For those of us who were not able to make

quick recap. It was I'm of sober reflection, reflecting on

our lives and we discuss the vital signs of spiritual retrogression.

It was an attempt to help us understand. It was

a diagnosis, to help us know if our spiritual states

and our spiritual health is intact. And we considered a

few signs the same way the doctor would come and

take the vital signs of a patient to be able

to ascertain the level of health and vitality of such

a patient. We discussed about five of them. Let me

just run through it just for a recap before we

begin tonight's teaching. Number one that the first vital sign

that shows spiritual retrogression. That means if and when you

see these signs in your life, they are a cause

for concern. They call for an immediate spiritual response. Number

one is when there is a significant deviation from your

love for God and the things of God. The moment

there is a significant deviation from your love for God

and the things of God. That is a vital sign

Number one that something is wrong. Number two, self centered

living as against Christ centered living. That means when your

life becomes all about you, the desire for self glorification,

not just to see Jesus exalted in and through your life.

That is a sign. Number two that your life might

be suffering spiritual retrogression. Number three consistent ever increasing compromise

of your values and godly standards. The moment you find

out that there is a consistent, ever increasing compromise of

your values and your godly standards it is It is

one of the most classic signs that something is wrong

with your spiritual life. Number four a decline in your

spiritual convictions. The moment you find out that the things

that gave you boldness and confidence about God and the
5:26
things of God now become a thing of shame and embarrassment.

Fasting prayer, your time with God, your passion for the

things of God, evangelism. You find out that you now
5:39
join people to even mock these spiritual experiences as though
5:43
they were powerless. That is a sign of spiritual dicadence.

The fifth and the last sign we considered in the
5:50
morning is decline in passion for the House of God.

There is a relationship between your passion and your love

for the House of God and your spiritual health. It's

a fact that if something is wrong with your spiritual life,

it will affect your passion for the House of God.

I did observe in the morning that many are times

you find out that there are believers whill come to

church and after ten minutes, fifteen minutes, thirteen minutes, they

are already exhausted. They are tired, sleepy, and do not
6:26
even want to pay attention, as though the service were

a stretch that were inconvenience in them. And after service
6:33
they will stand behind the vehicle and talk for two
6:37
hours standing and yet not be tired. So you see
6:41
that it was an attack to stop you from receiving
6:45
the world and to stop your growth. These five signs
6:49
were examined in the morning are classic signs that that
6:53
ever becomes a victim of some or more of these signs.

And if we're to be honest with ourself, at one

point or the other, every body will face the challenge

of one or more of designs. So the meeting in

the morning was not just a meeting for a few

group of people. It was a challenge to everyone who

is serious about God and intends to be serious or

remain serious, to cry before the Lord and ask for help.

Some of us from the discussion in the morning, we

found out that based on the rating it was five

over five. Everything was wrong with our spiritual lives, and

it was a call for prayer, for repentance, for brokenness.

A few of us saw one or more areas that

would need to look at. And for those of us

who could not make it, I'm sure that you will

do well to get access to the teachings and listen. Again,

conferences like this are not just designed to be a
7:54
religious program honoring a calendar program. It's supposed to be

a meeting that impacts our spiritual lives MAXIMII away together

praise the name of the Lord. So, continuing from our

discussion in the morning, I want to teach and I'm trusting,

like I promise in the morning, that would spare a

few minutes to be able to pray, and we trust

that God would grant us the privilege to experience His

power and his grace in our midst that those who

have come with burdens and yokes of all sorts, that

God will give us a visitation tonight in Jesus name.

I am a believer and a man of God that

is convinced that every time people show up before the
8:40
God of Heaven, if it is before the God of

the Bible, we must be able to receive the full

package of everything in store for us. That means we

must have an encounter with Jesus, the Son of the

Living God. We must be transformed by the power of
8:55
the world that comes to us. We must also be
8:58
able to enjoy the power of God in and through

our lives, to heal, to deliver, to set free. There's

no point coming to talk about the great and powerful

Jesus and then living back with sicknesses, living back with burdens,

living back with yolks. If it is the God of

the Bible, he would not just leave you transformed. He

will also insist that everything that does not represent Him
9:24
in your life, that there must be a separation of it.

