- 1:10Speaker 2: state South Carolina. Y'all thought y'all were gonna do that
- 1:14Speaker 2: redictriary thing, and we now say anything, lay that down.

- 1:43Speaker 1: And before I make those two decisions, I'll be gone. Okay, but.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I am here with another author on this Tuesday night,
- 1:52Speaker 2: and y'all, I didn't even know I had her on
- 1:56Speaker 2: my two reader lists. You know how you have an author,
- 1:59Speaker 2: they go by this, but then you see this name, and.
- 2:03Speaker 1: When you put the names in the face together, you're like, hey,
- 2:06Speaker 1: I got some of your books. I mighty to be read.
- 2:09Speaker 1: That is what just happened to me.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Okay, So I think me and her met when I
- 2:15Speaker 2: put off the call to do some interviews.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Y'all, I'm always putting off the call to do interviews.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So if you want to have.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Your interview live or pre recorded, y'all need to get
- 2:24Speaker 2: at me.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I am so honored that she answered. So I'm not
- 2:30Speaker 2: gonna call her Miss Gonzalez. I am called her Angel
- 2:36Speaker 2: the Author. Come on up, girly, come on.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Hi, hey, miss lady, how are you?
- 2:47Speaker 2: Or she got the hearty, how it's gonna be?
- 2:55Speaker 1: Listen?
- 2:57Speaker 2: She started it, not me, she started tonight. Yet, I
- 3:06Speaker 2: know you sent me a bio, but I want everybody
- 3:10Speaker 2: to know about you from your ears, tell us from
- 3:14Speaker 2: your mouth to their ears. Ego, So tell us a
- 3:16Speaker 2: little bit about yourself.
- 3:18Speaker 1: All right?
- 3:19Speaker 2: Well, I am Angel Gonzales, aka Angel the Author. I
- 3:26Speaker 2: am first and foremost a mother before anything. I had
- 3:29Speaker 2: four beautiful children. I'm originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and I
- 3:36Speaker 2: got into writing books as of recently, but I've always
- 3:40Speaker 2: written poetry.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I've always written short stories.
- 3:45Speaker 2: And believe it or not, reading started out as a
- 3:49Speaker 2: punishment for me when I was a kid. You let
- 3:52Speaker 2: me know if you want to know the story.
- 3:57Speaker 1: See now, you're the opposite of my child. I put
- 4:00Speaker 1: her under punishment. She cool without the TV. She's fine
- 4:05Speaker 1: without the phone. Oh for sure. I put her under punishment.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I walk in the room.
- 4:09Speaker 2: This girl got the right on reading the book. I
- 4:11Speaker 2: was like, okay, you know you want to.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I mean, that was me and my mom used to
- 4:19Speaker 1: snatch chords and snatch TVs and everything, and I just
- 4:23Speaker 1: started reading and I started. That was my first My
- 4:26Speaker 1: first love was poetry, and that's where it came from.
- 4:31Speaker 1: So poetry. A lot of authors start with poetry.
- 4:36Speaker 2: So I'm gonna ask you a question, and I've really
- 4:38Speaker 2: never asked anybody before that I could think of, how
- 4:42Speaker 2: easy or how hard was the progression from poetry the
- 4:46Speaker 2: full length novel. It has been a journey. It has
- 4:52Speaker 2: been a journey. It's definitely was a challenge. I mean,
- 4:59Speaker 2: I feel like, if you can write you can write, right.
- 5:03Speaker 2: So starting out with poetry, it just it kind of
- 5:08Speaker 2: paved the way into.
- 5:09Speaker 1: The urban fiction, the novels and things like that.
- 5:12Speaker 2: So I wouldn't say that it's really really hard. I
- 5:16Speaker 2: feel like, if it's something you got, you got it,
- 5:19Speaker 2: you know. But again, I love me some poetry, and
- 5:23Speaker 2: I think I'm a drop some poetry one of these
- 5:26Speaker 2: days soon, hopefully. Oh see see, I see you dropping.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I see you dropping nuggets, trying to beat us in there.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I mean, you are got us at the coon and
- 5:38Speaker 2: you gotta be all like that. So poetry to full
- 5:46Speaker 2: length novels. And why did you even start to write poetry?
