whole game as well.
- 20:03Speaker 4: You know. I mean, I don't think he was highly
- 20:04Speaker 4: rated as well at dot Whan.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I think that big injured they hadn't That's why I
- 20:07Speaker 2: had to do that.
- 20:10Speaker 6: To go to Gyminy.
- 20:12Speaker 4: No.
- 20:12Speaker 6: I think when he came back to Celtic ninety seven
- 20:15Speaker 6: ninety eight, he actually struggled to start with don't when
- 20:18Speaker 6: he came in, he talks about it, you did a
- 20:21Speaker 6: lot of pressure and he.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Said he said to us recently that because he came
- 20:25Speaker 1: in there was no transfer window then, right, So he
- 20:28Speaker 1: came in kind of mid There was a lot of
- 20:31Speaker 1: players came in at the started that season. He's seven
- 20:33Speaker 1: ninety eight and he came in and I think he
- 20:36Speaker 1: more or lested if I'm I'm more ready to get
- 20:38Speaker 1: stay in.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Which.
- 20:41Speaker 5: Yeah, he didn't want to go straight into a team that.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Would maybe hit a we batform. But then he came
- 20:46Speaker 1: in and he hadn't bother my phenomena in the middle
- 20:48Speaker 1: because after the Liverpool games he didn't after that actually, I.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Mean, I think he just won the European Cup, So
- 20:55Speaker 3: I don't know. If Scotland were active then probably needed
- 20:58Speaker 3: arrest as well. Gains select team and your career in it,
- 21:03Speaker 3: you're a team finally, but I thought he was like
- 21:06Speaker 3: a genius actually.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Because that dont team I mean the Champions League, but
- 21:09Speaker 1: there's some special players on that team. To go in
- 21:12Speaker 1: there from mother Wall and hold your own.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It's almost crazy and you're seeing you've seeing that now
- 21:18Speaker 2: won't happen more now than you were like until with like.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Scottish players going abroad.
- 21:24Speaker 2: When even from the teams, like when yeah then it
- 21:28Speaker 2: wasn't really there was shooting from between that it's like
- 21:32Speaker 2: that it was happening then it's always started happening again.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Like I would say that the interesting young Scottish talent.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I mean you'll probably know being anybody chuck you a bit,
- 21:41Speaker 3: the interest from different leagues and why not look at
- 21:45Speaker 3: young Scottich talent.
- 21:46Speaker 6: I mean, I think that the big thing over the
- 21:48Speaker 6: last few years obviously bricks. It's changed it so we
- 21:51Speaker 6: brix it. If you look at the ones like Aaron
- 21:54Speaker 6: Hickey that hearts goes it goes there for one year
- 21:57Speaker 6: and then he gets sold for big money back to Brentford,
- 22:00Speaker 6: so it's you know, to get the work pyramids and
- 22:02Speaker 6: everything else. We brexit it's definitely it's been more appealing
- 22:07Speaker 6: to teams in a way and to come take some
- 22:09Speaker 6: Scottish boys.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Now I mean Brex. It's been a bit of a
- 22:13Speaker 4: nightmare for us.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Like with regard to live touring, it's honestly complicates so
- 22:18Speaker 3: much stuff and I think France and partitle I think
- 22:22Speaker 3: we've been waiting. Yeah, you get get serious lengths of
- 22:25Speaker 3: time before fees are paid and it's just.
- 22:29Speaker 2: More double tax reports and stuff like THEND having shows
- 22:33Speaker 2: get canceled and stuff.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Like sometimes we will get the ferry.
- 22:37Speaker 3: We've getting a big touring kind of van that will
- 22:40Speaker 3: and always they were talking at the customs and looking
- 22:44Speaker 3: a music y and Scottish punk and that always just
- 22:47Speaker 3: seems to work right and you go there is we
- 22:50Speaker 3: say it's a class region.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Punk of Scottish punk.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I love the YouTube.