And I'm praying for somebody already this night that in

the name of Jesus, everything that is Antichrist walking in

your life, working in your body at the instance of

the world of God. It must give way once and

for all tonight in the name of Jesus Christ. Second Peter.

So he's forewarning the people, and he said, be careful.

There are a principled men who will come and toward doctrine,

and by giving them a listening air, they will corrupt

your own spiritual health. He's warning them, and he's the

rather contend for spiritual growth. He says, to grow and

become spiritually mature in the grace and the knowledge of

our Lord Jesus Christ. So I want to teach very

briefly on spiritual maturity. Spiritual maturity haven't examined the vital

signs that make for spiritual retrogression. We must then be

able to examine the ways of the Kingdom that makes

for maturity and stature in the Kingdom. Allelujah. The Bible

clearly lets us know that believers can and should grow.

That means when a believer now the foundation. Please lend

me your attention. The foundation of the believer's journey doctrinally

speaking based on the truth revealed in scripture, the foundation

of a believer's journey is his encounter with Jesus Christ. Agree,

you would think these things are very simple. Remember this

is a Kingdom life conference, so it is supposed to

mature the understanding of believers. You will be amazed to

know how many believers cannot give you the sequence and

the protocol of the growth of the believer. They do

not know from what step to what step. The foundation,

doctrinally speaking of the believer's experience begins with his or

her encounter with Jesus Christ. That means it does not

matter how many years you are around church. It does

not even matter what role and what function you play.

According to the authority of scripture, if you have not

encountered Jesus, the Son of the Living God, then you

have not begun your spiritual experience. You can be existing,

but not alive. You are only alive if and when

the life of Christ is manifest within you agree on

that we know as a popular scripture it says, for

That means you cannot assume you have the life of

God without an encounter with the Son of God. Are

we together? Say? For instance, I have a hundred dollar

bill in my pocket, and I am telling you the

only way to access this hundred dollar bill is to

meet me. Is that true? You cannot claim to be

in possession of that hundred dollar bill if you have

not met me. There are many people who have not
14:34
met Jesus, and yet they claim to have the life

of God. The Bible says the administration of eternal life

was so structured that until you encounter the Son before

you have that life. No assumptions. The reason why we

have to examine this is because the more you have
14:53
people in church who have not met Jesus, the more
14:56
will not be free from trouble. Are we together now? So,

in as much as everybody is welcome, you come as

you are, but you don't stay as you are. You

come as you are, with an intention to meet Jesus,

the son of the Living God, so that your salvation

experience would begin. Many times you have, respectfully speaking, churches

and houses of worship full of people who are fat.

I'm not just talking of people who are backsliding, people
15:25
who have never even met Jesus. Sadly, some of them
15:30
are in committees. Sadly, some of them are in very,
15:35
very sensitive positions within the House of God. And so

you find out that the only spirit cannot move through

these people to bring policies and things that bring or
15:45
to the name of the Lord. This is not an
15:47
issue of backsliding. This is not even an issue of
15:49
lack of renewal. It is that you have not encountered
15:52
the Son of God. A man and a woman who
15:55
has not encountered the Son of God, every negative thing
15:59
is possible because you are helplessly under the influence of demons.

So even if by your personality you are a good person,

you are still at risk because demons can have access

to you and cause mayhem that you yourself will later regret.

It matters that people are saved. It is not just

adding to the salvation figures of the church. It is

the only act of safety. There is no guarantee over

any man who is not saved. Are we together? So

the foundation of the believer's journey must stand not with

longevity of church attendance. You would think that many people

feel that haven't been ten years in church. There are
16:48
many young people who assume that they are saved simply

because they were born by Christian parents and pass through
16:54
the regulars from the school system, and by reason of consistency,

they are naturally elected to be leaders or escorts, and
17:03
they gravitate into leadership. There are no assumptions with Jesus.