- 5:50Speaker 1: What?
- 5:50Speaker 2: What made writing a part of your life? So I
- 5:55Speaker 2: had a teacher in the fifth grade. I went to
- 5:58Speaker 2: Raymond Elementary in Cleveland, Ohio, and her name, I don't
- 6:02Speaker 2: remember her name, but she used to we did would
- 6:06Speaker 2: have this day where you would like write, or you
- 6:10Speaker 2: would do coloring, or you would read. I was in
- 6:12Speaker 2: the fifth grade and I chose to write. And so
- 6:15Speaker 2: every I believe it was every Thursday, I would have
- 6:19Speaker 2: a short story for her. And one day she put
- 6:22Speaker 2: me on the spot and she read it in front
- 6:24Speaker 2: of the class and the class loved it and she
- 6:26Speaker 2: was just like, hey, you know I have these poetry competitions.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I want you to check them out.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And so, you know hi vera and so I got
- 6:37Speaker 2: into it. I won a couple of contests and it
- 6:40Speaker 2: was a rap from there.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Ooh, So how did you feel when you won your
- 6:45Speaker 1: first contest?
- 6:47Speaker 2: I was so I didn't it was surreal. I didn't
- 6:50Speaker 2: think it was possible, just like I didn't think it
- 6:53Speaker 2: was possible for me to be where I am right now.
- 6:55Speaker 2: But I am, you know so.
- 6:58Speaker 1: As right?
- 7:00Speaker 2: So are you under publishing house or you're independent? I
- 7:10Speaker 2: am with Bonnie Blanco Presents, So I am. I would
- 7:14Speaker 2: say I'm under a publishing house that is my publisher.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And you know the BBP girls, I know they down there.
- 7:23Speaker 1: It's a weird. So how did it feel that had
- 7:27Speaker 1: that backing with you?
- 7:29Speaker 2: I know it has to be awesome to know that
- 7:34Speaker 2: you could be like, hey can you look at this
- 7:36Speaker 2: for me?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Or hey can you look at that for me?
- 7:39Speaker 2: How does that encourage you and make you feel better
- 7:43Speaker 2: as a writer?
- 7:45Speaker 1: Say it one more time? You kind of cut out
- 7:47Speaker 1: a little bit. Okay, I'm sorry.
- 7:50Speaker 2: How does having that backing of your publishing house help
- 7:54Speaker 2: you as an author. I mean, I know sometimes you
- 7:57Speaker 2: may have an idea, bounce it off.
- 8:00Speaker 1: How does that help?
- 8:02Speaker 2: So she believed in my pen. She believed in my pen.
- 8:07Speaker 2: That's really when when someone asked me questions along those lines.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I submitted my manuscripts to previous publishers and I was
- 8:18Speaker 2: turned out. And it's okay, because you know it's a
- 8:20Speaker 2: learning experience, right, And I submitted to her, and she
- 8:25Speaker 2: she believed in me. She pours into me. She's very positive,
- 8:30Speaker 2: very sweet, very talented. I have nothing but good things
- 8:34Speaker 2: to say about her. Nothing but she's amazing. That is
- 8:39Speaker 2: what's up to knowing that you have someone that is
- 8:43Speaker 2: there to support you and tell you to keep going.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I'm hearing a lot of people who say they sending
- 8:51Speaker 2: the book off to publishing houses and they just get
- 8:55Speaker 2: that rejection letter. I just wish some times that they
- 8:57Speaker 2: would give a reason why they rejected them. You know,
- 9:03Speaker 2: some people want to know what they did, what they
- 9:06Speaker 2: did wrong, to see if they could change it, or
- 9:09Speaker 2: even if they would like to change it. So I
- 9:12Speaker 2: think that's I think you having that backing and having
- 9:16Speaker 2: that person that to bounce ideas off is an awesome idea.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I say this, this is my motto.
