- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning.
- 0:29From the chicken coop, so no pun intended, but kind of ha.
- 0:34Today we're going to talk about putting all your eggs in one
- 0:37basket. So I am a big fan of making sure
- 0:42that you are diversified in lots of areas of your life, not
- 0:46talking about relationships and having multiple people.
- 0:50That's not what it because I had a client I was talking to about
- 0:52this the other day and she's like, do you mean like having
- 0:54multiple guys? And I was like, no, I'm not
- 0:56talking about that at all. Talking about in general in
- 1:00life, sometimes we put all our eggs in one basket because we
- 1:04have been told and conditioned for so long to believe that we
- 1:08have to be one thing, focused on one thing.
- 1:10In order to be good at it. You have to create mastery in
- 1:13that. Well, I have a completely
- 1:15different opinion of this. And again, my opinion, you may
- 1:19think completely different, but I think that diversity in
- 1:23knowledge base, diversity in activity, diversity in in
- 1:27multiple areas of your life helps you create long term
- 1:33happiness because you're you don't get bored, you're able to
- 1:37function at a higher level, you cross pollinate your learning
- 1:40from one strategy to another and putting all your eggs in one
- 1:44basket says, OK, I'm not going to focus on anything else.
- 1:48Now if you are a person who has obsessive passion for something,
- 1:52like let's just say that you are absolutely obsessed with playing
- 1:56the violin and that is your thing.
- 1:58And you know, from the time you were five years old, you were
- 2:01meant to play the violin and you just feel it and you can't wait
- 2:03to play the violin. This may not be for you.
- 2:07It may be though, because you by playing other instruments, you
- 2:10actually become better at playing the violin.
- 2:12That is a true statement. People who cross pollinate.
- 2:15That's why cross training is such a big deal for athletes.
- 2:18You know, Olympic athletes regularly will say, OK, well, if
- 2:22I'm a runner, I'm going to also make sure that I bike.
- 2:25I'm going to also make sure that I do a bunch of other things
- 2:28because that helps me in my whole physical training,
- 2:32swimming. When you cross pollinate
- 2:35yourself, you end up in a way better physical state.
- 2:39So it's just, it's just a natural thing to say, OK, let me
- 2:43try different ultimate things. Money.
- 2:45You know, you might do something for a job during the day, day in
- 2:49which you trade time for money and then you have investments,
- 2:52you have stock investments, you invest yourself.
- 2:55You might have a business that you run on the side.
- 2:59It's having multiple streams that come into the pond, whether
- 3:03the it's a pond we're talking about for cash, creativity,
- 3:06whatever it might be. Having diversity in that plan
- 3:11helps you psychologically because you can shift gears.
- 3:14So for instance, Einstein, he played the piano and other
- 3:18instruments as well. But when he would get stuck in
- 3:21math, when he would get stuck in physics and he could not have a
- 3:26a thought about something, he would switch and he would go
- 3:29play. He would stop and he would go
- 3:31play. He would he would write, he
- 3:32would do other things. Because he knew if he did that
- 3:35all of a sudden his brain would loosen up and he would have
- 3:38different awarenesses, different identities, and and boom, things
- 3:42change. So the point of this is I wanted
- 3:46to make it clear that everybody that has problems with this and
- 3:50everybody gets stuck, myself included.
- 3:52You know, we we had that whole thing happened here where, you
- 3:57know we lost some chickens and Dottie was one of them and it
- 4:00was, it was an absolute mess and I was a mess and you know, they
- 4:04are my, they are my family. They are my pets.
- 4:07They are a part of this Wellness that I'm teaching you and
- 4:13created. And the thing that I think
- 4:15that's so important is when something happens, it affects
- 4:18you. So it affected me and it threw
- 4:20me off and I knew it and I had to try different things to bring
- 4:24myself back. And thank goodness, actually
- 4:27having built those different streams to come into my Wellness
- 4:33helped me pull out of it. It helped me because I was able
- 4:37to say, OK, what's the one thing that I know is going to really
- 4:41pull me me out right now? Well, sometimes it's just simply
- 4:44reading. And for me it was like, okay.
- 4:46I'm just going to dive into reading a bunch of different
- 4:48things, listening to different books, because I'll sometimes
- 4:52read, sometimes I'll do audibles, just depends on the
- 4:55mood I'm in. But I just started learning,
- 4:57learning, learning, learning. I jumped on my master class app,
- 5:02which I love. If you've never purchased a
- 5:04master class, I don't get anything for this.
- 5:07I'm just telling you it's a wonderful, wonderful tool.
- 5:09masterclass.com and you can learn from famous people all
- 5:13over the world. And it takes you very little
- 5:16time. An hour to get a whole class in
- 5:17typically. And you can, I promise you, you
- 5:22can walk away with stuff that will benefit you.
- 5:25So I started diving into that, and as soon as I shifted myself
- 5:29from sorrow and and frustration, I was able to go, OK, I'm taking
- 5:34in things, I'm learning, I'm building myself up, I'm filling
- 5:37the gap back up. So just remember, not all your
- 5:41eggs in one basket, put them in baskets.
- 5:44Decide at the beginning of the year what do your baskets look
- 5:47like and what are you going to go to so that you can tap into
- 5:51them as soon as you need them. OK my friends, I hope you have a
- 5:54blessed day and I will see you all tomorrow.
- 5:56Bye.