Are we learning many of us if I presume, have

passed through some sort of tertiary system of education in
17:21
every institution. Did you know that there are people who
17:24
buy and sell within the campus, and yet they are
17:26
not students. Some of them were born there, they've been
17:29
there for many years. They can tell you everything, they
17:33
can show you when you come in as a new student.

They can direct you to every faculty, But that does
17:38
not mean their professors just because they've been around the
17:41
institution does not automatically in degree or a master's or
17:46
a PhD on them. There is a system that they
17:50
must pass through. So there is a deception that is
17:53
destroying people in the church. And let me challenge us

respectfully speaking, these are the sea, isn't where you need

to examine everybody under your care to verifive whether they
18:05
are saved. Don't assume your children are saved. Are day saved? Indeed?

Don't assume your spouse is saved? Are day saved? Indeed?

Don't assume the leaders in a church are saved. Are

day saved? Indeed? Are we learning? Yes? So the believers

journey starts with the encounter with Jesus, the Son of

the Living God. Encounter with angels does not bring salvation. Hello,

please look up, Please look up. We have to verify

who is when it has to do with salvation. It

is the office of the Christ. According to the authority

of Scripture. You have to encounter Christ. Inasmuch as the

Holy Spirit, according to the integrity of the Holy Spirit,

is the one who comes to be the manifestation of

the presence of Jesus in your life. But you don't

give your life to the Holy Spirit. You give your

life to Jesus, the Son of the Living God. This

is what the Bible teaches there are many many believe

these things are not corrected, who be in trouble in

the next few years to come because there are people

who have encountered angels genuinely and they believe they are

saved just because they met angels. It is not in

the office of angels to give you salvation because you

have an encounter with Heaven or Hell. Congratulations for your encounter,

but it does not mean you are saved. A good

Christian name is not equal to salvation. A good voice

and intelligence. You went through the sun, the school system

very well, you can quote scripture. It does not equal salvation.

There are situations in our lives and in the House

of God that does not require counseling. It does not

require committees to meet and help people. Many people have

just not met Jesus. It's as simple and as honest

as that. You may have heard me say it that

the greatest need of an unbeliever is not counseling. The

greatest need of a nonbeliever is not rehabilitation. The greatest

need of an unbeliever is salvation. It's as simple as that.

No matter what you give a unbeliever, no matter how

well meaning you are, if salvation does not become the

whole map of your gift to him. You did not

help him. Are We're blessed? So let's move past the

salvation experience. Now, now, by the privilege of God's race,

you have encountered Jesus genuinely and based on the authority

of scripture. The Bible says, if you believe in him,

remember the protocol for salvation is in Romance, Chapter ten,

from verse eight to ten. Romans ten, from verse eight

to ten. It says, the world is near you in

your heart and in your mouth, even the world of

faith that we preach. Is that true that gives you

confess Jesus Christ as your Lord, and you believe in

your heart that God raised him from the dead. The

Bible says, you shall be saved. So there's no confusion

as to how we are saved. That salvation is a

product of the heart and the leaps, not the heart alone.

The heart first, but then the leaps, it says, for

with the heart man believes onto righteousness, and then it

says with the mouth confession is made onto salvation. Praise

the name of the Lord. So if and when a

believer is saved, that is wonderful. But then that also

creates a new kind of problem, and we have a

lot of this also in the house of God, remaining

at the gates of the kingdom without any potential for growth. Now,

it will be unfair for any parent to give bed

to a child. Imagine a mother who gives bed to

a child, and after two hours, the woman is impatient

with the baby's crying and not working and begins to
22:26
flop that baby and says, look, I've given you two hours.

It's more than enough time to start working. That's too early,

is that true? But then the same woman after two years,

three years, if that baby is not working and not talking,
22:40
that is no longer an issue of childishness. That becomes

a health concern. Am I right on that? So if

you get saved, that is not all to your Christian experience.