- 9:24Speaker 2: You know, I'm not everybody's I'm not everybody's cup of
- 9:28Speaker 2: tea tequila don Julio.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I am what I am, you know. So, but she
- 9:34Speaker 1: accepts me, she loves me, and she embraces me, and
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm happy to be there. She said, tequila down. You
- 9:42Speaker 1: just went to listen. You you you forget Paul.
- 9:46Speaker 2: You can't forget Paul and Paul. You got to be
- 9:50Speaker 2: a special car the President's Oh Paul, you know, like
- 9:57Speaker 2: put don't have me cutting on the cut on his
- 9:59Speaker 2: interview and you see, while you while you had to
- 10:04Speaker 2: see that because see and y'all know I'm very upfront
- 10:07Speaker 2: and honest.
- 10:08Speaker 1: That's how my daughter got here. Paul my song, Hey, yeah,
- 10:13Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. Yeah. It came like
- 10:17Speaker 1: a story book. Anyways.
- 10:19Speaker 2: So how do you get your ideas for your book?
- 10:26Speaker 2: Are you walking around with posting notes? Do you have
- 10:30Speaker 2: composition notebooks? Are you somebody who doesn't on their phone? Like,
- 10:34Speaker 2: how do you come and put your ideas and store them?
- 10:40Speaker 2: They come in movies, right, So prime example, I could
- 10:44Speaker 2: be laying in bed at night. It could be three
- 10:47Speaker 2: o'clock in the morning. You ever had that moment where
- 10:49Speaker 2: you're like, where's my birth certificate?
- 10:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that's me. That's me.
- 10:52Speaker 2: When it comes to writing, I'm like, oh my god,
- 10:54Speaker 2: I gotta get up and write it down right now.
- 10:56Speaker 2: It just pops into my head and then I have to.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I will put it in my email, right because I
- 11:03Speaker 2: type in my email faster than I do on a keyboard, right,
- 11:07Speaker 2: So I put it in my email, copy and paste it.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I also have a notebook that I carry in my purse.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure people are like, what in the world
- 11:15Speaker 2: is what she got going on? But I do pull
- 11:18Speaker 2: my handy daddy notebook out and I'll be writing in
- 11:20Speaker 2: it when I be traveling.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So yup, I can't hear you, baby, I can't hear you, Patrice.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Sorry, Mike microphone went on, you're a mother of four? Yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 2: I do fine time to write, so I normally write
- 11:53Speaker 2: at night. And I also do what are called author sprint,
- 11:57Speaker 2: like writing sprints on TikTok. I'm consistent to an extent,
- 12:05Speaker 2: you know, unless life is life and or whatnot.
- 12:07Speaker 1: But I'll get on there. And I got a lot
- 12:10Speaker 1: of like.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Great pen sisters, and we will get on there, and
- 12:13Speaker 2: we will chat it up and we will get those
- 12:16Speaker 2: chapters knocked out. And so normally at night and then
- 12:22Speaker 2: you know, on the when I'm on the move in
- 12:24Speaker 2: my email during the day. So I have seen a
- 12:29Speaker 2: lot of the author writing sprints in TikTok.
- 12:33Speaker 1: At first, I didn't know what they were doing.
- 12:34Speaker 2: It's like, are they just sitting down there and just
- 12:37Speaker 2: But then I'm like, oh, they're writing, oh okay, just
- 12:41Speaker 2: like they do the reading sprints where somebody has musical
- 12:44Speaker 2: in the background and everybody is just reading.
- 12:47Speaker 1: So it is time we bring up this beautiful book
- 12:52Speaker 1: of yours.
- 12:55Speaker 2: First of all, authors kissed to this beautiful name, Lord.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Jesus Shackling wearing a suit? Yes, make you want to
- 13:14Speaker 1: enlarge the cover? Is he wearing a tooth? Total? Is
- 13:18Speaker 1: that a tap too?
- 13:19Speaker 2: So see, you can tell I pay too much attention
- 13:27Speaker 2: to the cover art. So tell us a little bit
- 13:29Speaker 2: about this cover art and how it pertains to your
- 13:32Speaker 2: actual novel.
- 13:34Speaker 1: All right, So.
