Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Celebrity news. Oh you like that.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Jennifer Lopez has had her fair share of public breakups
- 0:06Speaker 2: and divorces, but to me, she always comes across looking bulletproof.
- 0:10Speaker 2: You never see her waiver, even though you know she's
- 0:12Speaker 2: just split with someone.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You'll see her out there being a boss bitch the
- 0:15Speaker 1: next day.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but it turns out that's not necessarily the case,
- 0:18Speaker 2: because she's just done a new interview and she spoke
- 0:20Speaker 2: about the lowest point she had with her divorce from
- 0:23Speaker 2: Ben Affleck. So apparently she was sitting down watching a
- 0:26Speaker 2: movie with her dad. The movie is called I'm Still Here.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It's a Brazilian biopic about a family that's dealing with
- 0:31Speaker 2: the forced disappearance of the father during a military dictatorship.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Sounds like not my kind of movie, but anyway, I'd
- 0:37Speaker 2: like it.
- 0:38Speaker 1: It's like something I wouldn't watch. That's the one she
- 0:40Speaker 1: was watching.
- 0:40Speaker 2: And it's irrelevant because she says the movie hit her
- 0:43Speaker 2: hard and she ended up bursting into tears in front
- 0:45Speaker 2: of her dad.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So she tells the story.
- 0:48Speaker 3: A couple of years ago, I got really sick around
- 0:52Speaker 3: Christmas time and I was in bed and my dad
- 0:56Speaker 3: came up to the room to see me. At that
- 0:58Speaker 3: time of my life, I was going through a divorce
- 1:02Speaker 3: and thinking a lot about my kids, and you know,
- 1:06Speaker 3: as you do when something like that happens in your life.
- 1:09Speaker 3: And we watch the movie, I'm still here, and you know,
- 1:14Speaker 3: he's like, oh, that was a nice movie. And he
- 1:16Speaker 3: turns around and he sees my face. Then it's like
- 1:19Speaker 3: all the tears. It's like water gushing down my face.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And he turns around, he sees me. I look at him,
- 1:24Speaker 3: and he goes, oh, baby, what's wrong.
- 1:26Speaker 4: And dads are so important, And he just kind of
- 1:33Speaker 4: came over to me and grab my face and he said,
- 1:36Speaker 4: I love you.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I always loved you. I think sometimes as kids we
- 1:40Speaker 3: don't know if our parents love us, even though we
- 1:44Speaker 3: know they love us.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:47Speaker 3: He knew that that's what I needed to hear, and
- 1:49Speaker 3: it healed a part of me.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Whenever I go through a breakup, particularly a very painful one,
- 1:55Speaker 2: the only thing that makes me feel better is like, yeah,
- 1:58Speaker 2: you go out with your girlfriends, you have some drinks,
- 1:59Speaker 2: you just yourself. But the only thing that truly makes
- 2:02Speaker 2: me feel better is being around my parents and my family,
- 2:05Speaker 2: Because don't you think they just make you realize you're
- 2:07Speaker 2: still loved, because at that point in time, you feel
- 2:09Speaker 2: so shit. You're like, no one loves me, I'm unlovable.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And then you have your parents and particularly your dad.
- 2:14Speaker 2: If your dad gets like emotional with.
- 2:16Speaker 5: You, no, not my old man. By growing up gay
- 2:21Speaker 5: gay heartbreak, I wasn't going to my parents.
- 2:25Speaker 1: That makes me, do you agree with me?
- 2:30Speaker 6: As soon as I go through anything with a partner.
- 2:33Speaker 6: I mean not so much my husband, but like ex boyfriends,
- 2:36Speaker 6: straight home or both. My dad is really quite soft
- 2:41Speaker 6: and mushy, like a disciplinary when we were growing up,
- 2:45Speaker 6: police prosecuted.
- 2:46Speaker 1: He is a police prosecuted.
- 2:49Speaker 6: I've got a few smacks on the bum, yeah, but
- 2:52Speaker 6: he is so soft at his core, and like, I've
- 2:57Speaker 6: never not felt incredibly loved by both of them. It's
- 3:00Speaker 6: almost like when I've gone through heartaches and breakups and stuff,
- 3:04Speaker 6: I can almost shake it off so much easier because
- 3:07Speaker 6: I have them and because of their presence in my life.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I will be ruined when I lose them.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, and it's you think about it as
- 3:15Speaker 5: they get older. But I've had so many breakups, so
- 3:19Speaker 5: I'm a complete and utter disaster.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you are yeah, sorry, I reckon.
- 3:23Speaker 5: They thanks, I reckon. They just got over it. They
- 3:26Speaker 5: were there for the first and then the life you.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Became, they were like, get over it.