- 22:58Speaker 3: I mean it's been about your kind of just paper
- 23:02Speaker 3: what we would never obviously voted for it and yeah,
- 23:10Speaker 3: just a major pain that has to be honest with you,
- 23:12Speaker 3: but that's.
- 23:12Speaker 2: What it is.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Would be yourself players made the front man, which.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Whi's the I was like I was brought and the
- 23:23Speaker 2: last in eight days when I was like, I'm pretty
- 23:27Speaker 2: sure my first had a season ticket for ten years
- 23:30Speaker 2: and I think my first season as a season to
- 23:32Speaker 2: Golder was last in last year, so then I remember
- 23:36Speaker 2: I still remember that game when when everyone's getting like that, yeah,
- 23:44Speaker 2: so I have had that. I didn't have a playing
- 23:46Speaker 2: career myself apart from broom Hill when I was like
- 23:48Speaker 2: twelve year old. But that team and even like so
- 23:54Speaker 2: big ange having like that just I felt I fell
- 23:58Speaker 2: back in love, like like back when Lars and stuff
- 24:02Speaker 2: that was playing. When yeah, like that gave me another fire.
- 24:09Speaker 4: You're saying you didn't ever play, was it? No?
- 24:11Speaker 3: Something johnet Andy Robertson used to play fives. We give
- 24:14Speaker 3: you any trouble for smoke the fact.
- 24:17Speaker 2: It is John again, I told you for having during
- 24:23Speaker 2: the game that five game I went on high school.
- 24:28Speaker 2: It was just like so I saw my pals went
- 24:31Speaker 2: to high school and cly Bank, but I went. I
- 24:34Speaker 2: wasn't Glasgow at the time, but I was just off
- 24:36Speaker 2: their pals and they were like playing a game of
- 24:39Speaker 2: five and then playing another one. It was just like, well,
- 24:41Speaker 2: we'll go have a cigarette and a half. I just here,
- 24:44Speaker 2: Well you fucking I did run back and man, no,
- 24:49Speaker 2: I wasn't happy at all.
- 24:54Speaker 5: Career.
- 24:54Speaker 2: He still alright in his career and I'm waiting. I
- 24:57Speaker 2: remember thinking, like, what are you taking this serious? Man?
- 25:00Speaker 2: And now like him being the player that he is
- 25:02Speaker 2: and me being like and music kind of it's kind
- 25:05Speaker 2: of always going to happen from that.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Then it'll be a top I think it'll be when
- 25:08Speaker 1: I told men that the World Cup, that he's thinking
- 25:10Speaker 1: about the World Cup in the States.
- 25:12Speaker 5: He's up for it. Obviously we've qualified after all these years.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Obviously that's a big thing.
- 25:18Speaker 3: And like I've got a five year old son as
- 25:21Speaker 3: well've been nice to watch a World Cup. He's he's
- 25:24Speaker 3: now getting right into the football and he's who's that player?
- 25:26Speaker 2: Who's that Tamans are so annoying that.
- 25:30Speaker 5: Idea.
- 25:31Speaker 3: But I think obviously there's a lot going on in America.
- 25:34Speaker 3: As long as like they told everybody's safe and all that,
- 25:36Speaker 3: I think that would be good. But I think we've
- 25:39Speaker 3: not really get any expectations get in and I think
- 25:42Speaker 3: that's probably a good thing. Often aim too high and
- 25:47Speaker 3: just disappointed, but we'll probably get absolutely hammeled in the
- 25:50Speaker 3: first game and then they all right, that's oh yeah.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I think I think I think all you just want
- 25:57Speaker 2: is that pipe throwing moment. I think that's all you
- 26:00Speaker 2: need a lot all you like a bubbs and like
- 26:02Speaker 2: if even if you just get that, I'm happy, like
- 26:04Speaker 2: just did the fact that it. I'd love for us
- 26:06Speaker 2: to push on and I think we have the team
- 26:08Speaker 2: to do it. But just like just having that, because
- 26:11Speaker 2: I've not had had that as a Cortland fire. You
- 26:14Speaker 2: just want that.