- 13:36Speaker 2: The concept behind the title in the book cover is
- 13:43Speaker 2: basically when I was writing this, all I kept thinking
- 13:47Speaker 2: about was like bloodline business, bloodline business, like it just
- 13:50Speaker 2: ring in.
- 13:51Speaker 1: The back of my mind.
- 13:53Speaker 2: And so concrete secrets is like they have all of
- 13:57Speaker 2: these secrets that they're trying to take to the grave
- 14:01Speaker 2: with them, and they're trying to hide, but they just
- 14:03Speaker 2: keep coming out, one by one by one by like
- 14:06Speaker 2: every it's a page turner. So you you're getting secret
- 14:09Speaker 2: after secret after secret. And so I just dropped book
- 14:13Speaker 2: two on May night, so there's a part too to
- 14:16Speaker 2: this one as well, and we kind of go through
- 14:20Speaker 2: again the bloodline and how everybody has secrets and so
- 14:23Speaker 2: in book three everything will tie together and it will
- 14:26Speaker 2: all make sense.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I promise, it's a lot. I'm coming. I know it's
- 14:34Speaker 1: the characters. L what's what's the first name? Oh God, Lucious, Lucious.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So let me tell you.
- 14:41Speaker 2: When I read the synopsis and I did Pika pikaboo
- 14:44Speaker 2: through a couple of pages.
- 14:47Speaker 1: It gave me power.
- 14:49Speaker 2: But with some reverse bids, you know what I'm saying.
- 14:52Speaker 2: So I understand that Lucius, they.
- 14:58Speaker 1: All had secrets. Mm hmm.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Instead of Angela working for the Feds, Angela was as
- 15:06Speaker 2: dirty as them. Yeah, and Tommy was still Tommy like
- 15:13Speaker 2: he was and.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Eat eat it.
- 15:19Speaker 2: I stopped liking what is ghost and start chilling with Tommy.
- 15:23Speaker 2: It's like, yo, tell me that's what I'm talking about.
- 15:26Speaker 2: But and then ghosts. It seems like it was like
- 15:32Speaker 2: maybe season five when he was starting to run for
- 15:41Speaker 2: office and all of his secrets started coming out. That's
- 15:45Speaker 2: the vibe that I was getting when I was reading
- 15:47Speaker 2: your book.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Now, please tell me, Am I right? Am I wrong?
- 15:51Speaker 2: You?
- 15:51Speaker 1: Or stem me in the right direction.
- 15:53Speaker 2: So he's not exactly the mayor, but he is the
- 16:00Speaker 2: boss of the family, so he is his job. Lucius
- 16:03Speaker 2: has a lot on his back, right he hap hold
- 16:07Speaker 2: the family together. And what's happening is it is literally
- 16:13Speaker 2: cracking at the scenes and he is trying to hold
- 16:16Speaker 2: it all together. And so he is the one that
- 16:18Speaker 2: is responsible for the success of the bloodline, and he
- 16:22Speaker 2: ain't doing too good.
- 16:23Speaker 1: He ain't going too goody' So why did you put
- 16:28Speaker 1: so much pressure on him?
- 16:29Speaker 2: Because that it seems like every time, let's look at
- 16:31Speaker 2: it as a base, every time he seems up not
- 16:36Speaker 2: even a beast, that's a tire. Every time he steals
- 16:40Speaker 2: up something else, there's another hole. And to the point
- 16:44Speaker 2: where you see you up this tire so many times
- 16:47Speaker 2: it's gonna blow yep. And so that is the concept
- 16:53Speaker 2: like pressure first pipes right. So in book in book two,
- 16:59Speaker 2: the kids are older. So there's two main characters. There's
- 17:03Speaker 2: Major and there's Leland, and so they're the new book base,
- 17:07Speaker 2: by the way, just thought you know that. And so
- 17:11Speaker 2: they have taken on that pressure from him. He's trying
- 17:17Speaker 2: to retire and it's not working out too well. He's
- 17:20Speaker 2: trying to be on an island with his wife and
- 17:22Speaker 2: it's just not working out, you know, because he got
- 17:24Speaker 2: to come back and again he got to pull it
- 17:27Speaker 2: all together, you know. So was it easy to write
- 17:32Speaker 2: book two or do you feel like, oh my god,
- 17:35Speaker 2: where do I go from here?