That is only the foundation of the journey. Unfortunately, many

believers get satisfied with us the encounter with Jesus, the

Son of the Living God, and they remain there with

no intention and no press for growth and maturity. I

and or show you to growth and maturity. When you

encounter Jesus, the Son of the Living God, your next

most important encounter is the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Remember Jesus was teaching about the Holy Spirit, and here's

tell you, he said, but he cannot bear them. Now

is that? How be it? When he the Spirit of

Truth is come that he will guide you into all truth.

And we believe us, yeah, that he will guide you

into all truth. The Holy spirit assignment is to bring

you into an experiential understanding of this life you have

world is the revelation of God's promises. You may have

of God's principles. The modus operandi of the Kingdom. Every kingdom,

a modus operandi. Now you are in the kingdom, you

have to begin to learn the ways of God. Is

that true? You learn how God prospers, You learn how

people grow, You learn how God restores. You learn how

to relate with an invisible God in heaven. How do

I relate with the God in heaven who I cannot

see with my optical eyes, Yet the Bible tells me

he's real. I must now learn the ways of faith.

Hebrews eleven and verse six it says, without faith, it

The assignment of what we call the fivefold ministry according

and teach us. Why did he give them? Clearly stated

in scripture for the equipping the perfecting of the saints.

The word perfection there means the maturing of the saints.

So these gifts that we call pastors or preachers in

partnership with the Holy Spirit and in partnership with the

for the growth and the maturity of the believer. Jeremiah

designed the system that every believer should be planted within

a spiritual fall for the purpose of maturity and growth.

The purpose of the church is not just a common

receive miracles. It is one of the things that happen

in church. But the primary assignment of the church is

that the church is God authorized platform for the growth

and the maturity of the believer. Allelujah, the ministry of

the Holy Spirit, the ministry of the world, and the

ministry of the teaching priest. When God brings you to

a point where He connects you to a man of

God who loves Jesus and can teach you the ways

of God, he connects you with the Word of God

for your personal edification. He connects you with the ministry

of the Holy Spirit. Now your journey to spiritual growth

and maturity can begin properly. Let me tell you any

believer who violates this pattern there will be a side

effect in their growth. Are we together now? So you

find out that there are believers who get saved, genuinely saved,

but because they never had the opportunity to be mentored.

Their spiritual pathway is not methodical. There is just a

random learning of anything. And how many of you agree

with me that it is not just truth that blesses

It is true that is seen quite sally arranged. The

look up. There are certain things a believer should know

before learning about prosperity. There are certain things a believer

should know before learning about demons, before learning about spiritual warfare.

If you don't know who you are in Christ, and

you do not understand the reality of your oneness with

Christ and your positional advantage, learning about demons will only

the share that comes as a result of not knowing

who you are, will open the grate for demons to

oppress you. Are you seeing that now? So this is

the danger of believers trying to grow on their own.

Can I tell you hear me? You cannot God and

press into God, but you cannot grow on your own.

When Jesus was twelve years as the Word of God,

he was in the temple, he was not wasting his

of pride. There are many young people who believe, look,

I have more revelation than my pastor, I have more knowledge.

And sometimes they may be right. Maybe because of the

avenues they have exposed themselves to, they may seem to

have had some more things. So they look at the

man of God and say, this man of God, what

else can I learn from you? Oh, Dear God, will

always use the voice of Eli to call somewhere, So

if you neglect the voice of Eli, you will not

hear God. You would think God will bypast elif simply

because he wants to do something great with somewhere. That's

the reason why you have these shades of imbalances in

our spiritual growth. People with no character but high level anointing,

or people with character and no grace, no power whatsoever.

All of these imbalances were supposed to be a product.

How many of you have seen young people who learned

how to drive by themselves. Most often than not, there

are mistakes they will make sooner or later. Just because

you can move a car well and a car has

not hit you yet does not mean you are doing

the right thing. You can be making a mistake for

ten years, and the day that trailer will hit you

it will remind you. Is like a backlog of your

mistakes for ten years accumulated in one accident. Is that

true spiritual maturity. Even though Paul met with Jesus Christ

on his way to Damascus, you would think that after

his encounter with Jesus Christ, he should not need anybody again.

Jesus himself referred him to the house of Judas to