- 26:16Speaker 3: So but even even Marshall, who we are signed to it,
- 26:19Speaker 3: they're now based in Stockholm. So one of the product
- 26:22Speaker 3: designers a Scottish boy, Garry, and he had asked for
- 26:27Speaker 3: a meeting with was so I've got like twenty pairs
- 26:30Speaker 3: of headphones and speakers, Jackie, I need you to help
- 26:33Speaker 3: me risk because I'll just bought my masters at the minute.
- 26:36Speaker 3: And they come up with the idea of making bespoke
- 26:39Speaker 3: stuff for the squad to get away. So I think
- 26:42Speaker 3: because we're the Scottish band on the label, they're like
- 26:44Speaker 3: everybody's got Ben wants.
- 26:47Speaker 6: So I definitely I.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Go down to the marketing team.
- 26:52Speaker 4: Really that's it.
- 26:54Speaker 3: But of everybody's kind of looking at it positively, that
- 26:58Speaker 3: isn't he Scott is like everybody behind his going to.
- 27:02Speaker 1: We're doing a couple of gigs that looks funny enough,
- 27:05Speaker 1: but I heard it bad. They're doing stuff the hydro.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Everybody's going up for us. So the three games, even
- 27:12Speaker 1: though the times on the ideal people are to get
- 27:17Speaker 1: everybody's I think it's just good to be back there again.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I think as well, it's the night that you're doing that.
- 27:25Speaker 3: It is transmit no on or something like that, and
- 27:27Speaker 3: they're showing one of the games.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Let's get cutting the air, so it's going to especially
- 27:34Speaker 1: that side of the town, it's going to be bouncing.
- 27:37Speaker 4: I think again.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Asking we're up for, We're up for it. Really enjoyed it.
- 27:46Speaker 5: It was it was good something new for us as well.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Bobo is a guest.
- 27:53Speaker 6: Play.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Yeah, it's his teammate. When he asked him, I.
- 27:57Speaker 6: Don't know what he's doing.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Areas how how did you rate him as like an
- 28:02Speaker 4: actual defense?
- 28:05Speaker 5: I played against him. I didn't like playing against him.
- 28:08Speaker 6: He was but again he was the same in training
- 28:12Speaker 6: as he was in on the game. He's just seen
- 28:16Speaker 6: a ball, a few in front of that ball. If
- 28:20Speaker 6: you're in front of that ball, you're getting smashed, you know,
- 28:24Speaker 6: just like chasing it there come up there and attacked effything,
- 28:28Speaker 6: and then certain strikers would beat him in the air.
- 28:31Speaker 6: You knew the next one they were going to get wallopped.
- 28:34Speaker 3: You know, se like having him in the team, did
- 28:37Speaker 3: you think psychologically intimidated people in the tunnel.
- 28:40Speaker 6: And a few in the tunnel, you know that was
- 28:45Speaker 6: even years ago that obviously the famous one was a
- 28:49Speaker 6: Barcelona game where he skelped water and I grab dougas
- 28:56Speaker 6: gets some of But then he'd done it with Craig
- 28:58Speaker 6: Moore the Rangers game. He's he's smart, Craigmil and the
- 29:02Speaker 6: tunnel going in and there was a charity game he
- 29:05Speaker 6: was playing.
- 29:06Speaker 5: Yeah, there was a lot of charity games.
- 29:07Speaker 6: S William's charity game and if someone like caught him,
- 29:12Speaker 6: you know, his blood and he had it was it
- 29:14Speaker 6: was with Garreth Barry come up for a corner and
- 29:18Speaker 6: he's caught Bobo and he's he dust his lips and
- 29:22Speaker 6: he showed my my top and I was and he
- 29:27Speaker 6: could see Bobo was just before halftime, Bobo charity game.
- 29:32Speaker 6: I don't care. I killed him. He's first my lip
- 29:35Speaker 6: was like trying to get him away because he would
- 29:38Speaker 6: have he would have led on them.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I used to like see him, but he'd been night
- 29:42Speaker 3: certain I was, I must have been nineteen at a time.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Used to just slap them get by.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Bob slap that brick water was a big drink.