- 17:37Speaker 1: Like? How do you make that smooth transition? These characters
- 17:41Speaker 1: are stressing me out?
- 17:43Speaker 2: Oh who they stressing me out?
- 17:51Speaker 1: It is so I am a.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I absolutely love me a short read, right, I know
- 17:58Speaker 2: you've heard of the Clockets. I absolutely love me a
- 18:03Speaker 2: short read. And so this book has been it has
- 18:06Speaker 2: pushed the limits. I like, I've pushed the limits with
- 18:08Speaker 2: this one, and I'm happy with the turnout. The dual
- 18:12Speaker 2: point of views is I like to do dual point
- 18:17Speaker 2: of views, but I think the next after the third installment,
- 18:21Speaker 2: the book after that is going to be a standalone.
- 18:24Speaker 2: It's gonna be take a little break.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So how do you deal with your characters?
- 18:32Speaker 2: Are you one of the authors who characters like will
- 18:35Speaker 2: start talking to him in the middle of them writing
- 18:38Speaker 2: a different scene and they have to stop. People deal
- 18:41Speaker 2: with that character, or you have your characters some whine
- 18:45Speaker 2: my characters.
- 18:46Speaker 1: We have me by my edges. They run me. My
- 18:49Speaker 1: characters run me.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Okay, they run me and they talk to me, and
- 18:53Speaker 2: they'd be like, girl, look I got something to say.
- 18:56Speaker 2: I need you to put this down on paper. And
- 18:58Speaker 2: I'd be like, oh, one o'clock in the morning, I'm
- 19:01Speaker 2: trying to sleep.
- 19:03Speaker 1: They run. So your characters are weak, you up and
- 19:07Speaker 1: you sleep.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I have so many like thoughts, and so I'd
- 19:11Speaker 2: be like, like last night, prime example, I'm like, oh
- 19:15Speaker 2: my god, book two, nobody knows who's Nina's father is.
- 19:19Speaker 2: This is what I'm gonna doing book three. This is
- 19:21Speaker 2: what I'm doing book three. So I have the whole
- 19:23Speaker 2: chapter of closing out that question, like, okay, cool, Now
- 19:27Speaker 2: everybody's gonna know who Nina's father is, and then we
- 19:31Speaker 2: can we can move on from there, you know. Okay,
- 19:35Speaker 2: so we know that you're your male character is Lucius.
- 19:39Speaker 2: What is your favorite female.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Character and why.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I would have to say Peache is my favorite female character,
- 19:50Speaker 2: and the reason being is pch don't take no crep
- 19:56Speaker 2: Like she's that, yeah, I'm gonna stand by you, you
- 19:59Speaker 2: my man, But she's not, you know, She's like, hey,
- 20:05Speaker 2: I'm here for the love and the stability, and she
- 20:10Speaker 2: like really keeps Lucia's in line. So I like her.
- 20:13Speaker 2: She's really strong and she's really like resilient. I would
- 20:19Speaker 2: say that's my favorite character.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Okay, So if you can have any of your characters
- 20:35Speaker 1: come and do this interviewer right with you, right now,
- 20:39Speaker 1: who would you choose that will be the oh my god,
- 20:46Speaker 1: did you just say that character?
- 20:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to say major why made Yeah? And
- 21:01Speaker 2: that's in the second stallment. So in this one, let
- 21:03Speaker 2: me stay on, let me stay the course. In this one,
- 21:06Speaker 2: I would have to say, Sweetie. Okay, So why would
- 21:15Speaker 2: Sweetie come on this show and act up? What does
- 21:17Speaker 2: she have to say that she wants everybody to know,
- 21:23Speaker 2: Sweetie just say what she want to say? Like she
- 21:25Speaker 2: don't she has no filter. She has absolutely no filter
- 21:29Speaker 2: at all. I'm telling you she ain't got no filter.
