- 0:08SPEAKER_02: So he got bumped out.
- 0:09SPEAKER_02: For whatever reason on our app in the past two months, it started to do this thing.
- 0:13SPEAKER_02: If your phone updates, it bumps you out as a uh registered.
- 0:16SPEAKER_02: Well, you're still registered.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: It just un like uh you have to go back in and put your you put your you have to re-go in.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: You have to re-log in because log in, thank you.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: That was the word while that escaped me.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: If you get logged out, then uh when you're texting us, it just shows you as a guest.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: And we want to make sure, like, especially Redneck Bill, we want to give you your flowers, whatever you're texting us.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: You are a staple of the show.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: So, yes, that's it.
- 0:39SPEAKER_02: That proves right there.
- 0:41SPEAKER_02: Staple of our lives.
- 0:41SPEAKER_02: Now, Kathy, I'm not gonna read your text on the air, but boy, am I gonna let Gavin read that off the air.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: So Gavin's our corporate guy who's singing.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: You want to say hi?
- 0:49SPEAKER_02: Say hi.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: There he goes, there he is.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: Yellow.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: There he is.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Now, Gavin, I know that you work for corporate, but have you ever actually been on the radio before?
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Actually, yeah, doing kind of like uh little app introductions and stuff like this, but you guys don't need no intro because you already know what you're doing.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, you're so sweet.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: He's just gonna hang with us for a little bit.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: He's like, Oh, I want to see what you guys do.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: I'm like, well, that's a disaster.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Before we get to the big three, because we have to cover the the Lindsay Clancy case.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: I want to I want to give you the left- not only Lindsey Clancy, the Tupac thing.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: Both those had something similar happen yesterday.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Wait, but that's not in this big three.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: That's gonna be the next big three.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Well, you don't write my big three.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: Oh, you're right, I don't.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: So now you have to be there for the next big three.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: I have to be here for two hours.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Yes, exactly.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: The last question you should always ask in an interview.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: If you're going to an interview today, or I mean, maybe next week, what is the last question you should always ask?
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Gavin, you want to take a shot at this?
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: This is you being interviewed.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: In other words, you're you're there.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: And I mean, let's be real, it's radio.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: Any of us could need a new interview soon.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Is there anything uh in this conversation that we missed that?
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's a good one.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: That's a really good one like that.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: That's not the last question that you should ask, though.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: It is what are the next steps in this process?
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: And the reason is Oh, hearing that now it makes total sense.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: Yes, so it gives you some sort of I want a future here.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: And that that way they know, hey, this person wants communication.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: I want to communicate with them.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: It's a two-way street.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: That's why you should ask that.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: I like the fact that it almost implies that you're taking a little bit of control going, you are going to hire me.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: And what is the next step?
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Yes, and communicate with me.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Because the next step might be another interview, but at least tell me that.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: So one more time.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: Here we are, wrapping up the interview.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Uh Ellie, I I think we've covered everything that I need.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: I I have to tell you, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: And uh, you know, this morning show co-host opportunity, uh, I have a few more people that I have to inter interview.
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: Should have done that 20 years ago.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: Um, but uh, you know, you wouldn't have had this.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's right.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: Uh, but I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you coming in today.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Uh, I do have one more question before I go.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: What are the next steps in this process?
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Uh, the bathroom's right across the hall.
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: And three, two, one.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: You're listening to Scott and Allie.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: You think you're so funny.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Yes, I do.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: The big three is brought to you by ENV Energy.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: So we're getting into, and I know you don't want to hear this, but we're getting gonna be getting into colder weather.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: I've told you this.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: I said, I think we're gonna get an early fall, and I think it's gonna be a cold as heck one.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: So if you need propane, fuel oil, kerosene, they can deliver to your home, farm, even business with no delivery fees or surcharges.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: Call or look online, of course, ENV as Invictor Energy.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: More than a thousand people are missing, and at least 400 people dead after flash flooding tore through Nepal and Tibet early Wednesday.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Now, according to some initial assessments, a massive chunk of ice snapped off of a glacier and tumbled thousands of feet into the valley below.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Rock, ice, and mud plunged down for miles.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: One of the things that I heard this morning, because I was listening to a report about this, the uh recovery efforts are so difficult because they can only get in by helicopter right now.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: And that's why it's gonna take so many more days to hopefully recover more people.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: They were at sea more than 250 days, and now the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier will briefly stop in Thailand next week before returning to San Diego.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: The Thai Navy called it a routine port visit, no biggie.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: And you wanted to know about the Lindsay Clancy case, of course.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: A Massachusetts jury is deciding the fate of Lindsay Clancy, accused of murdering her three children.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: Clancy's defense argues she suffered postpartum psychosis.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Prosecutors contend she knew right from wrong.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Here's where I think, I mean, here's my little editorial.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be tough for her.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: The jury, nine women.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: Oh, see, no, I think that's going to assist her.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: Being the fact nine women, because uh the the loudest voice for postpartum depression comes from the female uh voice, which look, it's a real thing.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: Her biggest hurdle, there are three dead kids.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: But you but that's where see, this is where I differ.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Because if there's nine women, mothers uh Oh, you're thinking they're like, how could you do that to your children?
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 5:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know what?
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: If I knew ages, that might help.
- 5:17SPEAKER_02: No, not the kids, the uh jurors.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm like, uh, does it matter?
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: No, no, that doesn't no it because I there probably uh a younger generation is gonna be very much more accepting to hmm, these are things that really happen.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: Remember, what do we always hear?
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: A lot of people from older generations, and when I'm saying older generations, I don't mean old people.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: I'm just saying, you know, let's go, you know, 82 and up.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: If you know, you you were like, Well, you're just supposed to love your child.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: That's what they were all told.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: Everybody was told that.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: You are supposed to just love your child.
- 5:51SPEAKER_02: How could this happen?
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: You you just love your child, you get through it, you'll be okay.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: They must have just pushed through postpartum or forgot.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: I I don't know.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: It's the younger, it's the younger voices that have started to get louder about it.
- 6:03SPEAKER_02: And listen, believe me, I know it's a real thing.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: I'm not taking anything away from that.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: Except for the fact that she's got an uphill battle because there's three dead kids.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: Well, they did deliberations yesterday, back today, and she could face mandatory life without parole.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: We'll see what happens.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Of course, if there's anything that breaks during the show, we'll tell you.