- 29:52Speaker 6: No, no, I never drank.
- 29:53Speaker 4: No, I mean dead Man's like quite scary.
- 29:57Speaker 6: You think where with a drink? What would be like?
- 30:01Speaker 2: The party?
- 30:02Speaker 1: He turned up at the the complex, the management party
- 30:08Speaker 1: and he turned up at the whole complex. Must have
- 30:11Speaker 1: get wind. They were done there. He was trying to
- 30:13Speaker 1: sign them. Get finished by then, come on out of retirement.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Play for us at the back?
- 30:19Speaker 2: What do you think of party?
- 30:20Speaker 5: Can I don't help? Yeah, I've done well.
- 30:24Speaker 1: The results on the weekend of kind of made it
- 30:26Speaker 1: a wee bit more difficult. I think they drew and
- 30:29Speaker 1: Saint Johnson one again.
- 30:31Speaker 5: Yeah, but they were sitting.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Really hopefully at one point.
- 30:33Speaker 5: It's still still here.
- 30:35Speaker 1: But I think that's what Saint Johnson's fore points ahead
- 30:38Speaker 1: now five points ahead, so they've opened up a wee
- 30:41Speaker 1: gap again. Listen, I think it's got this chance. Our
- 30:45Speaker 1: last guest Lenny last week from filming the get results.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So they're sitting there as well for grabs for the.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Definitely going to the playoffs. And I remember we were
- 30:56Speaker 2: doing a festival and slight I have a bit of
- 30:59Speaker 2: a soft spot from this working like social cares and
- 31:03Speaker 2: a person that I've supported for years of a season
- 31:06Speaker 2: ticket older thisso there's been something. There's been some seasons
- 31:09Speaker 2: where I've been the more Thistle games and Celtic and
- 31:12Speaker 2: we were doing a festival in Sligo and it was
- 31:13Speaker 2: a Ross County played playoff game and where they like
- 31:17Speaker 2: it looked like they were going through it. We started
- 31:18Speaker 2: the giga waing for Arthur. That's it went right through
- 31:23Speaker 2: it on the playoffs.
- 31:24Speaker 6: At the end of the game the second.
- 31:26Speaker 3: My mate was up with these kids Gane McKinnon. The
- 31:30Speaker 3: boy was actually d m as he's a big official man.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I think like I think he's getting music coming out
- 31:38Speaker 3: in some Thistle documentary as well.
- 31:40Speaker 4: But I thought was for yeah, we.
- 31:44Speaker 2: A likable team.
- 31:45Speaker 6: In last year Ben Stanamy, it was a brilliant season.
- 31:50Speaker 6: The young lady's twenty one, but he's he's been unbelievable
- 31:54Speaker 6: for him. This year he will be I think he'll
- 31:55Speaker 6: be up there for a chance of being in the
- 31:58Speaker 6: Player of the Year.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Mark Wilson getting down the job that he's doing is
- 32:05Speaker 2: very unexpected to me as well.
- 32:06Speaker 5: You love to see it well because he's had a
- 32:08Speaker 5: color jobs before.
- 32:11Speaker 1: I was actually breaking with him and it never finished
- 32:14Speaker 1: particularly well for him, So it's it's great to see
- 32:16Speaker 1: Mark doing well.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Was that his only coaching job before it was.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Weaking, breaking and then went back to party with the
- 32:27Speaker 1: youths was one of the eatings went and then he's
- 32:29Speaker 1: got the opportunity.
- 32:30Speaker 5: But I didn't.
- 32:31Speaker 1: I didn't well, I think the playoffs will be difficult
- 32:33Speaker 1: for whoever comes down. Aberdeen look as if they're struggling,
- 32:39Speaker 1: which is unthinkable really Aberdeen. But it looks like what
- 32:43Speaker 1: about the top end of just the split has just
- 32:46Speaker 1: been made, which her thoughts, Where's where's it? Where's the
- 32:50Speaker 1: league going?