- 21:35Speaker 2: I'm not quite sure what she would say, but I
- 21:38Speaker 2: know she would have a good old time.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Okay, well let's do let's ask that question again, and
- 21:44Speaker 1: letus ask it differently. If Sweety was to come on
- 21:47Speaker 1: the on the show right now, what would she say
- 21:51Speaker 1: about you as an author?
- 21:55Speaker 2: She was saying that I am funny and supportive and
- 21:59Speaker 2: just a great author and a great person. I've come
- 22:04Speaker 2: into this community and I definitely pride myself on being
- 22:09Speaker 2: a great person and building like a positive community around me.
- 22:14Speaker 1: And I'm funny too. I don't know if you'd be
- 22:16Speaker 1: seeing my post, but girl, I'll be tripping. That's what
- 22:22Speaker 1: made me attracted. Thank you. Hey, hey, listen girl. So
- 22:36Speaker 1: remember behind the stage I was talking to you about
- 22:40Speaker 1: those fun questions. Yep, Yeah, time to go back to
- 22:48Speaker 1: the hot seat.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Oh we have some fun.
- 22:55Speaker 1: So all right, my journey, my favorite we let's bring
- 23:01Speaker 1: it up BT plus.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, they say you know what, we love you,
- 23:07Speaker 2: We really do. Okay, we want to make it into
- 23:13Speaker 2: a movie, but we need you to help us with
- 23:16Speaker 2: the characters. Okay, but there's some stipulation on how we
- 23:21Speaker 2: want these characters.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Can you work with us?
- 23:25Speaker 2: You say, sure, tell me what you want and I'll
- 23:29Speaker 2: try to get a character. I'll try to think of
- 23:31Speaker 2: who can be this character so lucious, But we need
- 23:40Speaker 2: Lucious to be a part of.
- 23:48Speaker 1: A boy band. Now we understand Lucius's very.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Hardcore core and there's always that one hardcore person in
- 23:58Speaker 2: the boy band.
- 24:00Speaker 1: What boy band would Lucius be a part of and
- 24:05Speaker 1: what member would he be?
- 24:10Speaker 2: Oh man, hm hmm, Hold on a way, I'm gonna
- 24:30Speaker 2: have to say, hm hmm.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Would have to be a rapper, right, it could be.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Now, notice, see you got it. All I say was
- 24:43Speaker 2: boy band. I didn't say it had to be R
- 24:45Speaker 2: and B. I didn't say it had to be gospel.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I didn't say it have to be Okay, well.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I said band. Now I'm gonna tell you what I
- 24:53Speaker 1: was thinking. Tuba. All right, I see.
- 25:03Speaker 2: You're going to see his territory with him? Why Tupac,
- 25:11Speaker 2: I just get you know, first of all, I love you.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Let's start there.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:16Speaker 1: That's why I.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Would have to say, because he's like, he's you know,
- 25:27Speaker 2: I don't know how to explain it.
- 25:30Speaker 1: You know, Lucia's Oh, He's like, yeah, what's up?
- 25:33Speaker 3: You know?
- 25:36Speaker 2: So I can see that because I actually chose Wu tang.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Okay, I'm you my new friends man.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Man if he wasn't married, he wasn't married, and you
- 25:53Speaker 2: know what, I didn't never, I did not know he
- 25:55Speaker 2: was married until then. We're doing an article about him
- 25:59Speaker 2: in the new movie be Heated with Killen Ruling're telling me, homegirl,
- 26:03Speaker 2: you got gee come that men had some Okay, trees, focus, focus, focus. Okay,
- 26:18Speaker 2: so we have Tupac, but now we gotta find a
- 26:23Speaker 2: strong female character for your lead, and that's Peachy or Peaches.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Peach oh so hard? Hold up, hold up, hold up.