- 3:29Speaker 2: You became the boy who cried wolf because you'd say something,
- 3:32Speaker 2: I won't pick a girl like that again.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And then what happened? Hard to do not reflecting?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, no, you're good this time. Well done, Hello Alana,
- 3:40Speaker 2: good morning. Now the rock has opened up for the
- 3:43Speaker 2: first time about a serious cancer scare that he had
- 3:46Speaker 2: so apparently he was showering. I want to know if
- 3:48Speaker 2: you do this Mikey in Brooklyn and he felt a
- 3:51Speaker 2: painful lump in his testicles.
- 3:55Speaker 1: As women, we're taught and we do breast.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Cancer check here it is, which we encourage it on
- 4:00Speaker 2: the first of every month to check your breast. Do
- 4:02Speaker 2: you feel around down there and make sure everything's all good?
- 4:04Speaker 5: I should, well, honestly, if our hand is down in
- 4:08Speaker 5: that region, not what it's touching.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You should. You should because it's very prevalent. Why don't
- 4:14Speaker 1: you do? You do me and I'll do you.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Oh wow?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Trying to correct the narrative that you are gay? Why
- 4:21Speaker 1: do you do this? Come out? Just come out now.
- 4:24Speaker 1: It would make a great radio moment. Let's be honest,
- 4:27Speaker 1: we were encouraging checking your testicle.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I'd wear gloves so to be not gay, because then
- 4:32Speaker 2: you never touched them the gloves.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Did he cannot wear gloves. I'm married though, So.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Back to the serious nature of this story.
- 4:42Speaker 2: So the rock was he felt it in his testicles,
- 4:45Speaker 2: and he's like, I got to get this checked out, right,
- 4:47Speaker 2: But he kept the whole thing from his wife.
- 4:50Speaker 1: So I'm talking.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It took a couple of days to book in with
- 4:52Speaker 2: the doctor. Then they had to do tests, they had
- 4:55Speaker 2: to do ultrasounds and everything. Originally the doctor actually said
- 4:58Speaker 2: there's a decent chance that this is cancer, but he
- 5:01Speaker 2: just lived with thinking you mean, I mean, like doing
- 5:04Speaker 2: press and everything because you're the rock, going around just
- 5:06Speaker 2: thinking I could have cancer and I could be dying.
- 5:09Speaker 2: And then when the ultrasound came back showing he didn't,
- 5:13Speaker 2: that's when he decided to tell his wife, which I
- 5:15Speaker 2: understand because he didn't want to worry her, but so geez,
- 5:18Speaker 2: like this, wouldn't she want an hope?
- 5:20Speaker 6: Also, I think I can understand why he didn't, but
- 5:23Speaker 6: I would actually be a little bit annoyed if I
- 5:26Speaker 6: was his wife. I feel like, if you're married to
- 5:28Speaker 6: someone and you're their teammate and you're there to support
- 5:32Speaker 6: them through the highs and the lows, if you're not
- 5:34Speaker 6: sharing that kind of information with me, and you're only
- 5:37Speaker 6: telling me after the fact because.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It's good news betrayal, I would.
- 5:41Speaker 6: All like, what's the point in this marriage? Like, I'm
- 5:44Speaker 6: a I'm your teammate, Let me help you through this stuff.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You know what.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I'm proud of him for going to the doctor though,
- 5:49Speaker 2: because men are idiotless when it comes to like, my
- 5:52Speaker 2: partner is exactly like this as well. Anything happens, his
- 5:55Speaker 2: mentalities are to be right. He doesn't go to the
- 5:57Speaker 2: doctor for anything him. I forced him recently. He's thirty
- 6:02Speaker 2: four years old. He'd never had a skin check, and
- 6:04Speaker 2: I took him to the skin place and made him
- 6:06Speaker 2: get one.
- 6:07Speaker 1: We're in Australia. He goes to the beach. Did you
- 6:09Speaker 1: have any dangerous minds?
- 6:10Speaker 6: No?
- 6:10Speaker 2: He didn't, and he knows why we don't go.
- 6:13Speaker 1: See I didn't need to go.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I'm like, but can't you live now better with the
- 6:17Speaker 2: peace of mind that you don't have it?
- 6:19Speaker 5: Had a girlfriend forced me to do it? Same thing,
- 6:22Speaker 5: but they found two things and then I freaked out.
- 6:24Speaker 5: But I've never had a blood test.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I told you guys that that's crazy to me. But
- 6:27Speaker 1: I need one. I'm not saying I never had an
- 6:29Speaker 1: STI check either.
- 6:30Speaker 5: What media, No, I've had them. No the test.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Oh, then you have had a blood test that doctor.
- 6:43Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no, no no no.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Come in and this one looks really good. Yuck? What
- 6:51Speaker 1: doctor does?
- 6:52Speaker 2: This doctor work in the same practice as your psychologist with.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Three and hoo is to help, he's got a three
- 6:57Speaker 1: and a massage. Oh okay,