- 32:52Speaker 2: I still think they can do it. Man, I really
- 32:53Speaker 2: really did show the art. But I mean I was
- 32:57Speaker 2: having as I was having more home games and then
- 33:02Speaker 2: then the hearts and renders is going to help us
- 33:03Speaker 2: a lot.
- 33:05Speaker 3: I need to turn up their games and then obviously
- 33:07Speaker 3: you're on my shout, but who knows the current state.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Of see that. Obviously obviously it's a bit like shaky
- 33:13Speaker 2: for being a Celtic fan, but it's been an amazing season.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Is just entertainment value. The fact that Celtic Hearts the last.
- 33:19Speaker 4: Game that is.
- 33:21Speaker 3: I don't think like barks is a race in Europe.
- 33:23Speaker 3: It's kind of as open as a three team. I
- 33:27Speaker 3: don't think I think of what he's in Scottish football.
- 33:31Speaker 3: I guess like hearing any of the leader as well.
- 33:34Speaker 3: But I think the neutral probably once Hearts they one,
- 33:36Speaker 3: didn't they just.
- 33:38Speaker 5: Something something different, something adding a little bit of spice
- 33:41Speaker 5: to things.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but I mean when was the last time somebody
- 33:45Speaker 3: out a field form Wasn't it.
- 33:48Speaker 5: Been the Nati?
- 33:51Speaker 6: I mean Hearts were actually all right that season in
- 33:53Speaker 6: ninety seventy and we one we stopped a three a
- 33:58Speaker 6: February March and they kind of tailed.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I can hand last season by I know, maybe they
- 34:02Speaker 2: were flying from it.
- 34:04Speaker 6: They would side. Then it's a lot of stuff with Celtic.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Obviously Martin coming back and then go and then go
- 34:13Speaker 6: back again. He's actually done really well to getting back
- 34:17Speaker 6: in there.
- 34:19Speaker 4: It's feel a bit like self damaging. Then the season, Okay,
- 34:23Speaker 4: that's a crazy season.
- 34:25Speaker 5: Crazy season.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Still, if anybody can do it, Martin surely can do it.
- 34:31Speaker 3: So I need to get the statue, the.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Ones that.
- 34:36Speaker 5: The double was on.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Even have one already.
- 34:42Speaker 4: What what do you think Martin like as a human being.
- 34:46Speaker 5: I've only came across Martin recent times.
- 34:48Speaker 1: I was lucky enough to be in his company. We
- 34:50Speaker 1: had had a few events with Martin. Everything he would expect, charismatic, good.
- 34:56Speaker 5: Company, Yeah, funny.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:00Speaker 5: I came away from thinking, you know what, I'd liked
- 35:02Speaker 5: to play for him.
- 35:03Speaker 6: But I think I had five years the whole time
- 35:08Speaker 6: with him when he first came in, and I left
- 35:10Speaker 6: the same time as Martin. And it's weird because you
- 35:14Speaker 6: were scared them, like he was going to batter you.
- 35:18Speaker 6: But he and I remember watching a thing in Cloff
- 35:22Speaker 6: and Brian Cloff and there was a lot of similar stuff.
- 35:25Speaker 6: They were the players about how he was. Martin's very
- 35:28Speaker 6: very clever.
- 35:29Speaker 4: You know. I watched that movie actually a bit clok recently,
- 35:31Speaker 4: but I hadn't.
- 35:34Speaker 2: What documentary I Believe in Miracles.
- 35:37Speaker 4: No, it was actually the movie that somebody plays them.
- 35:42Speaker 6: Yeah, because actually there's there's another one.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he smashes it.
- 35:47Speaker 6: There's another one. It's called I Believe in Miracles, and
- 35:52Speaker 6: it's as to be fair, it would never happen again,
- 35:55Speaker 6: you know, I know the sixty seven we aready in
- 35:58Speaker 6: the around the stadium, and everything, but for them to
- 36:02Speaker 6: win it back to back. They came up for League
- 36:04Speaker 6: Below won the League Below won the Premier League Europe
- 36:09Speaker 6: and John Robertson away, the guy that produced the film,
- 36:15Speaker 6: he got done the eulogy. It was that the film
- 36:19Speaker 6: is brilliant.