- 26:38Speaker 1: She has to be in R and B Diva. Mm hmm,
- 26:44Speaker 1: R and B Diva mm hmm. I have somebody. I
- 26:49Speaker 1: have somebody in my mind. In my mind already I.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Would say faith Evans. You say faith Evans, but from
- 27:00Speaker 2: a little bit that. Okay, let's let's back up. Why
- 27:03Speaker 2: do you say faith Evans Because I feel like Peache.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Like so, there's a lot that y'all don't know about
- 27:12Speaker 2: Peacha yet, right, Peach seems like jes this soft woman
- 27:17Speaker 2: like okay, whatever, No she's not. And the we're going
- 27:22Speaker 2: into the thirty I'm gonna give you a little bit
- 27:24Speaker 2: of teeth. We're going into the third installment, and Peachey
- 27:27Speaker 2: is definitely not who she's been acting like or who
- 27:33Speaker 2: you think she is. So I'm gonna say that. So
- 27:35Speaker 2: remember Faith Evans when you read that book. Yeah, because
- 27:44Speaker 2: you know what, there was upon a time when they
- 27:46Speaker 2: say faith and doing a little Okay.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I have a guess, and they said Michelle. Oh, I
- 27:55Speaker 1: want to say.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Too, but you know who can mine And this lady
- 28:02Speaker 2: is half past crazy, all the way crazy. I was thinking,
- 28:09Speaker 2: oh lord, just because I say that, her name going
- 28:11Speaker 2: out of my mind. What's the one who was singing
- 28:14Speaker 2: what a Vonne? My first love? That got all the chill? Yeah,
- 28:22Speaker 2: Cooky White, Piky White.
- 28:24Speaker 1: We can go with Kiki. We can go because you
- 28:28Speaker 1: know what, just for the little parts that I've read
- 28:31Speaker 1: on her, she scared me. She like check.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I'm like, yo, this chicken ain't nobody to play with.
- 28:36Speaker 2: And when you look at Kiki when she's with her.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Kids, she's all sweet and loving, but let where her
- 28:42Speaker 1: husbands make her man all her face turned in and
- 28:47Speaker 1: it was over. So that's why I thought her, Okay,
- 28:51Speaker 1: we can do. We can go with k k O
- 28:53Speaker 1: k K Yeah, she excuse me.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Okay, y'all y'all have to. Okay, So y'all know, Broku
- 29:04Speaker 2: got these old channels, and I've been enjoying these old
- 29:07Speaker 2: channels looking at stuff like I remember that they had
- 29:11Speaker 2: marriage boot Camp and she was on I think this
- 29:14Speaker 2: might be husband.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Number two, number three.
- 29:18Speaker 2: When she would get mad with him, her eyebrows would
- 29:23Speaker 2: turn in, and I'm like, oh, yoh.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Oh, she is definitely something else.
- 29:27Speaker 2: And then I looked at R and B Divas when
- 29:30Speaker 2: she was on them. Yeah, it's all good. So we
- 29:37Speaker 2: had Kiki Whitett and we got two pounds. Can you
- 29:42Speaker 2: imagine them two together? No, that's like Bobby and Whitney
- 29:49Speaker 2: when they had their reality show.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Bobby.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Okay, what do you say? That's what? That's a love.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I don't want babies. What the devil? But okay, okay,
- 30:11Speaker 1: let's go back. Okay.
- 30:13Speaker 2: So we got Tubac and we had Kiki and they said,
- 30:17Speaker 2: you know what, great, we love that. Now we want
- 30:21Speaker 2: to make sure that this is not too much pressure
- 30:23Speaker 2: on you, and we would like to.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Bring in.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Just somebody to advise you and to help you out.
- 30:31Speaker 2: They're gonna be like a cold director with you. What
- 30:36Speaker 2: fellow author would you want to co direct with you.
- 30:40Speaker 2: And why I would have to say, my good is
- 30:47Speaker 2: Monique Love.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Because that is her.
- 30:51Speaker 2: That's her thing, you know, and I think she got
- 30:54Speaker 2: She always has some good things to say, whether it's
- 30:56Speaker 2: like ideas or just anything that you know along that line.
- 31:01Speaker 1: So I would have to say I would want to
- 31:03Speaker 1: do it with her money c Love. Did she do ake?
- 31:09Speaker 1: Is she the wonder the surgeon? No og? Yeah og
- 31:14Speaker 1: money club? That's her? Yeah? But he and he and
- 31:19Speaker 1: the and I called her like I didn't call.
- 31:24Speaker 2: I hit her on on Facebook and I said, did
- 31:26Speaker 2: you just do that to the catch?
- 31:28Speaker 1: She said, I was waiting till you got to that point.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I said, you was screened heart surgery. That's yep. I haven't.
- 31:36Speaker 2: When I get done writing, I'm gonna definitely take all
- 31:39Speaker 2: the time in the world to read Bop his sister's books,
- 31:43Speaker 2: my pan brother.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Man.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I had crew I knew you, and she said, I
- 31:50Speaker 2: sherely did. I was waiting on you to get to
- 31:52Speaker 2: that point.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I said, I said, you skin me. Now you sound
- 32:02Speaker 1: like her. That's exactly what you would say. But it
- 32:07Speaker 1: was great because I had her on my shew to.
- 32:09Speaker 1: She is a wonderful person.
- 32:11Speaker 2: So hold on y'all two together on the movie how
- 32:16Speaker 2: many people y'all gonna.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Kill because I'm kind of SKay, you know it's not
- 32:23Speaker 1: and how without reason? And then how y'all gonna kill him?
- 32:29Speaker 1: As another part des skit? You know what that'll be?
- 32:33Speaker 1: That would be a movie I would look forward to. Yeah,
- 32:37Speaker 1: all right, So we got the movie, we got Tupop,
- 32:42Speaker 1: we got Kiki, we got money, and you know, a
- 32:44Speaker 1: lifetime said it was awesome. So now you know what
- 32:48Speaker 1: we want to do a bio pic of you. Who
- 32:51Speaker 1: would you get the honor of playing you in your
- 32:55Speaker 1: bio pick? Does that have to be a celebrity or
- 32:59Speaker 1: just to pen sister or on this one, it could
- 33:03Speaker 1: be anyone who you would want it to.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Be playing me on my biopic. I'm gonna have to
- 33:16Speaker 2: say Nodge. Who's like my that's my penn sister, Bessie Twin.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Oh she's why did you choose her? Me and her
- 33:31Speaker 1: are a lot of like in some ways and she's
- 33:34Speaker 1: just like my twin. I call her my twin. She's
- 33:38Speaker 1: my twin. Like I think she would do a good job. Okay,
- 33:47Speaker 1: so we got the twin, We got tupa key key
- 33:51Speaker 1: in Mornee so Lifetime said, all right, this is great.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Lifetime said, it is time that we have to do

- 34:02Speaker 1: out to? You can name as many people as you
- 34:06Speaker 1: want or as little as you want, but who would
- 34:08Speaker 1: you like to shout out and just say thank you?
- 34:12Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna have first. Let me say my mama. Now, let's.

- 34:46Speaker 2: have to shout her out. She's phenomenal. And I went
- 34:50Speaker 2: to where I am without her, and I would have
- 34:55Speaker 2: to say, we gotta get our cold. I'm gonna have
- 34:59Speaker 2: to say him too, because he's unfiltered and honest, time out,
- 35:05Speaker 2: time out, cool, k O L D cold.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Yep. This is a conspiracy, y'all trying. Y'all trying, because

- 44:30Speaker 2: were being made to me, and I felt really down
- 44:32Speaker 2: about it because they're like, oh, you're on Amazon.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Oh I can't find you on Amazon. Oh you're not
- 44:37Speaker 1: on Amazon.

- 44:45Speaker 2: author in Jet, like a black author, you know that
- 44:48Speaker 2: that is very discouraging. And so for them to create
- 44:51Speaker 2: this space where authors that are you know, new and
- 44:56Speaker 2: up and coming like myself can find you can find
- 44:59Speaker 2: them some where and you are able to locate their books.
- 45:03Speaker 2: That creates visibility, It creates community, and I'm all for that.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Anything that's a positive impact on this community, I am
- 45:11Speaker 2: for it.
- 45:11Speaker 1: And it is just a blessing.
- 45:13Speaker 2: And I hope every day that them ladies go to
- 45:15Speaker 2: sleep they realize what they're doing, the lives.
- 45:19Speaker 1: That you guys have changed, the jobs if y'all have
- 45:23Speaker 1: made easy.