- 36:19Speaker 3: You could see the do you know what Johnny Owens
- 36:22Speaker 3: like so click. I didn't know he'd done that because
- 36:26Speaker 3: he done the one the Three Kinds as well. Yeah, Metro, Yeah,
- 36:32Speaker 3: they went for dim some months.
- 36:34Speaker 4: He's a nice guy.
- 36:35Speaker 3: He's daughter and I does a lot of stuff with
- 36:37Speaker 3: music as well. I k DJs and like does stuff
- 36:41Speaker 3: with the Welsh national team.
- 36:42Speaker 6: But he's a nice spoke at John's John spoke at
- 36:47Speaker 6: was I think is he not?
- 36:49Speaker 4: I think he's no forest. I think he might be
- 36:51Speaker 4: a director of forest something forrest.
- 36:55Speaker 2: A nice guy has a forest business cardiate he gave me.
- 37:00Speaker 5: Is that.
- 37:00Speaker 6: Martin has said you can see the bits that he's
- 37:03Speaker 6: the cluff there. But yeah, if any of the players
- 37:06Speaker 6: were speaking to Martin, you're like the teacher's pet because
- 37:09Speaker 6: he was so he kept his distance for you and
- 37:12Speaker 6: when he said something, you're like you felt, you know,
- 37:15Speaker 6: you want to go and play for him. Me, you
- 37:16Speaker 6: want to do well for him, and and I could.
- 37:18Speaker 6: I can actually, you know, see how the game's changed,
- 37:22Speaker 6: you know where his tactics and stuff now like players
- 37:26Speaker 6: will hang on every word, right I want you're going
- 37:29Speaker 6: to hear and they'll just stay there like you told
- 37:31Speaker 6: me to come here, but not actually not to use
- 37:33Speaker 6: your brain where he I can imagine now with certain
- 37:38Speaker 6: especially with the wingers.
- 37:40Speaker 3: You know, it's just something I thought about, like how
- 37:43Speaker 3: he's been a bit at the game and stuff like
- 37:45Speaker 3: how does that translate into the model and game.
- 37:47Speaker 1: But I don't like folks disagree, but I don't think
- 37:51Speaker 1: the games essentially change. The fundamentals are still the same things.
- 37:56Speaker 6: The terminology is different. Low blocks that.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Sticks and they act of the three kick dying it
- 38:02Speaker 3: and like diving headers and stuff.
- 38:04Speaker 4: People are to just keep possessing.
- 38:06Speaker 6: You see now that the Bride's going back to like
- 38:08Speaker 6: four four two two strikers, long throwings and like Man City.
- 38:13Speaker 6: Obviously everybody wanted to be like Pet over the last
- 38:15Speaker 6: a decade a halfs in the bond the goalies and
- 38:18Speaker 6: the ball, and you're like, it's the last person you
- 38:21Speaker 6: want to see on the ball. Yes, but now you're
- 38:23Speaker 6: actual might see you've seen crosses going and you're seeing
- 38:26Speaker 6: two strikers going to attacking it. And most of the
- 38:30Speaker 6: kids now are coming through haven't been taught that they've
- 38:34Speaker 6: been taught. How you just half think she's a ballplayer.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Most of the time you would have up against two strikers,
- 38:40Speaker 3: surely like back and so I mean I like the
- 38:43Speaker 3: two strikers.
- 38:44Speaker 4: I think if you've got the players.
- 38:45Speaker 5: You look back to all the combinations over the years.
- 38:48Speaker 3: At one point with the argument to play three strikers,
- 38:51Speaker 3: we Celledic the halts and then something and.
- 38:52Speaker 6: Yeah, even my second season we had with a hoy Dunk,
- 38:57Speaker 6: Andy Tom and Cadetti and the Canyon and the Yeah.
- 39:01Speaker 6: So he had four accommodation four like top top forwards,
- 39:06Speaker 6: you know, and put them into their into a team.
- 39:09Speaker 4: Well, it was big prl like class Pierre for.
- 39:13Speaker 5: Me, I've said at times, and Cone is of the.
- 39:17Speaker 1: His intelligence is very summar to the Henrick and you
- 39:20Speaker 1: look at him whenever he went goal to game ratio,
- 39:24Speaker 1: it turns up his goals return is incredible. He obviously
- 39:29Speaker 1: left Celtic and a b a bit of a clouded. Obviously,
- 39:31Speaker 1: the contracts and different things there's no arguing his ability.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Clever played in the World Cups. Anything with Holland top player, I.
- 39:40Speaker 4: Think they don't get a double.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Insbu scored the great goal against Harts at Hamden. I
- 39:46Speaker 1: don't know if you got two, but remember the finish.
- 39:49Speaker 1: But for me, football intelligence, really really good, really good player.
- 39:54Speaker 1: He was the first of that era where you know,
- 39:58Speaker 1: Tommy Buns brought him in, first kind of foreigner.
- 40:02Speaker 5: And it just lifted everything because the players there they
- 40:05Speaker 5: needed a lift.
- 40:05Speaker 1: And then obviously and the tom came after that, he
- 40:08Speaker 1: came and you feel as if that team were getting closer.
- 40:12Speaker 2: As much.
- 40:13Speaker 6: And that is mental one of the best train, one
- 40:17Speaker 6: of the best train.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's always quite good physical shape.
- 40:21Speaker 6: Yeah. He was never never left anything out there. You know,
- 40:26Speaker 6: the same in the park. You see they are the
- 40:28Speaker 6: passion to win and.
- 40:29Speaker 4: All happened.
- 40:31Speaker 3: He was he was crazy, but I guess that's match
- 40:36Speaker 3: winning stuff. But unpredictability of the whole characterium and just
- 40:40Speaker 3: how much he actually was.
- 40:41Speaker 1: But they four with a talent that that team for
- 40:44Speaker 1: us to play and was I haven't on to win
- 40:47Speaker 1: one title one ninety eight, but that team ninety five
- 40:49Speaker 1: and eighty six was there was some special performances in
- 40:53Speaker 1: that season.
- 40:54Speaker 5: Enjoyable were playing that team, right, guys were almost at
- 40:59Speaker 5: the end. Are we doing the recommendation thing? Then?
- 41:02Speaker 1: So last week's won last week when recommended. So it's
- 41:06Speaker 1: a film, a song, a band on an album, so
- 41:09Speaker 1: three things right, So he's recommended for you guys, these
- 41:13Speaker 1: will all be I'll be surprised if you don't won
- 41:15Speaker 1: by YouTube. It was a song was his favorite. He
- 41:19Speaker 1: went for definitely Maybe, which is a favorite of mine.
- 41:22Speaker 1: The debut album of Oasis, Incent of.
- 41:24Speaker 5: A woman he's from, so that was some choice.
- 41:30Speaker 4: But Field.
- 41:31Speaker 5: So that's his recommendation.
- 41:33Speaker 1: So we want the same from you guys for the
- 41:35Speaker 1: next guest, which will leave as a mystery at the moment.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Well see albums and I was listening to go back
- 41:44Speaker 2: in and out this band album when I was growing up.
- 41:47Speaker 2: I love the Ftellies, the were mafit and what I
- 41:50Speaker 2: went saw him eight times and see their first album
- 41:53Speaker 2: Castelle Music. It's aged like a fine wine. It's amazing.
- 41:57Speaker 2: But that's get Chelsea Dargon, which is obvious. It still
- 42:00Speaker 2: gets played at Parkhead. It sounds still put money from yeah,
- 42:05Speaker 2: so that's but that full album is like tenstend. I
- 42:09Speaker 2: like it and I get made like there's loads of
- 42:11Speaker 2: songs and that they just got an advert as well,
- 42:13Speaker 2: So that would be the album that I put forward.
- 42:15Speaker 2: I'd say that's a good choice.
- 42:18Speaker 5: You want to go for the album as well. And
- 42:20Speaker 5: he's what splat, I'm.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Trying to think, I'll go maybe a film, So I
- 42:25Speaker 3: think what I've seen recently's been your films.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Oh occasionally, No, I'm going to pass actually a total mind.
- 42:32Speaker 2: What my favorite film of all time is Walk Stock
- 42:36Speaker 2: and Two Smoking Barrels. I actually I loved that from
- 42:39Speaker 2: just men watching like older and fat people in.
- 42:43Speaker 6: My family and just actually there was a wee guy
- 42:45Speaker 6: last week last week at your get. It looked like
- 42:47Speaker 6: one of the characters on it.
- 42:50Speaker 4: I think that is it?
- 42:52Speaker 2: A guy with his steam coming off from so yeah,
- 42:55Speaker 2: can we get back in the car? And I made
- 42:57Speaker 2: that that guy and.
- 42:58Speaker 6: I was I was trying to the guy's name. He's Barnet.
- 43:02Speaker 6: He was getting carried with the crowd.
- 43:04Speaker 2: I know exactly what you're talking.
- 43:06Speaker 6: He's name and the film was Plank, Yeah Baddy, And.
- 43:10Speaker 2: It's one of one of the thieves that are going
- 43:12Speaker 2: through this.
- 43:13Speaker 6: There's a big guy that spoke to me and said
- 43:15Speaker 6: I was at his school twitter year ago.
- 43:18Speaker 4: And then the.
- 43:21Speaker 2: That is is the guy with the team coming half yeah, Yeah,
- 43:24Speaker 2: get his barnet. It was we guy, so it's to
- 43:27Speaker 2: get shot in half. The guy who just stay in there.
- 43:31Speaker 2: You see him seeing your wee clip that you put on.
- 43:35Speaker 2: He's getting carried with the yeah and he's barnet only.
- 43:44Speaker 6: His nickname is going to yeah.
- 43:49Speaker 2: The film and song okay, so that's some working.
- 43:54Speaker 4: I'm going to go a wee bit controversial here.
- 43:56Speaker 3: So that there was a band that I'm now based
- 43:58Speaker 3: in Glasgow the Fair Dairy called Dirty Face, Good Shot
- 44:02Speaker 3: the Day a song called eighty percent and those two
- 44:05Speaker 3: of them they're kind of like Kneecap but punk. Yeah,
- 44:09Speaker 3: it's all guitar driven and it's one of the boys
- 44:12Speaker 3: is called Lorking and it's working any beer, no.
- 44:14Speaker 4: Folks sake class song.
- 44:19Speaker 2: In the Cat movie as well.
- 44:21Speaker 3: It's a good tune okay, now operating out of Glasgow,
- 44:26Speaker 3: so keep your eyes with for them cool.
- 44:29Speaker 1: It's been an absolute pleasure board She's live again at
- 44:33Speaker 1: some point and if you look for two DJs, we and.
- 44:36Speaker 2: I really appreciate your support for the brazen headstar.
- 44:40Speaker 6: Remember keep being in mind to sort the darkness?
- 44:43Speaker 5: Yeah, sign.
- 44:48Speaker 6: Captain.
- 44:48Speaker 5: Who's who we give him?
- 44:51Speaker 2: We give him for this day.
- 44:55Speaker 5: I don't need to be I just executed that.
- 44:58Speaker 2: You know what. I'm going to be a bigger and
- 45:00Speaker 2: he this man went to the world taking the captains.
- 45:03Speaker 4: N it's my team. But no, give the but arm
- 45:07Speaker 4: band away.
- 45:08Speaker 2: If that keeps.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Happy, it's always.
- 45:12Speaker 6: He kept him band.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Let's start the psychological warfare for the darkness. Let's get
- 45:17Speaker 4: in his mind before darkness.
- 45:18Speaker 6: We're coming from you being he's not the crab.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Well there, I'll help you back up.
